You couldn’t quite remember how long you and Arvin had been sneaking off together. It was a plan agreed on by the both of you. Rules you both made to make your lives easier. Nothing was ever going to be easy…so long as Arvin’s heart beat for yours. The thought alone always made you shake your head. Two halves that met under rather difficult circumstances. Arvin told you it was destiny, the way you met, the way you fell, the way you loved each other. Yet in your mind your love for each other was due for a reckoning. A doomed love story in the making. The love was a blessing, but the hate and the judgment you didn’t want to receive was the dooming. Questions and doubts clouded your thoughts every evening while you lay in bed. The ‘what ifs’ and ‘we can't’ bellowed in your head like a train on tracks. Roaring loudly. Telling you to get out before your life was over. You didn’t want to get out though…You wanted to stay, stay with Arvin, stay for the love, stay for the reckoning, stay for the change. You wanted to stay for the long run. That was the making you wanted to create. Not whatever every white man or woman had to say for it in this town. These folks didn’t know the way you had to live, how you had to think about everything you did when you left your house. They had it easy, they could live easy, get married easy, love easy. Everything was so damn easy for them it made you mad.
You pulled back the curtain keeping a lookout for the familiar roar of the engine of Arvin’s car you spent so much time in. You stepped back from the window and smoothed out your dress. Your mother would kill you if she caught you leaving her home with a wrinkle. No daughter of hers was going to look like she didn’t at least try.
“Y/n, tell me you’re not leaving with that boy again?” Your mother walked in the living room area with a hand on her hip.
“I am mama.” You looked up at her.
She sucked her teeth, shaking her head. “All he’s gonna do is bring you trouble.” Your mother wasn’t always so fond of the idea of you being with Arvin. She didn’t need a boy like Arvin messing up your lives.
“No he’s not. Arvin is good, mama, he always means well. He goes to church!” You tried defending him.
“Everybody goes to church, girl!” Your mother chuckled. You smiled then glanced down at your shoes.
Arvin’s car could be heard outside. You glanced up at your mother with a nervous look, just like you did every time he came to pick you up in the middle of the night. If it was daytime, that would have been riskier, too much sunlight, too many people with judgmental eyes. You wouldn’t be able to handle it all.
Your mother sighed sensing your anxiousness. “Just be careful alright, don’t be home late.” She walked up to you to adjust the collar of your dress. “Tell Arvin I say hello.” She pressed a kiss to your temple and gripped your hands tightly.
“I will mama.” You smiled at her to reassure her worries, her concerns. She watched as you opened the door and walked out. You gave her one last glance and descended down the three steps on your porch and onto the dirt.
Noticing you approaching the car, Arvin quickly put out his cigarette and got out of the car walking over to your side. You squealed as he spun you around a bit in his arms. Arvin’s favorite time was affection time. Any given moment or chance to shower you with kisses and physical contact, he’d take it. Nothing was going to stop him from denying you his love.
“Hi darlin’.“ He chuckled as he dug his face into the side of your neck. “I missed ya.” He sighed deeply, tightening his embrace on you.
“Missyatoo…Arvin,” You mumble out as you let your hands rest on his back. “Arvin.” You looked up, staying still. “Arvin, I can die if I don’t breathe ya know?” You chuckled as he instantly loosened his grip on you.
“Can’t have ya dying on me. Too darn pretty to be in a casket.” Arvin caressed the side of your face. You could feel your cheeks get warm.
“You always say that.”
“Cause it’s true.” Arvin smiled. “Darlin’ ain’t nobody in this world that is as pretty as ya.” He leaned in to press a tender kiss to your lips.
“And there ain’t nobody in this world that says it like you do.” You giggle. “Let’s get going.” You began looking around you watching out for any onlookers or night walkers. You relaxed your shoulders when you saw no one. “Oh and my mama says hi.” You smiled.
Arvin quickly opened the door for you and waited till you got in and situated to close it. “Hello.” He grinned.
Then he got in himself.
The engine roared to life waiting to get its gas going to start the fifteen minute ride to the woods.
The only place where you and Arvin could be. Where no racist soul was bound to find you two showing your devotion for each other.
-
Once Arvin reached your spot. He quickly rolled up the windows and took the keys out of the hole. You smiled when he beckoned you over to him. Finding your place on his lap. Nothing sexual ever, only the tenderness of the pads of his fingers slowly tracing invisible designs across your skin. You closed your eyes as he printed kisses on you. Leaving behind that lingering feeling of his lips.
You opened them back up to stare at the man you’ve grown to love. To call yours, your partner.
“Do you ever get tired of it?” You broke the silence.
“Spending time with ya? No.” Arvin chuckled as he leaned forward pecking your cheek causing you to smile.
“Not that.” You playfully hit his shoulder pad covered by that jean jacket you loved on him.
“The hiding…” You trailed off.
“Yea darlin’ but you know what will happen if-”
“If everyone finds out, I know, I know.” You frowned, you smoothed out the edges of your dress, trying to remove any wrinkles. Arvin tilted his head to try and catch your eyes. “I…I just wanna be able to hold your hand. In public ya know…not in the woods, Arvin.” You sniffled. “I get…I get that people will have their own opinions, or do terrible things, but….” Arvin frowned, reaching up to wipe away your tears. “How long can we keep this up?” You shook your head.
“Hey now, none of that sad talkin’ now.” He cupped your face. “Darlin’ fuck what any of those no good sons of bitches have to say.” He pressed his head against yours. “And if they do say somethin’, well then I’ll find the right time, and set em’ straight.” Arvin jokes.
“Arvin…” You halfheartedly laughed, shaking your head. “Violence isn’t the right way to go about this.” You touched his hand on your cheeks. “What would your sister say, or even your grandma?”
“I’ll set them straight to….” He paused then smiled, causing you to relax.
“It ain’t funny!” You exclaimed, punching his arm.
