Help me choose my party.
I am—and by extension, you are— heading to Chiron’s Doom. I cannot go alone. The game will not let me. Despite my misgivings about all of these strange rakehells, forlorn souls, mad-eyed seekers, and horrible blorbos of sundry makes and models, I cannot make the journey alone.
For slot 1 of 3, do I take:
Sparra Simms, a Grad Student from the Alienist’s Guild: She learned eye contact from a book, and is terrified that she’s doing it wrong, so she’s substituting enthusiasm for accuracy. Her robes are grounded with chokewire sigils in patterns that make my eyes water. She needs this job, because her thesis (already written) requires citations and the word of her otherworldly sponsors don’t count apparently. There is no language she cannot speak.
Bottom-Groat Gollivar, an Adventure-Capitalist (and Crux, the Alleged-Mule): Gollivar’s got an easy-going charm that shouldn’t ever exude from someone who presented a list of graves previously robbed as a resume. He’s got stuff, though, and that’s for sure. Most of it, he claims, is actually from Chiron’s Doom, and it wants badly to go back. He’ll sell some to me if I’d like. Crux, however, the not-quite-mule, crunches apples and spits out intact skins. Crux has clearly been to Chiron’s Doom before. Both of them are clearly skilled to have survived this long in their professions.
Marquis d’ Sercasso, Ovin Weems, Old Money and plenty of it: Freakishly well-equipped and startlingly intense for a person bred and raised in the lap of luxury, Ovin has already mapped the quickest route to the entrance to Chiron’s Doom and the Wellspringg beyond. They try to take my hand, tears dripping black from the corners of their kohled eyes. The dreams, apparently, started when they were named heir to Sercasso. They will find the heart of the Wellspring and Old Sercasso will rise again from the mires of the South. Magic will return to the world, and I could be a part of that. Don’t I want to be a part of that? They have more money than God.

Its just so tiring seeing people already declaring the marvels as a "flop" just cause it had the lowest opening weekend
Not only is it tiring (there is misogyny and racism behind the resulting in it being a "flop," no doubt) it's unfortunately true if we're talking money. Although the audience clearly likes the film -- as seen in the screenshot below which I took this morning, at Nov. 13, 2023 -- currently the film's box office earnings are lower than even The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton (2008) which earned $55.4 million.
Tumblr media
The audience loves this film, but Disney/MCU are still basing their success off of the monetary gain off of a scale that seems to be (as I assume) from pre-covid and pre-streaming boom times.
This is why going out and spending money to see good movies is important. The language that companies speak is monetary; they don't care about feelings. If something didn't do well at the box office it's considered a failure no matter how good it actually is. For example, look at one of Disney's now-beloved films Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
And, for all those who hark about equality and diversity and #BLM, they should have been at the front of this in promotion and money. But alas, even on the internet Loki is trending more than The Marvels
Forgotten Addition: as of today (November 13, 2023) The Marvels has earned $47 million domestically in the box office since opening day

Hey, I just took your Romeo & Juliet Quiz (I got Friar Lawrence, not important) could you post the other answers from the quiz? I wanna know what they are but I don’t wanna take the quiz a bunch.
Thanks for making it! It gave me the willies in a good sorta way, you also made me think about what I liked about Romeo + Juliet (the flowery language) which was a nice reminder.
Thanks! ◡̈
of course! answers below so i’m not clogging up everyone’s dash lol
romeo: you were doomed from the start. you would have lived a life of friendship and fun, perhaps a bit of flirting if that's something that interests you. you could have published poetry. but your emotions controlled you. you were punished by the universe for a fleeting bit of passion to serve as a lesson for the cynical. hopefully you left an impression. your passion is explosive. your loyalty a boon. if only the world were fair.
juliet: you were doomed from the start. you were robbed of a chance to become anything. controlled by everyone in your life, even the ones that genuinely cared, and the one good thing you had led to your destruction because the hands of fate deemed it so. your trust in others is admirable. your optimism is enviable. your hope burns. if only you were living a different life.
mercutio: you were too loyal. not even for your own cause. you had no stake in this affair, and yet when your friend was threatened you leapt to his defense. you were doomed, but was it even for anything? does anyone mourn? no matter how much you proclaim you don't care, your caring is too great. you bare your heart to the world and it ended up getting scratched. if only the world were kind.
benvolio: it may be different from the others, but you were still doomed from the start. the horror of being the most reasonable one in the group is that means everyone else makes mistakes. everyone else must face the consequences. everyone else gets hurt while you stand there unharmed. no matter the warnings you give, they still are punished. you can't help someone who the universe decided must be destroyed. i admire that you still try. if only the game hadn't been rigged from the start.
tybalt: your passion doomed you. you thought you knew what was right. you thought you deserved it. you thought if you fought for it you could get it. communication is hard, so you tried something else, you wanted to defend, to attack, to prove something to someone. but you couldn't. you never could. you tried to meddle with fate and ended up at its mercy. if only the world listened.
friar laurence: you thought you could help. and you did, you really did. you were there for the happiness. but that also meant you were there when there was nothing left. a guiding hand is only so helpful. you plan and plan and plan and mistakes still happen. and when you don't consider those mistakes, everything can go wrong. fate will find the smallest flaw and wrench everything from you. if only you realized that sooner.
nurse: you cared for them. you loved them. you were always there. but there was nothing you could have done. it's not your story. you perpetually stand in the sidelines, watching people suffer for something you have no involvement in and yet you care. you care for them. but no matter how much you love them that doesn't change that they'll end up in a tomb someday. if only it weren't so soon.

