Well now that RvB:0 is over, time to share some thoughts;
This was originally posted on Twitter so it might be a bit...meandering? Just because of how it was originally formatted.
Overall, I think I'd give the season a solid C+
It wasn't a bad season, but there were a lot of little things that added up over time that I feel like could've been done a little bit better. The main two were the pacing and the animations.
Having a season that was mostly mocap was really cool! I know this is total blasphemy, since I'm an RvB fan, but regular machinima is kind of boring to me bc you can only do so much with it. On the flipside, it takes a lot of skill to nail down characterization with it alone. Mocap and keyed animation create the opportunity to show characterization through body language and the like, which is why I like it more (I'm a simple bitch, I acknowledge this.) That being said, the way both these forms of animation were utilized in Zero were kinda overdone.
Let's talk about exaggerated movement in animation as if it's a dial for a minute. 1 is characters standing still and talking with barely any movement. 10 is movement being HEAVILY exaggerated (example: https://youtube.com/watch?v=J8XxuW-Orww) Knowing that, I'd put the IDLE ANIMATIONS (where the characters are standing around and talking) for Zero at a 7, when they could have probably been at a 4 or 5. The only reason I'm criticizing this at all is that this was the case for pretty much every scene like this.
Now, obviously the Zero team had a LOT working against them. We're in a pandemic. Most of them were probably working from home during production. And said production ended WHILE THE SEASON WAS BEING RELEASED (which is a way RT has repeatedly shot this show in the foot across multiple seasons, but that's another conversation entirely.) RvB isn't exactly known for it's stellar animation like RWBY and Gen:Lock. It's a machinima. It started out as  some dudes fucking around on an XBox. That being said, when we compare Zero's animation to S9, the difference becomes very apparent. Now obviously these were two different teams, but I think S9's animations hold up far better than Zero's will in the long run, simply bc they seemed to focus more on realistic movement than trying to make their animations look cool. S9 and later seasons that use mocap/keyframed animation still look really cool! They're clunky in some parts, sure, but it's excusable. Zero's animations are admittedly less clunky, but they trade that out for being overdone in some parts, and are at times difficult to follow.
Overall, I hope the team grows and learns how to find a happy medium between what S9 and later seasons had going for them, and the animation they did for Zero. Making animations that look cool only get you so far, and overdoing them can cancel out all the work put into them.
[Insert comment about me hoping I’m articulating well bc I have a headache bc I drank like one cup of water total yesterday bc I have no sense of self-preservation. Apparently.] :’D
This is already super long, but a quick note about the pacing is that I'm sure it'll hold up well once the season is condensed in DVD format. But as individual episodes, it tends to go a bit fast. If we see this same cast and crew again for the next season I hope they find a way to slow things down just a tad. I think some of the pacing issues come from the fact that they had to cut some things from the story. Which is why I'd like to reiterate the point about production wrapping up while the season is airing. Idk WHY it's a thing with RvB. Maybe they do it for other shows too. But it's a bad practice and it leads to similar issues like the aforementioned, and crunch. I'd be more than willing to wait longer for a season that doesn't finish production while airing if it means better pacing, writing, and animation. Not to say that the writing was terrible, the story was actually very cool, but it DOES go hand-in-hand with pacing. And when you're cramming exposition into each episode...it becomes a problem.
I'd like next season to have a story that's tightened up, that doesn't get anything cut out of it. Because I think, if given the time, the current team could make something really amazing.
I feel like I'm rambling/failing to get points across at this point (headache.) So I'll wrap up with some things I'd like to see from this team if they come back for another season;
More time for idle character interactions (to build on characterization and relationships)
Slightly slower pacing
Toned down idle animations (where appropriate)
And in a perfect world, they'd get to wrap up production before the season starts airing.
All in all, I'd like to see this team make another season! I think they did well with the odds stacked against them. RvB:0 is DEFINITELY one for the books in terms of technical execution and the amount of hype the production team had for it! But it could also use a lot of work. I'm sure the team learned a lot this season, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with if they work on the next!
Also, in terms of how much fun the season was to watch? Totally an A-! It was SUPER fun to sit through! (And that's arguably the most important thing imo) The C+ is mostly for how the technical side of things was handled.
(I could continue on here and start nitpicking things that I wish they had done differently [like giving us a chance to see how Wash reacts to the implant/showing us why he changed his mind about having something jammed in his head,] but that’ll make this post even longer, and I need to go get groceries so...:’D)
TL;DR; Season was fun to watch, but the animations were overdone and the pacing was way too fast, overall leaving a lot to be desired in the final product. But I still hope the team gets a chance to make another season, because I think they probably learned a lot during Zero

(Spencer Reid x fem!Reader)
The one where Spencer’s TA falls in love with him.
Length: 3.3k
A/N: VAGUE SPOILERS FOR S15 AHEAD! AGE GAP (10 years). Read at your own risk everybody, very angsty. NO PART TWO’S WILL BE WRITTEN. enjoy :)
masterlist
It wasn’t hard, really. It wasn’t hard at all to fall in love with Spencer Reid. In fact, it was the easiest thing she’d ever done. It came so easily that it shook her to the core.
Really, what’s not to love? He is a badass FBI agent with a heart of gold, he can literally recite almost any book to her on demand, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that he looks like he’s been sculpted by a coveted artist.
She didn’t know though, she didn’t know how easy it would be to be completely enamored by someone. She didn’t know what kind of life she’d be stepping into when she’d applied to become his Teaching Assistant. She’d heard from her peers that there was a part-time professor who had been looking for a TA. She signed up without a second thought, desperate for any kind of connections that could possibly help her with her PhD in forensic psychology. When she’d learned that he was a certified genius whose other job was to be a real life superhero, she hoped and prayed he’d pick her application.
She was over the moon when she found out that he did indeed pick her out of all the students who had applied. This was an opportunity of a lifetime. She’d seen his university ID photo on the website and thought he was attractive, but seeing him in person was almost magical. The camera definitely could not quite pick up on the subtle gold flecks in his irises or the silky sheen of his hair. And that smile. She was sure she could drown in it forever.
After being chosen and going through a number of interviews, Y/N learned just how meticulous Dr. Reid was in everything he did. She helped him create the syllabus as well as build his lesson plans. Over the semester, she would go over his grading since he had the tendency to give students the answers instead of making helpful comments on the papers to make them think and reflect. She’d also learned about his particular aversion to technology, which meant they had multiple meet-ups when he was in town just so she can walk him through certain systems, like the university’s portal system as well as the email. She also showed him how to pose his answers as questions instead, explaining that sometimes, he shouldn’t answer their incomplete thoughts because it's an undergrad class. Also, with his unpredictable schedule concerning the FBI, she would often step in and teach his class whenever he was away on a case.
They’d become good friends outside of his office and classroom, probably closer than they should have been. He was just too likeable and she was always eager enough to hear what he had to say, thus a bond between them was born and reinforced each time they saw each other. He was so thoughtful, it shocked her. Once he’d heard her mention that she used to love collecting keychains when she was a child, and made sure to get her a new one from each state he’d visit thanks to his trips around the country. Her previous boyfriends were beyond disappointing in comparison to say the least, and they weren’t even dating. He knew her favorite coffee order by heart and often had it ready with a fresh croissant whenever they met at the university’s coffee shop and if they were meeting at his office, he’d take them to go.
It was little things like that that made her fall in love with him. And she knew, it’s not like she didn’t, she just chose to hide it with every cell of her being. Crushing on your professor is pretty common amongst university students, but being a TA and being desperately in love with your professor was a whole different kind of story.
She already admired his intelligence in class immensely, however hearing his stories from his time out in the field made her heart grow three times the size of normal. His stories ranged from being about geographical profiling, to action-packed anecdotes, and even funny moments with the team.
Was she constantly impressed by him? Yes.
Was she constantly worried about him? Also yes.
Which is why she’d practically made him adopt the habit of texting or calling her every time he landed in DC. They’d been chasing this unsub, Lynch, for months on end and he’d informed her that they were finally close to getting him. The last time they talked two days ago, he was feeling confident. But then it was just silence. He hadn’t texted her, he hadn’t called her. She didn’t even know if he was back in DC. Her mind took her places she didn’t want to go. He’d gotten so good with keeping her updated that this silence was turning her blood into ice water.
She’d left 11 missed calls so far. But she didn’t give up, she was determined to hear from him. The next morning she tried again, holding her breath and squeezing her eyes shut in a silent prayer.
“Hello?” Someone finally picked up, a woman.
“Hello? Who is this? I’m trying to reach Spencer Reid.” Y/N said into the phone, voice clearly on the edge of tears.
“Oh you must be Y/N Y/L/N. You’re Spencer’s TA. I’m Penelope Garcia, I work with Spencer.” She said into the phone evenly, calmly.
“Yes, I am. Did something happen to Spencer? He hasn’t contacted me in two days. Why do you have his phone?” Y/N worried into the phone. She could hear every heartbeat, loud and clear.
“Spencer is in the hospital. There was an explosion yesterday and he hit his head really hard. We found him passed out in his apartment this morning.” Penelope answered. Y/N’s eyes widened and she felt the tears slip from her eyes quickly. The panic began to set in.
“C-could you please text me the address?” Y/N managed to whisper into the phone through her tears.
“Of course, sweetie. He’s going to be okay. His mother is here, I’m assuming you know about Diana?” She asked tenderly.
“Yes, yes, I know. I’ll be there as soon as I can.” Y/N said, already rushing to put on shoes and looking for her keys.
The drive to the hospital wasn’t long, but Y/N felt like it took ages to get there anyway. Her breathing was uneven and her eyes were already swollen as if she’d been crying for days. There was a bad, bad feeling reverberating around in her chest. She’d somehow floated through the hospital like she was running on autopilot.
She’d found the room and met eyes with a blonde woman adorning two identical blue puffs in her hair. She would have thought they were adorable if she wasn’t panicking her heart out. She spotted Spencer laying on the hospital bed with oxygen tubes hanging around his ears and inserted into his nose. The sight made her stomach lurch. Something about the way his usually pink lips were drained of their color made her want to sob until tomorrow came. Beside the bed on the other side sat Diana Reid, a tall woman with short blonde hair. She’d seen her in photos before. Diana merely stared at her with a hint of a smile.
She stepped in the hospital room, swallowing down the bile in her throat, “H-Hi, I’m Y/N.” She waved tentatively into the room, almost unable to keep with the tensity of the two women’s gazes. She wiped at her eyes and stood at the foot of Spencer’s bed, “Is he going to be okay?” She asked, staring at the steady rise and fall of Spencer’s chest. That way it was reassuring to watch him. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears as she stood.
“The doctors are hopeful.” Penelope replied, assessing the young woman who just entered. She was much younger than she previously thought she was. Although she had no idea what to expect when it came to Spencer’s academic life, he was always surprising her.
Diana sat still and silent in the hospital chair, a pensive expression draped across her features. Penelope sensed a tension in the room and looked towards Diana, “Hey, Diana, would you like to come with me down to the cafeteria to fetch some jello for Spencer to eat when he wakes up?”
Y/N sent Penelope a sidelong glance filled with gratitude. She tuned out the sounds of Diana telling Penelope the story of the first time Spencer had jello as they exited the small room. She immediately pulled up the chair closest to his bed and grasped his hand tightly. She let out a shaky breath at the contact. Cold, his hand was so, so cold.
“Oh, Spencer, you scared the shit out of me.” She whispered, pressing her lips to the back of his hand quickly, “I could have lost you today...and-and I wouldn’t have known what to do with myself if that would have happened. I know you probably can’t hear me, but I still have to say what I’m going to say. I have to. For myself. So here goes,” she pauses, taking a deep breath, “there’s nothing that scares me more than losing you, and that thought alone terrifies me.” She sniffled, wiping away her tears, “What I feel for you terrifies me, Spencer. I didn’t know I was capable of loving someone so deeply until I met you. And...I don’t know what to do with all this love, I want to hand it all to you, let you see yourself the way I see you, but I can’t do that. I can’t.” She held back an incoming sob, whispering, “I can’t ask that of you.”
She bowed her head and rested it along his forearm, her silent tears soaking through the hospital sheets. The fear of grieving for him outweighed the fear of rejection. She’d never forgive herself if he died without knowing how big of a space he occupied in her heart. She didn’t know if she was brave enough to tell him to his face while he was awake, but this was a start. Solidifying her feelings was a start. And man, were they solid.
A few minutes later, her phone began to ring because of an endless stream of emails. There was a class today, and she’d have to teach it. She went back and forth from her phone to Spencer’s face and released a deep, heavy sigh from the pit of her chest. She stood from her seat and hovered her hand over his cheek before allowing it to rest timidly on his skin.
“I have to go, but I’ll see you soon.” She paused, chewing on her lip, “I love you.” She said softly, fresh tears making their way back to the brim of her eyes. She pulled away from him and exited the room swiftly.
Spencer’s bleary eyes opened slightly to just barely catch the sight of her disappearing into the hallway from which she came. Seconds later, Penelope and his mother came marching in, seeing his open eyes.
Penelope set down the cups of jello nearby and Diana made her way to her son quickly. He could barely keep his eyes open for long enough. It was a small achievement but they both held onto it dearly.
Hours later, he blinked his eyes open again as he heard his mother and Penelope conversing about his favorite type of cloud. Diana leaned over her son’s bed and set a comforting hand on his shoulder. He stared at her fondly.
“Am I alive or is this heaven?” He asked, smiling slightly.
“You are very much alive.” Diana smiled broadly at him.
Garcia had since gone back to the office to assist the team in finally closing the Lynch case. Spencer was just waking up from yet another snooze.
Diana looked at him closely, sometimes he felt she was the profiler in the room, “She told you didn’t she?”
Spencer rubbed at his eyes slightly, “Who are you talking about?” He yawned.
“The pretty girl who was in here earlier.” Y/N’s name had slipped her mind the second she said it. Spencer stared at his mother incredulously, shocked at just how clear her mind was at the moment. Diana took his silence as an affirmative and nodded at him.
“You should tell her.” She said definitively. For a moment, he doubted if he understood just what she meant, but he understood.
“How did you know?” Spencer asked curiously.
“I told you, a mother always knows. And I saw the way she looked at you. She deserves to know, Spencer.” Diana said.
She deserves to know.
The thought tumbled around in his head for days after he was discharged from the hospital. He was on medical leave for the moment but as soon as he could see straight, he took the train to her apartment. He’d been there a few times, they’d had a few casual dinners there while grading papers together or coming up with future lesson plans. His hands were on the verge of trembling as he knocked on her apartment door. The numbers nailed on the door mocked him as he stood waiting for her to open.
She frowned at the sound, she wasn’t expecting anybody. She pushed her laptop to the side and stood to straighten her pajamas, making her way to the door. She ripped it open as soon as she saw who it was.
“Spencer! Oh thank goodness you’re okay! I’ve been worried sick about you.” She threw her arms around his middle tightly, making him stagger a bit from the impact, but he enveloped her in his arms anyway. The contact was very welcome.
“Hey.” He smiled into the hug, his heart spilling with gratitude over being worthy enough of her attention. They separated from the embrace and she stared at him with a look resembling wonder.
“What are you doing here? I thought you still had a few more days off until you had to get back to work. Come in, come in.” She moved aside to let him in. She also moved a plethora of blankets and textbooks off the couch to make space for him to sit.
“I know, I’m sorry for kind of coming over unannounced. I didn’t mean to intrude or anything.” He eyed her matching set of cartoon character pajamas as he took a seat, making a mental note that it was the most adorable thing he’s ever seen. She blushed under his gaze but shook her head nonetheless.
“Oh come on, you know you’re always welcome here. Can I get you something to drink? Some water or coffee, maybe?” She asked.
“Water’s fine.” He smiled, leaning back into the couch. She nodded and made her way into the kitchen. Spencer’s shoulders untensed for a moment and he hadn’t realized that he’d been carrying so much of his worries in them around her. She came back with the water and took a seat next to him, angling her body to face him. He muttered a thank you as he sipped from it, unsure how to approach the situation.
“I wanted to thank you. For coming to the hospital to see me. That meant a lot.” He met her eyes and saw a flash of panic dance across her irises. How did he know she was there? Penelope probably told him, right? He couldn’t have heard her.
“Of course, Spencer. It’s the least I could do.” She smiled sweetly. His heart cleaved in his chest as he stared at the sweet girl in front of him.
What did he ever do to deserve her friendship?
He fidgeted with the glass in his hands, a silence beginning to drape over them.
“Is everything okay?” She asked, noticing his fidgeting.
He took a deep breath and set the glass down on the coffee table in front of them. He turned his body to face her and reached for her soft hands. Her breath hitched at the intimate contact, butterflies erupting in the pit of her abdomen.
“You are a remarkable person, Y/N. I’m so lucky to have you in my life. I see the absolute worst that humanity has to offer on a daily basis, but you have made it your mission to make my life easier. And you do, honestly, I wouldn’t know what to do without you.” He said with soft eyes and a half-laugh. She smiled back, she could practically feel the rush from his words directly in her brain.
“And it is an honor to be loved by you,” his voice hesitated to say the word, his eyes darkening with regret as he continued. Realization snapped into place for her as he said, “but I can’t give you what you need.”
He had heard her. He knew.
Her blood ran cold as she tore her hands away from his, as if the skin on his hands had the ability to burn her. He frowned as he watched her frantic eyes search his for any semblance of dishonesty. Her throat closed up over all the words that fought to surface. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came up. Instead, tears sprung to the corners of her eyes.
“What?” She whispered, brokenhearted and momentarily in disbelief.
“I’m sorry, Y/N.” He tried to console her but she was past the point of consolation.
“I-I understand.” She nodded painfully, tears cascading down her face before she even got the chance to wipe them away, “It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have said anything, it’s completely unprofessional.” She swallowed an incoming sob as best as she could.
“No, I’m glad you told me, but if I’m being honest, I knew long before it. This isn’t about professionality, I don’t care about that. But I care about you, a lot.” Spencer said softly, staring at the young woman in front of him. She shook her head, utterly devastated and doing her best to shield herself from his gaze. Thoughts escaped her as her heart took a deep-dive to settle in her abdomen.
“And I thought I should let you know how I feel. I love you, Y/N,” he paused, “just not in that way.” The soft voice he used was completely useless against the harshness of the words.
She tried, she tried her absolute hardest to suppress the incoming sob, but those words just about broke the dam. She rubbed at her eyes, nodding. He tried to set a comforting hand on her shoulder but decided against it. She took a deep breath and stood up from the couch.
That was enough humiliation for the day.
“No, no, I completely understand.” She said, voice wobbly and eyes ringed with red. He frowned up at her at the sight of her being so upset.
“Will you be okay?” He asked as he stood up from his seat. She laughed slightly, this man had devastated her, broken her heart with a few simple words and still wondered if she’d be okay. That’s Spencer Reid for you. The question made her heart ache and long for him more. His simplicity and good intentions made her question why the world wasn’t kind enough to let her have him.
“No, I won’t. And I probably won’t be okay for a long time. Because I will keep meeting men and keep comparing them to you so, until I stop doing that, no, I won’t be okay, Spencer.” She answered with a surprisingly stable voice. He frowned and nodded.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered, stepping forward to cup her cheek and gently use his thumb to wipe the remainder of her tears. Her glassy eyes bored right into his, her lips wobbling at the contact. She then closed her eyes and leaned her cheek into his palm, soaking in his warmth one last time before he tore himself away from her completely and showed himself out of the apartment without looking back.
That was when she allowed herself to fall apart. He heard her heart wrenching cries from behind the door and hesitated, but decided to walk away anyway with a chest heavy with regret.
She will never be enough for him, she thought.
He will never be enough for her, he thought.

