Hello!! Well this came to my mind and would be interesting to put into words.

Something that her fans were right is that she hadn't to accept Rock Lee's confession and love. For them a No was No, which is hilarious becase their princess didnt do this with sasuke lol but anyway. After Lee saves Sakura in Death Forest, she changes her attitude towards him and started to be nice , she even defends him when Naruto said something aboout bushy-eyebrows. Even more, i dont actually remember scenes where she is rude against him after that incident in the forest. She tried to encouraged him and most of the time she was "nice" with Lee. In the Hospital in part 1 she was going to visit Sasuke and she also thought of Lee, so she gifted him some flowers too.

-All of this I speak from the anime canon, manga i dont remember tbh. Also in movies I remember her being nice with Lee too- So, what's my point and question? Why is she so bitchy towards Naruto? There is this hard fact that every author with just half a braincell knows, that is, 'IF YOU WANT A CHARACTER TO BE LIKEABLE, MAKE IT BEHAVE NICER TOWARDS THE MAIN CHARACTER'.

She should've defended Naruto from Sasuke's attacks in Orochimaru hideout like Sai.

She should've worried about Naruto's wounds after Naruto came back like an Egyptian Mummy from fighting in VoTE in part 1. Instead she was worried about Sasuke alone.

She should've fought Sasori for Naruto's safety sake instead of getting information about Sasuke.

She should’ve stayed with Naruto when he went with Karui to deal with Sasuke’s Akatsuki activities. 

She should've stood up for Naruto in her final confession like 'Sasuke-kun, if you touch Naruto, I'll have to kill you eventhough I love you'... Yeah, she wouldn't stand a chance against Sasuke. But her character would've shined a lot.

So, Nope. She defending Naruto couple of times but letting him down countless other times doesn't matter.

WHY SAKURA TREATS NARUTO BADLY ?

Sakura is the reflection of the Villagers' mindset. That is, The object of Hatred who should be treated like pest.

“Short. If it’s about being late, look I’m sorry. It’s not gonna happen again. Not that it’s any of your business or you’re the boss or anything.”

“If you’re looking to improve your shitty first impression with the café lead, you’re not doing a great job, dude.”

“We don’t even know each other.”

Lance turned the music off on his phone and unmuted the cafe playlist on the small radio beneath the counter. He brushed past Keith and the swinging doors of the kitchen to open the front doors for the day as Ellie Goulding’s soft voice filled the quiet.

Maybe he was being a little unreasonable to the outside eye, but Lance considered himself a pretty good judge of character. And there was definitely something off about this Keith guy’s energy that didn’t vibe with him. Like he didn’t have to practically spit on Lance when he opened the door for him. Yeah, it’s frustrating to not have a coworker hear you knocking on the door for an extended period of time, but he could have just said hey and moved on.

“Took you long enough.”

Geez, he was probably one of those types that thought he had it all in spades because he was related to the boss.

Well, not on Lance McClain’s watch.

By the time Pidge came in, the café had seen a steady flow of its regulars and Lance did a fantastic job of introducing each one of them to the new kid without a slip of sarcasm or irritation - he would like to thank the academy.

He even went so far as to warn Keith about which ones could be overly chatty and unintentionally keep him tied up in conversation if he wasn’t careful and any particulars they had with their drinks. From that, he learned that Keith’s whole thing seemed positive or negative twists on dismissive. The positive would be a slight scrunch of his eyebrows, the negative would involve some level of scrunching up his nose and furrowing his eyebrows. Scrunching and furrowing were almost the same, it was the nose thing that set them apart.

Which, okay kind of endearing, but wholly a little annoying if Lance was being honest.

Would it kill the guy to speak?

And not just the single syllable cryptic song and dance routine that was borderline robotic.

What would it take to get a full sentence out of this guy?

Pidge slid into her spot in the kitchen and took over training, showing Keith where stuff was, the trick to get the freezer open, etc. and it was like a switch. Lance could hear clear up to the register Keith’s laughter and his voice dipping and raising and monotoning in complete sentences. So again -

What the fuck?

What had he done to get the cold shoulder?

If anyone should be serving ice, it was Lance. He was the one that caught Keith’s attitude for no good reason.

Whatever.

With any luck, he’d be there for a month before bailing and they could go back to the previous harmony they once enjoyed.

Shift no. 8 with Keith Kogane.

He rarely left the back if he didn’t need to clean a table or refill the condiment stations, so Lance’s focus immediately snapped from the cup in his hand - halfway through writing a customer’s name on the sleeve - when Keith swept through the swinging doors and made a beeline for the table an older woman sat flipping through a magazine. There was a bowl in his hands and Lance knew for a fact that the woman hadn’t ordered any food, he would know since he was the guy that rang in her order.

A throat cleared and Lance was yanked back to the customer still standing in front of him with their eyebrows raised in question.

“Sorry, spaced out there for a second.” He used his best script on the cup and asked if they wanted whip cream on it (free of charge since he was totally doing his best to bribe them with it).

Lance moved to the grinder and started cranking out the espresso beans to put into the machine while Keith was still talking with the one customer. Because of the grinder doing its thing and buzz from the cooler and music, he couldn’t hear their conversation. It was a lot of guessing on his end as the woman glanced up from her magazine as Keith asked her something, he could see the tips of Keith’s ears pink from where his hair was pulled back. Keith gestured to the mysterious bowl in his hands, to the woman, down to the service dog at her feet, topped off with the tensest shoulder shrug Lance had ever seen.

And that was saying something.

Keith was a pretty tense person as a default setting.

Lance transferred the scoop of espresso to the machine and placed the cup under it before punching the buttons and smoothly sliding to another end of the kitchen to get a better view of whatever Keith was doing.

The woman smiled and Lance watched as what had to be at least 20 years of tension leave Keith in a whoosh as his shoulders lifted and he smiled.

Honest to god smiled.

Like second grader on picture day and actually enjoying it for once kind of smile. Exactly the kind Lance was weak for.

He watched Keith set the bowl down in front of the dog and quietly excused himself before he left the table and came back around into the kitchen.

When he burst through the door his eyes met Lance’s and the tension was back. He scrunched his brows and looked off at a random corner of the ceiling, puffing a breath out to ruffle his bangs.

“It’s hot out today and I asked the owner if it was okay to give the dog some water. I want them to know I think they’re doing a good job.”

Lance felt his mouth work around forming words, but nothing was coming out. He blinked as he watched Keith take the cup of espresso out from the machine and pick up where Lance had left off.

Shift no. 34 with Keith Kogane.

“You know, if you’re going to offer to open, the least you could do is actually bother to do it right.” Lance agitatedly tied his apron behind his waist and grabbed a box of bar towels off a shelf.

“Wh- Do it right?! I did!”

“Hm, nope.”

“Are you kidding me? I did everything on the list!”

“Yeah, half-assed.”

Keith punched his numbers into the register and shoved through the kitchen doors onto the floor with enough force for one to bang against the wall. “Bullshit, Lance.”

Shift no. 14 with Keith Kogane.

“Here, try this.”

Keith glanced down at the steaming cup being pushed toward him across the counter. His eyes flitted back up to Lance’s before going back to the cup. “Why?”

“Allura lets me experiment with drinks and if it’s good, she’ll let me offer it as a weekend special - if we’re not too busy, it isn’t obscenely difficult to reproduce by any of the other workers, and we have enough ingredients for our menu items first.”

“I, uh-”

Lance scoffed and folded his arms. “Dude, it’s not poisoned, quit looking like it’s gonna burn a hole through the cup and counter like acid. Besides, if it’s bad, you get the first honor of telling me so.”

Keith reached for the drink, flashing one of the smirks Lance was still learning the ins and outs of. “Well, I do really enjoy telling you when you’re wrong.”

“Good to see I picked such a gracious first contestant. Oh wait!” Lance lunged forward and took the cup from Keith’s hands, inches from his mouth. He popped the lid off and grabbed for the shaker with cinnamon in it, topping it off with a few generous shakes before flourishing it back to Keith.

Keith rolled his eyes, the corner of his mouth tipping up as he reached back for the cup and took a hesitantly small sip of it. Lance watched in anticipation as Keith considered it, deemed it safe for consumption, and took a bigger drink. Lance grinned as he watched Keith’s eyes get a little bit bigger. He lowered the cup and stared at it for a moment.

“Fuck, I really, really like telling you when you’re wrong, but this is actually really good.”

Lance laughed and bowed. “You’re welcome.”

Shift no. 20 with Keith Kogane.

“Here.”

Lance turned the tap water off and grabbed a bar towel to dry his hands before turning to Keith and taking the cup offered out in his hands.

Keith worried his bottom lip between his teeth as Lance popped the lid off of the cold cup and sniffed at the drink. “It’s not poisoned. It’s something I threw together a few years ago at the last cafe I worked at, my boss put it on the menu, but it’s cool if you don’t like it.”

Shift no. 9 with Keith Kogane.

If Lance had to make one more frappe he was going to throw up.

Every college-age group shuffling through the door was just another nail in his coffin. It was truly shaping up to be a shift from hell as he was taken off register and placed in the kitchen for Keith to put some miles in on it. They just seemed to keep getting busier - no one else was available to come in or come in earlier while Allura was on a conference call and Lance wanted to die.

If they could suddenly get people that just all so happened to want what they had already brewed or an Americano, that would be great.

Or if he could take a break and get a change of scenery with the register, that would be good too.

Because, to be honest, if he had to overhear Keith have one more social interaction that didn’t quite land, he was going to lose it. It shouldn’t be that hard. Razzle dazzle them with a smile, ask how they are, if they want any extras on their drink, insert any offhand small talk comment, crank the smile up a bit and assure them their order will be up in a moment and that’s it.

The indifferent cool guy routine wasn’t exactly the usual coffee shop demeanor around here. Maybe it worked for the campy, pretentious gig Keith had before but Allura tended to like a more mainstream brand of atmosphere - even if they were lying through their teeth. Lance was almost 100% positive that it took Keith more energy to do whatever the hell he was doing over the polite smile and scripted dialogue every service industry tended to regurgitate on its employees.

Not that Allura was one of those bosses and they were technically an independent coffee shop, but a lot of the base principles were the same.

A break in the line finally afforded Keith and Lance to get through the orders and catch their breath. Keith politely scooted the tip jar off of the counter to rifle through it, he plucked out someone’s straw wrapper and cursed them to step in gum in the parking lot before getting to a folded piece of paper tucked inside of a dollar bill.  Lance bit the inside of his cheek as Keith opened the paper, revealing a girl’s name and phone number.

Lance grabbed the paper, inspecting it. “Y’know, Allura doesn’t like it when we flirt with the customers.”

Keith snatched the paper back, crumpling it up and throwing it into the trash can. “Except I wasn’t and I’m gay.”

Shift no. 23 with Keith Kogane.

“It’s very easy to see that somehow you and Keith got off on the wrong foot.”

“That’s putting it lightly, ‘Llura.”

Allura sighed and turned in her office chair to face Lance fully. “I don’t know why or how you two found just the right buttons to push with each other in such a short amount of time, but something has to give.”

Lance spun in his chair and picked at a loose thread in his pants. “Did Keith tell you ‘bout this? Because the adult thing would have been to say something to my face.”

