Hazbin Hotel Tickle headcanons!!
Tumblr media
I had 2 drafts in my drafts, and Tumblr won't let me edit them so now I'm pissed😭
Anyways, I just got into HH!! And I fucking love it omg!! ⚠️Tw! Implied SA⚠️
U guys can give me asks and reccomondations for like tickle fics or sum else over Hazbin Hotel, or anything in general!!
————————————
Alastor!!
Tumblr media
Ler:
-This men right here!!!
-Let me just tell you he's a massiver ler!!
-Like, he only tickles people as revenge, if someone tickles him
-And don't be that person who tries, trust me
-He only ever tickled Husk, because he's been that dumbfuck who actually tried tickling him
-He'll never do it again though.
-He turns really evil while tickling people, he turns into his demon form, and starts teasing his lee, Husk.
-It starts off with gentle teasing like, "Awww, u actually thought u'd get away?" Then he turns full Sayan on you, like, "HAHAH, IT'S CUTE YOU ACTUALLY TRIED THOUGH!!"
-Alastor just starts off rough, like no going back.
-He uses his big claws to do more damage then his fingerprints.
-It will feel like he's puncturing your skin, but he won't do that, he's trying to become "better" as I put it.
-So you don't know if it tickles or hurts like hell.
-You're in a mix of "Hahahah, stohohop Alastor!!!" And, "Ohohowww, Alastor!! Ihihihit hurts!!"
-When Charlie hears you say that last line, she'll jump in and try to stop it with, "Haha, okkk, Alstor, that's enough. They had enough, go easy on them, yeah?"
-Most of the time Alastor won't listen to her, so her girlfriend's gotta step in.
-"Hey, Radio demon! She told you to stop!" And Vaggie just hits him until he does and Charlie would tell her to go easy on him.
-It takes Vaggie to have Alastor to stop.
-"Next time you're gonna learn to not fuck with the radio demon, got it?"
-Then you, well Husk in this situation, would scramble away to catch your/his breath.
Lee:
-Okkkk, he's not really a lee at the Hazbin Hotel, because people knows his perdicament, and what would happen if u poked the bear, so you gotta be really stupid to test his theory.
-The stupid one would have to be Husk.
-Ofcourse.
-I mean they go way back so it would be unethical if he didn't at least try, right?
-No one could tickle Alastor long enough, before he transforms into a demon.
-I give 5 seconds tops, Alastor just really hates being tickled.
-You gotta tickle him at his worst spot for him to not turn into his form.
-It's his collar bone, so try getting there, Husk.
-He's really ticklish tho, but not the most ticklish, like he's in 4th place in this headcanon. Well, in Hazbin Hotel, period.
-Husk would just run up and try tickling him because Alastor would piss him off.
-Never again.
-So if, and only if, you manage to get his collar bone, you can take it from there, but u gotta stay tickling that place, because if you move anywhere else, he'll gain the upper hand and destroy you.
-He can't focus when u're tickling his worst spot.
Husk:
Tumblr media
Ler:
-He's not the best at tickling people, because he's so short so people can get the upper hand, but he tries his best.
-He's gentle but not gentle at the same time
-When he tries to tickle people, he starts off slow and teasy, but then rough and hard.
-He does try to tickle Alastor, but on rare occasions he does that.
-He lets his anger issues get the better of him, so Alastor pushes his buttons all the time, does Husk even learn his lesson?!
-No, obviously he doesn't
-He thinks everytime he tries to tickle the radio demon, he'll actually manage to do so.
-But it never worked out, until that one faithful night.
-Husk got fed up so much, he jumped on Alastor's back, his intentions weren't to tickle him though, but he accidentally clawed Alastor's collar bone, and he fell down with a cackle.
-Husk realized what he did, and started tickling him there
-"Awww, what's the prob?? U can't defend your self when this spot in paticular is targeted? I thought u were the radio demon??"
-But when you do get him there, u better be prepared to stay there for eternity, bc demons hold grudges... let me rephrase that, Alastor holds grudges
-So you're best bet is to not tickle him at all, Husk.
Lee:
-When Husk does get done tickling Alastor, he automatically turns into a demon and wreck him hard.
-"Did you really forget who's leash you're on, whiskers? Fuck around, and find out!"
-And Husk is dead, quite literally.
-Alastor won't let him go until he's panting out of breath.
-And he does, every. fucking. time.
-Husk is the third most ticklish person in Hazbin
-He hates being tickled too, so why does he keep trying to tickle the radio demon? After he knows the consequences?
-I don't really know. Guess it's Greed.
-But still, his worst spot is his toe beans and his ears.
-Alastor targets that last, only until Husk starts coughing.
-Charlie tickles him too, along with her girlfriend, Vaggie.
-Then he's fucked, because only Charlie will let him breath, she physically has to pull Vaggie off of him for a split second then they continue their torment
-Ik, it's out of character for Vaggie, but what can I say?
Angledust:
Tumblr media
Lee: ⚠️Implied abuse⚠️
-Hates being tickled so much, he will actually have a panic attack.
-This is where the implied SA is.
-Now, idk what u call it, but to me, it's kinda like abuse that Valentino put him through.
-Just because he's a porn star, doesn't mean he doesn't have boundaries, he does, and they need to be respected!!!
-I feel like Valentino put him through the worst tickle torture ever, for most of his videos.
-For the people who have tickle kinks
-And it drives Angle mad
-He would constantly tie Angle up and have his minions tickle him to peices.
-Bc Val also gets off to tickling too... well, let's put it more specifically, he gets off to Angle's laugh, and his pleads and begs to stop.
-Angle's literally over here panting for him to make them stop, "Val, plehehehhease, Mahhahhke them stop, Ihihihi can't breathe!"
-But Valentino, never listens, I mean why would he? Angle signed his contract, not the other way around. The spider is under Val's control in the studio, he's gotta do what he says. And if that means being tickled to near death, then that's what that means.
-But Angle never agreed to this torment, he never did like tickling growing up, so this torture made him act out when being tickled.
-I mean, if there's hints that u're finna tickle Angledust, or u like squeeze his sides, he would freak out, and fight back
-He once nearly killed Husk for tickling him
-Husk poked his side, and Angle reacted horribly.
-So, Husk being Husk, decided to try it out more, and he literally pinned Angle down, all three sets of his arms, ignoring his pleads or punches.
-Husk only stopped within minutes of him tickling him, because Angle started getting frantic, and Husk could see the fear inside of his eyes.
-"Angle...? I'm-I'm sorry, Angle, I didn't know tickling affected you that much..."
-"Just... *sigh* just leave me alone for a bit..." Angle literally curled into a ball, and isolated himself for the rest of the night.
-When Husk overheard Charlie talking to Vaggie about planning on tickling Angle to make him stop sulking, he stepped in and stopped it.
-"Don't tickle him Charlie."
-"Why not? Tickling is so fun!!! Plus, he seems so sad, my mom and dad, sometimes, would tickle me to make me cheer up, and I loved that!"
-"I swear, on every inch of my body, you fucking touch him you're dead!" Husk got a lil too close to comftort, so Vaggie stepped in to desecalate this situation.
-"You better back the fuck up, Husk, I mean it!"
-"Sorry, sorry, I got a lil carried away, but the first and last time I attempted to tickle him, he seemed really freaked out, I think it's what Valentino put him through, but he doesn't want to talk about it, so I didn't push him to."
-"Oh dear, I'm so sorry, I didn't know."
-"I mean, how could you? That spider never tells people what's going on, so now you do know. So please, just respect his boundaries."
-And that was the end of that convo
-When Valentino did that, it was like some, if not most videos, it started off as one, until he got multiple likes, follows, and comments about how hot Angle's raspy laugh is, and how hot he is at begging. So Valentino continued.
-There were alot of times when Angle humilitaed himself, bc he pissed on himself multiple times, not all, but most, bc Val gets too carried away.
-He actually passed out once too, then it continued so on so forth.
-Val's minions would target his arm pits, like all of them, and his neck, bc that's his worst spot. it makes him act out, like bad.
-He's the second most ticklish
-I'm so sorry how much I put this in detail.
Ler:
-He doesn't tickle anyone either, bc of the trauma he was put through, and he doesn't want to relive that, even tho he's not the one being tickled.
-But if u ask him to tickle u, he'll prolly consider it, but if u show any signs of displeasure, or u ask him to stop, he will.
-Even if u tell him ahead of time that if u tell him to stop, don't actually do it bc it's ur reflex, he'll still do it
-Wether u don't mean it or u do.
-He hates it when ppl begs him to stop and he does, but then they beg him to keep going, he won't
-It'll make him hella uncomftorable.
-So, don't be piss that he won't continue if u ask him to, one word can make it all stop, that's j his wishes.
Lucifer:
Tumblr media
Ler:
-massive ler.
-He'll tickle people all the time.
-Since he's a fallen angle, I headcanon, he always gets into tickle fights with Adam, not bc he wants to, or even starts it, he does it to finish it, but Adam always wins.
-He tickled his daughter, Charlie when she was younger, for the few times he's alowed to see her, so he can see her smile, or just so he can be playful with her.
-Idt him and his wife r on good terms, but he usually, if not rarely, tries to tickle her, but she's not ticklish, so he doesn't attempt it no more.
-If you tell him to stop, he would, but only if he's not tickling you to relieve stress.
-Yes. he does that.
-Instead of yelling, he'll get in massive ler moods, and tickle the shit out of the first living thing he sees, which isn't all the time, bc he's been isolating himself.
-He doesn't tease anyone bc it makes him flustered toooo, I think that's so cute tho!!
-He gets flustered over his own teasing!!!
Lee:
-He's the biggest fucking lee ever!!
-And he hates how ticklish he is
-He's the most ticklish person ever if not, in both Haeven and hell!!! And it's so embarassing bc he's the king of Hell, so what would people think if they can overturn the king with a few pokes and squeezes to his tummy?
-Charlie tickles him sometimes too, but since she was little, it didn't take much for Lucifer to overpower her and get her back.
-His worst spot is his navel, and belly button.
-And if you hear his laugh, u wouldn't want to stop any time soon, it's so bubbly and cute!!!
-He coughs and hiccups alot too, so that's also really cute!!!
-He's a short king, so it doesn't take much for someone to win the tickle fight between him, especially since he's the most ticklish demon!!!

A lot of my thoughts about the second episode can be summed up in one phrase:
Why the hell wasn't that the first episode???
But I'll try to go a bit more in depth than that.
I'm sure we've had episodes with more action but this was a dynamic episode. Yeah, Charlie and Rex spent a lot of time being just the two of them again, yadda yadda. I can't keep talking about that after every single episode. In fact, since it's kinda the premise of the show, they could very well turn and call me stupid for assuming it would be centered on the rest of the characters as well. But I should also judge what was in the episode, not only what was missing.
Charlie character backstory in season 6? Okay, I'll take it. Daddy issues isn't something revolutionary (then again, you can't do anything remotely revolutionary in a cop show, much less a cop show that's comes from a previous show) but it's something. It's a character moment. Hopefully, it wasn't just that and we'll see Charlie's father.
The action scenes were nicely shot and very dynamically and made you feel like you were in the middle of the action. Yeah, they used a few too many dutch angles at times (they're not supposed to be used so liberally) but I can forgive that.
I don't have much of an issue with the plot as plot. The script was funny at times, some scenes were heartwarming, it was all pro-military bullshit of course, but it's a cop show and Charlie is a navy brat. I've seen 1,500 episodes of NCIS, I can cope. Even when the military-ish music started playing when Charlie was talking to the female perp (forgot her name and also don't have a better name for the genre of music). Props for them hinting that most vets fall through the cracks after they serve while they need help (this episode also aired 2-3 days after World Mental Health Day, and they did discuss a bit, or well, slightly brushed, the fact that soldiers come back after combat, often traumatized, to a world vastly different than how the military works, and they have trouble adjusting to the real world).
Sarah needing time off to buff up a resume that she makes clear she doesn't need? Do not want. Unless it's setting up some future storyline but it better not be her breakup with Charlie. I'll be honest, I'm on the fence about the lack of Charah. The way this show is being written, it could very well be nothing, so I'm not getting that worked up about it. But as a shipper I'd obviously have liked to have seen scenes with them by now. Especially considering how S5 started. I consider seasons 4 and 5 pretty much equal in quality, for different reasons (season 5 being a constant flat tone in terms of angst and stakes only to show "signs of life" in the end got some negative points for me), but season 6 is not starting off great for a variety of reasons which I will not list here, and I also reserve the right to watch a few more episodes to understand what the heck the new showrunner is doing (Names! I want names! I want to know who I'll be cursing this season. Why don't all shows just put a showrunner credit for fuck's sake?)
Things like getting a bunch of motorbikes, only to make a half assed scene, which wasn't bad but didn't offer much either, in which you also can't make your protagonist do the chase and subsequent stunts (unless you hate him), I don't understand. And let's not forget your other protagonist is a dog. And said dog in another scene is indicating that Charlie needs to be getting back on his own bike? Why would Rex care about that? Is he going to ride with Charlie?
Anyway, while this episode wasn't spectacular, it was on par with a lot of typical crime show episodes. Which is where I put the quality of the Hudson and Rex show overall. Yes, I do like the show and I do pay more attention to it than any other crime show I currently watch (never mind the strikes, I'm talking the last two years at least), but that doesn't mean I consider it revolutionary television. An actual 7/10 episode would be considered a good day for this show, in my opinion. If anyone feels differently, I'd love to talk about it with people who have watched at least a few more crime shows. Because if you don't have something else to compare it to, then you can't compare it to anything.

Okay give us the TC movie ranking, and know Punct and I will be taking notes
Also have you seen Collateral yet bc yooooooooooooooooo
I have not I need to see it!!!! I might make another ranking once I’ve seen more of his films cause the list isn’t That long rn. There are so many of his movies on my to-watch list
So far of his movies I have seen: all the MI films, Edge of Tomorrow, The Firm, Risky Business, Oblivion, Jerry Maguire, Top Gun, and Top Gun Maverick. For those films, my ranking is below (top to bottom):
1. Mission: Impossible (specifically 1,5,6,7 but I’m partial to 2 and he does great acting in 3 and 4 so I’m just gonna put the whole franchise at the top for simplicity’s sake. This is my least objective ranking cause I love this fucking franchise) I just think MI is neat. I think TC has had a chance to do something really unusual with Ethan Hunt and I really fucking love it. The movies are excellent action films but they also just consistently feel personal and well crafted and thoughtful. Love this franchise so fucking much
2. Risky Business—honestly I can’t say enough good things about this movie. It’s emotionally complex and emotionally unusual and hurts to watch in a cathartic way that sticks with you. This might be some of TC’s best acting although there’s also just a very particular awkwardness and vulnerability to the role that he doesn’t usually get to portray in his later films. I don’t want to be the guy that says his best acting was when he was young, and I don’t think that’s true, but his acting was definitely fucking spectacular when he was young
3. Top Gun: Maverick. TC is beyond excellent in this movie. He holds up most of the main emotional threads (gonna say something blasphemous to TGM fans here but when I watched it I felt like the only actor who truly kept pace with him was Val Kilmer in their one scene together.) it’s a testament to him that the movie is as strong as it is. And it is really strong!!