16 Oct. Suptober: Delightful d-bags
"Hello, Meg." Cas had his arms around Jack and was trying to rub warmth back into the kid's shoulders. The look he gave Meg was far too fond for Dean's liking. "Welcome back."
s15 au: Meg; deancas
"Well, this feels like a decidedly Winchesterian decision. Which is to say, deranged," Meg said. She stood in the bunker hallway and eyeballed the wall tiles and light fixtures with tremendous skepticism. "You can't possibly have thought this was a good idea."
Dean hadn't, in fact, but now was not the time to mention it. He was busy helping yoink his kid out of a giant cosmic fissure.
Jack finished pulling the wretched rift to the Empty shut with his fingernails and was tugged backward into the hall as well, the last in a chain that started with Cas and ran to Dean, Eileen, and Sam, who was literally tied to Jack by what seemed to be a golden rope.
A couple of weeks ago Dean had chosen Wonder Woman for movie night. He wasn't regretting it per se, though the new accessories Jack had created were slightly unnerving.
"Hey, Sam," Meg called. "How many hair styling products do you use daily?"
"Eight," he confessed through clamped-together teeth.
"Cool lasso of truth, god-toddler," Meg said to Jack. "Is the invisible plane spoken for or can anyone call dibs?"
Jack made a gurgling sound from his spot on the floor. Before allowing Cas to wrap him in his trench coat, Jack flipped Meg the bird.
"Taught him that," Dean told Meg.
"Must make you proud," Meg murmured in her usual way. She fixed her eyes on Cas and Dean squared his jaw. She saw; she raised her hands like white flags. "Just wanted to say hello to our dear Clarence."
"Hello, Meg." Cas had his arms around Jack and was trying to rub warmth back into the kid's shoulders. The look he gave Meg was far too fond for Dean's liking. "Welcome back."
Meg's eyes lit up, as much with sarcasm as with gratefulness. "Thanks. I will admit that when you described this place, Castiel, I was expecting it to be less...gray."
"Sorry we haven't had much time to redecorate an access hallway to your exalted standards," Dean said.
"I appreciate the apology, Dean; sweet of you." Meg tugged at one of her leather jacket sleeves and for the first time, glancing down at her own hands, looked discomfited.
"Meg?" Cas asked.
It was the way he said her name -- like he genuinely cared how Meg was feeling -- that made Dean a little light-headed with love for him.
"I'm fine," she said, shaking her head as if to clear away any lingering malaise. As if to convince herself.
Cas stood and helped Jack up, and Sam and Eileen led Jack away to the bedrooms.
"Meg," Cas started.
She held up a hand again. "No. No. I am fine. You don't have to worry about me."
"In what way?" Dean said, giving her a hard look and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Dean," Cas said.
"You think I wanna go back there? Into the absolute horror of that vacancy? The endless, cold black void, every bad piece of shit that ever hit the fan, spinning over and over and over? That monstrous nothingness that wore me like a skin to hurt Castiel, and your son, and fuck only knows how many others?" Meg growled. "I will keep my fucking nose clean, thank you for asking."
Dean decided he wouldn’t dwell overmuch about her description of the Empty, because if he thought about it in the context of Cas trapped there, all those months, Dean would lose his mind.
"All right," he said. "You helped Cas escape." He was gritting his teeth like Sam. "You deserve a chance at redemption."
Meg's mouth quirked and her eyes flashed with humor.
"You're still a grade-A d-bag," Dean said.
"Love you too, cupcake." She blew him a kiss.
Cas let out a patient breath Dean chose to believe was aimed more at Meg than at him.
"Let's show you to your room," Cas said, taking Meg's elbow kindly.
As they passed, she turned and shot Dean the slyest possible expression.
He wouldn't kill her after they'd taken such pains to rescue her -- wouldn't kill her within the hour, anyway. Dean prayed to no-one in particular for forbearance and followed his husband, and his husband's demon friend, down the hallway.

