Having extended our current unbeaten run to nine games with a Europa League victory over Real Sociedad, the Reds narrowly missed out on advancing as Group E winners by just one goal.

There were lots of positives to take from Thursday's 1-0 triumph in San Sebastian, after beating West Ham by the same scoreline at Old Trafford last weekend had marked an impressive end to October.

Now the focus switches back to domestic action and our trip to the West Midlands for the first of two back-to-back games against Villa. One further fixture, Fulham away, will then follow before the season pauses for the commencement of the World Cup.

I just hope we pull out a win today to keep our good form running. Come on United!

Matchday! Just five days after Manchester United knocked Aston Villa out of the FA Cup, the teams will be meeting again, this time at Villa Park, with United needing all three points to keep within touching distance of the top four.

The tie on Monday was poor for both teams, neither team was able to take control of the game and give the opposing team a sustained period of problems in the game, with the deciding goal coming only eight minutes into the game by Scott McTominay.

I hope we won't replicate last Monday's performance and it would be nice to add salt to Villa's (and Slippy G's) wounds today. Come on United! 🔴