4. Edge of Tomorrow—this is a personal thing for me I could see the Firm being ranked over EOT but I like EOT better. Bottom line for me if I had to choose one of them to watch I would choose EOT every time. TC is so great and expressive and funny in it and Emily Blunt is just epic as Rita and even though I have some issues with it they’re pretty nitpicky. I like that it’s a very genre-standard movie that has its own ideas, and there are some really interesting moments where the movie Does Something that’s surprising and emotional and doesn’t just follow the formula. But it’s also just entertaining. I feel like it’s more than the sum of its parts and I loved it more than I expected to. It’s the kind of movie that I can’t help engaging with when I watch, which wasn’t the case with the Firm, I felt like I had to “buy in”
5. Top Gun—yes I know I just said firm could be ranked above EOT. I also feel like it could be ranked above Top Gun cause I do think Firm is a more well done film. I expected to like Top Gun more than I did…but the things I did like about it hit me hard and left an impression. What I really liked about it was literally just Mav and Goose. Goose is the fucking center of the movie and Mav works as a character because of his relationship with Goose. The scenes with them got to me hard, shout-out to “you’re the only family I’ve got,” gotta be one of my favorite crying wailing moments. This might be controversial but I didn’t like Charlie and that weakened the film for me
6. The Firm—pros of this movie, Jeanne Tripplehorn. She’s stunning in it. I love TC and he does good work here but he never gets to her level. Cons, the suspense didn’t totally hit (although I know people who thought it totally did so that might be me) and the emotional beats didn’t really impact me they just landed and I thought oh that’s interesting. I never went rabid which for me is a necessity to recommend a movie highly, although it’s a personal thing and isn’t based on movie quality
7. Oblivion—I am actively angry at this movie because it has so much potential and it does not work. I would 10/10 watch it again to yell at the screen and go apeshit over the scenes that hit and be filled with disappointment and rage and shut my laptop feeling deeply unsatisfied and highly emotionally affected. It’s a solid watch, the aesthetic sense is amazing (I would give it all up for TC in white leather) and it’s very entertaining. What I loved about it was that it had these striking and unexpected emotional beats. And then just when I felt invested it would shapeshift into a standard schlocky sci fi action film. To the point of undermining and sacrificing all the emotion it already set up. And in the end you come out of it having seen something that feels emotional and tense and thoughtful and meaningful—like 50% of the time—but completely falls apart thematically when faced with a stiff breeze. There are parts of this movie that literally haunt me. And there are parts of this movie that are just bog-standard, amateurish. And I’m so mad about it. This is the kind of movie that makes you plot out The Secret Good Version in your head at 2 am (guess what I was doing at 2 am last night)
8. Jerry Maguire—I HATE putting this movie here!! Because I know (/know of) two people whose lives were directly impacted by seeing this movie, one of whom became the concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic after seeing this movie, and I watched it years ago and it was my first experience with TC and I wanted to like it so badly. And I just didn’t. It did not work for me. I would really like to see it again to see if it works better now that I’m. Was I even a legal adult back then? God knows. Passage of time is a mindfuck. Anyway I don’t actually believe this is the worst of these movies I just didn’t connect with it for some reason and I might see it again in case that changes on rewatch

𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐔𝐍.
knowing  your  partner  well  can  potentially  make  writing  a  lot  easier,   repost, don’t reblog !!
TAGGED BY: @trashedrps & @amourpoetique
TAGGING: I am so late to this so won’t tag anyone specifically, but seriously if you’re seeing this feel free to do it - I love getting to learn more about everyone!
▻  BASICS.
name: Heather
pronouns: she/her
preference of communication: The messenger on Tumblr works best.  I have a discord but never really got into it.
single / taken: single mom (14 year old daughter ouch that makes me sound damn old)
▻    THREE FACTS.
𝙞. I was a child of the 90′s, born in ‘86 (if you do the math it puts me at 35 ugh), so of course I feel the 90′s was the absolute BEST decade.  I love the music, cartoons, movies, and just about everything (except some of the fashion) so it definitely is a huge inspiration to me / keeps me happy.  I’m the behavior interventionist (fun job title) who has 90′s cartoon stickers all over her binder she has to carry while collecting data.  It’s fun, the nostalgia makes me happy, and it makes the kids happy too when they catch a reference.  It’s fun and I enjoy letting that kid side of me out.
𝙞𝙞.  I LOVE attending concerts!  I usually don’t care the genre (country is my least favorite though i’ve still seen plenty of country musicians live), but there’s just something about being live with a group of people all rocking out to the same band on stage.  A few of my favorites i’ve been to are Blink 182 (i’ve been to two of theirs - the best was when Tom was still in the band), The Offspring, Simple Plan, Vanilla Ice (I actually hugged him and was front row for that concert hahah just a few years ago), Bush, MuteMath, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Britney Spears (my first concert when I was a pre-teen), and honestly the list can go on for miles.  I am attending a concert later this summer in Jersey (Sum 41) and it’s going to be my first one since covid struck so i’m beyond excited!
𝙞𝙞𝙞. Before I started writing indie rp characters I enjoyed writing in groups, but only if I moderated them.  I maybe applied and was accepted into 3-4 that weren’t of my own creation, and I hated how cliquey they were so I ended leaving them soon after joining.  At least when I was an admin I was able to handle cliquey members, and I did just that - I ruled with an “iron fist” and the groups were the absolute best!  I never wanted any member who came into my group to feel like they were left out, and kept open lines of communication with everyone.  I still absolutely LOVE talking to people, so please hit me up ever to chat / plot / whatever.
▻    EXPERIENCE.
I started way back on proboards in a Degrassi : the next generation group (I played Spinner).  It was absolutely ridiculous, my replies were maybe a sentence long, but at the same time I fell in love with writing all thanks to that.  I moved on to create a few groups of my own on proboards, shifted to invisionfree when that became a thing, and then jcink hit the scene and I bounced on over to there.  I have been on Tumblr for a handful of years now, though I have only recently done indie writing for the last (maybe) two?  I usually stuck to groups, and if anyone remembers @islandoferos or @hausofperses those were my brain children!  I built them from the ground up and both were VERY successful on here (running years at length which was insane).  I absolutely loved those groups but after they died the first time anytime I tried to reopen just wasn’t the same, and eventually the group scene wasn’t for me so I switched to indie and fell absolutely in love with the freedom!
▻    SUB-GENRES.
I absolutely love any / all horror plots, so if anyone loves that sub-genre come at me and let’s stir some shit up.  I played @thegrillmatt for years (Matt Donovan - TVD), but have also played a few of the other characters from that series as well.  I absolutely loved Once Upon A Time and wrote under @theregalqueen and @thehookedpirate (I also wrote as Tinkerbell but that account is long gone).  I’ve done Supernatural and love it, vampires i’m pretty good with, and basically am willing to at least TRY anything once (unless I don’t know the fandom in which case I would hate to butcher it).
▻    PLOTS vs. MEMES
I like both honestly!  Sometimes it’s fun to hash out plots, but other times it’s awesome getting to just throw up a meme and see where it takes you.  The only problem I have is when my plots sometimes go sideways - my writing partner and I will be on the same page, absolutely love what we come up with, but then afterwards we’re writing and our characters take over and just have at it themselves (which we end up loving the direction they take themselves even more than the one we tried to provide so it works out).  So yeah, let’s plot shit up, but don’t be mad if things go sideways (I swear it’s more fun that way).
▻    LONG OR SHORT REPLIES.
I prefer replies with depth, but that doesn’t always require them to be super lengthy.  I do prefer at least a paragraph to work with, but if you’re not up to writing that I do try my best to match you (sometimes I lose muse quicker for shorter threads though just to give you a heads up).  I personally ramble and have fun doing it, so as long as you don’t mind long replies then I think we’d be a good match.  Sometimes I end up even drawing more out of people in terms of their responses (which is awesome), and then sometimes I find muns who force me to write better to keep up with their amazing abilities.  Quality not quantity is what I usually say!
▻    BEST TIME TO WRITE
Mornings right when I wake up most definitely.  Sometimes throughout the day, but if i’m working there’s only a small chance i’ll be up to writing after I get home.  My muse, and brain in general, is much better off in the morning!

Supernatural Cast Episode Count
Like I said in the characters’ rank, since some actors played 2 characters and some characters were played by 2 (or more) actors, the rank changes a little between the 2 versions...So here’s the post for cast members appearances! Or to be precise, the Top 10 Actors with Highest Episode Count in the entire series run:
Tumblr media
In percentage:
Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles (100%)
Misha Collins (43,73%)
Jim Beaver, Mark Sheppard (21,10%)
Alexander Calvert (11,93%)
Mark Pellegrino (11,62%)
Samantha Smith (11,01%)
Ruth Connell (10,09%)
David Haydn-Jones (6,12%)
Rob Benedict, Osric Chau (5,81%)
Kim Rhodes (5,50%)
A few notes + Top 15 under the cut!
See the companion post here: [x]
I really tried to make the count accurate by using different sources to get the numbers right, so I hope I didn’t miss anything.
Character Check:
Sam and Dean Winchester
Castiel (+ 3xLucifer and 1xLeviathans) (in other instances Misha played Cass for at least part of the episode, so that’s already counted in)
Bobby Singer (+ 10xA.W. Bobby S.), Crowley
Jack Kline (+ 3xBelphegor)
Lucifer (+ 7xNick)
Mary Winchester (+ 1xEve)
Rowena MacLeod
Arthur Ketch
Chuck Shurley, Kevin Tran (+ 2xA.W. Kevin T.)
Jody Mills
Like in the characters’ tally, I cut off stuff like minimal voice appearances (like voicemail greetings), so that leaves a few episodes out of the count (2 for Misha, 1 for Kim and 2 for Pellegrino).
Misha, Jim, Alex, Pellegrino, Smith, Osric, Felicia and Rachel got a boost over their primary characters because of the other characters they played - specified here in parenthesis
However Pellegrino, Smith, JDM, Genevieve, Emily and Rachel end up lower than their characters since they shared them with other actors (those other actors not reaching top 15)
So! Here’s the Top 15 sans J2M for better visualization:
Tumblr media
   11. Curtis Armstrong, Lisa Berry (4,59%)    12. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Genevieve Padalecki (née Cortese), Emily Swallow (3,67%)    13. Richard Speight Jr., Cindy Sampson, Felicia Day (3,36%)    14. Rachel Miner, Ty Olsson (3,06%)    15. Samantha Ferris, Amanda Tapping, Erica Carroll, Keith Szarabajka (2,75%)
This time I did count JDM’s cameo in season 3 for the fake John phone call (but not the voicemail in season 1)
Ty Olsson and Erica Carroll played minor one-off characters before being cast as recurring later on, which gave them 1 and 2 extra episodes respectively.

Emma Haunts the Necklace- The Fic <3
Starts more post/concepty and becomes a fic bc I did not plan on this it was stream of consciousness!  I have not seen all of the later seasons and it was hard to keep track of what plot points to mention even of all the seasons I have seen!
AO3
Emma dies and Dean keeps her necklace to have something to remember her by, partly out of grief for what could have been partly as an act of emotional self flagellation. He wears it under his shirt, a secret, just like any thoughts he has about his dead daughter.
Emma is a ghost because she didn’t do enough to be a monster and earn her place in purgatory but she isn’t human enough for heaven and she’s anchored to the necklace.
She follows Dean around silently, quickly learning enough about ghosts to know if she reveals herself too soon or ever really then Dean is going to burn the necklace.
During season seven Dean is haunted by two ghosts, Bobby, who is actively reaching out for him, and Emma, who is a silent observer. I think Emma hides from Bobby, he’s a hunter and she doesn’t want him to tell Dean about her, OR Bobby sees her before she knows ghosts can see other ghosts and they talk and he pities her but agrees to not let Dean know
Dean is wearing the necklace when he goes to purgatory. Emma is still a ghost here but it’s different, and she’s been watching this man for months now, he’s her world now. She keeps some of the monsters away, she makes him wake up when there are threats at night, she watches him befriend a monster and burns with pain at the knowledge that maybe she could have had that. Maybe she didn’t need to kill him, maybe he would have loved her not just as a dead hypothetical but as her.
Dean comes out of purgatory with an extra extra passenger. She watches with a sense of smugness as he rages at Sam, she pretends he’s also mad over her. She doesn’t like Sam’s attitude towards Benny either. She gets to see her great grandfather and she sees him die. She talks to his ghost, he calls her granddaughter (forgetting the great) even after learning she’s an amazon, before he gets reaped.
There’s an empty room in the bunker she pretends is hers. She moves objects in there, never quite decorating, but practicing telekinesis where Dean won’t see it and making up a fantasy of a life she could have had. She still never minds being tethered to Dean, especially now as he doesn’t sleep around and spends less time in bars where she’s left uncomfortably watching. She likes going to the grocery store, she likes watching him cook, maybe a few times she’s kept a pot from boiling over or a bag from falling. She’s learning to live from watching Dean, he doesn’t know it, but he’s teaching her life skills. She doesn’t know the names for the dishes he teaches her to make or the parts of cars or guns but she etches the motions he makes into her mind. She likes Charlie, she wishes she could meet her, and she likes larping. She imagines herself as an Amazon warrior of antiquity, armored in bronze.
She tried to wake Dean and Charlie out of their djinn dream but nothing worked, she tried to fight the djinn to no avail either. When Dean and Charlie hugged she wished she could be in their embrace too.
She’s glad it’s Bobby’s ghost they use for the trial, she’s so glad she never revealed herself.
Sam is slowly growing on her, she doesn’t love him but he means enough to Dean that she would try to stop him from dying.
She knows about Gadreel. She hides harder now, afraid too of the new angel in the bunker. Castiel she likes, Castiel she watched in purgatory and she watched beat her father bloody in the crypt and she understood brain washing and the control of authorities. She almost reveals herself and her knowledge of Gadreel when Dean kicks Cas out of the bunker, but her hesitation lasts too long.
She’s tethered to Dean so she isn’t there when Kevin dies. Kevin had been another one she enjoyed observing, she envied him his mother in so many ways, Linda had been everything Lydia hadn’t been. When Kevin dies he’s haunting the bunker too. It’s almost like having a friend. He pities her, but she’ll take anything, he’s sort of her age in some ways and she teaches him how to be a ghost.
Crowley almost gives her away. He knows she’s there, but he saves her presence as a bargaining chip against Dean, a surprise tidbit to bring up later.
The father of murder can see her too. Cain keeps his eyes on her father most of the time, but the spark in his eyes and smirk when he sees her and her bloody pink shirt cut straight through her.
Her father dies. She wants to run to him, to fling her arms around him and greet him with her bloody lips and stained shirt and tell him she forgives him and she loves him and she’s sorry he’s dead but can she at least spend some of eternity with him and she wants to teach him to be a ghost and she wants to tell him so many things she’s noticed. But Crowley does something that locks her voice and powers and keeps her from the room.
Demon dean leaves the bunker with Emma’s necklace ripped off and dropped beside a bedstead.
Sam picks up the necklace. Emma hates him touching it but it’s all she can hope that he doesn’t destroy it. She doesn’t know if he recognizes it, but he doesn’t throw it away, and brings it out to show Castiel as evidence for Dean’s absence. Castiel names it as Amazon gold, recognizes it as Dean’s, but does not know it’s origin. Emma has to hear her story from her murderer’s lips. She almost shows herself, but she’s afraid Sam will cast the necklace into a fire. If they could do that to Bobby, they’ll do it to her. But she doesn’t feel like a vengeful uncontrolled spirit, perhaps it’s the Amazon magic, but she feels calmer than she ever was during her days of life.
Her necklace stays in the bunker, she watches demon Dean from a distance at first, she tries to comfort him strapped to the chair but he calls her a hallucination and lets something between a sob and a laugh out before turning away. She tries, she wipes his brow, she begs him to become human again or to die, she tries to keep the devil’s trap intact. Still she is called a hallucination. It’s almost nice to be important enough that he’d hallucinate her.
When Dean, normal human dean, is back, he fixes the necklace with pliers and holds it staring at it in his hands. He’s alone in his room. Emma gently puts her hands over his where they are clasped around her anchor to him. She doesn’t know if he can feel her. Her name comes from his mouth in a breathy whisper, wet and rough, a word unused to being spoken. He bends over himself, weeping with the necklace pressed to his mouth. Emma weeps as well. He would not weep if he did not love her, but he is a hunter and she has to chose between this silent spectatorship where she can pretend she is living in rooms beside him, or the knowledge that if he knew she was haunting him, he would burn the necklace to send her on.
She doesn’t know if there’s another afterlife for failed amazons, and from what she understands of Heaven, hers would be something pathetic like the day she met Dean before she died, or an eternity as a ghost watching him weep.
She hates watching Dean with Amara those few days. She hates the burning wretched envy risking corrupting her as he holds a baby girl that isn’t her. She hates that Amara loves Dean. And she hates even more that Amara brings back Mary instead of her.
She never realized that she wanted to be brought back and resurrected so badly and that it was even an option until she watches Dean reunite with Mary.
Dean mentions her to Mary- almost - he says he had a kid, and the cut off gesture to the necklace means her. Emma stopped minding that Dean never spoke about her. She didn’t want him to talk about her with Sam, and she quickly realized he didn’t talk about his grief with anyone. But he did wear her necklace, and sometimes he took it out from under his shirt and rubbed his thumb over the metal and she would pretend it was his thumb stroking the back of her hand. Dean didn’t talk about her and she didn’t need him to. But now he had, and with his mother. And he implied he had thought about what he would want for her, that he wouldn’t want his life of violence and moving for her.
Emma likes Mary as a warrior woman, but can’t help but understand Dean’s pain when she leaves. She understands being the surprise child older than a parent wants too much.
She tried to help Dean as she always has, but the British Men of Letters terrify her. She knows they would either keep her to study or destroy her and she can’t trust anyone to keep her secret from their spying.
