Will you tell me about an LU character you love and why you love them? Please please please ramble on and on! It's my favorite! I get so many fun ideas when people gush about their favorites.

I (think) I've said this before, but I am not the most analytical/observ person ever so most of what I say is probably kinda shallow :') BUT THIS IS MY RAMBLE SO OH WELL

Okay so recently, I've been on a Warriors kick. I just super love how like, everyone portrays him! Most see him as big brother shaped, which I super love. His background is just so vastly different than every other Link, which serves as a very cool contrast imo

The way @somer-writes makes Twi and Wars idiodic brothers is like, my favorite ever. I love love love LOVE how he writes Wars and Twi it's so insane the comedy that unfolds when they're just messing around xD

Warriors has this air, this *vibe* which I'm just super drawn too, I think it's just how my personality vs his works (you could theoretically draw *some* parallels with Sokka from ATLA, at least the way they each hold themselves I'd say. Also big bro stuff) (ALSO how both of them are portrayed as 'smart', which is a trait I typically relate too in characters)

When I like a character though, it's more based on the different types of relationships everyone writes them as though, I'd say. Wars and Time and Wind have this super intriguing bond that I think is cool to see how everyone interprets it! For the most part people write them as they're all aware of the War of Ages and whatnot, which lead to some nice fluff and/or angst. But when there's some time paradoxes, it makes it every so more tragic and it's really interesting to see how that can get written. I recall a fic (I FORGOT THE TITLE AND THE AUTHOR NOO) where Wars was teaching Wind medic stuff, but it was like a year before Wind meets Wars in the war. So Wars is all "sob this is why Wind is such a good medic? *Bc I taught him?*" THIS IS SO COOL AND INTERESTING

Also when there's War of Ages fics that have Time/Mask being a stupid child (/aff) they're just super hilarious. There's a series out there that has the Fierce Deity (sorry forgot the author again xD) act as Wars parent figure/older brother figure and it's just really funny to me bc ofc Wars would be a stupid overworking idiot. Loser smh

Four is also another one of the sillies that live in my brain, and I kinda wish there were more fics on how they interact. Though, if I'm being real idk how they really would cause they don't really have the same synergy as any other Links. I just like my favorites to interact, but I super understand how they wouldn't ^^

Small side bit on serious Wars (the biggest example is "Call Them Brothers" by wutheringmights which I'm almost 100% certain you've read that already cause it's soooo long and it's SO GOOD AHH) and ugh I wish I could pay attention more to get every complexity that this Wars has but the brain kinda hates me. I think it makes a lot of sense for Wars to have a grittier characterization, war does that to people. The entire fic is so visceral to me, I just vividly remember reading the flashback section about the long winter, and I don't even know how to really describe it xD

Wars has such a broad range of emotion, if one were to put him under and microscope and study him there would be SO MUCH.

I know I've been posting one shots and drabbles, but I feel bad that the posting of chapters for NTL have been taking so long between each one. I've been going through a really bad bout of sleep anxiety and insomnia the past few weeks that has been absolutely kicking my ass, and I'm lacking the normal passion/energy I have for writing (and let's be honest, teaching 8 year olds all day is not helping with that exhaustion when you're running on 4 hours of sleep a night 🥴)

I'm currently working on the wedding chapter, and as I'm typing, I'm thinking I'll split it up into two parts bc it's gonna be hella long if I don't, and lord knows when I'll finish with it if that's the case. Thanks as always for being so patient with me, I promise I'm doing my best to get new chapters out bc our two favorite idiots in love bring me a lot of joy and comfort, just like I hope they bring you 🥺

I HAVE PLAYLISTS FOR ALL THE CHARACTERS!! Ive been thinking about how to share them for awhile bc I LOVE these playlists and they help my brain rot on this AU but mm! Just wanted to get that out there im holding onto these

Something people didn’t catch was that in this animation, which is supposed to take place around the time Eddie moved into the neighborhood, he had his mail hat! But, currently, he doesn’t! That’s not because he lost it, Howdy actually stole it! Howdy immediately attempted to scam Eddie when he first arrived, stealing his hat and trying to sell it back to him, but he did not know that Eddie would not give a fuck. Howdy thought Eddie cared way more about his job then he actually does. So, Eddie’s hat is still currently decaying under Howdy’s desk.

