Okay, but since we were robbed of a solstice run audio, I feel like we should talk about it
I mean, let's be honest, Darlin' probably wouldn't end up going that year. Mainly because they were still trying to integrate, but also because they probably didn't wanna leave Sam
BUT BUT I like to imagine that they end up going next year, but not by their own will (kinda)
Asher probably begged, like puppy dog eyes and all. But they weren't budging, UNTIL Sam comes up and says something about how it'll be good for them, and how they should go.
And Darlin', being hopelessly in love with Sam, ends up going.
Which they later regret, because Asher and Milo are bullying them the whole time about being so DOWN BAD for Sam.
LIKE THE WHOLE TIME
AND AND ASHER IS MOCKING SAMS ACCENT AGAIN
Thank you for coming to my tedtalk 🥰

Trust your struggle | Zain Asher
Trust your struggle | Zain Asher
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BT2XlI8oeh0 This is a Tedtalk about Zain Asher who is a news anchor at CNN International. She talks about her life growing up and how she was able to reach where it is that she is today. She talks about some lessons that she has learned and it truly does put an interesting perspective on things.
Zain is an anchor at CNN International and she has her dream job.
She used to think that working hard would get here where she needs to go but shes come to realize that it’s more than just hard work
Worst day her of life: Her father and brother got in a car accident
She was raised by a single mother and her mother felt that in order to make it in life, you have to be able to relate to people from all paths of life. So her mother sent her to school in Nigeria, state school in a poor neighborhood, boarding school, and a private school
Her mom wanted her to get into oxford. In order to make this happen, she banned Zain from watching TV for 18 months. Soon it expanded to no phone, no cable, no music, etc. There was nothing to do was study. Her mother said that the only way she would ever been able to watch television again was for Zain to get into Oxford. It worked.
She didn't have the easiest childhood, but she loved every minute of it because it prepared her for real life.
The first thing she believes is to “Trust your struggle” You need to have faith that it will all end up being for the greater good.
So 4 years ago she was a receptionist and no matter how hard she worked, she never got promoted. Instead they started looking externally for people. So she asked herself, “what do you really want to do?”
She had always been passionate about broadcast journalism. So, she called up a company in New York and asked what she needed to do and was basically denied because she had no experience as a reporter. Her british accent didn't make it any easier for her either. But she decided she wasn't going to take no for an answer.
So she paid her roommate to take videos of her being a reporter in Los Angeles. She put together this tape and sent it out but was still not receiving anything.
At this point, the recession hit, she was laid off and she had no money. So she moved to New York. There was this one company that she was really counting on and they saw her work and the tape she created despite not having any experience and actually hired her on the spot.
This is why she says to Trust your struggle. Because of this story right here.
The second thing she believes is not to believe in competition.
You are told to be competitive but she believes in creating for what she wants, not competing it.
There are advantages to looking at others but to compare yourself and worry about being upped can actually hold you back.
So when she was interviewing for a position at CNN and was sitting with her “competition,” she actually was sitting there helping her so that the other girl had just as good of a chance as she did. She told her what to prepare for after she went in first and helped her.
The third thing she believes is to give The more you give, the more you receive She learned this from a corporate CEO from this firm whose first job was actually at a hooters.
She never knew what it felt like to have money and she still doesn't because she gives most of her money away. A lot of times people say that you need to have a brand and need to compete with your competition, but the moral of her story was that the more you give, the more your receive. But Zain doesn't believe in giving just to receive. You need to give because you want to give. Not just to receive.
The last thing she believes is a phrase that is a cliche. That “success comes when opportunity meets preparation”
And now she has realized how true it is
She had wanted to work her way up from CNN Local new all the way up to CNN International  and once thing that she was able to notice by looking at others was that it was crucial for her to have a specialty. Something that she could do better than others.
So she started to teach herself business news and studied it because it was something she was interested in. She did that for a few years and by pure chance, she met an executive and asked him what he was looking for. He was looking for a business new reporter. He gave her a screen test and gave her two weeks to prepare for these tests. But she had been preparing for years even before she knew of this. She prepared well before she got that call. The hardships that you go through will somehow benefit you in some way down the line but that you have to be prepared before opportunities even come, you just have to be ready.

JUNIE BEE NAILS
During this week Teyana Taylor had her opening of Junie Bee nails on 2330 Broadway in Harlem. Celebrities like Missy Elliot and LL Cool J were in attendance for the grand opening. The nail salon is named after her two year old daughter. Junie Bee nails is a 90's themed attraction from the music to the art on the walls. Teyana opened this shop with her partner Coca Michelle who has been doing nails since she was six years old. You can get a classic airbrush or a natural gel, anything is possible!
NYFW RECAP
This was by far my favorite show this year not only because Erykah Badu was his muse but because it was more then a fashion show. Pyer Moss had a Iive Gospel Choir performing Classic songs and Trap music along to the models, it gave a depth to the looks that was unexpected.

ITEM OF THE WEEK
Thanks to Alexander Wang and his NYFW show I think it is appropriate to make these hair accessories the item of the week! Is anyone else a fan on the claw clip? For me it is super easy and quick ! Check out a few that I found below.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1518806456503?cb=' + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');
ZAIN ASHER- TRUST YOUR STRUGGLE
As the week approaches look at the struggle in the office or the struggle to get to where you know you should as a lesson. Everything now is happening for a greater outcome tomorrow! Check out this TedTalk for some inspiration on a working girl that struggled to get to where she is now.
#MOOD
Were making moves at all types of hours this week! What are you doing in your free time? Make this week the best yet.

"Most people wait until they get the call for a job interview before they begin to prepare, or they wait until they get the call for an audition before they begin to rehearse. But my brother taught me to prepare well BEFORE you get the call." . . . (Zain Asher discussed how to trust your struggle at a #tedtalks event)