Later it seems the world collapses again. Cas dies. Angels don’t have ghosts, she can never meet him. And Kelly has eyes only for her son until she is reaped. Emma wishes she could comfort Dean or that she could truly leave him to his grief. She turns away as he ties Castiel’s body with yellow curtains. She stands beside him watching the pyre.
She doesn’t understand Dean’s attitude towards Jack. She’s watched jealously how Dean interacts with Krissy, with Claire, with the orphan boys at the home, and she has her fantasy of how Dean would have treated her had she lived. The jealous part of her doesn’t want Dean to like Jack, but most of her wants Dean to go back to acting like how she expected him to, she wants the man she could pretend was being her father. And she watches Jack enough to be afraid of their similarities. To see herself in him. And if Dean hates him, would he have hated her. Does he only wear her necklace because she’s dead.
She watches silently when Dean finally breaks, confronted, and tells Sam that he sees her in Jack. She hears how he loves her. She watches Sam realize the enormity of his crime and apologize. She accepts the apology, even if it wasn’t meant for her ears. Dean doesn’t see her, but she sits beside him on the opposite side of Sam on that floor.
Something has changed.
Sometimes, it seems like Dean is glimpsing her out of the corner of his eye. He stares at the steamy bathroom mirror while he’s shaving, right at the red smear on the pink of her shirt. He nicks himself, swears, and swipes a hand through the steam, through her image. He does double takes in the rear view mirror, glancing twice at the backseat where she sits, pretending she’s part of his road trips.
Jack brings back Castiel. Jack has powers beyond what Emma could have imagined. And Jack is both nice and not fully indoctrinated into hunting ways. Emma also likes Jack, she understands so much about him, and she likes the shows he watches, she likes the way he’s nice, and in her elaborate fantasy of what if she was alive, she decides he’s her brother.
It’s hard to find a time when Jack is alone but near enough to Dean and the anchoring necklace that she can talk to him, but it happens.
Emma focuses everything she has into appearing, a heavy grounding feeling she hasn’t felt since Dean was a chained demon. The words catch in her throat, unpracticed at speaking, but she blurts out to Jack that she’s his sister, the words spilling fast, that she’s Dean’s dead daughter, she doesn’t tell him that Sam killed her, she’s seen Sam with him, their closeness she can’t decide if she envies or not. She tells him she’s an Amazon, how she’s dead but anchored, how she doesn’t have a heaven or purgatory or hell, how she wants to come back. She tells him that she likes his shows and she tells him she loves Dean and Castiel and she finds things she likes about Sam. He doesn’t look at her with pity. He looks at her with a bright spark to his eyes.
But he doesn’t resurrect her. At least not right away. Apparently he’s been too recently warned off from the idea of asking for forgiveness rather than permission. He thinks she should reveal herself to Dean first, before they decide. Emma hates the idea, she spent all of these years afraid of Dean destroying her anchor, and now she’s afraid of his rejection, what if he resents her watching him all the time, what if he blames her for not doing more. What if he wants her gone instead of brought back.
The Amazons,in their scant days of raising her, taught her to be brave.
Jack asks the family to stay after dinner.
Emma takes a deep breath, more for the instinctive motion than for a need for air, and materializes.
There’s a beat of silence and then a mess of noises. Dean drops a mug, Sam’s chair skids, everyone one is talking at once.
Emma can’t find words to say to Dean, she wants to stare at him as she always does, but she can’t bear to see rejection on his face. She waits and Jack opens his mouth to introduce her but then her name comes from Dean’s lips. It’s like that dark night where they wept in his bedroom again. She has called him many variants of father in her mind in several languages, but it is the most childish “daddy” that slips out.
No one else in the room matters, he looks at her, meeting her eyes instead of the gorey wound, and she gets eye contact without having to pretend she is what’s in his sight line.
He doesn’t ask if she’s a ghost or if she’s dead or any of the silly civilian questions. He only manages “how” before fumbling for the necklace, and she nods confirmation. She wonders if he’s planning on burning it.
He asks how long and suddenly words spill forth, she tells him she’s been here the whole time, watching, she says she sorry about Bobby and Kevin and Charlie and Kelly and Cas and Benny she tells him the ones she helped with being a ghost, she tells him about watching the others move on, she says she’s sorry she couldn’t do more when he was a demon and something in his expression breaks, she says she’s sorry she never showed herself.
He holds up a hand, stopping her before she apologizes again, and says he remembers her when he was a demon, that he had thought she was a hallucination, she nods and cries anew.
She wants to tell him that she’s watched him and loves him and even if it’s embarrassing she wants to say she’s pretended to be alive with him, and she wants most of all to ask if he loves her, to hear it said to her face.
Instead he asks weakly why she’s here now.
She says she wanted to come clean about haunting him, says she’s thought about it for years and was scared he would burn the necklace, says she’s learned about ghosts from him and she’s never felt vengeful, she doesn’t feel corrupted, and maybe it’s because she’s a monster. His face twitches at that word.
Jack interrupts, changing the air in the room and suddenly both she and Dean remember their audience. Sam’s eyes are wet and he looks something close to afraid. Emma hopes the look on Castiel’s face is softness for her too and not just Jack.
Jack offers to bring her back, tells Dean that they didn’t want to do it behind his back. Emma turns invisible again out of the sick swoosh of anxiety that overwhelms her. She barely hears through her ringing ears that Dean desperately agrees and says yes, fumbling to take the necklace off and pass it to Jack.
She’s going to have to wait a few days. Jack is going to bring her back where her body is, and that’s more than 24 hours of driving away, and Dean wants to be there.
It’s a weird car ride, they know she’s there, and she sits between Castiel and Jack in the back of the Impala. They had her pick a set of Jack’s clothes to replace her bloody shirt, they have food and water for her. Emma doesn’t have a name for the emotions she’s feeling and they’re almost overwhelming.
They don’t have to dig her up to bring her back, Jack’s powers allow for that at least, and Emma is glad, she’s watched Dean dig up enough graves to imagine what she’ll look like.
Then Jack’s eyes glow bright gold.
It’s like what she imagines being born feels like. Overwhelming and dark and bright and both blissful and painful. And then she is gasping with real lungs and the sunlight is bright in her eyes and she can feel the textures of her clothing and the grass.
And then arms and hands are on her, Dean is pulling her to her feet and into his embrace in one motion.
She’s never been hugged by him, and it’s better than her jealous imaginings when he held others. She never wants to let go, she feels safe and warm and loved and his hand is on her hair and she can smell him and feel his heartbeat.
He finally lets go and steps back to look at her, keeping a hand on her shoulder and cupping her cheek with the other. There are streaks of tears matching her own on his face. His hands leave only to be replaced by Jack.
Jack’s hug is different but enthusiastic, there are no tears, he is beaming, part proud, part delighted, she can’t help but smile back. He calls her sister and she accepts him as brother.
Castiel does not embrace her, but his greeting his warm and his eyes match his smile. He clasps her hand between his and Emma’s heart swells.
She knows Sam doesn’t know how to look at her or how to talk to her. She doesn’t know what she wants from him either. She knows hes sorry, she’s heard it from his own lips, not to her, but to the only other person to whom it would matter. She smiles hesitantly at him, instead of glaring, and waves.
Then she slips her hand back into Dean’s and lets him pull her into another hug. She feels light and giddy and afraid this is all a dream. If she died and this is heaven then she would accept that too.
But it’s real, she changes out of her bloody shirt and into a blue one of Jack’s, she drinks water for the first time in years and eats fruit snacks from a packet pulled from Castiel’s trench-coat pocket, and a cereal bar.
A few hours later they stop at a nicer diner than Emma usually sees them eat at, and Dean tells the hostess it’s his daughter’s birthday and Emma gets to order foods she’s been curiously watching people eat for years off the menu. The restaurant gives her cake.
Emma’s cheeks hurt from smiling, and Dean’s eyes have not lost their cheerful crinkle and Jack is beaming and even Sam and Castiel look endlessly pleased.
Later there will be harder talks, about the things she’s witnessed, later she’ll talk about haunting their steps, about the years of questions built up, later she’ll realize she doesn’t remember how to sleep and Dean will sit and try to stroke her hair and talk softly and it’s nice but not enough. Later it will be Castiel who explains how to become human, how to adjust to having a body, how to sleep and how to tell if you like a food or not. Later she will argue with Dean about her usefulness on hunts and he will tell her how scared he is of her dying again. Later Mary will come back and die. Later Jack will die and a demon will wear his corpse and she will hate and fear it, later God will tell her she is an interloper in his story.
But for now Emma has a family and a piece of cake and a table of smiles.

So for the most part, I outright reject the finale. But I do think, in light of the whole "Jimmy was supposed to be in the bar, and Dean was disappointed by that because his perfect heaven would have Cas in it" just makes me all the more convinced that the final episode was some kind of djinn dream. Like.... There's no other explanation in my opinion. If Dean's perfect heaven was supposed to have Cas, and he tragically gets faked out by Jimmy (????? Why tf would jimmy be there anyway), it just proves that it's not ACTUALLY heaven. That, along with he El Sol beer he's drinking is all the evidence I need. I think after 15x19, Dean and Sam got whammied by some monster, and are stuck in a hallucination, and that's what we're seeing. (My headcanon is that it's actually The Empty doing it, because it knows if it doesn't keep Dean and Sam occupied and spinning in circles, they'll invade the Empty to save Cas. So its trying to prevent that) :)
Hello, anon friendo! I am gonna start by offering the socially distanced version of a high five, because yeah... There is just so much to unpack here, and you provided such a succinct and all-encompassing series of statements to start from. Thank you!
*flings open array of questionable suitcases*
First off, Congrats on having rejected the finale. I know a lot of folks are still struggling with that one, for many reasons. But you have hit upon so many of the points I’ve been trying to make about the finale since it aired. I’d just like to start with some of the assumptions I’ve heard from folks about the finale that make it impossible for me to consider it fully honestly canon. Because so much about it just makes no goshdang sense... like... not at all...
One of the biggest issues I have surrounding the reception of the finale in parts of fandom is that it portrayed a “happy ending.” The show itself spent the entire final season telling us that a gravestone marked Winchester was not and never would be a happy ending (thank you Becky Rosen-- words I never thought I’d say, but honestly and most sincerely meant). Let’s break this down a bit.
Starting from the assumption that “heaven was fixed” so that characters could have true free will there, making it satisfying in any way that Dean died so young and never got to truly experience happiness during life, I would like anyone who has adopted this attitude to then explain Kansas the band. I mean... explain that in any satisfactory canon-compliant way. (hint: you can’t. it makes zero sense in canon, if heaven is truly reformed and “happy” with everyone in possession of free will.)
Which brings me to Misha’s comments about Jimmy being in the Roadhouse. Why, if heaven were truly fixed, would Jimmy ever in a bazillion years attend a party for Dean Winchester? If Heaven were truly a “happy” ending for Dean, why introduce this element of eternal tragedy and heartbreak to his heaven experience? Why taunt him with the eternal loss of Cas-- even if you don’t think he reciprocated Cas’s romantic feelings, he was canonically the best friend Dean ever had, and being forced to exist forever in a place where he had everyone else he ever cared for except for Cas? Is frankly horrific.
How the actual fuck is that a happy ending, in any sense of the word?
How is this the sort of heaven that Dean would’ve made for himself before it was “fixed?” At least in the memorex heaven, he could’ve lived in oblivious peace with Cas, even if it was always just his own memories and not ~actually Cas~. I honestly think that would’ve been happier than the abject tragedy of what we did get, and what we would’ve gotten had the original script played out.
All of this kind of makes me wonder if they ever even actually defeated Chuck. Like... it feels more like Dean got pulled into the Empty at that moment with Cas and Billie, and everything else after that point was the Empty’s endless experience of sorrow and despair we knew it subject its charges to. So that’s one potential for what could’ve actually happened. I mean, everything about the finale was sorrow and despair, you know? Dean didn’t even get to enjoy his pie at a pie festival because Sam smashed in in his face. How is any of it happy, in any way?
Because if that was actually heaven, there wasn’t actually any free will (because why tf would Kansas the band have chosen to put on that concert? why tf would Jimmy have been there, just to torment Dean with the taunt of Cas returning to him only to have that hope snatched away again? It’s cruel. It’s, in fact, a source of intense despair).
The djinn theory could also work, and I’ve read some excellent fix-it fic using that as a premise. But that doesn’t really explain what happened to Jack (and Amara, since she was in there with them) after hoovering up Chuck’s power, you know? I think the simplest explanations in canon are that Chuck actually won via the unified power of Light and Dark being transferred into Jack and effectively using him as a vessel. With Sam and Dean convinced they’d won, they effectively stopped resisting Chuck’s story for them, and using Jack’s understanding of humanity and the Winchesters specifically, Chuck finally was able to implement a version of his story that the Winchesters would just waltz into without thinking it was supernaturally influenced at all. Going bigger and bigger with monsters and cosmic troubles hadn’t worked, but going so small Sam and Dean would barely even notice the influence-- even with the incongruous reappearance of a vampire that appeared in their lives once, for like two whole minutes 15 years ago, and an unsolved case from the journal from more than 30 years ago that John had never even linked to vampires at all.
At this point, I need to mention that I’m watching 10.23 as I type this up. An episode in which we confront the Mark, along with Death, and Dean’s despair, where he learns a version of the truth (but by no means the full truth, or even accurate truth in some respects) about Chuck’s Story, Amara/The Darkness, etc. That would unfold more fully over the next five seasons. And what was the case Dean took in this episode? Vampires. LOLOL omg this show is nothing if not horrifically consistent, yes?
So because of this, I went haring off through my own blog looking for a post I made a long time ago about the symbolism of how various monsters are used on this show (because again, consistency). I got sidetracked by other posts in my monsters tag, including this from after 15.09 aired, which feels particularly awfully relevant. This was my reaction to Chuck’s Story he showed Sam in that episode, about what the future would look like should he successfully trap Chuck with a Mark, and which... yeah is basically exactly thematically consistent with what we saw in the finale, right down to a cheesy twist on vampires. Read the whole post right here, but this is the part that reached up and punched me in the face:
this is how Dean personally reacts when he loses Cas. We know how he reacts when he loses anyone else– think about what he did when Charlie died. He went on a murder rampage against the Stynes for killing her. When Mary died he broke some furniture and went full bore toward both resurrecting her and stopping Jack. But without Cas, Dean loses the will to fight. Sam has… always been different. He referenced Jess in 15.04 to remind us of how he was after she died in the pilot episode. Just like John, he picked up the revenge mission and ran with it. But for Dean, Cas is different. Without Cas… Dean gives up.
Because... Dean gave up. Sure, he and Sam weren’t overrun by vampires in the end. Chuck knew they’d never stop fighting the monsters, one way or another. The only way to get Dean to give up is something Chuck hadn’t quite figured out yet... maybe not until after 15.17, after confronting Cas in the hallway of the bunker, after absorbing Amara’s power, knowledge, and perspective on Dean.
Chuck needed Dean to give up, and honestly? Pushing Billie to clear him off the table and send him (and Cas, that pesky angel who never did what he was told) to the Empty would’ve been a direct way to deal with that... pretty much akin to having one sibling locked in a cage forever, yes?
Also, still looking through my monsters tag, I’m reminded of 14.15, and still cannot differentiate the version of Heaven in 15.20 from what was done to the people of that town. This... is not... paradise. This is actively what Dean has been insisting is the OPPOSITE of paradise since like… 4.22… No ending where Dean was a “Stepford bitch in paradise” ever had the possibility of being “happy,” at the core of things, and this “fixed” version of Heaven just doesn’t hold up to any degree of inspection. Something is seriously wrong here. https://mittensmorgul.tumblr.com/post/183465650390/so-can-we-talk-about-this-monster-of-the-week-for
And since I was unable to find the post I wrote who knows how long ago about Monsters and how they’re symbolically used on Supernatural to represent larger themes in the episode, I’ll just attempt to sum up what Vampires have been used for. Revenge. Vampires are always, in some way connected to themes of revenge.
(and hooray, I found at least a post adjacent to the one I’ve spent the last four hours trying to find... https://mittensmorgul.tumblr.com/post/187207052080/i-obviously-did-not-think-this-through, where I mention that shapeshifters are about revealing hidden truths (mostly about Dean since most shapeshifters are connected to Dean), zombies are about grief and the inability to move past it.)
So why... why at the end of their road is the monster that comes after them-- literally FOR REVENGE for something that had never been blamed on Sam or Dean to begin with, from season 1, directly connected to John’s revenge mission and the first time they learned about the Colt AND the first time they learned in canon that Vampires were even real... like... this feels very specifically like some kind of layers-of-meta levels of shade on them, you know? Vampires are for revenge, so what vengeance exactly is being visited upon Sam and Dean in this episode? If not Chuck’s entire story for them itself?
