Seclusion: To one of the calmest and clean beaches from Tamilnadu, the Auroville shores. I will refrain from giving the exact location, striving to preserve the solitude of this place. But it is relatively easy to find and should you reach this beach, and this pier, I request you to not litter. Auroville is one of those places that you can nestle into right from arrival. There was no feeling of foreignness for me, as I strolled through the streets of this global community. People from Americas, Europe and Asia migrate here to volunteer, contribute, learn and grow, for spells of time, enriching the culture of this place, layered and yet holding fast to its traditional roots. Walk for Auroville Unity, July 2nd 2022

Auroville is an international township located in the south of India. It was founded in 1968 with the support of the Indian Government & UNESCO with the purpose of realizing human unity. Auroville is not an ashram but rather an idea put into practice by citizens from over 58 Nations to work towards this goal of realizing human unity. Auroville belongs to nobody but humanity as a whole, above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities.

The ideas of it's founder Mother Mirra (Mirra Alfassa) and Sri Aurobindo created the framework for the idea of a real human unity to be possible. This structure was strenghthened and fortified by the Indian Government after her (Mother Mirra) passing by the Auroville Foundation Act 1988.

On Saturday July 2nd, around 500 Aurovilians gathered in response to the disharmony Auroville is currently facing, in order to counter the division which is being created, from without and frm within.