Gotcha love prompt 14, the one about blushing, please!
This... this is so bad, I'm so sorry, but it's done! And I'm going with it because... yeah </3 Also, it's romantic I hope that's okay! Set... I don't even know, some point after s15 I guess? I've not proofread (as always.) Just under 1.5k!
14: "stop it." "but you're so cute when you blush."
No Warnings Apply
read on ao3!
It was no secret to anyone that Penelope Garcia was more outgoing than her partner- because boyfriend sounded so immature- Aaron Hotchner.
They were perfect for each other in that way. Aaron only stopped Penelope when he was afraid of her endangering herself or burning herself out, and Penelope knew how to encourage Aaron to dream without changing him.
But in almost every way imaginable, they are the complete opposites of each other. From their clothing to their reading habits to their handwriting to, well even the way they said thank you to other drivers, they have nothing in common. Which is why they've managed to last so long. Regardless. That's not the point.
The one thing Penelope Garcia and Aaron Hotchner have in common is that they don't hide. Not from each other. And not in the privacy of the home they have built together, after so many events almost took it from them permanently. It is the one thing they have always, and will always, agree on. Enough secrets have to be kept from the victims of loved ones, from their friends, and whilst they're on the job.
They have never allowed their home to be touched by those secrets. Or the darkness of their jobs. Not whilst the sun shines and the windows are open, allowing the light to stream in. When Jack is in his room, sleeping or doing whatever it is teenagers do, they will talk, but not before then. Because whilst they are both too… anything to be ordinary, they can cling to that piece of normalcy, and only face the horrors when they know they can be human.
But they always do it together. Their home is one of noise and love. It is bright and comforting. It is a real home, filled with laughter and smiles. Bad films and terrible jokes and bright lights. Traces of who they are can be found everywhere. Not a single room fits into a single aesthetic, but the people that love them most understand that the whole house is a combination of who they are. Much like Jack, who is also just like his first mother, in the best way possible.
All of this means that when Penelope comes home from a long day of filing, to find the house quiet, she feels a small amount of fear. Jack is at his theatre club, but it still doesn't explain the silence. Aaron should be in the garden, listening to an audiobook. Or testing out his latest recipe and dancing to music that only he enjoys. Maybe in the living room, grading and watching a soap opera he swears he only puts on in the background.
But he's not. And Penelope knows he's been going to all of his appointments, that he's completely healthy for someone of his age, but it doesn't stop her having to take a moment to breathe. Nothing bad has happened.
"Sweetness? I'm home!" She calls out.
There's an extremely loud crash from the upstairs bathroom, and as quickly as she can, she kicks her shoes off and runs up the stairs. There's more noise coming from the bathroom, but she has no idea what it could possibly be to do with.
"Aaron? Are you okay?" She asks, trying to open the door.
It's locked.
"You're not allowed to come in!" He shouts, but his voice is suspiciously high-pitched.
"Okay. I won't. Can you tell me what happened?"
"I'm fine."
"I'm sure you are. That's also nowhere near what I asked, so can you answer my actual question?" She teases.
Aaron sighs. "No."
"Aaron, why not?"
She hears the door unlock. For a moment, she almost opens it, but then she remembers what Aaron said to her, and she waits.
"You're not allowed to laugh," he says.
She's a little hurt that he thinks she would laugh at his misfortune, but she also knows that the brain isn't a completely rational thing. Also, she did laugh a little when he and Derek were fitting the shelves in the spare room and he dropped one on his foot, but it was his fault for looking so cute whilst in pain.
"Baby, I would never do that to you. Just come out so I know you're not injured," she says.
Aaron sighs, again, and it sounds so exaggerated that she almost jokes that he was wasted in the FBI, and should've in fact pursued his childhood dream of going to Julliard and becoming an actor. But she refrains because he doesn't actually know she knows.
He walks out of the bathroom with his head down, and suddenly, everything he had previously said to her makes sense. It makes so much sense. Of course he was hiding in the bathroom. Of course he didn't want her to see. Of course he made her promise to not laugh. And she tries to keep that promise. Really, she does. But it's simply impossible.
Because her partner's hair is green. There is no other way to put it. A whole section of it is green. Bright green. Not even something that could blend in with his hair either. No. It's just green, and she has no idea how it happened, but she can't quite fight the smile that threatens to spread across her face. And when he tries to glare at her, she can't keep it in and she bursts out laughing.
His cheeks immediately flush, and he folds his arms across his chest. "Penny, you promised!"
She's bent over now, clutching her stomach. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. It's just really funny to me. How did this even happen?"
"Well you know how Jack is doing a show? He didn't want to touch the hair chalk until I tested it on myself, and he was going to be late, so I did, but then he used your hairspray to see what it looks like properly, and now it won't come out."
Penelope tries. She really, well and truly, tries. But she can't keep in her laughter, because it's the dumbest thing she's heard in a while, but it is also such an Aaron and Jack were left alone with something new event to happen that she's not even surprised.
The colour in Aaron's cheeks seems to get even brighter, and Penelope can't help but smile at how pretty he looks when he's flustered like that.
"Well I think you look lovely," she says.
He pouts. "You're just teasing."
She is, but only half. She really does think he's the cutest man to ever walk the planet, and she really thinks green could suit him. But that's probably got more to do with the fact that he's blushing like crazy, and she loves his blush more than anything in the world.
"I'm not teasing! I think you look splendid. Absolutely wonderful. A proper Prince Charming. Completely adorable and so cute. The most handsome man I have ever seen. I could write so many sonnets about how you look, Shakespeare would be quaking in his boots," she says. She's only mildly exaggerating.
Aaron's cheeks have gone so red that Penelope is a tiny bit concerned that she's broken him. "Stop it," he pleads, but he's smiling so he knows that she hasn't gone too far.
"But you're so cute when you blush!" She tells him.
He grins. "I love you."
She kisses his hair, right where the green patch is. "I love you too."
They sit like that for a few minutes. Just enjoying each other's company as Hotch rests his forehead on Penelope's shoulder, allowing her to stroke his hair like he's a cat. Although he doesn't purr, the sigh he lets out is a lot more content than those he let out whilst in the bathroom.
"Penny?" He says after a few minutes.
"Yes my darling?"
"Do I actually look pretty with green hair?"
"Lovely thing, you'll always look pretty to me. But if you want to get it out, I know how to do it quickly and efficiently. Would you like me-"
"Oh absolutely," he says, not even letting her finish her sentence before he's grabbing her hand and dragging her into the bathroom.
Although she washes it all out in one go, and doesn't stop till there are no more traces of it, she does take one photo to remember. And it's as she's washing his hair over the edge of the bathtub that she thinks about how there are an infinite number of ways to say I love you, and somehow, her and Aaron never seem to struggle with new ones.

re: hip surgery. mcollins had his first hip surgery dec. 2019 literally WHILE filming s15 (insane) but he has said his hips have been messed up for awhile so it would make sense for him to have been taking something to help with pain. also his most recent surgery a couple weeks ago was for his other hip. i feel like there’s a huge difference between how he looked during s15 and how he looks now. but yea it’s rough to see people outside the fandom making fun of his appearance based on the love confession scene
yeah like i said i don't mind when we (destielblr) discuss this because possible meds intake aside what we're saying about the unfortunate haircut/bad colour grading of late seasons affecting misha the most IS still true but. yeah. let's not pretend that the confession scene hasn't been talked to death for both right and wrong reasons and the wrong reasons absolutely include ppl from outside of fandom ridiculing misha's appearance which makes me 🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡

Rowena for the meme
Why I like them: how could I not??? She’s a great character, AND an absolutely enchanting woman. I could write (very bad, based on previous experience) poetry about her xDD. She’s gorgeous! And witchy! And dramatic! She hits my “older woman of dubious morality” soft spot AND has about everything else going for her lmao.
Why I don’t: I suddenly can’t read.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): I still have a few left with her (far less than I’d like! I know she has a fake marriage with Sam in one though xD), but as of now it’s probably 13x12, where she tricks Sam and Dean (they never find out she’s the one who hired the two witches that rob the book from them lol), comes in to save the day~~, has a few bonding moments with Sam regarding their Lucifer Trauma TM -which leads to Sam sneakily letting her get away with the page she was looking for lol... Another great one is where she encourages her sweet grandson (who she liked!) to return to the past knowing he’d die there, to get revenge against Crowley for forcing her to kill the one person she’d truly loved (another child she’d actually loved like a son). This family istg xDDD. 13x19, where she sets out to defy Death and force her to bring Crowley back to life is another contender (theirs is a complicated mother-son bond lmfao).
Favorite season/movie: it’s hard to say because I’ve enjoyed all four so far (well, in terms of Rowena’s storyline at least. I have Opinions on s12 and s13 lol). But I have to say Rowena is about the first character I’ve fully enjoyed (so far) seeing joining the team after being in more antagonistic role, simply because it’s fun xD, and in that sense she was a breath of fresh air in s13.
Favorite line: oh man. She has so many. One thing I’ll say for these writers is that they took advantage of having a theatre trained actress and gave her GREAT monologues lmao. See all these lovely things she tells to Crowley lmfao:
“This demon asks you to equalize credit for his and another's work. Split the baby if you will. Well, then I would well and truly split the baby. I'd cut this pulling, pathetic, grade-grubbing git in two, literally. Then I'd nail his bloody halves to the doors of the court. A reminder to all not to waste the King's time! Whiners beget whiners. You can't reward behavior like that. Why, I never gave in when you asked for sweeties as a child no matter how much you cried. Well, you were a very chunky child, darling. A bit of a bloater.”
“You can't understand my disappointment or my pride. You don't know this but after I left you, after I was forced to leave you, I heard of your death. Your mortal death. I thought you were gone to me forever. Then, hundreds of years later and thousands of miles away, I find you: the King of Hell. And not by luck or accident, you made that happen all by yourself. You're not a mother. You can't know what that pride felt like. How huge it was. But can you try to imagine, for me? Now do you understand why it breaks my heart to see what a colossal numb nut you've become? You've got the crown but you're no ruler, not really. A sad, bored wee boy on the throne who'll flop ass up the second those Winchesters, hunters who'd as soon see you dead as have you to tea, ask you to. You're no king. Not any more. You're their bitch!”
“I hate you because, when I look into your eyes, I see the woman I used to be, before magic, before the coven, when I was nothing but Rowena, the tanner's daughter. A pale, scared little girl who smelled of filth and death. I hate you because, when you were born, your father said he loved me. Then he went back to his grand wife and his grand house, whilst I lay pathetic and half-dead on a straw mat - my thighs slick with blood. I hate you, because if I didn't, I'd love you. But love... love is weakness. And I'll never be weak again.”
Then there’s of course “You say that like it’s an insult. Nice girls, they’re pathetic. Here’s to evil skanks.” (to Dean, after he calls her an evil skank). And the iconique “I WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR BEING A CAREER WOMAN!!” (to Crowley, after he reproaches her abandonment of him as a child).
Favorite outfit: THIS IS THE MOST UNFAIR QUESTION I’VE EVER ASKED. Seriously, I literally spend all of her scenes making heart eyes at her looks, choosing is too difficult xD
Tumblr media
This purple dress.
Tumblr media
this blue one (just what you casually wear to break into a creepy house with your new frenemy Sam Winchester)
Tumblr media
This purple dressing gown
Tumblr media
This backless red dress
Everything she’s worn has been perfect for her, but I have a weakness for the long dresses.
OTP: Sam/Rowena is a great ship. Although if I’m honests, my favourite relationship of hers altogether is with Crowley. I love a good Bad Mom TM dynamic xDD
Brotp: see above. And I’ve enjoyed her (too few) moments with Castiel and Jack. Also Chuck lol.
Head Canon: I choose to believe she and Bela have crossed paths. Because.
Unpopular opinion: idek. Okay, I have one. You know how fandom obsesses over characters that SUPPOSEDLY have a hard exterior but are secretly softies, and that do terrible things to cover that and protect themselves (I’m looking at you Dean stans lol)? Rowena is the actual real deal here. Accept no substitutes xD
A wish: well, it would’ve been NICE if she hadn’t been so unceremoneously removed from the narrative in s15 (I mean, still a better ending than I would’ve hoped given the show’s track record, but I would’ve preferred to have her in the show moving the plot and all). At least it’s one of those endings with possibility~, so fics will be coming xD
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: the show is done and it could’ve been worse lmao. Dead with no possibility of return/no reigning position in Hell, for one.
5 words to best describe them: powerful, creative, meddling, striking, gracious.
My nickname for them: well, I keep calling her my ideal woman lmao.