So yeah, 100% agree, something is incredibly rotten in the finale. And I am sick to effing death of people trying to convince us that anything about this was “good” or “happy” or “satisfying” in any way. Or even “how it was always supposed to end” with Dean dead bloody, as if the entire back half of the series hadn’t been suggesting that a true win was the subversion of all of Chuck’s story for them, and Dean finally being able to have his chosen family all alive, happy, and chilling on a beach somewhere watching the sunset. Nothing will ever convince me that the ending portrayed in 15.20 wasn’t exactly how Chuck thought he “won,” rendering it entirely irrelevant to the rest of canon, unless all of canon was ultimately the tragedy we’d been encouraged to believe would be firmly defeated in the end.
Folks, you can’t have it both ways.

Meant to Be (Charlie Weasley x OC)
What happens when Bill brings home a girl and Charlie is completely awestruck by her?
WARNINGS: mentions of alcohol, cursing, nothing besides some adorable Charlie & Bill bonding 🤗
Chapter 17
Charlie
It's been a few weeks since Rhylee and I fought. It didn't make matters better for us but at least she has been coming to work on time and we can function properly as a group. The only time she spoke to me alone was when she told me that the Ministry sent her the date of the trial.
I offered to accompany her but she declined immediately. I didn't press the matter further as I saw I was getting nowhere. She had her good days but the bad days outweighed them. I felt sorry for her and even more, I felt helpless. I didn't know how to help her even though I still wanted to.
I know she needed help. She needed someone to talk to her. This was getting way out of hand and the feeling I got that all of her behavior had a deeper meaning behind it grew stronger. She kept disappearing the second we finished work Merlins knows where and I ran out of places to search for her.
Did I feel like giving up?
No.
But did I have a choice?
I don't even know anymore.
I thought about talking to Bill about it but I couldn't see how he could help me. He would just say that I should tell her how I feel but me being in love with her can't fix whatever she is going through.
I miss her so much. It's the strangest feeling when she is standing a few meters away from me, pretending to be deep in work, clearly preoccupied with her thoughts, and I miss her. I miss her energy and her spark and love for work and dragons. She lost all of that and it seems as if she is only drifting further away. I was genuinely afraid for her but I just didn't know what to do.
I have never been in a situation like this with a friend before and I don't know anyone who has. I don't know if this was because of her prick boyfriend or because of the trial, even though she told me it went great and they are waiting for the date of the next one. I hated that I couldn't figure her out. That I couldn't read her mind and do something about her sorrow.
I woke up one morning from what seemed like another sleepless night. I know that I shouldn't beat myself so much over this and move on with my life. Everyone was telling me to do so but I can't. When you love someone as much as I love her, you don't just let them go, you fight for them.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I moved the curtain that was keeping my bedroom dark and looked outside. Cloudy. Why is it never sunny on my day off? I laid back down and stared at the ceiling. What can I do? Where can I take her to make her smile? Just for a second if I can't get more out of her. How can I make her talk to me and make her trust me on a level where she would tell me what is making her so miserable?
A knock on the door made me lift my head. I got up and went to grab some pants. Did I miscalculate? Was I supposed to work today?
I stopped in the doorway of my bedroom and covered my eyes with my hand. Even though the sun was hidden behind clouds the brightness of my living room still hurt my eyes. Someone knocked again.
“Coming!” I announced myself.
Give me a break whoever you are.
I opened the door and swallowed my words. It was Bill, with the biggest grin plastered over his face. He was holding something behind his back. I take it all back. Merlin, was I happy to see him!
“Bill! What are you doing here?” I gestured for him to come inside.
“I took the liberty to write to Peter to see when you have a day off.” I didn’t think his grin could get any bigger but it did. He revealed two bottles of Fire Whiskey from behind his back. “I think it’s time we celebrate me being engaged!”
“I thought the day would never come!” He stepped inside and I closed the door behind him.
He walked over to the kitchen table and placed the bottles down.
“I know I wrote it in at least three letters but damn Bill, congratulations!” I pulled him into a hug and tapped him on the back twice. “I am so fucking proud of you!”
“Thank you!” He bowed his head for a second, thinking he could hide the fact that my complement made him blush. “Now,” he clapped his hands together, “how about we get absolutely hammered!”
“I thought you’d never ask!” We each took a bottle and without even getting ourselves a glass we sat down on the sofa.
“So, what’s up with you? How are your children?” He smugged.
“They’re great. Can you believe that Aami is now fully confident about jumping in the air?” I said proudly.
“I knew you could do it! Any signs of him willing to fly?” He took a sip from his bottle.
“Nah.” I shook my head. “I don’t think that’s going to happen.” “But he’s happy and healthy, right?” Bill asked.
“Yeah. It’s a she actually.” I laughed. “Tina miscalculated something.”
“Aww, you got yourself a girlfriend, Charlie!” He beamed at me.
“Who would’ve thought! It’s a miracle!” I joked.
We both fell silent for a few moments and I decided to take a leap of faith and tell him about Rhylee. I was getting desperate and the feeling in my chest, the feeling of me being helpless was killing me.
“I have to tell you something.” I took a swig. “You remember the party in August?” Bill hummed to indicate he was following what I was saying. “I slept with Rhylee.”
Just saying it out loud in front of him made me want to gulp down the entire bottle. I hated that my wireless broke down as it was suddenly too silent for my liking.
“I knew it would happen!” Bill jumped in his seat, turning to me. “I am proud of you little brother. Finally making a move.”
“She told Nick.” I lifted my hand to stop his excitement.
“You’re joking?” He frowned.
“And he said that he would forgive her as long as she stops talking to me.” I sighed.
I was not drunk enough to have this conversation.
“And let me guess…” Bill pinched his nose. “She did and she’s still with him.” I simply nodded.
“Charlie, why am I only hearing about this now?” He raised his voice at me.
“Because I promised her I wouldn’t tell anyone what happened between us and I never thought it would go this far.” I answered truthfully.
“This far?”
“I don’t know what’s going on with her, Bill. Usually, I could read her like a book but I just can’t seem to figure her out. She distanced herself from everybody. She doesn’t talk to any of us. She lost weight which means she’s not eating and she always looks as if she’s on the verge of tears.” I don’t think one bottle of Whiskey’s going to be enough for me to ignore the aching feeling in my chest.
“Charlie, you have to tell her how you feel. She can’t stay with him. Nobody deserves to be so woeful.” He took a sip of his Fire Whiskey and melted into my sofa.
“I can’t, Bill. Would it be strange if I say that I think she’s enjoying her suffering?” Bill lifted his head, a puzzled look on his face.
“That doesn’t make any sense, Charlie.” Bill shook his head in confusion.
“I didn’t think about it at first. But I know she’s not happy with him and it doesn’t make any sense why she would stay. I have been going at it in my head for weeks.” I clinked my bottle against his to remind him that he’s is not drinking nearly as much as I am.
“Do you think he has something on her?” Bill asked.
“Like blackmail?” I shook my head. “I don’t think so. I don’t even think this has anything to do with him.”
“I am not following you, Charlie.” He blinked at me.
“Trust me, I know it doesn’t make any sense. But something has to be going on with her and it’s killing me that she doesn’t want to talk to me about it.” I pressed my fingers into my eyes.
“So you did try and talk to her?” Bill wanted to know.
“Of course I did. I try every day but to no avail. She completely shut down, Bill.” I ran my hand across my face.
“I still think you should tell her how you feel.” He pursed his lips at me.
“Bill, we slept together twice…” I lifted two of my fingers. “Don’t you think she would know by now?”
“Charlie, no offense but you slept with quite a lot of girls.” He lifted his eyebrows at me, a smirk on his face. “Perhaps she thinks that she’s just another…”
“Don’t even go there.” I put my hand over his mouth. “It wasn’t just sex Bill and she knows it. I don’t know how to explain it to you and I am not sure I want to with the way you are looking at me.” I rolled my eyes.
“Okay, okay. Only you know what really happened.” He tried calming me down. “Look, if you still feel as you described to me when you came to see me in London and you think she feels the same, you have to do something about it, Charlie.” He put his hand on my shoulder.
“I know this isn’t a fairytale and she might be having other problems so love can’t fix everything but I know you won’t stop until you get to the bottom of this. I know you care too much to do so and I still think she will leave that Nick guy and end up with you, one way or another.”
“So you’re saying to just be patient and keep nagging her until she tells me what’s wrong?” I summed up what he was saying.
It was practically what I was doing already.
“I guess. I am sorry I can’t be of better help.” A sad expression painted his face.
“It’s okay. Just talking to you about it helps.” I gave out a weak smile.
“Now, can we stop being so miserable and drink faster and talk about something more cheerful.” I raised my bottle in the air and he followed my lead.
Even though he briefly explained it in his letters, Bill finally got the chance to tell me how he proposed to Fleur. I thought I was going to cry, it was beautiful and it came as no surprise that she said yes before he even finished his cheesy speech about how much he loves her.
They were planning on having the wedding next August and Bill expressed his annoyance about mum not liking his fiancé. I don’t know why she is so against her, can’t she see her son is happy?
I remember when Bill brought Rhylee home and mum was over the moon to meet her, why does she think now that Fleur isn’t good enough for him?
I visited them a few times when they invited me for dinner and she was just lovely and nothing but nice. I was confident that mum would have to come around sooner or later. She can’t stop Bill from being with the love of his life.
We emptied our bottles sooner than we would like to admit and it became evident that Bill is sleeping on my sofa tonight. Somewhere, halfway through our bottles, it dawned on us that perhaps it would be a good idea if we ate something.
Cooking while being tipsy, especially Bill, whose cooking skills missed his genes, was the funniest thing I have done in a while. If anyone would be watching us, they would think we were insane and would be waiting with their wands in their hands, ready to extinguish the fire that was bound to erupt sooner or later.
It didn’t surprise us that we burnt both the meat and the potatoes but due to how drunk we were, we didn’t care much for the taste.
When we moved our party back to the living room, Bill thought it would be funny if I would have to name every single girl I ever slept with. He was crying, laughing so much. I, on the other hand, was getting a headache thinking hard about the few girls I took home over the years, as I simply couldn’t recall more than a face.
“Next time I need to bing more bolles.” Bill’s tongue was giving him away of how drunk he was as he picked up his empty bottle and looked through the hole to see why nothing was coming out.
“Seriously, how didn’t you think of this sooner?” I was surprised that I could still speak normally.
Perhaps, I should start drinking less.
“Oh, shit!” Bill suddenly stood up, his hands cupping his face, eyes widened as if he just remembered something really important. “I fogot, Chalie!”
“What did you forget, Bill?” I couldn’t hold in the chuckle that was tickling my throat.
The way he spoke was just too funny.
“I fogot to ask you!” He pointed his finger at me, still standing up. Barely, but he was standing up.
“Ask me what?” I encouraged him, ready to get on my feet and grab him in case he would begin to fall.
“Will you…” He hiccupped. “…Charles Weasley…” He got all dramatic. “Be my maid of honor?” I burst out laughing.
What in the bloody hell was he saying?
“Only if I can wear a pretty dress.” I joked and pulled him back on the sofa.
“Wait…” He scratched his forehead, staring at the wall opposite us. “That doesn’t sound right.”
“It sure doesn’t.” I couldn’t stop laughing, he was the center of the party when he was drunk.
“Bill, are you asking me to be your best man?” I knew what he was asking me before and I couldn’t believe that he was.
We were best friends and we got over what happened between us but this was still a great honor to me and I was too drunk to be so emotional right now so I decided to mess with him a little.
“Yes!” He exclaimed and lifted his hand for me to give him a high-five. “Will you, Chalie?”
He leaned his head against the sofa and looked at me. His expression serious all of a sudden, waiting for my answer. He seemed nervous. He couldn’t possibly think that I would say no.
I stood up and picked up one of the Fire Whiskey bottles from the coffee table. I placed it in front of my mouth as if I was about to speak into it and looked him dead in the eyes.
“I, Charles Weasley,” I started in a dramatic voice, “will be your maid of honor, William Weasley!” Bill started clapping as if he has just seen the best performance of his life and I bowed as he continued cheering.
I sat back down and I couldn’t help but grin when I saw how happy it made him. Of course, I would love to be his best man. It might just be my biggest achievement besides being a Dragonologist.
I woke up in my bed the next day, surprisingly without a headache. I found Bill sound asleep on the sofa. I wasn’t so sure, he’s not going to have one so I decided to be as quiet as possible and I took a shower. I made him some breakfast and coffee and the smell of eggs finally woke him up.
Bill didn’t drink as much as I did. His job was more serious than mine so he didn’t have that much time to unwind and have some fun. I was glad he had the opportunity to do so with me.
He left after breakfast, trying to convince me again to talk to Rhylee and tell her how I feel. I told him I will think about it even though I already knew I won’t do it. Ever since I started falling for her, I imagined I would ask her out, take her for a hike and have a picnic with her and tell her how I feel.
I know I might be a fool, but I still had hope that we might end up together. I couldn’t help myself. I know it would destroy me if I knew there was no chance of us being together and I just couldn’t think about that.

Despair Suits Ultimate Run-Through
Okay this has been sitting in my drafts for months I’m just posting it because all my drafts are stressing me out.
Wilbur - Ultimate “Guitarist” / Ultimate Distortion (despair)
- He’s the least true despair oriented out of the family. He loves messing with other people but doesn’t enjoy despair himself, something nobody including himself really realizes until Tommy is dead and he’s pissed because it’s not fun when HE’s the one mourning.
- He works with twisting perceptions and rules against people, there is no true good and all that. You do something nice? Well actually you see it’s cause so much more despair here etc etc..
Tommy - Ultimate “Playmate” / Ultimate Pawn (despair)
- Really just a brainwashed kid hyped up on death and despair because it’s what his family is built off of. He holds it to a religious degree and takes it very seriously.
- He’s the most like Junko out of the despair family, the rules of the game are sacred to him otherwise it’s no fun. He really does his own thing so long as it’s within the goals others have set for him to accomplish. His role is mostly fulfilling other’s plans. He simultaneously has the most and least freedom out of the despair grip, being able to function however pleases so long as he fulfills his task but he is completely obligated to fulfill all and any such tasks.
Tubbo - Ultimate Hazard / Ultimate Hope
- Much like Tommy he’s really just a brain washed kid who is drunk on despair because it’s what his friends do and it’s all he’s ever known.
- Helps him realize the reaason he stuck it out so long was becuase he already had jope, belief and drive that things would be better
Ranboo - Ultimate Journalist (main character)
- He is a journalist. He tries bis very hardest to be objective while still remaining compassionate and driven.Honestlyy he never intended to become a journalist. He started keeping notes to help himself and ended up submitting one for a school project he procrastinated on. Turns out he’s an excellent story teller as well as truthful, it won a contest and was featured in a paper and before he knew it he was writing for big news full time.
- He doesn’t even accept a lot of pay. His main and constant condition is, so long as everything is factual, his words not he twisted.
Niki - Ultimate “Baker” / Ultimate Agent
- She was already in the habit of not being upfront with her ultimite so as to be able to just get to know people first. She can work much easier when people don’t think they’re being worked at, if they knew they were going against an ultimate they become eager to prove it wrong so she went by “Ultimate Baker” for most of her life.
- As the Ultimate Agent she is extremely good at conflict resolution and always able to get some kind of goodness through her advocating. Ever since she was a child she found herself to be the only one who stood up for victims. She is very multi-talanted as it takes different things to get different people to listen. The skills she’s built up include a BS detector that’s off the charts, being genuinely one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, and being able to kick your ass seven ways to sunday.
Puffy - Ultimate Pirate
Schlatt - Ultimate Tycoon
- Tubbo convinces Puffy Schlatt is going to kill him. Schlatt has actually been very kind and mentor-y to Tubbo. He’s a good fit because his gruff additude isn’t too jarring for despair-washed child to dismiss but he is genuinely helpful at heart. He wants everyone to be safe.
- Tubbo is unerved by this shift in views happening to him and half-truthfully vents his feelings of unsafeness to Puffy, who posiosn him.
Hannah - Ultimate Florist
- Famous for growing the best flower garden in the whole country alll by herself, she has a strict rule about anyone else interfering with her plants. Also, generally a plant expert. Knows a lot more than just flowers. She’s strong as hell (maintaining one of the most revered gardens in the whole world by yourself involves a lot of running and lifting) and can also find the perfect blend of colors, smells, and meanings
Jackstanifold - Ultimate Determination
- I love the idea of more abstract talents! Like, “Ultimate Moral Compass” sounds really unique but he was actually more like “Ultimate Hall Monitor.”