All the characters have trauma or something depressing about them… except Julie! I’m not sure why but I just.. never came up with something reasonable for her backstory. I came up with a lot of ideas, but a lot of them seemed to cliche and controversial? Like, one of my ideas was some sort of sex working trauma, but I thought oooh of course you gave the most feminine character the sex working backstory! Another idea was eating disorder trauma, but again, ooh i gave the fem one the ED! The same thing happened with SA trauma, it all just felt so… cliche. And I felt like I would get a lot of backlash if I tried to implement this. So.. im still working on it!

^ originally Franks backstory was going to be completely SA related, but I changed that. Still not spoiling how, though.

^^ also I really liked the sex working idea! Because I think it would be interesting if thats how Eddie and her met. Not that Eddie bought sex from her, but that they like worked together and slowly became friends! Eddie kept her safe n stuff, beat the shit out of ppl that didnt pay yknow? Explored a deeper level of understanding between them

Ive been daydreaming about attempting to make my own little bootleg “play fellow exhibition” not nearly to the extent that Clown did, but just some sort of fake “restored” things! Maybe even fake interviews with those that remember the show! Ive even recorded some lines, of my own voice, of fake voice clips restored from the show. I haven’t had the confidence to post any of them just yet aa. I think my Eddie impression is IMPECCABLE though. Maybe bc I have a southern accent

The number of fingers they have is inconsistent, and that is not lore related! I am just an idiot! You might notice that sometimes they have 5, sometimes they have 4. I.. have no actual reason for this. I literally just.. forget! Im literally currently drawing a piece with Julie and Sally where they both have 5 fingers. Why?? Bc the reference I used was of two human girls so!! Just wanted to put it out there, that is not on purpose

I hide a lot of secrets in my art. Bc its fun. If you ever see something in my art thats a little too dark, feel free to up the brightness and see what you find. Does something sort of look like Morse code? Feel free to try it out! I’ll give you a hint, I have used both of these techniques to hide secrets in my art already. The Morse code one is really hard to find, though, so props to you if you find it!

I like to think that the AU’s show is like Rick and Morty. It started out this comedic, very clearly adult-humored show, but slowly the characters had lore! People started watching not for the humor but for the interesting characters. Like when Rick was revealed to have a depressing story with his wife and all that, it was the same as when ppl first found out about Frank’s strange amnesia and PTSD. Like “?? Who put lore in my funny adult comedy??” Yknow what i mean

^ i like to think there was some mind-bending moment where it was revealed Frank doesnt remember anything about his childhood and everyone watching was like :O

Originally in the show, (like season one), the characters were the way they are to make fun of those things. Confusing, but what i mean is that Poppy was a trans woman to make fun of trans people, Eddie and Frank were to make jokes about gay ppl, etc. but SIKE once the show got more seasons and got lift off they became actual characters instead of just jokes! The creators just wanted to make ppl love the show before they made the gay characters actually have personalities, so they couldn’t get cancelled prematurely! HA SUCKERS!!

america is an insomniac while romano is quite the opposite. america always tells himself that hes gonna fix his sleep schedule but he never does bcs he just cant... he'll always find himself wide eyed at 5am like always.

romerica did NOT meet and end in the 1920s. like canon says industrial revolution + economic growth in america aka the gilded for a reason guysss. now i dont think they were dating since then but they did not MEET in the start of the 20s. not rlly a hc its just a fleeting thought.

i do think they dated in the 1920s but throughout the whole time they never called it dating (because they are idiots) they were just gay and existing like a situationship ???? but like they were certainly not just friends if you know what i mean.

they didnt get back into their situationship activities until the 50s

30s they broke apart and then 40s was a complicated time that deserves its own post bcs a bullet point would not do its complexity justice.

