Do you see that giant chive? It’s an absolute monster - it made it through the winter and now it’s kinda …. A mascot. It’s so big and everyone marvels at it. Sometimes a leaf with collapse under its own weight so I’ll harvest that and it serves dozens of salads. There’s a bunch of little pathetic chive seedlings at its feet, with this giant looming over them. It goes up to my hips and each leaf is much thicker around than my thumb

This is my repousse drawing/carving of the photo I took of the basil in my grandmother's garden. I actually drew it by freehand directly onto the surface. I was pleased with how it came out, giving that it was a space of 5"x 5." :-)
This is a photograph I took of some basil that I helped plant in my grandmother's garden. I thought it would be cool to photograph my favorite herb in black and white.

Ok, so, random question, if hypothetically speaking, I were to post pictures of my son (my basil plant) would it be enjoyed by the masses.?

Those Insatiable Mosquitoes
I simply went out on my patio to water my one and only plant, my basil plant, which I might add has been flourishing. I have been thoroughly enjoying my caprese salads! But, that one short excursion, was lambasted by a covert watch-party. Argh!
An army of mosquitoes were deployed and took advantage of this lily-white fresh meat! The only good that came out of that short trip outside, was this…
