Annie would regret ever asking Ei for guidance regarding the martial arts of the polearm simply because she wanted some self-defense tips. But even if she regretted it earlier, she still would face her lessons head-on.

She just hopes Ei doesn't have too many expectations of her growth as a warrior. Annie's will to fight is pretty tame and she will avoid any actual confrontation in the short run. With Ei being an archon with not only marital prowess and centuries of experience on her side, Annie doesn't have any hopes of actually posing a challenge to Ei during their training or sparring sessions.

Even without the possibility of Annie becoming an outstanding warrior under the Raiden Shogun's tutelage, she could still learn enough from her to incorporate the use of her own vision into any defensive or supporting technique that could come useful in the future. Not to mention it would help Ei get out of her usual mindset to spend some time training with Annie and maybe share some sweets together after.

He lingers at the threshold as Alphinaud and the Warrior of Light both make chase as the pack of monsters close on them.