I've received a lot of asks like this one so I wanna respond and clarify

I actually love getting asks and even anon asks. I prefer having anon on bc yk big boy blog and all that but also so that people can send me their silliest things.

I really do truly genuinely enjoy having this blog and especially interacting w it. I've made a lot of friends recently and it's just fun to be able to talk ab the cringe failgame from a decade ago. Both for myself and in front of such a large audience.

Ever since I became aware I'm literally in the top 10 on skyrim blogs (at #9 but still) some of my anons started making a lot more sense. The power of anonymity makes people braver, which is good for things like funny headcanons and such.

I don't really like having to turn anon off and god I hope I don't have to shut asks off entirely. Fortunately once I turned anon off my inbox became a lot more peaceful. Funny that.

If I were to compare the two I'm sure I've gotten much more love than hate, but hate is much louder than love. And I know me giving it attention doesn't help much of anything but on the other hand people can and do throw around serious words about an unserious video game on unserious posts from an unserious person.

Even if I ignored all of it, just having to see it can feel so draining. And it isn't just in my inbox. It's also in the tags. I've repeatedly tried to express how deeply uncomfortable I am, AS A JEWISH PERSON OF COLOR, with people throwing words like racist and genocide around all willy nilly over video game characters.

It trivializes those real world issues, that have affected me, my ancestors, and people like me, down to fucking. Skyrim discourse. It's extremely frustrating. And from what I can see I don't think anyone is doing it maliciously or to get a rise out of me. But I think the sheer weight of those words has gotten lost.

And not to pull another race card, but this is especially upsetting from white people. I'm not thrilled about the fact white people keep talking over me and other people of color in the fandom about what is and isn't racist.

But I do also see the love. I see the cats in my inbox and the lovely asks and people writing paragraphs to defend me (when tbh I haven't done anything wrong anyways but. Eh.) and it's genuinely very touching and sweet and even if I don't reply to it (there's a lot to reply to!) I do see it and I appreciate it.

And for the poll, I fully plan on seeing it through. Round 2 closes tomorrow after which I'll set up round 3/the semi finals and then we go to the championship!

I think because of that anonymity it's easy to forget I'm a human person. I very much doubt some of things I've had said to me in the last 48 hours would still be said if it was face to face. I truly don't think someone would look me in the eye and tell me to kill myself over skyrim bullshit.

And the funny part of that is if they did, I'd probably laugh in real life. For the sheer ridiculousness of the statement. "Hey. You. End your life because of video game drama" spoken to me at the local Target would be funny to me. But with the anonymity it feels just as hurtful as I'm sure it's supposed to be.

Thanks for letting me ramble and such. I'm not really even sure what I'm trying to say with all this. Other than I'm human, you're human, we're all humans, and we'd do well to remember that. Please just be nice to each other..

That Neteyam fic really has me giggling like an idiot. After reading it I'm practicallly kicking my feet and frolicking through fields as I think about oblivious reader with Neteyam. The oblivious reader tag is definitely one of your many specialties that I aboslutely die for. Also, Neteyam just nonchalantly babbling about them mating at the end and all the plans he has for them is just the cutest thing ever. Your stories always find the perfect mixture of adorable and sexy with the best dash of humor. It is honestly the triple threat combo! Hats off to you babe because that is straight up fascinating!

Also, I totally forgot to mention how much I absolutely loved and devoured part two of Sex Education. I am not exaggerating when I say I think about parts from that fic daily. I'm pretty sure that part where reader says she wants Jake to move so Neytiri slaps his hips to get him going altered my brain chemistry. I've never seen something to simultaneously arousing and hilarious! Plus sweet little Lo'ak literally had me on the verge of tears while cuddling up to reader and trying to play peacemaker. He is sucha beautiful soul that deserves to be protected.

