Aurora was fed up with all the lies and sneaking around. Even though Tayce says she didn’t cheat and Aurora can’t really accuse her of that without proof, she’s still sick and tired of constantly feeling neglected. All the times she was left out, had to deal with her coming home drunk late at night and sometimes in the middle of the goddamn day. “Hey, day-drinking is a thing!” She’d say but what she won’t admit to having no control over her drinking habits. Aurora just tolerated it along with the attitude she’d sometimes give her for no reason or the coldness in her face, making her feel like she wanted nothing to do with her, that she was just a good fuck and sometimes not even that. Sometimes she’d push her away and Aurora would have no problem with Tayce not being in the mood but the issue was the words she’d say to her ‘You’re pathetic.’ ‘You’re not even that good.’ ‘My ex was better.’ ‘She wasn’t as needy as you.’ ‘’You’re such a needy slut.. A’WHORA.’ She was the one that made that name up, using it every time she’d slut shame Aurora, whether it was because her skirt was too short or her cleavage was showing and it goes on and on and all Aurora would do is just hold her tears back until the night comes as she makes up excuses in her mind such as ‘It’s probably just work-stress.’

She’ll never forget that day they had a fight over a date and she sent a vase flying at her, cutting her cheek. She still has the scar yet all she said to her friends when they’d ask was ‘Just a lil accident, you know how clumsy I can be.” But the last straw was last night when she found out that she had taken one of her model friends to one of the most dignitary fashion shows that models like Tayce rarely get invited to after she’d promise to take her months before, especially since it was her ultimate dream, being at a Vivienne Westwood show. She’d spent 2 hours getting ready. Form showering, bathing, and shaving to applying a face mask, styling her long blonde hair and putting on her makeup, making sure it’s perfect and flawless only to start searching for the dress she made specifically to wear to the show for an hour. She started crying out of anger and sadness when she went on Tayce’s instagram to see her already at the event with her friend wearing Aurora’s dress that she spent so long creating, she’d poured her whole soul into that dress.

After some contemplation, Aurora realized that enough was enough. She can’t take all this abuse anymore. Tayce was toxic and she needed her out of her life. She thought it was about time they break up and so she practically ran back to their apartment, eager to get rid of all the negativity and toxicity. She unlocks the door and gasps as soon as she sees the sight in front of her. Tayce had that very friend sat on top of her as they made out but the moment they heard Aurora’s gasp as the door spread open, the girl fled after Tayce pushed her off “Aurora, I-I can explain.” The said girl’s vision turned red as she felt her blood rush through her veins and her heart pound. She stayed silent as she looked into Tayce’s eyes, as if she was staring into her soul. She was blocking out every word that came out of Tayce’s mouth because all she could hear was her best friend’s voice in her head. She made her way to the kitchen with the latter following her, begging for her forgiveness. She turns to the taller girl who had her back facing her as she was sat on one of the counter chairs, explaining herself. “…and I’m sorry for backstabbing yo-“ Tayce’s words were cut off as she felt a knife plunged into her back and heard Aurora’s voice whisper into her ear “No, Tayce, I’m sorry for backstabbing you.” She pulled the knife out and deeply slit the girl’s neck to make sure she was gone for good.

Where was I on November 5th 2020? I honestly don’t know but I remember the early morning hours of November 6th 2020. I was at home, peacefully sleeping and probably skipping classes. And I woke up to check my phone and was confronted with a string of messages that would change me forever. At this time I haven’t been actively watching supernatural since the beginning of season 14 because I was going through some shit and it’s not a good show, let’s be honest. And on that faithful morning my friend- the same friend that had told me years earlier to check out this really cool monster hunter show and accidentally introduced me to the worst brain rot inducing shit I’ve ever seen- texted me as followed (roughly translated):

8:30am: uhm

8:30am: what’s happening on tumblr destiel is canon?

8:31am: well cas said he’s totally in love with dean or smth

8:32am: that’s wild

8:32am: how many seasons were there? 11?

and then I woke up and replied, still very composed and confused (I think she stopped watching after season 8)

8:58am: no idea wtf

8:58m: yea I just googled

8:59am: apparently cas confessed his love

then it slowly started to sink in

8:59am: I WOKE UP A MINUTE AGO FR

8:59am: WHAT

I suppressed most of my memories of my thoughts and feelings in that moment but luckily I sent a voice message and explained it to her. I think I was crying??? Maybe I was just sick and tired. Anyways, I googled what’s going on and read a news article about what happened and how they immediately killed cas and I was devastated without having seen the episode at all. I remember my whole mind being occupied that day with nothing but my 15 yo biggest dream coming true in the worst possible way. I wasn’t on tumblr much during that time but the chaos was so present even in my real life that day. It’s safe to say that Cas’ love confession kicked a screw loose in my brain and I haven’t been fully sane since.

In the days that followed I watched the speculations about the last two episodes of the show with anticipation and hope on tiktok. And when the finale came out I had caught up with all the episodes I haven’t seen yet. I remember sobbing when I watched Cas’ confession and when I watched the finale I was so deeply disturbed by how awful it was I couldn’t even feel sad about Dean (one of my favorite characters ever created). All I could do was stare at the screen in shock and disappointment. The rest is history: Dean reciprocated his feelings but only in Spanish, I made an ao3 account to somehow cope with my feelings of rage and need for gay happy love and fix-it fics, I got sucked back into the brain rot at full force and even created an epic powerpoint to share my insanity with my poor innocent friends, Biden won the election.

On December 14th 2020 I texted my dearest friend @awhora and it’s still true to this day:

1:54am: I haven’t had a good night of sleep since destiel went canon for the first time