“Ouch.” He furrowed his brows then chuckled. “Alright, I’m only kidding darlin’.” He turned your chin to look at him. “But I’m serious, I’ll beat the crap out of them assholes who got somethin’ to say about you...about us.”
“Wouldn’t do you any good beating someone up for nothing…” You smirked.
He raised his brow confused. “They don’t know about us silly…” You chuckled when he rolled his eyes. “You’d look like a fool.”
“That does it, come here.” Arvin grunted playfully as he turned you over on your back, you thought that was all he was going to do, but the surprise came when he started tickling you.
“Arvin…no stop!” You laughed trying to remove his hands off you.
“It ain’t funny, eh?” He teased as he continued running his fingertips across your sides.
“No…” You laughed. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Your laughter filled his ears like music. Arvin stopped his tickle assault and hovered over you. You took a deep breath trying to control your heavy breathing.
“I love you, Y/n.” He leaned down and pressed his lips against yours. You smiled tugging at the nape of his curls.
“I love you too Arvin.”
You savored the moment of being with Arvin. There would be days where you two would go a few days without seeing one another. That was torture enough.
It had been bad enough that his grandmother set him up with a girl from his church. She was a cute little thing, as Arvin would say, but not his type. He didn’t take a liking to the poor brunette. He couldn’t find it in himself to enjoy being with her. Not when his heart soared for yours. However, to keep you two a secret, he continued to go on dates with the girl. Much to your dislike.
No world was worth living without Arvin. He understood you like no other person did. Not even at school were they as loving as Arvin was. They’d call you names, tell you how you didn’t belong there. Telling you that dating a white man was gonna do you no good. Not that they’d tell anybody, which you were grateful for. Arvin could recall the times where he’d find you crying behind your school when he’d go and pick you up.
He’d find Lenora in a similar state at his school, but that’s another story for another time. The boys at least learned their lessons. They wouldn’t bother Lenora anymore, but the bullies at yours still bothered you. Yet unlike the way he got back at the boys for Lenora, you’d beg him not to hurt anyone for you, no matter how much they had emotionally hurt you. Although the second any of them laid their hands on you, he’d go back on his word, his promise he made, and hurt them.
“Darlin’ you know…I’d love to tell everyone you’re my girl, but it’d be too risky.” Arvin peered down at you. “There are people who ain’t right in the head, who won’t understand us.” Arvin sighed. “They won’t have it. They’ll…They’ll kill you, kill me.” Arvin sighed.
“All the more to stay a secret huh…” You smiled sadly. “I wish we didn’t have to hide. Do you ever think they’ll be a future where this will be okay?” You stared up at Arvin. He furrowed his brows at your question. Was there really gonna be a future where he could love you in public? Out in the open for everyone to see. He moved his head down to place his lips on yours.
“I think so darlin’, I really do, but we might be too old when it finally becomes okay. We’d have lived a happy long life together in secret. We’d be sittin’ in rocking chairs by then. Whether it became okay or not wouldn’t matter to us by then.” Arvin smiled sadly letting his thoughts be the answer to your question.
“I’m okay with that Arvin, just as long as I got you.” You nodded as your eyes gleamed with tears. You arched your back to press a sweet kiss to his lips.
You knew nothing good would come of this. Not as long as you and Arvin stayed together. It was a cruel world you lived in. One where no one could see two people in love, and instead see two different skin colors. One who’d have no harm come their way, and the other to receive hatred and hostility just for being who they were.
Arvin always asked you what was so wrong with loving you. Nothing was wrong about it. In fact his love for you wasn’t the problem, loving someone wasn’t going to get his ass beaten by anyone. It was the racial discrimination that you had to battle. A battle, that’s what it was…
You liked to joke around with Arvin sometimes. Laughing’ over the idea of being these warriors in love in the midst of a war. You could recall a story you read in one of your books at the library, once, about two gods. One named Venus and one named Mars. Not so much about planets but more so about two people. Two people in love with a secret.
The tale of the two was rather interesting. There was Venus, the Goddess of Love, and Mars, the God of War, but the story seemed to have relevance to your and Arvin’s situation.
Venus, who was betrothed to Vulcan, Roman God of Fire, found him to be quite dull and ordinary, which led to her having an affair with Mars. He was different. You felt that Venus pertained more to Arvin’s situation with that Anna girl, who he was pretending to be with. From what he liked to tell you, she fit the ideal image of what Vulcan was like. Although you could argue that you and Arvin could relate to the gods based on their characteristics.
Mars, son of Jupiter and Juno, was unpopular with everyone. He liked to fight, although whether he won or lost mattered little to none. He just liked trouble and wreaking havoc. Arvin felt a lot like this, struggling with his own internal battles, and finding the right time to pick a fight with someone who did him or his family wrong. He’d get a black eye for it sometimes, but he’d make sure those who wronged him would get what was coming to them. There was no doubt he was beginning to be the talk of the town.
Venus was an entirely different story. She was born in the sea. Unlike Mars, she was not into creating havoc, but caused it if someone scorned her vanity. You remembered on multiple accounts where you had begged Arvin not to pick a fight over you, or for you. Violence was the last thing you wanted in a place like West Virginia. Nothing right about it. There was no use for it, but others seemed to want violence to occur. Someone wanting to start and wreak havoc somewhere. You surely weren’t about to take part in any of it, but if you had to…you would. You didn’t think you could have something to relate to.
Multiple love stories filled with unrealistic outcomes, unrealistic people. You strived to find a story that you could see yourself in. Venus and Mars’ story happened to be it. The idea of Vulcan wanting to expose Venus and Mars then both humiliating them in front of the other gods on Mount Olympus, stirred something within you. If you and Arvin were to be exposed or outed by someone, everything would fall down hill. The reckoning of all reckonings would occur and lead to more problems you didn’t need nor have the time for.
It was only a matter of time before something happened…before someone found out.
