"A-Ashido!" Midoriya exclaimed. "Wh-Why'd you-!"

"'Cause Bakugou's a bully, Midobabe!" Ashido exclaimed. "And I decided I'm not gonna stop being a bully hunter just 'cause I'm a Hero student!"

"It's chill, nerd." Bakugou groaned from his spot on the carpet, where Kirishima was frantically covering him in band-aids. "I deserved it. Plus..." He trailed off.

Midoriya and Ashido stared at Bakugou as he began to turn redder and redder.

"What." Midoriya hissed.

"B-Bakubro?" Kirishima stammered. "Bakubro, what are you-"

"L-Listen-" Bakugou growled, "When- It was- When Mina-"

"FIRST NAMES?!" Kirishima exclaimed.

"Oh, I hate this." Ashido mumbled.

"LISTEN!" Bakugou screeched. "If Earphone Girl can have a thing for Animal Boy, of ALL people-"

"I mean, that's different." Kirishima stated as if it was obvious. "Kouda has his own unique charm and he's really sweet."

"HUH?!" Bakugou shouted, distracting Ashido from being throttled by Midoriya for what was probably "trying to steal Kacchan" (it was unclear what it actually was).

In the 1-B Dormitory, Kendou sighed. "Monoma, what did you do to our class whiteboard?"

"How did you get the pushpins INTO the whiteboard?" Kaibara wondered, looking closer.

"None of that's important." Monoma slapped his pointer stuck against a mess of photographs and strings. "Listen. I've been connecting the dots and I think 1-A is in a twenty-person polyamorous marriage."

"Have you been sleeping?" Honenuki asked, concerned.

"No. Okay, look, CLEARLY Bakugou and Midoriya are somehow in the middle of all this, but-"

You know what I love the idea of?

Bakugou and Mina being hand-holding buddies.

You can’t tell me that as Mina latches herself on to bkg and they grows as friends and grow trust that these two people who, most likely, have a fear of hurting someone by touching them with their quirks, don’t bond.

Like, bkg produces nitroglycerin as sweat, we know this. He, especially as he gains friends and changes, is probably afraid of hurting someone with his sweat. Whether it be by making someone prone to explosions or just idk poisoning them?

Then there’s Mina. From what I know we haven’t really seen anything saying that she ever felt negatively towards her quirk but you can’t tell me that someone who produces literal acid, especially as a kid when she couldn’t control it that well, she wasn’t afraid of hurting someone. She wants to be a hero, why wouldn’t she be afraid of hurting someone? Accidents happen too, and when she first got her quirk it must’ve been hard, and she never would want to hurt someone like that.

So I introduce:

Mina and Bakugou build enough trust in each other that when their anxious or feeling shitty they hold each others hand. It’s such a small action to anybody else, but to these two who are incredibly scared to hold people’s hands invade they hurt them, it means so much that they can relate and trust each other enough to do this

Alright so here’s a big one in terms of my learning process, it’s setting the baseline for me learning “shading” because i used to not understand for a very long time…and now i know I’m an idiot. A lot of the colourings I did after this point were inspired by demon slayers style. Where their clothes despite all being black they hade the shade of their signature colour. Like how shinobu’s was dark purple and i really liked that! I also like deku’s hair here. Bakugous really pale tho

Mina’s training and the Bakusquad

Fanon often depicts Ashido with the Bakusquad (which personally, I think of as more of a Kirisquad). But aside from her bond with Kirishima, she doesn’t have many scenes with the rest of Bakusquad: She failed her practical exam with Kaminari, got herself invited by Sero to the boys’ room at camp, and tried to get Bakugou into Christmas gear…

His arms did end up inside the sleeves, so he did end up giving into peer pressure.

Horikoshi gave us ONE single panel that showed Bakugou (and Todoroki) helping Ashido with her new technique, in preparation for the final battle. I would have wanted to see more of that. I also headcanon an older brother younger sister dynamic between Ashido and Bakugou, because Bakugou could really need every single chill person, who’s willing to befriend him. And while Ashido already had her “great moment” in the war, more scenes of female characters receiving productive training would have been very welcome.

Imagine if she had more scenes training and fighting alongside the Bakusquad? Imagine acid-soaked tape that transports delayed electric shocks?