8 & 10 for the spn ask game💛
(also i LOVE your new icon, garth girls really do stay winning!!)
(thank youuuu i love that sweet man so much) this probably should be under a cut because good lord is it long, but ah well. i am certain people will unfollow me for this lmao.
8. Season rankings and ratings
YIKES. okay. god. okay. here we go. from worst to best. (answering these is bound to create Discourse but. ah well.)
s11: -10000000000/10. i hate the baby amara storyline with a fiery burning passion. i was doing a rewatch several months ago and got s11 and could not. could NOT keep going. booooo hiss i hate u (sorry casifer, even you cannot fix s11)
s7: -9999999999/10 (exactly one point higher than s11). the s7 bits without cas are SO BORING. dick jokes are terrible 99.9% of the time. i have to bring up specifically season 7 time for a wedding. on one hand, horrendous. an abomination. on the other hand, garth’s introduction and special guest star leslie odom jr. ?/10 i do not understand. (s7 is redeemed by kevin, charlie, garth, godstiel, and honey cas, but the vast majority of the season is unwatchable)
s13: -100/10. OKAY I. look. this is so hard because apocalypse world IS stupid, but. jack. at least it was mostly watchable? have only seen all the way through one time. redeemed slightly by jack, widower arc, and wayward sisters.
s14: 0/10. can’t remember what happens. literally i. literally every single time i think about the overarching plot of 14 it takes me a second to remember, oh yeah, michael. at least michael was more interesting than general apocalypse world.
s10: 4/10. uhhhh. moc is mostly fun and you know, thee biblical cain and his oc wife and all that jazz.
s12: 6.5/10. individual bangers, overall plot uhhhhhhhhh. not for me. points for first blood, lily sunder has some regrets, regarding dean, stuck in the middle (with you), ladies drink free (but specifically the claire moments. half point), the future, and twigs & twine & tasha banes.
s9: 7/10. the immortal conflict of loving human cas and hating what they did to human cas. however! winner for sexiest title card!
s15: 7.5/10. look an entire season unfortunately cannot be redeemed by one scene. the good: the scene! dadstiel and jack episode! most of the last holiday! (especially when i pretend cas is there!). the bad: vilifying billie, not killing chuck, absorbing amara, carr c the finale that does not exist, one million unaccounted for plot lines. the birth of s16.....
s3: 8/10. good ! points mostly for bela, some taken away for bad dean hair.
s6: 65/10. 60 points JUST for the man who would be king. overall messy!!!
TIED: s5 and s2: 80/10. simply can’t pick omg.
s1: 100/10. lots of bangers! actually scary episodes! original brothers content that makes me emosh! something something grime and grit and color grading ohh yeah.
s4: 100000/10. cas thee iel full stop.
s8: infinity/10. perfect. no complaints. mwah, that’s me blowing a kiss to my friend jeremy carver. (okay ONE complaint. ... okay TWO complaints. samelia is boring and also taxi driver caused me irreparable harm)
10. Best TFW scenes?
must say the original team free will scene when they get their name even though mr. comatose over there is. comatose. <3 and any time they actually get to work together AS a team and be friends :)

There was something defective in the blueprints of the universe Chuck created where Cas rebels and TFW wins (aka the main universe we see).
Ok I've thought a lot about this, and I may just be spewing nonsense, dont get me wrong, but it feels like an itch I need to scratch (by writing a long post about a random theory, because that's how we do things in this house).
There's something about how decadent the angels get and how broken the system is in Heaven that just feels wrong. Firstly, remember how Chuck tells Cas in s15 that in every single other universes, he was a good little warrior and "did what he was told"? It may not be the angel in question that has a "crack in his chassis", but the designs of Creation themselves.
Here's the thing, we know doubt was already spreading around in Heaven before Cas rebelled, before he became this legend (wether a good or a bad one, still a legend amongst the feathered assholes) in Heaven. But without Cas fighting (and killing) his own Brethren, without him pushing against the Great Plan for Dean, would those other angels actually have rebelled? Maybe they did in one universe, only to reinstate the old order, with a slight twist, probably simply the leader/god wasn't the same angel as it was before (Michael) (they're not exactly famous for their original thinking). Maybe they backed down after getting sent back to Bible camp. Maybe they were simply killed because subtlety isn't one of their fortes either and the faithful other hundreds (thousands? millions? I'm never sure) of angels found out and eradicated the threat.
Incidentally, from the few clips we get of the other worlds, I seem to remember seeing Cas chasing after Sam and Dean along with other angels, so it really looks as though Heaven wasn't defeated and still righteous and still in full functioning order. The Host was still goin' strong, if you will, unlike in our little universe, where only a few angels remain and the archangels are dead and everything is absolutely going to shit up there.
My point is still fuzzy but I'm getting to it, just give me a few more paragraphs I swear it makes sense. I intend to wrap it all up very neatly once I figure it out.
So as I was saying, in the universes where Lucifer didn't win, but where the Apocalypse didn't happen either (without Cas' help in making sure it didn't, since he "did what he was told") Heaven still did not fall. They didn't scatter like cockroaches, the Host was still there, still chasing after Sam and Dean after at least a decade. Perhaps it suffered some setbacks, a few changes in Management, but it was still Heaven, ya know? Same everlasting goals and same targets.
Which brings me to my second/third example (point? idea? not sure what to call them to be honest): Zachariah the time bender. I know angels are capable of twisting time a bit, traveling through it, provided they have a big enough power generator (several angels working together, an archangel, a very strong will as we see with Cas, you name it), but the stunt Zach pulled by twisting the timeline effectively causing a fork to appear in linear time? That's not just traveling, that's creating. Something an angel doth not do. Zach had a bit of a crack in his chassis as well, from my point of view. Zapping Sam and Dean in a weird universe where they work office jobs? Ok. Zapping Dean in the past to see his mom and dad? Ok. Those are angel-level-of-thinking-and-doing things. Creating a different timeline?? That's what Chuck does (albeit in greater scale) with his different universes. Zach was somehow a): allowed to do it and b): able to do it. How?? And interestingly enough, even in a different timeline, this world still has a failing Host. One that up and left.
Speaking of apocalyptic worlds, let's not forget that even during an ongoing apocalypse, even lead by a deranged Michael, Heaven did not fall either. All the worlds where Lucifer won aren't exactly relevant here, if Heaven was defeated well within the rules of the Big Ol' Plan then that neither proves nor disproves my point. There may even be some worlds where Michael is killed by Lucifer and the Apocalypse begins, but the Devil still doesn't win, wether it be thanks to the Winchesters, or Heaven fighting back and winning in the end, or maybe both.
My point is, this world we see most of the time is Chuck's favorite, the one he was most "hands on" with. It's the one where he writes himself into the story and observes and intervenes sometimes. It's the one where he has to do that. It's the one where Amara is freed and the angels are able to do jackshit about it. It's the one where Heaven falls, it's the one where the holy rules are broken from the get go, it's the one that allowed an angel like Cas to break free, even when Chuck himself wasn't too happy about it. Heaven becomes the ruins of what it once was and loses its power for no reason other than a couple dudes with guns and knives and this one angel whose programming didn't go according to plan. It's the one where Bobby is enough to free souls from their rest by basically knocking on a couple doors, like cmon. A Heaven whose gates are so easily manipulated Metatron manages to close them off and takes over for a little while. One where all the angels fall and lose their wings. It's a Heaven where legions aren't enough to bring back one stubborn, unimportant in the grand scheme of things (or so they thought) angel to the pearly gates. They lose every endeavor they put their minds to, they don't slaughter demons by the dozens, they're lost.
This isn't an A grade Heaven. This is a Heaven that must've had a flaw in the design. Perhaps that's why Chuck found it so interesting, maybe not realizing why. He left one termite in the woodwork, and watched it all crumble, popcorn in his hand, unaware of his slow downfall until it was much too late. Without a malfunctioning Heaven like that one, he'd still be God. Cas wasn't the one with the crack in the chassis, yes he was special, but I like to think he happened to exist in the same universe as that termite, and the dominoes fell accordingly. It's like a butterfly effect, maybe Chuck created this world absentmindedly, no particular idea in mind, got distracted for a millisecond (which could well be an eternity in his case, time is a weird concept) and overlooked one typo in the code, forgot to write one little detail in small letters at the bottom of the contract, didn't add the teaspoon of baking powder sitting next to him to his batter, and the world exploded majestically in his face. Maybe he wanted to make this one more interesting, and corrected a sequence but forgot to change the initial layout of the program, maybe he lengthened his sentence but forgot to add punctuation or forgot to remove a capital letter, maybe he added a clause in the contract that created a loophole, who knows? It still had the same result. Him losing his powers, and probably dying in a ditch somewhere.
Seeing as this theory already didn't make much sense in my head, I hope I've at least articulated it well enough to make it comprehensible, and that the last point clears off whatever confused cobwebs had been accumulating in your mind after each sentence.

