How are we feeling about that episode tonight?

Not the copaganda obviously, that was trash, but how about the rest of it?

Like, I get that JLH wasn't going to be on the show much this season because of personal reasons, and at least they didn't kill her off or anything, but MADDIE MY LOVE you didn't have to leave! Your family needs you! They love you!

I still don't believe that Buck didn't know that something was wrong with Maddie. He knew immediately when something was wrong with Eddie, and the same with Bobby.

And the EddieAna breakup? It was great. Honestly, I feel like if he didn't break up with her, she would have broken up with him.

Now Buck just needs to realize that Taylor isn't what he really wants, who he really wants, and we're set.

anyway-

they really could have written around JLH needing to not be on the show sooo much better. like maybe talking to her partner? them coming to an agreement about getting her treatment together? like this feels very much like they are ignoring all the character development maddie has been through and im so confused.

the way she was trying so desperately to delay the inevitable, god it was brutal to watch. but like im so happy that he did, that's what he needed to do. but also yeah, she had half a foot out the door, she was trying just as much to force it to work. especially since she did pick up on the fact that thinking about a future with her was making him panic. but thank god shes gone.

and that "hi honey im home" was filled with sad sarcasm. like he is on the edge of his own realization, that maybe he "has been ana" but is also currently is, and is more invested than taylor etc. like those like 30 secs are giving me more to work with than the first 35 min at all.