“Keith didn’t say anything, Lance. Anyone could smell the tension off of the two of you in the next county. Neither of you is the least bit subtle. You’re incredibly alike, I had hoped you two would have been good together between your combined work experience and personalities I’d expected to mesh better.” Allura tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear and looked Lance over. “Obviously, you two enjoy defying the odds. Two seconds in the door and you were ready to butt heads.”

Lance’s chair came to an abrupt halt, the wheels screeched against the floor. “If you knew about that then he did say something.”

“No, Lance.” Allura gestured up to the computer monitor with the security camera feed. “I watched you let him in that morning. I’ve known both of you now for several years and am well familiar with your body language. I should have addressed this with you two sooner, but I had hoped you would fix it yourself.”

“So, are you gonna fire us?”

Allura clicked her tongue, swatting Lance’s knee playfully. “Of course not. Consider it a soft intervention before I become officially disappointed.”

“Uggh, okay. Okay, alright, geez. You know I hate that word. We’ll work on it.”

Allura laughed, turning her chair back to her computer and booting it up. “Then don’t make me use it.

Shift no. 89 with Keith Kogane.

It was rare that he closed and from what he knew from Keith’s availability, he didn’t close either. So, it was a bit of surprise when Keith came bustling into the back room for an apron right before shift switch. Lance did a double take between the schedule sheet and Keith, raising his eyebrows because right there it was the entire time. It would be him, Keith, and two other people for the rest of the night.

The shift went a lot better than he expected, Keith was a solidly adept closer - not always a common occurrence when someone usually works the day shift.

As Lance locked the doors behind them for the night, Keith waited for him before walking out into the parking lot. It took him a minute to compute the number of cars left in the parking lot with the number of people - the other two employees were getting into their cars and pulling off by the time he reached his own car and whirled around to catch sight of Keith walking down the sidewalk.

“What is he doing?” Lance scratched his head, before dropping his hand and lifting his face up to the sky. “Oh my god, he’s going to be murdered.”

He got in his car and quickly caught up to Keith, slowly driving his car beside the sidewalk. “Dude, what are you doing?”

Keith looked over his shoulder and Lance knew before he even opened his mouth how much sass was about to be thrown his way - could hear the tone clear as a bell in his head. “Going home.”

“Duh, but like - where’s your car?”

“In the shop. I’m headed for the bus stop and, not to be rude, but I gotta be quick if I’m going to make the stop in time.” Keith readjusted the bag on his back and faced forward again.

“No, c’mon. I’m not going to let you do that.”

“Hm, but you can’t actually stop me so...”

“Listen, I’m not about to let your dead body weigh on my conscious for the rest of my life. That causes stress and stress causes premature wrinkles and I’m too beautiful to wrinkle prematurely. Get in, I’ll give you a ride.”

He saw Keith mistep, his body freezing up before shuffling forward faster. “You don’t have to do that.”

“Do you want me to call Allura? Do you know who Allura lives with?”

At that, Keith squared his shoulders and turned back to glare at Lance. “You wouldn’t.”

“I would, actually. And I have Allura on speed dial so, you better be quick.”

“Why do you have Allura on speed dial?”

“Oh look at that, my call app is open, I’m pressing the number four, and-”

Keith swore and lunged for the passenger side door, flinging it open and plopping into the seat before closing the door. Lance’s grin was so wide it was actually starting to hurt a little after a long shift of it, but the sheer look of panic on Keith’s face was more than worth it.

“Cool. What’s your address?”

“I’m not giving you my address, you’re just going to drive me to the bus stop.”

“No, I’m not.”

“Yes, you are.”

“Nope, don’t think so.”

“Lance.”

“Keith.”

“Lance.”

“Look, I can go all night, dude. If you don’t tell me your address, I’m just gonna go to my place where we can have an impromptu sleepover and you can meet my roommate Hunk and my cat and we’ll watch Netflix and you’ll be a prisoner to our hospitality and an unmatched, whole-ass breakfast with your choice of pancakes or waffles.”

They came to stop at a red light, thirty feet from the bus stop when the locks clicked into place as Keith reached for the door.

“Gotta be quicker than that, Kogane.”

Keith flopped back in the seat and watched as they passed the bus stop. “Oh, do you normally kidnap people with false pretenses?”

Lance jerked in his seat, checking his rearview mirror as he switched lanes before glancing back to Keith. “Y’know I’m not gonna like murder you or anything, right? Like we had our false starts, but I don’t hate you or anything. I don’t even dislike you. I actually enjoy working with you. And if you don’t feel comfortable telling me your address, I can drop you off at Shiro and Allura’s. It’s just - the bus stops can get sketchy this time of night and I obviously don’t know where you live, so I don’t know what parts of town you’d be passing through and if I could have kept you from getting stabbed or murdered, then I want to.”

“You do realize I can take care of myself, right? I’m an adult. I’ve had to ride the bus before. And I work out with Shiro, so I can more than hold my own against anyone that comes along.”

He felt Keith’s eyes on him, the scrutiny a little more than unnerving because he did several stupid things in rapid succession: underestimated Keith, almost admitted more than he should, and locked Keith in his car and said he wouldn’t murder him even though that’s probably exactly what murderers say.

Keith sighed, Lance saw him shaking his head in his peripheral vision. “I live off Pine Street on Avondale. It’s the apartment complex at the end of the road.”

Lance nodded and switched lanes again to turn into a parking lot and go back in the right direction of Keith’s place.

“And Lance?”

“Yeah?”

“I don’t dislike you either.”

Lance woke up on Keith’s last day at the café feeling a goopy, bittersweet sap weighing heavy and thick on his chest because he was dramatic and after two years a little worried that their workplace is what held up their communication and connection.

He can’t be blamed for that, Keith’s forgetful as hell and Lance can come off strong. He’s nothing if not self-aware.

It was going to be super weird not having Keith there to sneak his way to Lance’s phone and switch the playlist for his own or not having the comforting scent of espresso and Keith’s shampoo buzzing in his head.

The latter thing was a little creepy, but he couldn’t help it.

He had tried.

Didn’t work.

And it had been two years, and Keith was quitting because he finally got a graphic design job that would put his degree to use. He’d be making a lot better money there than a minimum wage food industry gig, so Lance should be happy for him.

“I can hear you overthinking.”

Lance scrubbed a hand through his hair and scoffed. “Well, excuse me, your majesty. Forgive me for interrupting your beauty sleep, but it’s like the end of an era. This is where we find out whether we got along just because we had the same work environment and hung out as much as we did because we got scheduled together so often.”

Keith turned over, hooking his chin over Lance’s shoulder and turning his face in to brush his nose along Lance’s neck. “The café was the start, we’ve got everywhere else to go now.”

Lance groaned and turned over in bed, dragging Keith to him in an armful of blankets. He pressed his mouth to the hollow of Keith’s throat, trying valiantly to fight and hide a smile. “Don’t get romantic on me at 7 a.m., you know how I get.”

Keith smoothed his hand over the worn cotton of Lance’s t-shirt, ducking his face into Lance’s bedhead. “Is a new era okay?”

He pulled back and studied Keith, he brushed his long bangs away from his face. Lance kissed Keith then, a quick, innocent thing turned something longer and indulging as Keith moved for a better angle and Lance swiped his tongue over the seam of Keith’s lips. Hands wound tighter and legs tangled further, the soft whisper of sheets breaking the quiet of the morning as they shifted as close as they could be.

Anything together would be good.

a/n: I work in a place that has a café and I am ~~barely~~ café trained. I’m v good at making bean water and nothing else - well, except ice water. also I realize there might be conflicting thoughts on the service dog thing, but this was based on something that happened in the cafe where I work and is probably not considered the right etiquette. so disclaimer to always be respectful of animals on the job and be aware to what the owner needs and is comfortable with. klancetober didn’t go...great or anywhere for me after like prompt 3 or 4. but I’m nothing if not foolishly...yeah, that’s it. MKP Series | Ladybug and Wolf

Chapter II: Holy Shit! This is Surreal!

After Amber took her shower she inspected the insect kwami again. It seemed like an persistant little pest that would follow her wherever she went, nagging on about being some holder and whatnot. It gets really irritating when the ladybug continues to talk while Amber's taking a shower. Talk about invading privacy much? But it didn't seem to faze the kwami in the slightest. "Can't you talk to me once I've calmed down?" To believe Amber had lost it when Tikki (if that's her name) insisted her to wear the earrings, and she continued to deny them. Eventually, Tikki sighed in discontent, "Goodness, for a miraculous holder you sure are stubborn!"

"So? I have the right to deny jewelry as much as I please. Besides, it wouldn't fit with anything I wear." Amber may not be a fashionable person, but at least she's familiar with color. Tikki pouted, "Amber, this is serious! This isn't about fashion. There's evil lurking deep in this world that I sense. I sense that someone with evil intentions is using our powers to destroy not only your city, but rule the entirety of this world!" She exclaimed.

"... You're not joking, are you?" Amber should've figured by now that talking to a floating kwami she already lost her sanity. At this point, why bother denying anything else? The teenager sighed. "Okay, fine. I'll wear them, but only around nighttime, got it?"

"Well, you actually have to wear them all times, but this is an improvement." Tikki smiled. Amber on the other hand simply rolled her eyes in annoyance. "So, uh, what powers do I get?" The teen didn't exactly believe the whole "superpower" thing, but maybe she'll look cool within the process.

"I'm so glad you asked!" Tikki explained, "Every Ladybug gets a specialized yo-yo that can be manipulated into any weapon possible. It's your ultimate offense level! Then, you can purify evil at any time..." Wait, so all she gets is a stupid yo-yo? How lame. Suddenly, the thought of becoming a superhero didn't seem as appealing than before. Well, if she's going to deal with evil or whatever, better get used to talking bugs and looking like a polka dotted weirdo. Or maybe this is a really long dream, and then she'll wake up, get ready to train and practice.

Yeah.

"So Tikki, do I get to beat up criminals? Or is there some evil bad guy that I need to find?"

"Were you even listening?" 

Uh, no? "About villains...? I blanked out on that part." Tikki released a sigh, "Okay Amber," she began, "Being a superhero means carrying full time responsibilities of one. You must fight supernatural crime while hiding your identity. It won't be easy, but I believe that you can do it. If it makes you feel at ease I'll hide here until nightfall. That way you can process everything, and then experience being a Ladybug during the night." Everything is already surreal, and maybe she's looking at this at a comedic approach than serious. The tomboy shoved her hands into her pockets and release a light hearted sigh, "Tikki, chill, I'll commit to the test trial tonight. If it's awesome then I'll go with the flow. In the meantime, I gotta hang with my bros... Just um, don't make yourself visible." Oddly, she felt somewhat guilty for leaving the kwami.

Also, she didn't have anyone to hang with, either.

Amber returned home after six o'clock. She spent her hours at the arcade playing video games and Dance Dance Revolution until she gotten sweaty and exhausted. Went to the milk tea shop and bought a boba smoothie, then the music store to listen to some jams. Unfortunately, Jimin got no jams in his lines. Going home was rather a lonely experience to be frank. It's not fun being excluded because of difference, and it sucks when nobody cares for sports. Oh well... 

Took a quick shower, then went to sleep without any thoughts of kwamis and jewelry and powers, all that type of junk. 

Amber slowly opened her eyes and released a soft yawn. She glanced at the electric clock beside her and realized it was around 11:30ish. Huh, didn't realize she'd wake up this late. "What a weird dream..." Haha, think it was something silly about being a superhero and whatnot. How weird! Figured sleeping would do the trick.

