Little rant that I promise has a point:

I stopped watching Stranger Things halfway through season 3... I tried TWICE to continue watching it but somehow I just lost interest, like, I love Robin and Steve and Dustin and Hopper and the whole gang and the plot was interesting, but I just wasn't in the mood to keep watching it so I didn't.. I have a pretty good idea of what happens though (thank you random bloggers who post the plot through gifs and edits, you are the backbone of fandoms and the reason I know lots of things about lots of fandoms).

Anyway, so, I didn't see any eps with Eddie, like, cero. I know who he is, what he does, his ending... So when I started seeing Steddie as a ship I was like, yeah they look cute together ngl, next.

And it's been like that for some time now, until recently when you started reblogging tons of steddie things that my interest was picked, so I started reading some of the ffs you reblog and loving some fanarts...

And what can I say, I'm a hardcore shipper now, you turned me into a Steddie shipper hahahah I am motivated to watch the rest of the show just to meet Eddie and see firsthand his interactions with Steve and the gang.

So thank you I guess 😂 and if anyone ever tells you that you reblog too much about x topic or whatever just know that you reblogs made me ship them so yeah, keep up the great work hahaha

I cannot tell you how excited that makes me. And how much relief I feel that my reblogging all this Steddie and ST content has reached someone I follow <3 because I do worry xD I can't help it. I've been working on a very long dual-story fic for Steddie the past two months and reblogging all the other wonderful content here is the only way I've been able to scream about the ship. There is some serious A-Game writers and artists that are focused on them, there's a lot to enjoy for something that's only been a thing for like a year.

But thank you so much for telling me all of this 😭💕 I love hearing that I've converted people, it's such a badge of pride for me no matter the fandom. C: Season 04 is a _trip_ and I really enjoyed watching it even the first time through last year, so I hope you enjoy it just as much! (It's also kind of nice that you already know how it ends for Eddie, so there's no surprises, but tbh I have a lot of theories about that and what is going to happen in season 05 so... clown nose and shoes activated).

hello! it's definitely somewhere in the depths of this blog but i will answer again anyway!

i think brazil is the perfect mix of james and regulus. São Paulo is one of the art capitals of the world and for good reason. also i know regulus would love the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and drag james there every chance he got. but it's also got the outdoor adventurous activities for james. with both extremes of the mountains and the oceans for him to explore. and it's got the most beautiful sunshine there and everyone i've ever met from brazil has been just The Most lovely and kind and welcoming. and i just wanted a soft and kind landing for james. after everything. somewhere warm where the birds sing. and to me, that was brazil.

brazil was always james' dream first, independent of regulus. but then it quickly expanded to include regulus, and that was fine because brazil was a good fit for both of them!

arthur is shook™️ (edit: see pic above ^ as proof) by this gentle giant who can crush him. so i am 100% a firm believer that after the first time picked up arthur, he was all for it. and yeah, it was just so she could keep him close, but when she places him back down he is floored.

So like its so weird to see how timid young people are to take charge. Like, Im aware I was similar back then, but seeing it now just has this weird sort of dissonance to it.

Idk how to explain it but... In my one college class we have a prof that loves group projects (Which i get, the major for this class involves a lot of group jobs) So were given tasks and told as a class to work together. So everyone gets up.... and starts individually working. And Im like... Ok if someone dosnt take charge here were all going to be doing twice the work and theres going to be a ton of mistakes. So I start by letting people know what I'm dong first- communication opens communication or something like that- so im like "Ok Im gonna set up all the trays so we have the right amount!" and Im a loud ass bitch so everyone can hear me!