-
After a night of fooling around. Arvin dropped you back home and made his way back home. The drive back with the radio playing some familiar tune was nice to enjoy. It was hard to enjoy the little things. He had taken up responsibilities as he got older. He made it his sole purpose to look after Lenora, to look after you. He cared so much, he found it hard to see past his inner demons that haunted him. His childhood haunting him like a second hand slap to the face. It always came back. Thoughts and memories he couldn’t forget would come back. He wanted them to go away. You didn’t go away though. He could recall the first couple times he found himself being allured by your beauty, by your quick wit and intelligence. You were a rare beautiful sight to see. He felt as though it was illegal to look at you with his own eyes. You made him nervous, Arvin was hardly the nervous type. You understood him like no one else. When he had to scream you yelled along with him. When he had to cry, you shed tears too. You were meant for each other. Despite the way things were and how things existed, he knew, in his heart, that the universe made no mistake introducing you two.
Arvin cut the engine when he made it back home. He stayed in the car for a bit longer trying to conjure up a new lie to tell his grandma, sister and uncle this time. Though they never really worried about where he was just as long as he didn’t go stirring up trouble. Though his grandma did worry occasionally.
He released a big breath and turned the engine off and headed inside. His work boots thumping against the ground of his porch. The creeks made noise below him with each step he took. Almost like the anticipation was building up slowly as he opened the front door and walked through the threshold.
When he had closed the door behind him he noticed that some of the lights were turned on. He hadn’t thought much of it, but he did notice how his uncle wasn’t asleep on the sofa bed like he usually was. He stepped deeper into the house trying to find anyone. Arvin had made a move to go to his room. He removed his cap and was going to toss it onto his bed when he halted as he had passed the kitchen. He stepped back and turned at the opening of the kitchen. All three of them lifted their heads to stare at the boy. Arvin gulped as he realized their expressions read anything but happy to see him.
“W-What are ya doin’ up?” He eyed the two women who had appeared to be looking at something on the table. “It’s pretty late ain’t it?”
His uncle was smoking a joint not giving the boy another glance.
“Arvin, come here please.”
“Something the matter, grandma?” He slowly stepped forward to the end of the table.
“Yes Arvin, something is wrong.” Grandma Emma casted her gaze down to the picture that lay on the table. She hesitated touching it, then quickly pushed it away towards Arvin. She grabbed a hold onto Lenora’s hands who hadn’t said a word. “Care to explain that?” She gestured to the picture.
Arvin finally understood what all the fuss was about. He could feel his heart pumping loudly in his ears as he slowly reached down to pick up the picture. The one picture of you he had that he took care of so much.
“Grandma-” He began but she cut him off.
“You’re seeing a-” She tried saying it but she couldn’t find it in herself. “How could you do this to us? Do you know what will happen if word gets out.” She exclaimed.
“That’s probably why he’s been goin’ out so much, he’s probably sneaking-” Lenora pointed out.
“Shut up Lenora!” Arvin clenched his jaw.
“Have you been seeing that girl all this time?” Emma looked hurt.
“Grandma please listen-” Arvin pleaded.
“I just don’t understand how this could-”
“Grandma I can explain-”
“-happen. What about Anna, huh? That poor girl…Have I taught you nothing boy because-”
“I LOVE HER!” Arvin shouted over his grandma.
She gasped as she looked at him with wide eyes. This time his uncle finally looked at him. He removed the cigar from his mouth and put it out.
“Excuse me?”
“I love her grandma.” Arvin could feel water build up in his eyes. “This girl right here.” He lifted the picture and made it face his family. “I love her so much and this is exactly why I didn’t tell anybody.” Arvin began crying as he explained himself. “Y/n and I are so scared that something terrible will happen, and I don’t know what I’d do if anything happened to her, grandma. I love her…and I don’t care if you like it or not.” He let his arms fall to his side. He was tired. The three of them shared a look then stared up at Arvin.
“Alright then…” Grandma Emma nodded.
“Alright then?” Arvin furrowed his brows. “That’s it…”
“Alright then.” Grandma Emma nodded her head.
“You’re okay with this?”
“We’re not happy with that fact you didn’t tell us.” His uncle finally spoke up. “But this is your life boy, do what ya want with it, and if this Y/n girl makes ya happy then alright then.” His uncle slapped the side of his forearm.
“What’d ya think we were gonna do Arvin?” Lenora asked.
“I don’t know…” Arvin breathed out.
“Don’t think too low of us boy, we ain’t bad people here. We’re ya family, remember that.” His uncle eyed him.
“Yeah.” Arvin was slowly letting his guard down again. He finally looked up to eye his grandma who was having a hard time looking at him. “Grandma?” He lifted his eyebrows at her.
“Tell us things next time, Arvin.” Grandma Emma finally looked up at him. “Your momma raised you well boy.” A smile slowly making its way to her lips. “Do you know if Y/n likes homemade Beef Bourguignon or fudge cake?” She stared up at the boy nervously. This caused Arvin to smile.
“As a matter of fact she does, Grandma.” Arvin let out a breathy laugh. “Why’d ya ask?”
“I’d like to meet the girl who makes my grandson smile so much?” Grandma Emma shrugged.
“I’ll ask her.” He nodded.
“Does Y/n like books?” Lenora seemed to ask out of nowhere. It wasn’t a secret that Lenora had a hard time making friends. Maybe this could be her chance at making one who didn’t pick on her for being Arvin’s step-sister.
“She loves them, Lenora.” Arvin smiled fondly at the thought of you reading to him on one of your nightly dates in the woods. Lenora gently smiled and nodded.
Silence fell over the four of them as they all came to a middle ground. No more arguing, no more secrets. They knew and he could relax a little more. They were going to meet you and that’s all he wanted. He was so scared of them being against the idea of him being with you, but they weren’t and it made him so happy.
“You guys will love her.” Arvin smiled nodding.
“If you do Arvin, then I know we will too.” His uncle smiled up at the boy.

