So I decided to make a cute “getting mated” type picture for Hana and Dhurgan since I already did one for Dhurgan and Homraz. These two look so frickin’ cute! I also wanted it to look like an old photo of theirs.

Now if only I could actually finish my story.

okay i’m gonna assume you mean the gaang’s favorite fruits and not mine, but for what it’s worth, everyone who knows me even a little knows what my favorite fruit is...

aang: i just get the vibe that he really loves lychees. i’ve even written about it before

katara: toss-up between mangoes, and zuko <3

sokka: has been known to enjoy apples, which makes sense; they’re a solid, dependable, practical fruit. he seems like he’d also enjoy pineapples (idk i just get that vibe). but his favorite fruit is “smoothies”

toph: pears, grapefruits, persimmons. fruits that are normie-adjacent...

suki: clementines. they’re a great to-go snack, and they’re the perfect intersection of sweet and tart :)

azula: cherries and grapes. the first time she eats a cherry that hasn’t been de-pitted or a grape that hasn’t been de-seeded (and probably peeled, too, let’s be real) she experiences a profound and unsettling paradigm shift.

mai: pomegranates. the mess....... the decadence...... the drama.......

ty lee: tomatoes. cuz she’s quirky like that

zuko: so he also really loves mangoes and pomegranates, but those are like, katara and mai’s things, so he knows he has to pick another fruit to be his favorite. he goes with kumquats

appa: watermelon. they are like grapes to him

momo: peach. duh <3

Hi there! I found your blog on my dash, and it’s been a huge help. I’m writing a slice-of-life/urban fantasy story in which one of my main characters has some form of an anxiety disorder and PTSD. It resulted from abuse. But I don’t know much about how to portray Generalized Anxiety and more specific types. As such, my character only suffers from night terrors and triggered panic attacks. Do you know any stereotypes to avoid, as well as things you’d wish people would know about GAD?

For stereotypes, I’d like to see characters with anxiety and trauma portrayed in ways other than as a quiet, shy character who jumps when a pin drops-- these absolutely are ways in which anxiety can present itself, and it’s the only sort of representation in most media, when in real life, anxiety can present itself in many different ways-- anger, hyperactivity, and even masked so well it doesn’t present itself at all (and all of these can show up in the same person at different times, too). I’d like to see anxious characters who take up space, physically and emotionally, as well. For people with PTSD, I’d like to see characters with triggers other than loud noises, too-- maybe something very specific, like the taste of a food, or something that might be considered embarrassing. I think it’s also important to show characters with PTSD resulting from other traumas than war or physical abuse-- other types of familial abuse can be just as damaging.