Still nothing, no ones talking, but theyre listening! Because they started on the next task while Im making sure we have everything! And then Im like, "Guys Im gonna write out the labels for everything and put them with the subjects so just come up and gab them when youre ready!" and! finally someones also talking and communicating what theyre doing so yay!

and then comes the fun part, because people know Im willing to work together so I get all the questions. Some of them I can answer but any question I cant my loud ass instantly looks for the prof and asks it for them. And Now I'm helping people set up their stuff and making sure everyone's doing things right because its just so easy to fall into this role and I hate taking up the leadership role cause Im LAZY but also I want to make sure everything runs smoothly so theres no choice.

thinking about this 85 year old customer we had that came in. the cashier said she looked good for her age and she said something along the lines of “Thank you. I’ve got all these wrinkles and I deserve ‘em’!” in the most enthusiastic tone.

she said that she thought skin care and anti-wrinkle products were ridiculous and that our skin is our history of where we’ve been. i cant remember what she said word for word but i know whatever she said brought me comfort.

9. what's your writing process like?

I outline like a mad-person. Whatever inspired me (usually a song or trope or scene in my head) I build my outline around that, so I get a full three act structure. If it's a multi-chapter (which is like 99% of the time) I then in-depth outline each chapter as I go. Like old school English class roman numeral outline. But I do the in-depth outlines as I'm writing so the story can evolve and change as I'm actually writing it. The main points stay the same, it's the in-betweens and themes and recurring bits that aren't planned, they tend to grow on their own. I keep the outlines and notes all in a notebook that I hand write, because my ADD can get the better of me when I type and writing by hand makes me have to draw out the ideas more thoughtfully. But the actual fic is typed up. I also only get to write during my kids' naptimes and when they are asleep at night/early morning.

15. How do you think your writing has improved over time?

I feel like I've found my own voice and the themes I gravitate towards, and I also have lost a lot of fear in what I'm writing and how it will be perceived. Sometimes my fics are popular, and sometimes no one cares at all that I updated, so I've always made sure that my fics are things that I want to read myself. There's a chance I might be one of like four people that do. Because of that, I like to think I've improved how I write and how the story reads, so it keeps someone engaged and entertained even if they know what's about to happen. I'm also constantly trying to up my game, make it read more professionally or be more intriguing, and I'm always learning new things that I do and new boundaries to set. If fic has taught me one thing, it's that there is never a mistake so bad that it can't be fixed. ;)

just a happy lil rant

#today I denfended my master's thesis and passed with distinction #which is a huge relief and I'm so damn happy #but what made me even happier was that so many people from both my current and previous lab teams showed up??? #it was the sweetest thing and I hadn't expected it at all #especially cause I changed topics quite drastically so this was really out of my old teams comfort zone #like I was just so damn touched and then one of my current supervisors gave me this amazing feedback! #and even asked me for my code (for some light bioinformatics) to 'learn something'!!!!!! #because he recognized how damn much I improved in my coding and it's not his main topic #but he was really interested in it! #And my main supervisor loved my presentation and just immediately got some of the more subtle design choices I made #This has given me insane amounts of anxiety and up until half an hour before I really wasn't sure whether I could bring myself to go there #and then it turned out to be a kind of lovely experience #I still have a bit of work to do but I'm like 98% done with my degree now #which feels so incredible. Like I've been through it in this time but I learned so so much #and the amount of support I got today with so many people showing up and many friends and family texting me. #I'm really really happy and touched #and also tired and hungry so I gotta take care of that soon. lol. #to delete later

For once, I'm actually doing what I said I'd do in a timely manner.

So this will be jacket post part two: electric boogaloo, bc I didn't want the other one to get too long.

Anyway so yesterday I finished all the sewing (you'll see what I mean) and on Wednesday I finished the painting at Maxi's place (who btw came over and helped me finish my uni stuff so everybody go thank Maxi bc otherwise I'd still be sitting here crying over my shitty printer.... anyways)

Let's get to it

Here we have the front of the jacket (I'll show the collar area in more detail in a sec). On the right pocket I added my LOTSAD pin (yes, I still think the abbreviation is funny), originally I wanted to put the Blind Channel one there but then I realized 'sewing inside of a pocket sucks ass, as does sewing through two layers of jean fabric at once', so here we are. The sewing doesn't look very clean but fuck it (it's just rock'n'roll, okay I'll shut up). Maxi told me 'It would've looked better if you had cross stitched it' to which i replied 'Honey, I'm just glad that it's on there'. Anywho underneath the ghost, between the buttons I added the word(s) 'care fully' (which can be read as one or two words and I kinda like that. It's a Mitski reference but also I just love playing with language).

