OMG guys. I've been studying Kim Jiwoong for a little bit since he debuted in zb1. Every time I've looked at him, I'm like "this guy looks so fucking familiar". I do a bit of research only to find out of he was the one in that kpop group that went somewhat viral for the sexual harassment the male idols experienced from their female CEO and some other woman. They harrassed them in front of the daughter of the CEO. The group name was ATEEN.

In this group, he went by the name King. I remember this group's story it was so fucking tragic and sad. I just didn't know who the hell Jiwoong was until his popularity now in ZB1

A-Teen (currently rewatching it with my best friend, is the essential hs Kdrama, explores so many of the problems that teens face without minimizing them, really embraces that lonely/scary feeling of being in such a turbulent time in your life)

Business Proposal (the romcom of all time, if you are someone who enjoys a good trope or a well done cliche this is the place for you, it will make you laugh so hard and feel so much)

Our Dating Sim (aljslkasjfkd so so cute, very much Semantic Error vibes and I love that, loved the dynamic and characters so much)

The Eighth Sense (yes give me the good mental health representation, women friends, and cute relationships)

Dream (movie, watched it just for IU tbh)

Thai:

Love in the Air

Kinnporsche (this gave me indescribable brainworms but I could never explain it)

The Eclipse (the series really benefited from how comfortable first&khaotung are with each other, honestly they are friendship goals, but the show itself really tackles some great issues in the schooling system and how they relate to oppression overall)

Until We Meet Again

Between Us (yeah Tumblr really won with this one, I saw one too many winteam posts and had no choice, I do love a relationship driven show and the way the show pulled in discussions about trauma and family struggles was wonderful, I have never seen more of a middle child than win)

Bad Buddy (what can I say, once again the actors have insane chemistry and their comfort with each other really shows on screen, also nanon really is just a powerhouse actor, its sort of a modern Romeo and Juliet but has the most open & honest communication in any media I've ever seen)

So I don’t know every little detail on the omega x situation and I don’t want to cause what I did hear is really starting to bother me. Never read any of the threads on twitter or kept up with the fan account I’m following on insta because I’ve heard enough. I don’t want to hear anymore. I’m sad about it and mad at the monsters responsible and I really don’t want to get into it and have this be a rant but what I did hear makes my stomach twist every time I think about it, and I’ve been thinking about it all day and it makes me want to vomit and rip my skin off. Can’t imagine the horrors the members are going through, I just can’t stop thinking about my lil jinwoo and yanghyuk specifically. I wish I could give them all hugs and comfort them and all that cringey sappy stuff. I hope they have their friends and family for support. It reminds so much of what happened to ateen it was a very similar situation and also trcng.

Anyway I would love if anyone is willing to help distract my thoughts and cheer me up with literally anything positive or fun. Send me pics or memes or message me in the dms or through my asks and submission literally anything. Maybe some more pics of Lien or Mingi or anything to cheer me up a bit? Listened to N.flying and Secret Number today, they have songs that cheer me up and it helped but now I’m thinking again. currently thinking about steve harrington, pop music lover and abba enthusiast, discovering a*teens in the early 2000's.

he's a high school teacher and the kids introduce him to 'bouncing off the ceilings' which, quite frankly, takes a few listens to grow on him. it's high pitched, high energy, and too much to listen to on a grainy boombox at 8am. but on the fifth or so play of if, he finds himself tapping his toes to the beat and humming along.

it seems like a no brainer to stop at the store on his way home and pick up the cd, 4 bright and smiling faces peering up at him from the cd case, the name 'a*teens' big and bold across the top. he listens to it in the car, a little bit impressed the further the tracks go on, and brings it inside to finish listening to as he cooks dinner.

when eddie gets home, coveralls covered in grease and hair pulled back in a low ponytail, he stops in his tracks at the music. steve turns around wondering where his daily kiss on the cheek after work is only to see eddie standing in the doorway with his face scrunched up.

"what the hell are you listening to?" eddie asks, condescension lacing his tone. steve rolls his eyes and turns the music up louder on the remote, flashing eddie a cheeky smirk.

"something the kids were listening to today. i think it's pretty catchy."

he turns back around to tend to the ground beef on the stove while eddie finally comes into the kitchen to wash his hands and give steve his well-deserved kiss. the cd is sitting on the counter and eddie picks it up, fake gagging at the cheesy lyrics spilling out of the sound system.

"stevie, even for you this is... bad," he says as he casually flips through the cd jacket, reading over the over-processed lyrics and photos of the teen stars. steve's about to defend himself when eddie perks up, a half grin on his face and shoves the booklet into steve's face.

"can i help you-?" steve squaks out and eddie points quickly at a line in the back of the pages. "-what?"

"look," he whines, slamming his finger into the page once more. "read."

formed in 1998, a*teens consists of members amit, dhani, marie and sara. as an official cover band of the swedish pop group abba, make sure you grab their first album the abba generation with hits like "mamma mia" and "dancing queen"!

steve turns to look at eddie, his mouth open just slightly in shock, disbelief flooding through him. "no fucking way. no wonder i like them."

eddie laughs and sets the cd case down, wrapping his arms around steve from behind and pressing kisses to the back of his neck. the two stand in the kitchen laughing and swaying to cheesy pop songs blaring on their too nice speaker system while the ground beef in the pan almost burns.

later that night when they're in bed and trying to fall asleep, steve can feel eddie humming where he's cuddled up against his chest. the notes sound similar and when steve can finally place it, he presses his smug grin against eddie's shoulder.

"told you it was catchy."

recently i’ve been rewatching a-teen with a friend (who’s seeing it for the first time) and we just finished the part where the girls reconcile

and my friend started saying how that was unrealistic because they just moved in and didn’t address any of the underlying issues? and how she wouldn’t do that/it would make sense for them to just cut of Kim Hana

and like i see what she means but it’s also funny when she tries to say i would also do that (not forgive & move on) when i’ve literally done that with her so many times
