Masterlist
Tumblr media
Last Updated: 07/07/21
Thank you guys so much for all the love that you’re giving my writings. It makes me so happy to know that they’re people who enjoy reading things I write. I will be definitely adding to this masterlist, so this is not all you’ll get from me ;) - Hamida
♥ - indicates fluff
✪ - indicates smut
☹ - indicates angst
Bundle Of Love ♥
Harry reflecting upon his love for Y/N.
Despite the fact that you’ve only been dating for a couple of months, he still knew you better than he knew himself. Every stir and every little sound you made in your sleep. To everyone before him they were just stirs and sounds, but for him they had a meaning. He never lets them slip without noticing. He watches your every move carefully to make sure that he makes you the happiest he possibly can and even if that is the case, he still does everything possible to make sure you’re even happier.
Call Me H ✪ ♥
You both walk straight to Harry’s hotel room because you can’t keep hands off of each other anymore. (Is a logical continuation to Stay With Me, but can be read separately.)
“You’re very sweet, Harry. There is just one problem.”
Your eyes become a bottomless well and Harry feels himself drowning in its waters. The curiosity grows in him when he hears mystery in the way the words leave your mouth.
“What problem?” He whispers innocently, his eyes darting at you.
“I really want to fuck you.”
City Lights ♥
Harry asks you a very important question as you drive through the streets of Rome.
The hand wrapped around your side, carefully going in circles, the repeating motions slowly soothing your anxiety.
Harry lowered his head and his lips touched the top of your ears. The warm breath created vibrations against your skin and sent a charge of electricity through your body.
I really love you.
Daddy ✪
Harry wins a Grammy. You weren’t able to be there. Or were you?
“Aren’t you coming in?” Harry asked Jeff as he exited the car, his hand wrapped under his new Grammy.
“I’m not. Enjoy the night, man. You deserve it.” Jeff spoke weirdly as he closed the door behind Harry and waved at him with a suspicious smile on his face.
“Enjoy my night? Don’t you want to come in and drink with me a bit befo-” Harry spoke as he watched the car with Jeff in it drive off.
Egocentric ♥ ☹
Memories of a fight with Harry overflow you, as you wander around the house and end up playing Fine Line on vinyl.
As the first few seconds of the song echoed through the room, I found myself being dragged into a different atmosphere. The one my mental state wouldn’t let me go in without crying.
All of the insecurities and doubts, that I have been overflown with, came over me and dragged me down with them.
Fireflies ♥
Harry has been acting weird for a couple of weeks, but when y/n finally finds out the truth, it’s far from what she assumed.
“Harry, what’s behind your back?” You asked straightforwardly.
He looked uncomfortable and seemed to have been taken aback by your question.
“It’s um-” He brought his hands forward. They held a black folder visibly full of papers. “It’s m’folder with song ideas.” He seemed unsure of the statement himself, but you put the blame on the fact, that he was left dumbfounded by your actions. What was that about though?
Flower Field ♥
Harry accidentally breaks his favorite guitar, which makes it an obvious choice of a present for his upcoming birthday.
“Is it small enough for me to carry it around?” Harry tried his best to guess what exactly you were getting him. He’d been like this since the early morning when you wouldn’t tell him what you’ve gotten for him.
“It’s not small, but you can carry it around.” It was the first question, for which your answer wasn’t exactly a “no”, so Harry smiled, thinking he’s finally onto something. The party took place in a closed down restaurant that you all would go to once in a while. There weren’t many guests. Just the closest friends. “Knowing Harry, it’s probably hundreds of people.” You thought.
Full Of You ✪
It’s your birthday and Harry has an idea of a birthday present.
Your thoughts were interrupted by Harry’s hold tightening around your body and his face snuggling into the crook of your neck. You whined, fighting for a couple more well-earned minutes of sleep.
“Nopies, bunny. Don’t whine at me. We have a long day ahead of us.” Harry excitedly informs you and lets his hands snake over your sides. Your boyfriend moves his mouth over to your ear and whispers this time. “It’s my love’s birthday today.”
Gucci Jumpsuit ♥
Harry pampering Y/N despite her attempts to stop him.
“They have the heels you love. The black ones, you know? They have those in pastel colours. Wouldn’t y’love that?”
“Harr-” I tried to say something in between his Ted Talk on why exactly I have to try those shoes he is talking about.
“And we could look for jeans f’you. You wanted wide leg jeans, remember?” He continued, without pausing even for a second.
Heat ✪
Your boi’s too vanilla for your liking. He refuted that tho.
As he filled you, even more tears started flowing. Your vision turned blurry and your head felt light. All you could feel was the stretch you craved so badly.
“Daddy, please fuck me.” Words leaving your mouth without a single thought in your head. You didn’t care that you’ve never got to ask him if he was actually into such things before, acting purely on instinct. All you wanted was to be filled. All you needed was the sensation of being penetrated by the man you loved.
Love On Tour ♥ ✪
Your parents are coming to meet him but you chose to keep it a secret.
“He deserves to know.” You thought. He was going to meet them today anyways. “He won’t have time to get too nervous, right?” You kept debating on whether or not you should tell him the truth.
Your brows furrowed and your lips were pressed tight together. Harry took a look down at you, and his brows creased as well.
My Princess ✪
You tag along with Harry to his Vogue shoot. The dress is definitely a turn on.
“Ah, please,” Harry whined, letting you wrap your arm around his waist holding him from running away from your wet tongue.
“Please what, baby?” You teased him further, running your nails against the wet trace along his spine.
“Please, touch me.” He begged, pushing his back against your chest in hopes that your arm would move a little lower and touch his crotch even though he knew how much you hated it when he wasn’t patient.
Rainbow Cardigan ♥ ✪
Harry loses his favorite cardigan. You learn how to knit. (Based on the JW Anderson cardigan knitting trend.)
“I cannot lose it. I can’t. What if it’s lost forever? How could I let it out of my sight?” The sight of him so genuinely saddened by the situation made you let out a sigh. You were full of compassion and understanding, trying to remember the last time you saw the poor cardigan. Failing to do so, you turned to your crushed boyfriend and tried to get information out of him.
Right Choice ✪
Harry has a moustache now and you want to get it sticky.
“I’m all for it, so it’s up to you.” Harry nodded and started applying the shaving cream onto his cheeks.
“Just know that you have to eat me out whenever you’re done here because I’m dripping.”
Shattered Glass ☹
You feel overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts and memories of traumatic events. Glass is shattered.
“Hm?” You let your eyes fall on his gentle and almost all-knowing expression.
“I said I know what you’re doing. You’re letting things get to you. I know you can’t stop the flow of thoughts but at least let me know what’s bothering you so I can try to help.” He spoke softly and chose every next word with care as he knew that if he picked the wrong words you would close off even more.
Stay With Me ♥
You meet Harry and fall in love to the art and architecture of Rome.
“You looked very passionate and I would love it if we could sit and discuss it maybe? I know it sounds weird coming from a stranger-” He paused.
“You bet, crazy man.” You thought to yourself and giggled softly, realizing that the possibility that this ball of nerves is a human trafficker is close to zero.
Vegan Cupcakes ☹
You and Harry have been quarantined together and he needs space.
Spending most of the spring together didn’t feel as suffocating for Harry as summer did. Your classes were over and you didn’t take a summer semester, so your time fully revolved around him. Which he liked.
In the beginning.
Until you clung on him like a koala for days and made him cuddle you all the time, which he enjoyed a lot until it became a routine. Harry couldn’t even tell you how he felt because it would hurt your feelings, so he didn’t say anything at all, keeping it all to himself.
Wooden Floor ☹ ♥
Reuniting with Harry after being apart during the quarantine made you realize something.
When I met Harry, and we started dating, I promised myself to give him space and not suffocate him with my love, for I was scared, that he would leave me like everyone before him did.
I had never been loved so much. I had never experienced what I gave people myself. The endless love and loyalty. Harry gave me his all, and I started feeling bad for not showing all of the love I had for him, and yet I still feared losing him because of my obsessive nature.
I sat at the kitchen table and scrolled through our texts with Harry.

TOILET PAPER
Owen Joyner Imagine
(ITS A LONG ONE BUT ITS DEFINITELY SMUTTY)
Y/n has been dating Owen for a little over a month, and he’s invited her over for the first night in his new, empty apartment.
3700 Words
Warnings: Contains Smut (18+), language
Hope you enjoy!
****************************
Tumblr media
Oklahoma City is nothing like LA, I don’t know what possessed Owen to buy a place here when his parents' house is 25 minutes away. Most of his time is spent in LA anyway, but he’s Owen and he wants home to be Oklahoma.
We haven’t been together long but it was nice that he invited me over for the first night in his apartment, sitting on the floor unpacking the last few boxes with some trashy tv on and drinks. What could be better? It’s always nice to just be with him - no matter how boring we are.
As I jumped into my too-tight jeans and put on the button-up crop top I planned to wear, I was a little nervous for tonight. He’s taking a huge step in life, and I’m stuck. My acting career isn’t taking off, college is sucking the life out of me, and I hate my job. Now wasn’t the time to worry about my life though, so I put a little makeup on and turned the music up.
Owen picked me up around 6pm and we stopped to grab burgers for dinner. Eventually, we started making the drive through the city to his apartment. It was so weird knowing that when he’s going home now he’s going home to an empty place. He could do whatever he wanted now, he was finally free. Girls could come and go and no one would know. Girls who are not me could come and go...not that I think he would ever do that. Owen is well known though. He could have any girl he wanted, so I’m sure the temptation has been there. Especially since I won’t put out, not yet. We talked about it and I just have to feel like the moment is right. It’s a big deal for a girl to have sex for the first time.
The apartment is so nice. It somehow feels warm and industrial at the same time. All the paintings he ordered are resting on the wall by the big window, and his tv is of course set up already. Owen takes me by the hand and leads me to his room, abandoning our food on the living room floor.
“Cute. A mattress on the floor, O” I snickered.
“Shut the hell up. I ordered my bed too late and it won't be here for another three days. My mom made me take the mattress from my room at home until it’s here since I wanted to move out now.”
“In a hurry to get out?”
“You have no idea…” he smirked. “Let’s eat. I’m starving.”
“Owen, you better get used to starving because you still can’t cook.”
“Maybe one day you can teach me.”
***********************
Burgers were great as usual, and we put The Music Man on at Owen’s request. He must have just tossed things from his house into random boxes on his way out. I started unpacking and found two hats, a drum pad, hangers, dress pants, and salt and pepper shakers.
I started roasting him for his packing skills and before I knew it he was using the pile of hats as a weapon and was attacking me with them.
“I HAVE NO WEAPONS THIS IS UNFAIR!”
“FIND SOMETHING OR SURRENDER!”
“Never lover boy. You’re going down,” and with that, I found a wooden spoon and started whacking the hats away and eventually swatting him with it.
“I tap out. I TAP OUT!” he yelled in between laughs. I was pinned underneath him on the hardwood floor still playfully hitting him on the butt with my weapon of choice.
“Ha! You’re no match for me.”
“I think I can win in other ways..” he said, lowering his lips to mine.
I slowly put my arms around his neck and pulled him to lay on top of me. As I was running my hands from the back of his neck down his shoulders, he slid his leg up ever so slightly in between mine. He had gotten so strong in quarantine, not that he wasn’t before, but I could tell he was working out more to keep himself busy. I wasn’t complaining about it though. It felt nice to be held in strong arms.
It felt like we were making out on the floor for hours and we finally came up for some air. It was getting hard laying on the hardwood with this 5’10 blonde on top of me, but I knew he wouldn’t make a move because of our conversation a few weeks ago about me not being ready. That could change now.
“O, since you don’t have a couch yet...can we like to switch or something? You’re cute and all but the floor isn’t.”
“I think my floor is sexy,” he whispered. “Wanna go to my room?”
“Lead the way..”
We were hardly up off the floor before Owen picked me up and carried me to his room and tossed me on the bed. This time our kiss was different. My hands wandered up and down the sides of his body as his tongue traced the depths of my mouth. I returned his edginess by running my hands under his shirt and pressing him closer to me. My hands came around the front to feel the edges of his bare chest and waist. Ungluing my mouth from his for a moment for a gasp of air, I tugged his shirt up.
“You sure?”
“Mmhmm. Take the damn shirt off.”
“Yes, ma’am.” He removed the shirt in one quick motion and I propped myself up on my elbows to get a good view. As he tossed the shirt off to the side we both were sitting up and I was grazing my hands over his arms.
“Enjoying the view?” he asked.
Instead of responding, I inched forward and kissed right above his waistband and traveled all the way up to his lips leaving kisses as I went. He let out a strangled breath as I made the journey and stopped me before I planted my last kiss on his lips.
“You’re gonna have to calm down a little if you don’t want me to have a situation to take care of…”
“Who said I didn’t want to help you take care of it…” His eyes were looking down at me and straight through me.
“I was- Y/n, you don’t have to - I was just kidding,” he said running his hands through his hair and looking away from me.
I had to prove that I was okay with taking things up a notch, so I grabbed his hips and started massaging him over his pants. Owen grabbed my face and kissed me, sucking all the air out of me as I kept kneading his hips and thighs. Slowly my hand moved to palm his dick through his pants.
I could feel his chest tense up and he sat up a little straighter.
“I think it’s time I lose some clothing too.. What do you think?”
Before even answering he was reaching for the buttons on the front of my shirt.
He was struggling with so many buttons. I knew they were too small for him to get so I stopped what I was doing and had to pull the shirt over my head.
Owen immediately told me I was gorgeous and I could tell he was trying to look me in the eyes versus at my boobs.
“You can touch me, ya know..” I whispered, almost as if I was scared of someone hearing me, but no one would. We were finally alone. It was just us at this moment. No thought of parents or siblings coming home. No worry about roommates hearing, or puppies crying from outside the door to kill the mood. This was it. I was ready. Tonight, I am going to christen this apartment with him.
Owen’s hands were shaking ever so slightly as he rubbed my arms and made his way to my chest. He placed a kiss right where my cleavage met and I could’ve died. His hands were huge and looking at my breasts in them made me worry that he had seen bigger.
He was kissing my collarbones and tracing every inch of exposed skin with his tongue. He slowly laid me down and said, “You’re perfect. This is perfect. We can stop, just tell me-” His voice was so low and raspy, but I cut him off with a kiss before he could keep talking.
Owen continued licking and petting my boobs, so I decided to be daring. I was dragging my fingers down his abs when I hit the little trail that led into his pants. Instead of reversing my course like I did before, this time my hand wandered lower into his boxers.
Gently, my hand explored the warm skin and curly hair before grabbing hold of his dick and giving it a squeeze.
“Woah,” he grunted, “Can't do that, you’re gonna kill me.”
“I’m still winning then, see?” I said teasingly.
“Do you trust me?”
“Yeah, O. Why?”
“Let me try something. Tell me to stop if you need me to.” He said planting a kiss on my lips after I nodded.
He readjusted himself in his pants and then started attending to me. Sliding my bra straps off my shoulders he lifted me up and reached behind me to unhook it. My breath caught in my throat when I felt the clasp fall open. He pulled it away and I reacted by covering myself up.
“It’s just me. Are you ok?”
“Yeah, just go slow.” Now I was shaking. I want this, but I’m still scared.
“I won’t do anything without asking.” He’s being such a gentleman and I was the one teasing him first.
He pulled my arms down and took a nipple in his mouth. He twirled his tongue around and sucked while playing with the other. My stomach was flopping around and the feeling of butterflies was traveling down between my legs. Owen started giving my other nipple attention with his mouth as his hand traveled down my torso.
His hand stopped when he hit the button of my jeans and just started playing with it. He looked up at me with his green eyes asking if he should keep going.
I took his hand and shoved it into my pants. He was definitely surprised but he found the top of my folds while still staying over my thong.
“Babe, your jeans are too tight my hand is losing circulation in there.” He said pulling his hand out.
“I can fix that,” and off my pants went.
Now we were both doing this dance in our underwear of making out and dipping our fingers into uncharted territory.
Owen suddenly pulled me to the edge of his bed and was kneeling on the floor, nudging my legs open.
“What are you-“
“You still trust me right?”
“Owen, I-
“Do you want me to stop?”
“...No. But I haven’t done anything yet-“
“Let me keep going then you can help me with my… situation,” he smirked. “Close your eyes. Relax.”
I did as I was told and felt Owen reach for the elastic waistband of my thong and pull it down. Oh my god. My cunt was throbbing at this point. I was dying for him to touch me again, but he was teasing me.
His hands started massaging my feet and up my calves and legs. He got to my thighs and kept his hands low. Then I felt him lay next to me on the bed as his lips met mine and his hands rubbed my stomach and fingers inched back down to my cunt.
His dick was pressed against the outside of my body and I could tell he was rock solid. How he was still in his pants, I will never know.
“Y/n, do you want me to stop?” I shook my head no and his finger gently parted my folds. I was holding his shoulder so tight, partly because of nerves and partly because I had never felt this way before.
“Have you touched yourself before? Like we talked about...” He whispered as his finger slid past my clit agonizingly slow.
“Yes,” I gasped, “just a few times.”
“What do you think about?”
I couldn’t answer him. My mind was racing and my heart was beating too fast.
“What do you think about when you touch yourself, y/n?” This time he asked through gritted teeth.
“You...I think about you…”
“Show me how you did it”
“No!” He took his hand out from between my legs, grabbed my hand, and led it down my body to the place he just left.
“Show me.” Owen sat up and slid back to the floor to watch what I was doing.
I lightly dipped one finger down to my vagina and back up to my nub. I started alternating between rubbing circles around my clit and the opening of my vagina. My legs were still moderately closed so Owen wasn’t happy with his view.
He pushed my knees apart and now my pink folds were on display.
“Keep your eyes closed, y/n.”
Owen used one hand to spread my lips wide open and the other to trace my wetness up to my clit. With his thumb, he applied pressure and moved in circles painfully slowly over my most sensitive spot.
Soon his hand left my clit and started poking my entrance ever so slightly. The next thing I knew, his tongue was on my clit picking up the pace and his finger was two knuckles deep inside me.
His tongue was working even faster now and I was so wet I could feel it dripping down to my ass cheeks.
Suddenly, there was a lot of pressure down there and I opened my eyes to see him two fingers deep in my pussy and his nose hurried in my folds. I was panting and he was giggling at the noises I was making because of him.
His hand never stopped moving but he looked up at me and said, “You’re unbelievably tight. Have you touched yourself like this?”
Truth be told, nothing had ever been inside me until now. Not even a tampon. I never had a reason to use one.
Inside of me, his fingers curled and hit a spot that made me jump.
“You still good?” He asked, stopping everything.
“Don’t stop,” I panted, “please, faster...harder.” I was squirming now with his hand stationary inside me.
“What exactly do you want me to do for you?”
“Keep touching me god, Owen. Lick me again.”
With that, he was pumping his fingers harder and faster than ever and his tongue was flicking my clit. I started feeling like I was hyperventilating and like I was going to pee. The butterflies and pressure building inside of me were intense but the moans coming out of my mouth told Owen he was doing a great job.
“Owen, I’m gonna pee! O, I’m gonna-“ He took his mouth away and replaced it with his hands to watch me finish for the first time. He continued to pump his two fingers and started rolling my clit between his thumb and index finger with his other hand. I was lifting my hips to meet his hand and he was trying to push me back down to the bed. My whole body was starting to spasm and I was a little scared. I was losing control of my body and had no idea what was happening. His hands were like magic. Owen spread my legs even wider and continued his rhythm. His fingers curled into me even further and it sent shockwaves through my body and I was lost in a frenzy. To his surprise and mine, I squirted all over his hands. He didn’t stop pumping and circling my clit until I was squeezing my legs together and pushing his hands away. Owen kissed me as I came down from my high and I caught my breath.
“Oh my god. Owen, I’m so sorry. I- I didn’t know I would pee. Oh my god.”
“Babe, you didn’t pee. That’s just what happens when you get off really well. It’s all good; no worries.”
“I never felt that way before. I felt like I never wanted you to stop but I also felt like I was exploding”
“Well, I don’t have to stop,” he said laughing and fake spreading my knees again.
“Hey, lover boy it’s your turn,” I said pushing him to the bed now.
“Wait, you don’t have-“ I was too quick. I already had his pants down by his knees and was fighting to get them off. After some help from Owen, and him removing his boxers, we were both completely naked together for the first time. He was much bigger than I anticipated with my hand down his pants. That was not going to fit inside me. There was just no way. He could barely get two fingers in me.
I looked him up and down and was taking it all in when he just blurted out, “Take a picture. It’ll last longer.”
“Maybe next time, blondie,” I said as I traced through his neatly trimmed hair and all the way down his length to his tip. He closed his eyes and shivered, so I stuck the tip in my mouth.
His eyes opened and bulged out of his head at the sudden sucking I was doing. My tongue swirled around his most sensitive part as my hands played with him at the base and his balls.
Owen tucked my hair behind my ear as I looked up at him. I slid more of his member into my mouth taking almost all of it without gagging. As I slid back to the tip, I let my teeth drag just a bit.
“Jesus Christ, y/n. You gotta go easy on me or I won’t last long.”
With a pop, I released him from my mouth and his dick was flushed and the veins were purple. Twitching as I slowly pumped it with my hands, his dick was releasing a tiny bit of clear liquid. I used my hands to spread it all over him which made my job even easier.
I had an idea, so now it was his turn to trust me.
“O, help me. I need you inside me.”
“Are you sure?” He was breathing heavy and I knew he didn’t want to stop, but would if I asked him to. I wanted this though.
“Yes. Tell me what to do.”
“No, let me take care of you.”
He flipped us over and began rubbing me again while kissing my neck.
“I love you. You know that?” Owen said in between kisses.
“I love you too.”
“Let me just- fuck!”
“What? What’s wrong?” I was startled by how mad he suddenly got.
“I don’t have anything. We can’t.”
“I have an IUD. It’s ok.”
“You wanna- No. Let me go run and see if I have something in my wallet. It’s your first time I don’t want you to worry.”
“Owen, I want to feel all of you since it’s my first time,” I said reaching down and grabbing his dick and lining it up with my heat.
“Babe, it might hurt. I’m so sorry, I’ll stop if you need me to.”
“Just do it, I’ll be ok.” With that, he pushed himself right up to my entrance and I already could tell this wasn’t going to work.
“It’s not gonna fit, Owen. Oh god.”
“Hey, relax. I know you’re nervous but it really won’t fit if you’re not relaxed.” He laughed.
“I’m gonna kiss you as I go in, okay? You can still tell me to stop.”
He went in for the kiss and slowly pushed the tip inside me. It was uncomfortable but bearable.
“It’s going to get worse before it gets better, I think. I’m going to keep going.” He was holding his breath at this point as he slid about three inches further inside of me. He didn’t want to rush me but he wanted to fuck my brains out at the same time.
He hit something inside of me and I yelled.
“Ah! Stop! Wait!”
“Okay, Okay. Do you want me to stay or pull out?”
“Stay, stay...okay. Just do it fast.”
He pressed his forehead to mine and broke the barrier. I grit my teeth and cursed, and tried to close my legs. He held me close and wiped a tear as it escaped. We didn’t move for a solid minute as I waited for my vagina to get used to his size.
“Move. You can move.” I whispered.
He gave a little grunt in response and started pumping in and out of me slowly.
After a few minutes of Owen going painfully slow, he lifted my knees up higher and started going faster. I grabbed his butt and started pressing him into me.
“Harder. Please.”
He listened and started pounding me. I didn’t know anything could feel this good.
“Babe, I’m close.” He panted.
“I think I am too.” At that point, he picked up the pace again. Now I was bucking my hips up to meet his thrusts. I could feel him throbbing inside of me trying to hold back. I clenched my muscles a little and heard him let out a high pitched little yell.
I pulled his chain and we were pressed chest to chest, covered in sweat, and fucking like bunnies.
“Do you want me to pull out?”
“No!”
“Then I won’t last much longer,” he slid a hand between us and started rubbing my clit as fast as he was pounding me.
“Me neither.” I spread my legs wider and he finally hit the spot.
My walls tightened and as soon as they did I felt him release inside of me. His moans were intoxicating and I came undone.
“O, O, I’m cumming. Don’t stop.”
He did a few more hard strokes and we both were too sensitive to keep going.
Owen pulled out after a few minutes and I missed him inside me. We were naked, facing each other after being as close as two people could be.
“Thank you for that,” I said.
“Glad to be of service,” he joked.
“I’m gonna go grab things to clean up. Be right back.”
“Mm ‘kay,” I responded, almost drifting to sleep.
“Fuck me.” I heard Owen say from the bathroom.
“What’s wrong, hun?”
“I forgot to buy toilet paper..”
“Guess that means we both need a shower..”