The girl slid off the bed before trekking past the other bedrooms. Sulli and Victoria share bunk beds, but at least they have more bedroom space. And besides, manager Lee-oppa has a wider room compare to all of them! Ugh, totally not the right mood to think sour. Amber sighed as she flicked the light switch on...

... Only to find a floating bobbleheaded ladybug hovering in front of her.

"Eeep!" Amber would've nearly screeched if it wasn't for the bug hushing her. Holy shit, this is definitely real! "Well, have you finally decided?" Amber couldn't get the chance to speak with Tikki moving closer. Two red wings foward, three human feet backwards. "D-d-decided what?" Okay, so sleep didn't cure away this bug, and apparently self denial isn't working either. Tikki folded her arms with a frown, "That's not going to work. Come on! It won't be bad, all you have to do is believe!"

"Shh!" Amber nearly peed herself from Tikki's incredibly high pitched voice. It's too cute for liking! "Ugh, okay, fine. Let me go relieve myself, and I'll... wear the earrings." Amber mumbled at the very end.

"Yay!"

After taking a quick piss, Amber snuck back quietly into her room and grabbed the tiny jewelry box hidden beneath the pillow. She wasn't sure if she was insane or not, but if so, she concluded writing a letter to her family back in the States explaining the situation. But then again, telling your family about the horrible diet restrictions, rigorous exercises, homesickness and possible sanity defects that includes witnessing talking bugs isn't going to help anything. It won't reach the goal of being the best! And Amber cannot give up now. She opened the box, and with great reluctancy took the polka dotted earrings out of the cushion and slowly placed them in each ear. After pinning the edges with nicklebacks, Amber silently ( but diligently ) returned to the bathroom. At the moment her large black t-shirt and gray shorts conflicted horribly with the red earrings. In fact, her short rowdy black hair covers the earrings, "Tikki, like, I look freaking stupid. There's nothing attractive about this, at all." Her face doesn't match, her body outline... Like, nothing, nada, not fitting with these red sores for earrings.

"Relax Amber," Tikki sat herself on Amber's narrow shoulder. "Just because you're not naturally feminine doesn't make you beautiful. This is the first step in appreciating beauty as it is."

"Why can't you give Krystal these earrings? I mean, I don't even fit superhero material." To be brutually honest, Amber always concluded nobody would ever find her beautiful. Hero, no hero, or just being herself, everyone thought she's an average ugly girl. "Because Krystal wasn't assigned for the job, Amber. You are. But you have to try... Do you have anywhere to leave the building?" Huh? Weren't they just talking about beauty? Amber blinked. "Uh, yeah. I have a window which leads to a fire escape. It's in my manager's room, though. Then I have the main exit, but my manager is strict aboout us going out at night."

"You're manager is out the dorm. He won't be back until one thirty." Amber immediately grew confused. What does Tikki mean by that? Amber opened her mouth, but nothing seemed to fall out. "Okay. So, fire escape?"

"Yes."

. . .

Amber knew the moment she entered manager oppa's room, escaped through the window amd carefully lowering herself down a fifteen foot apartment she's truly lost it. Oh yes, this screams DEEZ NUTZ! On an infinite level. At least on the back section of the dorm, or else everyone would witness her stupidity. The tomboy plopped to the ground with ease, and she glared at the little red kwami bug.

"Okay, now what?" It's probably already 12:00 o'clock midnight. "Now say, "Spots on!" And I'll be sucked into the earrings and bestow you Ladybug powers!" Tikki seemed to be excited about this. Amber on the hand just wanted to hide back in her dorm. Talk about absolute embarrassment...

"Fine. Tikki, spots on!" Tikki flew towards Amber in a red blur before a bright flash filled Amber's vision. 

Red flourished around her limbs, and her nimble fingers brushed across her cheerful eyes and felt fresh energy renewing her body. Peace! Amber blinked when she found herself making the peace sign. Like, what?

Wait. 

WAIT. This didn't just happen, did it?! Amber could feel tight spandex covering her entire frame. Red, black and specks of silver polka dots decorated her body. Heck, even her hands are encased in red spandex! The girl immediately touched her face. A mask?! Holy shit, this is surreal!

Hi, can you compare team taka to team 7? I mean, I want to know why you think that Taka members are better friends for Sasuke than team 7 (I'm referring to one o your post) and I don't want to be rude (if that sounded like that- I'm sorry), I'm just curious about you opinion ✌️

If Sasuke were a flower, Team7 would pick it up and put it in a vase, not caring about its well-being, only about their own enjoyment, while Team Taka would sit on the grass and admire it, making sure of not stepping over it.

(anti-S*kura, anti-N*ruto, anti-SS, anti-ending, anti-Team7 long post under the cut. It’s my opinion, on my blog, PROPERLY TAGGED. Which means that if someone decides to bitch aboout it they’re just looking for trouble)

I’m not offended, why would I be? I find it annoying when I receive troll messages that clearly want to raise drama over anti vs pro stuff, or when I receive asks I already replied to, not real ones.

Preliminary notice: I don’t hate S*kura when she’s at her best, like being her own person living her own life, getting stronger and interacting with characters she is herself with. All the negative things I sayabout her refer to her behavior around Sasuke, or around N*ruto, whenever Sasuke is concerned. Also I find N*ruto’s possessive side interesting, because it makes him less of a random shounen protagonist, and more of a layered character that is not just a ball of sunshine.

Team7’s teamwork was terrible most of the time, S*kura was mostly concerned with Sasuke without considering N*ruto, who instead wanted to shine. Of all them Sasuke was the best at teamwork. He put his life on the line to protect them. He gave them support when they needed it, like sharing hisfood with N*ruto, or training with him when he wasn’t able to focus chakra on his feet and climb trees, or when he discreetly cheered S*kura up when she was worried about the chuunin exam. They eventually got better, but still they didn’t really act as a real, mutually supportive team, not as well as Team10 or Team8, who have excellent teamwork and great friendship.

N*ruto and S*kura cared about Sasuke in their own way, but they never stopped to think what Sasuke really wanted and why. When S*kura tried to stop Sasuke from leaving, in part 1, she made it all about her, like don’t leave me, I have family but I’ll be sad if you leave me, I’ll do anything to make you happy. It was all about her. Just like she did the second time. During the war she was self-centered, as the reunited Team7 was fighting, she was thinking about finally showing the boys that she was equal to them now, instead of focusing on a war that was putting everyone in danger, from the comrades around her to her parents back home. And when it’s over she makes it again about her, when she starts whining and crying, if you care about me don’t leave, I love you, things can return the way they used to be…she never realized that for Sasuke things weren’t fine. Despite she was always watching him and had a crush on him. Even though she met him after he killed Danzo so she might have easily learned the truth. But she was too set on killing him without knowing his reasons. No matter how you put this, her behavior is nothing like being a good friend. Or a friend. Or a comrade.

N*ruto is definitely not as oblivious, because he knows Sasuke’s loneliness and he shares a bond with him, but he’s selfish too. He imposes his own ideas and wishes on Sasuke all the time, not realizing that while to him being happy meant having friends and being acknowledged in the village, to Sasuke they meant nothing, because more than friends he wanted his family back, because what he wanted was revenge, and even though he had cherished their time together, he had another goal ahead, without which he’d feel useless and lost. N*ruto threatened to break Sasuke’s bones to drag him back to the village, which is very possessive and selfish. Not to mention the whole “I’ll either defeat you or we’ll die togehter”, and how he imposed his own ideas on how a Hokage should be (more like he said nothing but he said it out loud) not even listening to Sasuke’s, instead using his love for Itachi as a (manipulative) weapon, claiming that he hadn’t understood him at all, hinting that he had understood him instead. And in the end, after having promised him help to change the world, he let Kakashi treat him like a child who did something stupid, instead of someone who tried to obtain the justice his brother and his family deserved. I mean, I know he means well with Sasuke, he’s just too self-centered to put himself in his shoes, and besides I’m all in for possessive domineering Naruto in Nar*sasu scenarios, but it’s nothing like being a good friend. Not like Team Taka anyway.

Team Taka is different.

When Suigetsu and Karin were fighting because no one took Suigetsu’s sword after the fight vs Killer B, Juugo made them stop saying “our relationship is like fish and water”, to remind them of how close they had become, and how they lost the sword protecting each other. It’s a very strong and beautiful way to define it.

They aren’t from the same village, there is no common ideal or belief. They are different people with different pasts. What they have in common is that they’re all alone and troubled, even though they’re not given the space they deserve, their background is often downplayed and a lot of their moments are written for comic relief.

Suigetsu is Orochimaru’s prisoner since who knows how long, he had a brother who died, there isn’t much about him and despite he’s a fun character, he surely didn’t have it easy. Juugo is bipolar, he’s a gentle creature but when his dark side takes over he becomes violent and bloodthristy, killing people and then getting consumed by remorse, he only loved Kimimaro who died, he willingly accepted prison so not to harm anyone, Orochimaru did experiments with his blood to create the curse mark, including let him kill other prisoners. Karin is the only survivor of a destroyed village, which is very similar to Sasuke’s story, she lost her mother who had her same ability to heal with her chakra, she was bitten and used, literally, by every shinobi ever, so much that her savior was Orochimaru, an evil guy, who used her for experiments but gave her more safety than she ever had.

There is nothing about Sasuke’s years in Sound. It would be interesting to know more about him getting to know their abilities and decide to recruit them. What we see is that he’s certain about them. He needs them for his goal, finding and killing Itachi, but he gives them freedom first, he tells them he won’t force them to follow him, before he explains his goal. If they refused he’d just let them go their own way. 

They aren’t bound by some code of honor, yet they stay, helping him find Itachi first, then staying by his side when he decides to destroy Konoha. They have nothing against that village and they know it’s a dangerous mission, but they don’t hesitate. Because Sasuke, their leader, but most of it all their comrade, friend and savior, needs them. 

(Suigetsu, who’s usually snarky and sarcastic, frees prisoners in Orochimaru’s hideout telling them to spread the word about Sasuke, the person who will bring peace to the world. This was later downplayed and overlooked, but it’s a strong statement, that speaks volumes of how much Team Taka appreciated Sasuke, not -just- for his looks or his coolness, but in a deeper way)

They’re not convinced of his decision of joinin Akatsuki but they stay, they fight Killer B with the best teamwork ever, just rewatch that fght and you’ll see the difference with Team7, who trained a lot to get nowhere near their level. They fight and get hurt and risk their lives to protect each other. Sasuke activates Amaterasu control to estinguish the flames injuring KArin, who previously had healed him, Juugo heals Sasuke to the cost of turning into a child, Suigetsu protected them as they left. Same when they attacked the Hokage meeting, another dangerous situation where they were outpowered, yet they didn’t back down. No matter how risky, no matter how reckless and old their friend become, maybe precisely because their friend had become like that, he needed them.