Here we have the LOTSAD pin (and shitty sewing job) in more detail and as you can see I finally added the GIANTS pin above the Get Up coward.

The Joonas smiley got some company. Tbh sewing the beads on like this was so much easier than trying to sew on the pins.

More beads!!! I decided to make the rays two-colored bc why not? And I know the bead placement is a bit on the nose, but eh who cares? Also I added the birds last minute bc freedom and the sea and all that (in my heart they're evil lil seagulls).

(This is nothing new but I just wanted to show it to y'all colored in)

From bottom to top: The knife (!!) is finally colored in and I couldn't be happier. Imagine walking by someone and then boom KNIFE!! (I hope you can tell how much I love this stupid bloody knife). Above this I added one of my favourite songs off of the new album. But yeah it has a star in the middle, bc they're burning (again lost an arm and a leg on the creativity). And you might notice that these beads are different, and that's bc I did this arrangement at home, where I had a greater variety available :)

My favourite part of the jacket, still. It's so simple and yet it just works. Again, I know that you've seen this before but I just wanted to show it outlined and coloured in :)

Now for the back:

Top to bottom: since my collar is usually down, I put the Watching Over Me mainly here for myself, but it's for good reason. This lyric really means a lot to me on a personal level and it's from the first MCR song I ever listened to (so it's double special), so no one but me (and you guys now haha) has to see it or know it's there, but I still wanted it to be included. Secondly: the Bad Idea back piece is done!!! Yaay!! And the roses don't look like colored in 8s anymore (double yay!!). I'll admit it looks pretty edgy (what about this jacket doesn't) but I really enjoyed painting it. I think I might have also done it out of spite for my 9th grade English teacher, who, after I had done a presentation abt MCR, told me:"Nice presentation. But Anna, all that blood and gore? Is that really necessary?" Yes, yes it is ma'am.

Lastly: the rest of the back. Yeah I kinda just went ham with the beads and pins, but it was fun (for the most part). Bottom to top: The 747 is finally colored in, bc of its position it's kinda reminiscent of an incomplete license plate but if you knew my history with this number, you'd agree that it makes this just that much more fitting.

Above it the Blind Channel beads, kind of as a summary of everything above them.

Then we have Balboa (why is there a heart bead? Bc Maxi had some lying around and I thought it looked pretty). I really like this song and I would give a lot for that skeleton Breakdowns for Breakfast t-shirt.

Above Balboa we have a part of glory for the greedy. No deeper reason for why it's here just 'mwah'. This was the first bead arrangement I sewed on btw and lemme tell you it was a struggle.

Talking about struggle we have the Don't Fix Me pin arrangement that made me want to throw myself into a river. I struggled so much with this but I ended up really liking it. Pink + edgy??? Fuck yeah, that's what I live for. I know the song itself is not everyone's favourite, but I've been listening to it on repeat ever since it came out so lol

Lastly we have the Left To Die beads (yes alive or only burning, again, that song has been living in my head rent free ever since I first listened to the album and not just bc of the jupiter line haha). When I first heard the chorus I was like 'huh' and then i thought about it some more and I was like 'hUH?!?', anywho needless to say this lyric hits me every single time (:

Soooo.... that's the jacket. Edgy, wonky and with a certain.... diy-charm.

Bonus: The diy saftey pin necklace (by me) and saftey pin earrings (by Maxi), that I'll probs wear at the concert. Alongside a Revenge bracelet that I wanted to sew onto the jacket but sadly didn't know where to put.