- He got picked on by adults and other kids alike for not having an “applicable” talent. Determination isn’t like being a Ultimate Baseball Star or Ultimate
Fundy - Ultimate Game Designer
- Has several popular games under his belt.
Sam - Ultimate Guard
- Actually, he hates his ultimate. He’s strong and scary and can keep people in check sure but he’s also hella fucking smart as well kind and just wants people to be safe and happy. He wished people didn’t focus so much on his enforcement and more on his protecting.
Purpled - Ultimate Astronomer
- Actually spends most of his time playing sports, he’s very athletic and wanted to play something professionally but his knack for the stars kind of dragged him away. He doesn’t mind too much though, he really does love space!
Quackity- Ultimate Rogue
- It’s like he’s trying to be a Troublemaker™ (like Celest) but ends up more a Fuyuhiko. Albeit without the depressing jumpstart to his turn into genuinely wanting to help.  It’s more of a slow burn.
Charlie - Ultimate Forensic Chemist
- Acts as their detective/doctor character
- He’s in like an uncanny valley of a mad scientist and just some friendly dude. Sure, he experiments plenty (to the point it’s questioned why he’s forensic specifically or chemist specifically) but his speciality as an actual successful sciencest is in forensics chemist.
Karl - Ultimate Astrologer
- Sort of works like Angie but less... awful. He’s more genuine and happy and understands other’s opinions and skepticism.
- Honestly he more psychoanalyzes people and sort of personalizes some therapy then he does fret about their starsigns.
Sapnap - Ultimate Arsonist
- He is very proud of his flame abilities. He holds a “No one gets hurt unless I want them too.” Attitude about his fires. He knows just how to make a flame worse or better and was consulted in several forms be it weapons, demolition, or prevention. Basically, dude knows everything about fire.
George - Ultimate Model
- Not necessarily a model for his looks, rather his appeal. He just has a face people apparently love. Companies would play vast sums of money for him to pose with their product as it seems whatever he was attached to would sell like hot cakes. Even when he was a child his school made him sit alone in front of their stand as a mascot instead of working with everyone else.
Eret - Ultimate Aspirant
- Kind of the other side to Jack’s coin. He earned his ultimate title because  no matter what he was put in he worked his hardest in and improves tremendously, not always beyond others of course but he himself gets better than he was. He as a mind and a drive for success.
Dream - Ultimate Prey
- Ultimate prey. Governments from all over the world would drag him into their battlefields to test their powers. He’d been shot several times actually but no one ever managed to catch him.

He can’t stop thinking about Scorpius in general, but that’s been the case since he was fifteen. At least, when it comes to Scorpius he’s used to not getting what he wants. He’s happy with what he has, or at least, comfortable. That is until he accidentally asks for it, then it all starts to change.
@polly-darton wrote The perks of Veritaserum [James Sirius/Teddy | Explicit | 5.1k] James drank a long-lasting version of Veritaserum and is miserable and Teddy is having the time of his life. That is, until they’re both having the time of their lives.
@gracerene09 wrote Thunderstruck [Charlie/Teddy | Explicit | 2.6k] There’s not a lot for dragon tamers to do when stuck inside during a storm, but looking at this particular new recruit―well, Charlie can’t help but think of a few ways they could pass the time.
Quentin_threepwood wrote Hair Today, Hair Tomorrow [Albus Severus/Scorpius | Mature | 1.7k] Away on a book tour Albus Severus Malfoy grows a very creepy mustache, much to the horror of his still at home husband Scorpius Malfoy.
vitruvian8008 wrote Mission in Nairn [Draco/Lily Luna | Explicit | 7k] Lily Luna Potter is paired with Draco Malfoy for her first Auror Mission. On their last night, she decides to act on the lingering tension that had been building up between them.
@nerdherderette wrote No Other Alpha But You [Albus Severus/James Sirius | Explicit | 7.1k] Scorpius Malfoy has applied to be Albus' heat partner. There's no way James is letting that happen.
@aneiria-writes wrote The Scorpion King [Albus Severus/Scorpius | Explicit | 3.8k] Scorpius Malfoy, AKA the Scorpion King, has ruled Britain ever since his father turned his sights to conquering Europe. With his right-hand man and most trusted advisor, Albus Potter, Scorpius has a life of elegance and power. But he's had enough of the beautiful women that usually grace his bed. Scorpius has decided he wants something else in bed. Something more. Scorpius Malfoy wants Albus Potter.
@motherofmercury wrote Islands of the Upper Air [Lily Luna/Luna | General | 1.5k] Lily Luna has never liked her namesake, or her strange and sometimes absurd way of looking at the world. But a weekend full of ancient rituals and mountain forests is an eye opener, in more ways than one.
@shipperysails-bookofspells wrote Expecto Patronum!! [James Sirius/Teddy | Mature | 45.7k] James Potter had always known exactly what he wanted; to open a pub of his own, maybe travel the world, and live a simple life with the only man he’d ever loved. For years he waited, quietly determined to help Teddy see what could be between them. But just when everything he’d ever dreamed of was finally within his reach, it was ripped away in an instant. With Teddy missing, and presumed dead, James is left to pick up the pieces. John has no idea what he wants. He doesn’t even know who he is. But when he hears a strikingly familiar voice – on an otherwise ordinary day – he sets out to discover everything he can about the man that occupies his dreams. And Harry, well, Harry just wants to put his failures behind him. Until a series of unexpected events forces him to reexamine a case that he’d given up on solving. With the help of an unexpected ally, he just might find the answers he’s been looking for.
@lovealpenglow wrote lily's potter [Lily Luna/Lysander & Lily Luna/Draco | Mature | 8.3k] "But what if I keep it? What’s the contingency plan there?” She took a seat next to Lily. She spoke slowly, as if she was thinking about it for the first time, too. “Well, I mean, you keep your baby. You raise it. You love it. It goes on to do wonderful things because it’s a Potter.” Lily snorted. “It’s a Potter?” “Why not? I mean it’s just as much you as whoever is the father. Why shouldn’t it be a Potter first?”
@micheleblack wrote Snaked a Claim [Albus Severus/Scorpius | Teen | 1.6k] Everyone knew Albus was gay from age five when he would dramatically swoon every time Goncalo Flores the Quidditch player was mentioned. Twenty years later and Harry still tells the tale - much to Al’s embarrassment.
@ladderofyears wrote And I Fell Heavy (Into Your Arms) [James Sirius/Teddy | Explicit | 9.1k] When James Sirius Potter travels to America for three weeks, the turquoise-haired Healer Teddy Lupin misses his boyfriend very much indeed. Luckily, Teddy has (sexy) floo calls, charmed obsidian pendants and hastily made chastity promises to keep him busy. Based on the following prompt: Absence makes the heart grow fonder... Right? Smutty phone!sex? Longing letters? All up to you!
@veelawings wrote Dirty Duelling [Albus Severus/Draco | Explicit | 6.1k] Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want (Or — fucked up Dirty Dancing with wand fights)
@eleonorapoe wrote Albus’ Private Lesson of Sex Education [Albus Severus/James Sirius/Teddy | Explicit | 4.5k] Albus has some doubts about sex. Luckily he has an older brother, who can initiate him. How does this lesson go? James will be the teacher, Albus his good and obedient student and Teddy will be more than happy to serve them as a learning tool. In which a delicious Teddy sandwich is served.
@faeheyjesper wrote Four Reasons [James Sirius/Teddy | General | 8.1k] There were a couple of things James should've considered more seriously before coming back to work at Hogwarts as the new Flying Instructor. His dad being the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor there, for one. The fact that he hadn't really flown since a career-ending injury had put an abrupt end to his Quidditch fame two years ago, for another. His ridiculous, teenage crush on Teddy Lupin, his friend and Hogwarts' newest Charms professor, perhaps most of all.
@26timesbrighter wrote An Interlude [Lavender/Victoire | Explicit | 4.9k] Victoire is supposed to be chasing a serial killer, not shagging her uncle’s dead ex-girlfriend.
@drarryruinedme7 wrote Mint & Apples [Harry/Teddy | Explicit | 4.3k] Teddy Lupin's not-quite-wolf has chosen Harry Potter as his mate, that's all. He hasn't got a crush on his best friend's father, really. He also definitely isn't obsessed with Harry Potter's scent.
crazyparakiss wrote This is Love [Albus Severus/Scorpius | Explicit | 24.8k] Most of Albus’s bad life decisions can be summed up in a word: James. When he got a shitty tattoo in the Fifth Year—done by some bloke in a dirty flat—well, that was James’s idea. When he got picked up by Aurors for doing hallucinogens—James was the one who’d convinced him to do them at a party. That time they stole the flying motorbike Dad gave to Teddy—James was the one who insisted it was a rite of passage to drive it over London at dawn. Neither Dad nor Teddy was impressed with that explanation. Now, here Albus is living another bad choice that was born of James’s influence.
@gaeilgerua wrote The Balance Between Studying and Relaxing [Rose/Teddy | Explicit | 3.7k] Rose has been studying non-stop for her upcoming barrister exam. With Hermione attending Hugo’s Quidditch trials for moral support and Ron away on business, there’s only one person available to keep an eye on her. And Teddy is only too happy to take the role.
@r00wscribbles wrote The last ones to know [Albus Severus/Scorpius | General | 5.2k] Albus and Scorpius have a very close relationship. Everyone can see it. Perhaps they are the last ones to know jus how close they are.
@ohdrarry wrote You've Got A Second Chance (You Could Go Home) [James Sirius/Teddy | Teen | 16k] “What about James?” James, dear Merlin, not James, not again. His boy, his son, the brightest star in the constellation of Harry’s patchwork family, not him. “I think he’s relapsed.” – They tried this when James was nineteen and Teddy was twenty five. It crashed and burned. Teddy ran away to Finland and James... well Teddy's about to find out what happened to James, now that he's back two years later.
@maraudersaffair wrote Falling for You [James Sirius/Scorpius | General | 1.2k] Scorpius didn't care about Quidditch until he saw James Sirius on a broom.
@diligent-thunder wrote Heart-Shaped Ottoman [Draco/Teddy | Explicit | 6.3k] Draco has had interns before, but none so bothersome as Teddy Lupin.
@whenshereads wrote Living With Our Eyes Half Open [James Sirius & Scorpius | Teen | 5.5k] James didn’t mean to get his brother-in-law kidnapped alongside him that morning, but that is definitely what happened.
@shiftylinguini and @gracerene09 wrote Faim [Albus Severus/Scorpius | Explicit | 9.6k]  "So, this is the city of love!" Scorpius declared, adjusting the straps on his backpack. Albus wrinkled his nose. "City of pigeons, more like," he corrected, stepping around another fat, grey bird Or: Scorbus go to France.
@articcat621 wrote Unexpected [Lily Luna/Pansy | Explicit | 1.2k] Draco and Harry's engagement party brings about an unexpected, but not unwelcome, event.
@fidgetyweirdo wrote Remember to Forget [Albus Severus/James Sirius | Mature| 17.5k] The moment they kissed, James and Albus knew that they'd never be able to live without this -- too in love to walk away. Years later, and well into adulthood, the possible repercussions of their relationship feel very real and very scary. Without the strength to break it off, they're left with a single solution: a company that specializes in erasing and altering memories. Now the only thing left to do, is to say goodbye.

The Missing Mothers of Transformers Part 3
Hello, friends. This is a bonus part of a series based on a question that was asked by me a while ago. I warn you in advance that it is a sad topic and if you’re from a family where affairs and possible children through them happened, I will keep it sensitive. I am also not discussing this to tarnish the image of Rescue Bots nor do I mean to make the Burns family look bad. Anyway, here it goes and I’m sorry in advance if I make people sad.
A while ago, I did an analysis of the Burns family on why Mrs. Burns (the mother) is missing from the series. To sum it up in a recap, after noting that Chief Burns is as traditional as they come, it is shown that he has had way too much experience caring for his family alone even with so many kids with big age differences, he doesn’t wear his wedding band and no one talks about the missing mom and there are never even pictures of her. To me, this is all some rather dark evidence that it is likely that Chief and Mrs. Burns had a pretty rocky marriage and that she was in fact in a “problem child” of a wife who left all responsibility including raising the kids to Charlie and eventually either ditched them or Charlie had enough so he kicked her to the curb for the family’s own good. I should also note as someone who is married and knows other married couples; when someone doesn’t wear their wedding band yet highly values marriage and family, it is either because they do a lot of work with their hands or their own marriage was awful. In the case of Charlie Burns, other than cooking, his hands don’t get all that dirty with any hobbies or his work, so it is very likely that the latter is the case.
Anyway, as I have been rewatching the show because I like it and good shows are worth watching again, the analysis stayed with me and something began to not sit well with me. I didn’t know it at first until I paid close attention to the family group shots. I noticed something that took even more of my innocence towards the show away. The Burns kids don’t look like their dad. And what’s even more unsettling is that... each of them looks different. I mean, look at their hair! Each one of them has different coloured or shaded hair!
Tumblr media
Even in the episode where Cody temporarily grows up, he doesn’t look like his dad. Sure they both have moustaches, but any man has facial hair.
Tumblr media
Let me explain all of this further. Chief Burns is a blonde with hair that was once the same shade and is the same texture as Graham’s, but what about the other three kids? Cody’s the wrong kind of blonde with the wrong kind of texture while Dani and Kade are both redheads. And not even the same kinds. Also, if I saw these four kids together and didn’t know them, the only two who look related are Graham and Cody. Kade and Dani look like they came from different families and even Cody doesn’t look like his dad.
For those of you who don’t know genetics, refer to this chart;
Tumblr media
After taking a good look and recalling that Charlie Burns is a blonde who went gray with age, in order for him and his wife to have had redheads, she would have had to have been a brunette at least. However, even with that said, would Dani and Kade have the same type of red hair? And isn’t just their hair that’s different, Cody and Kade’s faces are different from their dad’s and from each other. And as for Dani, she doesn’t look a thing like any of her brothers. In fact, recalling that only Graham looks like the Chief, Cody, Dani and Kade all don’t look like their dad or like each other.
I am putting together a picture in my mind that is making me flinch, but I have to point it out. It is not possible for three of the kids to not look like each other and yet for all of them to have come from the same two parents. I think Cody clearly took after his mother and his dad, Dani took after her dad and Kade took after his dad. Yes, I am phrasing it that way on purpose because I think Kade, Dani and Cody... each had different fathers and none of them were Charlie. I know it’s a pretty dark conclusion especially for a kid’s show, but the evidence is just too compelling. It explains why they don’t look related and also why their age differences are all over the place. I can understand them having kids back to back with the first three, but Cody is still a kid indicating that he wasn’t planned. And suppose Mrs. Burns was fooling around with other men and getting pregnant by them, it would explain why she only left the picture after Cody was born. Charlie isn’t gullible or dumb, but for a person who was still in the beginning of his marriage, he might have just chalked up Kade and Dani’s red hair to coming from ancestors on their mother’s side and I can tell you as someone who has seen tons of babies, sometimes, who they take after is hard to read. I think it was only as the kids got older and their features matured, and Mrs. Burns’ true nature revealed itself, that Charlie became suspicious. And if at this point, things between them were that rocky, it is very likely that they became physically distant too. This means that Mrs. Burns fourth pregnancy which resulted in Cody could have only come from an affair which also gave away that she was having one because how else did she get pregnant if she wasn’t getting any from her husband?
The picture I draw after this is that after Cody was born, Charlie found out the truth about his other two kids not really being his either so he divorced his cheating wife. I don’t know if he threw her out and kept Cody out of compassion because he knew he was in for a bad life with such a sleazy woman or if Mrs. Burns just left and abandoned the family. I am also not sure if any of the kids are aware that Charlie isn’t really their dad if what I’m saying is true though judging by the way they act, I would have to say none of them know.
I know this fan theory is very, very sad, but in a way it also highlights to what extent Charlie is a good man and a hero. Most men would have been broken upon finding out that the majority of their kids weren’t theirs and would have even abandoned them. Charlie did no such thing. He stepped up and clearly loves all four of those kids as his own.
I also want to point out to anyone who says “well, it’s a cartoon so it’s going to have character design goofs”, all of the other characters who are family look related at least. Frankie is hinted to be the spitting image of her biological mother though her lips are that of her dad’s and her half-sister baby CeCe is a blend of her dad and stepmother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And even mayor Luskey and his brother look related at least. Same nose, chin, eyebrows, face shape and hair. Their dimples even fall in the same places. Only the heights, body types, weights and skin tones are difference. If these two men can be so different yet can still easily pass off as brother yet the Burns kids are not so easy to pass off as family, you know something is up. And it wasn’t bad character design.