Later, they end up split because of circumstances. Karin is almost killed by Sasuke and then is captured and taken to Konoha, Sasuke gets Itachi’s eyes transplanted so he stays in the hideout, Juugo and Suigetsu manage to get free and wander, but still, when Suigetsu finds the scroll with the Edo Tensei the first thing he thinks about is giving it to Sasuke, and certainly not just because he’s better at doing it, but because he still sees him as their leader. Same for Karin, whose love and loyalty to Sasuke should not just be used as comic relief, since not only she followed him promptly, but she was the first one to jump in to action when he was almost dead, not fearing to get hurt or almost killed, and unleashing Kushina’s power for him, followed by Suigetsu and Juugo. I won’t consider Gaiden that much even though KArin’s loyalty was absolute there, and Suigetsu and Juugo were the same, only because I hate that the ending put them aside.

Team Taka was selfless and tolerant, they always respected Sasuke’s will, when they disagreed with him they voiced it, but they never imposed anything, neither their ideas nor their feelings, instead following his lead and supporting him unconditionally. And  Sasuke cared for them and respected them too. That’s why I say they’re the best team and the best friends Sasuke can have. I hope this answers your question~

“I'm gonna have to talk with him.”

“No, (Y/n).” Sam breathed out seeing the expression on your face “No, please. I- I can talk with him, you don't seem in the state to-”

“I'm in the perfect state, Sam.” you huffed, taking Mary from his arms, but you were more hurt about something else “I told him, I made it clear that he and Mary could not see each other and he-”

“Should just accept it? Gosh, (Y/n) do you even hear what you're saying?” the anger was evident in his voice, hell frustration, but his expression and everything else showed how calm he was – for Mary obviously – and you averted your eyes, kissing your daughter's forehead. You almost recoiled at his words. In all the years you'd been with Sam you had seen him angry and let down only a few times, and each of them you didn't dare say a word as it made you realize the seriousness of the situation.

“This is Dean we're talking about, my brother Dean. He's the most stubborn man you'd meet in your entire life. He never goes down without a fight for what he wants and now with Mary- did you really think he was just going to let you keep him away from her like that? He was just too shocked, even if he didn't admit it, and he was a wreck for hurting you so he did't insist on it, but- he's not going to stop wanting to see her.”

“I only want her to be happy.” you whispered, Sam's words cutting you like a knife. Maybe you had been too heartbroken when you saw Dean was leaving, maybe too disappointed and angry at the same time and you couldn't control your actions or words, and it all lead to you looking like the worst mother ever but it was the only thing that lessened the pain and that in your foggy mind had made sense.

“And I know that, I understand that- better than anyone, remember?” he whispered, getting closer as he palced a hand on the small back of your daughter who only looked between the two of you with a frown.

“I know, that's why I understand (Y/n). We've made so many dreams about this little girl, about this life, and we almost had it. Having it taken away, especially in this kind of way, it turns you into a person you don't want to be. But- but don't do this to Mary, (Y/n). I wanted to wait to talk about this but-” he sighed, licking his lips as he looked down at your daughter.

“Sweetie, will you go back to playing? Mommy and- mommy and daddy have some talking to do, alright?”

“But- but I want to hear if it is aboout me and daddy Dean.” she said with an adorable pout and Sam gave her a sad smile.

“Baby please, this is adult stuff. You won't be able to understand much, either. Just- go, and remember that the moment you want to leave you can tell us.�� he patted her head as she let a small sigh leave her lips.

“Alright, daddy.” she said a little sadly “But- but what about daddy Dean?” she was hesitant but couldn't help herself from asking.

“Mary, I gave you a promise. I intend to keep it, you don't have to worry about that. Everything is going to be alright, we will sort it out.” he said softly, leaning down to kiss the top of her head as she looked down at her hands with a small pout.

“Will you mommy?” she asked and up to this day you couldn't help but feel surprised at how she could catch some things even when you tried for her not to.

“Yeah, baby we will sort everything out. Your daddies and I will.” you swallowed the lump in your throat as you averted your eyes from hers, for the first time in very long time because you were not able to actually face her while saying something you doubted so much yourself. Besides when had you ever said something this complicated and tried to make it seem easy?

“Alright” she breathed out before you loosened your grip on her and she jumped from your lap.

“Mary?” your voice stopped her before she could leave completely “I love you princess.”

She smiled brightly up at you “I love you too, mommy.” you leaned down and pecked her cheek as she did the same with you “Daddy asked me to tell you that he loves you a lot, too.” she said in a low voice, and with a small smile and your smile unfortunately fell. You felt your heart tighten inside your chest, mostly when you realized how much it still actually meant to you. It wasn't as if you could just forget it in a couple hours but you wished you could hate him for doing this to you more than love him... but that didn't seem like the case.

You and Sam only watched her in silence as she ran away to her new friends. Even after a good few minutes you didn't dare remove your eyes from her, mostly because you wouldn't dare look at Sam. You knew – and hated even more to admit it to yourself – that whatever Sam was going to say, as he already had, was right.

“He loves her, (Y/n). More than his own life.” Sam breathed out, breaking the almost silence.

“I know that, I know.” your voice was hoarse as you looked down at your hands.

“Yet you asked of him to never come close to her? That seems logical, yeah.” he said and you frowned.

“I just- I was doing everything in my power to protect her. She- she can't live like this Sam, with a biological father she met only two days ago and another that actually is her uncle but never knew about it and has now left because- apparently everybody else's happiness matters the most? Can you even understand how messed up that is? Yeah, well I bet you can.” you let out a breath “I am trying to make this as simple as possible for her, Sam. Maybe at some point he could come back as- as her uncle, but I can't have her worrying all the time and thinking about when- when daddy Dean will come back to see her... or if he will come back.”

“He'll always come back to her, you know that. No matter what happens Dean will always come back to her... and you, that's something I have no doubt about.” Sam shook his head.

“Still, Sam-” your voice showed how tired you were “Still. I don't want to risk her happiness, I can't afford that. I- I can't think what might happen next, and I don't want her to be in the middle of this.”

“Do you not, (Y/n)?” his voice was accusing so you finally looked at him.

“What is that supposed to mean?” you whispered and he gave you a sad smile.

“For how long will you keep hiding from me? You know I can read you like an open book (Y/n) and we both know this is not only about Dean and Mary. It's mostly about Dean and you, and you can't hide that as much as you try. Not from me at least.”

“Hide what?”

“That you miss him, that you want him here and that what he did hurt you to the point you couldn't think straight and practically demanded something you never would, for him to keep his distance from Mary.” he said matter of factly as you chewed on your lower lip “Come on, (Y/n) we've always been honest.”

“Yes, before your death Sam. But you died, you were gone for years and so many things changed. And yes, yes what Dean did hurt me so fucking much I- I am scared to admit it because- because it was worse than when you died.” you swallowed the lump in your throat as Sam went silent, you fought back the tears and kept going “Do you even realize how much that scared me? And then- then I realized that he was just taking away from me so much that I- I loved without even asking me, Sam! He didn't even ask me, didn't even talk about it. And I- I felt like I was losing everything all over again, so yes maybe I was overreacting maybe I still am but- but it- it-”

“Hurts” he whispered the small word as you took in a shaky breath.

“I can't even look you in the eyes without- without feeling my skin crawl because of how guilty and sick of myself I feel for what I did but- but I can't change it, Sam. And I hate myself for that, trust me I do. I wish I could do something but I- I love him, Sam. I really love him and- and yes, him leaving me hurt me so fucking much I couldn't think straight. Of course I don't want him away from Mary, of course I want him in her life and- and of course I want him to be her father, even as you are here for her, because I know how freaking much they both mean to each other- because I know that he loves at her like his own daughter, she's a piece of his heart and I- I can't tear it away from him because I can't stand to hurt him this much... even if he just has. Gosh.” you almost choked on a sob as you pushed your hair out of your face, wiping a stray tear “I miss him so much already and I hate myself so bad for saying it out loud... to you.”

“(Y/n)” you felt Sam take hold of your hand closer to his but you didn't have the heart to look at him “There is no reason to feel bad, believe me. I- I know that, despite everything, I am still important to you. Maybe not in the way I remember, not in the way I wish I was but- that's something you'll be the one to figure out over time. However, I know that Dean is important to you. He's always been, even before my death and... I'm sure that's something you have realized yourself.”

“Sam please don't make me say that too.” you chewed on your lower lip, closing your eyes for a moment.

“I won't, don't worry.” he said with a small smile “I've never done it before, you know it, I love you too much to.”

“Do you even realize how messed up we are that my boyfriend's- ex boyfriend's brother telling me that, is one of the most normal things I've heard?” you breathed out a pained laugh and he gave you a small smile, shrugging.

“I think we both know we're far from normal. We've always been.”

“Yeah, yeah we have.” you clenched your jaw, looking at your daughter with a frown “Sam-” you looked back at him “I know that we could probably talk forever about this, because I really have too much fucking explaining to do, I know I do but now I- I can't think of anything else but-”

“Dean?” he completed your sentence when he noticed you cut off yourself abruptly.

“I know you're the last person I should talk to aboout him, I know I should probably be done with talking about him to be honest. I should be over this, or at least close to that and not still thinking about him. I know I was harsh, alright, yeah I know I was. But did I not have even the slightest right to, Sam? I- I just- he just bailed on me like that and I-”

“No, no (Y/n).” he shook his head, rushing to stop you “No, I am not blaming you. Dean isn't either, I know that. It's just- you thought you were doing the right thing but weren't; we've been through that so many times before and Dean and I have done so much worse we can't even think of judging you. But now- you know there is only one thing that matters: You have to admit your mistake and I don't mean just to yourself but to him, (Y/n).”

“Wh-what?” your eyes widened slightly “No, Sam I- I can't. No, not that. I mean I- I don't even know how I am going to let him close to Mary, I can't- I can't just see him, especially now.” you bit your lower lip, crossing your arms over your chest as you felt your lip tremble. How could you ever admit it to him? It would mean having to face him and you were by no means ready to do that.

“You're being a little stubborn now, you know that?” he gave you a small smirk and you huffed, almost like a little child. Well, he probably didn't know it but Dean was always the one to make the first move when you two argued- not that everything had ever been so serious anyway.

You sighed as you whisped out another stray tear, sniffling “I don't want him to stay away from Mary, Sam.” you mumbled and squeezed his hand “You of all people can see it crystal clear: Mary is my world. If I realize that keeping her away from Dean hurts her-”

“It is.” he cut you off gently and you bit your lower lip.

“I won't keep her away from him. I didn't really intend to keep her away from him, not- Not forever. I want her to be happy Sam, and if she needs both of you then yes I will let you both be there for her, no matter how hard it proves to be. “

“So I- I can tell Dean that you're alright with... him seeing her? That you are taking that back?” he asked reluctantly and biting your lower lip you let out a long sigh.

“It was going to happen sooner or later, I know it would. Angry and hurt me hoped that maybe it didn't have to but- still. I hate myself for giving in so fast to be honest. He hurt me Sam but it's not fair to do this to Mary the most. Yeah, you can tell him. I didn't mean it, Sam. You of all people know it but I don't- I don't really want you to say it so soon. Just let him- let him be for some time, please.”

A sigh of relief left Sam's lips “I knew you wouldn't be able to take it for long. Don't worry, (Y/n), now you are doing the right thing.”

“Yeah of course.” you pursed your lips, looking at your hands with a frown “I can do everything for her, even swallow down my pride, I promise. I'll do it all for her, though, Sam. Only for her. So don't ask me to go talk with him, don't ask me to change my opinion about him or my mind on everything I said to him apart from this. Other than Mary, he has no right on me. I just- I don't want to see him, Sam. Never again if possible. And yes, maybe I'm doing this because I am selfish, but let me be Sam! I need for once in my life to be selfish and I don't care what he does with his life.

