New England was not a place Francene was unfamiliar with. Not by a long shot.

It's one of the few places she could return to and not feel like she had to look over her shoulder every second of every moment, not even that wretched cowboy could make her feel afraid in the place where she grew up. Finding work and a new home wasn't difficult, the idea that she might run into Ayako again didn't bother her because things like that didn't happen, and so everything that happened before folded itself and rested neatly in the back of her mind.

The vampire donned longer, pitch-black hair that she kept brushed over one shoulder, and fake wire glasses that she enjoyed wearing. She sat in the living room with her recent student, Alison, quietly watching the young girl work out a division problem.

[MAKE-UP]: while applying make-up on the receiver's face, the sender cups their face in order to keep them still.

"Oh oops sorry Aya, I can't stay still!"

Delia's excitement bubbled within her as Aya prepared to give her a special makeover. She could hardly contain her anticipation, though she knew she had to remain still and patient. "I'm thrilled that you're giving me a little makeover," she admitted, her voice betraying her eagerness. "Okay, I'll stop talking now."

Delia pressed her lips together, trying to hold back her enthusiasm as Aya began to expertly line her lips. The absence of a mirror made it challenging for Delia to gauge the progress, intensifying her desire to see the final result. It took all her strength to remain calm and composed, fighting the urge to fidget or rush the process.

"You know where the setting spray is?" She asked and looked up as mascara was being applied by Aya's skilled hands.

((I'd say that Kira is hetero/demisexual and heteromantic. She's really only into guys and even then she finds it preferable to have emotional connections to them first. :) ))

💯 What is my muse’s ideal date?

((I think Kira likes one on one time but nothing too formal. Candlelit dinners aren't really her style because she feels it's maybe a bit forced? A bit too stuffy? If there's something to distract her date from trying to focus on her the whole time, then that's fine.

But I think she prefers grabbing coffees and snacks, walks or picnics, stargazing and late night talks in cars. But she's super into museums and daytrips to small destinations. Zoos are great, she loves zoos! Things like that. She prefers locations where there's something to talk about other than herself. Activities I guess you could say.))

Guess everybody thinks about the past, she certainly does. Just... Different memories. Some good, some bad. It’s hard not to, especially when alone and all you really have is your own mind. At least she had her stuffed bear to keep her company, she always had Teddy to talk to. He’s her best friend, and she was fine with just him. Well, mostly fine. 

It seems like everyone has lost their parents, and it really sucks. Everyone has a story like that, don’t they? She shifted slightly on the cushion, intertwining her fingers in her lap, a shallow breath of air blew through her lips. 

❝ I was born into this shithole, it’s all I know, ❞ Bailey gave a dry laugh, she leaned back, head rested against the cushion behind her and she stared up at the ceiling above. She strolled over to and kneeled in front of the fire, holding her hands up near the flames to warm her fingers. The warmth from a fire is always so comforting, so nice.

So this isn't actually something that I would refuse to write, I would, all it is, is that I would be very... Anxious? Nervous? About writing it. Things where our two muses are fighting each other, and the reason why writing something like that makes me super anxious is because I have no idea how to make something like that... Work? Especially with some muses.

I have a lot of very powerful muses, and in order to make certain things "fair" in a fight would mean making said very powerful muse very ooc by making them suddenly weak or dumb. A few of my muses would start and finish a fight without even physically touching their victim.

You know how when an all-powerful villain muse in a movie is basically ridiculously unbeatable and invincible and you're like, "how is this teenager with zero fighting experience who didn't even know supernatural shit existed before now gonna beat this dude" and in order for said zero experienced teenager to beat said dude is to suddenly make said dude kinda dumb and randomly weak all of a sudden when two minutes ago he was popping heads off with a single look? I hate it when movies do that 😂

Anyways yeah it just makes me nervous. I love powerful muses but then I'm scared for them to actually use those powers soooo 🫡

To sit directly in his immediate vicinity, across from him, when she had entered, had certainly not been intentional. Ayako didn’t know the person, but after a while of being absorbed in her work on her laptop, she felt herself reaching a limit. She decided to take a little break and, out of pure politeness, offer the man something as well.

There was a vending machine in the entrance area where you could buy snacks and drinks, so she felt it was a good idea to include him.

“Good,” she returned his answer and smiled, digging her purse out of her pocket. Without asking what he would want specifically, she got up and after a few minutes returned to the table where they were sitting.

“Nic Nac’s, chips and a little chocolate, since I didn’t know what you were in the mood for.” Aya placed the snacks in the middle between them and slid a little closer towards the stranger so she was level with him. Helping herself to a Snickers, she nodded in the direction of his notes. “Are you studying?”

Zoran didn’t know what he expected, but he was pleasantly surprised at the selection the woman got when she returned. She laid everything out on the table, and Zoran felt like a child on Christmas morning. Or what he imagined a child on Christmas morning might feel.

“Thanks! These are great,” he said, reaching for the chocolate. As he unwrapped it, he smiled at the stranger-- whose name he realised he didn’t even know. “Remind me to pay you back before we leave. I’m Zoran. And yeah, I’m...trying to study. The subject is just so boring I can barely keep my brain open. It’s about...kinds of bricks and other building materials. I hate it with a passion.”

"If I didn't like her, I wouldn't have hired. And as far as liking me, I don't think she does, but I don't blame her. I tend to be an imposing presence and intimidating, also being head of the company means you don't get many friends. But overall, she's a likable person- no doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if she makes a few friendly acquaintances here already. Overall, Aya is a mystery to me."

A mystery in which Maverick was dying to unravel- but he must be patient.