I honestly could go on and on about your stories because there are countless details and themes that I adore, but alas I have a habit of rambling so I will refrain. This is not me talking myself down but I can't really understand a lot of things you say because you have a bigger vocabulary and idk, you seems like write really well and I don't know if I don't understand some things properly bc English isn't my first language or... for some other reason, like a deficit or something... Well, with all of this unnecessary and unasked information, I'll like to ask what you meant by your post about Nope (2022)? What was your interpretation? Tbh, to this day, I don't think it's a commentary about minorities. The only thing I think it could be seem like that is that thing with their father. Like, black people invented a lot of things and they were the first to do a lot of things, but they didn't get the recognition or the money they deserved most of the time so there's that. Often than that, I just think that the cast is black and there's the other dude who's not white... I don't remember much but I remember commenting with my brother that I thought it was cool that they were just, a diverse cast, with two black protagonists but they were just living their life and something fucked-up (presented itself as an opportunity) happened, that I thought it was cool that Jordan Peele didn't want to make the movie about racism. He does that greatly, but I believe black people want movies in which they are the ones acting/writing/producing/directing to be as diverse and full of possibilities as it always has been for white people, like, they want to have the opportunity to be in every possible story. True to be told, I'm not black... Or technically I am,,, second to some governmental organizations... Well, I'm pardo (kind of like mulatto), mother is black and father is white. I'm just saying this bc in Brazil, if you're pardo, chances are that you live like black people just with some more passability and has it easier than black people (pessoas retintas) but if you have any racial/class consciousness you understand some things that I'm afraid other mixed countries don't understand as well. But we're still racists as fuck so... I just rambled, idk. So what about Nope?

For me, part of the fun of movies and books is reading what other people took got from it. I love reading takes I would never imagine on my own, I love disagreeing with the consensus, and generally I think I’m able to consider, sympathize, and engage with opinions that differ from mine without losing confidence in my own interpretation.

So when I turned to Nope essays and the vast majority of them took it as a reflection of racial politics… I’m not exaggerating when I say I had a minor spiral. Was I stupid? Was I actually stupid? I didn't get any of that. I’m black. I’m privileged as hell, but I am African-American. I loved Get Out. Am I genuinely just a fucking moron who missed the obvious? Picking up media subtext is MY thing. That’s the one thing I’m good at. I had to rewatch Nope to prove I’m not an idiot. I must have been tired that day.

And maybe I am an idiot who missed all the subtext, but I’m more confident this time around saying I agree with you. I think a lot of people (including black people) are misconstruing unchangeable truths (the main characters are black) as social commentary. I think there is some amount of projection, that inclusion is inherently a political statement. Dare I say race is possibly clouding everyone’s perception. Take this popular essay excerpt:

What about this suggests his character would have been at ease and unanxious if the crowd staring at him was black? What about him talking softly with his eyes glued to the floor suggests his discomfort stems from his marginalization as a black man? What did Peele add to his film that indicated OJ as racially-motivated-socially awkward rather than naturally awkward other than the fact that he’s black? It's plausible that racism could have made him like that but does the movie itself give us anything to make that assumption? I don’t think it does. I’ve seen some annoyed posts regarding autistic headcanons because they think these are just normal black man traits and um. No, shrinking violet who prefers animals to humans really aren't. I do know black dudes like OJ. I would not call them the Black Male Experience.

I find this viewpoint super frustrating – to plagiarize Margaret Atwood – White racism, white racism, is every fucking thing run by white racism? Pretending you have a personality of your own, that you can be an adorable, beloved Asian child star, Shy and awkward or boisterous and arrogant, it’s all motivated by white racism.

The whites on the movie set were disrespectful, but imo I didn't see a compelling reason to read it as a commentary on how black men specifically are treated since the type of disrespect shown in that scene doesn’t come up for the rest of the film.

I find the assertion that the Peele made *any* parallels between the way animals are treated and the way poc are treated ungrounded. As I said in my original post, if your takeaway from Jupe’s generic sitcom and movie posters was that he’s EXACTLY as absurd as a chimp in a birthday hat, that the white family adopting an asian kid was commentary on token racism, you are literally just racist. There is nothing in this movie that suggests an insidious reason for his popularity.