Doom Days
Story summary: Fifteen years later, the hunting trips across small-town America have turned into an epic battle against the forces of Heaven and Hell, and now, against God Himself. Long-held assumptions are challenged, friendships are tested, and the tale of the Winchester brothers is concluded. We're in the endgame, now. S15 AU, written in its entirety before season 15 was released.
Chapter summary: We see the fallout from the graveyard, and Jack finds himself in a very confusing situation.
Chapter 2: Bad Decisions
1
The graveyard erupts into screaming.
Sam feels the ground rumble and clutches the iron bar more tightly. Dean tenses against his shoulder, and Sam sees him lift his own weapon a little higher.
The monsters amble towards them, faster than they should, and Sam feels like he should say something to Dean, to Cas, (to Jack), but before he can bring himself to form words they are almost overrun. Sam feels Dean lean into him, just for a second, and Sam takes a deep breath and shifts his stance, feeling a pull in his stomach and an ache in his head, and then—
And then he's tripping, dropping to his hands and knees, staring down at the floor of the Bunker, shoulder throbbing, head spinning with what what what how. He hears Dean stumble away, footsteps unsteady, before a door slams and the faint sounds of retching emerge. Sam's eyes tick over to his right, where the war room is, and sees Jack lying near the table, eyes burnt out and aimed towards him. He swallows, thinks Dean may have had the right idea.
"Are you all right?"
Cas's voice is croaky and devastated. Sam looks away from Jack and heaves himself off his hands and into a kneel, turning to his friend. Cas looks as shattered as he sounds, but is also eyeing his shoulder with sincerity. It takes Sam's breath away for a moment, that Cas can even think about him when he's just lost so much.
Sam swallows again, but this time to remove the tightness in his throat. "Yeah," He croaks out, collapsing into a cross legged stance, pressing his palm against the shoulder wound, the ache in his head increasing. "Are you?"
Cas blinks at him, then glances to the side, where Jack is, and his face shatters further. "No," He says softly, and falls silent again.
Dean slams back into the room with his usual chaotic energy, eyes wild, hands shaking. "What the fuck just happened? How are we here?"
Sam just shakes his head.
"I don't know," Cas breathes out, still looking at Jack. "I would normally say God, Chuck, but…"
"But he just declared war on us. Yeah," Dean runs a hand over his face, once, twice, then takes a deep breath. "Are you sure it wasn't you?"
Cas nods. "I am sure."
The silence that follows is suffocating. This is beyond a near miss, which is just another day for them at this point. This is gaining the enmity of literally the most powerful being in the universe. This is becoming the villain (or is it the hero? But that makes God the villain and Sam can't do that, he can't…)
Dean's eyeing him up. "You good, Sam? How's your shoulder?"
Sam clutches it harder. "Shot," He says, thinking it might be a joke. "Nothing I can't handle."
"I should take a look at it," Dean starts to make his way over, taking the long way, avoiding Jack, not even looking in his direction. "Can't mess around with a bullet wound. Especially not from God's magic gun."
Sam chokes at the reminder. "What are we gonna do?" He asks, making Dean stop dead in his tracks. "What's…" He can't continue, the concept too large and terrifying to even begin to breach.
Dean sucks in a quick breath, but it's Cas who speaks. "We give him peace," He says, looking at Jack. "And then we will address everything else."
-
Dean collapses onto the chair in Sam's room. With hands that only shake a little, he deposits their beat-up, professional grade first aid kit onto the table. Okay. Showtime.
Sam's sitting across from him, hand pressed into his shoulder, head bowed. He's removed his button up, and the blood staining his white t-shirt is vibrant under his fingers
"Okay, dude, lemme see that."
Sam nods, then moves to roll his sleeve up. "Don't wanna lose another shirt."
"I think it's a lost cause, man," But Dean lets him do it anyway, and Sam manages to peel his shirt off the bullet wound with only miniscule wincing.
The bullet wound doesn't look great—it's a bullet wound—but it's not terrible either. The bullet never actually went through his shoulder, so Dean doesn't have to dig around to find it. That's good, it's usually really messy to have to do that, and the last time he had to, huh, must've been…
Dean swallows away the memory. "Looks just like a through-and-through. Easy fix."
"That's what you said last time," Sam says, eyeing the needle and thread that Dean extracts from the kit. "I couldn't lift my arm for two months."
"Last time?" Dean deliberately sets down the suture kit and fishes out cotton and gauze. "Really gotta bring that up, huh?"
Sam rolls his eyes. "It's the same shoulder, dude. Hope you do a better job this time."
"The same…?" Dean starts to clean out the wound. "Oh. You mean the rabbit foot thing? With Bela?"
"Of course. What else would I mean?"
Dean leans back, grabs the suture kit. "I lost a whole lotta money that time," He grouses, ignoring the question. "Fuckin' rabbit's foot."
Sam chuckles. "Sure. That was the foot," His eyes tighten when Dean starts to stich, but he remains still. "Hey, where's Cas?"
Dean pauses mid-stitch. "Okay, non-sequitur. He went to, well, find some wood. For. You know."
"Yeah," Sam nods, face tight. He'd left the war room before Cas announced his intentions to burn Jack, and Dean had been quick to follow. "Hey. Can we. Uh. Can we talk about what went down with Jack in the graveyard?"
"Why?" Dean ties off the wound, then leans back for the bandages. "I think it's pretty clear what happened. "
"I know," Sam suddenly looks very interested in examining his stiches. "But, you know, we're going to be saying goodbye to him in a second. And, it's really complicated with Jack, and, you know, if you want to talk about it before we have to do this…"
Dean rips open a package with a little more force than necessary. "I'm good," He says, voice clipped. He suddenly wants to speed up his first aid. "I wanted to kill him. I didn't. He died anyway. And nothing's been fixed," He presses cotton gently against the stiches. "Mom's still gone. Cas still knew, and he didn't care."
"Dean…"
"No," Dean loops the bandages around his shoulder, secures them, then stands up. "That hasn't changed. And we have bigger priorities now. Leave it alone."
He collects the kit and leaves, hoping Sam hasn't seen his hands start to shake again.
-
Castiel stares into the flames of the pyre.
It is his second in recent times, and he thinks that should make him numb to the experience. He isn't, and the heat of the fire is barely enough to scratch what is under the surface. His grief is drowning out even the voices of his brethren, and he keeps seeing God grasp onto Jack's face and smite him with no hesitation. It's a pain he has never experienced before.
A shaky breath directs his attention to his side. Sam is standing slightly behind him, chest hitching in sporadic bursts. The bandages on his shoulder, applied hastily by his brother, crinkle with each breath. Castiel thinks distantly that he understands this, more than he ever has. He envies the ability of humans to express themselves simply by the movement of their breath.
Castiel glances to his other side. Dean is silent, stoic, expressionless, much as he was during his mother's funeral. His jaw is tense, his eyes are hard, and Castiel understands this too. He now knows why Sam held him back. He knows more than he ever wanted to.
"We will move forward," Castiel says, flicking his eyes back to the flames. "We will end this, one way or another. We will make sure Jack remains at peace, in Heaven, if possible. And then, I will be finished with this. With all of it."
He turns. Sam looks at him, blinks, and nods jerkily. Dean stares at him, still stoic, silent, and expressionless, and Castiel now also understands what it means to say "You're dead to me."
It's not the first time they have had different priorities, different goals, but it is the first time Castiel has been convinced that this is a conflict they will not come back from. It has been ever since he saw Dean point a gun at a kneeling Jack. The fact that he never actually took the shot doesn't seem to matter at the moment.
Sam…he doesn't know about Sam. His sin, helping trick Jack into that box, seems trivial by comparison. Seeing him now, with his shaky breaths and trembling limbs, forcibly reminds him of the figure sitting in the shadow of the Impala after Jack died the first time. He can't really bring himself to accuse, not with that.
So, he just nods at Sam, glances at Dean, and turns away. They have work to do.
-
"Who are you?" Jack croaks out. The darkness surrounding him is overwhelming and he chooses to focus on the woman in front of him, just to see something that isn't nothingness. He thinks, just for a second, that he sees something in the darkness, but it disappears quickly.
The woman smiles. "You don't know me? I would've thought the Winchesters and Castiel described me, at the very least."
"I'm…" Jack closes his eyes, but it's too dark so he quickly prises them open again. "I…I don't remember. Why am I here?"
The woman cocks her head, stares at him. "What do you remember?"
Jack scrunches his face up, tries to think. "I…I think…" Images pass behind his eyes quickly and he can't keep up. "Michael. I…helped Dean. With Michael."
"…Is that it?"
"No!" Jack tries to focus on the memories. "It's just…It's hazy. There's a snake. And…" He stops. "Did I hurt someone?" He breathes out, seeing a girl fly back. "What did I do?"
"Oh, kid." The woman looks more sympathetic now. "Do you remember? About the magic? And your soul?"
Jack nods ferociously. "Yes! Did I…did I lose it? Did it make me do something?"
He sees now that the woman is holding something, a long and curved weapon. She shifts it to the other hand, and Jack is taken aback by how uncertain the gesture is. "Kid…I promise you, I will tell you what happened. But you have to promise me back: don't try to remember by yourself. Not yet. I don't think your mind can take it."
"Why should I trust you?" Jack feels himself tear up, and he can't stop it. "How do I know you aren't lying to me?"
"Because I'm Death," The woman says, matter-of-factly, "And you're dead. And you're in the Empty. Congratulations."
Jack steps back but he's not sure if it actually takes him anywhere. "Death?"
"Call me Billie," She sets her weapon down firmly, somehow managing to lean on it in a way Jack cannot perceive. "And don't worry. When you died, your soul reassembled itself here. You're all you again."
"Why am I here? I went to Heaven last time."
Billie shrugs. "When you tangle with the Winchesters, things get complicated. I think there was some…divine intervention. Made sure you didn't make it up there."
Winchesters?
"Sam…Dean…" Jack breathes out, voice shaking. "Cas! I have to get back to them. I have to. Are they alright? Are they hurt? Did I…"
"Slow down," Billie holds up a hand, smiling slightly. "They're all fine. As for getting back…" She shakes her head, chuckles slightly. "Normally, it would be a hard no from me. Everyone has their time and all that. Now, though," Her voice seems to deepen. "Now, I've been tossed in here too. The big man is taking over all of it. He wants me out of the way, and that disrupts the natural order. If I'm going to do my job, I gotta get back."
Jack frowns. "Who's the big man?"
"I'll tell you later," Billie locks eyes with him. "In the meantime, he's made a big mistake, locking us in here together. We can both get out of here, with your help."
Jack nods. "What do you need me to do?"
"It's simple, really," Billie starts to move towards him slowly, purposefully. "You just so happen to have an…intimate connection to Hell. Through your dear old Dad, who, of course, gave up his claim to Heaven long ago. The Cage made Lucifer's Grace very reactive to Hell."
"He's not my dad." Jack frowns.
Billie rolls her eyes. "Sure. But, with that connection, you also have a…special relationship with Hell. You can get there any time you like."
"And?"
"I'm getting there," Billie stops in front of him, then sticks her hand out. "I can use you to make a connection to Hell. We can escape back into the world through that. Deal?"
Jack hesitates, just for a second, then takes her hand. "Deal. And you'll tell me what I did, too."
Billie nods, shaking his hand. When she stops, she doesn't let go, but flips his hand to reveal his palm and smiles. "Ready to get outta here, kid?"

i have been thinking a lot about cas in light of the rest of s15 coming out soon and i just have some thoughts....
cas has been my favorite character since i started watching the show, and i could never quite pinpoint why. i just loved him. but now i think i’ve got it. he was supposed to be a warrior, strong, without feelings. he was a soldier. he did what he was told. and then he came to earth, and what did the other angels always hit him with? they tell him he has too much heart, that he cares too much, that he’s “too human.”
i started watching spn right before a few really crummy years of my life, where my mental health tanked realllllly bad. but i was also a high achieving/high functioning person, who got good grades and had a happy family and was a leader and so i had to “be strong,” numb whatever what was going on and push through, be a soldier for the other people who “needed” me to be impenetrable.
and then? when i went to counseling and started unpacking all this stuff? and began to acknowledge my mental illnesses as more than just struggles, but parts of me that i needed to be kind towards? i started feeling my feelings more, being more caring, more empathetic and emotive, and some people hated it. they said i was weak, that i cared too much about the problems of the world, like it was a bad thing to have a heart.
so that’s why, i think, he’s my favorite character. he has a heart, even when he’s told he’s not supposed to, and he always chooses, in the end, the option that leads towards others.
i hope he gets his happy ending.

RvB17 Episode 8 Review: Finally
Well guys, after so many years, Donut finally gave the Reds and Blues a piece of his mind. While I felt that last week had the weakest episode so far, I can forgive it because it gave us Donut telling everyone off. It’s a week later and I still get so much satisfaction from that scene alone. With Wash sending everyone to apologize, and Huggins in Season 1 with Caboose, what’s going to happen now? Well, lets lake a looksie shall we?
The Reds and Blues have caught up to Donut and apologize, but he's not willing to accept it since... well saying your sorry and showing it are two different things. Considering that Donut went through all of time and space to fix what he did and make it right... yeah, point. Carolina asks if they can prove it by fixing the timeline, which he agrees with. So... that was resolved quickly. Everyone naturally has questions about the time travel, Doc's being about what's going on with Caboose right now. Donut explains that while their Caboose is somewhere else, the one with them is a different timeline Caboose, aka Season 5 Caboose. When Simmons questions how reliving their history is going to correct anything, Donut decides to jump them all ahead ten minutes. Since they'll lose Wash and Carolina, he instructs them to meet up and for Wash to give Carolina the explanation.
Donut jumps them all back ten minutes, where he's still crushed by Sister's ship and Tucker is recovering from childbirth. Church is understandably confused, but at this point, Caboose has returned and he sends Church to take a nap. But Caboose did not come alone. Huggins arrives, much to Grif's glee. Like... he sounds happier than I think he ever has. He's so happy and missed Huggins so much that her still being angry at him, to the point that she goes red, doesn't even phase him. Donut proceeds to explain about how they have to stop Genkins from creating paradoxes... but since they don't know where he's going to be, they have to relive their lives and make sure it goes exactly as it happens.
Huggins, however, points out that there's another way... just as Lopez has already jumped. Whoops. Anyways, since Huggins is made of light, she can go forward on her own, find alternate timelines, report back, and the guys can jump ahead to that point and make the event go as it's meant to. Sarge things that's too convoluted and will take too long... but Huggins proves it by going to and from the moon in a blink, plus she already did it with meeting with Caboose and it sounds like they already did it once. Grif is outright tearful that this means less bullshit before apologizing to her for fucking time up. Huggins... doesn't forgive him, but she can't stay mad at him right now due to time being fucked up. She therefore just tells him to fix reality before going off to get her scouting underway. Ouch.
Simmons repeats his question about exactly why they need to relive their lives to begin with. Caboose, therefore, proposes this analogy to explain it. You know how you can sometimes get a gap in your zipper? Apparently, it happened to Simmons in 6th Grade during Debate Class, but to the point. To fix the gap, the zipper has to go all the way down and then zipped back up to fix it. So that's what they have to do, go back through their lives to undo the gap and fix it again. Even Donut admits that the analogy makes things clearer. Yeah, the two former rookies are the ones figuring out how to fix shit. Who knew? Tucker is questioning if this will even work, to which Donut replies that the only way that they'll be able to find out all depends on them.
From there, we get a montage of the guys going back to events where Genkins is trying to strike. Sarge ends up at the day that they deleted the Blues, aka the best day of his life. When Genkins tries to interfere by hacking the computer, Simmons simply reboots it to get rid of him. Which keep in mind that isn't present!Simmons, that's Season Six Simmons doing it nonchalantly. Anyways, Sarge proceeds to relive the moment several times to make sure that ti worked... aka to relive the moment cause he can. We also get to see the end of Season 5, where Andy blows up the ship, which is where Grif ends up. Genkins tries to prevent the explosion and reveal the truth to Church, so Grif simply goes off, gets a rocket launcher, and does the job himself. He also makes it clear that this is him getting payback on Tex for the beatdown his balls got in Season 8. Hopefully, he jumped out after, since Church is understandably angry and ready to give Grif a beatdown.
Our episode ends at one more moment. Tucker arrives at Crash Site Bravo in Season 11, the day where they lost and half their forces were captured... and when Felix was still faking being an ally. Well, shit.
Review
This was better than last week, but still not the best. Not to say I didn't like it though. As I kinda said in the overview, it felt like Donut... kinda forgave them all far too easily. I mean I guess something can come up later, but after how much last week's moment was built up and the payoff being amazing, this kinda felt like we were sweeping it back under the rug. Though to their credit, they listen to him... kinda hard when he's under a Pelican, but hey they're listening. And to his credit, Donut's not letting the emotions control his decision making, which really displays a lot of emotional maturity on his part. I really like that about him. I feel it's always been there, but now we can actually let it be on display. Bless Jason Weight for making Donut a character. Bless him so much.
So... let's do something a little different. We're gonna talk about Grif, and consequently how he's... kinda gotten the shaft, sadly. So last season and even S15, Grif got a lot of character development and focus. He realized he needed his friends, began to commit himself more, confronted his issues with the constant adventures, started to focus more to the point that he confronted Genkins and gave up on wanting the pizza he wanted the whole time to try and prevent the paradox. He failed, but the fact that he tried and that he became a more focused, more mature person was great... and that has been ignored so far. Mind you he spent half the season with his memory wiped and so far not a lot of time to show that development and I'll give them credit when I get to the positive side, but it still really feels like all the build-up and development that Grif got last time is just... gone. I mean you'd think he'd be more angry about Genkins considering, especially since Genkins outright told him everything right to his face just because he could, and that hasn't come up at all. It's just frustrating to a huge Grif fan like me. Is this how Tucker fans felt last season?
But with that said... I'm gonna be fair here. I think the reason why we can't do a lot with Grif, and probably others who could use development, is the 12 episode count. While the count is good for advancing the plot at a good pace and has a main focus to work on (in this case Donut, Wash, and the time travel) it sadly means a LOT of character opportunities get wasted or shafted as a result. Since those things need the focus for this story, those have to gain the focus and everything else falls by the wayside. Kinda like how in S12, Tucker got the majority of focus while others aside from the Freelancers and Church didn't get much. And that season had the standard 19 episodes, but the plot needed to advance so there just wasn't really time to do other things that I myself would have liked, like more focus on Grif, Simmons, and Caboose as Captains and not just Tucker. But that's a discussion for another day, but the point is the plot, as it is now, sadly means that Grif doesn't get the focus that I feel he should be getting. Which Simmons, Tucker, and even kinda Carolina are getting the short end of the stick too. Lopez is getting it really bad in comparison so... yeah. Production can suck sometimes.
Even with me feeling that Grif's focus is lacking after the build-up, I don't at all feel like his development is being outright forgotten though. Sure he's confused about what's going on and the time travel... but honestly I am too because GDI I don't understand time travel. So I can't get mad at something I don't get either and have kinda just resigned myself to. His reaction to seeing Huggins again was really, really cute. I don't think he's ever sounded that happy at any other point in the show. Sure Huggins is still angry at him, and it's not hard to fault her, but the fact that Grif was so happy that he wasn't even phased by it until near the end... it was really sweet especially compared to how volatile he was to her at first last season. And then once Grif understood, he committed to it, figured out rather quickly how to take Genkins down in S5, and blew them up with a rocket launcher with zero hesitation. The fact that after nine seasons he finally got payback on Tex for the brutal beat down was also satisfying as Hell. Sorry Tex, but Grif earned this moment. And even during the mindwipe, he was the only one who even considered believing DOnut and was weirdly motivated, even in places he normally wouldn't have been like during S13. So yeah, I wish that more was done after all the build-up prior, and I hope the next story arc will allow it, but I'm still enjoying Grif. I just wish we had more.
I'm not sure what else I can say really. Some funny moments, like Sarge's utter glee at reliving deleting the Blues. Part of me feels like he should be past this by now... but hey, it was still funny. Also, the link that appears on the Delete Blues screen? Type it in. Trust me, you will NOT regret it... or you will and cry, but do it anyways. The fact that Donut could give a coherent explanation while being crushed under a ship is impressive... although shouldn't he have landed in the cavers by then? Meh, maybe he's just really good at throwing his voice. Simmons just rebooting the computer to get rid of Genkins, which again it wasn't present!Simmons who did it was an underrated badass moment imo. And of course, the ending. Tucker is with Felix again, back when he was still pretending to be an ally. And Tucker has to let the event go as it's supposed to, so not only does he have to deal with Genkins... but he's got to keep his own feelings in check. Because if he can't and tries to kill Felix here... that may very well be the kick that Chrovos needs to be set free.
Final Thoughts
Good episode. Nothing major happened, and I'm starting to see some cracks in the structure, but I still enjoyed it. We have a clear directive for now and we have a pretty damn promising lead-in for next week. With four episodes left, there's a lot to still do and not a lot of time left. How will it play out? Not sure, but it's gonna leave one Hell of an impression. In that, I have little doubt.

