Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Requested by: None
Genre: Angst
Proofread: Nope
Music: Kingdom Dance from Tangled
Warnings: Reader having a nightmare, Tommy talking about therapy, Sam mention
Summary: Tommy brings himself around more often. He's a good kid and you don't mind having him around. He brings out the good side of you that you thought you lost after your second life. You owe Tommy a lot.
Author's Note: A Tommy-centric chapter! I wanted to work on the reader's relationship with Tommy since they're both younger siblings compared to Technoblade and Wilbur. It's obvious the two are close and Tommy trusts them a lot. I wanted to convey that more. I'm sure its obvious who hurt the reader but I like not saying it by name :)

Tommy slept over that night. He cuddled up next to you with a cup of tea while you read a book out loud. You had a guest room available but Tommy refused to use it. Through awkward sentences and stumbled words, he confided in you that he was afraid of being alone. You didn't hesitate to allow him in your bed, making space for your lanky brother. Going to sleep was easier than usual. Having Tommy there reminded you that yes, you were alive. You were living and breathing. He grounded you in a way that you weren't used to. As you drifted off to sleep, you found yourself deep into a memory you wished to forget forever.
It was windy and cold, unforgiving weather you could never quite get used to. You shivered, not dressed for the weather. You were in the freezing cold to assist your brother. You had heard about the execution that was planned and couldn't just stand and watch. You needed to help him. You shivered and trudged on. A figure was there in the snow with an axe in hand. Were you too late? You ran, not even bothering with the snow. There your big brother stood in all of his glory. You sighed with relief and pushed your hair out of your face. "I was so worried." You began to explain what the plans were and how you were going to help him.
"How do I know you're here to actually help." You froze, confused. "W-Why would I lie to you?" The cold was starting to get to you again. "I would never betray you; family." How dare he assume you would do such a thing. "I can't trust anybody associated with the government. Especially you and Tommy." What the fuck. "This has nothing to do with Tommy. Why would I go out of my way and freeze my ass off and come all the way out of here to lie? Have I ever lied to you? Just because I live in L'Manburg does not mean I don't care about you." The axe shifted in his hand ever so slightly.
"Phil already warned me. He sent some of chat over. I think I can take care of myself thank you very much." You rolled your eyes. He was always stubborn. "Besides," The axe was raised to your neck. You felt yourself shake but you weren't sure if it was because of the cold or fear. "I need to set an example." It all happened so fast. You weren't sure if he did it because the two of you were siblings or because you were the only L'Manbugian in the area. Your head flew off of your body, landing close by. Your body fell to its side, leaking out blood. You were found like that before you finally respawned in your house with a fresh new scar on your neck.
You woke up with a jolt. As you looked around to ground yourself, you noticed Tommy. You ran your fingers through his hair and tried your best to calm your breathing. The last thing you wanted to do was wake up Tommy. He couldn't see you like this. He was still so small and fragile in your mind. You slowly rose from your bed and grabbed a throw-on cardigan you had for situations like this. You quietly walked to the kitchen and turned on your stove. You placed the old beaten-up kettle you had owned since what felt like forever on the burner and grabbed a mug.
It was an old mug that was used time and time again whenever you felt like shit. It was something that helped you feel better, even if it was just a little bit. While you were in your own little world, Tommy had awoken. Surprisingly, it wasn't because of you missing. It was because he was cold. You heard the pitter-pattering of feet and quickly turned around. Tommy slowly walked up to you, wrapped in a blanket. "What are you doing up?" He asked, yawning. You poured the warm water into the cup and sighed. "I just couldn't sleep. Weird dreams." Tommy nodded and grabbed a mug and carefully inspected your tea options. "I get those too." He said, grabbing a tea bag and gently plopping it into the mug. You poured the water into it and went to the window seat in your living room.
Tommy followed you and sat on the opposite side. There was a beat of silence before you spoke up. "I have nightmares." You muttered before taking a sip of your tea. You felt extremely vulnerable but it was Tommy. You always found yourself telling him the truth. It was the least you could do for him. After you heard what the twins put him through, you knew you had to be honest. "When you were....gone..from L'Manburg, tensions were high. Whenever I wasn't visiting you, I was running around trying to help Tubbo and the cabinet as much as possible." Tommy looked at you with big blue eyes, bringing you back to your childhood. You would read whatever book he brought to you in the living room.
He would go through Techno's books and pull out whatever looked interesting to him. Every night, you would read to him. You took a deep breath and continued your story. "I tried to help. I really did. I wanted to make sure that he was okay. But...he thought I was one of them. It all happened so fast." You found yourself struggling to finish your thought. The burning sensation of the axe digging into your skin made you shudder. Tommy nodded and put his drink down. "I go to this thing called therapy. Sam talked me into it. He said he thought it would be a good idea to talk about what I went through and...get help I guess." You watched as Tommy picked at his nails. You grabbed his hands and let him play with your fingers as he continued.
"It's...nice, yeah nice. I like being able to talk about stuff without feeling like I did something wrong. I feel...comfortable there. I think you should go." You nodded your head and looked out the window. The sun was slowly rising. "I'll look into it. You should head back to bed, it's almost morning." Tommy turned to the window and sighed. "Okay." He squeezed your hands and took his cup of tea to bed. You finished your now cold tea and sighed. Maybe it was time to get your shit together. You had a family gathering to go to after all.