The humans watch, the animals are watched until they do something drastic to make it stop. But none of the animals get characterization beyond that and none of the humans act in similar enough ways for me to derive anything from it. I don't recall anyone coercing OJ into unwanted eye contact. The glimpses we see of Jupe's childhood are of a cute kid on a corny sitcom set. The exploitation comes after the random monkey event, when SNL makes a parody skit and the world gradually forgets the gut-wrenching terror of being a little boy hearing your crush's flesh squished.

I am not saying race is irrelevant or that Peele had absolutely no intention of including subtext about black bodies or race exploitation in the film industry, but I am saying that I rewatched Nope specifically for that reading and I don’t find that reading compelling.

Unfortunately, I spent most of this complaining about what other people thought rather than my own. My interpretation was pretty surface-level. I think it was mostly about

respecting nature as it is and not what you imagine it is

somewhat about the nature of perception and how easily it’s distorted/how easy it is to believe you have a full understanding when you’ve only seen about an inch of it, and

something about feeling entitled to perceive things, idk I accept that I probably didn’t pick up on this theme as often as the director wanted me too. I’ll admit that.

- fair warning this is my favorite episode and also my least favorite episode and i am not okay. this post is mostly for myself

- intentionally listened to this on april fools day so i could pretend that michaels death was just a silly little prank

- i love all of nikolas lines she’s so cute. her little “hellooooo!!” to elias in the beginning, the way she keeps going “can i call u elias?” and says that she’s his good friend, her constantly insulting jon and saying that he’s rude and that he has bad skin, “ah, it’s downright uncanny!” “out with the old, in with… well, in with the you!” she’s such a good character

- MICHAEL☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ i love him sm and all of his lines are also so good. even tho the main reason i liked him initially was because of his voice he’s also just so fascinating and his, as jon would call it, “identity issues” are so interesting. i love how even after all this time and all that the distortion has done there still is some humanity left inside of it, some semblance of the original michael shelley still fighting to exist. i know he’s here to literally murder jon but the fact that michael willingly gave jon a statement despite it going against his nature and entire existence really just shows that he is not a complete monster. the distortion desires to kill but as a past institute employee michael understands jon’s desire for knowledge, and even though he wants to take his revenge on the archives, i also think he has some empathy for jon. michael was killed because of his own ignorance and naivety, and i think he can see himself in jon, who’s also suffering because of his own ignorance, being pushed around and manipulated by his boss just like michael was. the distortion wants to kill, but no matter how angry or upset he is, michael shelley does not, and unfortunately for jon the distortion is just the more powerful force in this conflict

Hi I'm back from my evening event and will ramble some more! I've been shooting ideas at @lulu-libellule who also made it all even more fun than it was initially, hehehe

So there's not much of the fnaf plot gonna happen - like virus and Afton n shit, I'm not going there, it's really just for fun

But! There is of course some sort of timeline, and there's three stages/ arcs basically. First pre-reveal, then the messy bit where they all figure it out (though not at the same time), and then post-reveal

Pre-reveal is mostly just what I described in the intro post, they're all stupid and I have a bunch of interactions I wanna draw for it. They're so, so incredibly oblivious it's so much fun. Picture this:

Moon recounts the night at work, the moment of victory when he managed to trip Robin up, giving him a headstart and resulting in a mild inconvenience (think something bruised, at worst sprained) for them. Sun simply nods along, agreeing on principle but honestly, he's just already thinking of how Y/N seems to have had a really bad day at work, limping in while cursing under their breath, so he's really thinking of doing something nice for them before leaving for his own shift (: No dot connecting happening

Or Sun's kind of accidental crafting hobby (he's an expert, he's not half-assing his cover story) carrying consequences for Moon, too Robin: Taking the "eyes on the back of your head" a bit too literally, no? Dusk: What are you talking about? Robin: There's. There's a googly eye stuck there. With glitter I think Dusk, internally: SUN I SWEAR TO GOD

The reveal itself is pretty much the only part I've planned to include angst - self doubt, frustration, and somewhat betrayal too for all of them. Messy, and not too thought out yet, but it'll be a whole thing!

