Today's haul of seaglass. Found a few pieces of ceramic too. Most of this glass comes from beer bottles. The larger clear curved pieces are generally from glasses and isn't actually made of glass but instead plastic. Allegedly the light blue glass (looks almost white) is from old medicine bottles (this comment will be edited if wrong.) The cloudier the glass is, the older it is. Supposedly very cloudy glass is over 100 years old. I also found a few pieces of ceramic, which I always love to wonder how it got there.

A little break from AuGhost for a bit more Smaugust. This is the Pearl Dragon's also recently repaired sibling, the Sea Glass Dragon.
Those are actual pieces of sea glass that were gathered from beaches in Newfoundland. They're both part of their body, in the spines, and the little hoard. And frankly, Seaglass Dragon's glowing features look amazing in the dark. Yes I will toot my own horn for once, lol.
Created the same time as Pearl, both dragons were made during a period of grief, and receiving them back broken was shattering. Being able to repair both to full glory was so healing, and I feel really good about it.
I'm ready to let both Pearl and Sea Glass go forth to new homes, and they'll be up on Bittythings and Beasts before the end of the month. If you'd like a beast in the meantime, please check out Bittythings and Beasts, for spoopy, common, and magical friends.

🌳 Green 🍀🍃
The wonderful thing about art is that you can be inspired by nature without being constrained by it. Alright, green roses don't actually exist, but wouldn't they be pretty if they did? 💚
(Not pictured: me, crying as I try to get the green roses to stop showing up black in the photos. They're so green in person, I swear.)

My special collection of beach glass, ceramics and porcelain.
Top left: Various large pieces ranging from fairly new to worn out tiles/ceramics. There's a interesting corner piece that looks like a elephant foot in the middle. Could be the bottom of a vase.
Top right: Bonfire glass with one particularly very dark pieces.
Middle Left: Generic ceramic pieces.
Middle Right: Various colored glass. Most of the red pieces are likely from taillights but one piece looks like it may have been from a bottle or light. A few unusually green pieces and some very very dark flat green pieces.
Bottom Left: A few colored ceramics. Likely from plates. One white piece has some blue paint on it.
Bottom Middle: Porcelain collection. A few pieces have text on them and are disc shaped, so could be bottom part of a bottle or plate. Quite a few of these.
Bottom Right: The outer rim of some bottle with the diameter of about a quarter. I imagine they may be from old medicine bottles because they're too small to be for alcohol.
I have a small collection of slightly pink glass, followed by some green and light blue glass. My biggest collection is white and brown glass which I now dump in the recycling bin because there's just too much. So when there's a new low tide I typically just look for ceramics and porcelain.