DadGoro Navigator Quotes Help
originally I had a concept I was going to post about "Teen Akeshu Daughter from the future gets sent to the past during P5R", but I got preoccupied.
She tries to play matchmaker to get Akiren and Akechi on the right path. But she also can't risk revealing who she is so to Akechi and Akiren she's a random teen around Futaba and Sumire's age that sorta resembles themselves for some reason, and must be a specially unhinged Akechi fangirl that hardcore ships Akechi with the Phantom Thief Leader for some reason, because wow is this girl not subtle at all in her attempts to pair them up.
So when she joins the group in their Metaverse adventures and fights alongside them, and Akechi takes role of Navigator, he especially makes his irritation of her known and just how much he doesn't give a shit what happens to her in battle.
("Akagi" is her "undercover" surname)
“Akagi-san’s health is down. Heal her I guess~”
“What a tragedy, Akagi-san has perished.”
“Oh, Akagi-san is fully healed and ready to continue to grace us with her presence~”
“Akagi-san has been incapacitated. Can't say I'm surprised.”
But once he finds out she's his future daughter—-
Granted, the fact that he’s destined to eventually have intercourse that leads to knocking up his rival is—-alot to take in—-. but this is his daughter. His future flesh and blood, he—oh he feels like such a piece of shit 🤦. Curse his trust issues and natural skepticism, he was a fucking dick, how is he going to fix this?
The “Daughter Reveal” makes him take a 180 in his behavior towards her. Something just clicks and “Fuck this annoying suspicious little shit.” Turns into “I've only known Komari for a couple of months, but if anything were to happen to her, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.” With zero warning.
and this shows especially in battle.
"Oh, what an absolute tragedy, Akagi-San has died, tip your masks in respect everyone. She will be sorely missed, if only we had a revival on hand~"
To:
!
"MY BABY!
JOKER, GET THE REVIVAL ITEM, HEAL HER, HURRY HURRY, GET IT OUT FASTER, OUR PRINCESS IS FADING, ARE YOU THIS USELESS WHEN YOUR OTHER TEAMMATES ARE IN NEED OF HEALING?!
when infected with ailment, Akechi and Joker immediately tag team her with the feather fans to bitch slap the ailment away.
Akechi or Joker always perform a followup attack when she's having her turn in battle.
After a successful battle and if her Persona levels up and gains a new ability, the group comments would mostly be Akechi's "proud dad" attitude shining through, and drawing attention and demanding the rest of the group pay attention and praise his badass little princess, or he himself rambling and boasting about her new power before catching himself and covering it with a more subdued complement.
Then, a friend mentioned dialogue for other battle actions like Baton Pass and Ailments that I didn't even think of!
So I'm going to have you fellow Akeshu fans participate because I'm having trouble coming up with more Proud Dad Akechi dialogue.
Write some dialogue reactions for Akechi if his and Akiren's daughter was a playable party member.
(you don't have to fill out all these sections. Just, if you come up with a line for one of the below actions, reply or reblog with it and once I get enough participants I'll make another post.