Post-reveal on the other hand. That's gonna be stupid fun again, because now all three idiots are in on it and cover for each other. Their organization would shame them forever if not outright fire them for being so damn stupid if they learned their cohabitation was an accident, so they simply don't mention it to anyone.

Leads to fun moments when the presumed rivals start defending each other -

someone: Dawn dropped out of today's mission, said something personal came up Y/N, who begged him to stay home to wait for the plumber to fix some pipes bc they have a meeting with someone high up they can't cancel: he mentioned a funeral someone: oh, huh. my condolences later: Sun: Y/N. what funeral would we go to Y/N: IDK I PANICKED

Someone happens to ask Dusk what funeral they went to, he deadpan replies "our grandmother's", no one asks again

Also Moon will never let Y/N live it down once he realizes they lied about pretty much all their scars to make them sound cooler than they actually are, because for some reason being a literal secret agent isn't cool enough for Y/N. They almost regret making up all those dramatic stories. Almost.

Gonna stop here for now so I still have stuff to talk about when my brain isn't quite as mushy, but super super giddy that people like my silly little au idea!! I just love identity shenanigans with a focus on differing dynamics so so much, so I had to make that a reality, glad to have people with me on the ride <3

Amazing chapter as usual, Oda really trying to kill us and I love him

First of all we start with the info that vice admiral T Bone has been killed and that it was because of his bounty and can I just, congratulate Oda at the amazing way he demonstrated to us how these bounties are horrible????

Because that vice admiral was genuinely a good person! When we first met him it was obvious he is the kind of guy who wouldn't hesitate 100% to do something to help someone even if it was harmful to himself! And I bet he wouldn't defend himself against people like that civilians because for him how could you look at starving people and hurt them and defend yourself knowing that this is the best option for them!

I'm speaking for myself at least here but when Cross Guild was established and the marine bounties introduced I was happy because Fuck the Marines! And who's gonna use the bounty system? Pirates or bounty hunters! I have never thought of civilians And when I saw Koby's bounty I was proud because look at my boy! Five stars! And the only people hunting him at that time were pirates!

But now?

I'm hit with the reality that most marines aren't evil, that most of them genuinely want to help people, and that these bounties added a new element entirely which are the people

Because you always had the civilians that where tired of the unjust system and became revs, civilians that reported on pirates for their bounties, civilians that tried to be unnoticed because you just want to live AND NOW YOU ADD A SYSTEM WHERE AT THE DROP OF A HAT A CIVILIAN CAN SELL A MARINE TO A PIRATE!!!

The whole status quo of the universe is distributed because before this, only pirates needed to be always on edge bc a civilian could report them, they basically had no safe space except pirate territories and Marines were always safe with the civilians and vice versa!

NOW NO PARTY IS SAFE WITH OTHER

None of them could feel at ease around the other how could they? When they could be betrayed this easily!

Sengoku is right because this? This is going to weaken the Marines it will bring the morals down! If it goes on like this people will leave the marines because being a marine like that would mean never being safe!

The last few chapters where all about showing us how most of the major powers in the world are starting to move which was already disrupting the status quo

But now showing that not only are the major powers are moving but that entire relationship between two major factions are changing this quick??? The status quo is dead and its body is being trampled and I love it!

Way to show how shit is gonna be like from now on

Now onto Buggy!

So am gonna be honest, young buggy? I loved him he's awesome he's my boy, but older buggy? 😬 It just always felt so weird his relationship with shanks always puzzled me because shanks is not an idiot he would when someone really hated him and when Buggy trampled the strawhat after he knew of shanks

I was like how could you? How could hate him this much? Then I knew it was Roger's and he must have known so how? Why did he change this much? Because seeing young Buggy that guy didn't hate Shanks that was usual arguing

I honestly always considered Buggy's portrayal a mistake from Oda, like he established him in a way and now regretted it and changed it

Like I thought there's no way you can do anything to make this change believable

But this chapter? I was wrong you could do something

You could show his inferiority complex, show it subtle, show it growing, show how much he believed in Shanks, show how much Shanks'refusal broke his heart, was for him like trampling on their captain- father's legacy! He threw away his own dream for him! There was no one worthier than him! AND YOU DO THIS!? YOU GIVE UP!?

