give me a pitch for korekiibo!!! i wanna hear! :)

OKAY SO

Korekiyo's whole deal is being obsessed with the beauty of humanity, right? Studying how different people behave under different circumstances, sort of observing from the outside. Despite the love xe feels for humanity, there's this sort of alienation. Xe ends up watching everyone else from the edge of the room during class events, xyr this kind of tall, dark, unnerving presence with greasy hair and a mostly obscured face and unconventional interests. In a lot of xyr interactions with the rest of the V3 cast, xyr classmates seem really uncomfortable or even actively distrusting of xem.

And Kiibo's matches up really well with Korekiyo's, their through line is how disconnected they feel from humanity despite being like. The ultimate reflection of everything humankind is. Kibo aspires to be more human, and feels outright offended when their classmates insinuate that they're less than human, or that their life doesn't have the same value as any other person's. They feel like they need to be useful or provide something of value to their friends in order to deserve a place in their circle

(side note I am Not going to use he/him for either of these characters ever. transfem Kiibo + nonbinary Korekiyo supremacy. these are mostly the versions of them i’ve made up in my head anyways so who cares that's all shipping is anyways)

Korekiyo would be the perfect person to affirm Kiibo's value as a person and humanity imo, while Kiibo is a good in-point for Korekiyo to start socializing with more of their friends. I won't take this as an opportunity to shill for my Korekiibo fanfiction, but I have a whole speech from Kiyo written out talking about how Kiibo is the culmination of humanity's desire to share the experience of sentience etc etc

Robotlover Korekiyo Shinguji, you can pry this headcanon from my cold dead hands. What's more human than something created by humanity the way they were created in the image of 'god'? etc

It's really cute!! Korekiyo Does Not Shut Up but thankfully Kiibo loves listening, and there's a lot of substance in what xe says. Even if it rambles for an hour on end, there's information to be gained there, and that applies especially to Kiibo. I think xe would be really interested in the ways Kiibo tries to be more than just the ‘Ultimate Robot’, how they strive to be as close to humankind as they can despite being a robot.

I think Kiibo and Korekiyo would find comfort in each other's shared distance from their peers, too. Korekiyo clearly has a very non-traditional or even distorted view of intimacy and relationships, and likely an extreme discomfort with feeling like xyr out of control. Xe likes to be the person who has information and knowledge to give in xyr relationships, kind of taking up the role of teacher in most conversations in canon.

Kiibo is sort of new to the whole idea of interpersonal relationships, but still goes out of their way to seek out that king of intimacy, as shown in their free time and love suite events. They seem like the type to be eager to learn, which fits perfectly with Korekiyo's affinity for teaching. I can imagine them cuddling while Korekiyo infodumps for hours on end about the entire history of fortune telling or something lol

And now: Things I Just Think Are Really Cute About Their Dynamic

- Consider that Kiibo could probably pick up Kiyo and have xem perched on their shoulder like a weird bird if their strength limiters were turned off. That beast probably weighs about as much of a stack of paper cups wearing a military uniform, xe’ll blow away like a napkin if you roll down the windows of a car on the highway

- Korekiyo is Wife Guy: Evil Edition in my mind. Xyr the type to send xyr partner flowers and the first unlucky person to upset that partner a pipe bomb. Kiibo finds this very reassuring but is working on helping xem find ways of expressing affection that aren’t also felonies

- Korekiyo says things like ‘I think if I were to eat you you would taste like strawberry shortcake’ and Kiibo is just. Okay ❤️ Yay ❤️ All of xyr compliments are incredibly unnerving but Kiibo finds them endearing anyways

- The visual contrast between the two is just. Augh. Tall and flowy and gorgeous and a little terrifying and 5’3 robot with spiky white hair and chunky armour and shounen protagonist demeanour. They are so Connecticut Clark and Malfina to me

- Korekiyo is a BDSM aficionado and Kiibo does not know what sex is

- THIS IMAGE. KIIBO IS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE GAME THAT KOREKIYO CALLS ‘MY DEAR’. I AM INSANE ABOUT THIS

You have unleashed the beast AAAARGH

I'm gonna follow the number prompts but. Be prepared. This is gonna be long.