“That's not true.” he whispered and you looked at him with a blurry vision still “You care what he does, that's exactly why you're saying and doing all of this. You care about him, and you care to know how he is, if he's doing well or not and we both know that. We've always been too close, the three of us - now four, which was always exactly what they used against us. We have always been too close for our own good, and maybe if we weren't we wouldn't be in this exact situation, who knows.” he shrugged.

“Who knows.” you repeated, taking in a deep breath “Sam, can I ask you something? But I need a honest answer.”

“I've always been honest with you, you know that.” he said and you gave him a sad smile.

“Did you know about this? Did Dean tell you about what he was going to do?” you asked, fearing to hear the answer because you couldn't afford to lose your trust in Sam but at the same time needing to hear it more than anything.

“No, no (Y/n) I swear.” he said after a long pause - or did it look like that to you? - and you let a small sigh of relief “I- I could see that something was wrong with him when he talked to me. When he apologized, but I didn't know he'd do that and- and I'm sorry, I should have probably seen it coming, should have done something to stop it but I-”

“Sam don't.” you shook your head “You didn't know it and you couldn't do anything. It's not as if... I'd blame you if you did know it and didn't stop him, or even tried to. We may be avoiding up until now because of Mary but- but it's always there. Or at least it has been, Dean and I are over now... I guess. But-” you frowned “He apologized?”

Sam pursed his lips as he looked down at your hands that were still together, none of you even thinking of pulling away “For everything. He... felt guilty for- for you and him. For what you feel for each other and he said he was sorry that above everything... he couldn't change how much he loved you. He said how sorry he was that these four almost five years have been the worst and best of his life because of you know. I could see it was too much for him, I could understand it and I know I wanted to tell him something to- to make it better but I was too hurt, too angry, too... jealous, as much as I hate to admit it.” he confessed and you squeezed his hand.

“Nobody can blame you for that and I certainly am the last person that can judge you too.” you gave him a sad smile.

“It doesn't matter, not now at least.” he glanced at Mary, smiling fondly at his child in a way that made your heart swell inside your chest “We both know as parents that now that she's here, in our lives, she's a priority. She was from the moment we found out about her. When I found out.” he looked at you with a small grin “Or at least when all freaked out you spilled it to me.” he chuckled as you shut your eyes at the memory, not the most ideal way to tell your boyfriend he would be a father for sure “And we both understand we have to put her first and not hold any grudges on each other, that's why I am putting everything aside... and that's why you should to.”

“I wish I could, Sam.” you found yourself locking fingers with him the way you'd do so effortlessly in the past “But it's not that easy, not anymore.”

~The following morning~

“And that's all of the things I need for today.” you said handing Sam the small list “Sam, really I could go myself, it's no big deal.”

“No, (Y/n) you don't have to. What am I here for?” he said, putting on his jacket “Besides, you let me sleep here. Eat and everything. It's the least I can do.” he shrugged.

“This house is yours just as much as it is mine and Mary's, I need you to know that. A bed in the guest room is the least Ican offer you. Besides, you take such good care of Mary and I'll have to return to my job very soon, I only have today off and that's it.” you dried your hands with a towel.

“I'm taking care of my daughter, you shouldn't have to thank me about that.” he said firmly, looking deeply in your eyes as you sighed and gave him a shy smile “But you know I'm not doing this because of the bed in the guest room. You are not alright, (Y/n) and we both know it.”

“Sam I told you, I am fine! Just look at me!” you motioned to yourself but he didn't smile, he only clenched his jaw.

“I am, and you look nothing like fine to me. Just because this very moment the room in not spinning for you and you don't want to throw up the dinner the way you did last night, doesn't mean we're over it. You're going to see a doctor the soonest possible, and I'm not taking no for an answer.” he gave you a stern look and you rolled your eyes.

“You have not changed one single bit.” you huffed “Fine, yeah fine I'll see a doctor when I have time.”

“Tomorrow.” he said, giving you a look and your eyebrows only shot up in surprise.

“Sam!” you exclaimed, giving him a look “Seriously, relax. It must be a bug or something for all we know. It will be over soon. Point is I feel much much better now. Besides-” you crossed your arms over your chest “Who knows, maybe it's a witch and while we are supposed to look for a hex bag we are at the doctor and everything gets worse.” you smirked but he wasn't smiling at all.

You could partially understand him. You looked like hell the previous night, it almost scared Mary, and you couldn't even begin to imagine how worried Sam must have been when the tray with the food fell from your hands. It felt like a mix of both your worst hangover and food poisoning, which you really believed was the case because you had ordered out.

“Very funny but you're not off the hook, we will go to the doctor. Tomorrow. End of discussion.” he stated gently yet in a stern tone and you rolled your eyes at him.

“You really have to stop worrying so much.” you muttered.

“About you? When have I ever?” he asked with a small smirk and you chuckled, nodding your head.

“Right, so no witch hunting and only grocery shopping hm? Fine.”

“But mommy-!” Mary's voice caught your attention and both you and Sam looked down. The man knelt down to help her put on her jacket “Witches are not real!” she giggled and you only smiled, not just because of what she said but because of the way she said it. She was particularly scared of them after watching Snow White and Dean and you had tried very hard to convince her that they weren't real and couldn't hurt her. And now she really seemed to believe it and actually say it herself while laughing.

“Of course they are not, I must be really silly to say that.” you giggled, patting her head as she laughed.

“So what's real then?” Sam asked with a dimpled smile as he held the jacket for her to put her arms through the sleeves.

“Unicorns!” she exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air as Sam and you chuckled. You leaned against the kitchen counter, watching them with a smile.

“And how do you know that?” he got finished helping her but still stayed at her eye-level.

“Mommy and daddy Dean told me! They even showed me pictures! They are so beautiful daddy!” she grinned, her green eyes sparkling with happiness.

Sam chuckled, patting her head “Of course they are, sweetheart.” he kissed her forehead as he got up “Picky much?” he said to you in a soft voice with a smirk and you laughed, shrugging.

“Alright, princess. Let's go.” he said as he took hold of her hand.

“Daddy Sam where are we going?” the little voice made Sam look down and smile.

He gave a squeeze to Mary's hand and looked back up “I thought I told you, grocery shopping.”

“But the grocery shop is on the other direction where we left out car.” she pointed back, grinning up at him as he laughed.

“You're too smart for my own good, just like your mama.” he chuckled, bending down to pick her up with a squeal from her “We will go grocery shopping too, but first we gotta visit someone that seems to have missed you a lot.”

“Who?” she frowned, tilting her head to the side as she looked at the cars around her.

“Someone you love very much and that I know you will be very glad to see.” he said, pecking her cheek.

“Who?” she repeated her previous question “Mommy said we should hurry because she's gotta make pie and I can't wait for that.”

He chuckled “Of course you can't, you're a Winchester.” he shook his head with a smile “Dn't worry, we won't take much timee. I just made you a promise and I really wanted to keep it. I made a promise to someone else too and this was the perfect chance.”

“Does mommy know?”

“Well technically, no. But she will find out, just let me be the one to tell her ok?”

“You're sneaking on mommy.” she giggled and Sam smiled at her “Daddy Dean would do that many times, although it was mostly for getting her gifts. She always liked those, and I helped him pick out a lot of things. From- from that (y/f/c) dress, to a pair of shoes so sparkly like for a princess to- to that ring.” she rambled and Sam paid as much attention as he could with all the thoughts running through his mind.

“Ring?” he asked, glancing at her as she gave him a small nod.

“Yeah in that, small box that is- is-” she made hand motions and funny faces that made Sam chuckle “Are we going to get her a gift too?”

“Well, I am not sure. Maybe we could another time after we've planned everything out. For now something else matters, which I don't know how fond of it she'll be. She won't be mad, not really,I know that but we couldn't miss out on this opportunity. Besides, he's missed you a whole lot.”

“Missed me?” she gave him an adorable frown.

“You'll see princess.” he said, putting her down as he raised a hand to knock on the door but it burst open before he could realize it.

“Daddy?” Mary's eyes widened but a smile slowly appeared on her face.

“Hey pumpkin.” the man breathed out as his own grin could almost lighten up an entire room “Wanna give your old man a hug?” he breathed out as she seemed frozen in place for a moment.

She glanced at Sam as if for permission and with a smile he gave her a subtle nod and without waiting a split second she jumped, and ran towards the older Winchester who didn't even think of bending down to pick her up as he hugged her, a small squeal leaving her lips.

“I missed you daddy, so so much!” she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck as he held her tightly to him.

“We saw each other just yesterday sweetheart.” he said but Sam could see it clearly that he had missed her too. Maybe it had been a little less than 24 hours but then again he was used to spending almost all of his day with her, Sam knew that's what he at least would try to do himself, so being separated even for a few must have been really hard.

“But it's been too long.” she pouted at him and Dean chuckled, a kind of laugh Sam had not seen his brother have ever before.

“If you say so, bug.” he said in a lower voice tone as he kissed the top of her head once more and moved to the side to let Sam in. The younger Winchester walked in, closing the door behind him as he took a look around him. It was exceptionally clean for a motel room used by his own brother.

“Never thought there would come a day when we'd be inside a motel and it would be this... tidy and all.” Sam muttered with a perplexed look and Dean let out a chuckle.

“A thing or two stuck with me while raising a kid, I can't help it anymore.” Dean shrugged with a smile, that fluttered slightly when he realized what he'd said. Probably not the most ideal thing considering who said kid was and what his brother was to her.

“Daddy, when will you be coming back? Mommy's not all that happy, and she's sick missing you.” Mary mumbled, catching their attention as Dean only gave her a tight smile.

“If she's so sick missing me she could have done something about it.” Dean mumbled mostly to himself. Sure, he knew he didn't have the right to speak not when he had practically left you without a warning but he couldn't help but feel slightly hurt himself, not because of Sam or what you told him about Mary, but because of the fact that you didn't do much to stop him. He thought- hoped that you would at least try to convince him to stay, that he actually meant something to you; but that to him it only showed that you had never gotten over Sam.

“But she can't do anything, she is sick daddy. She feels really dizzy sometimes.” Mary insisted and only then did Dean really understand what she meant, literally.

“She's what?” he frowned, worry etching inside him as his head snapped to Sam.

“It's fine.” Sam said softly, shaking his head “She's better today, she thinks it's a bug or something we ate last night. But I'll make her visit a doctor tomorrow, just to be sure.” he tried to soothe him down but Dean still felt on edge.

“But you will come back to take care of her?” Mary looked up at him but he shook his head, sighing heavily.

“Sweetheart, we talked about this. I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. Besides, your mommy isn't really fond of me being close to you either.” he gave her a forced smile as he sat her down on his bed.

“Does she know you're here?” he asked as he sat next to her, and then placed her on his lap.

“No, but- there are maybe a few things you need to know.”

“Of course she wouldn't. Would kill you if she found out, what excuse did you find this time huh?” Dean asked bitterly.

“None, we just found the opportunity to come here the soonest we could after Jody told me where you were staying. But that's not the point as of now. She- (Y/n) and I had a talk.” Sam said, taking a chair to sit right in front of his brother “And she's realized her mistake.”

“What's that supposed to mean?”