Disney+ New Releases: May 2021
https://ift.tt/3e7NDze
One of the most ironclad scheduling rules in pop culture is that no May 4 should come and go without a new bit of Star Wars lore to entertain us. Thanks to Disney+, this May 4 should be particularly celebratory.
With its list of new releases for May 2021, Disney+ is bringing Star Wars: The Bad Batch into the fold. The animated series will continue a plotline begun in The Clone Wars and will follow Clone Force 99 a.k.a. “The Bad Batch” of genetically mutated clone troopers. Dave Filoni is on board as creator and showrunner so we know we’re gonna have a great time.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – What Happened to the Bad Batch?
By John Saavedra
On the movie side of things, Disney is premiering another major title this month. The Emma Stone-starring Cruella premieres on May 28. Did anyone ask for a gritty Cruella de Vil origin story? Almost certainly not. Is it gonna be a fun watch? Who knows! But rest assured, there will be memes.
May also brings two other, more experimental, original series of note. Inside Pixar: Unpacked on May 21 will take viewers behind the scenes at the legendary animation studio. Then Launchpad on May 28 is an intriguing new initiative in which six filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds create a short film.
In terms of library titles for Disney + this month, there aren’t many to speak of aside from D-grade superhero fare like Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and X-Men: The Last Stand. That’s quite alright though, as Star Wars: The Bad Batch should be able to hold viewers over until Loki arrives in June.

The Search (15/16)
Disclaimer: Red vs Blue and related characters are the property of Rooster Teeth. Warnings: Language, Canon-typical violence, Psychological manipulation and trauma Rating: T Synopsis: [Canon Divergence - Alternate S15] The Reds and Blues saved Chorus, but it has been a year and they are still missing. A motley crew has been gathered with the common goal of finding the war heroes, though the road is more troubled than anyone seems to realize.
A/N: Oh my gosh. We only have one chapter left to this installment! I have had such a good time writing this series, even if it’s way past the ending of the actual season, it’s been such a grand relief to get to put a vision of where the series could have gone down for myself. And, if it weren’t obvious before, I plan on continuing the grand tradition with Season 16, following this particular storyline. Though that’s long in the future where I’m concerned.
Special thanks to @secretlystephaniebrown, @analiarvb, DisneyFreak-Lover, Mayhem21, and Yin for the comments and feedback!
Sanctuary
No one could carry a ridiculous number of floral arrangements and Get Well balloons by splitting a hospital’s hallways like the Red Sea unless they were Private Kaikaina Grif.
That was some biblical shit she was closing on her way to her first but far from last stop on her morning trip. And she really didn’t have any intention of stopping before that first destination, but fuck if she was lucky enough to be stopped by any voice calling her name.
In that case the voice belonged to Doctor Grey and not the security guards who got all pissy when she used frisky as a well placed pun and a valid threat to report directly to the Presigeneral.
And despite herself, Kai still felt some kind of way for everyone who helped her find her brother. Even Grey.
“Private Grif! I am so glad you came in this morning!” Grey said gleefully as she caught up with Kai. She slowed as she grew near. “And… oh my! I can… Well, you certainly have a colorful arrangement here.”
Pursing her lips in a pout, Kaikaina squinted at Grey. “Dude. Are you insulting someone who’s colorblind?” she demanded with a huff.
Grey seemed genuinely surprised by Kai’s defensiveness. “Oh… Why no! Of course not,” she answered quickly. After a thoughtful pause, however, Grey raised an eyebrow to Kai. “But surely colorblindness would not explain why one of those balloons has Happy Birthday and another Congratulations.”
“Dude, do you know how hard it is to get the same thing over ten times! Every time I started to walk out of the store I remembered there was another Red or Blue I hadn’t gotten things for,” Kaikaina huffed. “I don’t see you getting floral arrangements!”
“You’re right, I have been rather busy… saving their lives and keeping them healthy by overseeing my hospital staff,” Grey answered in a voice that was almost saccharine.
“Dude, Doctor Grey Medicine Woman, you’re gettin’ saucy on me. I kinda like it,” Kai joked before reshuffling the arrangements. “Ugh. Sorry. I’ve got, like, a lot of shit to hand out, and I don’t know if you noticed yet, but these assholes are so whiny about not getting attention every second. I bet you Caboose and Tucker are going to bitch about how I betrayed Blue Team by visiting my brother first and all that shit. And then messing with the gross old man? There’s so much bad blood there. And I don’t mean like the screechy blondie’s kind of bad blood. I mean the real kind of bad blood. Like in high school. Where we’d cut holes in our nails to scalp each other during lunchroom fights.”
“Yes, you’ve illustrated with that example before,” Grey assured her. “I found it just as concerning when you last mentioned it as I find it now.”
“Okay, cool. I’ll spare you the details of what I did to this fucker Amber in the ninth grade then, later,” Kai quipped rather abruptly, turning to make her way down the halls.
Again, however, she was stalled, as Doctor Grey grabbed a hold of her shoulder and forced Kai to look at her. Kaikaina did so, but only with the world’s most undeniable groan of contempt.
“You do have a lot of things, Private Grif… Kaikaina. Please, let me help you,” Grey requested. “I would like to visit my friends as… well, their friend and not their physician, too. Especially when things got so close and… well, could have turned out so much worse.”
Nose curling a bit, Kai puffed out her lip. “Yeah. Ya mighta actually, y’know, given them up and betrayed them behind their backs and all that shit. Hate for you to have to go through with that little plan of yours and the Presigeneral’s.”
A tired look came to Grey’s eyes almost immediately, but somehow her smile maintained. If anything, it seemed even more honest. A bit more pained. “You’re right. That would have been among the worst outcomes that could have happened. It was one I dreaded more… well, sometimes I dreaded it even more than perhaps being too late to save any of them.”
“Dude, having some bullshit guilt woulda been worse to you than my brother dying? For fucking real?” Kai scoffed. “For the record, I thought about it since our little ship talk. And yeah. I was totally there to save Dex… but I was also there because I knew it was more than Dex. Could you imagine what it’d be like for us to lose anyone? Could you imagine what it’d be like for the ones we saved when they learned that we couldn’t save the others? Saving Dex was the start for me. But it wasn’t ever gonna be enough. Not for me. And I kinda was hoping at the end of the day it wouldn’t be enough for anybody else, too.” She couldn’t help but let her annoyed, angered expression fold into the real disappointment and betrayal she was feeling instead. “Guess I was hoping a li’l too hard that we were all a bit more Re and Blue than we ended up being. Fucking story of my life.”
“Kaikaina, it’s just as I said to you before. There’s no defense for the indefensible. And I won’t waste either of our time by even so much as trying to do so,” Grey assured her. “And my guilt would have not been enough to amend for actions I was fully willing to take for the good of my planet. But those types of sacrifices are simply the ones we all have to be willing to make. Personally. Which… Well, which is why the part of the plan I didn’t confide with you on was what would happen once Chorus disavowed its relationship with the Reds and Blues,” she continued.
Raising an eyebrow, Kai looked the doctor over. “What’d’ya mean?”
“I mean, I didn’t tell you that… I was never going to stop being with the search team. I was never going to personally turn on the Reds and Blues. That was the backup plan for Kimball and Chorus,” Grey explained. “I was staying with you — all of you. And consider myself, well, one of the Reds and Blues. It meant I was forfeiting my ability to come home to Chorus for any foreseeable future but, darn it, it was worth it. And hopefully if I stood by you all long enough and paid my penance by making it up to you all as the best friend and doctor I could be, then I could redeem such a decision. Either way. I was going to stay with the only people who had ever truly made me, someone who has always been quite the outcast, feel like I had somewhere to belong.”
Despite herself, Kaikaina looked at the doctor with some amazement. “Wow, Doc. That’s almost kinda cool. Except. You can’t be a Red and Blue you have to be a Red or a Blue. It’s how it works. We have, like, different bases and everything.”
“I couldn’t be a neutral medical officer?” Grey teased.
“I guess, but the last one turned out to be kind of a perv and also, like, the main bad dude for a little while? So it’s got some baggage,” she admitted. “But, considering the circumstances, I guess you could play the part if you want.”
Some light returned to Grey’s eyes at the passing approval. “Thank you, Kaikaina.”
“Yeah, dude, whatever, you said you were gonna help me hand out these stupid plants and balloons, right?” she asked, already pouring half of them over into Grey’s arms.
“Oh! Well, yes — I, uh. Yes. I’ll carry all of these,” Grey responded, rather flustered.
“Sweet,” Kai snickered. “By the way, Doc, I was just giving you a hard time. You’ve been off the rap since you saved the reporter lady. To be honest, I just like watching you sweat. No one else worries about my opinion so much. Maybe Wash. But that’s just ‘cuz of my ability to sniff out a sting before the undercover cop gets his johnnies satisfied. I call it the Grif Tease. You can see it sometimes when my brother’s making bedroom eyes with Lanky Shortstop Dude.”
“Agent Washington isn’t actually a police officer,” Grey attempted to correct her.
“Dude’s totes a cop. You see how much he wants to cop a feel, heyoooo, no really though, I have him wrapped around my finger and he doesn’t even know it yet,” Kai snorted. “It’s awesome.”
“If you say so,” Grey hummed in response just as they reached the first stop.
“BIG BRO!” Kai screamed out happily the moment they were through the door.
Being Space Jesus didn’t get Junior as much mileage with humans as it had with his own species, but a few growls and snaps of his jowls had been more than enough to make sure the staff didn’t impede on his self-declared right to stay by his father’s side in the hospital room.
For his part, Junior’s father had been uncharacteristically quiet, even when the attractive nurse had earned a Bow Chicka Honk Honk from Junior, his father had missed out. And in that way, it was the first time since they saved his father that Junior was genuinely concerned that things were not okay.
Sitting in the uncomfortable plastic chair at his father’s bedside, chins laying against the bedsheets while he looked up woefully toward his father’s distant gaze, Junior began to think about all that they had seen before. He thought about the horrors of prison world, the visceral reaction which Washington had had at the notion that Junior’s father and the rest of his family were being made subject to some kind of sick modifications.
All of it seemed to add up to a darkness and hurt that Junior was not old or experienced enough to understand yet for himself. He was, after all, a fifth grader, and outside of knowing that his father was hurting, he felt completely useless to do anything really about it.
His dad was exhausted — all of the Reds and Blues were — on IVs and getting extra rations spread out through the day to regain muscle mass and lots of bedrest and sleep to make up for what their brains had missed while they were with Hargrove. But there was something sadder to Junior’s father’s silence. A stewing anger that reminded Junior of the burst of aggression he had shown right before killing Hargrove and saving both Junior and Miss Andrews.
Really, it made Junior’s dad the hero he always knew his dad to be.
But in another sense, it seemed to be causing the kind of frightening deep reflection on himself that Junior was unaccustomed to seeing.
And it only became more apparent when the door opened to President Kimball herself, a security detail by her side.
“Oh!!! Captain Tucker! Captain Tucker! I’m glad you’re awake!” the one Junior was beginning to recognize as Palomo called out gleefully. Which was something he did rather frequently when coming around them, Junior learned.
Finally, an expression other than brooding crossed his father’s face and he looked to Kimball almost pleadingly. “Palomo? Really?”
“You trained a good soldier,” Kimball responded before waving to the guards behind her. “Lieutenants, please stay outside and guard the door, I need to get counsel from my friend.”
With a bit of fluster, the guards did so, and Kimball approached Tucker’s bed.
“My, they really meant it when they said you wouldn’t leave your father’s side,” Kimball said, looking Junior’s way as he raised his head. “That sort of loyalty is a fine feature, young man. I hope you maintain it for all your years. It is a very, very valued trait.”
Junior clicked his mandibles together and sat back in his chair, but made it clear he was not leaving.
“Hey, don’t be rude,” his father said, sounding the closest to normal that he had since they arrived on Chorus. It was enough to warm Junior’s cold blooded heart. Then his father looked seriously toward Kimball. “How’s everyone doing?”
“Feeling more like themselves as far as I can tell,” Kimball assured him. “Fortunately none of you were in critical conditions save for the reporter. It’s strange. Your bodies seemed to be suffering from exposure rather than anything else. Agent Washington seems to believe that it comes from something else controlling a nervous system and interrupting the direct line of control from your consciousness to your own muscles. In fact, he seemed rather insistent on that being the cause.”
“Sounds like whatever was happening to the Meta,” Tucker Senior huffed. “Y’know, except none of us are gorilla body builders. So it sucked more.” He trailed off before glancing back to Kimball. “Where is Wash, anyway? Still visiting Caboose? He usually is bothering me again by now.”
“I believe he is actually getting lunch with Agent Carolina,” Kimball answered. “There… are many things we all need to be discussing. Serious matters.”
“Almost dying felt pretty serious at the time,” his father joked flatly.
Not happy with that brand of humor, Junior turned his head toward his father and clicked his jaws angrily at him, bearing his teeth in frustration. He would gladly travel the whole universe on their little ship again to find his father and family again, but he wasn’t so keen on reliving the moments where everyone was getting shot and stabbed. That seemed unnecessary.
“Calm down,” his father attempted to soothe. When Junior slumped down in the chair, his father gave his full attention to Kimball again. “So that reporter lady is going to be okay?”
“More than that, she’s going against resting orders and trying to write an entire exposé on all of you, on Chorus, and on Chairman Hargrove. In all honesty, her intensity is… concerning on some levels. I’ve rarely had someone so adamant on interrogating me from a hospital bed. Not since you and I first met, in any case.”
“Sounds like someone I’d like,” Tucker admitted.
Kimball let out a sigh and crossed her arms. “It’s the other additional patient and the complications he adds to all of this mess that has me truly concerned. Even if he is who he says he is and can provide us with the connections to the UNSC that he claims that he can,” she explained.
“The mercenary?” Tucker asked. “I don’t trust him. Or like him. Or hate him. Honestly I’m fuzzy on him, but Wash and Carolina said he knew Felix so… Piece of shit in my book.”
“But if he truly is an undercover agent for the UNSC and he can straighten things out for Chorus and for all of you, it would be to our advantage to keep him alive… for now,” Kimball admitted.
“And if he’s lying?” Tucker raised his eyebrow.
“Then you will be the most wanted man in space,” Kimball declared. “You did murder the most powerful man in the UNSC and the arms trade underworld with a weapon that only you can wield.”
“Blargh,” Junior chastised his father.
“Well, fucking great,” his father groaned, sinking back against his pillow. “Do we have good news?”
“You have a friend in Chorus no matter the outcome, I am willing to give all of you asylum here,” she assured him. “Of course, such a brave stance to make is much easier when you’re contacted by friends in high places.” She finally turned her gaze on Junior, much to his surprise. “Which is where you come in my young friend.”
Junior blinked and pointed at his chest. “Blargh?”
“If Santa properly translated the message we received through all of the newly opened tower portals on Chorus… then yes, little one. Chorus’ new alliance with Sangheilios is all in thanks to you and your people’s decision to stand by their religion and their chosen one. It is the first of hopefully many independent bodies who would be willing to put their support behind Chorus against the UNSC’s overreach.”
To that, Junior could only blink again, still pointing at his chest. “Blargh?”
“Yes, you,” his father laughed affectionately, reaching forward and rubbing Junior’s head with his hand. “Of course my kid’s special enough that entire planets would fight for him. That’s just the logical thing for planets to do!” His smile became a little wobbly for a moment. “Next to lewd comments, fighting for son’s the only thing I can do that’s strong enough to get me out of a trance.”
Junior’s eyes grew blurry with tears and he cooed lovingly despite his father’s depreciating comments. Then he lunged forward to hug his dad as tight as he could.
Kimball kept a respectable distance, but she laid a gentle hand on Tucker Senior’s shoulder, as if to prove her solidarity.
“All of you, the Reds and Blues, are easily the strongest men and women I know,” Kimball assured him softly.
Junior didn’t need to hear that from Kimball to know it, but he was glad she said it for his dad to hear all the same. There was a lot behind his brooding and silence that Junior was afraid had only just begun.