Of course Shanks was a coward in Buggy's eyes! And is it even worth it to try and achieve his dream if the one who is the most worthy of it the most challenging one wouldn't even try? What win would this be?

And I just, I love this. I stand corrected because all of the above is just so freaking good that my appreciation for Buggy grew because shit now I see his thought process and it makes sense!

I love how he gets news Shanks started and he's like "REALLY? NOW? WHAT'S THE POINT?" but still immediately decided to chase his dream again I love it

And I love how this chapter kind of shows that Buggy is a truer pirate than Crocodile and Mihawk, because crocodile is like Moria a bit where his dreams got broken and he's just settling he doesn't about care about the One Piece now he just wants to stay at this nice spot

And Mihawk (is he a pirate really? Or just really hunter the marines? I really don't think he considered himself a pirate) is someone who achieved his dream and is just complacent now, doesn't care about anything he has no drive anymore his life is so boring he trained the man who will try to kill him to get his title(or you know give him the beating of a lifetime)

Buggy here is a pirate like Luffy in which he has a dream and he wants no needs to at least try and achieve it because he was a Roger Pirate and the captain was always a dreamer

(also I don't think that crocodile or Mihawk or weak for being nervous? Because they really don't care about this shit and now they have to go and fight three emperors and Mihawk is literally their only S tier fighter here???? Yeah I don't blame the XD)

(also Oda giving Buggy this moment is so good because One Piece had always been following your dreams and we always had young characters doing that or just deciding to start on their dreams and Oda essentially giving a middle aged man who already gave up on his dreams the chance to try again knowing there's strong possiblity he would fail but it doesn't matter because he's at least trying???? I'm sorry that hit too hard and actually made me feel so fucking optimistic I can't-)

Now for the revs can I say I'm finally happy we get some new faces for them? At least they aren't as few as I thought

Although I heard another theory saying that maybe Sabo had some Intel when he was in Mary Geosie that Lulusia would be targeted (in which Sabo's call would have just made the process faster) and so went to try and evacuate the country and that's why he was there which is a neat explanation but I prefer the first one idk

(also I saw someone on a YT live stream chat theorize that Sengoku saying he wants Garp to try a new rice cracker flavor is probably a code which I never thought of so I don't know I like it though)

I’m so glad you’re enjoying Twisted Wonderland! It’s so much fun and I kinda just started a month or so ago, so to answer a few things/to tell you a few things I wish I knew when I was just starting out (lol):

SSR cards are the highest rarity cards you can get.

Besides the prologue, so far in English there are 6 books that have been released (up to Idia). Malleus’s story has been partially released in Japanese and not at all in English yet. But there are plenty of events and the creator has said there will be more content even after this storyline.

The vignettes do not raise the power of a card, however they do add fun little stories you can read to learn more about a character and their interactions with others. And when you finish reading each part, you get gems. So, while vignettes are not required, they are a very fun addition. They also give you a sneak peek at what the card will look like once you groovify it (Groovifying it makes it stronger).

Don’t forget beyond leveling up your cards to also LEVEL UP YOUR SPELLS! That is so helpful and can be done when you view the cards individually (the button next to the mirror) and go to the “spell levels” tab. This makes even weak attacks stronger and some attacks get bonuses at higher levels!

The exams, the guest room/crafters gauntlet, and friendship boosts are important. Especially the friendship levels - so be sure to take the alchemy lessons with Crewel. Friendship popcorn is your friend as well.

And last but not least……… LEONA DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER IN HIS BOOK OMFG. The reason why we all say his story is the worst is not only because the end is so rushed and he just kinda comes off as a jerk, but like… he as the main focus of the overblot barely gets ANY screen time or focus. We’re focused more on Ruggie tbh. And it SUCKS. But the novelization is apparently SO much better in this regard. There was a tumblr post going into this and Leona’s post overblot speech and it just hits home SO HARD. And I really wish the game had done more for Leona because our lion man deserved better. 😭😭😭