“She won't keep you away from Mary, she doesn't really want that. Never did actually.” Sam breathed out with a gentle smile and Dean's eyebrows almost shot up “She was angry-” Sam continued “And I won't disagree with that, but she was mostly hurt and she didn't realize what she was saying that day. I- I talked with her, at the park and later at home about what she told you and- she hates herself for that Dean, she really does.”

“But she won't tell me herself, will she?” Dean pursed his lips as his eyes casted down to the little girl.

“Dean come on, man. Just because she regrets what happened between the two of you as far as Mary is concerned doesn't mean she can just as easily face you and apologize. You hurt her, alright? You really hurt and as much as you are my brother you know that on this- I will take her side. And, no-” Sam clenched his jaw “It's not becaue of what happened between her and I, or mostly between her and you. It was not right, what you did to her, and we both know it. You gave up on her, Dean, for Chuck's sake! You ca't just expect her to be alright with it, forgive you and come here with a smile and Mary and tell you everything's just peachy because you know all too well- it's not!”

“You don't have to rub it on my face, I know what I'm doing- what I did was wrong. But you know I have no other choice.” Dean grumbled as Sam shook his head.

“I'm not rubbing it in your face and you know it. You've heard worse from me.” he said honestly “But you're a father, Dean, for the love of!” Sam exclaimed, but still in a soft voice and Dean's breath almost got caught in his throat “You can't act like a child.” he added and Dean was still caught staring at his brother.

“What is daddy Sam talking about?” Mary's voice broke the silence and Dean looked down at her, a perplexed look on his face.

Dean opened and closed his mouth several times, unable to comprehend the few words that had been uttered in less than a minute “It's nothing, sweetheart.” he breathed out, ruffling her hair “Just making a casual talk, that's all.”

“About mommy?”

“Yeah, and how daddy Sam is taking good care of her. And how that's the way it was always supposed to be.” he said, his smile slowly falling as he turned to look at his brother almost in sorrow.

“But it's not, not anymore. And that's what I am mostly here to talk about.” Sam said firmly, his back straightening.

Dean looked at his brother with pursed lips as he took a deep breath “Meaning?”

~Three hours Later~

“(Y/n)?” Sam's voice echoed through the house as he opened the door with the keys, carrying the groceries in the other hand.

“(Y/n) we're back!” he said once more, hoping you'd hear him this time. When he got no response he guessed you were upstairs or maybe outside in the garden doing some chore and couldn't hear him.

“Well, hopefully she won't notice we were late now.” he said in a whisped voice to the little girl who giggled at him, running immediately to the kitchen and Sam following closely behind with long strides.

“(Y/n)?” he asked once more, looking through the window but not being able to spot you in the garden.

“That's weird.” he mumbled, shaking his head he set the groceries down “Mary, princess why don't you wait here for a second while daddy goes looking for mommy, yeah?”

“Alright daddy!” she said kindly as she sat down on her chair and started looking through the food to find something to eat.

“Good girl.” he kissed the top of her head as he didn't hesitate a moment and with long strides he made his way upstairs. He couldn't help but feel worried, with the kind of life he had before he died and the things he knew actually existed all kinds of thoughts were running through his mind.

“(Y/n)?” he asked in a still panicked voice as he looked in the bathroom but didn't find you there.

“(Y/n) are you he-” all words got caught in his throat as he swung open the door to your bedroom and he felt his blood run cold when he took in the sight in front of you.

An empty room but not the way he'd expect it to be. It was messy, some things were broken even and the most worrying part of all was the blood that stained the carpet.

Author’s notes : Ahhh ;;; I tried to make it cute and nice. Also I headcanon Komaeda as a trans man so I added that in here. I hope you enjoyed this fic as much as I did. I wrote Hinata mostly because he was so relatable to me lol. Enjoy your gift!

“HINATA! HINATA-NYAAAN!”

His irritating screech left Hinata’s ears numb. He eerily turned his head around, and gave Komaeda a crinkled smile. “What is it now, Komaeda?”

“Call me Nagi!” Komaeda let out a loud giggle. “I’m your precious Nagiiiii!”

Oh god. Hinata turned back, facing the wall and thought how did he get into this situation?

A year after the simulation, old wounds started to heal. As slow and painful the process was, the remnants of despair finally accepted they damaged the world. They started to help rebuild what they had destroyed, and the world almost seemed brighter, more hopeful.

Hinata was the first to awaken, with his flowing hair blocking his vision. God- having long hair was a pain in the ass… Eventually, everyone started to reunite. Kuzuryuu went on his knees when Mahiru awoke, and told her that he wasn’t asking for forgiveness but to apologize. Nidai was quick to forgive Gundham since it was to ensure everyone else’s survival. Even the imposter had someone waiting for him. Hinata didn’t know this person, but the man with sunken eyes and dirty blond hair ran over to the imposter and gave a heartwarming cry. It was a touching moment.

Only Komaeda refused to wake up.

He waited longingly for him to wake up. He didn’t want answers, he just wanted to help Komaeda. Hinata noticed how his smiles were never sincere. How his heart was tainted with corruption. But this time, he won’t steer away from Komaeda. Not again.

Komaeda woke up in a daze, looking around the room with a worried expression. Hinata was called over quickly and helped Komaeda out of his pod without a word. Though Komaeda became mute, and refused to look anyone in the eye nor speak. Hinata was at loss on what to do. But he was stubborn. Hinata slowly inched his way into Komaeda’s life, and the latter accepted him and everyone else into his life one at a time.

Later on, they started to connect with one another and have fun. Komaeda wasn’t afraid of hurting others anymore, and people weren’t afraid of him either. His health made great improvement, and Hinata could see the light shine in his eyes.

Kazuichi had the brilliant idea of taking all the guys out to the bar. While Hinata did drink a couple, he wasn’t nearly as intoxicated as his peers. The man he came to know - Mitarai - was happily dancing around with Hanamura in their drunken stupor. Too many… too many things were happening. Hinata didn’t know which one he should be laughing at.

Hinata stifled his laughter as he saw Kazuichi sobbing on Gundham’s lap, saying he wished that he could play with his hamsters. Kuzuryuu shied away from the chaos, becoming the designated driver for everyone else. Kuzuryuu- always trying to become the sensible one of this group.

He got himself another shot, but decided this would be his last one. Hinata didn’t feel like drinking, and couldn’t be bothered to do it. He shrugged and tipped the cup up to his lips.

“Hiiinerta-kuuuun.”

The slurred voice made him stop abruptly, putting his drink aside as he faced Komaeda. He smiled giddily, and his back kept wobbling on his chair. Hinata quickly grabbed him by his shirt sleeve to keep his posture straight.

Judging by his aloof expression, Komaeda was drunk. Hinata chuckled. “How many drinks did you have, Komaeda?”

“I haaaaaadth aboout fiveth! That was my fiveth drink!” Komaeda held up his robotic hand up to Hinata’s face. He tilted his head. “Is that baaaaad?”

“Komaeda….” Hinata patted his back softly. “It’ll be okay.” He just remembered that Komaeda will have to deal with a throbbing migraine in the morning.

“Mmm-?” Before Hinata could say anything else, Komaeda lifted his hand and petted Hinata’s hair. He looked surprised, through his flushed face and glassy eyes. “Is… why is your hair not stabbing me?” Komaeda then slid both of his hands on the brown mat. Hinata tried his best not to laugh or say anything because Komaeda was never the type of person to be so… touchy-feely.

“Ah. I suppose you wanted my hair to kill you?” Hinata asked. He closed his eyes, “I’m sorry to disappoint you Komaeda. My hair can’t kill anyone.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

Komaeda pouted before looking back at his drink. He reached for it, but Hinata quickly shooed his hand away from the glass. Hinata shook his head. “I can’t have you drinking so much, you’ll start turning into them.” He pointed his thumb towards Kazuichi, who pulled out his boxers and started whipping it around his head. All the other drunkards stared at him in awe and clapped so eagerly. Hinata felt so embarrassed for the guy.

“You need to stay with me for tonight.” He told Komaeda. “By the way, have you ever been drunk before?”

“I dunno… have you been drunk, Hinata-nyan?”

He felt his eyes pop out of his head and inched closer to Komaeda with a curious intent. “What?”

“Hinata-nyan!” Komaeda curled up lips up into a cat-like smile. “Nya?”

Now Hinata realized, this conversation with Komaeda was the best choice he ever made in his life.

Hinata couldn’t stop laughing, and he banged his fists on the table. He guessed his uncontrollable laughter was from the bit of alcohol he consumed earlier. Not as much as Komaeda or Kazuichi though. He’ll die before becoming like them when drunk.

“Hinata-nyan you shouldn’t be so-” Komaeda lifted his curled up fists towards his face with wide, innocent eyes. “-ruff on me!”

He chuckled. “Are you a dog or cat person?”

“A doge is my style. You’re like a cat, Hinata-nyan. Serious, aloof, and teases the doge.” Komaeda babbled on, with a bubbly smile on his face. Hinata had no idea Komaeda knew what memes were, but now he did. “Hey, hey! I heard opposites attract. Won’t we be perfect for each other?”

“Wouldn’t, you mean?” Hinata corrected. Komaeda blew a sheepish raspberry.

“Yes, yes. I mean it so dearly, my sweet pussy.”

Hinata felt himself choke on air- air for gods sake. “… Don’t say that to me ever again.”

Komaeda giggled. “Puss-”

Hinata covered his mouth quickly. “No.” He was rather amused at how close Komaeda and him were becoming. It warmed his heart when Komaeda rambled about the silliest of things. Not when he talks of suicide and despair though.

While Hinata was having the time of his life, Kuzuryuu was not. Only half an hour later he shooed all his friends out of the night club and had to deal with everyone’s state. Hinata prayed for Kuzuryuu’s well-being.

“Oi, Hinata.” Kuzuryuu went up to them. “Watch over Komaeda before he does anything stupid.”

“What?” Hinata looked at Kuzuryuu with wide eyes. “You can’t be serious. Why me?”

“Why wouldn’t it be you? Everyone here besides me and you are too drunk to function. I’ll push these idiots onto a bus and make sure they get home safely. But I want you to take care of Komaeda, okay? Or do you want all these jackasses on your hands?”

“Nope- I mean I don’t. But why only Komaeda?” He asked.

“You get along with him the best, and he’s not the most emotionally stable person. I figure he needs someone by his side when he wakes up.” Kuzuryuu said. He glanced back at Hinata’s snickering face. “Oh can it, will ya? I’m not doing this for him, I’m doing it for you. It’s about time your gay ass gets laid. But not now, because you should never do that without someone’s clear consent. If you have sex with a drunk Komaeda, I’ll beat your gay-fucking-ass to the ground.”

“W-WHAT?” Hinata yelps. “Why would you assume tha-”

“Oh look, the bus is here.” Kuzuryuu ignores him, looking at the vehicle. “I guess we all got to be leaving now. See you later, Hinata-nyan.” With that, Kuzuryuu pushed all of his former classmates into the bus. Hinata was a bit tipsy, but not that dumb to see Kuzuryuu give him a quick wink before leaving. Hinata and Komaeda were left behind and frankly, Hinata was too tired to even be embarrassed.

This led to Hinata carrying Komaeda all the way to his cosy apartment, and hearing his idiotic spews out of his mouth.