episode 209 spoilers below
I'm so late today but here it is
I love EJ, he's finally learning to be happy. I'm so proud.
Ms Jenn = every boomer during zoom calls, like jeez yes we can hear you stop shouting at me.
LOVE THE SUBTLE JOKE ABOUT QUARANTINE "these dark times" "you mean spring break?"
ah yes, remember when we thought covid was just gonna give us a longer spring break? good times
SEBLOS
damn the passive aggressiveness from Carlos and the absolutely over it tone from seb✋
CASWELL COUSINS!!!!! THEY'RE THE BEST!!!!
we needed more if this kind of goofiness for the first part of season 2 that only such an iconic duo can provide.
old old movies-
is it even that old, or is Nini being a gen alpha rn-
i choose to imagine EJ being scared of the movie and hiding in Ashlyn's shoulder while she keeps a straight face and then EJ pretending to be tough afterwards
aww redlyn are soulmates.... yknow, if gingers had souls
(please ignore me)
y'all saw how EJ's face *lit up* when Gina logged on? how dare you tell me he doesn't like her
ofc she's no damsel in distress, she's Gina porter, she's amazing.
so do we think she'd be the type to just glare at suspicious people? or bark at them
do they not know that Rini broke up? or is Ms Jenn just wanting Nini to suffer through her heartbreak to make her a better actress....
speaking of, why is Nini in the call? she's not in the show anymore. Unless she is, even after the rose and the song got cut, which would be so unfair to all those that auditioned properly before she even came back but whatever, she's the main character I get it 🙄
big red is a hero honestly, Nini better thank him for changing the subject like that
I can't-
i won't work you over the break-
this woman would 100% work her kids 24/7 if it was legal and idk how to feel about it.
YES GINA USE THAT CHARM
QUEEN
FRENCH QUEEN
SHE LEARNT FROM THE BEST (antoine obvi)
smh the airport lady, eavesdropping on Gina's call.
The way she was so happy to answer EJ's call, "eej"
I love them your honour.
EJ WITH PAINTED NAILS YES PLEASE
great now we need to see Gina, Ashlyn and EJ having a complete spa day and EJ getting really into it and Gina and Ashlyn take pictures of him when he's laying down in a robe with a mask and cucumbers on his eyes.
finally we get to see Gina's side of portwell
the way she considered it as flirting, this is the sign she asked for in episode 6 come onnnnn
no is Asher/jack really doing tiktok dances in an airport-
Ricky is me. I am burrito.
oh Lynne, sweetie, I'm sorry but the blonde hair is not it
is that even the same lady or-
THE BEAN
THE CHICAGO BEAN
THE BIG OLD METAL BEAN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY 😭
jetlag is my go to excuse for anything... I haven't travelled in 2 years.
"welcome to the Lynne and Mike gossip show. where we talk about our depressed son that we both neglect in certain ways! And now a word from our sponsor, Nord VPN..."
SO MANY CANDLES
WHAT DEMON IS LYNNE TRYING TO SUMMON IN HIS ROOM-
is Nina becoming social media obsessed EJ from season 1? AND SHE LIED ABOUT HAVING SONGS TOO PLEASE WHY ARW THEY RECYCLING THE SAME PLOT-
Gina smiling at the picture of her family on Instagram makes me so happy, idek why.
EJ's nails are so pretty, we needed to see it more (unless he had it on for the rest of the episode and I just.... didn't notice🧍🏽‍♀️)
oh not the tiktok kid✋
yes ma'am end this strange mans whole tiktok career
sir take a hint and leave
GINA NO DONT SAY YOUR LAST NAME HE COULD BE A HUMAN TRAFFICKER
Ricky, walking in style✨
weird kid, ok then Lynne, can't you see he's this close to the edge?
not all your fault baby Ricky, Nini sucks a bit more
RICKY YOU DIDN'T COME DOWN HARD ON THE SONG-
YOU ASKED WHAT IT WAS ABOUT AND SHE SHUT YOU DOWN-
PLEASE DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF
ok but the deleting comment thing was very bad
still don't know if I like Jack honestly
hmmm so Nini's calling herself Nini instead of Nina in her little egg seat, while trying to write a song without inspiration.... Nini, honey, Ricky was your muse, he inspired you to write all those songs, even if it wasn't good for the relationship.
that doesn't mean you gotta get back with him, or that you can't write a song that not about him butttt it'll take some time
the rainbow sticker in her box and her rainbow shirt-
anyways wbk she's not totally straight
Jack are you a criminal?
quick, Gina, check his ankle for a tracker
THE YES AND PRACTICE STRIKES AGAIN
the way Gina wasn't into it in episode 6 but she's used the technique twice now
stole her grandma's Pomeranian-
Jack where the hell did you pull that out from-
the fake crying killed me, that looks like so much fun though
anyone wanna raid a first class lounge with me?
wait so is jack not gonna go in with her?
wouldn't he go in too? help look for the credit card? SO CONFUSED
the first class lounge guy was so into the drama though, watch his face when they start arguing 😭
sorry to break this to you Kourtney, but you haven't even blocked the second act yet soooo...
take that as you will
I love how all of them are totally dissing the dance off
that's the most realistic part of this show tbh
shouldn't Nini have asked how she knew....since the start? why is the fact that her best friend has knowledge of a North high secret now dawning on her...
Howie is sweet honestly, at least he's trying to help. but I stand with Kourtney, don't take him back just because he sang an amazing song, and is giving you a heads up on what's gonna happen...
KOURTNEY IS ME TRYING TO LEAVE AN ONLINE CLASS
I hate school
ooo Nini's writing a song about bad internet connection 🤩🤩🤩
I never lie, except when I do-
son that is the creepiest thing you could say to a stranger that you've been "helping"
2 truths and a lie👀
he's an Ariana fan 100%
called it.
OLDER BROTHER-
WHAT-
free spirit? damn so brother porter was in that horse movie
so has she been kissed or not?????????
I feel like she's moved more than 15 times though so possibly
but then if she's moved so much, and before east high she never opened up to anyone, she's never been kissed then?? damn
same though Gina so let's be besties please
heartbreak president is a great song title idea, give Nini a call rn
but wait
is the no strings attached feeling thing about her telling Ricky she liked him? she thought she was moving away so she thought it'd be no strings attached???
guys I think I figured it out insert the "I've connected two dots" meme
THE DUKE SWEATSHIRT
IS THAT YOUR BOYFRIEND'S
OMG I LOVE I LOVE
NOT THAT I KNOW OF???
ma'am did you just kill me
yes you did
Lynne and Ricky have such a weird relationship
YES IT DID SUCK
TODD SUCKS
LYNNE SUCKS
yeah I get that you wanted Ricky to like Todd BUT THAT WASN'T THE TIME
right so we already know that Ricky was so desperate to keep Nini cuz he didn't want to be like his parents, and now Lynne's talking about this-
Richard needs a long hug
yes Lynne, it is your fault. thank you for finally admitting it.
YES DYE YOUR HAIR
BLOND HIGHLIGHTS RICKY WILL RISE AGAIN
"sometimes the best, last thing you can do for someone you love, is let them go."
gotta admit I teared up at that point
not me thinking big red was calling ms Jenn cupcake for a hot second-
Carlos please omg, you're at the "beach" and they're leaving for the pool?
also, why not just do the call from the hotel room please omg
"don't ask me"
"Carlos"
OMG WHAT HAPPENED
big red wants the tea
O M G
SEB IS JEALOUS
JEALOUS SEBBY IS MY FAVOURITE THING IDC
I'm surprised ms Jenn knew how to give Nini permission to screenshare tbh
So lily's been stalking the East high kids and spending time editing this video while she's supposedly in an immersion trip.... right
EJ and Ashlyn's picture is so chaotic, what even is happening there
"slacking off" bestie its spring break, obviously they're confident enough that they'll get it done in time so why not focus on your own musical.
jealous seb = sassy seb
please what if those guys Carlos is posing with are his cousins or something and that's why he's so confused about Seb
6 YEAR OLD EJ I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM
Nini saying she's obsessed with her ex, that's not weird at all 👍
I can just tell Matt had a blast harassing Julia with those puppets.
Jack please dont be like that, "yet"
chances are you'll never see eachother again 🥰
(honestly sometimes I really miss those friends I made on trips and stuff when we'd spend the day or week together, only to never see them again....those were the good days though)
Ashlyn and Nini should write more songs..... something better than this one at least
Nini: "im good"
cue the Tia Mowry (please I can't spell) crying gif
oh I forgot Ricky was in the show for a hot second
1. where did Gina get to film this without people being around
2. did she just... randomly change her clothes???
ok but the transition between Carlos and EJ
*chefs kiss*
now everyone shut up, EJ's singing
oh i think I'm pregnant
HIS MUSCLES
YES KOURTNEY
I love how big red and Kourtney went from being "the best friends™" to the couple in season 1, to kinda close themselves and having their own plots
sebby makes me so happy
props to biggies editing skills honestly
PORTWELL BEING SIDE TO SIDE I CANT
AND SEBLOS OMG
big red lives for the drama
"wow" so true Ricky
no he is not cute, stop it
"holding" ok that's kinda cute
yeah EJ's a lucky guy😌
jokes aside, it's not that hard to exchange numbers-
keep in touch if you want
ok I really like Jack now
if he comes back in season 3, maybe have him be LGBTQ+ ?
like the only out characters they have rn are Seb and Carlos and they're like the sterotypes, yk?
I'd love to see jack kinda break the mold
Ricky's breaking my heart
that song just hurts
the only thing
now I don't hate Lynne????????
HOW DARE THEY WRITE IN A PROPER REDEMPTION ARC FOR HER
UGH IM SUPPOSED TO HATE HER FOREVER
I mean I don't live her now but she's good
but honestly
"mom can I show you something"
IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL
THE PICTURE AND EVERYTHING OMG
I'm sobbing please help
Gina saying she's just waiting for the right guy and then EJ coming to the airport to pick her up late at night without her asking, offering to bring her back in the morning so she won't have to Uber, bringing her a granola bar (WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE FORGOT TO PACK) and without expecting anything in return???
ms ma'am you've got a keeper right there
her smile at the end was so heartwarming I really can't.
this episode was great.
it felt really short but I liked it, great character development for Ricky, Lynne and Gina.
Cant wait for next episode to see more of EJ being the ideal boyfriend /hj

part 1 | part 2
Tumblr media
You could hear some familiar voices on the background as you began to regain conciseness, voices you could identify anywhere. You kept your eye shut for a while, feeling the tiredness and dizziness your body was screaming at you despite the fact that you have been unconscious, and on the floor apparently. Even though you're head was still too slow to think straight, you noticed that your face mask wasn't on you anymore.
“Who is she?” you heard the familiar voice of Shamar, or Morgan, given the circumstances.
“Apparently she knows me.” that was Spencer’s turn to speak.
“I met her this morning.” JJ states, you could only imagine the faces they would be making at her, wondering how and why. “I bumped into her walking on the street, she seemed pretty confused but yet she still knew who I was.”
“Well, that’s weird.” Emily said.
When you finally decided to open them, you felt like you were still dream. Once again you found yourself asking what was going on. Why was the whole cast of Criminal Minds standing there simple staring at you and why were they acting like their characters? Out of the two explanations that came to your mind at the moment, only one made any sense. I was a tv prank, it could only be. There would be no other logical reason to it, other wise.
“Are you ok?” Hotch asks, offering a hand.
You stared at him trying to figure out what to say, but without saying a word you took his hands and got up. The whole team was looking at you, with weird expressions. You felt almost like you were an unsub, you hated being stared.
“Yes, I mean, no!” you say. “Is this a prank of something? Because, damn, you guys went too far down with it. Fuck!” you say, finally snapping.
“I’m afraid I don't know what you are talking about.” Rossi said.
You tried not to but as soon as you realized you already had a big sarcastic expression on your face. How wouldn't they? They were tv stars and they were clearly acting, you've seen it.
“Oh, you're not?” you said, as sarcastic as you could be. “Ok, let me enlighten you all, since you ‘don’t know what i’m talking about?’. I woke up in this freaking random apartment by myself wearing the exact same thing I was wearing the night before.”
“...and where is the part we fit in there?” he replies.
You ignored him, sighing and trying to push your anxiety down.
“As I was saying, I was wearing the exact same thing and I was in Bellevue, in Washington state. I have no idea who decided to pull this off but as much as I love the show, I am not enjoying this.” you say, looking around trying to find cameras.
They all kept staring at you, Rossi was the only one who didn't seem worried about, it was like he thought you were on drugs or just delusional. You were even starting to believe in that. JJ and Spencer kept staring at each other, possibly trying to figure out what was going on, and how you knew them.
“You believe you were abducted, then?” Hotch finally says something.
You sigh again, trying to be patience. All you wanted was to go home, when you said you wanted to meet the cast - all the hundreds of times you said it, you didn’t mean this. You closed your eyes, because suddenly all you wanted to do was cry. You couldn't count how many times you imagined this happening and it was being just awful. You hated being confused, lost and being pictured as crazy.
“No, Agent Hotchner” you spilled his name, sarcastically. “I am sure.”
He looked at you without much expression - as usual, but you could tell he was superseded you knew him, just as much as the team. Morgan step forward, walking towards you. You stared at him, trying to remain calm.
“Listen, we can't help you if you don't let us.” he said. “Can you tell us your name?”
God, don't they realize this is funny? I do not wanna be acting, some pictures would do the job just as fine.
“Y/N Y/L/N” you say as you watch Rossi give Garcia a look making her nod and direct herself to her ‘cave’, certainly to search you up.
“Alright, you have someone we can contact with?” JJ asks.
You nodded, yes you did. But they wouldn't pick up the phone, as you tried multiple times this morning on the old cellphone. What if something happened to them? This was all so confusing.
“But she won’t pick up the phone, I tried.” you said.
Once again, you caught yourself wondering what was going on. And that was the moment you kind of got what was happening. Would it be possible that you shifted to this universe? Maybe this wasn't all a prank and your wish had just became true. You probably should've thought about it before asking for it. At once it hit you, what you said to your friend just last night.
“What is something you would want to do right now?” your best friend asked you, leaning a bit towards you, laughing drunkly.
“Um, I’d really like to be in Criminal Minds right now.” you say laughing as you best friend rolled her eyes. “No, listen! I’d love to meet Spencer Reid and I don't know, it just sounds better than quarantine.”
“Yeah, sure, because serial killers are just not bad at all, huh?” she laughed.
Maybe this was true, maybe you did shifted. And if you did, you sure sounded like a crazy person, and probably a stalker. You looked around trying to figure out if you could sit somewhere, it all became took much for you mind at that moment.
“Can I sit... Can I sit somewhere?” you asked, probably looking as ill as you sounded.
You watched as Reid rushed to bring the chair. You set down trying to figure out how you'd leave there, and how you'd shift back. Staring at them you felt your heart warm a little, you dreamed about this for so long - as it was all it was, a dream, until now, at least.
Before you could say a word you watched Penelope come back and whisper in Rossi’s ear, probably what she found out about you. Which, maybe was everything, since you had no reasons to hide a thing about your life, which was quite boring, in fact.
“Who are you?” Rossi says, like he’s ready to arrest you.
“I-I already told you.” you answer. “I’m Y/N.”
If you needed any proof about what was going on that was it. It was like you did not even exist, like you weren't real. She probably didn’t find anything because you’re not from this universe.
“Alright. What can we do for you, Y/N?” Morgan asks.
“I need to go home.” you let it out. “I don't know how I ended up here in Quantico.”
Garcia stares ate you, almost like she felt pity about your situation while the rest of them kept a suspicious look at you. It’s not like you blame them, anyways, you would think it’s weird for somebody to come out of nowhere knowing your name and claiming to be pranked.
While you were sitting there, with all those eyes at you, you thought that maybe giving up and trying to figure it all out by yourself maybe would be better. How would they help you, anyways? It is not like they could send you back. And it is also not like you didn't actually wish for this.
There are some wishes that are entirely rhetorical.
“You know what? I’m good.” you fake a smile, obviously. “I’m just gonna go.”
You stoop up fast, not giving them much time to contest you. Spencer looked confused, more than any of the others, for some reason. Maybe he was just curious on how you knew him, or JJ. Either way, you wouldn't know.
Hotch looked at you, wondering your action. Why were you so desperate at one time and tried to pull off as if it was ok? It was definitely not ok. Your smile looked fake, your body seemed tense and your eyes looked as lost as he could think someone could be, as he has seen a lot of lost eyes.
“Thank you, for your attention, though.” you say. “I’m sorry for taking your time agents.”
You stormed out of there, not even realizing that you left your jacket in there. How could you? Not when you ran out of there as if your live depended on it. You let a sigh out as you got out of the building, not even noticing when the tears started to come down at your cheeks.
At that moment you didn't care at all about where you were, you set on the floor, letting the tears roll down and the sobs come out. You never wished to be away from your reality, it only seemed nice in your dreams. Right now, all you wanted was to go home and hug your parents, or even just see them. You felt lost, as lost as a five year old who can't find his mommy at the park.
You got scared as you felt a big hand touch your shoulders. As your turn, to see who was it, Spencer looked as nice as you could ever picture him to, or see on the screens. His face resembles worry, like he was actually wondering what happened to you and why where you there.
“I believe this is yours.” he hands you your jacket.
You stare at him before.
“Yes, thank you.” you wipe the tears away.
“No- No problem.” he said, sitting by your side. “Are you ok?”
“Yeah.” you answered looking away.
“You don't have to lie to me.” he said, as you looked back at him. “I wanna help you, but I can only do that if you cooperate with me.”
Why would he?
“I don't know where I am. I mean, I do know but I don't know how I ended up here. I understand what is going on, I did after a while but I don't know how to change this situation. I don't know how to go back home.” you said.
Not like he’ll understand, anyways.
"Maybe... Maybe me and my team could help you figure it out?” he tries.
“I doubt it.” you shake your shoulders. “I know that you guys are awesome at your job, don't get me wrong, to be honest I’m quite the big fan.” you laughed a bit. “But it’s just out of hand.”
He stops, looking at you. Gave up offering help, you were not accepting he felt it. No, he knew it. It was his job to know what body language was telling him, anyways. He didn't want to stare at you, but he felt like he needed to. He was stuck at your looks, so pretty, yet so lost.
“If we can't help you, is there anything I can do for you?” he asks.
You looked right into his eyes. Thinking, if you should say it. Maybe so, it wouldn't kill you, it was not like it was the real world of something, well maybe it was but you couldn't care less. All you wanted was somewhere to stay this night and figure out how to get back.
“I do need a place to stay tonight.” you say, smiling little at him.
He had a weird look on his face when you said that, like he wasn't expecting it. Because he wasn't. That moment he considered himself a crazy man, because he knew the risks and yet was up for it.
“Uh, ok.”

Quarantine -3
It would have been nice to have something other than the word of a shadow to go on.  I stared at the ceiling.  I wished I had a cat or a dog or - hell - a pet hamster.  Some other living thing in the house.  I had no idea what Nick was but I wasn’t entirely sure he counted as a living thing.
“Humans who don’t sleep start to hallucinate,”  I muttered to myself.  Maybe if I actually got some shut eye, I would wake up and this would all be a dream.  “Fuck it.”  I got undressed and crawled under the covers.  I settled under the covers, then realized I was facing the closet, so I rolled over.  Having the door in my blind spot wasn’t necessarily better.
“Nick?”  I wasn’t really expecting an answer.  “Can you move the bed to another room?”
“I can.  I don’t want to.  I like having you where I can see you.”
I nodded.  “I’ll go sit in the kitchen until dawn.”
“Go! To! Sleep!”
I jumped then started to shake.  “Yelling at me isn’t going to help me sleep,” I muttered.
The bedroom door slammed shut.  Rattling the door knob and pulling as hard as I could didn’t make it budge.  “Please don’t do this,” I whimpered, then I screamed as something brushed my face.
The door opened suddenly enough that I unbalanced and fell on my ass, but a moment later I was running down the stairs and out the front door.  I was at the gate before I knew what I was doing.
The cops were still right there.
“You need to go back inside ma’am!” the closest one called.  After that they were all looking at me.
I paced for a moment, uncomfortably aware how odd I was behaving.  I needed to get out of here.  I needed a smoke.  I needed to stop acting weird before they decided I had killed my neighbours.
Oh god.  I was trapped in a house with a creature that probably killed the looters.
I didn’t want to face the idea that Nick was a killer.
“Ma’am!  Go inside!”
“I saw what happened on the news,” I explained.  “It’s giving me nightmares and I’ve been stuck in that house for more than a month.  I wasn’t expecting to be quarantined in a construction site.”
“Be that as it may, you need to go back inside,” the patrolman called.
“I’m more than six feet away from you.  Can’t I just stay out here near some other people and the street lights? Please?”
“You aren’t exactly dressed for the weather,” he pointed out.
I crossed my arms over my chest as I realized I was standing on my lawn in my night dress.  I should go in and at least get my robe.  It was in the room with Nick’s closet.
I thought about just confessing to something so that I could go with them.  Prison wouldn’t have Nick.  Maybe I just needed a hospital.  No.  That was a death sentence these days.
He was driving me off.  He had flat out told me that he was good at that.
“Are you alright, ma’am?”
“No!” I snapped.  “I’m scared.”
He gave me a pitying look but still insisted, “You need to go inside now.  You will be safe in your house.”
I snorted, and swatted at the bugs that had found me.
“Go inside,” he said gently.  “The last thing you need is to catch something from the mosquitos.”
I nodded slowly and headed back in to sit in the kitchen.  Maybe he would let me make a pot of coffee.  When I got inside the lights in the kitchen was on and the bed was set up on the main floor.
“Thank you,” I whispered.
“You’re welcome.  This is temporary.  You will sleep upstairs when the walls are repaired.
The next morning I got a phone call ordering me out into the garden as a forklift delivered a load of drywall.  It was left in the middle of the floor next to my bed.  I looked at it.   Nick’s voice was too close to my ear, “Someone will come hang in tomorrow.”
“How did you pay for this?”
“You have an excellent credit rating and you aren’t spending much of your money.”
“Great.  Did they say how long it would take?”
There was no answer to that.
“I guess drywallers wear masks all the time anyway,”  I mused.   “At least there will be some other people around.”
“Yes.”
I didn’t have walls the next day.  In fact things were worse as the last of the lath and plaster was taken down.  They found hundreds of razor blades in the wall in the bathroom.  The construction guys assured me that it was normal to find all kinds of weird things in the walls of old houses, but they still looked uncomfortable that it was razor blades and that some of them were more bloody than you would expect from a mere shaving accident.  I spent the night picking them up with tweezers and dropping them into a jar for safe disposal.  Nick didn’t say a word and the lights stayed on that night.
One half the team turned up the next day.  No one commented on why that was.
I ordered a hammock and a grill for the backyard.  I got the hammock but someone had changed the grill to a chiminea when I wasn’t looking.  It was nice, but I couldn’t cook on it.  My order had also been edited to include a bunch of bug repellant candles and some sunscreen.  I tried to figure out if that was something a shadow creature would actually do or was this another sign that I was losing my mind.
Either way, I worked on the concrete table out back at the very limit of the wifi during the day and concentrated on fixing up the yard after official work hours.
One of the drywallers sold me a patio umbrella.
I also got the lecture that just because the walls were up didn’t mean that it was safe to use the shower.
“You still have to get a membrane installed and your tiles up and sealed,” the guy explained.
I nodded, “You don’t happen to know a tile guy that is still working?”
He frowned, “I’ll ask around.  Do you have tiles yet?”
“No,” I admitted.
“That might be the hard part.  You can still find a few guys willing to come out, but all the factories are shut down.”
“Shit.”
He gave me a look of sympathy.  “Yeah.  There are stories of people doing penny walls or using their grandma’s china to tile just so they have a working bathroom.”
“I don’t have either of those things,” I said sadly.
He nodded, “I’ll ask around.  It isn’t a big project and people might have some leftovers.”
Given how protective Nick was of the house I should have expected his warning.    I was still unimpressed to see “no ugly tile” written on the drywall in the morning.  Still, he could have used the last of my lipstick and instead had found a pencil somewhere.  I tried to ignore it as I brushed my teeth.  I didn’t even have a mirror over the sink.  Grumbling around the toothbrush I realized, “Fuck.  I’m the only person who could buy a haunted house where the ghost had been watching too much HGTV.”
That earned me a creepy house shaking laugh and proof that he hadn’t just left.
“It’s your fault,” he purred in my ear.  “You are the one who fell asleep all those nights with decorating shows playing on repeat on your computer.”
I sighed. “Yeah, it was,” I agreed sadly.  “If I hadn’t would you be haunting me right now?”
“If you hadn’t, I wouldn’t have seen the value in what you are doing and I wouldn’t have spent a week keeping you alive when you got sick.  Perhaps you would have been haunting me.”
I frowned, “I wasn’t sick for a week!  It was only a couple of days!”
“You should check your calendar.  It was a couple of days of you being sick and a week of me forcing you to breathe.”
“There is no way I lost a week without noticing!”
He didn’t say anything.  When I checked my calendar there were nearly two weeks missing.  I told myself it didn’t mean anything.  Nick used my computer, he could have just deleted the information.  I could just call work or Penny or someone and ask how long I was away for.
I kind of didn’t want to.  What if he was telling the truth?
I took my coffee and toast and ate breakfast outside, once again wishing for a cigarette.  Nick had never left the house, as far as I knew, and I didn’t want to talk to him just then.  This was ridiculous!  Shadow monsters didn’t … do that!  They didn’t … exist.  I was just …  this wasn’t happening!
I was out of coffee and the coldness of the concrete bench was soaking through my night shirt and into my ass.  I had left the folded towel I used as a cushion inside overnight so it wouldn’t get damp.  Now I was cold and damp instead.  Fuck.
When I made it back to the kitchen, my laptop was open and had apparently been searching for bathroom tiles.  ‘Fine.  Whatever.  Pick something nice that I can afford.”
I don’t know what I was expecting him to do, but contacting a local stained glass artist wasn’t it.  I really wasn’t expecting her to check if it was OK if my boyfriend picked out the design since it was my credit card that was paying for it.
I was afraid to ask, but I had to know, “What did he pick?”
Nancy cleared her throat, “Well, originally he wanted a reproduction of a stained glass window from Maison Schott in France.  But when we talked about how complicated it would be for a tiler to install that, he settled on a simpler rose on trellis pattern.”
I set down the phone to close my eyes and scrub my face.  “Do you like what he picked out?”  She seemed a little taken aback by the question.  “Yes?  It’s a little modern for your age of house, but it’s a nice piece and will be easy to install.  It mostly uses different textured white glass, so it would be in keeping with a white bathroom. I can have it ready next week.  I’m not exactly over run with work right now.”  She paused before she added, “I’ll send you some sketches and if there is anything you need changed, just let me know.  I could really use the income, to be honest.”
“Yeah.  I understand that.  I guess I’m just doing my part to keep the economy running.”
“I really appreciate that.   The whole ‘buy local’ movement ended when we weren’t allowed to leave our houses,”  Nancy pointed out.
“Ok.  Send me the sketches and the quote and I’ll get back to you in the next couple of days.”
I lay in bed that night and looked at the newly drywalled dining room ceiling.  “What are you doing, Nick?”
“Making a home for you,” he whispered.
“Can I even afford this?  You don’t have a secret money vault hidden in the walls with the razor blades, do you?”
There was a long moment of silence, then he whispered, “You could sell the wine instead of drinking it.”
I froze.  “Just because it’s old doesn’t mean that it’s valuable,” I pointed out.
Something caressed my calf as he purred his reply, “But it is.”
I closed my eyes and let my body melt into the mattress.   My breath caught in my throat as the touch moved up my leg.  As soon as I made the noise, the contact vanished.  I groaned.
“What are you doing?”
“Breaking the rules,” he grumbled from across the room.
I needed to know, “Why were there razor blades in the walls?”
“There was a slot in the back of the medicine cabinet for used razor blades to be dropped between the wall boards so that they were safe and wouldn’t hurt anyone in the trash.  That was perfectly normal at one point in history,” he explained.
I considered this, “Why were there bloody razor blades in the walls?”
He didn’t answer that one.  “Why haven’t you used your little toy since I cleaned it for you?”
Now it was my turn to be silent.
“You liked that toy,” he prompted.  “I liked watching you enjoy yourself.  Good for everyone.”
“That’s really creepy.  Can’t you just watch porn like a normal person?”
“Porn isn’t as satisfying,” he replied.  Then he added, “For either of us.  And I am not a normal person.”
“I noticed.”
“Would we have fucked by now if I was?”  he just sounded curious.  The vocal leer from a moment ago was gone.
“I would have had you arrested by now if you were.”
The low chuckle rumbled through the house at that.  I closed my eyes and he stroked my face.  “Let me watch,” he purred.  “I can feel how badly you want.”
That made my eyes snap open.  “What?”
“I can taste your fear, but also your pleasure.  I enjoyed watching you cum in a way that humans can not understand.  And I am very aware of your frustration.”
“What happens to my soul if a shadow … creature watches me play with myself?”
“It gets to live in a house with a happier guardian?” he suggested.
“A guardian?  Is that what you are?”
“Guardian sounds better than monster or eldritch god but that’s just semantics.”
“I’m pretty sure there is a difference,” I pointed out.
“Perhaps the difference is what I’m doing at the time.  And right now, I am guarding this house, taking care of you and hoping you will take care of yourself.”
“Is that what the kids are calling it these days?” I joked.   “I’m too damn tired!”  I thought for a moment, “I need more rules, Nick.”
“Like what?” he asked in a breathy hissing rasp that sounded pretty much like how I imagined a death rattle would sound.
“Well, there’s that,” I pointed out.  “Now I’m scared and I can’t see you so this is going to be another night of sitting up until I fall down.”
“You need to rest,” he murmured in a more normal voice for him.   It wasn’t human sounding, but it wasn’t deliberately scary.
I had already set up and was fumbling for a light switch. I shrieked when he caught my hand.  “Ugh! Look, either I get to sleep or you get to scare me, but you have to pick one.  And I can’t see when you are going to touch me, so it’s scary every time.  That’s why I asked you not to.  But if you can’t do that, can you at least tell me when it’s coming?”
“Would that really make it better if you knew I was going to lick my way up your back?”
“It would if I knew you would listen when I tell you not to.  This is about trust, Nick.  I don’t trust you.  I am already very aware of how vulnerable I am here.  You could easily lock me in the basement and wait for me to starve to death.  You could smother me with my pillow.  Hell, you could slice open an artery and hide the razor blade in the walls.”  I stopped abruptly, wondering if I was just giving him ideas.  “I can’t stop you and I can’t leave and I can’t trust you not to lock me in the bedroom because you think that will help me sleep.”  He let go of my hand.  I turned on the light and looked around the empty house.  “My head hurts and I don’t want to be afraid any more.”
“I have never done anything to hurt you, but I can see how I have done things that are frightening.”  It sounded like a whisper on the very edge of hearing.  “Turn out the light, lay down and I will rub your back until you can sleep.  I will do my very best not to be scary.”
I turned on my laptop as a source of light and sound before I turned off the light switch.  “I can’t believe I am saying this, but if you want this to be less scary for me, find me a nightlight.  I haven’t needed one since I was ten, but, congratulations, I do now.”
I felt the bed dip.  It didn’t always do that.  “I’m going to rub your back now,” he whispered. “You can tell me to stop.”
“Ok,” I acknowledge.
It wasn’t a massage; it was more like a person petting a cat.  He started at the top of my head and stroked back to my waist, then stopped and started again.  It was vaguely soothing and I was really exhausted by then.  At some point in the night I woke to see a huge black shape hunched over my keyboard.
In the morning I had emails confirming my order of six cartoon animal night lights from IKEA and one from an auction house saying they would be happy to broker the sale of my wine and that they would send an expert to confirm its authenticity.
I wondered how you forge wine.