Okay before I talk about my first impression, you all need to understand. I went into this game almost entirely blind. The only characters I had seen were Yuma and Shinigami (of course), along with the train detectives, Swank, and the NDA (except Yakou). I also skipped the intro. I had no idea that Makoto existed. So. Imagine. I'm playing the game, all concerned about the NDA, and I(Yuma) wake up in this fancy ass bed. Immediately, I think, "is this some wattpad fanfiction? I've been sold to Raincode BTS....". I walk out of the bedroom. The cutscene starts. This skinny, naked little twink with a funky ass mask takes up my screen, giggles, does a bow, and Immediately my heart is stolen. This funky little guy has taken the top spot of my favorites. And he just continues getting better. He's SO eccentric and SO silly. He's ominous and I've decided he is best boy. Then there's the rest of the middest chapter in the game, and I'm feeling bored, then he takes a good scene with Yomi and makes it EVEN BETTER. Teasing what I thought was the big bad, immediately making all the other characters tense- he just. Commanded everyone's attention, in and out of the game. It's very rare for a character to be able to do that, and he just... does it consistently.

I have so many headcanons guys. Can you believe it. Alfie having headcanons about Makoto. Anyways! I think part of the massive walk-in closet he definitely has is dedicated to masks. The masks on his page in the art book and countless others. He also bleaches his hair. Also, I've talked about this before, but I think he had a similar relationship with the previous CEO that Yuma has with Yakou. A mentor of sorts, but definitely not just a boss and his employee dynamic. Oh, and I think he's got cool fangs. What's the point of being a homunculus if you don't get cool animalistic features. Also he is schizospec. Why? Because he's just like me fr. He's got the schizoid dilemma built into him from the ground up

Legitimately I don't think I have any complaints about Makoto. Like. There was never any point where I wasn't absolutely invested in what he was doing and fawning over him. Okay well actually I do have one complaint. Why don't I get to have gumshoe gabs with him, huh? Let me interact more with him. Maybe Yuma was feverish and shit after Makoto rescued him, so he forgot about their interactions. Please. I need it.

MAKOYUMA RAHHHHHH. Okay sorry I'll be normal. Anyway, I really like makoyuma. Sue me. My very first ship was selfcest, I guess I'm returning to my roots. I shipped them from the very moment Makoto showed up because there was just... so much he was hinting at. Of course, my initial theory was that Yuma was a homunculus and Makoto was either number one or closely related to Number One. But it was clear to me that Yuma and Makoto had SOME sort of connection, and I was right. Chapter five made me jaw drop. DESPITE ME GETTING SPOILED FOR MAKOTOS FACE. thanks Google. I still didn't realize what it meant when I saw it while trying to find a picture of Makoto to send to my friend... so it still shocked me. Anyway, Makoyuma just... has so much to it. Whether you're focusing on fluff or angst or hell, even dead dove shit. They can do it all. They're so complicated and I love them for that. They're very close to my heart. Other Makoto ships I enjoy are Makoyomi and, woah rarepairs, makoto + vivia and makoto + desuhiko. Makoyomi is a looney toons ass toxic yaoi and I think makoto and vivia would have a very interesting dynamic (not necessarily romantic), especially since... Makoto orchestrated Yakou's death. And with Makoto and Desuhiko I just like the idea of these goofballs being wacky.

Overall opinion: I have. Not been this obsessed with a character since Kiibo Danganronpa and Scaramouche Genshin. You know hyperfixations? Its like that. But I'm not autistic so it's not a hyperfixation. And mine involves adopting him into my identity. Permanently. Makoto is exactly the type of character I like and I enjoy him immensely. Stan Makoto!!!!

A list of my favorite Danganronpa ships and why I like them, that no one asked for. (Not in any specific order)

(It also contains spoilers so if you don't want that scoot)

1. Kaede X Rantaro

A bit rare but I really like them together. Aside from the fact that I like calling them A and A, I like the dynamic of person who can't be trusted and person who trust too easily. And that nail painting scene with Tsumugi third wheeling was just adorable.

2. Sonia X Gundham

Who doesn't love SonDam? I liked their interactions throughout the game! I live for Sonia unintentionally making Gundham all blushy blushy and the fact that she indulges his interests sincerely is adorable. They're both nerds and I love them for it.

