Nimona.
I've always loved animated movies. My first movie I've watched on the big screen in our small town theater was Disney's "The Aristocats".
After that I watched every major animation feature movie that came out for about 30 years.
Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks ...
Then, some 10+ years ago, I just stopped.
I thought, maybe I finally grew up for good. Maybe the final stage of adulthood kicked in with 35 something, it just didn't drag me anymore to watch them...
The world had changed and me with it. All the usual mainstream stories still always followed decade old templates. Princesses, villains, monsters. Black and white. Be one of us. Don't be different. Different is bad.
Now we live in a world with a lot of shades of grey, and the colors of the rainbow 🌈. Where people who are different no longer want to be left outside. The ones considered monsters are not necessarily the villains anymore. Where we want to give and receive love from and to whoever we want to. Where old rules don't apply any longer.
Nimona probably resonates that much with me, because it reflects all that.
Be who you are, not who people want you to be.
You're not a monster, just because you're different.
Embrace your inner self.
You will find someone, who is just as lost as you, maybe for different reasons, but they will see you, will accept you and even get to love you.
Be brave. Follow your heart. Choose your own family of sidekicks, not by what others tell you, but by what your heart tells you.
Enough sappy rambling. Sorry.
Go!
Watch it!
It's queer and so good!
It has dancing sharks!
Plus, @the-almighty-god , it has some AWESOME WHALE ACTION in it!!!

So release yourself from that. Don't be strategic or coy. Strategic and coy are for jackasses. Be brave. Be authentic. Practice saying the word 'love' to the people you love so when it matters the most to say it, you will.

Too scared to make those ripples in the water?Make them anyway. Too scared to speak up? Speak up anyway. It’s the only way to be authentic. Whoever stays it will be because they like the real you and not the agreeable you.