Tumblr media
Once again, I am sorry if I made you sad and I hope I was sensitive towards people who have walked in these shoes. It is not a pleasant topic, but in a way, it is a good thing that Transformers represents people in these situations and shows us that it doesn’t matter where you came from. What matters is that you’re a good and kind person, and that love is what makes a family.
I would love to hear what people think of this theory I drew up or rather, the expansion on an existing theory. Hats off to the REAL dads and REAL moms who step up to the plate when other cowardly leave.
If you have a Transformers theory or character analysis you want explored, please let me know in my ask box. Duck Soup (1933); AFI #60
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next film on the AFI top 100 is a throwback to before the Golden Age of Hollywood when "talkies" were new, Duck Soup (1933). This film was the last attached to a 5 feature contract that the Marx Brothers had with Paramount pictures. It was moderately well received at the time but has since become the most critically acclaimed of the Marx Brothers films. The movie is only 68 minutes and is absolutely packed with gags. It is not, however, packed with a storyline or plot. I want to very briefly go over the summary because that is not what this movie is known for. Let's unnecessarily start with...
SPOILER ALERT? THIS MOVIE HAS NO PLOT. IT IS ALL ABOUT SITE GAGS AND SET PIECES. READ AWAY!!! IT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO HURT THE EXPERIENCE!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The film starts off with the wealthy Mrs. Teasdale (Margaret Dumont) insisting that a man that she is sweet on, Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho), be appointed leader of the small, bankrupt country of Freedonia before she will continue to provide much-needed financial aid. Meanwhile, neighboring Sylvania is attempting to annex the country. Sylvanian ambassador Trentino (Louis Calhem) tries to foment a revolution and to woo Mrs. Teasdale, and he tries to dig up dirt on Firefly by sending in spies Chicolini (Chico) and Pinky (Harpo).
After failing to collect useful information against Firefly, Chicolini and Pinky are able to infiltrate the government when Chicolini is appointed Secretary of War after Firefly sees him selling peanuts outside his window. Meanwhile, Firefly's secretary, Bob Roland (Zeppo), suspects Trentino's motives, and he advises Firefly to get rid of Trentino by insulting him. Firefly agrees to the plan, but after a series of personal insults exchanged between Firefly and Trentino, the plan backfires when Firefly slaps Trentino instead of being slapped by him. As a result, the two countries come to the brink of war. Adding to the international friction is the fact that Firefly is also courting Mrs. Teasdale, and, like Trentino, hoping to get his hands on her late husband's wealth.
Trentino learns from his femme fatale spy, Vera Marcal (Raquel Torres), that Freedonia's plans of war are in Mrs. Teasdale's safe and tells her to assist Chicolini and Pinky in stealing them. Chicolini is caught by Firefly and put on trial, during which war is officially declared, and everyone is overcome by war frenzy, breaking into song and dance. Chicolini and Pinky join Firefly and Bob Roland in anarchic battle, resulting in general mayhem.
After a fierce battle, the end of the film finds Trentino caught in a makeshift pillory, with the Brothers pelting him with fruit. Trentino surrenders, but Firefly tells him to wait until they run out of fruit. Mrs. Teasdale begins singing the Freedonia national anthem in her operatic voice and the Brothers begin hurling fruit at her instead.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are many exceptionally good and bad aspects of this film. On the good side, there are a couple of amazing set pieces that the Marx Brothers did like no other. The mirror scene in which Groucho and Harpo stand in front of each other and Harpo perfectly mimics his brother's movements was outstanding. Specifically, there is a point where Groucho stands outside the reflection and moves in a ridiculous way past what he thinks is a reflection. The mirroring between the brothers is exceptional. Add in the same dressing gown and cap to the actual resemblance (they are full actual brothers) makes for quite an effect. This mirror gag was first done on film by Charlie Chaplin almost 15 years earlier, but this is likely the most well known and best done example of the bit by real people. It was repeated by Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, The Pink Panther, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, and the Smurfs. That kind of mirror quality action was only repeatable through animation, apparently.
The constant wardrobe changes during the frenzied war scene have caused full speculative articles to be written. Groucho starts out in a Union officer suit, then appears in a Confederate officer suite, then a British palace guard uniform, and then in what looks to be a boy scout officer suit, and finally a Davy Crockett hat? The deep cynicism and anti-war sentiment of the brothers was blatant. It is summed up by the line "while you're out out there risking life and limb through shot and shell, we'll be in here thinking what a sucker you are." The United States had just gotten out of a war and many militaristic leads felt the need to show off. This lack of care after feeling so dominant following WW1 was the mindset that in part led to the Stock Market crash and the Great Depression. There was turmoil brewing in Europe and many Americans wanted nothing to do with it after seeing so many young boys getting ripped apart by trench warfare and machine gun fire. The brothers were satirizing all of those figures that we use to teach boys to want to fight for their country. They also went after what they believed were the causes of many wars: money and moral indignation between powerful men.
Although the film gives the audience insight into the mindset of much of the population during those extremely turbulent times between wars, it also boasts some of the most unsophisticated humor of a new visual medium. The silly songs do not translate well and sound like something created by a child. With truly clever artists like Frank Zappa, the Dead Kennedys, and national treasure Weird Al Yankovic, the Marx Brother's songs just sound lame to me. I think the same of Groucho's one liners. With comedians like Mitch Hedberg, Paula Poundstone, Steven Wright, and Jimmy Carr, the work of Groucho Marx feels seriously dated and quite cringy.
The real let down for me in this particular film was the fighting between Harpo and the Lemonade salesman. In fact, the character of Pinkie was "The Joker" levels of psychotic. I know he represented the constant undermining of communism. That is fine and makes a good point. Practically speaking, though, he reveled in causing problems for no reason and he was a constant nuisance. I have been around a lot of teachers and they sat that students who act like that are the bane of everyone's existence. It may be witty, but it is not funny. I have seen movies like Borat and Jackass, who are at least very creative in the way they cause problems and mostly harm themselves. I legitimately hate the character of Pinky and find him devoid of any real humor beyond the mirror scene. I also realize that Chicolini is a play on Mussolini, but I didn't really find him funny either. I want to emphasize that these are my opinions and I welcome comments on why Pinkie and Chicolini are hilarious.
There are some things that I do forgive and almost find charming. Directors from the silent film era had to emphasize that their actors over dramatize their lines so that the audience could get even a modicum of tone. This over-the-top dramatic speaking continued with many actors into the era of talking pictures. You can tell that this film was made near the change over because a lot of the actors talk like they are making one continual speech. Just about everyone is projecting for the cheap seats, and I totally appreciate it and smile. I also appreciate that the Marx Brothers absolutely jam pack the film with gags. I don't think many of the gags are funny, but I acknowledge that the movie is 68 minutes of constant jokes and the Marx Brothers made a concerted effort to give their audience the most bang for their buck. Good for them.
So does this movie belong on the AFI top 100? I am actually going to say no. I think that Horse Feathers is a funnier film and has the iconic football scene that got a screen cap on the cover of Time magazine. If the AFI was going to choose a Paramount produced Marx Brothers film, this one seems to me to only be second or third choice of the five. Would I recommend it? Sure. It is definitely dated and the jokes will not make a lot of sense any more, but some of the scenes have become iconic and it is fun to see what has been so heavily referenced in current media. It is a pretty fun movie to sit back and just experience for an hour, so I would give it a shot.

Chapter 44: Tim
Tim can pinpoint the exact moment he knows he’s screwed. Later, when he takes the time to think about it, he’ll be able to trace the progress of things and see all the signs, from his fear for them to his instinctive desire to reach out for them when he’s scared to the quiet comfort he feels when they’re together. He’ll remember that weird knot of jealousy he felt the very first morning when he saw the Primes cuddling and realize that it wasn’t a general I-wish-I-had-someone-to-love-me thing, it was specific to who was involved. He’ll figure out that he’s been quietly in love with Martin probably since the moment he saw him trying to apologize and look contrite with an armful of spaniel doing its level best to lick his face off with its tail going like a windmill, and that if there’s a moment he can point to later and say is the one where he completely fell for Jon it’s probably the soft look on his face as he tucked a quilt around Martin’s sleeping form.
But that’s all going to be in retrospect. The moment he knows comes a lot later and is a lot easier to detect.
After an exceptionally extended lunch that only ends when the afternoon crowd starts shuffling in, they part, Melanie with a promise to come by the Archives on Monday, Georgie with an offer to stop by and tell her story after she’s put her next episode of “What the Ghost?” to bed, Sasha with a cryptic reference to some sort of appointment and a promise to see them later. They discover what she means later that night when the doorbell rings and Tim opens it to find her and the Primes on their doorstep. Neither of them seem surprised to learn that Elias is forcing Jon on his grand tour, but they don’t seem pleased about it either. Jon Prime warns Jon, over and over again, to be careful. Tim would almost expect Jon to get exasperated, but he doesn’t. They actually have a pretty pleasant evening; Jon Prime cooks for them while they take turns telling him about dealing with Elias. He does seem pleased to hear Jon has reconnected with Georgie, and he and Martin Prime make the others laugh by sharing stories of dealing with their Melanie and Georgie. They pull out some board games after dinner, and while they all agree that with at minimum three people at the table who can literally access the sum total of human knowledge at a whim, Trivial Pursuit is right out, Monopoly is fair game.
Charlie comes over Saturday while his grandmother hosts one of her bridge nights. He’s extremely distressed to learn that Jon is going away again already, to the point that he throws himself into Jon’s arms and starts to cry. It takes all three of them the better part of an hour to get him calmed down, and it ends with Charlie curled on Jon’s lap, the two of them sandwiched between Martin and Tim. Tim looks at Charlie’s tear-streaked face and the heartsick look in Jon’s eyes and the tender concern in Martin’s, and he tightens his arms around them and tucks his chin over Jon’s head and hopes.
It rains pretty much all day on Sunday. Martin makes breakfast and brings it into the bedroom on a tray, and they sit close together and eat quietly and don’t talk about what’s bothering them. Finally, in desperation, Tim reaches under the nightstand on his side of the bed and fishes out a book he’s been meaning to read for years. He wraps his arm around Jon and manages to get a hand on Martin’s shoulder; Martin, evidently taking the hint, scoots closer and does the same, and Tim begins reading out loud. It transpires that the book is one of Martin’s childhood favorites, but Jon’s never read it before and is both delighted at the novelty and enraptured by the story. They spend the whole day curled up together, rain lashing at the windows, underneath the apple-leaf quilt Tim’s grandmother made him, heads touching as they take turns reading aloud. It’s a stolen moment of peace in a world gone crazy and Tim tucks it away in his memory to cherish later when he needs it.
He wakes up in the middle of the night and rolls onto his side, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness. The first thing he’s able to make out is Martin, doing the exact same thing he is—just watching. Jon, curled into a knot between them, is still asleep, but from the twisted, pained look on his face, it’s not an easy slumber.
Tim meets Martin’s eyes over Jon’s head and reads there the same worries and fears he has himself. Jon’s nightmares are bad. They’ve known that from the beginning, when Martin was recovering from the worms and they were all camping out in Tim’s living room, and they’ve only grown worse as time goes on. The screaming terrors from reliving what he went through with Orsinov have stopped…for now…but Tim knows in his heart of hearts that what’s making it easier these days is him and Martin bracketing Jon and doing their best to physically shield Jon from the Eye. There’s no real stopping it, but they can at least help.
But now Jon is going to Beijing, and God knows where after that, and he’s going alone. They won’t be able to help him with the nightmares if he’s not there to protect. And that’s besides the fact that Tim knows they’re both trying not to consider the possibility of some other monster trying to take Jon away from them when they’re not there to protect him. It doesn’t even have to be a supernatural one. As easy as it is to blame every horrible thing that happens on one of the Fears, there are ordinary people that are perfectly capable of being horrible on their own, and it would be just Jon’s luck to be caught up in something at random and get hurt, or worse. And they won’t be there to help. Again.
“I guess we could just…go with him,” Tim says, keeping his voice low. “Whether Elias wants us to or not.”
Martin shakes his head slowly. “I still don’t have a passport. And…I don’t think we can leave Sasha alone in the Archives. You can go, maybe.”
“I’m not leaving you behind.” Tim sighs and gently tucks a strand of hair back from Jon’s forehead. His skin is damp and clammy. “It’s a mess. He might be safer away from the Archives than we are, but…I worry, you know?”
“I know. I do, too.” Martin closes his eyes for a moment. “We just got him back. And we’ve got months to the Unknowing.”
Tim hesitates. He’s been thinking about that. “I don’t know that we do, actually. I—I don’t think it’s time-sensitive. I mean, I don’t think they have to wait for a certain time or anything. I think they just have to be…ready.”
“How will we know when they’re ready?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know what they’re waiting for.” Tim stares down at Jon’s face. “I can’t decide if I’m afraid they’ll be ready before he gets back—”
“Or hoping,” Martin completes. “Because if the Unknowing happens while he’s overseas…at least he won’t be caught up in it. At least they’ll leave him alone.” He’s quiet for a moment. “At least it’s one thing we can protect him from.”
“God. I just…want to wrap him in bubble wrap and a blanket and fight off the world with a stick. Or at least keep him right here with us. I wish we could just stay here and let the world sort itself out for a change. Why do we have to be the ones doing all this?”
Martin reaches over and brushes Tim’s cheek with his fingertips, ever so lightly. “Anything worth having is worth fighting for,” he says softly.
Tim reaches across Jon’s sleeping form and pulls Martin closer, but he doesn’t say anything further.
The alarm goes off not long after; Jon is taking an early-morning flight by virtue of it being the cheapest available option, and he’s got to be there close to three hours early to check in. It’s too early for any of them to be properly hungry, but Martin makes tea while Jon takes a shower and Tim…sits around feeling useless.
As if sensing that, Martin glances over his shoulder at Tim. “Does he have any statements with him?”
“Oh, God, yeah, let me check.” Tim heads over to where Jon’s bag is. It’s a simple messenger bag he’s probably had since university, if not longer, frayed in spots and festooned with patches and pins. Jon never brought this to the Institute, instead using a professional faux-leather laptop bag, which isn’t surprising; it’d be pretty hard for him to sell the “serious academic” persona if he’s walking around advertising that he listens to Sinner’s Gin.
He opens the bag and looks through it. Jon’s packed a couple changes of clothes, some toiletries, a couple of paperback books, and of course the tape recorder, his personal one. But no statements.
Quietly, Tim goes over to the end table and opens the drawer. Inside are two tapes and a slim folder. He takes a deep breath and relaxes his hold on his powers, bracing for the colors to pop up. It’s surprisingly easier to filter out the Eye and see the beneath colors than usual—whatever’s in the folder glows orange around the edges but green in the middle, and one of the tapes just seems to have indigo stripes through the green rather than them  being layered on top of each other. Like the Eye isn’t hiding the truth from him anymore, like it’s letting him really See.
He files that information away to deal with after he’s got some caffeine in him and nudges the Stranger tape out of the way; it’s probably the one he and Martin listened to, so it’s no good, it’s already been used. The other one is pure, blinding green—an Eye statement that Gertrude recorded, which is unusual. Tim seals off his ability and reaches for the tape. It takes him three tries to pick it up without dropping it—his hands are shaking, he guesses because he’s upset about Jon leaving—but he finally carries it and the folder over to tuck them into Jon’s bag, then seal it up again.
“He didn’t,” he tells Martin, heading back into the kitchen. Martin sighs and hands him a cup of tea. “But you never took back the ones you brought home after that whole thing with the Not-Diana, so I put them in his bag.”
“God, I can’t believe I forgot about that,” Martin murmurs. “Still, it’s been a hell of a week.”
Tim pauses, cup halfway to his lips. “God, how has it only been a week?”
Jon comes into the kitchen, hair still damp from the shower; it’s down to about his collar now and takes a while to dry. Martin silently hands him a cup of tea, too. None of them speak while they drink. It’s as if these last few minutes at home are too precious, or too heavy, for words. At last, though, Jon glances at the kitchen clock and swallows hard. “Time to go.”
Pure devastation flashes through Martin’s eyes, but he simply nods and takes the cups from him and Tim to put them in the sink. Tim worries at his lip as he studies Jon. “You’ve got everything? Passport, wallet, phone?”
