“Actually, he’s kind of right. Mike would be more qualified for that. But the truth is, I don’t want to be in the Elite Four.”

“For someone who believes in breaking limits, it’s strange to hear you strive for less.”

“It’s because Cheren made Jet realize it’s not his limits he wants to break. He want’s to help others reach their full potential.”

“Wow, Cheren sounds like a good teacher.”

“I suppose strength comes from progression, after all.”

“I hope that doesn’t stop you from improving, Jet. It’s hypocritical to encourage strength while staying stagnant.”

“Of course not! I’m not done breaking your limits yet! What kind of leader would I be if I didn’t help you become the best version of yourself?”

“You never cease to amaze me, Jet.”

Holiday time! Here's a gift from Cheren, wrapped almost a little too neatly. Inside is a couple of shirts ( one themed around lilligant and the other depicting a samurott ), a set of cute accessories for his pokemon, a small stuffed cottonee plush, and ( as is customary ) a loose handful of Hershey's Kisses.

“Cheren the bewear. Chewear, mah boi. Always comin’ through with the kisses for his ol’ buddy Touya. You really wanted t’make up for lost time, huh?”

“I’ll make good use of these. Delia and Ribbon are gonna love these on stage. I’ll convince Tempest ta put somethin’ on his hard-shell, just ya wait!”

He raises his hand, holding up a simple little gift bag, complete with some tissue paper on top. Inside, he would find a sleek black box, unmistakably the latest model of RotomTablet, and a custom-made plaque with his name impressed in it.

“Use it for you, or use it for ya class, Teach. Rotomtech’s all the rage in Galar right now, yanno? If anythin’, it could be a nice little comedy partner ta lighten up a lecture or somethin’. Oh, and before I forget...”

He also holds up a little bag of dark chocolate kisses.

“Aheh.”
