“Come on, guys. We’re in this for the long haul. We’re not just crewmates- we’re family.”
Teilson is the Skeld’s O2 specialist.
Passionate about plants since a young age, he is both a self taught and studied botanist and cares for them as he would an animal companion.
He is something of a homebody otherwise, knowing basic cooking, cleaning and household tasks- but is a master of none, save one.
He loves knitting and sewing. He often uses this skill to make cosmetic items for his crewmates as gifts.
The youngest on the ship, he is very energetic and often finishes his tasks before anyone else- he uses his extra time to either work on his hobbies or help his crewmates with their tasks.
And last but certainly not least- by boi Teilson.
I love all my beans- but this boi is our starry eyed protagonist.
Young and inexperienced outside a parental household- how will he fair in the great void of space where not everyone is as they seem?
(Yeah- I couldn’t resist the Rodamrix plushyXD)

When the bird explored its new nest
I hope you like part three of Phoenix's "adventure" onboard of SG/Lost Light @cuppajj because I sure do. Honestly, I couldn't even wait to get home and write, ever since I brainstormed ideas at work.
Eitherway, I hope anyone who reads this enjoys it! ^^
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
“Did you know that we had a medical bay?” Asked Phoenix as he cleaned and polished the unanswering remains of Rodimus Prime. “I didn’t know that! And it was even a big room, like, there was an off room too.” For Phoenix, seeing an actual medical bay with most of the equipment in takt was something straight out of a fairytale. Mostly because the ship of his captain didn’t even have a fully functioning medical bay, let alone a medic who could do his job right. So, imagen the youngling's surprise and pure joy as he found the new room while sweeping the hallway floors.
“Although… entering was… there were corpses inside…” Phoenix grew quiet as he recalled finding three dead mechs lying inside the medical bay. With one resting on the metal slap, as if they were still waiting for someone to do a much needed surgery, while the other two were in the off room. Leaning against the wall together, holding each other, as if they were afraid anyone could separate them. And that’s how Phoenix left them. Well, he left them mostly untouched, he did clean the room after all. Making sure that everything was as good as new, while snooping around.
“I mean… ever since I cleaned that ‘Swerve’s Bar’ room, I kind of got used to seeing dead mechs. I have been visiting that room after all, because of all the cool things inside. Also, I can’t walk around the ship without saying hello to the purple bunny man and his tiny friend! And I even found some new stuff behind the counter!” Phoenix couldn’t stop talking about his explorations. Granted, they mostly consisted of him cleaning the ship or running down the halls as fast as he could. He even once somersaulted down a corridor, but he got a stern talking from Lightlost for doing it. “I know where they are coming from. I’m young… I could hurt myself, but I did it! I did it, captain! And… and it… it reminded me of that one time I did my first salto while flying. Mother… she was… she said the same thing as Lightlost back then…”
Phoenix’s grib on the polishing rag grew weak as he thought about his mother. Primus, his mother. What would she say if she saw him now? No wings, disgracing corpses and jumping at the slightest move of a shadow. She would be disappointed. Phoenix was sure she would be disappointed in him. Oh so disappointed. “I… I think she wouldn’t want me back… no… Why would she? I… my crew didn’t like me… they probably told her I died or something… Maybe she will get a new kid. One that isn’t… isn’t…” He didn’t know when the tears started falling, but even if he did, Phoenix couldn’t stop them. Just thinking about his mother thinking the same as everyone else about him broke the younglings spark. “B-but it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter! As long… As long as she’s happy, I’m happy too. And that’s the most important thing.”
And with that thought, Phoenix went back to work. Whistling a small tune while making sure Rodimus’ armor would shine as if it was freshly forged, before dropping the rag back in his cleaning-kit box. “Oh! I nearly forgot to show you my newest treasure!” Chirped the youngling as he pulled out a sword from his subspace. Holding it out in front of Rodimus like a little kid showing their favorite person their most precious possession. “Isn’t it cool? I found it in the medical bay, in the off room. You know? One of the two mechs held a similar one in his servo. Kinda like he wanted to protect the grumpy one from something. This one was laying near the door. That’s why I took it with me. I mean, he probably won’t need it…. But should he need it, I will give it back. I swear!”