Dark Lee Bodecker x reader, Dark Arvin Russel x reader
🚔
After bringing in the mail some of them spilled out of your hand before you could place it neatly on the kitchen table. The one with your father's name stood out amongst the pack.
He had died sometime ago and every once in a while letters would roll in asking for money he owed. The old bastard left you nothing but his debt and the old Chevy that was more trouble than it was worth.
You frowned and picked his up first then opened it. The sheriff's insignia stamped above the text informed you of his unpaid outstanding speeding tickets.
🚔
"I don't know what to tell you ma'am, you're gonna have to come in and pay this off." The lady officer told you over the phone. You twisted your gold cross in annoyance at the news. After a long explanation things were going the same way they always did, bad. Not only did he have outstanding speeding tickets he also had parking tickets too. Enough for the county to put a boot on the car.
"But he is dead and I aint got that kinda money." You stressed. You needed that clunker to get back and forth to work. The buses had a tendency to run on their own time.
You heard her sigh over the phone then put you on hold without warning. You considered asking the church for help again. When he ran out on your mother they helped support your mom, kept you fed and clothed. When your mother passed they even helped to bury her and when the time came your father too. You were sure you were running low on favors. You would never be able to pay them back for everything.
"Hello Ma'am?"
"Yes. I'm still here."
"Okay, if you come to the station today and show proof, we can get this sorted for you." She explained as relief washed over.
"Thank you… I'll be there as soon as I can."
🚔
You hoped you could get this sorted out without denting your pocket book, things were hard enough as it was. By the time you made it out of the house the street lights were on. The station was small for the town size, only three empty squad cars sat empty as you walked up to the double doors.
"Hi Honey, how can I help you today?" The lady officer inquired through the holes in the glass as you pushed through the front door.
A wide partition separated you two. Before the call you were surprised they had women working here and by her uniform she was more than just a pencil pusher. Behind her head you saw the tail end of the an empty bullpen.
Pushing your papers over her desk you again explained your situation. Her brows knitted as she read over the documents as you waited.
"Uh just a moment hun.”
You nodded in understanding while she grabbed the receiver on her phone. A few officers passed through from the back while she talked to whomever was on the other line.
"Come with me."
The partition door opened and she motioned you forward. The request caught you off guard. What more could she need? All the relevant documents were there.
You were too tired to start a fuss. You just wanted this over with so you let her lead the way.
"Take a seat inside."
The walk was short. An icy cold breeze blew out from the room when she opened the door. You went in first, hugging yourself, trying to keep warm. The space was fairly bare. A large table sat in the middle of the room with a lone chair tucked at its side. There were no windows, just a large mirror half the size of the wall.
"An Officer will be here shortly." She informed. You spun confused.
You tried to stop her to ask questions, but the door shut in your face. You never had to jump through this many hoops to prove your father's death. Everywhere else just made you sign documents after looking over your papers.
It felt like you had been waiting for hours. There was no clocks on the wall and you didn't have the mind to wear your watch. Your feet started to hurt so you took the only seat in the room. If they didn't come in the next few minutes you would just come back early tomorrow.
"Hello Ma'am, " the first officer greeted with a folder in hand, just as your patients was running thin. A younger officer followed in behind and you started to wondered how many people did it take to get this sorted out.
"Hope we hadn't kept you waiting long." The older one asked with a smile that made you feel uneasy. His badge read Lee Bodecker, but when you strained to read his partner's tag you found it too difficult. The younger man said nothing as he past, tucking himself in the corner behind you.
"No it's alright," you lied. You were a bit annoyed by your treatment and welled beyond ready for this day to end, but it felt pointless to point it out.
Lee flipped open the folder and wrinkled his brow. You twisted your necklace out of habit as you wonder what could have him looking so concerned.
"This don't look like you. This a fake I.D.? You look too young to be this old." Lee joked with a playful smirk, pulling out a copy of your license. "Do you think this looks like her Arvin?"
He leaned back and waved the copy at his partner, but Arvin looked un-amused by Lee's antics. Arvin's eyes met yours in the mirror, he frowned deeply before shifting his gaze to his feet. He looked like he didn't want to be here just as badly as you did.
"Aw don't mind him … he's just a little shy, especially around a pretty thing like you."
Lee seemed disappointed at his partners lack of interest, but shrugged it off and pressed on. He stepped closer to you and laid open the folder, spreading out the documents you had given to the female officer along with others you didn't recognize.
"We ran a report on your vehicle little lady and the name on the registration doesn't match." Lee informed as his am rested on the back of your seat. He boxed you in and he leaned in uncomfortably close.
"Yeah it was my daddy's car." You state shifting away from him as much as you could.
"Well the name on your license don't match the 'man's' name on these papers." he entoned.
"We don't have the same last name." You twisted the golden crucifix again as Lee pointed out the discrepancies between the registration and your license.
"You trying to tell me your mother was too much of a whore to figure out who your 'daddy' was?" Lee whispered into your ear. Your eyes went wide and your mouth gawked open at his crassness. If he wanted you to feel ashamed he was doing a good job of it.
"I.. I know what it looks like, but he was my daddy." You felt more and more uncomfortable. Different last names weren't uncommon, but still very taboo in your back woods country town.
Your daddy was a rolling stone, he never married your momma, and flat out refused to sign your birth certificate when you were born. A point of contention between the two until her dying day.
"Well we need a way to verify your 'daddy' is who you say he is. Cause from my view it looks like you stole this car and now your coming up here with phony documents claiming to be a dead mans child. Seems like clear fraud and theft to me."
🚔
You watched in disbelief and shock as he pulled the handcuff from his hips.
"He is I swear. This paper work is all I got. I swear." You started to feel panicked. You couldn't believe this situation had turned so bad.
"I think we can look past this little discretion for a price."
"But I dont-"
"Stand up." he demanded flatly cutting you off, his playful demeanor fading quickly.
