I wanna see the spidersonas 👉👈
There's waaaaaay too many to cover in a single post. A sizable chunk of them can be seen through @thespidersweb, which is sort of the public face of a very large spidersona discord server. You can find an invite in the pinned message of that one.
I myself don't do spidersonas per se, I have an AU Peter Parker and a few other one-off spidery characters. Some of my friends have spidersonas, though, and they have in-character blogs like @ask-crimson-weaver, @ask-anarky, @ask-the-goldengate-spider, and @ask-spiderglass. Among others. I highly recommend looking at all of them!

Hey Toby,
I just wanted to say you're real enough and human enough to me and I don't just mean that as a double entendre. There's a lot of weird shit in the multiverse. 99918 exists as something resembling a movie- going so far as to affect how I can speak outside of my own verse.
But I promise you the rules of your earth does not detract from your humanity xxx

Thank you, Xan.. it really means a lot to mean.
I’m in a better state of mind from yesterday. I’m not sure what set me off, I can’t just point to just one thing. I just.. felt so paranoid/afraid out of nowhere.

📠 Can you hold down a regular job/education on top of heroing?
Sort of? The past few years have made things... pretty complicated, suffice to say. Let me explain:
When I first started hero-ing, I didn't have too much trouble keeping up with my classes-- I admittedly already had a bad habit of putting stuff off until the last minute (yet still making it through alright), so the hero stuff mostly just slotted into the space that was already there. The only major shake-up I had through my college years was after the evil me from 42711r dropped in and decided to rip my Shard and soul out of my body. Let's just say... my body didn't really take the rough separation all that well, so even after I made it back to my body, it took longer to heal than most of my usual combat injuries. Ended up staying in the Avengers' med wing for a solid month, and between physical therapy and the general healing process... well, it was kinda hard to keep up with my classes. I ended up dropping half of them to avoid stressing myself out, and took an extra semester the next year to make up those credits. So I guess, aside from that bit of re-shuffling, the education side of things was pretty stable.
The job side of things, though... let's just say it's had quite a few roadblocks.
By the time I got out of college and started looking around for work, I'd been dealing with an existential case of writer's block-- I'd been living with a shattered soul for well over six months (though that's a story for another time), and though it was functionally doing its job, my creative drive was just... broken. So I ended up settling for doing some freelance editing between all the hero stuff... which, in of itself, got interrupted after what those amber shards from Itzi's blade did to me. Wasn't able to bring myself to do much of anything for a while after that.
But now my soul's been fixed up, and though I'm still mainly doing freelance jobs at the moment (which, since I'm the one scheduling my own time, makes it easier to fit in between hero stuff), I'm considering whether or not I should try to get a job... well, somewhere. Not sure where exactly yet, but... I dunno. Over the past year, I've sort of realized just how much of my life is wrapped up in hero-related stuff, and Strawberry has told me that getting some sort of hobby or job outside of that sphere might help with balancing out my life a bit. So who knows? Maybe whatever job I go for will help me on that end of things.

6. A turning point in their life
There have been...so many turning points in my life. It feels like my life is a constant stream of turning points, never letting me rest, never giving me time to develop a status quo. Consistency is not a common trait in a vigilante’s life.
I suppose we should go with the turning point, though. The one that enabled all the others.
I got my ticket to the first (and last) ever OsCorp Expo from my 9th grade science teacher. She promised a free ticket to anyone who could get 100% on the first semester’s final exam, which I think motivated me and maybe two other students. Of course I made the cut like the good little nerd I was, so that Saturday Uncle Ben drove me across the Queensboro bridge and to OsCorp Tower. Because that company was too cheap to rent out the actual expo center in Brooklyn. This, of course, would blow up in their faces.
I only got the one ticket and they were too expensive to buy another, so Ben dropped me off and I found myself alone in the crowd of people attending the Expo. I kept to the edges, being an anxious kid, and listened to this explanation of a prototype alloy or that lecture on advances in bioengineering. I remember enjoying myself a lot. But about midway through a lecture on transgenic medicine the scientist who'd been giving the lecture was abruptly called away for some urgent whispering.
I was a nosy bastard of a kid. It was a trait that would go on to serve me well. As the scientist had someone else take over and hurried down a hallway, I followed out of curiosity.
This prompt asks for my memory of that day. So I won’t go into detail about what I learned later. I could; I could talk about the Oz virus and OsCorp’s experiments with it for hours if I had a need to. I could describe the exact procedure of the experiments with cloned spiders, six species combined into one and irradiated. I could speculate on why their servers crashed and compromised the containment procedures on their specimens, and how some schmuck’s carelessness allowed the smallest of the small to give them the slip. But all that is stuff I learned later, through interviews, extensive research, and no small amount of theft.
All I knew on the day it happened was that, as the scientist typed a keycode into a door and disappeared into the lab beyond, I was watching from around the corner when the hand I’d been touching the wall with suddenly felt a tiny pinch. When I flinched and looked at my hand, all I found was a pair of red marks like twin pinpricks.
The rest of that day sort of passes by in a blur in my mind. I met Gwen Stacy for the first time, which wouldn’t become important for like two weeks, and I caught my first ever glimpse of Norman Osborn and Otto Octavius, two men who continue to plague my psyche to this day. But as important as both of those developments were, they take a backseat to the way my health steadily worsened over the next few hours, my whole arm began to ache, that point on the base of my thumb swelled to the size of a golf ball, and the blood vessels of that hand started turning black. I didn’t share any of this with Uncle Ben when he picked me up--too lethargic and nauseous to talk, and anyway I doubted our health insurance would cover whatever was happening--but I pretty much passed out the second we were home, and all I remember of that night are a few brief moments of bone-cracking, muscle-screaming, nerves-on-fire agony.
The next day was the first day of the rest of my life. After suffering through a whole morning of sticky hands, watching everything around me move in slow-mo, breaking almost everything I touched, feeling every movement around me like a hurricane on my skin, and being buffeted by a tingling anxiety that ebbed and flowed like the sea, I found the corpse of an unusual-looking spider on my arm. And I started to figure out what had happened to me, and what I was now.