Phoenix swung the sword a little bit around. Mimicking a swordsman he once saw in one of Old Man’s human movies, before walking over to his sleeping space and laying it down next to the other items of his collection. Being extra careful as to not damage anything in the process. After that, he walked back to store away his cleaning-kit box, as a glimmer of something caught his attention.
“Captain?” Asked the youngling. Maybe it was a trick of the light, but he could have sworn that Rodimus’ optics were glowing brighter than usual, and… did they just move to look at something behind him? Why would he look behind him, when there was nothing-
“Hello little bird. I see you have cleaned our captain today? Didn’t I tell you, you don’t have to do such things?” Asked none other than the mech Phoenix came to call a friend ever since he met him. “I know….” Answered the young spark, as he turned around. Beaming up happily at the older mech. At least he thought that Lightlost was older than him. Most mechs and femmes were older than him after all. “But he’s a captain, right? And a captain should always look his best. You never know when there will be visitors and… call me stupid… but I have the feeling that he likes it?”
“He does? How would you even know if he did or not?” Asked Lightlost as he took a good look at his captain. Softly patting Phoenix on his helm, as he saw how good of a job the young spark did with polishing Rodimus. Although, the second he saw the captain’s slightly brighter eyes resting on him, he grew excited. This was the most alive he’s seen his captain, ever since he started to make sure no-one would ever take him away.
“Little bird, remember when you told me how much you would love to see the stars again?” This question was strange to Phoenix, but he still nodded “Yes, I remember, why”.
“There’s a closet near the MT office that’s in dire need of cleaning.” Said Lightlost. Their optics never leaving those of Rodimus. “If you go now and get done before I manage to get there, I will show you a spot on the ship where you can see the stars beautifully.” This response caused Phoenix to quickly gather his cleaning supplies, before rushing down the hall. After all, he wanted to see stars again, and even if it was only a small glimpse. And Lightlost knew that.
Carefully, as if he was scared a wrong move could destroy the moment, Lightlost kneeled down in front of his captain. Watching him as those red eyes followed his every move. “My dear captain. I never thought I would see the day when you would move again. Even if it’s just your optics.” This was a miracle, it must be. How long has it been since Rodimus did anything? How long has it been since Lightlost could interact with his captain and expect a reaction? How long has it been since Rodimus decided to come out of his mind?
For Lightlost, it felt like an eternity. An eternity he hated to spend all alone. Well, he wasn’t all that alone anymore now, was he? Ever since his little bird fell into his arms, he had company again.
His little bird.
“The youngling is good for you, isn’t he? Is that what you needed? Someone else who talked to you? Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Or… perhaps you have waited for someone special. Either way, now that I know I’m not the only one who likes the little bird, I’ll make sure he will never leave us, captain. Don’t worry, I will keep him safe.” Chuckled Lightlost, as he got up and made his way towards where Phoenix was.
“After all, he’s part of the crew now.”
How long has it been since Rodimus had a clear thought, or cared about what was happening? He can’t remember. And even now the muddling waves of his own memories always threatened to pull him down. After all, it was easier to pretend to be back when it all started. When his crew was alive. When he was still in control of his own fate. When he was… not this thrown together amalgamation of his crew.
Yes, it was easier to just pretend to be somewhere else and have his memories slowly bury him beneath their crashing waves, but as of lately, something changed. He could feel it in the ship’s field. The Lost Light seemed… happier. Maybe Rodimus would even say they seemed delighted, and after hearing the constant noise of something or someone chirping next to him, he decided to see what changed.
At first, he was blinded by the lights. The last time he opened his optics, the ship was dark. Already moving to trap them forever, but now? There was light and something moving around him. It took all his willpower to concentrate on who was standing in front of him. And when he managed to keep his thoughts together, he couldn’t believe his optics. A young mech who looked like him. Or at least how he looked, before he became… this…
And as he saw Lightlost appear behind the young spark and heard his words….
Rodimus found it hard to let his memories pull him back under.