A faint smile tugs at Jon’s lips briefly. He reaches into his pockets and produces the requisite items—a burgundy passport in near-pristine condition, a black billfold that’s seen better days, and the new phone they picked up for him Saturday morning that he’s gone to a lot of trouble to set up. “Charger’s in my bag.”
“Okay. Okay.” Tim takes a deep breath. “I guess that’s it, then.”
They take Tim’s car, not because Jon minds them driving his car but because Tim’s has a column shift and a bench seat in the front, which means Jon can sit between Tim and Martin for the journey. Traffic isn’t too bad this early in the morning, at least not until they get closer to the airport, but Jon is apparently far from the only person traveling today, so there’s a bit of a snarl before Tim is able to navigate up to Terminal Three.
He hesitates at an intersection and looks at Jon. “Do you want me to drop the two of you off at the door or—”
“No. There’s time,” Jon says softly. “You can park first. Then you’ll both know where it is.”
There’s more to that than what Jon is saying, but Tim doesn’t question it. Instead he finds a space in the short-term lot for Terminal Three, and if it’s one of the farthest spots from the terminal doors, well, there might not be a lot of people here dropping off or picking up at this time of day, but who knows what the situation will be by the time they go to leave? Jon slides out of the car and doesn’t take Tim’s arm or Martin’s, but they walk close enough together that it doesn’t really matter.
The doors open up into an enormous space. Martin, who’s clearly never flown before, looks around him with wide eyes, and Jon shrinks back slightly. Tim gently ushers them to one side of the door, where there are a couple of benches, and heads off to the departure boards to make sure they’re in the right terminal. Once he’s located Jon’s flight on the boards (on time, unsurprising for an early-morning flight), he makes his way back to where he left them. Jon has edged closer to Martin and Martin has an arm wrapped around Jon’s shoulders, and both of them look both terrified and heartsick. Tim looks at them, unobserved for the moment, and he’s struck by the urge to drag them both home, shut the door of their bedroom, draw the curtains, and stay there until the Unknowing collapses on its own. As badly as he wants revenge, as much as he wants to hit back at the thing that murdered his brother, he’ll give that up in a heartbeat if it’s the only way to keep Jon and Martin safe.
The penny drops then, bounces off just the right pegs, lands squarely in the right cup and oh.
Tim stands stock-still for a moment, stunned by the swift and sudden revelation. In retrospect, he doesn’t know why it surprises him so much; it’s not like he hasn’t known he’s polyamorous since he was fifteen, and God knows he’s wanted to kiss both of them more times than he can count. But, somehow, he’s been convincing himself they’re just friends, as close as brothers maybe, but nothing more than that. And, well, maybe they are. It’s more than that on Tim’s end, though.
He’s in love with Jon and Martin both, and he doesn’t know what he’ll do if he loses either of them. And Jon’s about to go haring off across the world alone, and Martin keeps accidentally coming to the attention of things that want to hurt or kill him, and oh, God, Tim is so incredibly screwed.
He shakes himself out of the stupor. He can deal with this later. Or never, as the case may be, but he promises himself he’ll deal with it later and heads over to the other two. Jon sees him and pulls, with obvious effort, away from Martin. “Is this the right terminal, or—?”
“No, you’re good. Your check-in counter is down this way.” Tim indicates the large sign for the airline Jon will be flying on the first leg of his journey—he’ll apparently be changing planes in Copenhagen.
They stay at Jon’s side all the way up to the check-in counter, where he provides his identification and credit card to the rather stiff old man behind the counter, who keeps sneering at the three of them in a way that makes Tim very much want to hit him. The man asks rather more questions than Tim is used to, even for an international flight, and he’s about to step in and explode when the man finally, finally hands Jon his boarding pass and moves on to the next person waiting.
“How did he manage to make ‘have a good trip’ sound like a curse?” Jon says under his breath as they turn towards the security checkpoint.
Martin snorts. “It’s like ‘may you live in interesting times.’”
“I’ll pass. After this, I would like my times to be as un-interesting and quiet as possible, thank you.” Jon smiles, but it melts away almost instantly.
There’s virtually no wait at the security checkpoint, Tim notices, or at least not compared to how it would be later in the day. Jon will be able to breeze through it in a matter of minutes. And according to the signs posted everywhere in huge letters, Tim and Martin won’t be able to accompany him. Martin stares at one of the signs boldly declaring TICKETED PASSENGERS ONLY BEYOND THIS POINT for a long minute. His face is implacable, but Tim knows what’s behind it, because he’s feeling it too.
Jon looks at the queue, and the security gates, and the signs telling him to remove his shoes and have his ticket and passport ready. He turns to face Tim and Martin, opens and closes his mouth a couple of times, then suddenly gives a small, choked sob and lunges forward, clutching them both by the front of their shirts and burying his face in the narrow dip where their shoulders touch.
“I don’t want to leave you,” he whispers.
Tim wraps one arm around Jon and the other around Martin; Martin does the same, and the three of them cling to one another tightly. He can feel Jon trembling and hear Martin’s breath hitching in his chest and he almost dares to let himself hope, but he pushes the thought out of his mind. He can’t let himself think that, not now, or he’ll drive himself crazy with wanting and fear. And if he’s wrong, if they don’t…it’s better to assume they don’t and possibly be surprised later than believe they do and almost certainly be crushed.
There’s soft music coming from somewhere, a gentle and soothing melody in a choked and broken voice, and it takes Tim a second to realize that it’s Martin, singing quietly so that just Tim and Jon can hear him. It’s a plaintive melody and the lyrics are a little melancholy, but the line when I return united we will be does at least warm Tim’s chest, just a little.
Jon gives a deep, shuddering breath and pulls back, almost reluctantly. “I—I’d best—I shouldn’t miss the flight.”
“We’ll wait,” Tim says, his voice unexpectedly hoarse. “Until—until you’re through.”
Jon nods. “I’ll let you know when I get to the gate, and when I board.”
“And when you land,” Martin insists. “I don’t care what time it is.”
“I will. I promise. I—” Jon swallows hard, looking from Tim to Martin and back, then steps forward and hugs Martin tightly. Martin hugs him back, and they murmur something to one another before Jon eases back, turns, and hugs Tim just as fiercely.
Tim hugs him back. He’s still too thin, feels too frail, somehow. He’s barely recovered from the hell Orsinov put him through and now they’re sending him off on his own, and Tim wants to keep him here, but he knows he can’t.
“Please look after him,” he whispers in Tim’s ear.
“I will,” Tim promises. “You be careful, you hear me?”
“I hear you. And I’ll be as careful as I can. I promise.” Jon squeezes him briefly, then slowly, almost reluctantly, lets go. He takes a deep breath, slips out of his shoes, and heads over to join the queue.
He doesn’t say goodbye. Tim’s strangely relieved by that.
True to their promise, Tim and Martin stay where they are, side by side, watching as Jon inches ever closer to the metal detectors and security checkpoint. When Jon places bag and shoes in a bin to go on the conveyor belt, Martin reaches over without looking and grabs Tim’s hand. Tim grips his tightly in return, and they only…watch.
They can barely see him on the other side of the security gate, but for a brief moment, Tim sees Jon hesitate and look over his shoulder. Tim waves, Martin does too, and Jon raises his hand in farewell before slowly turning and walking away.
Martin lets go of Tim’s hand, but before Tim has time to regret its absence, he puts his arm around Tim’s shoulders and pull him closer. Tim slides his arm around Martin’s waist. They don’t need to say anything; they just turn and walk away.
People mostly ignore them, although one or two give them inscrutable looks. Tim doesn’t know if they think they’re a couple and disapprove or think they’re mourning something or what, but he decides he doesn’t care as long as they leave him alone. They make their way slowly back to Tim’s car, but don’t get in; Tim leans against the back of it, and Martin joins him, arms folded as they look up at the still-black sky.
“What song was that?” Tim finally asks. “That you were—before he left.”
Martin rubs a hand over his face. “It’s called ‘The Leaving of Liverpool.’ I think. It’s—it’s the song my dad always sang the night before he left, when he was putting me to bed.” He doesn’t say anything for a moment, then adds softly, “I fell asleep.”
“What?” Tim turns to look at Martin, frowning.
“The night he—we had this whole routine at bedtime when he was about to leave for the fishing run, and one of them was him singing that song to me. I sang along on the chorus, once I learned it, which didn’t take long.” Martin isn’t looking at Tim, his eyes still on the sky, but Tim can see the glint of tears in them. “Normally I’d settle down and close my eyes after he left, but that last time…I was tired. I don’t remember why, but I fell asleep before he got to the last verse, so I wasn’t awake for the whole song.” He turns to look at Tim. “And then he never came back. I thought it was my fault. I thought—it’s stupid, I know it’s stupid, but at first I thought it was like a-a magic charm or something, and I broke the ritual and that’s why he didn’t come back. I thought something had happened to him and—”
“Oh, Martin.” Tim reaches over and pulls Martin into a tight hug. Martin hugs him back, and Tim can feel the tears spilling over. “It’s not your fault. And—and Jon’s going to be okay. He will. He’ll be back soon.”
“I know,” Martin says softly. “It’s just…”
Tim doesn’t need Martin to finish. “I know.”
They don’t go anywhere. They probably should, probably don’t need to sit in the parking lot, but they do. They lean against Tim’s car and watch the stars, occasionally punctuated by the lights of planes taking off or landing. Jon texts them both to let them know he’s through customs, and then that he’s at his gate. Still they don’t leave, and still they don’t speak.
Finally, finally, the text comes to both of their phones. [Just took my seat on the plane. Have to turn my phone off now. Will text you when I arrive.]
Martin’s hands shake as he sends the reply. Tim waits for it to pop up on his own phone. [Have a safe flight.]
Jon’s next text comes almost at the same instant; he must have been typing it to send while Martin was trying to reply himself. Three simple words. Their meaning can’t be clearer. Still, Tim has to stare at them for a long moment.
[Miss you already.]
Slowly, Tim raises his head to look at Martin and finds Martin staring back with a look that’s probably identical to the one on Tim’s face. He’s pale, his eyes red-rimmed, but he’s not crying. They’re probably both past tears at this point. It’s just fear and longing and the ache of missing a part of themselves.
Tim fishes out his keys and holds them up; Martin nods, and they both climb into the car. When Tim turns the ignition on, the entire dashboard flashes for a moment—there’s a short in the electrical system somewhere; he’s been meaning to get it looked at, but he doesn’t drive much these days and this doesn’t happen every time, just occasionally—and the radio kicks on of its own volition. A reedy American tenor belts out the last line of the first verse. Already I’m so lonesome I could die…
Tim scowls at the radio. “It should be illegal to play this song within ten miles of a major airport.”
Martin gives a soft, slightly broken laugh. “Breakfast?”
“I don’t know that I can eat, but we can give it a shot.”
“Yeah, but…” Martin gives Tim a sideways look. “I promised I’d look after you.”
Tim grins and tries, once again, to kill the sudden flare of hope in his chest. “Same.”
“God, he’s such a worrywart.” Martin holds up a hand. “I know, I know, pot, kettle, et cetera. Want to call Sasha and see if she’s up?”
“No, I don’t want to die today.” Tim puts the car in gear and backs out of the space. “Come on. There have to be a few places open this early that won’t be too expensive for us to not eat at.”
Martin reaches over and puts his hand over Tim’s, not squeezing or holding, just resting it there. Tim slips his thumb over the back of Martin’s hand and rubs it gently, feeling it catch against the very, very slight roughness of Martin’s skin. The scars from the worms have faded as much as they ever will, mere pale circles against his skin, but there’s one on his right pinkie finger where the worm very nearly went all the way through, and there’s an ever-so-faint ridging there that Tim keeps rubbing at, over and over, as if he can erase the hurt and the marks from Martin’s skin.
It’s not until they get to the café that it occurs to Tim that what they’ve just done is exactly what the Primes did in those early days when they were still trying to conceal their relationship. It seems too dangerous to consider the ramifications of that, though, so Tim settles for sliding into the same side of the booth as Martin and leaning against his shoulder, needing some of his strength and warmth and softness.
Martin lets him.

Double standars with angels in Netflix’s Lucifer
...and to be honest, this kind of double standars fit in more situations.
So, today, we’re gonna discuss how are people who are “holly”, or at least they think they are, and why are they the one of the least kind people you want to have around. And Lucifer, the tv series, shows it pretty great.
Let’s start with Uriel.
Tumblr media
We first met this guy by threatening Chloe’s life. Then it turned out to be all on his own, not by his dad’s commands, so he straight threatened a innocent soul in order to blackmail Lucifer so he could kill his own mother.
And that’s an angel. It is known too that Uriel is one of the warrior-like among them, but those morals...
And that’s not even the end of it. Remember the actitude he had with Maze? While Amenadiel was like “those are Lucifer’s minions, who are dark things and corrupt and all that but had their purpose, since they torture the bad ones in hell and at least not beyond reason”, Uriel is straight:
Tumblr media
We also have Remiel:
Tumblr media
She seemed to be more friendly and kind of listens to her old brother (unlike the Uriel), but let me remind you that this one, even if she didn’t want to kill her to-be-born nephew, she had no second thoughts into killing the mother to kidnap him. And Amenadiel had to be the one to softhen her intentions so Linda wouldn’t get killed, but still had the intention to cut her down to steal the baby when it wasn’t even born (and most likely, be killed in the process, both baby and mother).
She didn’t give any shit for a life of a woman who, as far as she knows, had slept with one of her brothers.
I mean, in this show, we saw demons, who were supposed to be the nastiests among their own kind, to cool down milk for the same baby so it wasn’t too hot, and use basic skills to babysit.
Azrael is a cinnamon roll, and she is clumpsy with people, but seems like she knows how to deal with humans, so she doesn’t belong to this post. Let’s skip her.
First season Amenadiel:
Tumblr media
Let’s see, he had a bit of compassion, and he had polite conversations with humans like Chloe and Linda, but he had no remorse to use any of them as pawns even if they could get hurt (well, just Linda), the Wing’s scam that resulted in a person’s death, and all of that with Malcom Graham.
Well, pretty bad, but he is the one who less complains I have for, since he was the one who put the rule of “No killing humans”, so he’s not the worst. At all.
Aaaaaaand the icing on the cake:
Tumblr media
Let’s recall:
Usurped Lucifer’s name because he couldn’t stand he had any tiny positive thing in his life. (childish envy tantrum number 1)
He tried to take over Lucifer’s life because he grow a hot spot for Chloe and had no trouble lying to her.
Straight told Chloe about being a miracle to wreck her heart because she was pissed at him and told him Lucifer was good for her and he was the bad one. (childish tantrum 2)
Used his “worst fear” mojo in Linda to made her be so focused in that so she wouldn’t notice he’s not Lucifer.
Threatened his nephew’s safety.
Manipulated Maze to turn her into his minion so she could watch his back with the other brothers.
Tricked Dan with the crap of “Lucifer is a menace to the world” so Dan would shoot Lucifer and to make him find out Lucifer is the Devil.
There’s a chance he scared at some point Charlie to stress him out (which would be the reason Charlie was crying all the time) so he get a fever.
HE KIDNAPPED CHLOE AND PUT CRAP IN HER HEAD.
Manipulated Amenadiel’s fatherly fears to be able to beat him down because Amenadiel told him “your worst fear is that Lucifer is still better than you” (childish tantrum 3).
This guy is one of the most popular angels and he gets tons of prayers for protection. He, who gives a fuck about anyone, even his own family, is a compulsive LIAR, and is basically humanity thinks the Devil is. Also, he even said that “I do what I want” (chapter 1 of Season 5, when Amenadiel told him he found out it was him).
Friendly reminder this guy’s name means “He who is like God”.
So, what do we have here, and what these guys have in common? And why, if they are such.... I can’t even find a word  they don’t have the Devil features their brother Lucifer has?
There’s a simple answer: they simply believe they are above everything, that they’re holly.
Allow me to explain why this is something that makes someone dangerous.
If someone thinks they’re above the others, they won’t find any reason to not use, harm, and do anything to those who find less than them. Think of what you are able to do to an insect.  And, if someone thinks they’re the embodiment of virtue, they’ll believe all they do is right. So, NO MERCY, NOT REGRET, because they’re supposed to not make mistakes; everything they do is right... according to them.
And this happens not just on Lucifer! In Bones, there was this woman who believed (she was in a madhouse) that she was an angel.
Tumblr media
(yeah, I used her creppiest stare on purpose)
To sum up what she was, she thought her deed of killing a guy with horns who believed he was a demon (he was just crazy, he was a nice tormented guy who didn’t harm anybody), because, even if he hadn’t done anything wrong, he was a demon and had to be killed, and she saw nothing bad on it. Nothing.
