So, I definitely on the boat of Godot gets a chance to reevaluate his life during his prison time lol, and like I said before, I think he should open his own coffee shop

I think that he should also get to like actually have someone to talk about his trauma with? Because he went through a lot y'know? So I think him and Iris might get along well and bond over their shared trauma around Dahlia.

So I think that maybe he sorta takes her under his wing as like a little sister/cousin part. He lets her work at the coffee shop and enjoys showing her the ropes of making a good cup of joe and all that!

I think he should get the chance to still be a part of the Fey family when he was so intertwined with them through Mia in the first place. And him befriending Iris gives him a good stepping point to maybe even become close with Maya and Pearls as well, and maybe even give them the benefit of sharing stories about his time with Mia when they both worked together

I'm just a sucker for found family though lol

I like both but usually to relax, I write instead! It’s usually I have like, a burst of energy to draw and I do that, then I swap to my main laptop and I write for a bit instead! It might sound weird but it just feels nice to like, write after so long of going back and forth with drawing!

🎁 Do you prefer drawing fandom stuff or your own characters? 

I like doing both but recently I haven’t been able to draw much oc art. I think it’s because I need better, up-to-date refs, but I did have some oc asks for the art meme so I’m excited to do those!

🐻 Your go-to things to draw when you need comfort?

Mostly dumb meme art, it’s so much fun and doesn’t carry massive expectations. Though recently Beemus has become the bain of my existence and my friend @whataboutcare uses it whenever I’m being a little shit TTvTT

But yeah, doodles ands sometimes OC or AU art are really my go-to’s even if I don’t post every single one!

I saw @noyin 's chain (right here) as for why people are starting to leave the Sanders Sides Fandom more than usual and I 100% agree with everything everyone added to that chain (long breaks between content, hostility, racism, anti semitism, "pUrEsT fAnDoM", etc.) and I was gonna add my own additions but I decided to make my own post about it instead as to why I personally left cause I don't feel I gave a full explanation.

There's no particular big bad reason but I look back and feel there's just some things I need to address with my own personal experience.

Reason one: Lost interest

This is the reason I put out there the most and I feel played a large role into it. I came back to the fandom during quarantine which played a huge role as to why I ever even came back. I made my first AU ever and people enjoyed it (@askdarksidelogan ). I used art to destress and 2020 was extremely stressful so I pumped out content pretty much daily. Then I fell into an art block with my emotionally abusive mother moving in, then forest fires in Oregon and California, it all just went apart from there. I switched my focus onto my OCs (as they are a huge comfort and it was just one thing after another) and then the rest is history.

Reason two: Eggshells

In the desperation the fandom has to preserve its "pure wholesome nothing-wrong-happens-here" badge it wears to hide all the toxicity, there's a demand to make sure everyone is happy. The focus gets shifted to surface level things and not the deep rooted things such as the racism, ableism and anti-semitism. The fandom has become some big expectation to cater towards everyone as apposed to making people cater their own experience (I'll address that more in the adult part). It's gotten to a point where people are speaking FOR people as apposed to WITH them or helping amplify their voices. The wrong people and things are being called out and that causes content creators to stand still to avoid stepping on any shells while the expectation for us is just brought higher and higher putting more eggs for us to possibly step on. It's emotionally draining and terrifying. I can't explain how many panic attacks I had over someone simply pointing out a flaw of something I did because I was terrified it would be blown out of proportion. Please start LISTENING to people as apposed to speaking for them. Let the people affected by these things say if there's something wrong (unless it's painfully obviously wrong of course). Let THEM accept and deny apologize and show your support by standing with them and helping AMPLIFY their voices. Not speak for them.

Reason three: Adults in the Fandom and Tagging

Turning back to catering your experience and high expectations: there's been a strange expectation for adults in the fandom to parent the children in the fandom. This also links back to the "pure wholesome nothing-wrong-happens-here" badge but: adults who tag their content as adult content are not responsible for minors seeing their content. They are not people's parents and they are not responsible for what children see. Luckily I left the fandom before I was 18 for too long. And a little note to take with a grain of salt: tagging is a nicety not a necessity. Do I think adult content and other content as such always needs to be tagged? Yes, that's where the grain of salt comes in. But when it comes to other things, at the end of the day, it's their page. Yes it's the right thing to do if someone asks you politely to tag something triggering like unsympathetic sides or negativity towards a character but that doesn't necessarily mean they have to. If you don't like that, then block them so you don't see their content. You're a stranger online, all you can do is inform people and hope they use that information to better themselves.

Reason four: BLM

First things first: I fully support the BLM movement and I think human rights shouldn't be an opinion. If you "don't support it" unkindly get the hell off my page. Now here's where the badge gets taken off and you can fully see how toxic the fandom is. As a white content creator, it was hard for me to find the racism in the fandom because the fandom shut down POCs speaking up about it to a point where I couldn't necessarily find it when first getting back into the fandom. That's when the BLM took an uprise and Thomas showed his support for POCs. It was heart breaking to see so many people within the fandom say they don't support the movement and I can only imagine what it's like to be a POC and having to have dealt with this treatment by the fandom and also see so many people not support you. After that point I tried to keep my eye out for the many other things people spoke up about with ableism and anti-semitism and such. This is one of the main reasons I decided to leave. It's disheartening to know the fandom would rather preserve its badge than address the issues within the fandom to truly make sure people are comfortable. And the truth is those issues are always going to be there. There's always going to be those fucked up people. The badge is a participation award for doing the bare minimum to be a LGBTQ+ friendly community and had since called it a day to the rest of the problems.

This isn't me saying I hate the fandom and never enjoyed my experience here. I absolutely did. You all helped my art gain traction I could only dream of and I may return some say to finish @askdarksidelogan but there's just some major flaws within the fandom that really need to stop being over looked and reflected on. Every fandom has its ups and down, and this fandom just needs to accept it's not what it used to be. Just because one youtuber who made a video usually commenting on how toxic other fandoms are said this fandom wasn't toxic five years ago doesn't mean we don't have any flaws. Give up the badge and go join the other fandoms.

Tl:Dr; I lost interest but I also: was sick of the impossible expectation for being both a content creator and didn't want to face the expectation for also being an adult, as well as got sick of the desperation to hide the racism, ableism and anti-semitism all to keep a participation award every fandom gets for it's one particular perk. But the fandom will hold a special place in my heart.