He chuckled as he glanced over at Komaeda, who was pushing off his covers so childishly. Hinata left the kitchen and petted his hair. Komaeda nuzzled into his hand and why the hell was Komaeda so cute?

“You have to go to sleep.”

“But it’s too hot in hereee!” Komaeda whined, tugging at his blankets. His faint blush over his cheeks and half-lidded eyes stopped Hinata in his tracks. His heavy heaves of breaths were so unbearably noticeable in the room, and his shirt skid down exposing his porcelain like skin. His visible collarbone made Hinata gulp and think what the hell is making him look so hot? The room thickened with the growing physical tension. This was the first time Hinata saw Komaeda so… desirable.

Hinata threw the blanket over him quickly and sighed. “Komaeda, please sleep.” The other lifted the blanket off his head and pouted. “If you don’t sleep, I’ll record this.

"Record me! Record me!” He cheered. Hinata took out his phone and started recording because how could he miss this opportunity?

“What is your name?” He asked.

Komaeda raised his hand up. “Nagito- Naoki Ko!”

“Okay, clearly delusional. Are you drunk off your ass?”

“Yes!”

“Well then,” Hinata leaned forward to put his forehead close to Komaeda’s. “Oh shi- you’re heating up.” He shouldn’t be humoring Komaeda so much in his vulnerable state. He had to take care of him at least. He put his nursing abilities to good use as he filled a bowl with cold water and drenched a rolled up towel in it. He went back to Komaeda, who began to breath heavily from the heat. Hinata kneeled down and gently placed the cold towel onto his forehead, brushing the bits of hair in the way.

“I’ll go get some Advil for that hangover headache when you’re sober.” Hinata turned around but stopped when he heard Komaeda groan.

“Hajime… shut up.” Komaeda huffed, turning over.

“… What?” Hinata whipped his head towards the man. His back was still faced to him. It was surprising that Komaeda would even dare say his first name. It was almost taboo since he treated Hinata with some sort of respect. He knew it was because his mind was not in the right place, but Hinata couldn’t help but blush and cover his mouth with his hand.

Then, he put his hand down and chuckled softly. “… Why should I?” Hinata cast his eyes toward the ground and twiddled his fingers together. “You’re so silly- Naoki-san.”

“… That’s my old name.” Komaeda mumbled. “You of all people- you should know…”

He slurred his words out, but it was audible to Hinata’s ears. He suddenly remembered looking at Komaeda’s medical files. The kanji of Naoki flashed in his head, and the sex on the paper saying F for female. In the simulation, he took care of Komaeda and found a sports bra laying around the room. He remembered the curves from his body while he was in the hospital gown, and how Komaeda always wore baggy clothing. He won’t ever forget that Komaeda’s first words were ‘I lied to you. I’m sorry for not being a real male’.

“Komaeda… you’re Nagito. You always will be.” Hinata said. The newfound confidence suddenly rushed through his veins. He stood tall as Komaeda rolled over slightly to see Hinata’s stern expression. “N-nagito…” He didn’t look away, so Komaeda could clearly see the faint blush on his cheeks.

“Adorable…” He muttered. “Must I… must I say that I love you?”

Hinata couldn’t take it anymore, he was so embarrassed. He snapped his head towards the dresser and started to spew out random words. “U-um you aren’t really- you aren’t serious and I know- I defiantly know you’re lying. You’re lying! Liar, liar, liar! Stop messing with me- what are you saying you drunkard?!”

“Hinataaaa… do you remember… the time I confessed to you?” Hinata went quiet and looked back at Komaeda, who had the same wistful expression as himself.

Komaeda gripped the bed sheets tighter, Hinata noted. “I-i still feel that way… Hajime is my hope.” He let out a cheery grin as Hinata went closer to him. Hinata held out his hand, and petted Komaeda’s hair softly. Komaeda approved, and nuzzled against his hand with a small purr. “Y-you stayed when everyone left… even if it was pity… I admire that about you.”

“So that’s what you mean when you’re in love with my hope?”

“No Hajime I- I love you just because…”

He didn’t get to finish as he knocked out quickly with a dopey smile on his face. Hinata sat on the bed for a moment to collect himself. Then, he smiled so endearingly at Komaeda.

“I like you too. More than I should though,” He took his hand off Komaeda’s fluffy bed hair and went for his mechanical hand. He lifted it and gave it a quick kiss. “But I’ll wait for you to admit it again.”

Komaeda woke up and found himself sprawled over an unfamiliar bed. He turned around and found no one there. He then found Advil, a glass of water, and a note on the nightstand beside him.

He finished taking the meds and drinking the water to stop his pounding headache. He took the note from the stand and read from it carefully.

Nagito,

I left because Naegi wanted me for something important. I have some leftovers you can microwave in the fridge so don’t you dare try and cook something in my kitchen. Kuzuryuu wanted me to take care of you because he cares about your health and safety. But don’t tell him I had to leave in the morning. I swear I’ll come back! But Naegi was so persistent that I had to go.

Also- always remember that everyone is here for you and not just me. Everyone cares about you, they’re all your hope too. Even if I might be something more… we’ll talk about this later.

Zombie Apocalypse Carolson fics, with Sav

A barren landscape seemed to be all a zombie apocalypse had to offer. Nothing more than that, and the occasional death threat in the form of a zombie, anyways. Morality seemed to be around every corner, waiting to strike like a tiger cornering prey. On days like these, much like any other day, supplies where needed. A humble child group of six, determined to live through this event to tell about it, would send out two runners every week, to gather food and resources. It would switch oftenly, to accommodate any diseases or injuries the runners may have gotten during their scavenge. This week, a male and female were sent out to scour; a thirteen year old, with silky brown pigtails referred to as Carol, and a twelve year old, with silken gold hair whose name was Wilson. Runners were always paired with their crushes, as one would protect the other with their life. In this case, anyways, it was true. The two children had already mapped out a few locations where supplies might have been, to minimize their time spent in the hellhole that was the outside world. Extending their map in front of them, Carol dragged a lazy finger over the circled locations.

“So Wilson… Where should we head…?” She mused to her partner, dragging out the longer syllable in a mixture of boredom and concentration, and flipping her weapon, a burnt pan, in her other hand aimlessly. The justice child poked his head over the other’s shoulder, taking a glance at the map.

“Mmmm, how aboout… Here?” He asked, prodding the tiny image of a supermarket with his finger, gaining a neutral grunt of approval from the female in reply. Most of the fresh foods in the location had gone pretty stale, but things like cans of soup and dried foods were perfect for the kind of situation them and their friends were in, not to mention the supply was extremely plentiful. The location selected wasn’t too far of a walk, at least compared to other places, which took from a range of thirty minutes to maybe an hour or more. From the exterior, the store looked almost okay. Despite the fact that the lights flickered feebly, and the windows were nearly blackened with dirt, anyways. Pried open by a crowbar was the broken automatic door, it’s opening only wide enough for one person at a time. The two fallen children stared at each other, in silent argument on who would go in first.

“Uhm… Ladies first?” Wilson stated, in only a questioning way, taking a small step backwards, gaining a chuckle from the teen in reply.

“No, I’m pretty sure it’s youngest first, and besides, you’re the one with the gun.” Carol responded, tilting the southerner’s hat over his eyes, in a playful-ish way. Sighing in silent defeat and straightening his headwear, Wilson twirled his gun from his holster, equipping it, and squeezing through the tiny gap through the doors. Once in the building, he glanced to his left, and to his right, as if about to cross a street, before turning to Carol, giving a double thumbs up with a dorkish smile. The kindness child chuckled, returning the two gestures, approaching the door to follow him through. Before she even made it, however, the younger child was tackled out of frame by a blur of green and red, accompanied by a frightened male yelp. Fight or flight senses beginning to take over, Carol almost ran. Almost. She couldn’t, not when someone was in danger, something within them wouldn’t allow it. Panting heavily, with a solid swipe the glass door shattered to the power of the frying pan, and the human wasted no time in stepping into the store. Wilson meanwhile, had been pinned to the ground by a much smaller zombie, who aggressively thrived and snapped at the child. With another swift strike of cast iron, the undead creature was thrown off to the side, landing on the flood with a hard thud, unmoving. The boy whimpered, clutching a spot on his arm where teeth had sunk into his flesh, marking the child. Their rush of fear and anger beginning to die away, Carol quickly crouched down to their injured partner, shaking him slightly, attempting to get him to stand.

“W-Wilson? O-oh god… C-come on, Wils, stand up…” In response, the pre-teen just shook his head, painfully.

“T-they… Bit me Carol… I-it bit me r-real bad….” Tears of pain reflected heavily in his emerald green eyes, pooling at the bottom and slowly beginning to trickle downwards, tracing the outline of his face.

“N-no, come on… C-come on stand up, you’re… Y-you’ll be, okay…” Denial was often Carol’s way of shielding herself from the harsh realities of problems in this world, and Wilson knew this perfectly well. She would need to listen to him, understand him.

“Carol…!” Though his words were quiet, they were commanding, almost painful sounding, “Listen… W-when… When I turn… Y-…. You’re going to have to take my gun a-and shoot me, o-okay…?”

“N-no!” It was of very rare instance for Carol to ever shout, they normally would never have the heart to under normal circumstances. But this wasn’t normal circumstances. They repeated it again, quieter,

“No… I can’t… I won’t kill you… You can… I’ll-” “There’s nothing t-that you can do…” Wilson cut them off, in a cough, small droplets of blood decorating the floor as he did so, “J-just… Just take it, Care…” He pushed the gun towards her.

“Take it, and promise me that I won’t ever h-hurt you… O-or anyone w-when I t-turn…” For a moment there was slight silence. Before a shaky hand reached out, and took hold of the weapon, holding it gently, like a bomb that would go off at any moment. Slowly, silently, they repositioned their hand, aiming the gun towards the child. Seconds crawled to years, as she shakily responded,

“I promise.”

She turned her head away from him, as the southerner smiled in relief for the last time.

A Box Chocolate

Happy Valentine’s Day, my dears! I hope you enjoy today :D (For anyone who cares aboout my personal life: I’m back home since about 4 days and still tired, haha ~)

Trying to balance the number of bags all at once yasu pushed the door open by shoving his shoulder against it.

Surely it wasn't the most elegant way to do it, and not the most effective one, either, since he bumped into the person standing on the other side of it immediately.

“Fuck”, he swore and dropped at least three boxes of chocolate.

“Yasu!”, a surprised voice exclaimed and a wide, familiar smile appeared behind another pile of boxes. “What are you doing here?”

With great effort yasu managed to get down to his knees and pick up the dropped chocolates without losing another one. He was pretty proud on his acrobatic display and almost expected ka-yu to applaud.

Unfortunately he had to realize that it was impossible for him to do so, since he was holding just as many bags as yasu himself. Probably even more so.

“The same as you, obviously. Picking up some of the valentine's chocolate the fans sent. I left most of it for the staff, but they still made me take so much of it.”

He let go of a small laugh, that felt nervous for some reason.

Lately he didn't spend a lot of time with ka-yu and whenever he met him he desperately wanted it to go right. Sometimes he missed him in his life.

“That's not what I meant”, ka-yu furrowed his brow slightly, but he was still smiling.

He seemed happy whenever they met and yasu was glad he was doing so well. Sometimes he hoped he missed him in his life, too, though.

“I was wondering why you don't spend the day with someone special. Surely there is someone?”