stuck with you
pairing: enemy!journalist!haechan x journalist!reader
genre: angst, fluff, humour, enemies to lovers (hope i did the trope justice tbh TT)
warnings: cursing, f words lmao, i mention stranger things a lot in this??? mainly bc i just finished watching it w a friend. i also only use ‘haechan’ when narrating the story so i don’t get confused! the timeline for this is Very Weird as well bc like i didn’t consider how long a pandemic would last…… so Uhm. pls just excuse the weird ass time sequence. also referenced yangyang’s bastard child behaviour from dream plan where he packs his things messily and kun had to mf intervene and yangyang had the audacity to go like “see, this is how u get ppl to pack for you, now i don’t have to do anything” 💀
word count: 8k (a headache to proofread...)
A/N: first time trying an e2l trope and im not sure if it was done ok??? i didn't want it to feel too rushed so i tried to spread out the days as much as i could!! i also included small snippets of their life w the other so it won’t seem like the fic is just focusing on the e2l concept! was inspired tons by the lyrics of stuck with u by ariana grande and jb, so that song is definitely something you can listen to if you read this! hope you enjoy ^^
[day 1]
"you're insufferable," you groan, reluctantly handing over the remote control for the hotel's television after some unsuccessful scrolling.
hotels never exactly had much range anyway.
you were very much already dreading the time ahead with the male, sadly having been stuck in quarantine not even half a day with haechan.
offering to go to a neighbouring country to report on the rising covid-19 situation, you didn't expect your rival to tag along, no doubt seeking to craft up a better story than you would.
and so, you were now nudging the remote control into his waiting palm with a roll of your eyes. you hoped it emphasised your annoyance with him even a little, standing up to prepare a cup of tea before bed.
"are you going to keep watching television while i sleep?" you ask a genuine question, peeking at him through the mirror of the vanity that sat outside the bathroom.
he just shrugs with a tired sigh, turning his attention back to the cartoon playing in front of him.
"okay, well, keep to your side of the bed and i'll stay in mine. we need to be social distancing, anyway."
there's a hint of "okay, loser" mumbled under his breath, but you pay it no thought as you finish your tea and brush your teeth before you skillfully set up a fortress made out of pillows.
"ow! what the hell?"
"your leg was in the way, jeez! move it, and i'll stop annoying you," you said, putting up the last of your requested pillows beside where haechan currently sat.
taking one last glance at haechan, you wondered when the lockdown in your country would last before they start letting people fly in. for now, you were trapped with the nightmare himself in a sad hotel room, with only a bed to share.
"goodnight," he tells you, but the sardonic way he says it irks you to the point where you settle for silence instead. the only thing that drones on are the voices of the cartoon, soon fading as you feel into a dreamless sleep.
[day 4]
"this virus thing is probably driving me insane by day, and you, lee haechan, are adding on to it!"
"no headlines, no idea what style to write in, minimal pictures-" the doorbell to the hotel room interrupts your current rant, prompting you to storm off to answer the call with an annoyed look.
"what now?" taken aback by your quick response, the housekeeping girl retracts with downturned eyebrows and a voice hesitant to speak. your roommate comes to the rescue almost immediately when he's heard the commotion.
you watch as he sends her a smile and a wink, deflating when he's let her in to clean up the room. you're not sure why you can't keep your eyes off the both of them as they converse, blaming it mostly on your hatred for the male.
with the last of her duties fulfilled, you offer to help her with the cleaning supplies as an apology, but she cuts you off almost immediately. there's a linger in her step, however, as she walks the short hallway to the door, evident in wanting haechan to send her off as he received her.
turning back to call him, he holds up a hand as he types down his opening lines to an article, prompting you to shoot the housekeeper girl another apologetic look.
"sorry again," you mumble, letting out a sigh at how this was all playing out. day four and you were already making enemies with the hotel crew.
"maybe day forty-one is where i fall in love with lee haechan," you scoffed, perhaps listing down all the unfortunate things that could happen while you were in quarantine.
one of them was catching feelings for your rival.
rolling your eyes, you settled on the bed to catch a few Zs as he continued to work on his article, though you weren't exactly sure about the weight your words held.
[day 9]
"haechan, what is this?" you ask with an eyebrow raised, his dirty boxers barely hanging off your finger.
haechan only groans at that, knowing you were relentless in the laundry. even in a pandemic, he was sure you'd prioritise your clothes first.
"jesus! don't go picking up my underwear just like that!" he snatches it from you, folding it neatly and placing it next to where his luggage sat. unfortunately, yours was right beside his.
"you think just because you're doing the laundry you're able to look through a man's prized possessions-!"
your jaw drops, "it was near the sink, haechan! i don't want to look at the checkered pattern on your boxers when i brush my teeth. i don't want it near my face either."
haechan groans yet again, running a hand through his hair in frustration before turning back to the computer, a blank document opened up in front of him.
despite gathering findings, interviewing healthcare workers and serving the public alongside frontline staff, he had deleted every attempt at writing.
there's a rumble from the bathroom, perhaps from your upset stomach or the choked pipe, but sometimes they sounded too similar he couldn't tell it apart. haechan stifles a laugh when there's a "fuck!" echoing behind the door, though unsure if he should help you or not.
when haechan hears another crash, he comes running without hesitation with a face morphed into furrowed eyebrows and a tilt of the head.
"don't just stand there, you moron!"
haechan snaps out of his daze to assist you off the floor, swiftly helping you even more off the floor as he carries you to the bed with a stiff one arm. you notice his other hand hanging awkwardly, probably not knowing what to do with it before you feel the soft sheets under your butt.
he gets to work within a minute, fishing for an ointment and some bandages his mother forced him to bring. he remembers it as he always has: a caring mother looking out for her son, maybe a little too much sometimes.
haechan is thankful for his mother, now, for the stray bandages laying around in his pouch.
you watch in silence as he cleans the cut with alcohol, wincing when his hand hadn't even touched your skin.
"my hand isn't even on your skin yet! jeez, calm down."
you shake your head, holding onto his bicep to halt his arm, "just use water, please."
exhaling in exasperation, you wonder if you've pissed him off tenfold when he leaves for the bathroom with a side-eyed glance, though not hostile.
"problematic," haechan whispers, dabbing a wet cloth over the wound carefully before applying the ointment and securing the bandages.
"your words contradict your actions so much, haechan. i never know what you're thinking." sighing, you pull your leg away from his hold after he's done with the bandages, making your way to the bathroom and leaving him in his thoughts.
"why do you want to know?"
haechan gets silence; the lock of the bathroom audibly turns to signal another wall put up between the two of you. with another frustrated groan, the boy plops down on the chair to work on his article with the right words forming in his mind.
even if he was the one who asked, he wasn't sure if he was ready to tell you.
[day 13]
"stranger things is freaking me the fuck out, man!" haechan whispered, ignoring your pleads and groans to continue writing.
"haechan! give me the damn laptop! i don't even know why you brought an HDMI cable when it doesn't work with the television system here!"
"well, we got one that matches it, didn't we?" he said, eyes peeled to the screen that showed the young boy, will, in the upside-down.
"you mean you did!" you shoved him, ready to disconnect the devices before haechan held you back, clearly entranced by the next sequence of eleven being able to see will in a pool of salt.
"ugh, god, i don't even know why people watch the show!" you spill with sourness, knowing the show was praised for its excellent acting and writing.
haechan raises an eyebrow, turning to you with a strangely slow speed.
"stranger things have received multiple awards, and you didn't give any other reason. are you scared?"
when you struggle to find words, haechan laughs at his revelation, hiding his pearly whites behind his hand as he continues to make fun of you.
"yeah yeah, i'm scared! so what?"
"'oh haechan! oh no~ i'm terrified, would you care to provide some comfort?' jeez, don't worry, man, i'll protect you." there's a cheeky glimmer in his eyes and a cocky smirk on his face which you very much want to wipe off with the disinfectant in the toilet.
"it's not all that bad, c'mon! give it a-" turning back to the tv, the sudden attack of the demogorgon lashing out at the camera has the male screaming, hiding behind your body in fear.
"you were saying, mr superman?" you deadpan, unlatching his arms around your waist as you sink deeper into the sheets with your phone in hand.
[day 17]
haechan thrashes in his sleep, almost knocking the wine glass you had in your hands when he crosses over the pillow barrier you made.
"what in the hell-" you winced, keeping an eye on the male should he have any more outbursts that would ruin both wine night and the stuff you were working on for the article.
with tipsy hands, your keyboard keys unconsciously write out a letter of disdain and confusion regarding haechan, the boy sleeping next to you with a cute drooling face and curly hair.
with beautiful tan skin like that, you wondered why he didn't model instead. with a voice as impressive as his, you wondered why he didn't sign a contract. with natural hosting capabilities, you wondered why didn't fucking get the place of a talk show host.
because man, he can get pretty bothersome sometimes.
[day 20]
the next few days pass by with a breeze.
despite not knowing how the current pandemic will turn out, you find haechan more bearable, his habits being dumped in the past with a wave of a hand.
petty arguments occur, of course, until one of you brushes off the matter like nothing.
today was one of the days you won't back down.
there's worry evident on your face, eyes scanning through every last document on the stupid laptop. fingers travel fast over the keyboard as the realisation slowly dawns on you.
with slumped shoulders, you take a deep breath before turning to the male.
"what do you mean you accidentally deleted my article? i know we're sharing the damn laptop, but we established that you stay on your files and i stay on mine."
the other waved his hand, "i did not touch any of your files, (y/n), i'm not sure what happened."
"how could you not know? what the hell? i had good content on it, but now i have to spend more hours reorganising the news and interview answers and everything else in my notes. thanks, lee haechan."
"maybe if you weren't so caught up in me trying to sabotage your place in the publication team, then you would've believed me." he shrugged, taking a seat on the one bed like nothing.
you scoffed, arms crossing across your body. "funny how you mention sabotage because a villain never reveals their motive. that's why you came with me, didn't you?"
haechan stuck his tongue out to the side of his mouth, eyes blinking and rolling like an 8-ball that it sickened you to the core.
"villain? i'm the villain?"
"was i not clear?" you hiss, stepping closer to the male.
"no, make it more precise, please. i wanna hear it word for word. spit it out, coward."
with every word, you plunged your finger into his chest, looking deep into his eyes. "you're set out to take my place for department editor, where you know i'm best at."
"and that department would be...?" he crossed his arms, looking down at you with scorn you wished you could slap off his face.
"the..." you gulp with his face all up in yours, eyes boring as he awaits your answer, no doubt losing confidence at your realisation.
"the world depart...ment? you love to travel, right?" you trail off, biting your lip in anxiety when you remember how he was on the plane. you don't exactly remember whether he was more excited or scared.
"wrong! try again."
"politics?" you propose.
haechan's face contorts into disbelief, with his mouth twisted with perplex and eyebrows furrowed. "me? politics?"
your mouth runs dry at the roadblock you've faced, and as that annoying, stupid smirk grows, your hatred for him increases by the charts.
"naming departments i'd rather die than join, running your mouth, accusing me of deleting your files..." haechan shakes his head dramatically, rolling his eyes and letting out a fat sigh.
"you think i wanna be stuck here with your infuriating ass? god, you're so entitled, aren't you? aren't you?!"
"talking like you own the place, talking like you're the only one in this world, talking like- mhfh-"
within three angry steps, you were across the room.
within three booming steps, your hands were on his face.
within three significant steps, you were kissing lee haechan.
"you never learn to shu..." with horror, you're brought back from the trance with widened eyes.
"oh, god, sorry. what. what the hell. what the fuck?" you whisper, pushing the boy away with both hands in a panic, trying to highlight your scorn for him by wiping your lips on your sleeve.
had you liked it?
the other scurried to the balcony in a frenzy while you collected yourself in the bathroom, although no amount of water could calm your nerves.
with shaky words in bed, you both agreed to never talk about it again.
[day 25]
"hey, i can see your damn annotations on my article, (y/n). will you stop it?" haechan whines, making you second guess if he was joking or not.
for the nth time that day, you roll your eyes and proceed to sip from your cup of gin tonic that haechan desperately wanted you to try. it was... a refreshing taste, but hell, you wouldn't drink this even if it was the last beverage on earth.
"i'm just giving my feedback, be thankful i didn't bring up that stupid kiss five days ago. bleugh."
haechan falls quiet at that, fingers lingering over the keyboard as he typed out some note with the speed of a sloth's.
"hey, call me donghyuck. that's my actual name," he mumbles, glancing at you through his bangs while he awaits your reply.
"donghyuck? is haechan an alias?"
the boy shrugs, "i don't know, maybe. my friends gave it to me when i was younger, and i just stuck with it."
"full sun? your friend gave it to you, sure." you grin with a gesture of your hand, almost spilling the gin in the clear glass before breaking into small laughter with the other.
[day 28]
"hey! hey, what the hell?" you whisper, feeling the boy huddle up to you in lightning speed.
"what is wrong with you?" you whisper-shout, nudging him off your body as his phone screen remains as the only thing illuminating his face.
"sorry, i- i was watching stranger things while i was shitting and after i cleaned up... i heard something and bolted out of there."
"so now you're butt naked? hyuck, ew!" you groan, thankful for the sheets that were covering your body and his junk. his reluctance to get off you didn't seem to bother you as much as earlier, but you still wished he wasn't literally naked against you.
"go put on your underwear, you big baby. i'll be here when you come out. no demogorgon is going to come out, for real."
"no no, i was watching season two and it was that big shadow thingy that freaked me out. can't you feel this poor boy shivering?" haechan sighed, eyes never leaving the corridor that led to the bathroom.
"i can, and i also can feel your dick. please get dressed, or you're sleeping on the floor," you mumble, pulling the sheets to cover your freezing body.
[day 31]
your face hits something soft, cuddling into it even further because of its warmth before you realise there was only one other thing that would be warm in the room.
haechan.
your breath shakes, and your eyes widen as you pull yourself away from his embrace. your subtle movement leaves him thrashing around, though, and his arms tighten around your figure slowly and endearingly.
gulping, you will your hands to stay in their place, opting to freeze to death although there are hints of heat crawling onto your face.
when you wake up, you find that his hand's in yours and maybe you were searching for one wrong thing. an anomaly, an exception. it fit in yours perfectly, however, his tanned skin glowing lightly under the rays of sun filtering through the curtains.
you hoped he didn't realise the small shift of your fingers as they enclosed around his hand.
[day 32]
"what are you doing out here?" haechan asked quietly, peeking around the sliding door before joining you on the chilly balcony. it wasn't much, but it was still different and refreshing from the old, stagnant aircon air that was blowing in the hotel room.
"can't sleep," you whisper. you had your arms around your figure cautiously, as if it could protect you from all the bad, evil and terror in the world. at this point, you weren't sure what was it that you were feeling, but it sure didn't involve entertaining haechan's teasing.
luckily, he bit his tongue from making the usual snarky remarks.
"it's two in the morning, what's up?"
you shake your head in reply, watching the empty streets as the last light in the apartment across you switches off. sure, at two in the morning, pavements were dusty clean, and the birds were sleeping, but there would always be younger boys smoking along the road, or a drunken group of friends laughing about a past memory.
now that the pandemic forced everyone into their homes, everything was pretty much dead. there wasn't that excitement you felt when you saw a late-night kiss shared between two lovers or the snug hug of a child to his father who was working overtime that day.
"nothing's up, hyuck, it's fine. you can get back to sleep if you want."
maybe today you two were the one causing the ruckus this time, though. haechan may have let his words slipped, and at that moment, you knew you regretted that bloom in your chest when his lips met yours.
"you're so hard to read, (y/n). i want you to be able to trust me, tell me what's going on."
"why do you wanna know anyway? so you can expose me of my bad habits and weak points?" you whisper, eyes trained on the flickering lamppost a few yards away.
"there you go again! again with the sabotage?" haechan scoffed, exiting the small space and stepping back into the room of mixed emotions.
"is this just about your feelings for me?"
haechan laughed, "my feelings? might i remind you that you were the one who kissed me full on the lips twelve days ago? what was that all about? i wanna talk about it, even though we said we wouldn't! i wanna talk about why you hate me so much. i wanna talk about why your emotions are so contradictive!"
your mouth hangs open as you sputter out a heated reply, but instead gets interrupted with a knock on the door.
"keep quiet, you damn teenagers! i don't need your petty fights at two in the morning!" with padded feet, the guest returns to his room and slams the door to emphasise his complaint. swallowing, your mind goes blank as it focuses only on one question.
"why do you want to know so much lee haechan? what are you gaining out of this? if it's not sabotaging, then what is it?!" you whisper, standing your ground as with the first argument.
your throat is clenched up, and your fists are balled up tightly with nails digging into your palm. your heartbeat races like a fast car and your breathing's laboured in the cold room. there's no movement for a second, though they feel like minutes on end as haechan struggles to answer your question.
"what is it, lee donghyuck?" you cry out again, the sparkle in your eyes shining brightly from the tears of your never-ending dispute. he wished it was from the moonlight, instead. he wished the two of you were laughing over the rim of wine glasses and sharing the mischievous glimmer of the moon in your eyes.
"it's nothing. don't mind it." the other turns to catch up on sleep, leaving you to bite your lip.
"now you're doing it, now you're the one doing it. just tell me, you dumbass!" you mumble, pulling on his pyjama sleeve and tugging you to him.
"i like you, okay! it's out there now, i like you a lot, but you make it feel like a crime to do it," haechan whispers, "whatever. fuck this."
"no- what- no, we'll talk this out." you propose, adjusting your grip on his wrist with the curl of your fingers.
the male shakes his head and snatches his arm back, "no, forget it, and i'd prefer if you left me alone, (y/n)."
even with the warmth of his body next to yours, your body felt frozen and stiff. even with the thick duvet cover over you, you felt out of place in the stale hotel room, with colour becoming black and white, they merge into grey as the moonlight shone without a care for your problems.
there's action on the balcony when your eyes flutter open in the morning, noticing the quiet way haechan observes those rushing to work as well as social distancing officers making their rounds.
his eyes look hopeful and youthful, different from the tired ones the night before, or rather, this morning. you hadn't forgotten the angry neighbour banging on the door, and you definitely hadn't forgotten about how much you've wounded haechan this morning.
with a soft knock, you let him know of your presence and you just miss the way his eyes soften at your bed hair and messy appearance. his gaze turns hard in a second as he turns back to the apartment across yours, the balcony door showing your reflection of how hesitant you were.
haechan wished he could take your hands in his and accept your apology in a heartbeat, but he stayed seated and waited for whatever you wanted to say.
"don't run off, please." there's a shameful hand on his shoulders, and he's dying to get up when he sees your downcast eyes in the reflection across the street.
"i was too caught up in getting department head that i... didn't consider other possibilities. even the possibility of you uhm... liking me. it's still a weird concept to me, especially with how much we bicker."
"i'm sorry i didn't stay to hear out your feelings and rather, i just talked over you instead. i'm not sure if you want to accept this or not, but i want to open up—about this, about your feelings and... i don't know how much i've masked my emotions, i just know that we need to communicate."
the doorbell interrupts your apology, but you internally thank the housekeeping for bringing breakfast for the two of you.
with silence over breakfast, you weren't sure how the other felt as he scoffed down the croissant and almost burned his tongue with the coffee he ordered.
[day 33]
the boy barely watches the television and instead, reads over the article you were working on. seeing as it was already there when he logged on, he skimmed through it out of curiosity, finding that you were rephrasing the messy typos and sentences frantically on your notes.
haechan never forgot the way you were typing away on the laptop, eyes reading and rereading the sentences to make sure they made sense, to make sure they were clear to the reader.
the argument had taken a toll on you, too. he sees it in the way your eyes sink when your words turn out choppy and lacking, he sees it in the way you lug your body to the bathroom after a late night, he sees it in the way you struggle to hold your smile while attending an interview.
'haechan. you confuse me. i'm not...' the note below it trails off, piquing his curiosity at what it had in store.
'haechan.' big and bold letters it wrote, with a few dozen question marks below it. your writing skills shine through even in an informal note about your self-proclaimed rival, each line prompting the other to read more.
'you confuse me. i'm not sure what you're at but, it doesn't seem natural for you to tag along with someone you hate, right? that's what i was thinking too.'
'jeez, i remember hating when suyeon told me you were coming along. i didn't believe her one bit until she showed me your plane ticket and the hotel rooms next to each other. god, and when i came here, it was a day of interviewing before the damn government decided to close flights and force us into a room together.'
'i heard that other people had to be separated. i didn't know why we were the unlucky two that had to be put in a room together. i wished we didn't, almost. of course, you annoyed me when we first moved in. hogging the tv to no end, leaving your dirty underwear everywhere, running your mouth just like at our workplace.'
'i couldn't take it, maybe. sure, my brother has similar antics, but there was just something about you that just set me off, you know? i wouldn't have thought it was the opposite, or at least, i think so.'
'i'm counting the days. day 17 and i'm not sure why i feel this bubbling feeling inside me. of course, there's anger—i'm sure it's there, but there's also this other thing i get whenever i look at you.'
'my heart clenches up, and my hands become clammy, but it couldn't be a crush, right? i would've wasted my breath shouting, and my strength whacking your shoulder.' that makes haechan chuckle and look over at you where the soft light dances over your face.
'and then i started imagining. how would your arms wrap around me? how would your infuriating laughter, which somehow turned out to be so contagious, feel in the crook of my neck? yikes, that was cheesy.'
'what would it feel like if we fell in love for one night? where would you bring me and what would we eat? would we make out in your car like unruly teenagers?'
'what would it be like to love you? it's dumb, isn't it? i don't know. i've liked this bickering thing we had going on, and it's amusing to see you one-up me. i'm not sure if i want that to change and i'm not sure if you want us to, either.'
'maybe i'm wrong, and i'm the only one in this thing. this is so stupid, writing while he's sitting next to me. i'll regret this, maybe. goodnight.'
haechan sighs, closing the device in thought, confused at the words he wasn't exactly supposed to read. had you done this on purpose? he was sharing the laptop with you...
the boy brushed it off, placing the laptop on the vanity before adjusting your side of the duvet, hoping he could find the right words. with hesitant steps, he keeps to his side of the bed, thinking, thinking, thinking.
when he couldn't no more, haechan fell into the spell of slumber in the comfortable hotel room.
[day 34]
"tea?" he asks from the bathroom as the door clicks behind you, returning from the short hotel walk with a new keychain hanging from your sling bag.
"yeah sure, thanks."
the water runs as he fills up the kettle as the constant whir of the aircon and the conversation on the television keeps you company in the vast quietness of the room.
you weren't sure if you should say anything, but when you saw the dishevelled appearance of your roommate, you knew you had to bring up the argument and apology.
"haechan, about our... feelings. do you want to talk about them?" you whispered, a reply reaching your ears in the form of his spoon against the porcelain mug.
haechan hands you the drink wordlessly, sitting on the chair at the vanity before sipping cautiously at the tea. there are unexchanged glances between the two of you before he sighs at your expectant hand tapping the sheets.
"i think it's about time we did," he mumbled, dragging the laptop off the wooden table with anxiety. the other opened it without saying anything, catching you by surprise when the mouse hovers over your note.
"hae- donghyuck! no! what the hell?"
he holds up a hand and clicks on it anyway, making your heart drop to your stomach as he turned the device towards you.
"read the bottom." haechan whispers as you pull the laptop closer to you, settling it on your lap as he observed your expressions carefully.
'i read it, i'm sorry.' you look at him and lift up a hand to prepare to whack him, a defeated sigh escaping you before you carried on.
'was it wrong to read it? of course, and i cannot apologise more for doing shit like that when we still have unsolved tension between us in this small ass room. it was incorrect, but.'
'do you feel the same as me? is bickering all we have to do? why can't we work anything out? they're the questions i keep asking myself after i read your letter.'
'i guess i was too caught up in the fight and not wanting to be the loser that i... can't deny that i've never thought about wanting to get to know you, even if you were that sought out to be my destined enemy.'
'when we fought earlier, you kissed me. i know we said not to mention it, but, uhm, it was good. i liked it. i'm not sure if the reason why you did it was because of the reason you mentioned in the note, but at the time, i assumed it was to shut me up. i thought something would happen after, though you pushed me away and apologised right away.'
'it was a far off dream that i had, but i think it was after i bandaged your foot. you said that you didn't know what was going on in my mind, and i told you.'
'it was like, i was granted an insight into an alternate world, another universe where you didn't feel the strain, where you legitimately assumed i was going for your position.'
'you scoffed when i confessed, right then and there, on day 9. i was counting, too, and it was a scary, confusing dream. i think that's why i held it off as long as i could until your words puzzled and angered me further because you just didn't get it.'
'you scoffed and told me to get lost, pushing on my shoulders where we fought on the balcony for everyone to see. you never spoke to me, you never mentioned my article nor the interviews. we never joked over wine, and we always kept to our side of the bed.'
'i was convinced that heaven wanted me to stay away from you and your heart. maybe it was broken too many times, and you had someone up there looking out for you.'
'i feel like i'm copying off the textbook of some greek mythology starter pack, but i'm for real! no kidding.' you smiled, looking at him with nervous eyes at the small joke he put in.
'i guess whoever put that dream in my sleep really wanted us not to be together because i think i would've told you i liked you on the spot itself. i let my conscious get the best of me.'
'i know this is a lazy way of conveying my feelings, and i wished i could do it with words, but i feel like you wouldn't believe me otherwise. i rushed it this morning when you went on your morning walk around the hotel and when you let me know of your stroll in a soft voice, i wanted nothing more than to get you in my arms as we wake up to the housekeeping service.'
'i didn't want any more tension between us, and i didn't want to be interrupted by your alarm while we avoid each other more. it hurts seeing you escape the room in haste. you said it was weird for me to tag along with someone i hate, too, and that someone was you. i guess you found out why.'
looking up, you found him right in front of you, mouth dry from his reply to your letter. with a gulp, you leaned forward to meet his lips halfway.
"i'm sorry to whoever's up there," he whispers, prompting a grin and a laugh out of you.
the laptop is forgotten on the bed as haechan situates himself over you, clutching your shoulder gently while his lips move quickly, fast to make up for lost time.
"wait wait, wait, you're not playing me, are you?" you mumble in return, reluctantly pulling away while witnessing the way his eyes soften at your guard still up. haechan shakes his head forlornly, tongue pressing up against the side of his mouth nervously.
"no, i'm not, (y/n)," he says quietly with as much sincerity he can muster, removing his hand from your shoulder with a forced smile.
"okay." there's a shakiness to your voice, but when you bring his lips back to yours, it gives you a rush of confidence. your skin is burning up, and your hands can't stop wandering as his lips capture yours, repeatedly moving against yours like a trance.
you grant haechan access to your mouth with a whimper, melting into his embrace as his arms wrap tighter around your figure. his eagerness lingers when he pushes forward, straddling your lap as his leg nudges the laptop.
"wait, hyuck, wait, the laptop!" you joke, placing the device on the floor before getting back into the kiss with just as much fervour. within a minute or so, the other breaks away to say the words you so hated to hear:
"we... we need to talk. we can't just kiss the fight off, although i very much like to," haechan murmurs the last part, making you stifle a smile.
you nod quickly, repeating the word "okay" like a robot. your hands naturally travel from his arms down to his fingers, and you clutch them like your life depended on it.
"we have... established, that i like you, correct?" haechan whispers, scooting closer as his tea-ridden breath surrounds you. from here, you could even smell the buttered croissant he ate this morning.
it made you smile, something simple as that.
"why- why are you laughing (y/n)?" he asks anxiously, eyes darting to find the reason why you found this so funny.
"no. no no no, i'm thinking of... the croissant you ate just now, and," you sigh, resting your head on his broad shoulder.
"i'm thinking of the way your eyes light up when you show me the articles you idolise so much, and i'm thinking of the way you cuddle up to me whenever we watch stranger things."
"i'm thinking of the way you thought i wouldn't give you a chance, even though i've been pondering on the same thing as you. i'm thinking of the things that make up lee haechan, lee donghyuck. yes, you like me, and yes i like you, but i guess i haven't told you the reason."
"i hated you, i really did. i found every reason to convince my mind to hate you. gaining trust, signing up for events you didn't know shit about, sucking up to the seniors, stealing my friends when they didn't know your personality. the personality i didn't even want to know because i was too busy in my little bubble."
"assuming you'd want to get department head was the cherry on top, because why else would you want to tag along? that was the factor that convinced me and confirmed my suspicions from day one."
you grunt in opposition, clearly not liking the truth that was spilling from your lips. haechan deserved to know, however. you kept your eyes trained on his lap where his hands were holding yours in support, crumbling from the blindness that caused your hatred.
"so from then, the plane ride, immigration, the cab to the interview place, the cab back, the hotel room, my hatred for you boiled over." you listed, voice breaking as you looked haechan in the eye.
"it was stupid of me to assume, to assume the worst of you when i didn't even know you. i wasn't even sure why i felt so bitter looking at you, but the way you acted, the way you whined, worked me up so much that i figured that was how you were."
"now when i'm sitting here with the curtains drawn, i can see why you're so attractable and easy to talk to and easy-going and bright that my friends keep talking to you."
"i can see why the seniors turn to you because you're reliable and hardworking without uttering a single word."
"i can see why you wanted to hop on this flight with me because you're always curious about the world and how you can expand your skill set."
and as you said word after word, haechan observes you with a soothing hand against your forearms. his eyes shine for a different reason, for the lost time he could've had if the two of you didn't have this massive barrier. a massive barrier that's been up for the longest time.
brick by brick, the wall is being torn down. as you hold haechan's face in the stillness of the room, you feel closer to him than you've ever felt and his tears match your frustrated ones.
choking on sobs, delayed apologies were all you could whisper.
"i'm sorry, i'm sorry, really. we fought so bad that day, and i was so goddamn insensitive..." you sigh, swallowing a lump when his hand reached up to wipe the tears. with a blocked nose, you breathe shakily as housekeeping interrupts the moment.
you nod towards the door as he stood up slowly to reveal the same housekeeping girl. she cleaned up the bathroom and wardrobe quietly as the two of you stood awkwardly in the small space. she had left the sheets since everyone was practically stuck in, anyway.
haechan nudges you toward the door with a shove, shooting the same housekeeping girl a small smile and a bow as an apology to the previous run-in.
"he confessed his feelings?" she inquired softly, noticing the tear marks on your face.
you bit your lip, "yeah."
"that's good, he's finally not a coward." she laughs, folding the used towels and placing them with her.
you leaned against the door, asking for an explanation with your puzzled look.
"he was someone i liked, before. we had classes back in high school. it was just a dumb crush, honestly." the housekeeping girl shrugs, resting her head on her fist in thought.
"i think he liked me, and i did too, but we didn't do much except for exchange looks and flirt because both of us were just too scared." she shakes her head and adjusts the disinfectant spray bottle, fidgeting with the nozzle.
"i'm glad he had enough courage to admit his feelings."
nodding along to her statement, she bids you farewell as her figure fades with each step, leaving you with a sense of calmness to the end of this situation.
[day 38]
"is... is this okay?" haechan asks, arm hovering over your body while waiting for your confirmation. you smile and nod, sinking into his side as you venture in the third season of stranger things together.
"don't you think we should be working on our articles?" you whisper, looking up at him from where you were with raised eyebrows.
the boy opens and closes his mouth in thought, gesturing to the television with an exaggerated expression.
"stranger things, ma'am."
you click your tongue and sigh with a smile, turning back to the show as you try to relax for an online interview in a few hours.
[day 39]
"what do you say about my set-up?" haechan nudges you, proud of the hangout area he prepared on the balcony. although small, he had no trouble making it look comfortable.
with a smile, you pop open the wine to celebrate the last scheduled interview for the trip, clinking glasses with haechan in the setting sun.
the country you were supposed to return to was slowly opening up flights for those stranded overseas and as refreshing as a different environment was, you missed home and the warmness of it.
you missed the office and your desk. hell, you even missed the mediocre coffee from the pantry.
with the last of the wine finishing, haechan pours half into your glass and the other into his, clinking one last time before you one-shot the beverage.
the high of the alcohol is gradually brought down by the mellow atmosphere and colours of twilight. as pink and orange cross over on the horizon, haechan mumbles a low "c'mere" to you in the darkness.
you hum in response and get up from your seat, bringing a pillow with you as haechan shifts to make space. sinking naturally into his arms, you sigh while you try to contain a smile full of content.
"this is nice," you admit, the corners of your lips disobeying your command, prompting you to shoot him a smile. haechan nods against your hair, a comfortable arm around your waist while you trace the tan skin of his arm.
the other taps your waist repeatedly, turning in response as he whispers out a question that makes your heart melt.
"can i kiss you?" you grin, slipping a hand around his neck and pulling him in right away. haechan's caught by surprise, laughing into your lips and striving to savour the moment as much as he could.
a shout from across the hotel distracts you from the kiss. looking up, you realise it was the apartment resident opposite you shooting you a 'rock on' gesture.
"you guys are not fighting anymore! congrats!" you both stifle a snort as you wave back to the resident, sighing in relief when their balcony door slides shut.
"should we go inside, m'lady?" haechan giggles, replying in the form of a nod, cleaning up the area while you head in.
[day 41]
"i didn't think they'd be letting flights in so early," you mumble, folding your clothes neatly as your vision shifts to haechan... shoving his fair share of apparel into his luggage.
"donghyuck... what the hell?" you roll your eyes, shoving the boy softly as you took over the task at hand. switching personalities almost immediately, haechan fakes an interview segment with exaggerated tones.
"see, everyone, this is how you convince someone to do the work for you," the boy lays on the bed with a satisfied expression, "now i don't have to do anyth- ow!"
"if we ever live together, maybe i should punish you by doing the laundry and then folding it," you grunt, working at the speed faster than you expected while you fold shirt after shirt.
"are you proposing we move in together?" haechan peeks through an open eye, curiosity dripping from his tone. he tried to feign nonchalance but awaiting your answer felt like a weight on his heart.
your next words lifted that weight, a seemingly invisible force bringing his upper body off the bed as he stares at you in shock.
"maybe, not now but... in the future, maybe," you mumble the last part, focusing on the clothes to prevent the male from seeing the fluster on your face.
"for real?" haechan sits up, biting his lip to contain his excitement as your confirmation.
"we'll be all stupidly domestic and shit, and i'll say i love you five years from now before you go off for work if you want that and stuff," your voice goes lower and quieter, especially towards the end, biting off way more than you could chew.
"aw! i love you too!" haechan gushes, bringing you into an embrace as your hands go limp, scrambling to explain your emphasis on the 'future'.
"d-donghyuck, i meant the future, not now..." you manage to spit out, hoping you need not answer his queries any more. your mind blanks out at the current situation, wishing you hadn't said those dumb things.
he grins into your neck, "i know, i'm just answering for future me."
you groan and escape the hug with a roll of your eyes, "yuck, too cheesy!" the boy just lets out a laugh, watching the way you fold his clothes despite your initial annoyance.
[day 42]
suyeon switches between the two of you in disbelief, finger crooked at the ambiguity of "we like each other".
"wha-" suyeon doesn't get the chance to finish the sentence before you shoot her a thumbs up, grabbing haechan by the arm and your stuff with the other.
you were happy to leave the office after a quick debrief since you two had reported to the office right after arriving at the airport, relieved when you heard he'd spare a few more days for your articles to be cleaned up.
"so, (y/n), what would you like to do now?" haechan looks at you through the reflective material of the elevator, observing the nervous wringing of your fingers.
you're glad for the material protecting your face because there's a smile that you struggle to keep as his soft, gentle voice carries through the quiet space.
the anxiety ends when the lift sounds, prompting your eyes to trail down his arm. your hand moves on its own accord, grabbing his last finger with yours as you proceed into the lift sheepishly, not missing the way haechan's eyes show his bright smile behind the mask.
"maybe i'll get to know you more, lee donghyuck."
haechan lets out a gasp, "have you not learned about me enough? scandalous."
you feign a punch in his direction, the luggage beside you tripping over its wheels due to your swift movement. the only response you get is a giggle from the other as he tightens his pinky around yours, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek right above your face mask just as the elevator doors open.
"man, i really do want to punch you now," you mutter as you let haechan lead you, wanting nothing more than to rest in the arms of your enemy-turned-friend? enemy-turned-someoneyoulike?
you weren’t exactly sure.
he doesn't answer during the walk to the main road, nor the ride back to your home, the only constant thing being the way he admires your profile in the taxi, shrugging when you counter with a playful "what?".
"nothing," haechan grins.
[there are more days to come]
sure, day forty-one may not have been the day you fell in love with haechan, nor the day where he outwardly claims you as his lover.
but, taking it slow never hurt anyone, either.
you know it in the way he tells you he can't go in unless he's invited and you see it in the way he asks if he can switch the television on while you prepare some drinks.
like the hotel, you know it in the way he asks if he can kiss you and the way he deepens his kisses with caution.
you appreciate it in the way he quickly apologises for a personal question, while visibly relaxing as you brush it off with a smile.
with hours pass, day forty-two becomes day forty-three, and haechan remains as chivalrous as always.
days pass, and you submit your articles. weeks pass, and you get to know the boy more and more. months pass, and you feel his love in the way he plays with your fingers in the dark and pulls you close under the sheets.
even if you hadn't acknowledged the love between the two of you, that note you wrote half-drunk matched the way you felt now—with how your heart clenches up and with how your grin never leaves your face with haechan around.
there are more days to come with lee haechan, lee donghyuck, even if it meant getting stuck together in a hotel room with unsaid words.