3. Fuyuhiko X Peko

Now this. THIS made me cry, bawl, scream and throw up more tears. Fuyuhiko and Peko are EVERYTHING. Childhood friends, Fuyuhiko most likely having romantic interest in Peko but Peko still feels confined in the I'm a tool thing. Not only that I believe Peko mentioned that she had a childhood friend that she wanted to take on a date once the Killing game was done (most likely Fuyuhiko). That whole emotional scene in Chapter 2 was just beautiful and KuzuPeko is just the best.

4. Miu X Kiibo

Aside from just ultimate pervert inventor wants to fuck the robot thing, I feel that they can be so much more. Maybe I'm just high off of headcannons (which I am) but I vibe with the whole no one understands Miu so she only vibes with robots and Kiibo, who's a robot, tries to understand humans but can't so who better to help them with their shit than each other.

5. Mondo X Kiyotaka

No explanation needed. They're bros and the bromance is strong.

6. Maki X Kaito

Idiot space nerd in love with cold blooded caregiver who turns out to be an assassin. I believe that confession in Trial 5 speaks for itself.

7. Chiaki X Izuru

I'm a sucker for beauty and the beast and this ship is the embodiment of everything I love about that fairytale. That scene in the anime where he cries for her and he doesn't even know who the hell she is hits hard.

8. Kokichi X Shuichi

I have no idea why I fell in love with this ship. I guess I really like the idea of the Phantom Thief Au where Shuichi chases after Kokichi. This ship gives me Akechi and Akira vibes from Persona 5 and I kind of like it. Also the potential of the ambiguity of Ouma's thoughts and motives gives me life because I can project the angst that I had when shipping RyoMina from Persona 3.

9. Mukuro X Makoto

Another one with a cute nickname, I like calling them the MnM's (Moxxie and Millie brainrot). I just wanted good things for Mukuro and who better to give her love than our good-hearted protag Makoto.

10. Mahiru X Hiyoko

This one I don't really ship hardcore but I find it to be very adorable and I wish they had more screen time because Mahiru made Hiyoko more tolerable and genuinely a good person for like 4 seconds. I also feel like the strong bond they have is just so cute.

11. Nagito X Hajime

NOW, I have a love-hate relationship with this ship. I love it because I think that they both make each other better (more like Hajime can control Nagito to an extent) and they have really cute moments with each other. BUT on the other hand I despise this brainrot inducing trash, not only does it give me insurmountable amounts of anger but it also makes me hate the shipping fandom of Danganronpa. This ship just kind of doesn't make sense to me because Hajime doesn't like Nagito?? And the toxic KomaHina shippers are just the worst.

12. Korekiyo X Angie

I thought it was funny lol

It genuinely started off as a joke. I see those Danganronpa but the wheel decides their fate videos all the time and almost all the videos I see Angie always gets killed by Kiyo and I started shipping it for shits and giggles. but now it just stuck to me so it went from "it's just a joke" to "it's not a joke anymore 😦".

A malfunction causes Kiibo to have an interest in g/t. When he meets a giant Shuichi, the excitment may just fry his circuits.

Kaede discovers Shuichi has the freaky ability to change his height. Instead of running away, as the boy would expect, she stays to comfort him.

Kyoko isn’t easy to fool. None of Makoto’s borrowings go unnoticed by the young detective, and she’s determined to find the mysterious thief in her walls.

Kiibo finds a borrower on school grounds and is determined to befriend them.

One night, Kokichi meets a giant in the streets. It’s well the most-not-boring thing that happens to him in a while, and he’s determined not to let this giant emo go.

Sequel to the last one: Shuichi has no desire to meet anymore humans, but as fate would have it, Kokichi bumps into him again. The little leader is apparently running from bad guys, and Shuichi accepts to help him with his escape.

The new motive leaves Kokichi as a giant. His classmates agree to avoid him, but Shuichi’s intrigue leads him to chat with the mischivious giant.

Sequel to the last one: The new motive leaves Kokichi as a tiny. Now that he’s the easiest, most tempting target, he can only hope his classmates have enough sense and sensibility to let him live.

While out on a borrowing trip, Shuichi comes in contact with Kaito, the household’s youngest human. He’s eager to cut the interaction short, but maybe Kaito can help him this once?

Borrower Chihiro greets Mondo as he comes back from school with a little prank. (He/Him prounouns for Chihiro in here)

Taka is woken at night by Chihiro. Only she’s inexplicably gigantic, and it’s up to him to help her back to her normal height. (She/Her for Chihiro)

Leon’s an emotional shifter. And the worst person finds out: Junko. She takes advantage of his shrunken state, but Leon’s not getting crushed without a fight.