"What?"
"I don't like repeating myself."
Lee stepped back and pulled the chair from underneath you, dumping you out. You hit the floor hard, your side and palms throbbed from the impact as you reeled in shock.
"Please, don't do this. " You pleaded. Tears were burning up your eyes when he clicked open the cuffs. If you got arrested you would miss work. No work meant no money and with an arrest on your record your life would most definitely be harder than it was already.
"Your a good god fearing girl aren't you?" He asked his eyes suddenly transfixed on your necklace. You clutched it bringing his focus back to you.
"Use your words," he tutted when you shook your head in response.
"Y-yes." You stuttered out, but he frowned deeply at your reply.
"Yes what?"
"Y-es si-sir," you stammered through your correction making him light up. Your body was shaking and your heart pounded. You had never been in trouble with the law, but you heard enough stories for dread to sink in.
"You know good girls get rewarded… Isn't that right Arvin?" He smiled down at you. Arvin didn't answer.
"How about we do this hmm…" he crouched down to your level and offered you a hand up. You were hesitant, but didn't want to anger him so you took his hand and rose to your feet. "If your a good girl…No money, just be good for us we might forget all about this little discrepancy on your registration? Would you like that?"
"Y-yes sir."
He smiled brightly at you. You forced an awkward smile just to appease him.
"Well alright…. How about you give me your panties? Hmmm? Bet they're as cute as you." He said with a wink. You blinked wildly in disbelief at his request.
"Oh don't look at me like that baby girl. You said you were a good girl right? …. Then show me."
🚔
You felt sick and helpless, but the thought of the alternative got you through your reservations. Slowly you bent over. He snickered at your bloomers, pulling at the elastic until it snapped back at you. The cold room felt warmer as humiliation heated your skin. You sniffed and fought off tears as he rounded you.
"That's my girl," Lee preened as you handed him your panties.
"Now go ahead and put your hands on the table."
"But you said…."
"I know what I said, honey I said it." His tone changed again. "You get rewarded once you earned it and you ain't earn shit yet."
He rested his hand on the butt end of the gun that fastened to his hip. It was a threat, but it only help to paralyze you.
"Which church you go to?"
"Saint Cecilia's." You answered almost lower than a whisper, rubbing the edges of the crucifix with your thumb.
"I know that one. Father Martin is still there right?"
You nodded, but quickly realized your mistake and spoke. "Yes sir."
"Sure would be a shame if he heard you got into trouble at the station. You know he comes by to pray for the wayward folks locked up at county. What do you think he would say if he saw that pretty face behind bars?"
He held these charges over your head like a carrot on a stick. You felt pressure. After all he and the church had done it would surely break the old mans heart. You squeezed your cross so hard it hurt before you let go. Without further protest you turned, hung your head low and placed your hands on the table. If you just do what he wants it will be over faster and you can go home and forget all this.
"Perfect darling…. stay just like that."
🚔
You kept your eyes closed and prayed. Lee whistled over to Arvin, signaling him to come closer as he tucked your panties into his pocket.
"I don't want no part of this."
Lee sighed loudly and shook his head in disappointment. Through your lashes you stared up at Arvin pleadingly. He seemed to be just as repulsed by his partner as you were. It looked as if he felt sorry for you as if he wanted to help, but all he could muster was that sympathetic look.
"If you're going to be apart of this unit your gonna need to man up. You can't always hide out in the corner. You're a virgin aren't you?" At Lee's accusation Arvin turned beet red. Lee laughed loudly at him, embarrassment riddled all over Arvin's features.
"All makes sense now. Why you're always acting all shy. Don't worry your secret is save with us… Aint that right darling?" Lee affirmed, slapping the back of the young officer hard, but playfully, bringing him closer by his shoulder.
"Yes sir." You responded weakly after Lee pinched your ass with his free hand. Arvin shoved his partner hard, giving himself some distance. You cried quietly to yourself when Lee pressed his belt buckle to your backside.
"I can tell by the way her hips set she aint." Lee joked, making you feel more humiliated as he lifted your skirt over your hips. You stifled a sob as Lee's calloused hands trailed up your thigh slowly.
"Listen here Arv., I took you on as a favor to your old man. He looked after me when I was coming up in the force and now it’s my turn to return the favor.” Lee said casually. You bit down on your lip and choke down a whimper as Lee forced a fat digit inside.
"Don't talk about my dad," Arvin hissed. He looked agitated and you hoped that would be enough to stop this, but Lee played on.
"Your father was a great man and a great teacher. Would’ve made sheriff if things had ended different….. I ain’t doin nothin he ain’t show me.” Lee reassured as he dipped in slowly and pulled out slower, you squirmed at the feel of the intrusion. Arvin kick the ground and shook his head as he listened. He caught your eyes in the mirror and you could see something break down inside him.
"This is a tradition. Everybody that done wore the badge has done it. Your father included. So we're going to make you a man today." He declared as you continued to sob.
"Oh watch this!" Lee exclaimed while curling a finger inside of you. A warmness in your belly bubbled over, forcing a moan to slip past your lips. You bit down hard after the outburst, ashamed of yourself from finding pleasure in his sin.
"See that she is breathing heavy now." Lee teased while adding another digit. He pushed in so deep that is knuckles rested on your cunt. The firmness made ripples sing out from your core. The devil was alive in this man and your soul felt weak against these unwanted desires.
Arvin's eyes drifted to your back side watching the display. He swallowed hard as his hands crossed over his belt, but it did little to hide the imprint forming in the seat of his pants.
"Now you give it a go." Lee pulled his fingers free, wiping your slickness on your ass. You panted pathetically relieved, but still throbbing with fire.
🚔
"Remember what I told you. Be a good girl." Lee reminded you.
Arvin took Lee's place hesitantly. Your legs felt weak and you strained to stay up right. You tried to focus on the dangling pendant and not them. This shall pass, this will be over, you just had to endure.