HC of you meeting of of the boys(preferably Ben or Joe) before COVID and when it hit you stayed with them because you were far from home. Is this too much? Btw I love your posts and just want you to post more again 💀
Tumblr media
How it started:
You were traveling around a lot before it was finally after the holidays
You were in New York, staying in a hotel when the news about COVID was getting big
In your final days you were going to a shop everyday, just to grab what you needed for the day
That’s when you ran into Joe. You knew you knew him from somewhere but didn’t say anything until you saw him there the next day
“Are you stalking me?” You would ask as you grabbed a bag of chips. He would let out a loud laugh as he looked at you
“Yeah actually, what gave it away?” People sworned around them.” This is crazy huh?”
“Yeah, I gotta get home soon if this keeps up.”
“Or stay in New York? Maybe run into each other before we turn into zombies?” He joked. “Totally.” You would agree and leave it at that
You two saw each other a few more times and gave flirty smiles through out the week and some small talk. He told him about his place and you talked about where you lived
A few days later when you realized that things weren’t going to get better you packed your bags. You first stopped at the shop to grab a few things because you didn’t know what the airport could be like
When you walked in, you saw Joe with a big shopping cart
“Oh my god, I totally started the zombie apocalypse.” Joe said when he saw you
“I won’t tell if you don’t.” You told him as you walked down the isle
“Are you going to be comfortable staying in a hotel?” You would give him a weird look. “I’m heading to the airport.” You told him with a laugh. “All of the airports shut down. No flights anywhere right now.”
“Oh my god. Oh my god.” You would start to call every hotel as Joe was checking out. Everything seemed to be booked or they were taking anyone new. How caught you outside as you stood by the cab, calling places
“You okay?”
“Everything is booked, Damnit!” Joe would hate to see it. “S-stay with me.” You gave him a look. “You could be a murderer.” You told him before he laughed. “I’m not and I’m serious. You can’t be on the streets right now and I have another room. And I think I have more reason to be worried, get in the cab crazy.”
You stayed in the guest bedroom, and even alone you felt awkward. You thought you should just try to call someone willing to drive all of the way to get you but you couldn’t ask anyone to do that and you didn’t think they would
The next morning you woke up to him pouring coffee. As he gave it to you and started small talk you stopped him.
“Stop. This is super nice but weird. I will call someone and leave. I- I think I should leave but this is great. If you start a bed and breakfast I will def give a good Yelp review.” He would laugh at you.
“Please don’t. Just stay until something opens up and you can safely be on a flight or a hotel. It could be fun. You could tel you kids about it one day or something. I swear I’m not a creep and I really would feel bad if I left you ok your own.”
Staying:
You called your family and told them you were staying with a friend and to not worry
It was awkward at first because either of you knew how to be comfortable with the other but it got better
Making breakfast for each other, being a good house guest, watching a few movies together a week, all around stuff
After two weeks of being in a house together, you thought it time to know each other and started to cook dinner. But horriblely messed up and Joe called his mom for cooking tips
“Mom I’m not joking, no she didn’t add water.” You blushed heavily as he talked to her. He ended up cooking for you which made you feel even worse
“Why were you cooking anyways?” He questioned. “I wanted to be something nice. We’ve been in the same house now for two weeks straight and I don’t know you. You could still be a murderer.”
“I’m an actor actually, pretty sure you knew that. I’m a Virgo, I play bass-“
“And you like long walks on the beach? Real stuff Joe! Also, I guessed Virgo, your earth sign energy is crazy, what’s your moon?”
“I- I don’t know. Ask me something then, anything.”
“Do you like coffee?”
“You crossed the line.” He told you, making you both laugh
Through out quarantine:
Going through 2020 together was the most chaotic thing that happens to you
Watching just about every show on Netflix
Everyday something worse happens you two take a shot and then put a tally on a peice of paper
Having 2020 bingo cards, literally
Ordering a lot of games to pass time
Making bets about what next month will hold
Getting to know Joe in weird ways
Having to explain to where you work that you’re now working from New York
Joe being the most chill person, even with the things that are happening
Him trying to make the days better
Joking about separation anxiety with each other but lowkey if one of you goes to the store for too long the other ones is worried
“What day is it?”
“Thursday.” Joe would question everything he’s done all week but can’t remember a single thing
Becoming rather close and very chaotic
“This is everything we need to do after it’s over.” You would tell him
“An aquarium?”
“Well it’s that or we could get high and watch Jaws, your choice.”
“I’m glad we aren’t those people that go on walks and zoom with their families, that’d make us seem way to normal.”
Trying your best to pass the time, April and May being the worse
Getting a lot of little arguments
“You called me a child when I bought them, and then you took HALF!” You would yell
“You’re fighting with me about this?”
“Yes because you made fun of me. You either get more or we fist fight.”
Neither of you know how to shop for food in the beginning because everything was being taken from the shelves
“You bought two packs of energy drinks?”
“Everyone was taking the water and soda, I had to act fast.”
Catching yourself falling for him
How could you not? He took you in, cooks dinner, helps ease your pandemic anxiety
Him being the biggest goof
“Joe, it’s 1am, I’m not making a fort with you.”
“Why not?”
When the summer came you two held out hope for better things to come but they just seemed worse
Meeting the boys over zoom
“Sorry, we’ve all been really surprised when we heard the story. It’s very Joe but we were scared some weird things would happen.”
“Yeah, I don’t watch him sleep or anything like that.”
“Really? I’m a beautiful sleeper.”
Making him tea
Hearing him over sing in the shower
After the summer with numbers rising again, going home seemed like a dream
You didn’t want to risk your family getting sick but staying with Joe more seemed too much
Wishing you had met at another time because it seemed too weird to make a move. You were getting almost a middle school feeling crush. This ended up in a debate with yourself, talking about pros and cons and leaving and all of the things you have wanted to say since March
“You can do this. You are a strong woman, you are to the point and the worst thing he could say is no and that’s okay, you’re still that bitch.”
“Who’s saying no?” Joe asked you as he came in
“No one, maybe you, I don’t know, wanna watch a movie?” Joe would look at you as you stood awkwardly.” Don’t look at me like that.”
“What’s happening right now.”
“I’m sorry, it’s not you. It is but it’s like your fault but I also have some blaming but you did it.” Joe would nod his head, trying to make sense of anything that was happening.” I have developed, a sorry of, very tiny and minor, crush. That I’m sure it just because another man hasn’t looked at me since March but at the same time I think it’s because you’re a really great person and now I’ve made this awkward and we won’t talk about it ever again.”
“A crush?” “I just said we won’t talk about it.”
It worked out because he ended up liking you back but it was definitely weird for a little
You two felt more in the way or each other than living together
But after a few weeks you two realized how weird you were being and figured out it was nothing
“Trump got COVID.” “Shots?” “Yep!”
As you two were drinking you looked at each other and laughed, spitting the drinks everywhere.
“Wanna order in? Act like this week didn’t happen?”
“Yeah.”
Felt like you were living out a literal movie
Making the best of 2020 although it was weird
Dating:
The same as before but now it’s this new part of Joe
He’s more romantic but still funny and himself
Having “date nights” once a week. That just meant he would light candles and turn the lights out and pretend it was a fancy restaurant
Finding out a lot about each other
Him telling his family about you and how it’s been with you. Making you freak out a lot on the inside
The boys all telling him they were calling it
“You can’t just threaten to lock yourself in the bathroom just because I said I didn’t want pasta tonight.”
“Watch me!”
Still tiny agruments but nothing serious, ever
“It doesn’t matter why! He just did!”
“Then where did the hammer go when he left! He took it with him but when he came back old all he had was the shield!”
Planning out where you two would travel next
You two having the weirdest comfort level with each other
Talking about what would have happened between you two of the pandemic didn’t happen
Game nights becoming twice as better now that you’re both more comfortable with each other
Making both of your guys friends join a zoom to play with
Flipping coins to see who makes dinner
Whenever you don’t eat what he makes he always threatens to never cook again
“Have peanut butter and jelly everyday, I don’t care. You’re missing a real Italian man right now!” He said, coping an accent
Coping each other all of the time just to see what the other one will do
Having the most fun you’ve ever had with him, even with you two stuck in a house
Realizing the a pandemic made you find the love of your life

Out of your ocs how affectionate are they? (For example if cuddles happen how long will they last?) (I really want to know how affectionate The Professor, Nohi, and Midnight are. Fluff sustains me and for some reason my three favorite are in the least fluffy of all your stories) By the way thank you for creating and sharing all of your wonderful ocs! They are all so cute.
I can give you some good ole head cannons. (Do I still call it headcannons if they’re my ocs?) (Okay, just finished writing, but it turns into more scenarios.
Professor
You guys rarely get peace or enough alone time because you guys work on an Intergalactic Science Station. it’s either the Professor having the quarantine for a while because an experiment went wrong and got all over him or you having to rush to your area to make medicine for an alien that ate one of your poisonous mushrooms because, and you quote, “You said mushrooms tasted good.”
Although, there are those rare days were after you guys finish work, nothing goes wrong. So, you walk into your living quarters to see Professor already on the couch with a blanket draped over him with the projector having an Earth movie on.
Poor man just wants to have you in his arms as you guys watch a movie, but you want to ‘take a shower’ and got to ‘order food’. I hope you don’t mind listening to a dramatic alien drape himself over your couch and complain about how he will die if you don’t cuddle him.
Finally, you come back in your pjs and a bag of food. He uses one hand to hold the bag of food, another to hold the blanket up for you to fit under, and another two to grab your waist and pull you into him.
Finally, with you in his arms, he dips his head down into the space between your neck and shoulder, enjoying the feeling of your warmth to his cool skin. His six black eyes shut in contempt as all the stress from the past solar setting all just melt away.
After a few seconds of just enjoying your warmth and inhaling your oddly calming scent, he pulls back and let you rest on his lap comfortable. He turns you, so your small human frame is nestled in his chest.
This is where six arms come in handy. One hand is rubbing your scalp, another is rubbing your temple to make sure you don’t get those weird brain pains you call ‘headaches’. Another two is giving your back a massage to relax your muscles. Then the last two are unwrapping your food and feeing you.
He doesn’t mind pampering you if you stay curl up against him like this.
Nohi
Getting this snake to admit he want cuddle is probably close to impossible. Instead you get things like this.
You will be laying on your couch watching something on your phone, when a small hiss gets your attention. You turn you head to see that Nohi is standing near your bedroom holding a blanket around his neck. His eyes are still half closed, but you can tell he’s glaring at you.
“Why aren’t you in bed? It’s freezing cold in there?” Translation, is that he’s cold and wants you there.
You try to tell him that it would be warmer in the living room since there’s bigger windows in here. He just frowns at you as he realize you aren’t picking up on what’s he’s trying to do. You are, but you just want him to actually say it.
“The couch doesn’t fit all my tail on it, especially if you were to be on it. I take up the couch with 70 percent of my body.” Translation: We both can’t fit on the couch.
“Well, I got some more quilts in the closet that can keep you warm on the bed,” you teased returning back to your phone. You pretend to scroll while Nohi just stood there with his mouth open.
He let out another hiss to get your attention, but you pretend to not hear him. He start to thump the back of his tail, but you still didn’t budge.
He slither closer to you and watched as you continued to look at your phone. Your boyfriend is cold in YOUR house and you’re not being a good host by running to cuddle in the bed with him.
You watchin through your peripheral as Nohi stared you, watching the gears turned in his head. He looked around the room before noticing something next to the couch.
He slither past very slowly before he let out a scream. You pulled your phone down in time to see a 12 foot of solid naga falling towards you. All the wind in you were knocked out as he landed on your side.
“Your dang fuzzy socks. Told you to get those things off the floor last night,” he grumbled, trying to not seem suspicious by snuggling into your side. His face was turning red as he felt that burning heat that humans left off.
You tried to hold  your laughter in as you realized he just tried to slip on a sock to cuddle you. “Come here you big goof,” you laughed. You wrapped your arms around him and let him snuggle into your chest.
His tail slide up on the couch and wrapped around your legs. He let out a slow hiss as he melted into you. Your fingers came up and played with the back of his neck. He loved when your rubbed or scratched there because of the mixture of scaled and hair coming  out.
“Next time, just asked to cuddle and you can be here even faster,” you taunted. He let out a small growl and open his mouth to playful bit your collarbone. “Right, right. You would rather let 6 feet of muscle magically slip on a few inches of sock.”
He ignored your comment on his horrible acting for grabbing your free hand. He entwined your fingers and ran his thumb over your knuckles.  Pulling on them gently, he brought them to his lips were he pressed a small kiss to them. “Love you.”
“Love you two,” you whispered back, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. He let out a happy hiss as he snuggled closer to you and closed his eyes. That’s your naga for you.
Midnight Mask
Where you slightly sick because you decided to do a photoshop with a newly wed in the pouring rain? Maybe, but they did tip well, so it was totally worth it.
The only problem was that your body felt too weak to even slide out of the bed, not to include how freezing cold the outside world seem from under the blanket. You did not feel like getting up for work.
“Sugarplum?” You lifted your head to see Midnight dangling from a vine outside your window. You had started to leave that window unlock just for him since he seemed more comfortable using that than walking into your apartment to use your front door.
“Hey, sweetheart. Come on in,” you wheezed out. Your throat felt so dang dry. You lifted your shirt to cover up your cough. Man, you felt bad.
Midnight slight moved in as he watched you in bed. He’s seen you sick before, but never this bad. What was wrong with his sugarplum?
“I’m okay. Just a little cold... maybe the flu. But don’t worry, I’m fine,” you tried to reassure your scared looking boyfriend. That didn’t really help calm him at all.
He crawled onto the bed and got on top of you. His black eyes were searching all over you, seeing your shivering form and how glossy your eyes looked. Your nose seem to be red.
He crawled off of you and headed into your kitchen. You really didn’t question him. He thought more in his head than he did out loud. So when he was ready, he would explain to you what he was doing.
You were awaken by the feeling of the bed dipping. You rolled over to see Midnight crawling into bed with what appeared to be a giant palm leaf in his hand. He used his other free hand to lift you up, so you were laying against his side and sitting more up.
He put the leaf on the bed, allowing you to see everything that was in it. There was a bowl of what appeared to soup, a cup with some purple liquid in it, and a thing wrapped in multilayers of leaf.
“For cough,” he whispered, picking up the cup. He picked it up and went towards your lips.
“What is it? you asked, trying to stay awake. You lean your head on his shoulder to try to stop your head from spinning. He rubbed his forehead on your and let out a small whine.
“Medicine. Good for humans,” he whispered. He pressed small kisses to your head as you took the drink. You open your lips and started to let the liquid slide down your throat. Surprisingly, it tasted like.. water. Like nothing, but a hint of something there.
“Now, soup. Soup of chicken and lots of herbs.” You let out a small groan at that. You didn’t particularly feel hungry and you really wanted to lay down and just sleep the night away.
He stared at you down with his eyebrows drawn down. His tribal marks seem to be glowing in the dark room. Whelp, that’s something new. Got to ask him later.
His hands slide under your leg while the other one let go of the soup. You were scared it was going to fall, but it just stayed up in the air. He wrap his arms around you and lifted you into his lap. “Going to use leaves. Will clean later.
Leaves started to grow from outside of the window and slip into your room. They were careful of your things as they headed towards your bed. They begin to slide under Midnight and before you knew it, you guys were in some sort of vines hammock. Surprisingly it was keeping you warmer than the blanket under you.
“Say ah. Airplane,” he said. You turned towards him to see a spoon floating towards you with soup in it. Wait, you get to cuddle Midnight while being fed warm soup by some magic.
You let out a small smile as you open your mouth. Midnight continued to use whatever magic he had to feed you the soup while his arms stay wrapped around him.
Near the end of the bowl, he started to notice that you were chewing a lot slower and your head was nodding off. When your eyes slide close, he floated the bowl over to your desk to let you have your rest.
Sliding down into the hammock, he continued to let you have your rest as he rub small circles into your back. Every so often, he would reveal your forehead to press small kisses to you. He don’t know what sickness you had, but if it thought it could make you feel bad when he was around, it was wrong. Nothing would dare hurt the love of his life when he was around.
--------------------------------------------------
I hope my touch-starveness didn’t come off too hard in this, haha. I miss writing like this. This was so refreshing. Thank you anon for the inspiration.
Realized I didn’t answer the ask, but the yes, very affectionate. They love you, so of course they will cuddle you for as long as you want.

