Your stories have definitely scratched that Astarion itch that I've had since I started the game!

One thing that's diffently not sat right with me at the end of the game, is how tav and the gang don't run after astarion after he loses his immunity to the sun. I would imagine that if the player character was romantically involved with the guy they would atleast try to shield or comfort the poor guy. A short drabble on that would be awesome!

That's so sad, I heard that's what happens 😭😭 I'm in act 3 and haven't had to see it for myself yet so yes, let's do some preemptive therapy there! And just warning since I haven't beaten the game yet I'm sure this will be inaccurate as fuck, but also with spoilers somehow ~

It was an exhilarating feeling, to win against all odds. One that Astarion had never been confident he would experience. It felt good, final. The official beginning of his new free life, even if it was bittersweet.

This was the bitter part, the end of his illithid protection. The sun was barely peeking over the horizon, and the burn was already starting. He was being an idiot, standing there with the rest of you like he belonged, waiting for the last possible second before he had to scuttle down in the darkness. But he wanted to see this out. Hadn't he earned that right?

According to the laws of reality, no. No he hadn't, because you had barely opened your mouth before the pain started to overwhelm him. The others would be able to hear it, the sickening sound of his skin crackling.

He was out of time. But before he could make a break for it, you happened. Astarion had been a little preoccupied with his impending doom to pay close attention to what you had been mumbling. But then sudden blackness was blanketing above your heads, opaque enough to make it as dark as night.

Astarion's eyes widened as the pain subsided, surprised beyond belief.

You were looking at him with concern in your eyes, gesturing to the think cloud of darkness above your head, "Will this be dark enough? Can it still get through?"

Astarion stared at you, momentarily confused on why you would do something like that. Before he remembered, oh. Yes. The extended care for his well-being was probably included in the whole love thing. Of course. Obviously.

That was definitely going to take some getting used to.

But the reasoning didn't stop an idiotic smile from blooming on his face.

You grinned back at him, somehow still managing to read his mind even without the tadpoles, "Did you really think I would forget about you?"

He had, but through no fault of your own. One of these days he was going to actually remember that he was worth the effort to keep alive.

"Thank you darling," Astarion said, ignoring the quested as he waltzed up to you. He grabbed your hand in his, bringing it up to his lips to kiss, "Just what would I do without you?"

"Speaking of," You turned to the Emperor, a question in your eyes as you vaguely waved upward, "Is there anything we can do about this particular problem?"

"The astral tadpole is still-"

"I'll pass on that, thank you very much," Astarion interrupted, cringing at the very thought of willingly letting another worm into his brain, "But I appreciate the thought."

There were worse things than living his life in darkness. And Astarion was counting becoming a mind flayer in the top three.

He watched, participated even in everyone's final goodbyes, always eyeing you at of the corner of his eye. It's not that he thought you would leave after you both declared your eternal love for each other, but... the two of you hadn't exactly talked about the specifics of the future either.

But that didn't stop you from leaving together. Astarion hadn't expected you to keep the dark cloud above his head as you walked the streets, startling nearly every passerby. But hells, the heroes of Baldur's gate had earned the right to a little strangeness.

You both had decided on going to the nearest, most windowless inn that you could find. Astarion wanted nothing more than to scrub the brain viscera from his skin and sleep for three days. Preferably with you in his arms.

But before all that... he had to know something.

The question was out of him as soon as you both were behind closed doors, "So what happens next to the great hero of Baldur's Gate? I'm sure you have something in mind."

He was just praying those future plans still involved him.

You blinked at him, head cocked like he was asking a silly question, "We go and find you a cure so you can walk in the sun again of course. What else would we do?"

That took Astarion aback, "I-Do you think that's really possible?"

"Well," You started, counting off on your fingers, "We know that illithid powers can do it. As well as devil contacts and ritualistic demon sacrifices. If that's all possible then that means there has to be something else on the other end of the spectrum, right?"

Astarion didn't exactly share your blind confidence. But you did have a point. The two of you had managed so many impossible feats in such a short amount of time. What was one more?

"I suppose there's a chance," Astarion said, hope fluttering in his chest with every word, "And if there is a chance no matter how small, I'm going to take it. But..."

He didn't want to ask, but he needed to know, "Are you sure this is what you want? I would... understand if you wanted to go your own way."

In all honesty, Astarion would not understand. He'd be absolutely furious. Especially after everything you'd been through. This was more of a confirmation for his waning self-confidence than anything else, versus a sincere to desire to let you go your own way. He had no intention of letting you go, not if he could help it.

But his near certainty in your feelings was the only thing that gave him the confidence to ask the question in the first place. And you did not disappoint.

"No, this is what I want," You insisted, reaching out to take his hand in yours, "You're what I want."