"Yes sir," you hiccuped. Tears pooled on the table as you waited for Arvin to violate you.
“Take your forefinger and index like this” Lee encouraged. Lee motioned with his finger while Arvin mimicked the instructions.
You balked lowly when you felt Arvin touched down the outline of your lips gently, his fingers curious of the bud poking through.
"Go on," Lee encouraged.
Arvin pressed against your lips, separating them gingerly. His nervous energy bled through your skin as the last semblance of hope faded. Any thought that you had that Arvin would be a hero was fully gone. You were nothing to them or less than nothing to them.
"Don’t tease her boy get in there. Show her you're a man!" Lee goaded the younger officer. Arvin's fingers stoked the devil's fire.
You squeezed Arvin's fingers the involuntary action making him growl. Your nails dug into the table while Arvin played and Lee coached. The older man acted like a proud father, cheering him on each time you moaned or bucked your hips. Your body didn't feel like your own, the devil had surely taken over you.
Wet slick sounds added to your shame and humiliation. The longer he moved inside the louder it sounded. You couldn't hear them anymore, too dizzy and light headed to focus.
“See all that shine. That means she's in need. Gotta put her out of her misery as they say." Lee said as he nudged Arvin.
🚔
A rolling pulse surged from his finger tips, ashamedly you pushed your hips hint him. A part of you didn't want to but another part needed it, like an itch that just had to be scratched.
The door snapped shut loudly and suddenly. The noise made. your head whip in its direction. The thought of more men coming to violate you had a resurgence of panic and fear. But to your surprise no one had entered, and Lee had gone.
Arvin stepped back and you were relieved. With the other officer gone you felt emboldened to push your skirt down and stand up right.
"Don't-"
"Please.." you pleaded weakly, cutting him off. Through the mirror you looked up at him, but he didn't look at you. The way he stared at himself in the mirror worried you.
"Don't look at me." He demanded still staring at himself. You moved
"Please, you don't have to do this."
Foolishly you turned to plead to him face to face, but Arvin caught your wrist, stopping you. You felt the remnants of your slick coated on his fingers as he gripped your wrist hard.
You whaled as Arvin contorted your arm behind your back wrenching it painfully.
He was clumsy and desperate as he held you down and wrestled with his pants with one hand. You stayed pressed to the table, focusing on the pain radiating from the connecting joints.
Your pleading was desperate and tantric yet Arvin trudged on. Tears bled over your face and all over the table. There was no notice or warning when his cock stretched you open.
You cried out loudly as new pain drew new focus throughout your whole body. The full girth of Arvin felt as if he ripped through your soul.
Arvin held you down with little to no effort. You couldn't push him off, couldn't run away, he trapped you in unending pain. He grunted as you gasped and sobbed. The hard top of the table jabbed into your hip with each thrust of his.
The pain broke something in you. The chorus of your body against his built a weird sensation that made you wild and you couldn't ignore it.
"Arvin," you panted out breathy. You wanted to believe you were going to plead to stop, but those protest choked you.
In the mirror his eyes looked lidded and focused on the connecting flesh. You feared the sight of yourself, feared that lust was written on you.
Your arm fell limp at your side, the ache dull in comparison to the twisted battering that filled you with confusion. Arvin smoothed down your hip until he rounded underneath. Your thighs locked around his hand as it burrowed in-between, forcefully petting the hidden bud.
Everything was hot, so hot you couldn't concentrate. His heavy breathing, his touch, his desperate rhythm worked to swallow you in fire. It felt like Arvin had sunk into your depths as if you were bottomless.
You moaned unable to fight the inferno erupting from his violation. You knew you shouldn't want it but you needed it. If this was slipping into sin you could see how so many had fallen.
Your toes curled in your shoes as the fire overtook your body. The heat burned brighter than the shame and guilt you felt. His cum the only thing that cooled the blaze.
🚔
You kept your head low out of the station and you hugged yourself. Home is were you wanted to be. A hot bath to scrub the sin off.
You didn't want to remember Arvin leaving you in a heap over the table. You didn't want to remember the cheers that bled through the mirror and the eyes that followed you out off the station.
"Church girl!” Lee shouted from behind. His keys jangled as you gulped down your nerve as he approached.
"Yes sir?" Your voice sounded horse, another shameful reminder of your hedonism. You were lucky your skirt came down well past your knees. The only blessing that helped to hide Arvin's seed that had trailed down your thigh.
"You forgot your reward. We got your record all cleared up. No need to worry about getting anymore letters about the speeding and parking tickets."
Bile built up again in your throat and you tried to ignore it. Lee seemed to study your face, enjoying your discomfort.
"Thank you sir."
"Need help?" Lee asked looking past you and at your car. You frowned and then followed his gaze. Your tires, all flat. Though the sight was shocking you didn't care you would drive it on its rim you just needed to get away.
"No it's fine sir." You tried to assure him, but he frowned back at you.
"Naw this aint no good. You can't go driving around like that." He tutted.
"Sir please you've already done so much." You tried not to sound panicked, but you were. The last thing you wanted to do was to be trapped in a car with him.
"No I won't take no for an answer darling. I'm taking you home, tomorrow I'll have Earl swing by and fix it right up for you. " There was no arguing or protesting. He was telling you how things were going to be and you had no power in refusing.
🚔
Lee let you sit in front while he drove. He took the long way to your home, the extended trip keeping you on edge even after he turned on to your street. The car ride was silent, the only thing you were thankful for.
The engine died in your driveway and you were quick to rush out the door. By the time you touched the handle to door locked before you could open it.
"Whoa whoa whoa darling, leaving so fast?" Lee asked casually with your back turned to him. "I went out of my way to help you get home. And this is the thanks I get?"
The leather seats whined and wheezed as he stretched out along the seat. His finger tips tickled your back, sending a cold chill down your spine while you stayed frozen. You winced when he let out an annoyed breath when you still didn't answer.
