I feel like the Doctor assuming he/him pronouns for the Meep really works to highlight how the Doctor doesn't fully understand gender I think, and how the Doctor is more agender.

It's like, the Doctor mostly seems to use whatever pronouns people assign them after regenerating, based on how other people see them. It's normally portrayed as something the Doctor has to consciously remember and keep up with, not something that's actually a part of them.

And in that light, it makes sense to just assume pronouns for the Meep, because that's basically how it works, right? That's how everyone's always treated the Doctor.

Of course, when it's brought up, the Doctor asks the Meep about pronouns, and the Meep says that the Meep's pronouns are always the Meep.

And the Doctor's like, "Yeah! Me too!" but then mostly people don't actually like, pick up on that and take the cue to ask the Doctor anything about pronouns, because the Meep looks clearly alien and androgynous to humans, but the Doctor doesn't.

And the Doctor is used to just going along with whatever, so they don't bother to bring it up explicitly, but I do feel like there's a connection there.

The Doctor assumes the Meep uses he/him pronouns because that's mostly what people assume the Doctor uses, and because the Doctor is used to people doing that to them, they assume that's just What's Done.

But it doesn't have to be, and the Doctor does ask the Meep about pronouns, and maybe someday someone will ask the Doctor.

HI YES the noniad my best friend the noniad! it is in dactylic enneameter! which as it is used in harrow means every line has nine feet, and each foot can be either a dactyl (— u u) or a spondee (— —), except for the last two in each line which are always — u u | — x (— is a stressed syllable, u is unstressed, and x can be either).

e.g.

I am the | Emperor's | Hand; do | not thou per|sist in this | combat; | matchless am | I with the | long blade—

— u u | — u u | — — | — u u | — u u | — — | — u u | — u u | — —

there is also Often (but not always. but definitely enough that i noticed it) a diaeresis (word ending coinciding with foot ending) after the sixth foot which is. very funny to me. because dactylic enneameter is Not A Thing That Anyone Really Writes In Ever, but dactylic hexameter is the metre of greek and latin epic poetry and tamsyn muir and classics We Know About This. so the sixth foot diaereses + a noticeable number of lines having spondees in the sixth foot means that those lines read like lines of dactylic hexameter with like. an extra bit tagged on at the end. to me. but maybe i have just read too much dactylic hexameter idk

serious question, are there ANY (wired) headsets made today anymore that have seperated plugs for audio and microphone??

usb ones always cause trouble and the only other ones i can find are those with combined audio+mic into one plug, which i dont have the ports on my PC for.............

i tried looking through adapters but the only ones i can find are those that combine seperate ones, id need the reverse (if thats even possible)

(visualization bc i feel like i am losing my sanity trying to explain what i mean, am i stupid? did i halluzinate the two jack/plug thing???? do only cheap garbage ones have this??? is that one of the gaming chair things??? like oh you want a GAMING headset- that means either combined or usb haHA???)

Update

Hey guys I didnt mean to disappear the way I did this month, but especially in the more recent weeks. I've been in an UNBEARABLE amount of pain with migraines almost every day for over a week and I may very well have a sinus infection (': Like I WAS diagnosed with chronic sinusitis last year iirc but this is unbearable. My throat hurts, my teeth hurt, my face hurts, I can't breathe out my nose. I feel miserable tbh.

Another reason for absence and being so slow on work is because I came really close to calling the cops on my mother in the middle of a fight not too long ago. I'm certain it would've gotten physical if Popo hadn't walked through the front door when he did. Thankfully things DIDN'T get physical, but I'm still very shaken up about it. I'm in no danger, but I'm getting around to making an official post for my [GoFundMe] that's been successfully published now. That was the last straw I just cannot handle how my cats and I are treated. It's seriously affected my workflow for far too long.

Anyway I could really use some positivity and distraction. I missed this place and I missed you guys, home life has just been.. a lot. And I'm exhausted.

so. the line of tape. it's existence makes me lose my marbles to no end, but probably not in the way you'd expect. it's the fact that even with this clear divide they STILL spill over into the others space. i've see a lot of people talk about it as if it's this clear divide in the lab that hermann and newt steer clear from but that just isnt the case!

if it was, you'd expect the lab to look something like this layout

but look at the actual movie

it looks like more akin to something like this

newt's samples, tables, and stands for his dissection tools spill over the line right into hermann's space. there's definitely room on his side of the lab for everything, he's just. spread out across the entire lab instead. AND it seems like this is what the lab usually looks like, hermann only makes to point out the entrails on his side and not the rest of newts things, it's a shared space— not a divided one. what i'm saying is that even though hermann makes a big deal out of his side of the lab versus newts side vis-à-vis the intestines, he definitely doesn't care that much about separating himself from newt OR his space from newts space in general. the way i see it, they argue and bicker a lot but ultimately they find comfort in the others presence, hermann just doesn't want to deal with potentially-hazardous kaiju intestines right by his things ^^;

most spop fans noticed this but the "beep boop bop beep" when Nimona breaks Ballister out being a reference to Adora in the episode White Out