What is Patient’s Financial Responsibility When Insurance Company Adjusts Claims?
"What is Patient's Financial Responsibility When Insurance Company Adjusts Claims?
My dental insurance company processed a claim by my dentist and denied it because of their contractual agreement with the provider that any fillings re-worked within 2 years are not the patients responsibility.  The providers benefit statement regarding this service states, The amounts shown as payable by you and by Delta Dental are in accordance with the terms of your dental plan and the terms of our agreement with your dental provider.    The benefits statement shows my 80% benefit level for this service.  The insurance company is not saying that I am ineligible for the benefit.  Rather, they are saying that the dentist is not eligible to be paid for this service (by either the insurance company or me) based on his contract with Delta Dental and the benefits to be provided by Delta Dental and paid by the customer.  The benefits statements includes notes explaining why the claim was denied.    The underlying question is: What is the patients responsibility when the insurance provider says it is zero in accordance with the insurance agreements that all parties are abiding by?  Said differently, Is the insurance company the final arbiter of amounts owed by the patient?    Does the insurance agreement prevail?  Or does the doctor truly have the right to demand payment for amounts that the insurance company says the patient does not owe?  I realize the patient is responsible for co-pays and deductibles.  But I am pretty convinced that if the insurance company is denying the claim and also stating the patient has no responsibility, then the patient truly has no responsibility until and unless the provider gets the claim processed differently.  The provider agreed to be bound by insurance processing when he agreed to accept this provider and its terms and benefits.  Insurance companies routinely adjust the submitted fee downward to the accepted/contractual fee and providers routinely accept those adjustments (and that is one of the reasons we have this complex insurance system: to adjust charges to reasonable levels and protect patients.  We pay tons of premiums for this benefit).  It makes no sense to then claim the patient owes other amounts that the insurance company says the patient does not owe.

I need some help with car insurance please.?

Well today we got our yearly insurance cards in the mail and didn't recognize one of the cars they had given us a card for so I went over the statement. I haven't contacted the insurance company yet but my question is what are my options here? Car Insurance question about someone hitting my parked car?
Hi guys, well let me start with what happened first. I am a college student and so I live in an apartment and park my car next to a whole bunch of other cars. I parked my car in a completely empty spot with no cars at all, and I saw that it was completely fine. I didn't go out on Sunday, but the next day on Monday when I was about to leave for school I saw a big scratch/gash on the left side of my bumper about 25 inches x 20 inches. I do not know who and when it happened, so I called the police and tried to claim a police report but the police said he couldn't do anything because if I knew who hit it, he would be able to do something. But since I don't know who hit my car, he couldn't give me one. I also called my insurance company (State Farm) and told her what happened and the size and she told me that my deductable is $500 and they'll send out a representative to check out the damage. I didn't give her the green light yet but what should I do? The scratch is bad because I have a black car and you could see white scratches from far away. I mean, if my damage is less than $500, I'm going to have to pay my insurance too right? Will this also increase my insurance too? I'm already broke as is because of school and I don't want to have to pay more for something I didn't do.""
How much will my car insurance be?
I'm 17, female, in Nova Scotia. I've taken a drivers ed course. Me and my dad are on the prowl for a used Toyota Corolla, maybe an '08 or something, but if we can't find one for cheap then I'm probably going to end up with his '97 Lexus ES300. My road test is next week, so it won't be a little while yet, but I'm just curious, because I'm going to university next year and I'm going to need my own car, so I might as well budget now. Health Insurance for 18 going to 19 year old?
My boyfriend is currently 18 years old. In January he will turn 19. He has no health insurance. We live in Texas. He's currently working/has his own income but still lives in his grandma's home. He started working making roughly about 250-300 every week, this has however only been for half the year before he was only making minimum wage. Should he get insurance from where he works? Or can he qualify for Medicaid or something of that sort? How does insurance work when you move out also?? Who qualifies for Medicaid? How? We're honestly clueless about all this, and no one has given us information. I've tried doing online research but it's all confusing.. I was hoping someone would help me out. Anything will help. Why is insurance coverage for a 2011 Mazda 2 cheaper than a 2007 Ford Focus or Hyundai Elantra?
I just got quotes for a new Mazda 2. Full coverage on the Mazda 2 will increase my total premium by $163. Full coverage quote for a 2007 Focus would be $187 increase. Full coverage quote for a Hyundai Elantra would result in a $176 increase. I find this very surprising. I thought used cars were supposed to result in cheaper insurance coverage.
What is Patient's Financial Responsibility When Insurance Company Adjusts Claims?