Although it was just a statement he made it sound like a question. Something about the way he said it was off.

“Nah, forever alone, you know the tragic story of my love life: I fell for music and she made me her bitch.”

Ka-yu laughed warmly at that. His face wrinkled up and his eyes looked very kind. Yasu was surprised he wasn't spending the day with someone special. He was adorable.

“So, fancy going for a coffee with me, if you're free anyway? Maybe you'll feel less lonely then”, he suggested.

For a moment yasu hesitated. It sounded very tempting. He hadn't had a proper talk with ka-yu for far too long and being all alone on Valentine's was a little depressing, even if he didn't like to admit it.

“What if someone sees us together?”, he asked nonetheless. “I'm not too keen on any kind of gossip. Or squealing fans on the street, for the matter.”

With a smirk ka-yu shrugged.

“Don't worry, I know the perfect place to go. So, can I give you a ride?”

Nodding in agreement yasu followed his former bassist outside where he had parked his car close to the company building.

Handing over his chocolates he watched ka-yu place them in the trunk, before he got into the car besides him.

He had always liked the car. It smelled a little like ka-yu and he enjoyed the way the tattooed knuckles tightened around the steering wheel.

In another life – where music didn't come first – he might have been very attracted to his friend.

Curiously the dark haired one shot him a fast glance from the side, before fixing his eyes on the road in front of them again.

“You look pretty good”, he observed. “I was worried you'd be pushing yourself too hard with the new release and all.”

“I'm good”, yasu shook his head and looked out the rear window.

The city flew by fast and he liked the feeling of moving forward. He had always liked that feeling.

“Where are you taking me, though? It looks familiar.”

Turning his gaze back to ka-yu he could see him smirk slightly.

“We're almost there”, was the only thing he gave away, before pulling into a driveway.

Yasu blinked at the house they had parked in front of.

“But that's your place!”, he laughed in surprise, getting out of the car anyway.

Walking to open the trunk again ka-yu performed a small bow and grinned:

“Best service in town, I assure you.”

Shaking his head in amusement yasu helped him carry all the bags filled with sweets over to the front door, following him inside.

He knew ka-yu's place quite well. Not as well as he used to, though, he remembered with a little pang of sadness.

“Feel at home”, his friend welcomed him and led him into the living room.

He gestured for him to sit down on the couch, while he placed all the boxes on the coffee table in front of it. The table was so small that some of the chocolates fell down over the edges, but none of them bothered to pick them up again. There was no space left to put them anyway.

“Now, what would the gentleman like to drink?”, ka-yu wanted to know in a mocking tone of voice.

“Coffee would be great, thank you”, yasu smiled up to him.

Ka-yu turned around and he watched him disappear into the kitchen. He was wearing a pair of pretty skinny jeans and he couldn't help notice the nice curve of his butt. Again, he wondered why there was no one else around, wanting to spend the day with the bassist.

After a moment he returned with two steaming cups, handing one over to yasu.

It felt hot against his fingers, but he held on to it closely nonetheless.

Ka-yu sat down next to him and for a moment they just stared at the piles of chocolates looming over them.

“I'm not even finished with the ones I got for my birthday. Are you?”, yasu sighed.

He almost flinched when ka-yu gave a loud laugh in return.

“You bet”, he replied and as he turned his head yasu could see him grin widely. “You're talking to the master of sweets. I'll be finished with those in no time as well. I basically have chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And all the snacks in between.”

The seriousness with which he had given this statement made yasu chuckle.

“I nearly forgot”, he admitted. “But I won't manage that.”

With slight disapproval ka-yu shook his head and took a sip from his coffee.

“Weak, yasu, weak”, he scolded. “We'll have to work on that.”

Sipping from his coffee as well, yasu pulled one of his legs up onto the couch to make himself more comfortable.

“So...it's Valentine's Day...what do we do?”, he started, not sure what he wanted to imply himself.

Ka-yu looked at him as if he were completely out of his mind.

“Why! We eat chocolates until we both feel sick and afterwards we watch bad TV shows that no one but you would ever think are funny!”, he exclaimed passionately and grabbed for the first box of chocolates.

Yasu couldn't help but smile at that premise. He hadn't been aware of how scared he had been to be alone today.

So he took up one of the nicely wrapped up chocolates as well, marvelling at how much trouble fans went through to send these.

“It's so nice of them”, he mumbled more to himself, but got a sound of agreement from ka-yu nevertheless.

Looking up to him he could see that the first streaks of chocolate were already smeared across the corner of his mouth.

For a very weird moment he wanted to lean in and lick them away.

He wondered if it had been easier back then, or if he had just forgotten how hard it actually was to cover it up.

Hastily he turned his head and started to munch down on the chocolates as well.

It tasted good, but he could never feel quite the happiness that shone on ka-yu's face whenever sweets of any kind were involved.

He chewed slowly and without haste, mixing the taste inside his mouth with small gulps of coffee. He enjoyed the feeling of melting chocolate on his tongue and he enjoyed ka-yu chatting away next to him. He sounded happy and he had almost forgotten how happy he made him feel as well.

“God, those were delicious!”, he pointed out, finishing the last piece from a light blue box.

“What were they?”, ka-yu asked curiously, reaching over to read the small paper attached to the box.

He stared at his name and then glared at yasu threateningly.

“Hey, did you just eat some of MY chocolates?”, he inquired and yasu grinned apologetic.

“Ooops?”, he offered.

“You didn't even let me try them, although obviously they were delicious!”, ka-yu carried on, but it sounded like he was making fun of him.

Sheepishly yasu looked down on the empty box again. Although his friend seemed to be joking he felt the need to apologize still.

“Sorry”, he murmured. “I forgot to check. Now it's too late.”

“Nah...”, ka-yu disagreed. “I'd still like to try.”

Confused yasu raised his eyes again, only to find ka-yu's lips really close to his all of a sudden.

Without further warning he kissed him and out of reflex he closed his eyes.

They had kissed before, mostly on stage, but it had been so long ago that he had nearly forgotten how soft his lips felt.

Against the light pressure he felt a bold tongue sneak forward, licking over his lower lip.

It made him shudder lightly all over, but before he could really start to enjoy it, ka-yu pulled back again.

Opening his eyes again yasu blinked at him in a state of shock.

In a very casual manner as if nothing weird had just happened, ka-yu smacked his lips and stated:

“Mmh, delicious indeed.”

Then he went back to placing another piece of chocolate in his mouth, not even looking at yasu in such a careless manner that it did not feel like he was avoiding his eyes either.

For a moment longer yasu just stared at him. And then it hit him.

Shuffling closer he placed his head against his friend's shoulder, again closing his eyes with a very quiet sigh.

“How did you know I wouldn't spend the day with anyone else?”, he wanted to know in a small voice.

The room was so silent that he could hear ka-yu chew and swallow without hurry.

“The office called me when you came to pick up the chocolates”, he explained and yasu could hear him rustle with some paper wrapping, probably picking another piece up from a box.

“Thank you”, he admitted and smiled slightly.

On his lips he could still taste chocolate and ka-yu.

“I really didn't want to spend the day alone.”

Against him the bassist shifted his position, until he felt an arm wrap around him and another soft kiss being placed on his hairline.

“I know”, ka-yu whispered gently. “I always know.”

Gone

1 month. Only 1 month had passed since my heart had been truly broken. Sure, I’ve had other boyfriends, but not any as quite as amazing as Shawn. Distance and different timze zones were putting strains on our relationship. The facetime calls stopped, and text messages were on a standstill. You know it was almost inevitable that we would break up, but I didn’t want to believe it. Shawn was living his dream and I couldn’t hold him back. He rang to tell me that the relationship was unhealthy, and he couldn’t hurt me any longer as he loved me too much. Of course, I put up a fight and remained together, but it only got worse. I started to think that maybe Shawn was adding new dates to escape me.

But then it finally happened.

Shawn texted me explaining that he met someone on his management team and that he was really sorry. I was truly heartbroken. I wouldn’t talk to anyone for days.

But today is my first radio interview in forever, as i’m releasing my new single “Always and forever” , something Shawn use to always say to me.

After typical L.A traffic, I am finally escorted to the room i would be doing the interview in with Ryan Seacrest.

As soon as we get in, Ryan is eager to start, so keen on getting the latest gossip. But truth be told, I have none. Unless eating ice cream on the couch for a month counts as ‘gossip’.

“Y/N! How’s things? It’s been ages since we’ve last had you here!” Ryan says a bit too enthustiastically, as it is only 9 o’clock in the morning.

“Hey, Ry. I’m good you know, enjoying life.” I say lying through my teeth. “And I know! The last time i was here was when i was 17, like a year ago!”

“Crazy how fast time flies. So the new single is amazing, smashing it as always. It’s quite obvious the song is about Shawn, what did he say about it?”

“I actually haven’t spoken to Shawn for a few weeks. I’m sure he’d be supportive of it because anything I did he would always be there, supporting me.” I say reminiscing about the memories we had with one another.

“Do you mind me asking aboout why you two broke up?”

My publicist gives me a look to say you don’t have to answer that, but I wave her off.

“Um..you know, different time zones, different futures, different goals. A lot of different. Don’t get me wrong i love Shawn and i wouldn’t change what we had for the world”.

“But if you loved him, wouldn’t you still be together and wouldn’t you have fought for him harder, instead of letting him go off with another woman?” I get very agitated by this, like how does he have the audacity to say that i didn’t fight hard enough for Shawn?

“Well i take a bit of offence to that” I say awkwardly - “because i fought very hard for Shawn, thank you very much. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and think whether the hurt you’re going through for fighting for someone is actually worth it. I got so hurt. Seeing Shawn with another woman emotionally hurt me, in the end it just isn’t worth it” Which is true. You couldn’t bare to see Shawn with someone who wasn’t you, so when you did, it crushed you like a tonne of bricks.

“So your saying Shawn wasn’t worth it?”

“I’m not saying that at all. Look, I don’t know who you think you are, but you have no right telling me about my own relationships. You don’t know what goes on behind the scenes and therefore have no right to judge.” I say before i storm out of the room, very angered by Ryan’s comments.

I bump into someone and I could recognise that smell from a mile away. I look up and Shawn’s beautiful eyes meet my own. He awkwardly looks up.

“Y/N..hi”

“Hi Shawn. Did you hear any of that?” I say worried that he heard me first hand confessing my hurt he caused, knowing that it would upset him to hear that.

“Yeah, Y/N I am so sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I still love you.”

“But what about the girl from your management team”

“I thought i could replace you with someone who i knew would be around me every day, but it didn’t work. No one can replace you Y/N, i don’t care how far apart we are. I need you”

“I need some air” I say running out the building, and before Shawn can turn around, I am gone.

My boss graciously offered to find group insurance for all of her employees and she is willing to pay 50% of the premiums. The problem is that she went with the most expensive plan on the market (that I've seen) and I simply can't afford it. The premium is $340 a month, so I'd be paying $170 which isn't bad...but the copays are at least +20% on everything and doctor visits range from $35 to $55 a visit, so I wouldn't be able to afford to use my health coverage often. It also doesn't include dental, which is what I really wanted/needed. I am 21 years old (and all of my coworkers are in their 20s), so I don't really understand why the payments are so high. So, Im broke and I know its a really awful idea to drive without car insurance, but Im a little unclear about what the rules actually are.