That was exactly what Astarion needed to hear. He used your joined hands to tug you closer, face to face.

"Good, because as selfless as I am, I really did not want to let you go," Astarion smiled, leaning in to lightly press a kiss to your lips, "I hope you realize that my love has made me a tad bit obsessed with you my dear."

"I'm sure it's no worse than me," You sighed, resting your forehead against his own, "You've really ruined me for anyone else haven't you?"

Astarion grinned, leaning in for another kiss. He had every intention of making it stay that way, for as long as you would have him.

Ash and Serena, I never thought I would be invested in a love story in Pokémon of all series, but here we are.

INUYASHA, KAGOME AND KIKIYO, fuck anyone and everyone who can adore the former and feel bad for the later girl. The only solace is that as her reincarnation that at least to some extent Kikyo is with Inuyasha. Also Moroha is the best part of Yashahime, hands down without doubt

Their Stupid Smile

Inspired by This Prompt Tav/Durge getting badly wounded protecting Astarion just as he planned, but they’re so covered in blood and guts they’re able to hide it. Until later that night at camp Astarion, attracted by the smell of their blood, finds them out in the clearing nearly passed out trying to patch themselves up Astarion x gn!Tav Rating: General Audience Warning: Mention of blood and wounds but not graphic. Astarion POV

The lingering scent of blood beckoned towards the hills. Astarion followed, led by his ever present hunger towards a midnight snack. He poked his head out, scanning the area before continuing forward. Drawing nearer.

Tav was sitting against a boulder. Hardly a surprise, they were committed to their nightly training regimes. He ignored it.

Though, the promise of a meal pulled him dangerously close towards them. A councidence, surely.

The closer he drew, the less of a coincidence it seemed. Through the grayscale of darkvision, he could see dark splotches on the ground surrounding Tav.

The stench strengthened. His pupils dilated.

Tav kept a hand pressed against their side as blood stained through their clothes. They cursed through gritted teeth, "Shit shit shit shit!"

"You're deep in it, darling," Astarion answered, startling the poor gnome.

They froze like they had been caught in a scandal, "H-heyyyyyy Astarion! Funny seeing you here." As if they weren't bleeding profusely, the idiot grinned, "You uh, come here often?"

Astarion lurched forward, catching them as they slipped towards the ground. Gods above, how much blood had they lost? All this from a training mishap?

No. The bloodied barbs on the ground told another story. It all became clear now.

Amidst a brutal battle against gnolls, with the hills giving the enemy the perfect advantage. Astarion was not fairing well in the crossfire. He hadn't realized the gnoll chief charged at his back with its oversized club.

"Astarion!" Wyll shouted above the feral growls.

Tav leapt between them, slicing their blade cleanly through the gnoll chief, but also taking the full brunt of its attack meant for the party's rogue. They flashed him a smile from over their shoulder, pulling the barbed club out of their side and tossing it to the ground.

"Idiot..." Astarion muttered as he propped Tav against the boulder. They whined through their half-conscious haze, promptly getting shushed.

Strewn about the ground were various medical supplies, likely snatched from Shadowheart's supplies if they were hoping to perpetually conceal their wound. Stubborn little thing.

He grabbed Tav's waterskin and washed the blood away, giving him a better look at the wound. The area was bruised, it was starting to get infected. Tch. They made quite a mess of this, didn't they? He used his dagger to create another, precise, cut-- hoping to wash away the infection.

So much waste. Astarion shook his head with a scrunched nose. Not the time to mourn a lost meal. From the pack of supplies, he pulled a needle and thread, then immediately went to work. Nimble fingers worked quickly, pulling the skin together and sewing them. Not an easy feat when Tav couldn't keep themselves sitting upright. He managed to push his arm against their chest so they would stay up while his other hand sewed, washed, and bandaged the wound closed.

"Alright," the vampire sighed, "that should do it. Time to wake up now."

Silence.

"Tav?"

No movement.

Smack "Wake up!"

Tav jolted awake, breathing heavily but still looking about in a panic.

"I-- wha-- oh--" they stopped stuttering once they looked at Astarion. That stupid doofy grin returned, "Heyyyyyy Astarion, funny seeing you--"

"Did the gnolls bash your head in as well, or were you always this dense? What in the hells were you thinking?!"

Tav's smile dropped as they glanced away. "I didn't want anyone to worry," they answered quietly.

"Hm, and how do you think you did with that quest?"

"You were worried about me?" They smiled again. Their stupid smile.

Astarion pouted. Tutted. "Well, we can't have our fearless-- albeit foolish-- leader die, now can we?"

They let out a strained chuckle before attempting to rise to their feet. Astarion put a firm hand on their shoulder and sat them back down.

