Aspec headcanons under the cut:

He's asexual, and sex-favourable but it fluctuates. He enjoys it for the game, the puzzle of seducing someone and making them feel the things he wants them to feel. It also gives him an ego boost, knowing that he's attractive, and he's wanted. However, he would much rather hold someone in his arms and ask them riddles, although barely anyone wants to do that with him

He's quoiromantic. He has quite low empathy, but if he starts caring about someone then he can get quite empathetic towards them. This combination of caring about someone, and needing to feel loved, makes it hard to distinguish attraction. He's arospec - it's less a feeling of attraction, and more wanting to keep the people who validate him, and feeling fond of them. He also feels a great admiration and want to be close with people who he considers his intellectual equal (ie: Batman. These feelings are definitely not mutual).

He's bi. He's willing to have sex with and date any gender, and he's bi when it comes to tertiary attractions. Strong sensual attraction is combined with him being touch-starved and desperate for physical affection, so if he trusts someone he can be very cuddly. He'll also be physically affectionate with people he knows has feelings for him. He had a squish (platonic crush) on Query and Echo when he first met them (and aesthetic attraction, they're really cool)

So, I was watching "Cool Doji Danshi: Bokura no Koibana" yesterday…

… and I can't help but think about them as a bunch of aspec guys who still have no idea about what being Aro and/or Ace means.

I mean, as a headcanon, of course; it's very unlikely this was the original intention.

I'll give a scene as a little example:

If this don't look like the "oblivious aspec help group", I don't know what else it'd look like!

But it's not just because this scene, is the whole special, if at least they said they wanted someone but it never worked out, I'd think: "yes, it's just about being clumsy and unaware of signs". But no. Not even a "I wanted to have a romance with someone so bad!"

Please tell me I'm not alone in this headcanon!

Edit: they are loosing the opportunity of putting each of them as a different flavor of aspec. Fr.

Aspec character headcanon I keep clinging onto despite all evidence to the contrary:

The Penguin, specifically in Batman '66. There's the pair of episodes (the first one is called "The Penguin Goes Straight) where he seduces a woman and gets a "wedding" just so he can steal all the presents/. When he gets caught, the woman loves him and offers to still do the romance or something. He practically begs to go to prison.

I headcanon him as aroace (aro due to his behaviour in the aforementioned episode, ace because he wears black, white and purple) (plus as a dapper bird-lover I project onto him a lot)

Also, I think there's strong evidence for Riddler in the Arkham games being aroallo. In Arkham Knight, one of his voice recordings has him talking about how he doesn't understand Batman and Catwoman's love (aro vibes) and in Arkham Origins when you get into his hideout he's got a calendar where the images are hot women. Also, most Riddler designs wear green and purple, but in Arkham Knight he just has green which I'm choosing to interpret as aroallo vibes. In general DC media I headcanon him as quoiromantic (a: because he was my quoiromantic awakening and b: his outfits are covered in question marks. He's definitely quoi to me)

I headcanon quite a lot of DC characters as aspec but these are the ones that have a bit of canon basis (even though some of them are just small things that don't apply in other DC media)