The Great Destroyer
For all the hours they had spent bouncing from planet to planet, and for as much as she had prepared herself for seeing that specific shade of gray armor again. For as much as Kaikaina had thought about seeing her brother alive and well, she lacked the graceful words to really explain her feelings adequately. As was so often the case when someone finally achieved something they had wanted.
Still, Kai tried with the best she could come up with.
“Bro! What the fuck!? You’re pointing a gun at me?” Kai demanded, attempting to step forward toward Dexter Grif only to be stopped by Agent Washington’s arm as he flung it out to hit her right at chest level. “Dude!”
“Stay back, Kaikaina. We don’t know what’s going on right now. It’s not safe,” he said, not taking his eyes off of the egghead who had talked way too much and way too boringly for Kaikaina to consider anything he said worthwhile. “Everyone, just stay behind me.”
“Dude, fuck off, I’m not yours for the hour, that costs you at least twenty bucks,” Kai snapped back. “And even if you gave me a twenty, I’d totally tease and run because you’re the absolute worst undercover cop ever. And everyone knows it!”
“Kaikaina!” Wash snapped in return.
The moment Wash had lost his cool and yelled, Kaikaina’s head jerked toward her brother’s position. She stared at him intently, looking for a response — any kind of response at all — from his overprotective Bro-y instincts. The kind of thing where he’d threaten someone and tell them to shut up for telling Kai to shut up. Because that was the most basic, most fundamental Grif thing he did.
But the more she looked for it to happen, the more it was clear that Dexter’s response was… nothing. He didn’t react. He didn’t flinch.
It was like staring into the face of a completely hollow suit of armor. With a gun trained on all of them.
“I don’t get it,” Kai uttered, more in shock than anything else. “He’s not… This isn’t how Grif acts at all. Double-you tee eff.” Her gaze, and her subsequent rage then turned entirely on the egghead. “What the fuck did you do to my brother, you pickle nosed freak!?”
Washington let out a long, incomprehensible mutter under his breath as he shook his head at her. The only words that were really distinguishable were negotiation and goddammit, so Kai came to assume he was displeased with something or someone. Which only further proved her theory that he was a total drama hoarder and wasn’t appreciating Kai taking charge.
Because that made the most sense, of course.
“Pickle nosed…” the egghead sputtered, seemingly actually surprised by the insult.
“Private Grif,” Andrews spoke up, switching Kai’s attention to her on the other side of Wash. “It isn’t just about your brother. None of the Reds and Blues are acting normal.”
Kai scoffed. “How can you tell? You’ve never met them!”
“I haven’t, but I’ve been with all of you for most of the search now, and… well, I know enough to think it’s not normal for them to be pointing guns at us, their aspiring saviors.”
That got a huge eye roll from Kaikaina and she crossed her arms over her chest. “If you think it’s abnormal for us to point guns at each other, you really don’t know your shit about the Reds and Blues, lady!”
Looking particularly annoyed, Washington turned just enough to glare Kaikaina’s way. “This isn’t the time to be getting into this.”
“The hell it isn’t!” Kai shouted. “We found my family and they’re acting like zombies! It’s a fucking great time to figure out what the Jeff’s going on!”
“It’s the implants,” Doctor Grey announced.
Confused, Kai looked at the doctor. “Wha’chu talkin’ ‘bout, Doc?” she demanded.
“The surgery room we found in the prison, they were all being experimented on with Freelancer-grade implant devices. And seemingly none — at least none of the ones we saw during our extensive searching of the area — seemed to have properly functioned the way that Project Freelancer’s has in the past,” Grey explained before turning to look suspiciously turned her attention then back to Hargrove. “You’ve somehow managed to engineer the neural implants not only to work for your demented scheme here. Whatever it is. You’re somehow controlling our friends and making them do your bidding, including spreading falsehoods to damage the reputation of all of Chorus!”
Squinting Kai shook her fist Doctor Grey’s way. “Does this look like the time to drop some stupid exposition no one cares about!?” Kakaina demanded.
“I care to see the puzzles brought together,” Andrews spoke up.
“Pfft,” Kai rolled her eyes. “Reporters aren’t people, now you’re just reaching.”
“You are correct, Doctor Emily Grey of Chorus,” Hargrove announced. “But as for what my motives are, they’re as simple as what I told you before. I want the alien child. I plan to make great use of his birthright. Use that will someday be upheld by all the galaxy s the markings of a new era. An era where humanity does not sit back on the forefronts of of technological and military should the Covenant ever be tempted to start yet another war with our kind.”
“And that war would happen to be a natural escalation of tensions and not at all anything involving your doing or your kidnapping of child the largest human ally in the Covenant right now,” Washington sneered.
“If you believe that I am only here to issue some distance for what’s bound to be the next part of my plan, you’ve truly taken me for a fool,” Hargrove said sharply. “Something I don’t appreciate in the very least.”
“I don’t give a shit what you appreciate or don’t, asshole! I just care about how bad your ass kicking is going to be once Carolina comes in here and rips off wherever your hair is growing instead of your head and beats you to death with it!” Kai snapped viciously.
“Kai, stop escalating the situation!” Wash ordered.
“You’re not my parole officer, Washington!” Kai screeched in return.
“Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt,” an unfamiliar voice called, drawing the entire room’s attention toward the newly entered foe. Except Kai recognized him not as new, but as the black and purple guy from outside the temple. He was dragging Carolina behind him by her arm and then made a point of tossing her limp body toward the rest of the search team. “But I have some bad news for your plan b here.”
An audible gasp crossed their search party, and Washington actually side stepped his own own commands by moving toward the unfamiliar foe. “Carolina!”
“Don’t concern yourself too much,” the mystery man said, tossing her toward them. “She’s alive.”
“She fucking better be, you fucking asshole!” Kai screeched.
Before any of them could act, though, there was a resounding sound of guns clicking all around them. The Reds and Blues had their sights trained on their own rescue team.
“This fucking sucks!” Kai cried out in frustration.
“Now, since it’s abundantly clear that we won’t be dealing with things impolitely, I would urge you to consider a trade of our assets,” Hargrove continued, a cocky smile firm on his face even as they all glared daggers at him.
“What assets?” Washington demanded.
“The majority of your friends in exchange for the alien child,” Hargrove explained.
“Ew gross, creepy peso old man!” Kai snapped.
“That’s not happening,” Washington said firmly. “No trade. We’re taking all of them. And. We’re kicking your ass.”
“That plan is way better,” Kaikaina nearly cheered. “But watch out, Wash, he might be into that kind of stuff—“
“You’re not really in positions to negotiate on those terms, don’t you think?” the mercenary joked.
Together, Kaikaina, Washington, Doctor Grey, and Dylan Andrews stood in uncomfortable silence. There was no good option, there was no good position. As an expert in the field, Kaikaina could see very, very clearly that they were completely and utterly fucked.
Which did not make it any less surprising when an agonized cooing noise came from between them and, without warning, Junior burst out from the center of their tightly formed circle through Wash and Kai’s legs, and leaped over to where his father stood by Hargrove. The child hesitated, letting out dinosaur-like noises of sadness toward Tucker before looking to Hargrove staunchly.
“No! Junior!” Wash yelled, only barely being held back by Kai and Andrews’ quick reactions to grab his arms and not get himself shot for once.
“Smart child,” Hargrove announced. “Selfless as well. Maybe worthy of that unearned position as some Messiah, after all.” He exchanged a look over Junior’s head toward the black and purple mercenary, then turned to walk back down the hall he and Tucker had stepped out of. “Follow Siris’ command, my Blues and Reds. The Tucker Family and I need to be elsewhere for a family reunion of sorts.”
Just before they disappeared into the darkness of the alien temple, Kai cupped her hands around her mouth and yelled after Hargrove. “Fuck you, dude! It’s Reds and Blues! Motherfucker!”
Feeling satisfied with her yell, she then looked to her fellow searchers. She found mirrored looks of confusion, apprehension, and concern. All of which were understandable, but none of which were anywhere close to what Kai wanted to feel at the moment. Which was pretty damn pissed.
“C’mon, guys, this is way better than any of thought it was gonna be right about when we realized that everyone was surrounding us with guns and were being mind controlled by a dude who totally looked like a bad floppy dildo,” she tried to cheer them all up. Then, out of the corner of her eyes, she noticed that the so-called ‘Siris’ was heading toward the hallway that Hargrove had gone down. “What the hell.”
“Where are you going?” the reporter in Andrews apparently couldn’t resist asking.
“To do my job,” Siris announced before stopping and turning. “Ah. Right. Commanding your friends.” He paused for a moment, then looked toward Dexter. “Kill them.”
With that, he started walking down the hallway while Kai’s brother stepped out to face them all, gun up and ready.
Kai’s eyes widened, she could feel the stinging of tears. “Dex?”
Perhaps it was an inherited trait, but Lavernius Tucker Junior would usually make a choice and immediately thinking about whether or not it was the right thing to do, the right call to make, what he could have done to make it better. But, walking down the halls of his supposed ancestors, behind a monster by another name, and in front of the father he loved more than anyone else in the universe but could not even get a reaction from, there was not one doubt in Junior’s head.
It was the right choice. And everything was still wrong. Which was also itself probably an inherited trait more than questioning his choices.
Unable to help himself, Junior looked back at his father yet again, mandibles quivering slightly. “Blargh,” he tried again desperately.
Tucker never lowered his head to so much as look down Junior’s way, just holding his battle rifle across his body as he walked. The hilt of the sword at his hip.
Slowly, Junior narrowed his eyes on the one detail, curious about — if everyone had been right and Hargrove intended to turn on alien artifacts through his father — why his father wasn’t using his sword.
“Bow chicka honk honk,” Junior couldn’t help himself after the thought.
“Heh.”
Eyes widened, Junior stopped and turned around to face his father, only to see him unreactive and continuing to march forward. Almost mindlessly. But at the same time Junior was so certain that he had heard something. Something that wasn’t the thoughtless machine Hargrove made Junior’s dad and the rest of the Reds and Blues sound like under his control.
Open his mouth again, Junior was ready to try to get his father’s attention with another joke only to be completely taken by surprise when his father shoved him forward using his gun. Then pushed him again, as if refuting the very idea that Junior could reach out to him.
By the time Junior obeyed and started walking again, they were in yet another chamber — one that seemed more technological and more mysterious than even in the inner sanctum with its ancient alien writings and tomes. And Hargrove was standing in the middle waiting on them.
His heart beat impressively fast in his chest as Junior stopped short of the bald old man.
“You must be brave to have taken a risk like this. Not many adults would have done the same for friends,” Hargrove acknowledged. “Of course, your kind has thick honor codes like the samurai, do they not? Preposterous stuff. You probably would find death at my hand to be the height of your own fable. I won’t give you such platitudes, so don’t concern yourself with them.”
Confused, Junior tilted his head. “Honk?”
The only honor he could think of was the kind that if he didn’t follow got him fouled out of basketball games he would play for his UNSC boarding school. Which meant that his current captor didn’t read up on Junior’s history and was racist either way Junior looked at it.
Which, with that face, wasn’t really all that surprising.
“Now, in order to get your father under… our influence,” the man began with what was, no doubt, about to be an exceedingly boring speech Junior didn’t want to hear exactly, “I have missed out on some very important opportunities when it comes to utilizing his potential, I’m afraid. His unique, and quite possibly very much unearned position as a diplomat between our species made him a cornerstone to solidifying Sangheilli trust in the UNSC’s narrative. And you. Well, if I had been able to get a hold of you between the broadcast your father’s friends rudely sent out across the known galaxies and you making a run of it to join up with your useless band of insurgents, we could have truly improved our bargaining position. But we are now where we are.”
Junior was looking around the room, trying to think of anything that was familiar about it from what little he knew about his own ancestors and supposed culture. The longer he went without getting bored but also without finding anything useful, the more his panicked heart picked up its pace.
The reporter had been right. He should have known more about his unknown father’s people. He should have learned more while he and his father worked with the peace corps. But because he didn’t, because of his lack of interest, he was going to end up as an eleven year old splat on the floor of an alien messiah and everyone else — his father, his friends, his family — they were going to die or be slaves of their own minds forever.
“According to my research team with Charon Industries, these unused temples in our unceded territories require some mythical key for their activation,” Hargrove explained.
Surprised, Junior looked at the old man, wondering how he had learned about it—
“But when questioning your father using… intensive interrogation tactics, he was very firm on the notion that he didn’t have a key that activated towers. He had a sword.”
Junior blinked.
No…effing…way…
“And according to another of the simulation troopers, memory was the key,” Hargrove continued. “Which led me to connect the dots.”
He couldn’t believe it. Junior could not believe this thing was actually happening.
“You were with your father on the peace corps journey. You would know how to activate your father’s key,” Hargrove determined.
“Blargh!” Junior gagged, sticking his tongue out to keep from throwing up at the notion.
As he jerked away, Junior finally noticed what he had been frantically looking for. His eyes widened as he saw the same cryptic designs and formation of an ancient alien lock in the room’s wall. The kind his dad would stick the sword through to unlock.
Before Junior could do anything with the information, there was the sound of someone coming up from the hallway. It was the mercenary from earlier. The one that Hargrove had put in charge of the Reds and Blues. Junior’s eyes widened as he realized what that must have meant.
Without further hesitation, Junior lunged forward at his father, knocking him over at the knees in a perfect tackle, then grabbed the hilt of the sword from his father’s hip. Junior began to run for the exit, but the mercenary was there and quickly kicked him back to the floor, sending him rolling.
“I knew there was never any point reasoning with your species,” Hargrove sneared. He then looked Tucker’s way as the aqua colored marine was getting to his feet. “Kill it.”
Junior looked at his father with surprise as the man he loved more than any other stood and aimed his gun.It wasn’t right — it wasn’t how saving his father was supposed to go.
