I feel like I need to see the version of this where Bard drops the Arkenstone. Trying to be all dramatically nonchalant with the tossing, misses the catch, it rolls across the ground and he has to jump off his horse, chase it, scramble across the ground, clear his throat and try to go back to the threat with a straight face. Meanwhile, Thranduil is trying to disassociate himself entirely as he mentally face palms. 'Cause I have crap coordination and I know that would happen to me!

Portraits of Bard and Thranduil I made for @peonybroadbeltofbuckland ‘s Christmas gift !! It was a bit out of my comfort zone but I’m happy with the result, and I think she was too 🤭 (which is the most important!)

If you like LOTR/The Hobbit/Barduil, you should definitely check out her stories because she’s an incredible writer !!

(And yes I forgot to take off some tools before taking a picture. I’ll never be that perfectly aesthetic artist. Messy til the end seems to be my curse.)

There are about a bazillion different leaves for the Valar only know how many different kind of shrubbery here, and while Erestor can tell birch from oak, Glorfindel is sorting leaves into categories like „funny looking tree“, „odd looking tree“ and „tree-like tree“.

This will end in disaster. We need an expert.