I'm trying out a thing in an attempt to force my brain to produce some writing juice.
This is loosely aligned with my Kingdoms of Fish stories, which share the basic premise of an unaging (looks and sometimes acts 14, but is chronologically an adult) Danny exploring weird places in the GZ with the help of his parents, but which don't necessarily share other headcanons.
.
"So," said Danny, sidling up to his parents as they pored over data side-by-side, "I've been thinking about places I could visit next."
"That's nice of you, sweetie, but we have enough data for what we're working on," said Mom, subtly angling her screen away from him.
"Yeah," said Danny, looking to the right to see that Dad was doing the same, "but you won't let me help with whatever you're doing, and you won't let me go through the portal unmonitored," he shot a glare at the barred portal door and the DNA lock on which he had suspended privileges, "and I can't really just go out, except at night.  I can only play Doomed for so long before I start to lose my mind."
"What about those online college classes we signed you up for?" asked Dad.
Danny shrugged.  "I'm caught up."
"What about–?"
"You're killing me here," said Danny.  "Come on, I didn't even do anything wrong.  Why are you grounding me like this?"
Grounding him in general was unfair.  Even if he didn’t look it, he was an adult!
"It's not that you did anything wrong," said Mom, putting her screen to sleep and turning to face Danny, "it's about safety."
"That's ridiculous."  Danny crossed his arms.  "I'm stronger than almost anyone I'm likely to run into.  It's not like Ancients are just hanging out next to the portal, waiting to jump me.”  He bit his lower lip, and when neither Mom nor Dad immediately responded, he switched gears.  “There are places I haven’t shown you yet that are supposed to be really safe!”
“You thought Three Twilights was safe.”
Three Twilights was safe.  Some parts of his visit to the cities had probably been a bit alarming for his parents to watch, but he hadn’t been in any danger.  Especially not in Civila.  But he wasn’t going to argue that now.
“Even safer!  These are like tourist destinations.  Even for ghosts, most people don’t like their body plans shuffled too much.”
Dad frowned, looking dubious.  “Tourist destinations in the Ghost Zone?”
“Ghosts are people, too.  They like to take vacations.  Unending vacations, sometimes.”
Mom sighed through her nose.  “Why don’t you tell us the places, and we will consider putting together a plan to investigate them after we’ve finished with our data.”
“Mom, please, I’m so bored.”
“Hi, so bored, I’m Dad!”
Danny groaned.  “I’m suffering and you’re making jokes.”  He considered leaving, but that might be seen as immature, and he wouldn’t be able to tempt his parents with knowledge of the Ghost Zone.

Further elaboration: I am imagining the first attack spell a rookie learns. In a video game this is your absolute basic single target attack with no extra bells or whistles, the one spell you don't have to unlock and perhaps it doesn't even cost mana to cast. Please assume for the sake of this system that there would only be one attack spell this simplistic, so if you think there are multiple answers try to pick the most suitable.