You want another example? Let’s go!
Tumblr media
Even if you don’t know who the hell is this, it’s self-explanatory.
Lucifer, on the other side, who believed he was evil, he was someone who cared, who empatised with people, and would protect them.
You can use this for the real life. Beware of those who look sure when say they are “I’m a good boy/girl”.

Love is fire
Maxwell Lord x Reader
Summary: Y/N is saving up to attend the university of her dreams, she is shocked to find out that her father got her a job as Maxwell Lord’s assistant. Y/N can’t stand him but soon enough they become infatuated with each other.
Warnings: Swearing.
A/N : Hello everyone. I’m an absolute simp for Max Lord. I hope y'all like this and want me to continue. Feedback is appreciated and remember to let me know if you want to be tagged.
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry Wyndham but there’s nothing to do, I just don’t have an opening at the moment.”
“That’s okay, Mr.Lord I was just hoping that maybe there would be a place here for my y/n I have worked here for years and I was kind of envisioning the same thing for her.”
Wyndham had been Maxwell's personal driver since he was 40 and Maxwell only 20, now that he was 65 the time came for him to go home indefinitely at the end of his shift today.
“Mr.Lord, I have them on the phone for you.” said his redhead assistant Anna. Who was visibly uncomfortable in her high heels.
“Are you alright Anna?” asked Wyndham noticing her uncomfortable walk.
“Oh yes thank you, I just can’t wait for this one to finally come out, he’s making my feet swell like crazy,” said Anna as she looked down at her swollen belly.
Max rolled his eyes at interaction.
“Right Wyndham I need to take this call I’ve been waiting for it all week, I’ll see you later then. Remember it’s straight home tonight.”
“Of course Mr.Lord.”
Wyndham and Anna took their leave and left Max to do his job, which seemed like lately, it was only screaming at people.
X
You sighed as you wiped down the sticky counter top, you couldn’t believe that it was the fifth time a child had knocked over their drink on your shift. Every time you reminded yourself to never have children.
“Y/N when you’re done there can you please come to help me in the back ?”
“Yes, Charlie I’ll be there in a minute,” you answered.
Charlie was your boss but also your best friend. He’s the one that got you your waitressing job after you finished high school together.
His family owned the cafe where you worked. Your family didn’t have enough money to send you to the university of your dreams so you decided you’d make the money yourself. It was proving to be more difficult than you initially thought.
“What’s up?” you asked Charlie.
“Are we going out tonight or what? This week has been exhausting and I need a distraction.”
“You can say that again but unfortunately not tonight, it’s my dads last night of work and I want to be there when he gets home.” You said smiling sadly.
Charlie sensed your change in mood and hugged you.
“Hey, cheer up. It’s the 80’s anything can happen, just don’t give up yet.”
“My parents are old, and now my dad won’t be bringing back money anymore, my mum is getting tired of looking after kids all day and now I’ll have to start helping with bills. I don’t mind doing it but this just isn’t how I saw my plan going yah know?” tears were spilling down your face at this point and Charlie pulled you in tighter.
“Listen, you’ve got this. If there is anybody that can do this, it’s you. I’ve never seen you fail at anything and I won’t have you start now.”
“I love you so much,” you said as you held him closer.
“I love you too babe.”
X
“You ready Mr.Lord?” Asked the elderly man.
“Always,” replied Max as he got into the back seat of his limousine.
Wyndham got into the car and adjusted his mirrors for the last time. He put on his driving hat. His eyes meeting Max’s in the rearview mirror.
“Going home, Mr Lord”
Maxwell only nodded as the car took off. He’s heard those words for over 25 years and now it’s suddenly stopping. His new driver will be picking him up on Monday morning and he sighed at the thought of having to get to know someone all over again.
The city was alive with teenagers partying, adults dancing and kid’s at the movies. Sometimes he wondered...
X
The view of The Lord mansion came into view as the large iron gates opened. The doubted rooted in the middle of the drive-in looking especially beautiful with the recently added lights. The head housemaids idea. Agatha practically raised Max since his parents were always away for business.
Wyndham and Agatha were about the only people Max could stand. Well, and of course the exception of his assistant Anna and maybe just maybe his Gardner but he never really saw him all that much but he reminded him of one of the friends he has as a child. Heck, he didn’t even know his name. Alec maybe? Or Rodney?
Wyndham opened the door for Maxwell and swiftly closed it behind him again.
“Well Sir, it was a privilege working for you. I’ll never forget how good you were to me.” The old man’s eyes turned glasses as he took off his hat, handing it over to Max.
“Keep it please, it won’t be same in somebody else. Are you sure I can’t give you any kind of compensation?”
“No Sir please we’ve been over this, I’ve managed to put away a sum of money each month, I couldn’t take any more.”
“This doesn’t feel right Wyndham, is there anything I can do? Anything at all.”
“Well, perhaps there is one thing...”
X
“YOU GOT ME A JOB AS MAX LORD’S ASSISTANT?” you were fuming.
“Oh come on Y/N this could be your big break,” said your dad trying to cheer you up.
“My big break? Dad, I’m not working for that prick.”
“Hey you watch your mouth, that prick is who paid your school fees and fed you your whole life.”
“I know it’s just...I’ve never liked him, he’s so cold and have you seen him on tv? He’s so full of himself and he doesn’t know what to do with all that money and...”
“Didn’t you use to have a crush on him? You would see his commercials and go all read.” said your mother from across the room.
“MOTHER !!!”
“Listen, honey, just give it a chance. It’s good money and it will look great on any university application.”
“Your father is right Y/N just see how it goes, we would never force you to stay if it’s unpleasant.”
You never could say no to your parents and half of the time they were right.
“What if I take the job but work at the cafe at nights with Charlie?”
“You could do that but won’t that be exhausting?” questioned your mother.
“Being a personal assistant can be a lot of work especially for Mr.Lord.”
“Maybe your right, I’ll go down to the cafe tomorrow and talk to Charlie. How did you get me this job anyway?”
“Well, his current assistant is pregnant and is going on leave soon. When I dropped him off tonight I asked him.”
“And how did he react ?” you hated that you were curious.
“Well he wasn’t surprised but since it’s only temporary he agreed, he mentioned sometime about how he cannot wait to meet you.”
“There she goes all red again.” said your mother giggling.
“Stop bothering the child Lillian.” said your dad grinning at your mother. Enjoy your embarrassment equally as much.
“Okay fine I’ll do it but if he gets on my nerves I’m quitting.”
X
“What on earth are you wearing ?!” Charlie practically had a heart attack.
“What do you mean this is all I had? I wore it to a christening.”
You shyly pulled down the hem of your dress to get the dress to cover your knees.
“We’re you the one being christened?”
“Oh shut up.”
“Okay listen if you were leaving me to work for Max Lord then you can’t go in looking like that. They will eat you alive. It’s business not pancakes.” said Charlie as he desperately tried to put your hair up.
“What do you suggest?” You asked defeated.
“We'll start by curling your hair if you are going to wear it loose or at least pin it up. Your make up shouldn’t be all over your white-collar and it’s the 80’s your allowed to wear pants, get rid of that dress and maybe buy a pencil skirt.”
“With what money Charlie? I can’t just make a new wardrobe appear.”
“I’ll tell you what. I know this cute thrift place downtown, I’ll take you there and give you your last paycheck early. Sides you get a gift as a thank you for your service yah know.” said Charlie as he grinned at you.
If it wasn’t for Charlie you probably would be a lost cause.
“Okay fine, you and me after work okay. I need your advice if I’m gonna take over the business world.”
Both of you started laughing. Your laughter stopped however when you saw Max’s commercial on the TV that was in the kitchen of the cafe.
“Shoot I’m late, I gotta go. See you later.”
“There she goes.” Mumbled Charlie as he watched you run off.
X
“Being late isn’t exactly a good first impression Y/N.” said Anna as her eyes landed on you.
“I know I’m sorry I lost track of time. Has he asked about me yet ?”
“You’re in luck, he’s not in today. He’s away for business he’s out the whole week. That’s good because if he saw you in that outfit he’d probably send you home.”
“He’d send me home for wearing a short dress what a - “
“No don’t even go there, he’s not like that, he’d send you home because you have terrible taste in fashion,” said Anna as she gave you a stern look.
“This is not an easy job but I trust in you. I’ll show you the basics today and then at the end of the week you’ll be starting on your own.”
The idea was scary. Would you be able to cope all alone in a big office? The one upside though was that Max’s assistant had their own little office away from the other workers which mean nobody could stare at you the way they did when you came up.
At least you could go shopping with Charlie after work, you didn’t want to admit it but you wanted to make a good impression now that you knew you had a second chance. Maybe your parents were right. This could be good for you.
X
Monday morning came zooming than you would have hoped. Your thrifting with Charlie went well and at least now you had a decent enough outfit.
Why did you even want to make a good impression, don’t you loathe this man?
Maybe it was just to avoid the uncomfortable stares from your co-workers. Everyone here looked like they belonged somewhere like they had to succeed.
To be honest, you felt intimidated walking to your office, maybe this wasn’t a good idea, maybe you should just go home and -
“Ohf, I’m so sorry I didn’t look where I was going.” you apologized.
Your bright e/c eyes traveled up to meet the dark brown ones of the man you had just bumped into. It was him. Max Lord.
“That much is clear.” His words sounded forced, almost like he didn’t even want to waste his time talking to you.
“I...I -“
“Out with it girl.”
“I'm new I’m filling in for Anna.” you managed to string together a sentence while still locking eyes with his.
“Oh yes, I was told you’d be here. Uh, why are you standing about? You know where to go.”
“Yes of course.” You muttered.
“Also, why don’t you get me some hot coffee. I’ll be in my office. Knock before entering.”
And just like that, he walked off. People seemed to be in awe of him, you couldn’t blame them, so were you.
You hurried down to the cafeteria and got Max his coffee, luckily Anna had shown you how to make it. No sugar, no milk, no cream no nothing.
“Black, like his soul.” Anna’s words came back to you. She chuckled when seeing your fearful face.
“I’m only joking, he isn’t all that bad. Just don’t cross him and by no means be a smart mouth.”
You wondered what she had meant by that, why would anyone want to talk back to Max in the first place?
You timidly knocked on his office door and entered when you heard his authoritative voice permitting you.
“Here’s your coffee Mr.Max.”
He looked amused at you, not in a good way.
“Mr.Max? Honestly are you that nervous, it’s pathetic.”
“So just Max then ?” And there it was. It’s his fault he made you want to talk back.
It was your turn to look amused as he almost choked on his coffee.
“Cat got your tongue, Max?” For God’s sake why couldn’t you stop talking.
“You may call me Mr.Lord or Sir if the former is going to be a struggle for you.”
“I guess we’ll have to see.”
You turned on your heels and made for the door, ready to go stick your head in a hole.
“Were you this much trouble working at that pathetic little cafe ?” He spat back.
“Oh, much more Sir.”

Oh my god your blog is fantastic and has brought me so much joy the past week just reading through everything. ❤️ If you have the time/would like, how do you think some of the characters would react if they accidentally encountered a SoSu who moonlighted as a dancer in Goodneighbor? (Bonus if Maxson’s in there and has to keep his cool around them next time they’re on the Prydwen).
(I'll do this one similar to how I handled another react by writing a short drabble then the react. Thank you so much by the way, I’m happy that my stuff has brought you joy 💖)
What had even brought them to the Third rail was beyond them. Sure, the music was probably the best the wasteland had to offer- lord knows one could only listen to the repetitious tracks Travis played on the radio. The atmosphere was well, okay and the drinks were..eh, even more so okay. Whatever the reason they found theirselves at that place, they soon would be in for a surprise.
Right as the snarky Mister Handy served them their drink, Magnolia announced that she'd be sharing her spotlight with a newcomer. Naturally, all of the patrons, including themselves, would be intrigued and pay attention to that nameless someone.
That was when you showed up.
You, in far too fancy apparel and an unfamiliar lustrous aura about you. A sultry look on your face as you addressed the now rowdy audience, only momentarily pausing when you met your friend's gaze, to which you promptly gave a wink to before shedding your coat and begin to dance with magnolia's music in such a way that rendered onlookers "hot under the collar".
~~
Cait:
“Well ‘ello there, hot stuff..”
The moment Cait saw you flash that little wink her way, she couldn’t help but stare in wonder. So she’ll stay and drink whatever piss Charlie will serve her, just so long as it means she gets to keep watching you swing those hips of your’s. You best better believe if she gets drunk enough, she’s going to try to find a way to get you in bed with her later on.
Curie:
“Oh Madame/Monsieur, you look stunning! Best of luck.”
She’d be so excited for you! Watching you move like that, oh, you looked so happy! Everyone else seemed to enjoy it too, so why couldn’t she? Plus, it was nice seeing something so oddly “pre-war” style. After all, she knows you didn’t get your moves from the raider that tried to shoot at you earlier.
Danse:
“Your show was quite enjoyable, soldier. Uh..keep it up.”
The Paladin would once again be faced with a hard decision to make, ergo yet another internal argument. On one hand, he knew that watching you would put less than professional images in his head and fudge up some future mission...but on the other hand....you were friends anyways right? Right. Friends stay and support each other. Besides, it wasn’t exactly like he didn’t love what he saw.
Deacon:
“No wonder you’re always so limber in fights..ha, just kidding, great job! You killed it.”
Nothing surprises him at this point. I mean, he kinda, sorta knew anyhow. He did begin casing you weeks before you found the railroad. He still likes the show enough o stay and watch, giving you a high five when you come back down from the small stage.
Gage:
“At least you’ve got a hobby....heh.”
At first he thought it was silly as could be. You? Overboss? Dancing? What the hell gotten into you? Been eating the feverblossoms again?
No matter what judgments he might’ve made, they all dissolved into nothingness when he began to actually pay attention to you. His gaze almost unbreakable.
He um..he enjoyed that very much.
Hancock:
“See? Told you this was a good idea! So, can we plan to have you back same time next week?”
He’s the one that suggested the whole gig to you in the first place. Seeing you actually go for it? Oooh, he was excited! You bet your ass he stayed right in his seat, only leaving to get you drink for after your show so he can congratulate you.
Macready:
“Wow, That was flipping awesome. You didn’t even look like you broke a sweat!”
He thinks it’s super cool. How did he never notice you before? Eh, didn’t matter, he does now! He may even find himself blushing just a little when you would give him the look every once in a while through your routine. When asked about it, he’ll make some bullshit excuse that he’s cold or something but in all reality, he just can’t get over how you move.
Maxson:
“So, it would seem you are quite creative with how you chose to spend your off time.”
And....he regrets even leaving the Prydwen. Not enough to leave though, oh no, no matter what ranking you are or what place you hold in his heart, he can’t help but be entranced by you. That being said, when you report in for duty the next morning- there will be an obvious blush on his bearded face as he assigns you new missions. He cannot keep his cool to save his life.
Nick:
“You did excellent out there, kiddo.”
So long as you don’t do anything too risqué, he rather enjoys it! As a matter of fact, he thinks it’s wonderful. The bright costume you put together and the even brighter smile on your face warmed his mechanical heart. You really seemed like you enjoyed what you were doing, and that’s what counts. Now, considering he is a damn good detective and didn’t see this coming is what becomes worrisome for the old synth.
Old Longfellow:
“One hell of a show you put on back there, cap’n. Here, drinks on me this time.”
Dancer? Why didn’t you say something sooner? He thinks it’s pretty neat. While he likes to hunt and so on, there isn’t much more he discovers he likes than the prospect of having a nice stiff drink while he watches you perform. Of course, having a drink ready for you as well.
Piper:
“Oh wow blue, you never stop impressing do you? Now, smile!”
Normally she wasn’t too big of a fan for lingering in bars, but this time she’d certainly make an exception. With your permission, she’ll even take a couple of pictures of you all dolled up for her paper- which ends up bringing you a nice sum of caps. As for her reaction to it, well..she was a blushing mess with a big grin. She’d stay for the entirety of your show, playfully wolf whistling your way when you sauntered on over to her.
Preston:
“You keep doing you, General.”
He’s just happy you were able to find something to get your mind off being the General every once in a while. It may not be a purely innocent gig but who was he to judge? Besides, it clearly brought happiness to people...including himself.
Sturges:
“Think you could go dance like that back at Sanctuary?”
It wasn’t very often that he made a trip to Goodneighbor, but oh boy was he happy he did. Seeing you up on that stage made him feel dizzy, but in the best of ways. He knew you were talented, but this? Wow.
X6-88:
