so at this point everyone’s made a crack at Watson and Holmes for going years living together and never telling each other about their respective brothers. But like. Watson never told Holmes about his brother because he didn’t like talking about him. He and his brother had a complicated relationship and I’m sure Watsons feelings about him only got more complicated after he died. Holmes never told Watson about HIS brother just cus he’s weird like that and almost as soon as he does get talking about Mycroft, he’s singing his praises.

I have this idea that when Watson found out about Mycroft at first he kinda rationalized Holmes never telling him about him by going “well, maybe they just aren’t close. maybe there’s a little hostility there. Maybe Holmes is jealous of him or something or other.” because, well. That’s why he didn’t tell Holmes about his brother. He couldn’t fault him if that was the case.

Until, of course he actually meets Mycroft in person and it’s very clear that Holmes was being completely genuine in his praise of his brother. And they don’t seem like they have a strained relationship at all. In fact, they’re happy to see each other. And they’re so alike in personality. Mycroft is pleasant to him on first meeting. He and Sherlock fire deductions back and forth like it’s a game to them, and in all honesty it might be. He writes that being reminded that Holmes has a family reminded him of Holmes’ humanity.

Do you think that Watson looks at the Holmes brothers dynamic and feels a little bittersweet remembering his own brother?

that the key difference between sokeefe and sofitz being that keefe appreciates Sophie being a girl boss and follows her lead while fitz feels threatened by her authority and wants to be in charge of the relationship

like I think that’s one of the reasons I didn’t like sofitz as much in the books because fitz kind of has some toxic masculinity insecurities that get taken out on Sophie which bugs me, like has he met his mother?? or sister?? I don’t think he has an issue with strong woman it’s just, he’s had all this privilege and expectations like he said in the stellarlune, and it just doesn’t mesh with sophie. I’m glad they worked that out with cognate training though, I think it will improve their friendship.

but that’s part of the reason sokeefe works as the dynamic is the opposite, where sophie can be a leader and keefe will just follow her, as he should,

just realized that the only knowledge on humans' eye colors the witches (and grimwalker) have are Luz and Camila, both brown, a color that witches have too. So when ppl ask about Hunter and Amity's eyes they'll get so gd confused. At least hunter can say he's albino, he's blonde and pale enough for it to make sense. Amity, though, her eyes are way too golden to just be weird hazel.

Dani loves traveling, but she loves the sea the most.

It's just so wild, so untamable. She loves it!

In fact, when she takes a trip into the Zone, she seeks out Youngblood to reminisce about the sea. But Youngblood's never actually been to it.

He thinks it sounds super cool though!

In fact, his old ship, The Caleuche, still works beautifully as a Ghost Ship and a Proper Ship! Since it used to be his, he should be able to visit if she uses it! She just has to figure out how to get it out of the Zone.

So she tests a theory. Is The Caleuche ghost enough to get souped?

Yes. Yes it is.

She soups The Caleuche, leaves the Zone, and heads to the Pacific.

The Caleuche is great; she steers herself when it gets rough but follows orders, she can submerge but the interior is still dry and doesn't appear to run out of air, and whenever she surfaces she's so brightly lit and fun looking that recently deceased sailors like to come aboard and party before deciding to move onto the Ghost Zone through the natural portal in the Brig.

Dani thinks she may be making Youngblood's crew larger, but that's Danny's problem.

Not all ghosts go. Some stay on the ship. There's a doctor in a really old uniform, Mikhail, who can only speak Ghostspeak and Russian. There's a lady pirate, Jacquotte, who would rather spend her afterlife partying on the seas than going with the rest of the Ghosts to the Zone. There's a chef that wears some modern sort of chef uniform that only speaks Ghostspeak and Korean, Eun-Woo, who insists on making sure she eats a balanced diet. A big, growly sailor dressed like he's from the mob like in the movies, Frankie, but he just sits around and whittles wood or intimidates the meaner Ghosts into backing down so she doesn't have to fight.

They're her crew! Sure, it's way less than Youngbloods, but she likes it that way.

Sometimes she comes across humans doing stupid stuff, or getting in trouble, or even Atlanteans getting in trouble, and she saves them from their own mess.

One time she found a man with tattered green and black suit, with a very pretty ring, unconscious and floating on some weird metal wreckage.

So she hauled him aboard and let the doctor treat him, ordered The Caleuche to submerge, and dropped him off at a busy port.

What Dani doesn't realize is that she's getting Deified by sailors across the world.