AU game: the grandmother dies when Jane is ten 👀
Five fun facts meme. Interpreted as 'five things that would happen' because I don't know how many of these are, uh, fun. Also it's more than five, because I have no self control.
Jane goes to the funeral, of course. She does not cry. She wears a new dress that Aunt Sylvia bought her, when it became clear that Mother would not be able to pull herself together enough to handle the logistics of preparing her daughter for the funeral. Everyone keeps assuring Jane that the grief she feels is normal, and that she will feel better if she can cry and let out her feelings. She is given a week off school to mourn. Aunt Sylvia offers to let her stay over with them for a few days.
Jane does not tell anyone that, although she does not know the word for what she is feeling, she's pretty sure that grief is not it. She feels very dreadful indeed, that she cannot grieve her own grandmother.
The house on Gay Street seems to have died with Grandmother. Aunt Gertrude fades ever more into the wallpaper. She continues the routine perfectly, almost aggressively. It is as though Grandmother will return at any moment and Aunt Gertrude will not be the one to be scolded by her mother for letting the house go. Mother fades into herself. She stops going out, stops putting on her pretty, expensive clothes, barely leaves her room. She alternates between wild grief and furious merriment, dotes on Jane and refuses to see her each in their turn. Robin is devastated that her mother is dead. Robin is overjoyed that her mother is dead. Robin is finally free. Robin is more trapped than she has ever been.
It's Mary and Frank who keep the house going. Frank runs errands and takes Jane to school and sees to it that she has new clothes when she starts to outgrow her current ones. Mary keeps them fed and stocked and makes sure Miss Robin eats something every day. She lets Jane help her in the kitchen as much as she likes, because the poor child should have something to cling to, with her world in upheaval.
Irene Fraser learns that Victoria Kennedy has died. She makes some rapid calculations and decides that her brother must never know. If he is ever to move on from his youthful mistakes, he must never get wind that there is anything out of the ordinary in Toronto.
But Andrew Stuart bows to no one, and that spring he gets it in his head that he must see his daughter again. Irene tries to talk him out of it, argues and manipulates and, when all else fails, pleads with Andrew to leave the past in the past and let things lie. Andrew will not be swayed. He writes to his wife and demands that she send him their only child.
Andrew's letter sends the house on Gay Street into renewed chaos. They had just started to claw their way out of the pit, to find a new balance and start living again. Aunt Gertrude continues to live by her schedule, keeping the house spotless and presiding over Jane's evening bible reading. But somehow, without Grandmother, she seems softer. Not more approachable, or kinder, or anything perceptible, but somehow Jane doesn't dread the evening bible session anymore. Mother, meanwhile, is slowly, timidly, starting to emerge from her overwhelming grief. She is fragile still, and rarely gets through the day without crying, but even that seems to soothe her. She doesn't go out, can't bear to face her pretty, glittering friends, not when her feelings are so big and so complicated and so overwhelming, but she resumes some of her correspondence. Jane is still dreadfully worried about her, and conspires with Mary to make all her favorite dishes. She asks Miss West if Jody couldn't come over in the afternoons, after the lunch rush, to sit with Mother and keep her company while Jane is at school, and Mother finds some life back teaching Jody to play the piano and taking her out for nicer clothes. Mary, who sees everything even if she doesn't let on, calls on Miss West and negotiates a fee for Jody's time, so that the poor girl won't find herself punished for wasting time.
When they receive Andrew's letter, they almost lose Robin again. Jane, who is by this point accustomed to thinking of herself as the secret head of the household, takes it upon herself to answer the letter. She shall not go to him, she writes. He has not wanted her until now, and she cannot leave Mother alone in her grief. Please do not write them again.
Andrew does not write to them again. Andrew goes to Toronto and knocks on the door.
It is very ugly, at first. Robin cries. Andrew demands to know why she didn't write to him to say her mother was dead. Robin, in a fit of bravery that could only be fueled by sheer emotional exhaustion, asks why he didn't write to her first, all those years ago, when she left.
The room goes silent. Andrew says he did write to her. Robin says she never got the letter. All three Stuarts, silently and with utter certainty, realize what must have happened to it.
In the end, Jane does go with Andrew to the Island. Andrew invites Robin along too, but she refuses. Better for father and daughter to spend time together without her, since she's had Jane to herself all these years. Privately, she knows that she couldn't bear to exchange so much as one word with Irene Fraser, not when she is so fragile and everything is so new. She and Jane write to each other regularly, and with no forbidden subjects. Jane discovers freedom, true freedom, on the Island, and Robin spends her time doting on Jody and, slowly, venturing out into the world. She wants to be brave for her daughter, wants to have things to write about that won't make Jane worry. To her own surprise, she realizes that, when she can set her own schedule, she does not mind going out. She missed the parties and the socializing, now that she can refuse an invitation when she wants to and choose for herself whether or not to spend an afternoon in. Robin and Andrew slowly get to know each other again, first through Jane's letters and, eventually, through their own correspondence. They continue writing after Jane comes back to Toronto for the fall.
That year, Andrew comes to Toronto for Christmas.
Next summer, Robin and Jody visit the Island for a few weeks.
Slowly, the family heals.
Send me an AU and I'll give you five an amount of things that would happen in it!

HABITANTS OF TUMBLR, LET'S MAKE A SONG TOGETHER
Basically, I'm going to do this step by step. The rules are simple.
I'll first ask you your choice based on something. I'll take the choice of the first person to answer. (for example, I'll ask you a music genre, and you can suggest whatever you want).
I'll repeat this step many times. If I already picked your answer, please let others make the next choices.
You can suggest anything, as long as it's not discriminatory or toxic.
On the other hand, if you want to include things about real life, (for example, for the freedom of a country, to honour a deceased person's memory, ect...), you can definitely suggest that.
Try not to make your suggestion too specific. Instead of suggesting a specific character or show, suggest something relatable to those.
I may ask you a band or a musician for inspiration. I won't take suggestions for a problematic one.
I think that's all. Have fun!