Sequel to the last one:  After his altercation with Junko, Leon wakes up in Makoto's room and the baseball prodigy has a feeling Makoto knows more than he should. Now the question is, will he be a friend or foe?

Dared by her classmates, Himiko ventures in the woods to finds the rumored monster lurking there. As it turns out, the beast is only a young, handsome, absolutely massive green-haired man.

Kokichi notices that Saihara’s height changes with his emotions. He pushes the boy to the extreme to see how far his ability goes, but he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Kokichi sneaks in professor Iidabashi’s hangar to find his latest project: a giant, super cool mecha robot. Well it doesn’t have any laser beams or missiles, but at least it’s easy to frustrate and it talks funny. Thats enough for Kokichi to stick around.

Shuichi can’t sleep so he goes for a walk in the woods. He meets a playful, mysterious giant boy, and he’s not sure if the encounter helped alleviate his stress or tormented him more.

Maki is dragged by Kaito to the woods for night training. Only, he brings an unexpected guest: a boy their age and ten times their height. Maki’s trust will be hard to earn, but he may just gain her respect.

Angie decides to empower the student council in the most literal way: by turning them into mini giants. Shenanigans ensue.

Kokichi finds out lying now make him grow taller. He can’t let his classmates find out and trust him even less, but he may need help from a certain mage.

🌙what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it? Sarah's goal was always to get into the field of robotics, like her father! though due to her being a woman in the late 60s/mid 80s (depending on timeline), as well as having albinism, she has a lot of difficulty with it. she certainly took advantage of every chance she was given to come closer to that dream, though she was,,,,, a little clumsy with the half-baked prototype given to her by her father. 😬 theres a reason the SARA project is named after her

🌌what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? She's closely tied with SARA, who is inspired by Kiibo, actually! primarily out of a want to make a cooler ult robot. NEEDED a TV head type of beast.

🌈what advice would they give to their younger self? USE LAB SAFETY PROCEDURES. dont fucking die to a live wire just bcs you wanna do a hotfix on ur damn robot. Idiot.

☄what do people assume about them? are they right? im not sure! most of the assumptions thrown at her in her daily life would be from old scientists, soooo. not great stuff. but i think a lot of people would glance at her and think thats shes really serious, bcs she's always dressed in a formal dress shirt and tie with a long coat, usually a lab coat. but shes really just a nervous little freak

Our party overhears a group of adventurers talking about a strange beast in the mountains. They say that it has been causing havoc around a small outcrop of villages. One of these adventurers sounds quite knowledgeable in the characteristics and behaviors of the beast.

Hiyoko decides to take control of the conversation, the rest of the party trailing behind her. “You said something about a beast?” She asks the group. “Yes,” the necromancer, who introduces himself as Gundham, says.

“We only caught a glimpse, but what we saw of it was incredibly fearsome: giant wings that spanned from one side of the village to the other, an ear-splitting cry that rattled the windows of the buildings, and a breath that had the power to instantly bring a person to ruin!”

Gonta, the centaur, nods in agreement. “Yes, Gonta never saw anything like monster before.” Aoi, the pretty merfolk girl, sighs dejectedly. “I feel bad for all of those people whose lives were ruined by such an awful creature!”

“Yes, yes, I understand that you all feel so terribly awful for the people that you clearly left behind,” Kokichi butts in, and Aoi splutters in disbelief. Kiibo quickly tries to rectify the situation, elbowing Kokichi who shoots him a dirty look.

“My apologies for my companion. What I believe he meant to say is that we would like to offer our aid to these villages and slay the dragon. Would you be able to mark the location on the map for us?” Gonta happily agrees and takes the proffered map from Taka.

Before Gonta can return the map to them, Gundham takes it from his hands, marking a second location on it. “I suggest you get some new equipment before taking on such a beast. What you have now seems a bit…” he eyes the party’s weapons with disdain, “flimsy.”

Ignoring Kokichi and Hiyoko’s exclamations of protest, he points to the new mark on the map. “I know of a trusted merchant in town who sells unique weapons and armor for a decent price. If you mention us, he may give you a discount on certain wares.”

“Thank you,” Kiibo says, shooting the group a grateful smile. Taka bows in respect, nudging Kokichi and Hiyoko to do the same. Aoi grins back brightly. “We’re happy to help fellow adventurers! Best of luck to you, and safe travels.”

