I highly recommend local bookstores because nowhere else can you pick up a book that is no different from any other books around it, which include publications by such authors as Ursula fucking Le Guin, and discover only once you get home that it's printed in batches of 200 and doesn't even have an associated ISBN. This has happened to me multiple times, and it is the best. This is not ironic, it's the funniest experience and you really will only get this kind of appreciation and uplifting of local and small artists in indie bookstores.

And also those books will usually knock your fucking socks off.

the idea of "influencers" both confuses me and pisses me off to the highest caliber. like what do you mean. what qualifications do you have to be influencing anyone. what are you famous for... being famous? I don't get it.

I read that Aziraphale enthusiast fan's ask and I gotta say, as a fellow enthusiast I can relate. I will greatly miss the era of book Aziraphale being depicted as a bastard in fanfiction. I love, loveee that characterization of him in the book and in fanworks. I'm just like you in the sense that I want my fanfics to be in-character. I barely even read fanfics anymore in my current fandoms bc of how OOC most works are. In the book omens fandom, what I appreciated was the fact that just from the snippets we got from the book, people could perfectly replicate the sense and feeling of how A/C were written. I think I sent an ask to you many years ago abt Afrai's fic where Azira gets a kid's body and is mischievous to the bullies. I absolutely adore people writing him like that. And it's a big shame to me that all the TV omens fans are ever gonna write about is the side of him that's all pure goodness. Give me my sassy, morally grey man! like that... It's good that the fandom is so big now, more content and all but it really does make you miss the old stuff, huh... I hope all these people watching the show try the book too.

Yeah......after the show came out I honestly stopped reading Good Omens fanfics for the most part (unless I'm just out to look for crack or straight up AUs) because I'm super picky and after running into a bunch of TV centric fanfics with "Crowley's flaming red hair" or scenes with the Bentley playing something other than Queen for no apparent reason, I just stopped. Show!Aziraphale is a goody-two-shoes soft pure little angel......and we just miss our bastard.

The way i refuse to watch this damn finale. I refuse to learn what happens next let me live in my fantasy where

we get a flashback into sand and boeing's relationship that makes sand look even more pathetic sadboy and ray annihilates boeing verbally before telling sand to go handle that man. after getting handled, sand and ray fuck in every room in the hostel, boeing goes back to the bar where he meets boston who is interested but still focused on nick, says he has a boyfriend, and boeing suggests his boyfriend join them. nickbostontop threesome, boston achieves a new level of self-acceptance and possibility and nick is blissfully getting topped by two men. boeing leaves bc clearly boston and nick are all over each other. he and nick discuss the boundaries of their polyamorous relationship. top and mew have a fight over christmas decorations after moving in together, their tension seeps into their christmas party/housewarming where they decide to invite and forgive boston, but mew is still salty. afterwards they have another fight and breakup right before a fire happens. fast forward a year and they all meet up again at boston's photography exhibition (covered wall to wall in photos of nick's ass) and are like "that was a fucking crazy year right?" Boston and nick are still casual and open. Theyre tryna seduce the gallery owner. sand and ray are disgusting together (sand is singing micro songs to him). they all catch up and mew is more experienced as a slut and maybe going through another breakup and top has sought out therapy for his trauma and compulsive lying and has been single for a while. they look into each others eyes and maybe theres something still there we don't know its open ended. the end.