Tumblr media
You took a look at the girls and sure enough, they were watching the two of you and were whispering amongst themselves. You didn’t know who they were so you were assuming they were on Josh’s guests.
You weren’t one to start fights however, you were extremely petty though. It’s a habit you’re trying to get rid of. “Hey, Tom?”
He hummed in response. “Do you want to finally get them off your back?” You asked him. He stared at you for a moment before nodding.
“I’m going to do something but promise me you’ll forget it as soon as it’s done.” You disclosed, not even knowing why you’re actually going to do it.
“Okay...” You knew he was getting curious. “What-”
You grabbed the side of his face and kissed the corner of his lips. To say that both of you were surprised was an understatement.
Your lips lingered on the corner of his. As soon as you saw the girls with their backs turned against you two, you pulled away.
You could easily see Tom’s ears turn red. You weren’t sure why, but you were too distracted by the fact that you actually did that.
You also felt yourself getting hot. You were sure that your face is burning, however, you were unsure of the fact that maybe it’s burning because of the stunt you just pulled or because of the alcohol in your system.
“It’s definitely the alcohol,” you murmured.
“Sorry, you were saying something?”
Seemingly lost for words and embarrassed, you told Tom “I need another drink.”
If anyone asked you what just happened, you probably won’t have an answer as you were confused as well. That’s why you were practically running to the open bar, leaving Tom on the dance floor, with the look of bewilderment painted on his face.
“Tom!”
He turned his head around, looking for who could have possibly called his name. Upon seeing who it was, he greeted her with a huge smile on his face. “Liv, congratulations! It was a wonderful ceremony.” He said genuinely.
“Aw,” Olivia cooed in delight. “Thanks, Tom! We’re happy you could make it.” She beamed.
“Would’ve never missed it,” Tom smiled.
“Oh, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but have you seen Y/N?” Olivia asked, looking around.
He felt himself turn red, which Olivia noticed but chose not to point it out. “She told me she was getting herself a drink...”
“That bitch never learns,” Olivia murmured to herself. “Tom, can you do me a favour? Can you please keep an eye out for her? She tends to drink a lot at weddings and-”
All of Veronica’s words came flooding back to Tom, knowing that he was supposed to stop Y/N from grabbing another glass. “Right, of course.”
“She doesn’t have a problem!” Olivia quickly disclosed. “It’s just- She tends to do a lot of weird shit while drunk.” She chuckled. “I mean look at where you two are now. None of this would’ a happened if- Oh, I’m sorry.”
“S’okay, Liv. I know.” Tom shook his head, politely dismissing Olivia. “Uh, Liv, if you don’t mind, I’m going to look for-”
“Oh, no, you’re all good.” Olivia smiled. “I have to meet with Josh in just a few minutes anyway.”
Tom congratulated Olivia again for the beautiful ceremony before he left. As Tom was looking for Y/N, he found you leaned against the bar with a drink in one hand and a phone on her other.
“Y/N.” Tom called, putting his hand on your shoulder.
“Holy fuck-” You almost spat your drink. “Jesus Christ, Tom, you fucking scared me.”
Tom chuckled. “’m sorry, darling.”
“What are you doing here?”
“I’m here to pick you up,” Tom said as he saw the drink on your hand and grabbed it “and to stop you from drinking.”
You furrowed your brows at him, “Why?”
For a moment, you could’ve sworn you saw Tom shift his eyes over at your lips. That’s when you realized that you were pouting and quickly pressed your lips together.
“’cause you’ve had enough drinks for tonight,” Tom simply stated. “Why don’t I take you back to your hotel?” He offered.
“I’m good, Tom.” You said “People aren’t looking, you can quit acting like you care now.”
Tom chose to ignore the last part and pulled out his phone. “I’m texting Veronica that we’re leaving.”
“Seriously, Tom, just let me be.”
“Y/N, I’m just looking out for you. You’ve had a couple of drinks already and apparently, Zoë needs you to be up and well tomorrow morning.” Tom said, the frustration was getting through him.
“Tom-”
“I’m serious, Y/N. I will carry you to my car if I have to.”
All you could do was glare at him.
Tumblr media
“You’ve been frowning for 10 minutes now, your face is going to get tired, darling.” Tom commented as he stole a quick look at you, only to find you with the look of annoyance plastered all over your face and your arms crossed.
“I can’t believe you actually carried me! It was so embarrassing, you dickhead.” You grumbled, feeling shy since quite a few people did see his stunt and found it absolutely adorable.
“I did say that I was serious,” He pointed out as he did a shoulder-check before making a turn.
“Don’t even know why you’re driving me back to the hotel. I could’ve called someone, ‘ya know?” You were coming up with ways as to how you can avoid spending time with Tom, which was undeniably impossible since he is your boyfriend after all.
“Nonsense,” Tom pulled over at the front of the hotel, stepped out of the vehicle to give his keys to the valet and opened your door. “I would rather drive you back and know that you’re safe.” He said as he offered his hand for you to take.
You were reluctant at first, however, you still took his hand. He was being nice and you had to respect that.
Actually, you did notice that Tom was being nice within the past few weeks that you’ve started to date. Him becoming genuinely nice was starting to become a problem, especially when you’re involved with a lot of fake dating stunts.
It pulled your heartstrings in all kinds of different directions and you know it’s wrong, which is why you’re trying your best to put those feelings aside.
“Thanks Tom, I think I can handle myself from here.” You said as you carefully pulled your hand from Tom’s.
He frowned, “I have to take you up to your room, darling. Don’t you know that there are endless possibilities of what can happen to you just from the walk from the lobby to your room? Especially the lifts.”
You stared at him for a moment. “Well, I wouldn’t say I’m that paranoid but knowing you would never budge, then I guess you can walk me up to my room.” You said, not really going to fight him off. You already fought that battle earlier and you were left embarrassingly defeated.
The walk to the room was quiet, which was exactly what you needed. You were exhausted from today’s events, not to mention that you also had to wake up extremely early to get ready for your hair and makeup.
God, I can’t wait to take all of these off, You thought to yourself.
After what seemed like forever of looking for your keycard, you finally got to open your door. You turned to Tom who was leaning against the doorframe. He had the sleeves of his white button-ups rolled up to his elbows and he had a small smile plastered on his face, even though his eyes were nearly hooded from what seemed to be an exhausting day as well for him.
“Thanks again, Tommy,” you said softly. “Today must’ve been extremely exhausting for you.” You were starting to feel guilty as you felt like you made him jump through hoops just to take care of you when he had no obligation to do so.
“S’alright, darling.” He said before letting out a yawn. “Well, I best be off then. Good night, my darling.”
Tom had a couple of steps in before you shouted for his name, causing him to halt in the middle of the hallway. He turned to look at you, wondering why you called him.
“Do you wanna stay for a while? You must be exhausted and I don’t think I can live with myself if I let you drive whilst so.” You asked shyly. You weren’t heartless. You knew how to appreciate people’s efforts and right now, you had to swallow that pride of yours to show that you were thankful for Tom and his efforts.
Tom had to make sure that he heard you correctly. After all, you were the same girl who was reluctant to spend time with him for most of the time.
He had a loopy grin painted on his face. You weren’t sure whether it was meant to tease you or it’s because he’s getting sleepy, either way, it was enough to make you roll your eyes at him.
“Why are you smiling like that? Just-” You pinched the bridge of your nose, not knowing that it was possible to feel both annoyed and embarrassed at the same time. “Just stay with me for a bit so you can rest.” You mumbled the last part.
“Are you sure?” He asked for clarification. “Think I can drive for at least 30 minutes more-”
“Tom, just get in here with me.” You said as you took a hold of his hand and pulled him inside your hotel room. “If you think I’ll let you drive for half an hour when you’re nearly about to pass out then you’re dead wrong.” You pointed out as you closed the door.
“Are you getting soft on me now, Y/N?” He teased with a playful smirk on his face.
“No,” You denied, drawling out the ‘o’ as you kicked off your heels and pushed them to a side. “It’s called showing gratitude for being there for me.” You said, trying to sound casual as possible.
“Well,” Tom propped off his shoes and made his way to the bed “I like this side of you, darling.” He grinned.
You gave him a sarcastic smile before you turned your back and grabbed some change of clothes from your suitcase.
As you were in the bathroom to get yourself changed and try to get out of the bridesmaid dress, you’ve come across a tiny problem.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” You hissed at yourself as you tried to unzip the back of your dress, failing miserably. “I have already prepped myself for the idea that I would be in the comfort of my sweatshirt.” You said to the mirror, not knowing where to pour the frustration running through you.
You opened the door slightly and found Tom who was sitting on the bed comfortably, his feet propped over the tower of pillows and his back rested on the bed frame.
“Tom?” He looked up from his phone to find where you called him from and when he saw you peering from the bathroom, he had his eyebrow raised. “Can you help me unzip my dress please?” You asked in a quiet voice.
“Sorry, what was that darling?” He asked and when you tried to repeat it again, not changing the volume of your voice. “Y/N, you have to speak up. Can’t hear you from here, darling.”
You sighed and opened the door wider, “Tom, can you unzip my dress?” You practically yelled. “-please.” you added awkwardly.
Tom blinked a couple of times before scrambling his way to the bathroom, muttering soft “yeah”s along the way.
As soon as he reached the bathroom frame, you quickly turned around so you could get this thing over with. Tom moved your hair to the side before finding the zipper of your dress. As he carefully unzipped your dress, you could feel the slightest touch of his fingertips grazing on your skin.
The trails of his touch sent you into shivers. God, am I that touch-starved? You thought. For you, the process was excruciatingly long. In reality? It probably only took like 30 seconds or less.
Shaking it all off, you quickly said your thanks and practically slammed the door on his face.
God, if you’re listening, I know I’m a handful but dying from embarrassment isn’t how I saw myself passing, You practically yelled to your thoughts.
After giving yourself a couple of minutes to change into your oversized sweatshirt and some sleeping shorts and also giving yourself to calm down, you grabbed your makeup wipes and made your way to the bed.
You tried your best to keep your cool and act as if nothing had happened. Act like you didn’t want the ground to swallow you whole.
You and Tom were sitting in silence: him scrolling on his phone and you trying to remove your makeup. The keyword was trying as you barely had any energy left to do anything and removing your makeup and fixing your hair felt like absolute chores.
“Do you want to watch a movie?” You asked, turning to Tom as you continued wiping your makeup off.
“Sure, whatcha got in mind?” He asked, putting his phone down and passing you the remote.
You hummed, waiting for the TV to finish loading the selections that they have on demand. “Ooh, they have Hereditary. I’ve been wanting to see the film for a while and I heard good things about the film.”
“Isn’t that a horror film?” He asked and you nodded. You could see that he was trying his hardest to assess whether he agrees with the film or not.
Of course, being the annoying person that you are, you teased Tom. “Aw, are you scared Tommy?” You cooed.
He rolled his eyes and denied your accusation. “’m not scared.”
“It’s settled then,” You grinned. “We’re watching Hereditary.”
As you were at least twenty minutes into the film, you took a quick look at Tom who was evidently engrossed with the film. You scooted a bit closer to him which he failed to notice, bringing a devilish smirk on your face. You slowly leaned in, just enough for your breath to hit his skin, and whispered “Tom” in an attempt to scare the poor guy.
Your tiny prank worked considering he practically jumped, almost making him fall off the bed. You, on the other hand, couldn’t stop laughing. “That was not funny, Y/N.” He said as he returned back to his spot, only this time, he had his head resting on the bed frame while his back was supported with the pillows.
“I beg to differ,” You said teasingly “Do you want to get room service? I’m kind of hungry.”
He just shrugged, saying that it doesn’t matter whether you want to or not. However, you were hungry and you’re not about to carry on watching the film with an empty stomach.
You quietly ordered room service as Tom was busy watching the film. He looked adorable, if you were being honest. He was hugging one of the pillows and used the same pillow to rest his chin on.
You were debating whether to wait for the food to arrive or fix your hair. Your hair was styled in a half-up braid, tiny flowers delicately placed within the braid, while the ends of your hair were curled. The hairstylist took a significantly huge amount of time to style everyone’s hair which is why you had to wake up at the crack of dawn. No wonder you were exhausted.
You chose to wait for the food instead and settled next to Tom. You two were clearly immersed with the film and you both flinched at the sound of the knock on the door as the scene of Charlie’s head rolls and turns into a ball pops up on the screen.
“Jesus christ,” You swore under your breath as you left the bed to go answer the door.
“Aw, are you scared, Y/N?” He mocked, which you rolled your eyes in response.
“Shut up, Holland. I’m not the only one who’s scared here.” You retorted.
You opened the door and thanked the staff that brought your room service, not forgetting to hand them a tip.
“I ordered strawberry and banana pancakes,” You told Tom with a childish smile.
“It’s midnight and you ordered pancakes?” He asked with an amused smile.
“I was craving pancakes,” You pouted. “We can share, you know? You didn’t tell me what you wanted so I just ordered food for myself.”
“S’alright, darling.” He answered “Don’t worry about it.”
“We can totally share, Tommy. I didn’t expect they’d give me this much so I won’t be able to finish this by myself.” You said as you showed him the huge stack of pancakes.
He just laughed and nodded, giving in because you weren’t going to let him just watch while you ate.
“Oooh, I also ordered tea because I remember that you like tea.”
He hummed as he approached you by the table. You were setting up the pancakes and tea that you ordered. “You remember, huh,” Tom mumbled softly as he watched you carefully set the teapot down.
“’course, I do.” You answered without hesitation. “You practically shunned me for drinking coffee that one time when you visited me on set.”
“Darling, you were on your third cup.”
“So? I needed caffeine.”
“If you needed caffeine, you could’ve easily had tea instead of your third cup.” Tom pointed out as he poured tea on his cup.
“Tea is for the weak,” You mumbled which earned a dramatic gasp from Tom.
“Take it back,” He said in disbelief.
“Tea is for the weak,” You repeated firmly just so you could annoy him even more, a smirk plastered on your face.
Tom pulled you in closer to him and started to tickle your waist, “I won’t stop till you take back what you said, Y/N”
You were squirming away from him, “Tom, stop,” you yelled in between giggles. “I might drop my pancakes, please.” You were trying your best not to tilt the plate and drop your food.
“Not hearing the magic words, Y/N” Tom teased in a sing-song voice.
“Okay, fine!” You gave in, laughing. “I take it back. Tea is great.”
“It is, innit?” He sighed in agreement, making you shake your head in amusement. “Don’t worry, darling, I’ll make you a great cup of tea.”
You started taking a few bites of your pancake before you sat on the edge of the bed, bringing your plate with you and had your complete focus on the screen. You and Tom were still watching Hereditary and you intend to finish the  film, even if the film is starting to creep up on you.
Tom sat beside you, “How can you eat and watch this?” He asked.
You just shrugged. “I’m hungry, nothing can stop that.” You took another bite before you offered Tom the pancakes. “Do you want some?”
“Give me a bite,” He opened his mouth in response, leaning closer to you.
“Do it yourself, you big baby.” You laughed, almost handing him the plate before you realized, “Oh, I don’t think they gave us spare utensils though.”
“I can use yours, I don’t mind.”
You offered him your plate but Tom, instead of grabbing the plate, insisted on opening his mouth, insistently asking you to feed him. “Tommy, why are you acting like an actual child?!” You were joking of course, however, you can’t deny that this whole new dynamic that you two were having was refreshing to the eyes.
“C’mon, darling. Just give it” He replied and had his mouth open once again. “I’ll take the flowers and pins off your hair while you eat-”
“Alright, fair enough.” You agreed since you were getting the higher end of the deal. With the amount of hair pins on your hair? You were hitting the jackpot.
“I’ll do it if you also feed me.” Tom added.
“Eh, whatever,” You shrugged and took another bite of your pancake.
Tom stood on top of the bed so he could sit behind you, definitely on board with helping you with your hair. He sat behind you with his legs crossed, setting a comfortable position for him.
You felt the slight touch of his fingers graze on your neck, as he brought all of the hair to your back. As he ran his fingers softly through the ends of your hair, it was enough to make you yawn. You love it when someone plays with your hair, which perfectly explains why you like going to the hairdressers.
Trying to fight off the drowsiness that was slowly taking over you, you figured you’d cut a piece off of your pancake and feed it to Tom. You sliced a piece off with your fork and hovered it over your shoulder.
Soon enough, Tom generously took the bite and carried on with removing the pins and flowers that were carefully placed on your hair.
The process was going on for a couple of minutes now: you watching and feeding Tom with your shared pancakes, and Tom willingly taking out the pins out of your hair.
It also wasn’t long when another jumpscare appeared on screen, making you jump subtly. Maybe it wasn’t subtle as you thought, since Tom was snickering behind you.
“What are you laughing at? Maybe you insisted on helping me with my hair so you can hide behind me because you’re scared too.” You pointed out, being petty and all.
“Am not,” He grumbled, slightly offended. “Maybe I do wanna help.” He then outstretched his legs, saying that he can feel his leg getting numb.
You started to feel bad, since he didn’t have any obligation to do any of it. “Tommy, it’s okay. You can stop now.” You said, twisting your body so you can take a look at him.
“What? No, you’re fine, my darling.” He said turning your body upright, making you face the television again. “S’alright, you’re alright.” He muttered softly and went back to your hair.
You mumbled a soft ‘okay,’ too shy to say something else. You kept taking turns with feeding Tom the pancakes and taking a few bites yourself. You weren’t gonna lie and tell people that this, this, time with Tom was suffocating because it’s not.
This was the first time you ever felt truly comfortable with him. It truly felt like you were spending time with someone you loved. However, that idea itself terrifies you. The idea made you feel like you were walking on thin ice and you know you’re bound to sink anytime soon.
“Tom, here, take the last bite.”
Tom gratefully took the last bite and said, “Thanks, darling. Now put that plate on the table so we can prop ourselves properly on the bed.”
You obliged and as you did, you heard Tom dusting off the bed. Walking back, you saw him look so restricted with his slacks and button ups made you feel bad. He also looked so exhausted which, obviously, made you feel even more bad.  “Tom, why don’t you just spend the night here?”
“I beg your pardon,” Tom cleared his throat. “Did you just suggest that I should spend the night here?”
“Y-yeah, I mean...” You trailed off. “You look exhausted and it would probably make me worry less if you did stay.”
“If it’s alright with you, then I wouldn’t mind.” He said softly, smiling.
You felt your cheeks burning and you really had to act fast. You remembered you wore your sweatpants earlier, as you were getting your hair and makeup done, and figured maybe Tom could fit in it.
“I’ve already worn this earlier but only while I was getting my makeup and hair done.” You pulled your black sweats out of your suitcase and offered it to Tom. “I’m not sure if it fits but it’s better than sleeping with slacks on right?”
“Are you trying to see me naked?” Tom smirked.
“W-what? No, you shithead.” You stammered. “I’m trying to make you feel comfortable. Also, if you are wearing nothing underneath then maybe keep the pants on and reevaluate why you went to a wedding without underwear?!” You popped off.
“Relax, Y/N, I was kidding.” He laughed, visibly amused at the look of distress on your face. “I’ll try it on. Thank you.”
Tom stood up and began unbuckling his belt. He was about to take his pants off when he gave you a teasing smile, in which you realized that you were staring. You turned around, absolutely embarrassed, and head soft chuckles from Tom.
“Okay, I’m decent.” Tom yelled, which you took as a proper signal and turned around, only to find your sweatpants fit snugly on Tom. “It’s a bit snug, but I think I’ll manage.” He commented as he also began unbuttoning his shirt.
You weren’t going to lie and tell people that you think that Tom isn’t fit. Because he is. He is very fit. His fans know that, you know that, everyone knows that. So, would they blame you if you stared at his fit body, absolutely flustered? Of course not, because they know.
However, what they don’t know is how hard you’re trying your hardest not to stare because, you of all people, know how you don’t like when people stare at your body.
“So, whaddaya think?” He turned around and lifted his bum, asking jokingly: “Too much?”
“Eh, it could be better.” You said, playing along.
“Oh c’mon,” He groaned in exaggeration, “People think I have a great arse.” Tom pouted while he returned to his position. This time he climbed up the bed, resting his back against the headboard, and had his legs spread.
“You know what? They’re right,” You said as you climbed up the bed as well and sat between his legs again. “You do have a fabulous ass.”
“Now, you’re just saying that to flatter me so I can continue removing pins from your hair.” He mumbled softly, feeling the return of his fingers back on your hair.
“Yeah,” you sighed in content. “I’m not letting you go until every hairpin is gone, babe.” You replied, not even thinking about what you were saying. Your eyes widened. Babe? You called him babe? Bitch, you’re losing it.
You heard Tom chuckle, “Oh, so I’m “babe” now, huh?” He teased.
“That wasn’t me, that was the exhaustion talking.” You mumbled shyly, a poor attempt to mask up an excuse.
“Right,” He drawled, obviously aware that you were just making up an excuse for this dubious slip up. “S’okay though, I liked it.” He whispered on your right ear, making you squirm as you found it ticklish.
“Why-” You whipped your head back to face him, “Why would you do that, I’m ticklish, Tom”
“’m sorry, I didn’t know.” Tom laughed, “Can you please call me “babe” again?”
“No.” You replied and just heard him let out an exaggerated sigh.
You two were busy bickering and being distracted by each other, that you didn’t know that the scene you two were watching was the last scene of the film.
“Huh,” You huffed. “Wasn’t expecting that ending.”
“What’s with all the butts?” He pondered out loud.
“I don’t know but I want that image out of my head. Do you have any movie suggestions because I know you don’t like horror.” You asked Tom as you scrolled through the movie selections once again.
Tom peered from behind you and rested his chin on your shoulder, “Oh, have you seen Coco?” He asked in suggestion, seeing the movie from the list.
“The Pixar movie?” You asked and he nodded. “Nope, I haven’t yet.”
“We should watch it then,” Tom said “It’s a great movie. I was in bits when I saw it and I was on the plane then.”
“Is it that sad?” You gasped as you clicked on the movie, waiting for the screen to finish loading.
“Oh, I was full on sobbing, darling.” He confessed, his chin still resting on your shoulder.
As soon as the screen finished loading, you hit ‘play’ and said, “Well, I’m about to let a movie ruin me then.”
You were right. The movie already ruined you and you two were only half-way through. Tom had finished removing all the pins and flowers from your hair five minutes after the movie started, so he had the chance to watch the film properly.
Tom is now lying down comfortably, though he was elevated enough to watch the movie properly. You, on the other hand, are cuddling Tom. You had your head rested on his chest while he had his arm around you, his chin merely touching the top of your head.
How he managed to trick you into this you ask?
“Darling, I think you should cuddle me.” Tom requested as he ran his fingers through your hair one last time. He just finished removing all of the hairpins that managed to cause you pain and suffering all day.
“Why?” You asked appalled, not meaning to ask it with such tone.
“Because I’m shirtless and I’m cold.”
“Then maybe you shouldn’t have removed your shirt?”
“But it’s uncomfortable.”
“I don’t care”
“Okay, then I’ll just drive back to my hotel then, even though I’m pretty exhausted. I’m sure nothing bad will happen.” Tom sighed dramatically.
“God, you really are an actor, huh.” You snorted. “Fine, I’ll do it. I used to cuddle my friends anyway.”
“Are you friend zoning me?” He gasped, as he laid down.
“You are despicable, Holland.”
As you were half-way through the film, you can’t even remember how much you’ve cried already. You could hear the soft sniffles from the two of you as the movie progressed.
Your sniffles turned into full-on sobs when Héctor’s scene came on screen. He was singing to Chicharrón as a final ode before he passed on with no one from his family that were able to remember him.
“What the fuck is this film,” You commented in between sobs. “Why are they trying to ruin me like this?”
Tom rubbed your arm back and forth on, trying to comfort you. You were going through your packets of kleenex at rapid speed, as did Tom. You weren’t expecting to cry this much but here you are.
Tom wasn’t kidding when he said he was in bits when he saw this film.
“Tom, do you think they’ll room service us some Kleenex if we asked?” You asked him honestly, tears still spilling from your eyes. You knew your nose was red too because it started to hurt as you were continuously wiping it.
Tom laughed softly, crying too “’m not sure, darling.”
You lifted your head to take a good look at Tom, finding his eyes bloodshot red from crying and tear marks still visible from his face.
You used your thumb to wipe the tears from his face, making him laugh. “Why are you crying this much? I thought you’ve already seen the film?”
He lifted his shoulder in a half shrug, “’m not too sure. I didn’t expect I’d cry this much too.” He managed to chuckle.
“We really need to call room service for some Kleenex, Tommy.” You sniffled.

part 2
Tumblr media
 summer 1909
The sun had been shining down on earth the entire day, making everyone sweat in the almost unbearable heat. It was the hottest summer you had experienced in a long time, but you finally had the chance to wear your pretty summer dresses again so you didn’t complain. Even though you prefered winter over the burning heat, you were sick of wearing heavy coats, warm socks and gloves.
But the fact that you could finally put on your favorite dresses again wasn’t the only reason why you slowly started to adore the hotness outside while every other citizen of Small Heath hated it more than anything else. Since the days got longer during summer, your overprotective dad allowed you to stay outside a few more hours than in the cold season which meant you could spend more time with your secret heartthrob without your parents getting suspicious.
Tommy Shelby.
The handsome man had stolen your heart months ago and ever since the two of you had tried to spend every free second together. You had met at Freddie Thorne’s birthday party last year. After drinking and dancing through the night together it had just clicked between you two and now you were inseparable.
You had become from strangers to best friends in just one night, but it was clear the two of you couldn’t stay just friends for a long time. Staring at each other’s lips a few seconds too long and using every opportunity to feel each other’s warm touch was nothing unusual for you both.
But none of you felt brave enough to admit that there was more than friendship between you two, too scared of a one-sided love and a broken heart.
Tonigt you would see Tommy again. Even though it had only been less than 24 hours since you had seen him the last time, you already missed him and couldn’t wait to finally get out of the house after dinner.
Time passed slower than ever as you sat at the table with your parents and tried to swallow the delicious food your mother had cocked, but you were too nervous and excited to eat, your stomach filled with butterflies.
You looked at the clock hanging on the wall in the kitchen every five seconds, counting the minutes until you could finally go and see the handsome Romani boy again. It felt like you sat in the kitchen with your parents for three hours, the soup in their porcelain bowls never emptying.
Once your father got up from his chair and carefully carried the dishes to the sink, you rushed into your room and grabbed a package of cheap cigarettes, trying to somehow hide them in your hands behind your back as you walked back to your parents.
“I‘m going for a walk, okay? I‘ll see you later,” you didn’t give your parents a chance to answer, quickly taking on your shoes and running out of the house without looking back.
You ran like your life depended on it, knowing you were already five minutes late and not wanting to let Tommy wait any longer. Your feet carried you through the neighbourhood down to the river, earning weird glances from the people on the streets, but you couldn’t care less.
You didn’t slow down until you finally arrived at your and Tommy‘s secret spot down by the river, trees surrounding the two of you and hiding you from the rest of the world. As quiet as possible you tiptoed towards Tommy who‘s back was facing you, trying your best not to make too much noise.
Tommy didn’t notice your presence yet, being way too caught up in looking at the cool water flowing past him in the river. The smoke of his cigarette surrounded the young, handsome man sitting on the green and soft grass in front of you, the smell of tobacco floating around in the air.
You carefully got on your knees behind Tommy and covered his ocean eyes with your hands seconds later without any prior warning, making his heart skip a beat and his hand wrapping around the sharp knife in the pocket of his trousers immediately.
His tensed muscles automatically relaxed as he heard your soft giggle behind him, the panic you had caused him slowly disappearing again.
“Hello, handsome,” you greeted him and left a peck on his cheek before you removed your hands from his eyes, sitting down next to the boy with a huge smile on your pink, kissable lips.
Tommy was speechless when he saw you. The yellow dress suited you perfectly and made you look even more beautiful combined with the pretty smile on your lips. He wanted to let his fingers run through your soft, shining (y/h/c) hair which always smelled like coconuts from a heavenly paradise.
And he wanted to feel your warm skin against his so badly, having the urge to find out the taste of your lips and getting more desperate to do so every day.
He stared at your beautiful appearance a few seconds too long, scenarios crossing his mind which he shouldn’t think about. The young man watched you lightning a cigarette between your kissable lips and taking a long drag from it, exhaling the deadly smoke from your lungs.
For the first time your eyes meet his this day as you looked at him, giving him the loving smile he had fallen in love with.
“You look beautiful,” he smiled, his cool fingers suddenly brushed over your cheek causing your heart to nearly jump out of your chest. There was already a firework of emotions going off in your whole body only because of a simple touch from Tommy, but you couldn’t help it.
Only his presence brought the butterflies in your stomach back to life, the handsome man shamelessly stealing your heart.
He quickly cleared his throat as he realised he had just complimented you out of nowhere, feeling slightly embarrassed and coming back to reality while he laid down on the grass underneath him. This time it was you watching him putting the cigarette between his lips and taking a long drag, relaxing his tensed muscles.
You stayed silent as you laid down next to him on the soft ground, turning around so you could face him while he looked up into the sky, unable to take your eyes off him. You didn’t know how, but Tommy had the power to even make smoking look incredibly hot and attractive. Even though you didn’t want it, you found yourself wondering what his lips would taste like, how they would feel against your naked lips.
There was a comfortable silence between you two for the following minutes, enjoying each other’s company while smoking your deadly cigarettes in peace. You treasured moments like this the most, they made you feel alive and free, wanting to stay there with Tommy forever and never return home.
“Would you like to go on a date with me?” he suddenly asked, still staring at the blue sky which slowly turned pitch-black above the two of you. Tommy had thought about asking you out for a long time now, but he had never been brave enough. He had been scared of getting rejected or ruining your precious friendship. Only the thought of losing you made his poor heart ache, but he had to ask you or else he would never find out if you felt the same way.
A part of him was relieved these ten words had finally left his mouth, but he felt like he had to throw up at the same time. Impatiently he waited for your answer, not daring to look at your beautiful face while you couldn’t stop staring at his handsome side profile. It took you a few seconds to realise what he had just asked you. Everything felt so unreal that you thought about slapping yourself in the face to find out if you were dreaming or not.
You had waited so long for him to finally ask you to go on a proper date with him, your heart almost explosed inside your chest. Tommy couldn’t survive your silence another minute so he took a deep breath, turned his face towards you and looked right into your (y/e/c) eyes. No words could’ve described how he felt when he saw the huge smile on your lips.
“I’d love to, Tommy”, you answered honestly and giggled as he took the last, long drag from his cigarette to calm down the anxiety which had built up inside of him. Before you even had the change to tell him how happy you were, he suddenly leaned over and placed one hand next to your head on the soft gras to steady himself while his other hand gently caressed your blushed cheek, his lips closer to yours than ever before.
You stopped breathing for a moment as Tommy pressed his soft lips on yours. Although it wasn’t your first kiss, you didn’t know how to act, scared of doing something wrong. You felt Tommy slowly pulling back immediately, because he started to feel like he had gone one step too far, but before he could do so, you dropped the cigarette between your fingers to the ground and took his handsome face in your warm hands, gently kissing him back.
A satisfied sigh left Tommy’s mouth, his heart beating so loud inside his chest he was sure you could hear it. The taste of smoke and your strawberry chapstick got him addicted to the feeling of your soft lips on his own in seconds. It was a gentle, but passionate kiss, your lips moving in sync.
Having the most attractive man in town on top of you, softly moaning your name against your lips, caused the butterflies in your stomach to fly around excitedly. It was better than you had ever imagined it to be.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, desperate to pull him closer which was nearly impossible. Even though the handsome man above you nearly took your breath away, you didn’t even think about breaking the kiss for a second. You had waited so long for this moment and now you wanted it to never be over.
A sudden raindrop on Tommy’s head made him flinch on top of you and quickly pull away. You looked at him confused, your eyes wandering down to his slightly swollen lips you already missed the taste of. He had no time to explain his action, rain unexpectedly pourring down from the almost black sky and soaking your clothes and hair.
The two of you looked into each other’s eyes for a brief second before Tommy leaned down and reunited your lips once again. A few raindrops wouldn’t stop him from kissing the girl of his dreams after he had waited way too long for it to happen.
You giggled and let your fingers run through his soaking wet hair. The two of you couldn’t care less about the heavy rain, drifting into your own little world and enjoying your passionate kiss, the addictive taste of your lips taking you to another dimension.
And when you came home that night, a huge smile on your face and the water dripping on the floor from your summer dress, you already missed Tommy and couldn’t wait to kiss his soft lips again.

HERE SHE IS
The full enemies-to-lovers, “You’ve Got Mail” Sobbe AU, sprinkled with a few little surprises ***
I was NOT playin around when I said I was going to write ALL the fics during this quarantine y’all ain’t ready
Hope you enjoy! <3 I’d love to know what you think (even if you hate it)
……
Robbe’s phone buzzed on his nightstand.
earthlingoddity: good morning
He smiled into the screen, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
sterkerdanijzer: already awake?
earthlingoddity: yep
earthlingoddity: had some early morning inspiration
sterkerdanijzer: r u gonna let me see what you drew this time?
earthlingoddity: nope
earthlingoddity: against the rules
Robbe sighed, shaking his head.
Rolling out of bed, he contemplated what to type in response. This back-and-forth had been going on for months now, always coming back to this: the rules.
Clearly, they could text all they wanted. But that was it: just text. No voices, no photos showing their faces, locations, or anything else personal. Like drawings, for example. Nothing personal.
But really, everything they had been doing, all they had been talking about, felt personal to Robbe.
Screw the rules, Robbe thought. Even just through texts, he’d gotten closer to this person than anyone else in his life. Their conversations often started at dawn and spread throughout the day, lingering into the night until one of them fell asleep.
Of course, he’d agreed to the rules at the beginning. Hell, he’d made them. It was just talking, nothing else. But the more they talked, the more he wanted.
….
In a weird turn of events, Robbe had met Earthling in the comments of an Antwerp street art Tumblr, where teenagers flocked to share and comment on their latest masterpieces. Masked by alias handles, no one involved in the group knew the identities of the others. When they met up to tag at a location, everyone wore masks, hoodies, and dark clothes. Then they rehashed their work online, sharing photos and comments before planning their next meetup.
Robbe, using his disguised handle, had commented on a photo, when a stranger named earthlingoddity had commented back. Robbe had laughed and responded. The two passed banter back and forth before finally moving to DMs.
earthlingoddity: so you’re an artist, then the stranger had written him.
sterkerdanijzer: no, definitely not
sterkerdanijzer: I’m just in it for the vandalism
earthlingoddity: Hahahaha fair enough
earthlingoddity: u live in antwerp tho right?
sterkerdanijzer: pretty sure we’re not supposed to share details, STRANGER
earthlingoddity: ;-)
earthlingoddity: youre right. but i mean, we are talking now. and we’ve probably already seen each other
sterkerdanijzer: yeah maybe
earthlingoddity: I probably would have recognized a vandal tho…
sterkerdanijzer: not a chance. you’re probably one of those uppity art hoes who makes his masterpiece and doesn’t even acknowledge the little people
earthlingoddity: so you’re short then
sterkerdanijzer: enough! no personal details
Earthlingoddity: ok, so no names, no locations, no personal details. Any other rules?
sterkerdanijzer: uhm
sterkerdanijzer: no phone calls. And NO pics of your artwork. I might recognize it
Earthlingoddity: so definitely no dick pics, then
Robbe had nearly choked at this. Even though their chatting had started as nearly nothing, it had rapidly become...something.  At least for Robbe. The past few weeks, their conversations had grown from occasional back-and-forths to constant communication, nearly-endless banter, and then...not-so-subtle flirting. Whatever was going on with this stranger, Robbe couldn’t bear to lose it.
…..
Once he was finally ready for school that day, Robbe grabbed his skateboard and headed out to the street. Before mounting his board on the sidewalk, he opened his last chat with Earthling, trying to muster the courage to send him the message he’d been wanting to for days.
sterkerdanijzer: what if we said screw the rules….and met up? Like IRL?
Robbe’s fingers hovered over the keys, trying to gather the courage to hit send. It was stupid, he knew, but he was so terrified of scaring this stranger away. For reasons he didn’t fully understand yet, he needed him. Assuming it was, in fact, a him. I guess it was bold of him to assume Earthling was a boy. And gay. He took a breath and kicked off, starting to roll down the street.
Then, out of nowhere, he was crashing, thrust back off his board and onto the ground as he collided with something. Or better, someone.
Ugh, he groaned. Slowly rising up, he grabbed his phone and bag, which had been expelled violently from the impact.
“What the hell, Robin?” the boy said, picking himself back up off the sidewalk where he’d fallen. “Why don’t you watch where you’re going?! Do you even know how to ride that thing?”
Brushing the dirt off his hands, he looked up, already feeling stiff aches form in his joints from the fall. Looking up, he groaned again.
Of course, it was Sander Driesen. He should have known immediately. No one else had the nerve to call him Robin.
Robbe rolled his eyes. “Maybe you shouldn’t be meandering in the middle of the sidewalk,” he threw back. “Pick a side and stay out of the way of people who actually need to get somewhere.”
Sander scoffed, dusting himself off and grabbing his bag, rearranging the now-disorderly contents inside. “Right, I forgot. You’ll be late for class,” he said, the words dripping with disdain. “Ahh, to be young and only concerned with high school drama.”
Oh, how Robbe hated Sander Driesen.
Clad head-to-toe in black, with a noisy leather jacket, combat boots and a shock of (badly) bleached-blonde hair, he was a walking cliche.
The two had grown up together, coexisting side by side in school and social circles. But the two could not be more different. Because of this, their relationship didn’t amount to much more than swapped insults in passing, tense confrontations, and merciless teasing. Now that Sander had graduated high school, their interactions were fewer. But for Robbe, that was still too often.
“So tell me, O Wise One,” Robbe  shot back. “If you’re so above all of us children, why are you still dating Britt? She’s not too ‘high school drama’ for you?”
Sander grimaced. “I’m not with Britt,” he said, almost clenching his teeth.
“Right, whatever,” Robbe said, ready for this encounter to be way past over. “I don’t give a damn about your personal life. In fact, I don’t give a damn about anything involving you. I have to go.”
He turned to leave, realizing he skateboard was still on the ground, rolled out of his reach, an end tucked under the heel of Sander’s boot. He smirked at Robbe.
“Oh, right. Your toy.” Sander rolled it back to Robbe, staring him down with an obnoxious smile. “See you around...Robin.”
Robbe grabbed his board and walked off in a huff, flipping Sander off as he passed. “Screw you, Sander.”
Rounding the corner, he stopped to steady his breathing. Why must his day be tainted with the influence of that fake blonde, edgy wannabe pyscho? Inhaling deep and taking advantage of his high tide of emotions, he pulled out his phone again, returning to his chat with Earthling. Do it, he told himself. Do it before you lose your nerve. Typing fast, he wrote:
Sterkerdanijzer: what if we said screw the rules….and met up? Like IRL?
He hit Send, waiting breathlessly.
Within seconds, three dots appeared. Earthling was typing.
……
The music was blaring, thumping against Robbe’s heartbeat. The crowd at the party was so thick that he was pressed up against Jens and Aaron, their combined heat making him slightly nauseous.
But all he could focus on was the neon glow of the screen in front of him, and in his mind running over and over the words Earthling had texted him hours earlier: Earthlingoddity: probably not a good idea.
Robbe had stared at it again and again, feeling that same nosedive in his stomach as he had when he first got it that morning on the street. He didn’t want to meet Robbe. So all of it had been...nothing after all. Deep down he’d known that. It was just talking. But it still felt like rejection. How could he so intensely have misread their connection? Even virtually, Robbe had felt the magnitude of it. Or so he’d thought.
All of this considered, he hadn’t been a very good wingman for his friends tonight. They’d dragged him to this party at Noor’s, scanning the room intently, looking for girls to pursue. Robbe just stood by, slumped and sipping lukewarm beer that just made his stomach turn.
Earthlingoddity: probably not a good idea he read again. Ugh. He was going to be torturing himself all night.
“Dude,” Jens elbowed him suddenly, or maybe just shifted, their proximity making it impossible to tell. “Dude, ten o’clock. That guy is totally checking you out.”
Robbe scoffed, not even bothering to look up. Gay guys at this party? He doubted it.
“Seriously, Robbe,” Jens pushed again. “He’s definitely staring. And he’s actually pretty hot.”
“Yep, totally,” Aaron agreed, nodding as he took a swig of his beer. “Definitely your type.”
“I don’t have a type,” Robbe sighed, finally tucking his phone back in his pocket and looking up. Shifting his gaze to his left, he looked in the direction the boys had indicated, trying to find a pair of eyes seeking his.
Whoa. Okay, so he was pretty hot.
Tall with messy brown hair, a boy with blue eyes was meeting his gaze. When the corners of the boy’s lips lifted in a smile, Robbe blushed, looking down. Now he looked desperate. Super.
“Go get another beer,” Jens said, shoving him forward. “See if he follows you. And act cool!”
“What? I—” Robbe protested, but the two were now pushing him together, forcing a parting of the crowd in front of them.
Robbe swallowed, palms starting to sweat. He wove slowly through groups and couples dancing, making his way to the kitchen. Inside he sought out more drinks among the counter full of bottles and cups. It only took a few moments before he heard it.
“Hey,” the voice behind him said, deep and raspy.
Robbe turned slowly, trying to swallow the dryness from his throat. The tall boy stood behind him, his beer dangling from two fingers. He leaned down to Robbe, putting his mouth close to his ear.
“I’m Nathan,” he leaned back again to look Robbe in the eyes.
“Uhm,” Robbe stammered. “I’m Rob-Robbe.”
“Hi, Robbe,” Nathan said, smiling. “Do you dance?” He took a step forward, dangerously close.
“Not if I can help it,” Robbe laughed nervously. The boy laughed too, revealing a set of perfectly white teeth and dimples. Robbe wiped a hand across his mouth, worried he was drooling now.
“Maybe another drink, then?” the boy asked. Robbe just nodded.
Nathan smiled and reached around to the counter, searching through the bottles. When he finally found an unopened one, he popped off the top easily, making Robbe’s stomach flip. So hot.
Nathan handed it to Robbe, smiling. As Robbe took it, their fingertips brushed together. Robbe looked down, blushing. Then, again, the boy’s face was leaning down. They were cheek to cheek.
“Want to get out of here?” he whispered, sending a wave of goosebumps down Robbe’s arm and spine. With a small nod, Nathan grabbed Robbe’s hand, leading him through the crowd.
…..
Outside, the air was much cooler, and Robbe felt like he could breathe again. The music blared from the door of the apartment building onto the street, but now it was just a dull throb instead of a deafening pulse.
Deep inhales of the outside air made his head feel lighter, his thoughts clearer...that is, until Nathan would brush his arm. Then he felt fuzzy again. With one arm leaning against the brick of the building, the other was casually touching Robbe’s every few minutes and Robbe could feel his knees going weak.
They had been talking for almost forty-five minutes and Robbe forgot how nice it was to talk intimately with someone he could actually be face to face with. Why had he even been bothering with Earthling? Clearly, that was going nowhere. Nathan, on the other hand, had potential. He was interesting, asking Robbe about his life and sharing details about his own. They talked easily, their touches getting progressively more frequent. Then, Nathan went silent, his gaze flicking down to Robbe’s lips. Robbe’s stomach was fluttering, licking his lips in anticipation. Nathan was leaning in, the hand against the brick sliding down to Robbe’s waist….
“Well, well well,” a loud voice behind him announced, breaking violently through their moment, causing the two to pull apart quickly. “If it isn’t my pal, Robin!”
Sander Driesen, in dark jeans and a white t-shirt, appeared next to Robbe, followed by Britt in tow. He looked from Robbe to Nathan, smiling widely.
“You have got to be kidding me,” Robbe muttered under his breath. Nathan looked confused, glancing from Robbe to the bleached-blonde boy.
“Robin?” he asked, biting his lip in bewilderment.
“Ignore him,” Robbe said, grabbing his shoulder. “C’mon.”
“Aren’t you going to introduce me, Robin?” Sander replied, cocking his head and raising his eyebrows at Robbe.
Robbe groaned. “Seriously, Sander,” he said, “Not now.”
“Oh, c’mon, buddy,” he gave Robbe’s shoulder a soft punch. “Introduce me to your friend,” the last work thick with implication.
Robbe rolled his eyes as Sander stuck a hand out to Nathan, who took it with a polite smile.
“I’m Sander,” the boy said. “Robbe and I….well, let’s just say we have a looooong history.”
Robbe glared at Sander. “We’re going now.”
As he was leading Nathan back down the street, Sander called out again, louder.
“We didn’t mean to interrupt the moment, love birds,” he said, smirking. “Carry on!” With a chuckle, Sander threw an arm around Britt’s waist and walked into the apartment.
A few feet down the sidewalk Nathan turned to Robbe. “Who was that?
“Nobody,” Robbe answered quickly, trying to turn the conversation anywhere but on Sander.
“It didn’t seem like nobody,” Nathan said quietly, rubbing a hand through his hair.  “Is he...an old boyfriend, or something?”
“What?!” Robbe near-shouted, stopping to look right at Nathan. “No. No. Not even close. He drives me crazy.”
Nathan bit his lip. “Look, Robbe. I should probably get going.”
“What?” Robbe said, his face dropping. “Because of him? You can’t be serious—”
“I was probably moving too quickly,” Nathan said slowly. “I’m sorry.” He gave Robbe a quick kiss on the cheek and walked away, turning the corner out of view.
…..
Robbe didn’t care who was spilling drinks or getting their feet stepped on. Plowing through the crowd with his elbows, he found his way into the party and back to Jens and Aaron, who were in the middle of telling a story to two girls bearing plastic cups and bored expressions.
“Uhm, hey guys?” Robbe said, tapping Jens on the shoulder. “I’m going to take off.” Jens turned, quickly motioning a be right back to the girls, who nodded vaguely.
“Wait, what happened with the guy?’ Jens asked eagerly. “Are you going to his place?”
Robbe frowned. “No. It didn’t exactly...work out.”
“Sorry, man,” Aaron said, slapping Robbe’s shoulder. “Want us to come with?”
Robbe shook his head. “Nah, you guys stay. I’m going to call it a night anyway.”
Finishing his goodbyes, Robbe ditched his bottle and stepped back out in the night air, now considerably cooler. Finding his bike, he started unlocking the lock when a voice behind him again shook him out of his thoughts.
“Headed home already?” Sander. Again.
Robbe whipped around on him, finding him alone this time.
“Seriously, Sander? Can you please just leave me alone?” Robbe said, almost whining now. “You already managed to ruin this night for me once.”
This sobered Sander a little, who swallowed and took a step forward.
“Robbe, I—”
“No, I mean it, Sander. Go back to Britt, who’s apparently not your ‘girlfriend,’” Robbe did air quotes, making Sander clench his teeth again, “and leave me the hell alone.”
There was silence for a moment before Sander spoke.
“I’m sorry, Robbe.”
Robbe shook his head and turned back to his bike lock.
“I was doing you a favor, okay?” Sander spoke, his voice insistent. “That guy seemed like a real douche.” Robbe scoffed. Seriously?
“I mean, did you see his hair?” Sander continued. “Total poser.”
Robbe laughed to himself. “Yeah, like you’re one to talk,” he mumbled back at Sander.
Sander smiled at this. “Touche.”
Robbe had his bike unlocked now and he started to wheel it down the street.
“See you around, Robbe.” Sander called out.
“Yeah, don’t count on it,” Robbe replied.
As he mounted his bike, his phone vibrated. A message.
Earthlingoddity: You know what, forget what I said. Screw the rules. Let’s meet. When? Where?
………
Robbe didn’t respond to Earthling’s message for several days. When he did, he wanted to come off cool, casual. He drafted and redrafted the same message in a hundred different ways. Finally, he sent back:
Sterkerdanijzer: Yeah, okay. I guess we can. I can do Friday at 18h. Drinks at Jardim Antwerpen?
He got a reply almost immediately.
Earthlingoddity: Absolutely. I’ll be there. Without a mask ;-)
So there he was, sitting at a table watching the sun go down, turning a near-empty glass in his hands over and over again in his hands. Even with the condensation from the glass, Robbe’s palms were clammy. He was so nervous he had to occasionally reach down to calm his shaking legs.
Milan had helped him pick out an outfit, a white linen button up and jeans. Zoe had mussed his hair until she insisted it was “perfect.” But he just felt ridiculous. Why was he even doing this? If he’d learned anything from the past few weeks, it was that he knew nothing. And he was probably going to be single forever. And for all he knew, Earthling would turn out to be a serial killer.
At 18h15, Robbe started to get antsy. He messaged the boy:
Sterkerdanijzer: I’m here. White shirt, brown hair. U close?
But he got no response. He bit his lip anxiously, checking his phone constantly. At 18h45, after he had downed one more drink than he should have, he got up. Leaving a tip on the table, he shoved his phone in his pocket and headed to leave. This was a ridiculous idea, he scolded himself. So stupid. Of course he wouldn’t show.
As he neared the exit, he saw a flash of white in his peripheral. Turning, he saw a boy sitting at a table alone, phone in his hand. Sander.
As if he’d spoken his name out loud, Sander looked up, green eyes glowing. He smirked. “Small world,” he called out to Robbe. “What are you doing here?”
Robbe glared at him. “None of your business. What are you doing here?”
Sander just looked at him for a minute. “I’m, uh...waiting for Britt. She’s supposed to be here soon. Were you waiting for a date?” His knowing smile made Robbe’s insides twist.
“Right,” Robbe said, nodding. “Well, I’m going to…” he turned again to leave.
“Uhm, actually, Robbe?” he called out. Robbe turned back slightly. What was he going to say now?
“Do you think I could borrow your phone to text Britt? Mine is dead.”
Robbe hesitated. Gone from Sander’s tone was any hint of teasing. He sounded genuine. He sounded desperate, almost.
“Yeah, fine,” Robbe seceded, walking over to Sander’s table and handing over his phone.
“Thanks,” Sander said, giving Robbe a small smile as he met his gaze.
Robbe stood there as Sander typed, concentrating hard on the screen. Waiting, he glanced around again. No sign of anybody new. No sign of anybody looking for him. He was so stupid.
“So, were you supposed to meet Nathan here?” Sander asked, not looking up as he continued to type.
“Why do you care?” Robbe asked.
Sander looked up. “I’m just making conversation. I hope it wasn’t him, though. You could do better.”
Robbe scoffed. “Okay, thanks for the tip, Sander.” He turned away again. ‘Cause Sander cared SO much about him. Right.
Then Sander stood, downing the rest of his drink. “Look like she’s not coming.” But as he handed Robbe back his phone, he didn’t look sad. He was smiling. Walking toward the exit, he turned back toward Robbe.
“You coming?” Sander asked.
“What, me?” Robbe asked incredulously.
“Uh, yeah you, Robin,” Sander laughed. “Let’s go.” Walking away again, Robbe stood there, mouth open.
“Come!” Sander’s voice reached Robbe again. He was probably too drunk to think straight because next thing he knew, he was following Sander’s silhouette into the sunset.
…..
“Sander, you cannot be serious,” Robbe stood obstinately away from the door, shaking his head at the boy, who was jiggling with the lock on a door, labeled boldly with a “No Trespassing” sign. “I assumed your plans were more drinks, not jail.”
Sander kept his hands on the door handle, but turned to face Robbe, a teasing grin on his face.
“Would you chill? We’re not getting arrested. I’ve done this a hundred times.”
“Yeah, ‘cause that makes me feel better,” Robbe retorted.
Sander just laughed and continued jiggling until click. The door squeaked open. He turned and raised his eyebrows at Robbe. “Come.”
Robbe shook his head again. He could not believe this. Not only was Sander trying to ruin his social life, he was trying to get him arrested. But Sander had disappeared behind the door, and finally, reluctantly, Robbe followed behind him.
Illuminating the stairs inside with the light on his phone, Sander led Robbe to the top, where he held his hands out in a ta-da! motion, so clearly pleased with this reveal.
Reaching the top and taking in the scene, Robbe’s jaw dropped. A large, open-air pool laid out before him, neon blue water rippling with the cold wind.
“No,” Robbe started, his voice escalating. “Sander, no. We are not—”
But Sander was starting to shrug out of his jacket, then reaching down to undo the laces of his boots.
“C’mon,” he whisper-yelled. “We’re doing this!”
“You’re insane!” Robbe yelled. “There’s no way I’m getting in that pool. We will die!”
Sander laughed as he lifted his shirt over his head. “We will not die, Robbe. Just come!”
Robbe just stood there in disbelief as Sander kept shedding clothes, not stopping at his briefs. In a blink of an eye, he was completely naked and running towards the pool, jumping in with a yelp.
Robbe’s jaw dropped. Sander was actually insane. And was his skin always that golden? And did he have abs?
Emerging from the water with a screech, Sander called out again.
“Robbe, come! It’s amazing in here!”
“No,” Robbe said defiantly. “No way.”
“You’re missing out, Robin,” he called out to him in a sing-song voice.
Robbe shook his head. “It’s freezing cold!”
“Yeah, it’s freezing cold,” Sander said. “But you have to do it. Get in! Now!”
Treading water, the light from the pool making his blonde hair glow neon, Sander waited for him, smiling.
Before he could think, Robbe started unbuttoning his shirt, dropping it on the concrete. Stepping out of his jeans, he watched Sander’s eyes roam across his bare chest. He swallowed hard.
Down to his underwear, Robbe started toward the pool, berating himself for giving into the demands of a pretentious — but weirdly captivating — boy.
Okay, that was clearly the alcohol talking, he thought, shaking the idea from his head.
“Hey, hey!” Sander yelled, stopping Robbe in his tracks. “All the way or no way.”
Robbe balked at him. Was he serious? He exhaled, biting his lip. Reaching down, he stripped off his underwear, now completely bare in front of Sander Driesen. He was going to regret this. But for now, he jumped into the pool.
He had been right. It was freezing. Easily the coldest water he’d ever felt. When his head exited the water, he yelped.
“Oh. My. God.” he squealed, teeth chattering. “I am going to kill you, Sander!” He splashed around violently, trying to keep his limbs from going numb.
“Dude, can you even swim?” Sander yelled, laughing.
Robbe splashed water Sander’s way. “Are you kidding? I can swim better than you any day!”
“Was that a challenge?” Sander quipped, circling around Robbe.
“Well, yeah, I think it was!” Robbe answered. “You scared Driesen?”
Sander smiled at him. “You’re on, Robin! First one to that opposite side of the pool wins! On three!”
“One….” Robbe started.
“Two….” Sander echoed.
Three!” They yelled in unison, taking off for the pool’s edge.
Robbe stroked, gasping deeply as he tried to find his stride. He was not going to let Sander beat him, no matter how drunk he was.
But when he reached the ledge, cheering in victory, he couldn’t see Sander. He wiped the water from his eyes, and looked beneath the water for Sander. He couldn’t see him anywhere.
“Sander?” He called out. “I totally kicked your ass!”
Still, nothing. Now, Robbe was starting to panic.
“Sander?!” His yelled, desperation creeping into his voice. He was about to call out again when Sander popped out of the water directly in front of him, so close, stealing Robbe’s breath and pinning him against the ledge.
“Sander, what the hell? What are you—” Robbe started, but before he could finish, Sander grasped the ledge behind Robbe, covering his body with his. Robbe felt Sander’s chest rise and fall against his as he tried to catch his breath.
“You won, Robin,” Sander spoke deeply.
Then, he was kissing Robbe, keeping one hand on the ledge, the other sliding down to Robbe’s waist, holding him in place. Sander’s hand was firm, making Robbe melt beneath him. Robbe reached back a hand to hold himself to the ledge and the other found the nape of Sander’s neck. Using his fingers, he pulled Sander towards him, then let those fingers tangle themselves in Sander’s hair. Feeling his pull, Sander kissed Robbe deeper, grasping at any part of Robbe’s mouth he could find, sliding down to his jaw and his neck, sucking the skin there. Whining, Robbe’s eyes rolled back. Sander found lips again, tugging on them gently. Robbe licked the soft skin of Sander’s lips and heard a gentle moan escape the boy’s throat. It was happening so fast. Their limbs and breath were tangling, mixing together in explosive energy that made them both weak.
He was kissing Sander Driesen. He was kissing Sander Driesen. When these words came together and made sense in his mind, he startled, shoving Sander off of him.
“What are we doing?” Robbe spoke, trying to catch his breath. “What are we doing?! This isn’t….we’re, we’re drunk!” His voice was rising, filling with disbelief and exasperation.
“Robbe, I—” Sander said, water dripping off his golden skin, tempting Robbe more than he wanted to admit. He approached Robbe again slowly.
“No, no,” Robbe said, reaching for the ledge and hefting himself out of the water. “This was a huge mistake. I’m drunk. We’re drunk. We shouldn’t have—”
“Robbe, wait!” Sander called, swimming towards the ledge and following Robbe out.
Robbe ran and gathered his clothes. “I have to go, Sander. Let me go.”
Sander stopped, a look of confusion and hurt painting his face. “Robbe, don’t….”
Robbe spun on him, his voice rising. “Don’t follow me, Sander. And don’t you dare tell anyone about this. Swear it.”
Sander just looked at him, lifting up his hands in submission. “I’m sorry, I swear I won’t—”
Then Robbe ran down the stairs, struggling to pull his clothes on over his soaking-wet body as he left Sander behind him.
……
Robbe had hoped that when he woke up, the whole night would have been a dream. A ridiculous dream that would have made him blush...and probably need to take a cold shower. But still, a dream. A dream he could forget about. But the pile of wet clothes on the floor and phone full of messages from Sander proved otherwise. He groaned, aching from the memory and the hangover.
His phone vibrated again and exasperated, he turned to silence it when he saw it — a message not from Sander, but from Earthling.
Earthlingoddity: Hey….I know that there is probably nothing I can say to you right now that will make up for what I did last night. I didn’t mean to stand you up. I promise. Something just...came up and I couldn’t make it. I promise it wasn’t you, okay. Please, please forgive me?
Robbe just stared at the message. As he did, another message from Sander came.
Sander: Robbe, please answer me. I’m sorry about last night. Can we please talk, face-to-face?
Robbe rubbed his face. What was he going to say to either of these people? Why was everything such a mess?
Kissing Sander last night...that had been the biggest shock to his system. Sander hated him. He hated Sander. That was their relationship. But in an ice-cold pool they’d entered some alternate universe and crossed a line. They were drunk. That was it. Right?
Robbe went back to the message from Earthling. Typing slowly, he sent:
Sterkerdanijzer: you were right. We should have never agreed to meet.
He got a response back almost immediately.
Earthlingoddity: No! No, it wasn’t a mistake. We should meet. I promise, something just came up that I couldn’t say no to. I want to meet you so bad. Please, can you give me another chance? I’ll do anything.
Robbe closed the message. Not now.
Taking another deep breath, he opened Sander’s message.
Robbe: Fine, we can talk. Come to my house in an hour.
Sander: I’ll be there.
……
After Robbe had showered and straightened up his room, he took a deep breath. He had no idea how he was going to survive this interaction with Sander, after all that had happened between them. They’d kissed. ALOT. They’d been naked, for heaven’s sake. Robbe groaned, flopping back down on his bed. What was happening to him? The world was turning upside down.
With that, there was a knock on the door. He could hear Jens shuffling to get it, but he raced to the door, sliding past Jens.
“I got it, I got it.”
Jens just looked at him, yawning. “What the hell?”
“It’s...it’s uhm...for me. I’ll get it.”
Jens stared blankly. “You’re being weird.” But he just went off towards the kitchen, yawning again.
Taking a breath, Robbe opened the door.
Sander stood there, his hair also wet, clearly brushed into submission. He had on a cream-colored sweater, which shocked Robbe. He looked good.
“Robbe. Hey.” He smiled, taking a deep breath.
Robbe just stood there, unsure of what to say.
Sander smiled again. “Soooo….can I come in or….?”
“Oh, right. Yeah, come in.” Robbe opened the door wider so Sander could enter.
Glancing towards the kitchen, where Jens was making coffee, glasses clinking, he motioned to the hallway.
“Let’s go to my room and talk,” Robbe spoke quietly.
“Sure, yeah,” Sander nodded. “Lead the way.”
Robbe walked hesitantly toward his room, opening the door for Sander. He entered, looking around.
“Nice place,” he commented, looking at Robbe with a wink. “Thanks for inviting me.”
Robbe smiled, feeling flushed all of the sudden.
Sander went and sat on the edge of the bed. Robbe followed.
Sander cleared his throat. “So, I know what happened last night surprised you. I know it surprised me.” He smiled to himself. “I just wanted to say that….I’m not sorry.”
“What?” Robbe looked up at him, confused.
Sander was firm, sure. “I said, I’m not sorry. For what happened. For kissing you.”
“You’re….not sorry….” Robbe repeated slowly, trying to understand.
“I wanted to kiss you and I did. And I don’t regret it. I know we were drunk, but I think you wanted to kiss me, too.”
Robbe felt heat rise to his cheeks. He spoke quietly. “Sander…it doesn’t make sense. We don’t make sense. At all. We are at each other’s throats constantly.”
“So what?” Sander asked, laughing. “Maybe what we thought was hate was just passion.”
“Passion?” Robbe choked. “Passion? We can’t stand each other! We drive each other completely crazy!”
“Well,” Sander began, biting his lip. “That, I guess, is true. You do drive me crazy. But not for the reasons you think.”
What?
“Sander, what are you—” but Robbe stopped as Sander turned towards him, sliding a hand to cup his jaw.
“You do drive me completely insane, Robbe,” he said gently. “But in a way I want to feel all the time. That kiss was….” he put his hands together over his head, imitating a mind-blown gesture, “pppppffffffeeeewww.”
Robbe’s lips were curling up in a smile he couldn’t hide. He felt warm. But something nagged at him.
“Sander, I can’t do this,” he admitted quickly, before he could stop himself. “I know this sounds silly and stupid, but….there’s someone else.”
Sander sat back. “Who, Nathan?”
Robbe shook his head. “No, not Nathan. You ruined that one, remember?” He slugged Sander’s arm.
“No, it’s….” Robbe put his head down, embarrassed. “It’s someone I don’t even actually know.” He covered his face in his hands. “I know, it’s so stupid. But I think I really care about this person.”
To Robbe’s surprise, Sander didn’t laugh. Or come up with some stupid insult. Or even seem surprised by his revelation at all.
“Okay,” he began. “So, who is he? Where did you meet him?”
“Well,” Robbe said, blushing again. “We met online. On a stupid street art blog. We talk through DMs all day, everyday. Yesterday, when we ran into each other, I was waiting for him. We were supposed to meet each other for the first time in person. But….he stood me up.”
“Hmmm,” Sander sounded. “Sounds like a real asshole.”
Robbe laughed. “He’s not, though! Sure, I was devastated that he ditched me...and then, we kissed...and, everything is just a mess.” He fell back on the bed again, hands over his face.
Sander was silent for a minute. “So did he apologize? For last night?”
Robbe sat up slightly. “Well, yeah. He messaged me again saying he was sorry, and that it wasn’t me.”
“So?” Sander asked, probing for more.
“So what?” Robbe asked.
“So, what are you going to say? Are you going to forgive him?” Sander asked.
“Well...I don’t know,” Robbe admitted. “I want to. You’re going to insult me mercilessly for the rest of time for saying this, but...I think Earthling is my soulmate.”
Sander grinned. “I’m sorry, who?”
Robbe laughed, embarrassed again.
“Earthlingoddity, it’s his handle. I just call him Earthling.”
Sander looked down at his lap, biting his lip to hide a grin.
“I knew you would make fun of me!” Robbe shoved Sander. “I knew it!”
“No!” Sander held his hands up innocently. “I’m not making fun of you! I think it’s cute. I mean, it’s a Bowie reference, he’s obviously got good taste.”
Robbe smiled. “Yeah, he does,” he said.
“So,” Sander continued. “If you think this guy is your soulmate, I think you should talk to him. Give him another chance.”
“What should I say?” Robbe asked. “Do I ask him to meet up again?”
Sander thought for a minute. “I think you need to give him an ultimatum. His last chance.”
“An ultimatum?” Robbe asked.
“Yep.” Sander said, scooting to sit cross-legged on the bed. “Take out your phone.”
“What, now?” Robbe asked incredulously.
“Yes, now!” Sander said firmly. “C’mon. Get your phone.”
Robbe shook his head. Of course, his rival, the guy he’d made out with last night, was now helping him attempt to snag a man. He officially understood nothing.
Taking out his phone, he pulled up Earthling’s message.
“So what do I say?” He looked at Sander.
“Just say….” Sander began, looking off in thought. “You hurt me yesterday. This is your one chance to make it up to me. Meet me tonight or we’re done with this. No more talking, no more messages. This is it. Your last chance” Damn. Looking at Sander once more, he typed it out. Taking a deep breath, he hit Send.
“Oh no, oh no, I sent it. What now. What if he doesn’t answer? What if he thinks I’m desperate?” Robbe rattled off, starting to hyperventilate.
Then, Sander’s phone buzzed. He pulled it out.
“Sorry, hold on a sec,” he said. “I gotta respond to this.”
“Sander!” Robbe whined. “Focus! I need you! If he responds, you have to help me!”
“Don’t worry. Robin,” Sander said with a smirk. “He will. And I will.”
Sander typed quickly, then put his phone back down on the bed. He was hiding another smirk.
Robbe glared at him. “Sander! Are you texting Britt right now? Should I remind you that we’re focusing on me right now? Or should I remind you that you kissed me last night? What is wrong with you?!”
Sander shook his head and rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t texting Britt, Robbe, calm down.”
But Robbe ignored this as his phone buzzed again.
“Oh my god, okay, it’s him,” he cleared his throat. “This is what he said.”
Now, Sander was laughing. Loudly.
“Sander!” Robbe whined again.
Sander tried to stifle a laugh with his palm. “Okay,” he tried to turn the laugh into a cough. “Right, I’m focused. Well, what did he say?”
Robbe swiped and opened the message.
“He said...I choose you, Robin. Always, one hundred percent, forever.”
Robbe’s phone fell in his lap as he looked up at Sander.
“Sander…..what kind of joke are you—”
Sander just shook his head and grinned. “Don’t call me, Sander. From now on, you have to call me Earthling.”
Then, Sander was crawling over to Robbe, pushing him back down on the bed.
Hovering over him, he spoke gently.
“When I saw you with Nathan at the party last week, I got jealous. You looked so hot and I knew I was starting to want you. It scared me. I knew you hated me. But I did. I wanted you. Trust me, Britt and I aren’t together. I just wanted to make you jealous. And that obviously backfired,” he said, laughing.
He continued to Robbe’s breathless stare. “Then I found out it was you I had been messaging when I borrowed your phone at the bar yesterday,” he said. “I saw the messages I’d sent you as Earthling. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe Robin was the boy I’d been talking to. The boy I’d been falling in love with, online and in real life. I was going to tell you right there, but you were so mad at me and so cute and I couldn’t resist trying to see if I could get you to fall in love with me, too. As Sander. And after that kiss, I knew what we had was real. Whether over text or in a freezing cold pool, it was real.”
Robbe blinked in disbelief. Was he really hearing this? It wasn’t some colossal joke Sander was playing on him?
“Sander….” he said carefully. “Is that true? Is that really—” but before he could finish, Sander was kissing him again, winding a hand into his hair, immersing him completely, deeply into him.
It was true.
.....
So, telling their friends about their relationship had been interesting.
First, Jen had walked in on them, sloshing coffee all over himself when he saw Sander pulling off Robbe’s shirt. That had been a hard one to explain.
But the weirdest part was that no one had really seemed surprised. Sure, Jens was taken back initially, but as they sat in the kitchen sharing coffee (after Robbe had reclaimed his shirt and gotten dressed), Robbe sitting on Sander’s lap, Jens had smiled at them like a proud dad.
You’re like yin and yang, he’d said. Somehow you two just fit.
And they did. In so many ways. Their minds, their souls, their bodies...
They just fit.

Tumblr media
When it seemed like the world was slowly falling apart it was good to have a friend by your side. The only real friend you had was Scott. You two had known each other for only a year but that was all it took for you to become best friends. Scott knew everything about you and he knew how hard it would be on you if you had to be on lock-down alone. Scott knew you’d lose your mind and then it would be really hard for you to get back on track after it all ended. So he offered you to stay with him, but the thing was, Scott wasn’t staying at his place. For the time being he had moved in with his brother Chris. Knowing this you told Scott you didn’t want to inconvenience his brother. But after some convincing and hearing Chris himself tell you over the phone that he was perfectly fine with it, you said yes. Still being a little worried about being around Chis and how it would go you pack up some of your stuff and moved in with the Evans brothers. Deep down hoping it wouldn’t be for too long.
First few days you did your best to stay out of Chris way.  He was a privet guy and you were a stranger to him, so you mostly stayed in the same rooms and didn’t walk around too much. You’d ether be in the room he had given you for the time you were there, or you were in the living room watching movies or cooking in the kitchen, but always with Scott by your side. You had made sure to never be alone in a room with just Chris. Fearing you’d make him uncomfortable in his own home. You also didn’t talk to him that much, just when it was necessary. The small talks you did end up having with Chris were great you even made him laugh and not just a chuckle, but an actual belly laugh. Even with that you gave him privacy as much as you possibly could.
Scoot wasn’t a fool, he knew you and knew that you were acting weird when ever Chris was around. Sometimes your true personality slipped out, that usually happened when you all were ether watching movies or playing games. You’d get so relaxed and comfortable you’d start making the same jokes as you would if it was just you and Scott. Chris seemed to enjoy you humor and would join in, but soon the realization of where you were and who you were around kicked in and you went back to the shy you. A lot of times you hated that you were like that, you hated being the other you. The weird, shy you wasn’t who you were at least not anymore. Scott had helped you become more comfortable with being yourself and not caring what other people thought. But when it came to Chris you were afraid, afraid he might think you were too weird, too talkative, too any bad thing he could possibly think about you.
As days went on you started to let go of your shyness and open up a bit, but still you made sure not to stay in a room alone with Chris for too long. Especially in mornings were your brain wasn’t fully awake yet. Just like this morning. You had woken up before everyone else and stood in the kitchen with your coffee, just breathing in the smell, trying to wake up as fast as possible. Few moments later you heard movement around the house. You closed your eyes and prayed it was Scott, but when a door opened and you heard Dodgers nails scratch against the floor you knew it was Chris. “shit” you said under your breath. You opened your eyes right was Chris walked in
“Morning” he said with a smile. Another thing about living in his house was that no matter what time of the day it was or what he was doing Chris always looked good, really good. Adding the raspy morning voice it just made a girls knees go weak.
“Morning” you pushed the words out of your throat. Dodger came up to you saying his good mornings and walked back to Chris who was now walking to the door that lead to the back yard. You took this opportunity and quickly got out of the kitchen and went to your room. Chris let out his dog and turned around, expecting to see you there and ask you how’d you sleep, but as always you were already gone. He let out a long sigh and went to make his own morning coffee. Small part of you wished you had stayed, but you weren’t too confident in your ability to speak to him this early in the morning. Before you could reach the room, Scotts door opened
“Good morning (Y/N)” he said brightly making you role your eyes. As always the happy, smiling Scott no matter the hour. He looked at your steaming cup of coffee and snickered “let me guess. You were in the kitchen enjoying your coffee when Chris walked in? So you made a run for it?” you wanted to deny it and tell him he didn’t know everything about you, but that would just be a waist of time. So you just nodded.
“I’m a wuss” the truest words you had spoken in weeks. Scott turned you around by your shoulders and led you back down the hall
“Yes, yes you are” he led you back into the kitchen where Chris was now enjoying his morning beverage . The brother greeted each other, you just stood there awkwardly. Chris gave you a quick look while drinking his coffee, what you didn’t see him smiling behind his coffee cup. What you also didn’t know what all he was thinking about was how cute you looked that morning.
“I’m gonna go keep Dodger company” not waiting for an answer you walked to the back yard,
“That’s a good idea” Chris said and walked after you “it’s a beautiful morning, we should enjoy it” you went out and sat in one of the patio chairs and Chris sat in the one right next to you. All you did was look at Dodger who was running around catching butterflies, but when he noticed Chris was there he ran to him. You couldn’t help but smile at the relationship those two had. It was so pure. Dodger trusted Chris and loved him a lot, you could see it in his eyes. Son Scott joined the three of you and you all sat there in silence for a bit, enjoying the sun.
“hmm, forgot to tell you. I’m gonna go visit Jeremy today, so I might not be back today” Scott said looking between you and Chris. This would be the first time you and Chris would be alone in the house, with Dodger of course but no Scott, the buffer. The safety zone and that scared you.
“Are you sure that’s a good idea with everything that’s going on?” you asked giving Scott a look pf please-don’t-leave.
“Yes, both Jeremy and I have been staying in. No outside connections. And I’ll be going from here to the car to his house and the same way back. No stops, nothing. So don’t worry. I’ll be fine” Scott said with a smile “that is what you were worried about, my health right?” he was pushing your buttons and deep down you felt as if he was leaving just to force you to stop being weird around his brother. With a glare you replayed
“Yes, I’m worried about you and your health. Nothing else” Scott couldn’t stop smiling, he knew what this information was doing to you and he really enjoyed it.
“He’s gonna be fine (Y/N)” Chris said placing a hand on your knee and that woke up the butterflies in your stomach. There were other things being said around you, but you didn’t hear a thing. All you thought about was your knee, that was now worm from his touch and also that you and Chris were going to be alone in the house.
It was silly, it really was. But when Scott left you pretty much locked yourself in your room. All you did was watch videos on your phone, read and sleep. You didn’t even go out to eat lunch or dinner, mostly because you had sneaked snacks in your room. It was stupid to hide in your room. Some moments you thought about walking out and seeing what he was doing, but got scared. You were afraid to say something stupid and silly, and make him not like you or even hate you. You just didn’t want to make a fool out of yourself, so your best choice was to stay in those four walls and hope the day goes by fast and Scott is back.
Chris noticed that you hadn’t left your room since his brother left and he couldn’t help but feel a little upset and a bit hurt. He did think to go check on you and see if you were okay. Chris would go to your door and hear you watching videos, sometimes laugh, to him it was clear you didn’t want to be around him. So he spent his time working and going for a run, just trying to make himself not think about you being in your room and not talking to him. Chris just wanted to get to know you, but also didn’t want to step over some boundaries you had placed. He wasn’t dumb, he saw how you were when he was around and how different you were when it was just you and Scott. He’d sometimes hear your laugh from his room and couldn’t help but smile. Chris would quality walk out of his room, stand in the hall way and watch you. The way you’d laugh, make jokes. He had to keep himself from laughing out loud when you’d make a joke or a face at something Scott had said. Every time he wished you’d be the same way with him. Sometimes he found himself lucky and he’d be the recipient of your jokes, smiles and laughs. He’d  be happy to be able to talk to you and joke around, but something would happen and you’d go back, you’d crawl back into your little shell. Chris just hoped that before the quarantine was over he’d get at least one day of your full attention, laughs all the great stuff Scott would get.
For you the day went by extremely slow even with all those naps. Soon darkness took ever the city bringing you some relief, knowing the day was over and soon Scott would be back. Looking at the time you also knew Chris was probably in bed ether already asleep or watching a movie. Ether way you could go out of your room. As quietly as possible, took a couple of seconds to listen to the surroundings, making sure the house was quite and it was. Usually other people at this time would be asleep or at least on their way to bed, but since you spent your day in bed you were wide awake. You managed to make yourself a big cup of tea without making too much noise, the only some what loud noise you couldn’t control was the kettle but that wasn’t too loud but you did take a few seconds to make sure you didn’t hear Chris coming or Dodger barking. When it was still quit in the house you quickly went out side and sat down at the bench by the fence. The further from the house the more noise you could make, but you weren’t doing anything that could make noise. You just sat there, with your tea in hands and looking at the stars. In the recent days you were able to really see the stars, so you liked to sit our side and look at them, hoping one day you’d see a falling star or something else interesting.
While you sat outside enjoying the weather, Chris laid awake in his room thinking if he should go outside and see you. Even though you had done a great job at not making that much noise Chris still heard you. Mostly because he wasn’t asleep, he couldn’t fall asleep. It didn’t take him long to push the covers of and jump out of his bed and walk out. He thought that this could be his only chance to talk to you, alone. At first he looked for you in the kitchen where he last heard you, not seeing you there he looked in the living room, thinking maybe you were watching tv but there was no sign of you. Chris thought that you probably went back to your room and he had missed his chance, as he was turning around to go back to his room, he saw the back yard door was slightly opened. For a fact, Chris knew he closed the door, so that only meant you were there, but yet again when he walked out he didn’t see you. For a brief moment he panicked, thinking you might have left all together, walked out into the dark night. As panic was starting to set in, from the corner of his eyes, he saw a figure sitting, your figure with a steaming cup in your hand. Relived he slowly made his way towards you.
You on the other hand were too busy looking at the stars you didn’t notice him closing in. Until he was close enough to cast a shadow, seeing the dark figure you freaked out and jumped a bit, spilling some tea right as you realized it was just Chris
“Shit” you said out loud “you scared the living daylights out of me” Chris let out a small chuckle
“Sorry,” he said as he sat down next to you “can’t sleep?” he asked leaning back in the bench and looking up at the stars just as you were doing before he scared you.
“Yeah, thought some fresh air and tea would help” you answered without stuttering, making yourself happy for not making a fool out of yourself, yet.
“Yeah, I guess staying in your room all day to avoid me does have some side effects” his sentence made you stop breathing for a moment, you looked at him and Chris was already looking at you with a small smirk, you wanted to tell him it wasn’t true or that you didn’t feel well, but Chris spoke before you could “and before you say that’s not true and come up with a lie, I know it’s true. I’m not dumb or blind. I see the difference between how you are with me and Scott” as he talked his smile went way and you could feel the hurt in his words. Right then you’d take anything even being a fool in front of him over being the one who hurt his feelings. So many excuses and lies went through your mind, but there was no point, Chris didn’t deserve to be lied to.
“I’m sorry” it was time to stop being a wuss and face he truth. Chris nodded at your apologize as if he was accepting it “I really am. I’ve just been afraid to be an inconvenience to you” Chris opened his mouth to probably tell you he already said that that wasn’t true and that he didn’t mind you being there, but didn’t let him speak “or to make a big fool of myself. You know say something stupid or do something stupid. Exhibit A I spilled tea on myself.” you said pointing at wet spot on your hoodie and laughed a bit at yourself. Chris chuckled
“Technically that was my fault, I spooked you. I probably should have come up to you like a creepy man” you looked at him and smiled, it had been a long time since you had looked at him for that long. “and it’s impossible for you to make a fool of yourself or be an  inconvenience. I like it when you joke around. I like it when you are you. I haven’t had the actually honor to be around that much when you’re being yourself, but I’ve seen it from afar, when I’m looking at you from the hallway” Chris took a pause in his sentence jut looking at you “I know realize I’m a very creepy man. I should stop being creepy, that’s probably why you don’t want to be around me. I don’t blame you” you both laughed at his words. sitting there with him and laughing felt so right and you actually had missed him. Even if it had been just a day, you missed this man.
“No, I don’t think you’re creepy. I’m just unsure about myself and the personality I have” finally you were honest with Chris and he liked it. He liked that you were opening up to him, he especially loved that you were actually looking in his eyes.
“Don’t be” Chris turned himself so he was facing you more “I love your  personality. You say what’s on your mind, you make jokes, sometimes silly jokes, but I like’em, you’re real. “ luckily it was dark out, because if it wasn’t Chris would be able to see your red cheeks.
“Thank you” for few seconds you two just looked at each other, smiled and enjoying just being there. “I’ll stop being weird and hiding in my room, i promise” Chris was happy to hear you say that. It really brought joy to his heart, just imagining how it was going to be from now on.
“Great, “ Chris said placing a hand on your knee and giving it a light squeeze “and I promise to stop being creepy at least I’ll try. I mean I didn’t even know I was doing it” he said throwing his hands in the air and shaking his head.
What ever Chris had imagined the future was going to be like after that evening, where you two spent the whole night talking and laughing, came true. From that night you and Chris became very close. Every morning you two would wake up at the same time and sit outside talking, making plans for the day. There were no more awkward moments, just pure joy. Chris and you were getting so close Scott started to get a bit jealous, since you were his friend first. He’d sometimes go into the living room and find you two on the couch watching a movie while holding each other. You’d ether be laying on his chest or Chris had his arms around you and your head on his shoulder.
Both you and Chris, also Scott who actually noticed before the two of you did, were developing feelings for each other. With every look, small touch to Chris just always finding a way to hold you. It was ether while watching movies, or while you were cooking or just standing and talking. His arms would find their way around your waist or shoulders. Soon he started to kiss your cheek more and more often. You loved all of those moments and your thoughts about this  quarantine had changed. At first you wished it would be over fast, but now you wished it never ended. You didn’t want those touches and kisses to end and Chris felt the same. Every time he was going to sleep he’d hope to get another day. Another day of your laughs, hugs, the feeling he got when you’d look in his eyes or how great and just right it felt to have you in his arms.
Most of all Chris hoped to man up and just tell you how he felt, and he hoped you you would feel the same way about him. In a way he felt you did, he saw how you looked at him. The way you’d lean into his hugs or when he’d kiss your cheek, how you’d blush a bit. He just hoped he wasn’t wrong in the things he saw. Hope was all he had at that point.

hi baby!💚okay... IF you r comfortable w this subject... what about... seb was filming (something) in (anywhere) (lots of details, i know) right before quarantine, the reader (seb's friend) that lives in that city was really worried abt him getting on a plane, airports and all.. and asked him to wait like a week to come back to ny (in her house obv) a week later its announced the quarantine, all the chaos, now theyre stuck together and some.. feelings or needs.. are really taking a toll on them
Hi, babyy! I’ve actually been thinking about this a lot lately! Thank you so much for the request!  This must be the fluffiest smut I’ve ever wrote? I’m soft... Hope you like it!
---
The news were scary. You had no idea it would get a lot worse, but still, you didn't want your best friend to get sick. He had just finished his latest movie and didn't have any new projects for now. So you insisted for him to spend just a few more days at your house, only until the situation was back to normal. Of course you didn't have to beg that much. You and Sebatian were childhood friends and his crazy career never allowed you two to have fun like the old times. What you didn't know was that at some point it wouldn't be a choice anymore. The airports closed and he couldn't go anywhere, not even if he wanted to. At first, you felt absolutely terrible. Like you forced him to stay there with you, instead of being home. But he was grateful. He would lose his mind if he had to go through all this on his own, and both of you couldn't ask for a better company. It was all about playing games, watching movies, dancing to 80's soundtracks, eating cereal at 2am cause time is an illusion... And there was this one day when it was your turn to pick the movie. "The covenant." You gasped. "I would personally rather die." Sebastian rolled his eyes. "What?" You laughed. "It's a classic! Come ooon! For the memories... I remember visiting you on that set. And we used to party a lot with those boys and..." "Fine." He tried to hold back his smile and the fact that he knew it would actually be fun. "I always do everything you want anyway." "Cause you're the best friend in the world." You said as you searched for the movie on your laptop. Half a movie later, you two already had tears on your eyes from laughing so much. Back in the year it was released, you used to thing those special effects and the acting were AWESOME. But now, it was hilarious. "God, why are you doing this to us?" Seb rubbed his eyes in pure shame. "Sebastian..." You tried to sound disappointed. "You just don't get it... the idea of living in such an aesthetically pleasant dark place with your girl friends and each one of you have a wizard boyfriend??? Fuck, my heart can't take this, I'm numb." "You're so dramatic." He laughed out loud. "It's true, though." You shrugged. "That movie is hot as fuck if you ignore a few things..." "Hot?" He mocked. "Didn't know you were into these weird stuff." "I'm into a lot of weird stuff." You admitted. "Like what?" He asked, kinda seriously now. "You don't want to know." You blushed a little. "Come on..." He insisted. "What if this is the end of the world?" "What exactly are you suggesting?" You raised your eyebrows. "That we should totally fuck cause the world is ending and you have no better options?" "I didn't say that." He tried to hold your arm, but you stood up quickly. "I'm going to bed, I'm really tired." You told him. "No, don't go to bed mad at me, let's talk, please." He stood up too. "Goodnight, Seb." --- You were laying in your bed and Seb was on the guest's room. You used to call it his room, cause he visited you whenever he could. But neither of you could sleep. You kept thinking about how Sebastian had changed and you never noticed. All you knew was that your Seb would never even think of using you like that. And Sebastian was thinking about how stupid he was. Something he never told you was that all his previous relationships ended because of you. There was a certain time when his exes would get jealous of you, but he always picked you ever them. And every single time he broke up with a girl, he promised he would finally tell you how he felt about you. But he was afraid. He was afraid of forcing you to deal with the media, it was his job and he still hated that part, he didn't want you to go through that. He was afraid you would say yes and, because of the distance or whatever could happen, he would never be the man you deserved. He was afraid you would react like you just did. In all these cases, your friendship would be ruined, and he couldn't stand being without you. --- When you woke up, you felt terrible. Not only because you barely got three hours of sleep. But also because you knew you couldn't hide in your bedroom forever. You had to go out, carry on with your life... but Sebastian was somewhere out there at this very moment, and you didn't even know how you'd be able to look at him. When you finally gathered all your strength to get dressed and go to the kitchen, you saw Seb on the sofa. He looked at you and you could see he didn't sleep much better than you. "Morning." You gave him a weak smile. "Y/N." He ignored your greeting. "Can I talk to you now, please?" You sighed and sat beside him on the sofa without saying a word, just ready to listen. "I'm so so sorry for what I said last night." He started. "You know I didn't mean that." "How would I know?" "Well... you know me..." He was clearly cofused. "I would never treat you like some... I don't know, you're too important to me." "Yeah, I didn't recognize you." You admitted. "But it was you. It's not like you were drunk or something like that." Silence. "If you want me to leave, I can find another place to stay." He suggested. "Of course not. It's dangerous." You sighed. "Y/N." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I have to tell you something, okay? Since everything is fucked up already... I just want everything to be very clear around here." You were a mix of surprised, confused and scared. He was about to tell you something big, but he wasn't nervous. He looked relieved. "Listen." He turned to you and looked deep in your eyes. "I'm in love with you. Fuck... I've been in love with you since we were teenagers. I don't remember going through a single day of my life without thinking about you. I know I dated other girls, but not one of them was half as funny and half as beautiful as you. But I know I waited so damn long to tell you this... it's probably too late now." As subtle as a punch in the face. You couldn't say anything at the moment. You had feelings for him too, but... he was a famous actor surrounded by all those gorgeous actresses and models, while you were just a normal girl. Besides that, you had the same fears as Seb, that this could ruin everything. "I love you too." You almost whispered, fighting back your tears. "What are we gonna do now?" He sighed. He always dreamt of hearing you saying that. But definitely not with tears in your eyes and barely looking at him. "I don't know. I need some time to think." You said. "But don't leave, please." "Okay, darling." He smiled at you and caressed your cheek, making you look at him. "You have all the time in the world. I'm not going anywhere, I promise." --- It was the longest day ever. You spent it alone in your room and Seb on his. And it hurt so much, because the last days were so fun, and suddently, all the joy disappeared. You knew that's how your life would be without Seb. The night came and it was impossible to sleep again. You daydreamed of all possibilities. You and Seb being happy. Laughing. Holding hands. Kissing. Sometimes you were haunted by images of it all going terribly wrong. Camera flashes. Other girls. Him leaving. Coming back. Forgiving him. Those lips... hands firm on your waist, or gentle on your face, just like they were earlier... no. Definitely firm on your waist. You needed them like that now. Your hands on his back. Fuck, his back. He was so hot. Your body shivered. You wanted him so bad. And he was right there... so close... You looked at the clock and made a decision. It was 2am. You would knock on his bedroom door. If he was asleep, you would consider that as a sign to forget all that. If he was awake... then you'd see what would happen. You walked slowly. Changed your mind three times on the way. Shit. The door was half open, that wasn't part of the plan. Maybe you should give up and... "Y/N?" He called. He was sitting on the bed and could see you standing there like an idiot. You took a deep breath and walked in. You stood beside his bed for a moment. The part of you that hoped you would change your mind gave up as soon as it saw how soft he looked with his messy hair and old shirt. Now there wasn't a single cell in your body that didn't want to call him yours. You sat beside him, ready to say something. But you didn't plan that part either. You didn't plan that he would look at you with those beautifully confused blue eyes and lick his lips the way you loved. "Kiss me." You asked. Seb leaned towards you slowly. He didn't close his eyes until his lips touched yours. He wanted to make sure you wouldn't give up. As soon as you felt the warmt of his mouth, you melted. Your arms automatically went to his shoulders, gently bringing him closer. It started to get deeper. You pulled him closer and closer, until he was laying on top of you. Everything was always so natural between you and Seb. When he realized how far things went, your legs around his waist and his hand under your shirt, he broke the kiss. You two looked at each other and laughed. You had never felt that comfortable in your life. He closed his eyes and was about to kiss you again, when you whispered against his lips: "Make love to me." He left a little "Fuck" escape in return. You stood like that. Lips barely touching. He allowed you to take his shirt off. "Are you sure?" He said as if it was too good to be truth. "No." You chuckled. "But we're always together when I make stupid decisions, have you noticed that?" Before he could say anything in return, you removed your shirt and guided his hand to your boobs. He started to kiss all the way from your neck to your naked chest as his hands worked on removing your pants. He looked at you one more time to make sure it was okay, before removing your panties as well. "Fuck, Y/N..." He said as his lips returned to your neck, filling it with lovebites. "You're so fucking beautiful." "Sebby..." You moaned. "Please. I need you." He nodded and pulled his pants and underwear down, throwing it somewhere in the room. His hands gently touched the inside of your thighs, pulling them apart so he could position himself between them. He entered you slowly and it felt like heaven. You never realized how bad you wanted him for all this years until this very moment. And while he made love to you, you felt nothing but the purest happiness. It was slow, passionate, filled with laughter, and whenever he hit your spot just right, the smiles would be replaced by a few swears, but when your eyes met, you'd smile again. In the end it got faster and messier. Moans filled the room. Seb's name on repeat, it was the only word you could remember. When it was all over, two rounds later - cause you were too sore for more - he held you so tightly, cause he wasn't dumb enough to let you go ever again. "Can't believe we wasted all this time." He said as he spread kisses all over your face. "Can't believe you had to be LOCKED in my house to realize that." You mocked him. "Even if the quarantine is over tomorrow, you're not getting rid of me." He shrugged.

when were you diagnosed with t1d?
Ok, so storytime! Short answer is, as of today, barely over two months ago.
(Very long post warning y’all, contains hospital mention and extensive, possibly upsetting descriptions of health conditions, specifically DKA)
My family doesn’t really have a history of T1D or even T2D, though my second-cousin-once-removed has had T1D for over a decade now. So, there was never any reason for me to try and get tests done for it. The only sign I really had up until last semester was two copies of a variant of an HLA gene that I knew about from a 23andMe report (which, according to the report, put me at a higher risk for celiac’s and nothing else), but of course at that time I had no idea that that could mean anything serious; after all, that sort of thing only happens to other people, right?
My college started in-person classes in the latter half of August. By October, I started feeling tired, having a lack of appetite, and needing water very, very badly. I actually went to my school’s clinic, and my erratic heartbeat prompted the doctor to recommend me for a Covid-19 test. My school’s protocols meant that I had to quarantine at my home (since I live within two hours of campus) until I got a negative test result. At home, I was drinking water all the time and sleeping constantly, and my parents had commented on how I’d been losing weight. I thought these were all good things. I had been slightly overweight at my high school graduation, and I’d always heard that drinking a lot of water is good for you, so I thought I was actually in excellent health even if I kind of felt like shit most of the time.
Well. Uh. I was wrong.
When finals came around in mid-November, I was just fucking tired. I’d get a decent eight hours of sleep and still have to take naps during the day. Hell, I was even late for work because I slept through one of my nap alarms. Studying was a pain in the ass. Attending classes was a pain in the ass. Staying awake for Zoom classes was a pain in the ass. I was waking up at 5 am to go to the bathroom, and then I would drink the rest of my water, refill it, drink half of it again, and then go back to sleep. Finally, November 20th rolled around, and I got to leave campus. It was my birthday (yeah I am a Scorpio and that weirds all of my friends out lol), and my parents took me to Fusion. And I just...couldn’t eat at all? I love hibachi, but I couldn’t even eat half of my food. The chef even got me a delicious banana split that I had to basically bully my younger sister into eating with me.
For the next week, I was sleeping about 18 hours a day. I didn’t think this was weird because I’d just had finals so yeah, it makes sense that I would be tired after exams and whatnot. I went shopping with my mom, sister, and sister’s bff. We were only out for a few hours, but I was fucking wiped out y’all, like in pain. Thanksgiving arrived, and again, I love food, I love eating, but I was not hungry in the slightest. I basically had to force myself to eat some of my favorite holiday foods just so I wouldn’t offend my mom, and then I didn’t eat for the day.
The very next morning, I was puking my guts out.
This started a pattern for the next few days: I would eat chicken noodle soup or some other food, sleep like the dead, and throw up every morning and every night. I started chugging large bottles of Gatorade constantly (which, if you know about diabetes and its health complications, did not help my situation in the slightest). I started breathing erratically after very little exertion. Like, I’m talking standing up and stretching brought about heavy, labored breathing. I weighed myself on my parents’ scale, and I was under 130 lbs. Now, for some people this might seem like a lot, but due to my height and build I could fucking see some of my ribs. That was when I started to realize that something was very, very wrong, but “losing weight is good” and I didn’t want my parents to laugh at me for voicing concerns (though, for all their faults, in hindsight, I doubt they would’ve). Yeah. Don’t do that, folks, that’s not a good mindset to have.
On Sunday, my mom took me to town to get tested for Covid. This was despite me saying that I didn’t have symptoms (which I knew very well due to some of my friends catching it at school). Rapid test came back negative, so I did a culture test. Hell, while I was sitting in the damn chair, I was about to pass out. I asked for a nausea pill but my mouth was too dry for it to dissolve. I got a cup of water, downed it all, and felt like my throat was on fire. For the rest of the day I felt so, so awful. At some point I was walking toward my bed in my room and I fucking fell. I’m fucking lucky there was carpet.
Regarding the rest of that night, things start to get blurry, for the lack of a better term. I legitimately cannot recall everything that happened that night or the following two days, so I will just try to explain it in the way I remember it best.
Around...midnight or one??? I was on fucking fire, so I went to my bathroom and decided to lie on the floor. The floor was hardwood and not at all cold, and it wasn’t fucking comfortable even in that state, but I was just in so much pain I didn’t even care. My mom must’ve heard because she found me there and asked me what I was doing. I said something about the floor. She asked me to go back to bed, but I must’ve scared her because she asked me if I wanted her to lie in the bed with me. I don’t remember what I said to her, but we were in the bed and she was trying to hug me, but she was too warm and so I told her to stop. I kept feeling this burning just below my chest, like there was acid in me (which I guess wasn’t too far off), so I would randomly sit up to try and alleviate the pain and not cry. I remember asking my mom to take me to the hospital in the morning.
My mom put me in the truck (I think around 5 am is what she told me). I remembered hearing my dad. I was lying down. Then I was awake, but I was on the floor. I thought this was wrong so I tried to tell my mom that but I guess I couldn’t talk. Then I was in a hospital bed, the ER I assume. My mom gave me some water with a sponge, and I was just so fucking thirsty. Then I was in the ICU hooked up to a bunch of machines. I didn’t know what was going on, but my mom kept giving me water with that sponge. That is all I remember from Monday.
I remember a little bit more from Tuesday. My mom said something about diabetes, but that didn’t make any sense to me because I wasn’t “fat” and I’d been losing weight, even! What had I done to get diabetes? I was thirsty and tired, so I slept a lot. At some point I really needed to use the restroom so I unhooked my IV???? (I mean I must’ve disconnected myself somehow but I can’t remember the details) which set off a shit ton of alarms and people were Very Concerned and kept asking me Why Did You Do That? But I just needed to go to the restroom, and they told me to use the Red Button to Call the Nurse (it was already there, and I now realize that we’d probably had a similar conversation about the Red Button to Call the Nurse possibly multiple times before this) in the future. A Chopped Teen Tournament from 2017 was playing on the TV nonstop. There were commercials for CGMs. I thought that God wasn’t being very funny about the whole thing.
As of now I remember even less of Wednesday, but I know that felt better. There was this diabetes specialist who kept talking about insulin and life at college moving forward, but I wasn’t really there, either because of being so out of it for health reasons, disassociating, or a combination of the two. My mom told me she had emailed a professor so he would give me an extension on an assignment that was due by then, and I remember crying because I thought that was just so nice of him. That night, this guy got me in a wheelchair and put me in another room, which I would later learn was the ACU. My night nurse was this nice woman named Tanya, who had a very thick Eastern European accent. She got me orange juice to take some potassium pills, but it felt like swallowing rocks. I didn’t really get a lot of sleep, so I was awake when the nurses changed shifts. I remember one of them expressing surprise that I was out of the ICU so early.
My mom took longer to come that day because nobody had told her I’d been moved. I’d had plain Cheerios and orange juice for breakfast, but I couldn’t really eat because my throat hurt so badly. I talked to a lot of doctors. I guess at this point or somewhere near it I accepted that I had diabetes, but it wasn’t really real until the same diabetes specialist was going over carbs. I thought I was never going to eat shit I liked ever again. I really wanted a fucking McChicken sandwich. I signed some papers for Medicaid because I had aged out of the CHIP while in the hospital. I finally texted my friends and explained to them what had happened. I was so fucking tired.
I got out the next day, so that was Thursday. Normally, I would’ve been in the hospital much longer (especially because my Medicaid hadn’t been approved, meaning no insurance had approved of my insulin yet), but Covid cases were on the rise and the hospital wanted me out of there. The diabetes specialist and one of my nurses snuck me two fast-acting and two basal insulin pens, and I was out. I ate half a McChicken, a small fry, and drank my first Diet Coke. It tasted like diesel mixed with piss.
That’s the gist of it. The hospital staff was very nice and thoughtful the entire time, I think. I felt as though everyone involved cared about my health a lot.
For those of you who aren’t T1D or just don’t know, what I experienced is called DKA, short for diabetic ketoacidosis. To simplify, I was very close to entering a diabetic coma. My sister later told me that our dad had said (I assume a doctor had told my mother, who, in turn, had told him) that I was “approximately 45 minutes” away from death. DKA happens when a diabetic (usually a T1D like me) has too much blood sugar in their body due to them lacking the insulin necessary to break the sugar down, so their body breaks down their fat reserves and muscle to get the energy it needs. This is why I lost around 50 pounds over the course of a few months (I was 118 lbs. when I entered the hospital, the lowest I’ve been since grade school). I was officially diagnosed with T1D on November 30th, just ten days after my 19th birthday, which is a little older than normal I believe. It’s...well, it’s not fun, but I feel very grateful for my large support system, and tomorrow I’m trying out a CGM for the first time and applying for both it and a pump, so things are really looking up

Quarantine - 3
Part 1
Part 2

Hey, could I have headcanons about how the boys became interested in they’re s/o? I’ve always wondered what set them “apart” or how they meet them. I hope you have a good day and that quarantine isnt driving you bonkers!
I would’ve totally done Masky and Hoodie/any others but I’ve already written too much lmao
Jeff
When out of his usual Friday night killing spree, he was caught off guard by a scream from outside rather than inside where he was currently doing the stabbing motions.
He was intrigued to say the least.
Jeff ventured outside, and upon seeing your frightened face, he knew he just had to make you scream a little bit more before landing a final blow.
He chased after you down the city streets, desperately trying to corner you like a cat chasing a mouse.
And then he saw how frail, how weak you looked as you cowered against the brick wall of the alley.
He wanted to toy with you before he killed you, so he dragged you home with him.
He was surprised, nonetheless impressed, with how quickly you found a way to stab him without a weapon.
You still ended up being dragged home by the killer.
He just couldn't bring himself to hurt you. You looked so beautiful b how your skin glowed, and the way your eyes sparkle in the sunlight.
And whenever he managed to get a smile from you proved his mood better for the rest of the day.
And instead of toying around and scaring you, y'all just kind of lived as roommates until you eventually grew feelings for him.
Ben
When Ben is bored, he likes sifting through webcam and security cameras from his hometown.
Or at least what he believes to be his hometown. He doesn't exactly remember, but some of the faces look familiar.
But everyone w sleeping at 3am, so there wasn't much entertainment for the elf.
And then there was you, a new resident who was raiding your fridge for yogurt, pudding, chocolate, Doritos, and whatever else you could find in the middle of the night.
Ben found himself watching you more than usual, contemplating if he wants to strike you as his newest victim or not.
But the Majora cartridge somehow found it's way onto your living room couch, along with a battered down N64.
You thought it was just one of your friends who put it there, a few of your close friends/family has a house key in case you ever get locked out.
What a nice house warming gift.
But what was not a nice house warming gift was the blonde fucker that climbed out of your television screen.
He found your reactions cute and funny, so he lingered around for a bit. He was a ghost, it's not like you could attack him or anything.
But honestly?
You felt yourself vibing with him, and you found yourself becoming good friends, and eventually more than that.
Eyeless Jack
What Jack thought to be a midnight snack was actually a start to his random act of kindness for the day.
You wore a necklace to bed that night, something you thought would never make you cross paths with Death himself.
It got caught on your Smartwatch, tangling and twisting around the face until you woke up gasping for empty breaths of air.
Jack hopped through the window just in time.
As if it were his instinct, he was quick to break the necklace and rip it off of your neck.
By this time you were fading out of consciousness.
A pair of hands held the back of your neck, and a gaze of darkness inspected your breathing.
You awoke to a very rough jostling, a metallic smelling finger going as far as opening one of your eyelids.
When you start coughing the stranger steps back silently, cocking his head to the side as he watches you recover.
Why this man was in your room you had no idea, but you were very grateful that he was here when he was.
The silence between the both of you was thick. His prying eyes were observing you, and it sent goosebumps along your skin despite the sweat clinging to your skin.
And then he took out a knife, or was it a surgical tool? You had no time to double-check because you were already chasing him out with a tennis racket that you KNEW how to use.
He came back though, perched on your windowsill like an unwanted cat.
"Do you want to come in?" The man in black slowly nodded.
"Do you want to hurt me?" A hesitation, but nonetheless he shook his head side to side.
He observed you once you allowed him entry, not really making effort to talk except, "You smell nice." Which made you sweat nervously.
With more interaction, you noticed that he's not /too/ weird, and he's very intelligent with a side of sarcasm.
You started to grow fond of the way his body loomed over yours, and the way his teeth poked over his lips with he smirked.
Toby
Toby was severely injured in the woods, practically left there to die by whoever was deemed to be his attacker.
But lucky you, you stumbled upon the serial killer when on your way home from work.
You thought the glowing eyes reflecting off of your headlights were those of a wounded animal, but it was worse than that.
This boy was absolutely covered in blood. There's no way he'd survive out here alone, taking that he's already passed out from blood loss.
You drag him to your car, not caring about the blood on your seats. You patch him up to the best of your ability until you can find a hospital.
But a gasp from the backseat says otherwise, frantically pleading to stop the car.
" I-I-I can'- I can't go to the doc-doctor! Please!!"
"Dude, you're bleeding everywhere, you need help."
"Not all of it is my blood."
That made your tires screech, nearly sending Toby into a panic attack. Flashbacks of a certain car crash keep trying to wiggle its way to the front of his mind.
And then he passes out again.
You don't want to be involved in any type of murder, plus you have no idea what this dude's story is. He could've been helping people that got injured? Hopefully?
It's not like you can just leave him on the side of the road somewhere.
You brought him home and nursed him back to health to the best of your abilities (and google).
He didn't have any interest in you at first, he was more focused on returning home. Toby even debated killing you a few times, and right when he had the hatchet raised, "Toby are you covered up? It's getting chilly."
Toby lolls his head back, letting his forearms meet his forehead and still limply hold onto the hatchet.
Every time he attempts murder, you always seem to have something nice to say. And eventually, you start to remind Toby of his late sister.
You cared about him, which is not something that happens often to the ticing brunette.
After catching feelings, you're not able to get rid of him unless you kick him out of the car like a lost puppy.
So, he'll just have to stick around for a little while longer, cuddling on the couch as you watch Disney films.