Giant!Shuichi Headcanons

Oh god this is like the fastest and less edited writing i’ve ever wrote holy shit-

Anyways, here’s some giant!Shuichi headcanons as promised (It’s not a lot, I know, but it’s the only thing i could come up with til now)

Warning: If you do not know what Danganronpa (V3) is, i suggest you not to read this (contains mention of death/execution/killing ) AND this contains huge spoilers for the game (esp chapter 1)

also I still haven’t entirely finished watching the game’s playthrough, so sorry if something here is written wrong according to canon.

- after Kaede's death, as promised, the other's get a punishment too, for not finding who the real culprit is; and the punishment is for Shuichi(since his problem will cause problems for others as well) to slowly grow to a gigantic sized human in the class trial.

- he feels sudden pain in his kneecap (caused by the growth ray ill explain what it is in the continue of the HCS) and he then starts growing.

- everyone start freaking out as Shuichi himself panics too, since he doesn't know why his eyes' distance with the floor grows further and further without a warning; though his head doesn't hit the ceiling and the era around him and his classmates doesn't get cramped for neither him nor his classmates, he feels dizzy and crashed under the confused and scared gaze of the other students, the pain in his body caused by the sudden and huge growth, and the anxiety feeling in his guts.

- after his growth is done, both him and the others are confused but Monokuma says that the class trial is over and they should get out; Kaito tries to start a fight with Monokuma since he thinks he is the reason why Shuichi suddenly grew (well yes but no, Tsumigi shoot shuichi w/ a growth ray when no one was looking since all of them were horrified by Kaede's execution), but Maki and Kiibo stop him from doing so.

- Tsumigi actually does this as a motive for the next murder attend(s) too; Well obviously her plan fails since Shuichi has no interest in killing any of his classmates.

-Shuichi doesn't show it, but sometimes he thinks about how his family and friends from the outside world would react to his new towering size; Will they disown him? Will they act like he is some sort of a monster, or rather a beast? Will they even give him a chance to explain what has happened to him? All these frightening thoughts, rarely give him mid night panic attacks and he don't know weather he can vent to his close remaining friends about it.

-As a normal sized, Shuichi usually avoids conversations and communication since he is introverted a lot; And as giant, his avoidant increases just as much as his height has increased. Although he doesn't mind being comforted b his close friends (Like Kaito and Maki, but mostly Kaito since he is the Ultimate Therapist and a Bro to Shuichi), thus he fears he might hurt them, so he usually keeps a distance between him and others.

-Now that he is a giant and can't even fit his arm through a door, he usually gets help from Kiibo when it comes to investigations; How? Kiibo and Shuichi asked Miu to install a filming function on Kiibo; Although when Miu was going to install the program, she realized there's already a filming function installed in Kiibo's eyes, so all she had to do was to connect Kiibo's filming function to a monitor so when Kiibo investigates something, Shuichi can see it through the monitor; Miu also installed a function on the monitor so Kiibo and Shuichi can communicate with each other during an investigation.

-The first person Shuichi gets to be around after his sudden growth is Kiibo; Since he is a robot and there's less chance of him getting hurt then the other students. Kiibo on the other hand tries to assist any sort of help to Shuichi, and Shuichi is grateful about it.

-Kaito is the second person Shuichi would trust himself with him (probably not because Kaito doesn't care whether Shuichi wants him to be around or not since he wants to comfort his friend in any way possible lmao). He sometimes brings up the fact about just how tall Shuichi has gotten and jokes about that he can totally reach the moon with just raising his hand up; It eases Shuichi to see how his friend doesn't seem to see him as a dangerous monster or something.

-When Shuichi grew to a giant, Tenko was terrified; She literally tried to get all the women in the class behind her to protect them while shouting "YOU F*CKING MALES!" because she thought Shuichi was going to hurt them; And in confusion, Shuichi tried to reach for his classmates behind Tenko's back causing her to become more feral (thankfully after that everyone realized that Shuichi has no intension of hurting anyone).

-Kokichi will try every single opportunity possible to freak the hell out Saihara; Fake crying about how Shuichi hurt him, giving him heart attacks and scaring him to death; Although after a few times of lying Shuichi doesn't fall for it anymore, but it doesn't stop the panta boy from making up crazy and unbelievable lies.
