I feel really on the fence about the Ardat-Yakshi asari.

They didn't ask to be born the way they are and chances are, like Samara says in ME2, the reason "pure-blood" asari are looked down upon is likely in part (or even in full) due to the Ardat-Yakshi being created by two asari- every one of them is a pure-blood.

But again, they didn't ask to be born the way they are. Chances are, the first time they meld and they kill someone, they never have a clue it'll happen. I highly doubt they're all like Morinth, power hungry and violent and vicious.

I think there are plenty who meld and feel nothing but fear. Fear because their families will abandon or exile them or even kill them.

Fear because they are now the greatest monster among their own people.

Fear because everyone will think of them as nothing but monsters. And they can't change their minds.

It's a fundamental flaw and idea in their society, and I honestly think, similarly to real life, the main reason Morinth ended up the way she did is likely because she was treated terribly when the power first developed. And thus, she decided to embrace the monster everyone told her she was.

At the point we meet her, redemption isn't an option. She's a huntress, like many asari, just in a much more hungry and nightmarish way. A true predator.

But I suppose I'm just enjoying playing and figuring out the story myself! Just rambling because I think if the Ardat-Yakshi and other assorted outcast-type characters or groups or other societal things in these games a lot. Very enjoyable!

if a game costs 20 dollars it should be equivalent in quality to 6 undertales. this is perfectly achievable.

if a game costs 40$, it should be equivalent to at least 13 undertales. this is harder to accomplish but well within the power of devs who care.

no game should cost 60$.

#undertale is a very useful metric for game quality i think #for instance: mass effect legendary edition is 9$. that’s equivalent to 3 undertales. just one mass effect game would be worth 3 undertales #and you’re getting all 3. that’s a good price in dollars per undertale.#or lets look at portal. portal is 1 dollar. so is portal 2. that’s the equivalent of 1/3 of an undertale.#but id say portal one IS worth at least 5 maybe 6 undertales. and portal 2 is worth 10 or more undertales.#starfield is 50$. that’s 16 undertales. do you know how many undertales starfield is actually worth? none.#you are now educated in how game pricing works. go out into the world and be prosperous

Ok, so, Mass Effect 2, we need to talk.

I love the story. I love the characters. I love the more in depth relationships. I love that I can buy upgrades for my ship and help my cook get better food (where, btw, do I buy that food..?)

But y’all. Why in all things gaming, did they take away the permanent mini map? What happened to heat sink, why are we using ammo all the sudden? Don’t get me started on the weird end of mission forced out of the planet even though I still got shit I need to do thing. You’re telling me I have no way to compare weapon stats?? Maybe that one is on me, but I’ve looked I can’t figure out how to compare different weapons.

And for the love of all things narrative- Why am I forced into missions??

I feel like the answer has to be boring shooter game bros complained and so they made mass effect more like other shooter games to appease that audience. Which sucks, because I was sooo into the set up in me1. Sure it was clunky and needs improvements, but not overhaul. Me1 stood out. It wasn’t like the old shooter games of its time, it was more.

#i miss my heatsink #also I don’t like how mess the upgrade menu looks now :/#sure the other system was a little annoying #the way you got kicked out of the menu when you added one upgrade despite have two more slots to fill #but at least I knew what was going on #I don’t get that level of customization anymore :/#which again #may I say is so weird?#because now I can customize sheppard- like full customize???#including her clothes and armor!#well kinda her clothes #it’s such a weird mix of some really good mechanical changes and some that feel like they are older than the first game #mass effect #mass effect 2 #mass effect legendary edition

literally the problem with ninjago is that the ninja keep negotiating with terrorists :/

#like every single season they hit a point where they make a deal and get screwed over. except maybe w morro?#EDIT TO ADD: yeah lol they do negotiate w morro and get fucked over. ha #it goes like this: they find a villain and fight it then wu is like oh my legendary enemy and then they're like dear god what could this #villain want this time! then they fight the mooks a few dozen times and someone or maybe a couple get kidnapped and then #someone finds out that the terror the villains plan to wreak is sooooo much worse so they gotta find all the magic artifacts before the #baddies do! and then they do but then they fuck up and then they split up and then the apocalypse starts #but not before the ninja tried to make a deal to get their friends back or smth! then they get double crossed #because they negotiated with terrorists. and then the apocalypse starts and a sexy battle occurs and the vehicles are sooo cool #and it looks like all is lost at least five times until boom someone unlocks a power or regains confidence or WHAT EVER and the baddie gets #banished to a weird place they can totally never come back from! at least for like two seasons :/#SO STOP NEGOTIATING. SKIP THAT STEP BESTIES. JUST STOP IT #remember that you actually know spinjitzu? yeah? well why don't you EVER use it anymore :/#FUCK!!!#god i love this show.#ninjago