"Oh no, you're not going anywhere. Not tonight." He settled himself next to Tav, careful to leave just enough space so he could see how the bandages were fairing, "If those stitches rip, I'll leave you to bleed out."

Tav didn't protest. They leaned against him as he rested an arm along their shoulders. He watched as the gnome relaxed into slumber.

Maybe he was a little worried...

“Careful!” Asta’s hand reached out instinctively, grasping Noelle’s upper arm as she stumbled. “The path here is pretty rough-what was that?”

Noelle had made a noise of surprise, yes- but there was another when he grabbed her. For a moment, he thought he might have accidentally brushed something he shouldn’t, but his fingers were pointed towards him. The water mage could only freeze, face bright red.

“W-Watch it, Dorksta! And let go of me-hehehe!”

“Oh wow! I didn’t know you were ticklish there!” Asta was smiling, a big cheesy one as he gently pressed into her upper arm once more, making her jump and giggle. “I didn’t know people could be ticklish here!”

“Shuhuuhuht uhuhuhuhp! Gehhheheht ohohohoff me, yoohhoohu jeheheherk!” Noelle tried to pull her arm free, but her footing was far too unsteady on the rough path they walked. “Whahaha! Dohoohohn’t leheheht me gohoohoho!”

“Wasn’t going to. Don’t want you to fall and bust your head open.” Asta smiled as he carefully pulled her along, his hand steady and ever so tickly against her arm as they navigated the path. “Come on- I know the way!”

“Yoohohohour itihihihihikling me on puhuhuhuhurpohohouse!” She accused through her breathless giggles, half of her wanting to shove him away while the other half wanted to lean more into him. Her heart said yes and her nervous system said can’t talk right now, being tickled to tears! “Whahhahahy are yoohohohu squeueueuezing iihihihiht?”

“Hm? Oh, my bad.” Asta lightened his touch, easing some of the tickles as they finally found their footing. “There we are, safe and sound.”

“Ugh, you’re so-!” Noelle was about to say something likely mean, but found herself at a loss of words when his hand slid down to hers, grasping it tightly as he continued walking. “I think the path is fine now..”

“I know.” He didn’t look back, sparing her a witness to her blushing face. His own ears seemed a bit red though.

“Dorksta.” She rolled her eyes, unable to fight the growing smile on her lips.

Yuno Grinberryall

Blood was literally spewing from your wounds and Yuno was anxiously holding you in his arms when you just stood up.

"y/n, don't move about too much." he quickly stood up to support you, but you looked at him dead panned in the eye.

"eh? This but a scratch, love."

Yuno looks at you wide eyed. Why is the face you're giving so familiar? Yes. You were just like his best friend, Asta.

He shook his head and sighed. You reached out to your injured arm and gave it a squeeze.

"Ow!!" you squirmed.

"This but a scratch?" it was his turn to give you a deadpanned face now, "stop acting all tough and let me bring you to the doctors now."

Well, he carried you bridal style to the healers, so you weren't complaining.

William Vangeance

William was all anxious and worried for you because your arm was bent in a really weird shape. You probably had broken bones.

"y/n!" he screamed and rushed to your side, "are you okay?!"

But you blinked at him, "I'm.. fine? What's the commotion love?"

"Your arm!" he pointed to your arm that was still bent in a weird angle. He wanted to reach out to caress you but his hands stopped, afraid it would hurt you further.

"eh? but is nothing. It's gonna. get better in a few days," you waved your normal arm at him.

"How is this okay!? I'll bring you to Dr Owen now!"

"I'm really fine, sweetie, I'm still young and my bones are strong~"

William gave you a stern and serious face. Even his eyes darkened in tone, "No. We're going. Now."

His aura sent goosebumps down your spine so you had to comply, and the moment you agreed, William was back to his smiley self again.

He carried you gently to Dr Owen's office.

Fuegoleon Vermillion

"Honey! oh my god, someone get help!" he shouted at his members. He tore his robe and held it onto your thighs that were sliced open, "you'll be okay honey! Help is on the way!"

"Eh? I'm okay darling, stop panicking in front of your members." you raised a brow.

"You're okay?" he looked at his robe that was now a maroon colour, "how is this okay?"

"This but a scratch darling, I'm totally fine," you beamed at him, "I can even walk!"

"No!" he exclaimed when you tried to stand, "how are you not feeling pain from such a deep wound!"

"It's not painful at all, love!" you assured him.

"No!" he insisted, "just get it checked, okay? The healers are coming, just wait!"

"Oh Fue, you're making a fuss out of nothing..." your lips pressed into a thin line but still sat and wait so that your husband wouldn't go crazy worrying for you.

"And you're always disregarding things that are serious!" he chided you, "what if you injure yourself more or if it gets infected when you don't treat it?"

You could never win against your through hubby when it came to your well being.