A laughing child that saves those who can be saved, and reaps the ones who can't. A benevolent Goddess of the Sea.

That when she dropped off that Green Lantern at The Metropolis Harbor, videos caught a brightly lit, vaguely see through ghost ship rise from the waters. Recordings of laughter and music aboard, with the people on it very clearly dead and wearing uniforms from all walks of life would make the rounds.

That she herself, decked out in her new pirate gear, flickered into existence from nothing and gently laid the Green Lantern on the ground before disappearing.

Then the ship went back underwater.

If I could pitch season 16 of Supernatural:

Dean wakes up and it turns out that everything from 15x18 was an Empty Nightmare because he actually grabbed Cas just before he got taken, so got pulled in too.

Sam and Jack have been trying to get them both out for 5 years.

Jack still got the God Powers but he's whimsical with them and retains his personality. He wants to try and preserve human free will. But also helps in small ways where he can. (and still pops into the bunker for a bowl of cereal from time to time)

Sam is the 'new Bobby' in the MOL bunker - sending out hunters and knowing all the lore about all the monsters. (Also he practices witchcraft on the side)

No blurry wife - Sam and Eileen are engaged - and no Dean Jr. But! they are considering having a kid soon. And! They can get married now that Dean and Cas are back!

Dean and Cas heartfelt reunion!!! Clinging hug!!!! Never let me go again!!!! We're not talking about the confession but we both want to!!!!! etc etc

Cas is still an angel and Jack offers to make him an archangel !! Cas feels like he should say yes out of obligation (even if he doesn't want to leave) but Dean actually FINALLY asks him. to stay? (Cas immediately declines Jack's offer)

Dean struggles with the memories of his Empty Nightmare. (It was just SO bad. But also he tries to describe Old Man Sam and his bad hair and that cheers him up.)

The original Death is back because he never really died, he just didn't want to be involved in all the Winchester shenanigans. But he's back now that all the world-ending chaos is over. (Tessa is also back as his second-in-command)

Billie is the new ruler over the Empty, and it's a place of eternal rest now. Very peaceful. Meg is there and she's having a great time relaxing.

Crowley comes back as a human for a second chance. He's still kind of an ass but he's lovable with it.

Lots of reunions and cameos. It's magic you can bring all sorts of characters back to life - a lot of them died unfairly in the first place. Bring them all back!

Dean! and! Cas! Kiss!

I want all the genres of kiss. Confused. Desperate. Relieved. Passionate. Tender.

The season is all very character focused and character driven and ties up any loose ends the show had left.

The drama comes from internal character struggles and with Dean and Cas figuring out where they fit into this 5 years on world now. (The answer is together doing whatever they want to and Dean comes to the realisation he wants to retire, but he struggles with reconciling that he wants to retire and Sam doesn't and they have to go on different paths now).

The series ends with the big Sam/Eileen wedding and it's just a huge party and gathering of all the cameos you can possibly think of. Friends, family, frenemies, some beloved characters who only appeared in one episode... they're all there.

Dean proposes to Cas by taking the loop from Baby's keys out of his pocket and getting down on one knee and using it like a ring stand-in (it's way too big but it's symbolic and cheesy and sweet and it doesn't matter)

Of course he says yes.

Thinking about Cass and moral codes and how her moral lines, her black and white attitude towards killing , is not because she doesn't understand moral grey areas. She emphasises with every single killer, she projects on them, she wants to save everyone, from a woman in an alley to a man on death row. No one had to make her follow a moral code, in fact the people in charge of her childhood would very much prefer if she didn't have the code she does! She chose it herself, chose exactly what her line would be. And within that line, that clear line she's decided of "nobody dies", there is so, so much grey. Every killer she's helped, every person she couldn't save, has taught her of another shade of grey.

Her attitude against killing isn't there because she doesn't understand morally grey situations. It's there because she understands the moral greyness so deeply, in a way not even Bruce can. She looks at it, projects on it, is saddened and disgusted and furious and sometimes even despairing at the things she's seen and the situations she's encountered.

And she chooses to stick with her line in the sand anyways. You'll never convince her that killing is the solution to anything. It doesn't mean she can't ever be reasoned with, she put the man on death row back because his victim's mother made her feelings on the entire thing very clear. But despite how it shook her, despite how she failed to save that man, she still went out the following night determined that nobody will die. Nothing can ever shake that moral center of hers, even when she fails it just reinforces the trauma that formed her worldview in the first place. Is it healthy? Not at all. Is is entertaining to read? Absolutely