Send in 👁‍🗨 for my Muse’s First Impression Of Yours “I think we met briefly back when I wasn’t quite.. myself. But then it was the end of the whole.. thing with my universe. So I’ll admit i was a bit distracted, but you seemed nice! Friendly, pretty empathetic of the whole thing. A little friendlier than I would have been with a stranger though, so that was a little wierd. Mostly good things though I promise Xee”

Hi!!!! Uhm!! Are people allowed to send you gifts and stuff :D?? Also I hope you're doing well!
- Glow
Hmmmmm, depends on what you’re planning on sending to me, Glow. Also depends on how much I’m willing to trust gifts from strangers. I’m more willing to get gifts from other Doc Ocks but I’m not totally against getting gifts from others such as @ask-the-goldengate-spider or my spider. You, I’m not entirely sure, but I will consider it at the very least.
Do you have a blog on here?

6. What bad habits do they have? + 7. What makes them laugh out loud?
Already answered 6, so I’ll skip to 7!
This is going to sound a bit basic but I’m a bit of a sucker for silly cat videos/images! One of my favorite silly cats is Mac n Cheese from @ask-the-goldengate-spider ! Mr. Cheese such a silly little sweetheart and there is elevator music playing in his brain. I love him so much, I’m even considering getting a cat thanks to him!

- What is the dumbest thing you have ever done to impress someone? Were they impressed or was it all for naught?
The dumbest thing? Well… towards the end of my freshman year in college, Stan’s Rollercade got a new arcade machine, and I told Hannah that I was going to get the new high score for it no matter what. Three hours, and a lot of tokens later… no dice. Felt like I’d made a fool of myself, but Han played it cool, so we just went upstairs and got pizza as a consolation prize.
I’ve gone back to that game a few times over the years-- I suppose it’s not surprising that superpowered reflexes can give you a bit of an advantage for arcade activities.

The color it most feels like to be loved by you
Gray:
It's not easy to be loved by you, you can be a tough pill to swallow sometimes. You do care about your loves, but it's hard for you to show it. It's easy for you to break hearts, and that can scare your loves. Sometimes your love isn't a good enough reason for people to stick around, but that doesn't really bother you all that much. I really hope that you find the person who sees your love and thinks "that's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen".

Is your oc more likely to follow instructions exactly, throw them out and figure it out on their own, or make it all up? What are the results like?
All three.
Superheroing doesn’t have instruction manuals except for the ones I write for alternate-universe Spiders, usually on this very blog. So there I’m forced to make shit up and write down what works and (more often) doesn’t.
For when I’m doing well-documented engineering work, I follow the instructions. Because I don’t wanna break shit that I’ll have to replace later, and if it’s already been figured out there’s no reason to blaze the trail myself.
For everything else--photography, chemistry, cooking, taxes--I throw the instructions out and figure things out on my own. Technological innovation? I’m figuring it out myself. How to take decent photos? I looked up how the hell f-stops worked, and then worked out the rest. Cooking? No recipe, ever, contains enough garlic.