"I asked you a question darling."
"Thank you for the ride home sir." Your throat felt dry as you answered him, but your your eyes found no shortage in water.
Slyly you tried the door again, but it stayed locked. You felt broken and tired and wanted nothing more for this nightmare to end.
"Thank you? All I get is a thank you?" Lee scoffed.
"You know how I can tell you're not as good as you pretend to be?" Lee spat. "Look at me when I am talking to you!"
Your body trembled uncontrollably and your words came out just as shaky. "Sorry sir."
"Good god fearing girls don’t do what you did. Get as wet as you did. I watched you through that big old mirror. Watched you let loose for Arvin. Did my boy really good."
You looked down at your lap, squeezing your thighs tightly together. Arvin's dried cum scratched your skin as you soaked in the shame of what happened.
🚔
"Come over here."
He patted at the space next to him. Not wanting to anger him you scooted along the wide leather seat, when you were close enough he hugged you into his side, squeezing uncomfortably tight.
"I should've kept you to myself." Lee practically purred, picking up your chin. He focused solely on your lips as your tears trickled over his hand. Your lips trembled as he dragged his thumb across your bottom lip. "Something as sweet as you…., but I owed the boy's old man you see."
"I really appreciate all that y'all done for me Mr. Bodecker, but I got work in the morning." You tried to stop yourself from crying, but it was hard to do. The more you fought the more they would trickle down.
"Words aren't good enough darling. I need proof, action. You gotta make me believe your appreciative….Why don't you show me hmm?"
"Please you promised. I was good."
"You were good darlin… Really good… to Arvin, but I need you to be good to me…."
You looked around for help from the outside world, but found none. Your neighbor's houses were all dark and not a car had past since you arrived home.
"Don't worry about putting on a show for the neighbors. I want you to duck down and put those pretty lips around my cock."
🚔
Your hands shook as you unbuckled his belt. The clasp popped easily with your help and the stress of his bulge. Lee's cock bounced out when you unzipped him. He wasn't wearing nothing under his pants.
"Now I want you to open your mouth nice and wide." Lee said as he palmed the back of your head, forcing you into his lap as you balked. His cock was threateningly close, you pushed push on his thighs but the pressure from his hand kept you face to face with it.
"Open." Lee ordered firmly. You felt the order in his words and fear of what would happen if you didn't comply. You hesitated but when he began to squeeze you opened slowly. Your nails dug into his pants ferociously, but it didn't seem to bother him.
"That’s it." Lee let out a relaxing breath. You whined as you took him in. He controlled your movements. His legs spread wide in relaxation as you struggled to breathe.
"Take all of me in that sweet little mouth of yours." He hummed while you gagged. You dry heaved each time he forced you down. The convulsions bringing up sick that you swallowed back down.
"Oh your are soo bad. You can’t be a church girl. A good little Christian can't do this honey."
Your lips felt bruised and jaws ached. You sobbed endlessly throughout the assault which earned you praise.
When he shivered and held you down Lee spilled into your mouth. You choked and spit out, making a mess of the seat of his pants.
When he released your neck you shot up quickly, wiping your mouth as you gasped for more air.
"Oh shit darling look what you did." He tutted. "Guess I gotta go inside and have you clean me. Can't go home looking like this."

Charleston Girl
Tumblr media
Dark!Arvin Russell x Reader
~Description~
You were the wealthy good girl from the “better” side of Knockemstiff, Ohio only that was so far from the truth. Arvin was never one to judge for you being a hidden troublemaker but he can’t help but want to straighten out a girl who doesn’t want to be handled.
~Warnings~
Rape/Non-con, Underage drinking, Smoking, Fingering, Forced Orgasm, semi-public sex
Tumblr media
“It’s so pretty on you,” you said as Lenora gave you a twirl. She was wearing a pretty pink tea-length dress. It was one of your own. You had so many from Momma, that you didn’t bother hanging this one up. It was in a box in your attic. You hadn’t thought of it until Lenora asked you about wearing something to the dance and what you would wear.
All you thought about was going to the dance with Lenora. You couldn’t care less about what you were going to wear. It’s always been that way. You and Lenora. You both were two peas in a pod. You were never seen without the other the day you found each other. It was in Kindergarten after Tommy Matson pushed quiet, good Lenora into the mud. He got a bad black eye and you got a new best friend. As you both grew up, you wrestled less with boys your age and found yourself under their sheets while Lenora became a godly goody two shoes. You kept up with the persona of the do-gooder for Momma of course. There was no way of talking your way out of one of Momma’s lectures.
So you tried your hardest to seem like that good rich girl from the “better side” of Knockemstiff, Ohio. Many people didn’t look past the facade. You played it up so well going to church, never staying out late, never drinking or smoking. Little did everyone know you were doing more than they even realized. No one saw past it. Well, mostly everyone didn’t except for Arvin Russel. You didn’t know Lenora’s cousin that well even when you were at their house most of the time. He never talked much to you only gruff hellos and a few forced waves.
He knew what you were plain as day but he never spoke on it. Never called you out for your sinful ways when you and Momma were over and Emma was going on about how much of a good girl you are, when you would laugh and giggle next to Lenora during prayer, or when you would lie to the boys you flirted with about being a virgin.
Arvin never even batted an eye. That was until you found yourself being flirted with by Tommy Matson. He was just a dalliance in your eyes. He didn’t mean much to you plus it wasn’t like you were actually planning on sleeping with him but to Arvin…
Arvin acted as if you sold yourself to the devil.
He treated you so coldly after he saw you with Tommy one day. You had been kissing something you always did. Tommy got too handsy when you finally called it off. You rolled your eyes when he cursed about you being a tease and how Susie already went to third base with him. You spit the taste of him out and wiped your mouth.
“Not all of us are easy like Susie Cox…” you snarled.
He rolled his eyes before spitting, “I was told you were easier than Susie Cox.”
