Last Series: just started Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2!! (is it scandalous to mention on my sw blog lol?) I am also finishing up Star Trek: Discovery s2!

My lines: a line about longing, a passionate line, a line expressing relief, a line that screamed, a funny line

a line about longing from an original WIP:

It is easy to think of fragments of sentences, of pleas, now she has allowed herself this moment to dream. For all their differences, Alex and she are the same in one significant way: paragraphs and soliloquies and poetry flow from their hands and lips like water. She has devised masterpieces that founding fathers quote in their writings. He has brought financial systems into existence with only a pen. And for what? This gift, this commonality, has not given her Alex. She cannot tell him her true hopes, her deepest fears, not even her real name. For all the sentences they have given the world, there are so many words left in the space between them.

passionate line from this evlynn fic:

“Even when I didn’t know you, I knew you,” she promises, arms aching with the desire to wrap around him. He presses his forehead to hers.

“Even when I didn’t know you,” he replies, pulling back only just, and yes, there are the tears, sliding down his cheeks as he cages her in his embrace, “I loved you.”

And when she does, she can feel when he wakes because his lips split into a wide grin that halts any semblance of a kiss. “Nat,” he gasps, breathless, kissing her harder. The way she is leaning against her elbow is awkward, but her back isn’t implicated, so she deals with it to let Tony kiss her for a few more seconds. “You’re alive,” he murmurs, anguished and relieved and she has to squeeze her eyes shut to keep her tears from falling. “I’m furious with you, by the way,” he adds against her mouth, bringing up a hand to tangle in her hair. He kisses her harder for a brief moment, but they are broken apart naturally by the way they both can’t help but smile.

Mulder forces a teasing smile to his face, though he feels none of the emotion behind it. “Who’s going to second guess me if you’re not there?”

Scully goes rigid, cold, and he knows he’s misstepped. “You can turn on all the recordings of the many voicemails I’ve left you over the last few months. Even better. You can’t ditch a recording machine.”

His voice goes low. “I can’t turn your soul on."

No--my parents were doing good to find a name they agreed on 🤭

2. When was the last time you cried?

Reading a fic last week--it involved Tech and Crosshair being reunited--big surprise!

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Eyes and hair

6. What's your eyecolour?

Blue with amber around the iris

7. Scary movies or good endings?

Too much scary sticks in my mind, even if it's not horror per se. Bring on all the happy endings!

I do some music and some crafts

10. What are your hobbies?

writing, reading, aforementioned music and crafts

11. Do you have any pets?

Not at the moment--but I'm already planning for future kitties😻

12. What sports do you play/have you played?

I did gymnastics through most of elementary school, cheerleading in 5th grade, and dance from 1st-10th grades. None of it was competitive--just for fun 😊

All the music (at least until I tried to major in it), reading, history/geography

My sister @digitaldaisy99 and I were JUST talking about this! (We came to the conclusion it’s either he heats up one tiny spot like elbow or something and that ignites his whole body or he creates a quick spark with like his claws or something...)

We talked it over with some people on discord and we came to the conclusion that heating themselves up through their pores or something did make more sense than shooting sparks through their pores, yes. We also thought that they probably don’t focus their heat, and instead their riders just bear it, kind of like they already bear with the fire. I think, since they’re not designed (in-universe) to be ridden, there’s no reason why they’d evolve to focus their heat on a certain body part.

The claw thing, though, didn’t occur to us, and I for one, love it! It’s very clever and it actually has a lot of narrative potential? It’d look cool, and the whole “limit their body movement and limit their fire” thing could be a nice limitation and source of dramatic tension.

Kinda bummed my “chemical fire” theory was picked up by precisely no one. Guess I’ll keep it for if I ever make a fic.

You’re so right! Snotlout was going through Hiccup’s bags then too. And complaining about the day old biscuit.

I’m picturing them off on an adventure together, and Snotlout is like “I’m hungry!” And Hiccup is like “there’s hard candy in my saddlebag. Go ahead and have some.”
