The balloon flowers are beginning to open and I just adore them. They are a very unusual and old-fashioned perennial that I don't often see in garden centers. I planted these from bare roots years ago and they've turned into these wondrously tall plants. One of them self seeded as well. The flower starts off looking like a Victorian hot air balloon and opens up to reveal a rather sexual-looking stamen. I highly recommend these for the cottage garden. They are pest and disease free as well.
Balloon flower, scientifically known as Platycodon grandiflorus, is a charming perennial plant native to East Asia. It is a member of the Campanulaceae family and is also commonly known as Chinese bellflower or Korean bellflower.
Balloon flowers are associated with perseverance and endurance. The unopened buds symbolize patience and anticipation, while the bursting open of the flowers represents the realization of hopes and dreams.
In addition to their ornamental value, balloon flowers have been used in traditional medicine in East Asia. The roots and leaves are sometimes used for their supposed medicinal properties, including anti-inflammatory and expectorant effects.

Balloon Flowers - A Little Rain Oracle
Balloon Flowers, also known as Chinese Bellflower in East Asia, is a vibrant violet flower known for its endurance – it'll grow in the wilderness with ease. The flower gets its name from the bulb-like shape it forms before it blooms. Although once it's fully grown, the bright flower takes on a star-like shape.
According to Asian folklore, the star’s points symbolise the five senses or the natural elements, showing a long history in touch with divinity, But what makes the plant unique are the qualities contained within the petals. Ancient Chinese medicine was the first to tap into the plant's healing properties, especially for inflammation, cough, phlegm, and hypotension.

This is Empress Lynette's court; ( this is also Lynette.)
Lynette is real particular about who she lets near her and who she confides in. There are many who are loyal to here or able to give her what she wants , these people were able to win her over in some fashion. They either help provide the empire as a whole with something very needed or wanted , or they serve Lynette in some other fashion like advising or information gathering. Lynette knows each of her court members very well , but it would be a stretch to say all of them are her friends but they are in good standing to have come this far. The most one could say were her friends in this court are three people, and one of them isn't a monarch.      Still , each member contributes to building and sustaining both their own kingdoms ans well as Lynette's empire.
I made the group pic of all the royal court members first , then uploaded them as pieces. It will be easier to reference them instead of uploading all their info on the same description.  They can be found here if you want to know more about each one. I need to draw a more specific map of where this all takes place , including Pasha's town layout , Vasilica's town by the sea, and the Florien colonies surrounding it.
I left them kinda bear  being that I would love to give each a cute outfit later. its worth considering. Maybe one or two at the most because for some , their foliage is already their clothing. Like serenade, talas, and Saan.
Monarchs in order , I’ll add links to their specific info as they get uploaded.