You cursed at him before shoving him away only to find Arvin looking in your direction with a hard glare. You stared back not knowing whether to give him a hard glare too. You chose to leave. Tommy was being a total drag anyway.
“Good luck findin’ a way home,” Tommy said as you walked off. You couldn’t stop the middle finger that raised from you as you walked away with your arms crossed over your chest.
You made your way down the road to your house. It wasn’t far from where you were now. So the walk wouldn't be anyways. You were by yourself for what seemed like ten minutes before hearing the sound of a car slow down next to you. You ignored it, thinking it was Tommy until a sound came from inside of the car. A sound from a voice you didn't want to hear right now.
You stopped dead in your tracks and sighed, “Arvin…”
You didn’t want to see him, especially not after your make-out succession with Tommy Matson. To be honest you would rather have him be Tommy than Arvin.
“Get in,” he bit out.
You hesitated a bit. You could tell he was upset and you could figure out a good and well enough reason as to why. He opened the door to his truck and you hurried in. It was quiet, so quiet it had you listening to the wind from outside the car for comfort. You wanted him to say something instead of this awkward silence that had your insides ripping themselves out.
Finally, you couldn’t bear it any longer and said something.
“Don’t tell Momma,” you whispered as you stared out into the road.
You didn’t know why you said it because it wasn’t like he would’ve. He never did and yet… you had this overwhelming feeling that today might’ve been different, You could hear his grip tighten on the wheel ever so slightly at the plea.
“And if I do?” He quietly asked. That caused you to finally look at him. You blinked in his direction, and he kept his eyes straight on the road.
“She’ll kill me.”
“Is that such a bad thing?” he grunted as he pulled into your driveway. You stared at him as he finally turned his attention to you. His frown and hardened eyes stared right back at you.
You swallowed, “Please… don’t tell Momma.”
He stared at you for what seemed like a long time before he eventually tilted his head, with a small nod. You thanked him for the ride and then that was it. You both never talked about it again nor was there even a reason to. To find your cousin’s best friend making out with a guy who bullied them both would have anyone shaking their heads at the sight. To this day you still don’t really know why you agreed to it in the first place. You supposed it was you were just bored and Tommy was the only one near that had anything interesting about him.
You shook your head as Lenora pulled you up from the flowery bed.
“Your turn,” she said with a smile, “You need a pretty dress too.”
Lenora shuffled through the old boxes of dresses. It could’ve been decades worth of dresses. Momma had a keen eye for style. Lenora pulled out a pale blue dress you’ve never seen before. You smiled at it when Lenora held it up to you in the mirror.
“Gorgeous.”
You stared at it for a bit before Lenora spoke up again, “Hurry and put in on.”
You nodded and went to your bathroom. When you got the dress on you noticed how much prettier it was. The ruffles needed to be puffed out more, but it was a beautiful dress. When you came out Lenora couldn’t stop smiling and complimenting you about how you looked in it. You giggled when she twirled you around her.
“Well don’t y’all look so pretty,” Momma said as you both smiled towards her.
“Don’t we?”
She started to walk closer but you found Arvin right behind her. Your smile faltered a bit at the sight of him. Momma smiled at him as she gestured to you and Lenora. Arvin cleared out his throat a bit before agreeing.
“Oh is it time to leave already?” Lenora asked.
Arvin nodded as he stared at you both, mainly you. You didn’t know how you felt about the look he gave you. It was a soft gaze, softer than the day he saw you with Tommy Matson that’s for sure. You turned and grabbed Lenora’s hand trying to ignore Arvin’s eyes, “Let's go pick up your things, hm?”
Lenora nodded and followed you back to your room. You helped pack the rest of her things and sent Lenora on her way with Arvin, who still looked at you with a strange look you couldn’t pinpoint.
. . .
You held the bottle to your lips chugging down the burning whiskey quickly you knew that if you didn’t it would all come bubbling up.
“Slow down, sugar. What’s the rush?” the blonde boy slurred with a chuckle he was way drunker than you by a tenfold. Time and time again he always told you that he could hold his liquor and time and time again you always proved him wrong.
You rolled your eyes and pushed him away when his hands started to palm at your thighs. It wasn’t the first time Ricky tried to pull something like this. You could usually forgive it because he would cry about how sorry he was the next day. You huffed and closed your eyes, drinking the last bit of the whiskey before throwing it down. You could feel your body warming up finally after an hour or so sitting there for what felt like forever with this boy.
“Ricky, if I wanted to fuck something I wouldn’t have called you.” You said so bluntly it had him frowning and leaning forward.
“Sorry,” he mumbled and crossed his arms over his chest.
“It’s okay,” you sighed. You pulled out a cigarette one you stole from Momma, it was one you knew she wouldn’t be missing. You lit it up and took a small drag from it. “I’m gettin’ tired.” You tried to do a convincing yawn. It worked since Ricky was too drunk to notice how fake it was.
“I'm going to start headin’ home, Rick.”
“This late? It’s dark out...”
“I’ll be fine I'm just down the road from you,” you stated as you pulled your cardigan around you. You gave him a wave and left. The real reason why you left was you couldn’t stand having to take care of boys when they were drunk. It reminded you too much of your father.
You got far away enough to where you could only hear the sound of the wind blowing through you. You kicked a few rocks and missed causing you to slip and fall on your side. You could barely feel the scrape on the side of your arm courtesy of the alcohol Ricky supplied you. You laughed at yourself mostly because you magically saved your cig. You took a long drag and inhaled deeply. You picked yourself back up a task that now seemed a lot more difficult than normal. You swayed a bit and tried to keep yourself upright. You could make it to your house: just another mile or two to go. You continued on your merry way, taking one last hit of your cig before throwing it down and stomping on it.
By then you didn’t notice the sound of a car slowing down by you. You would’ve broken out in a run, that was if you could run. Thankfully it wasn’t a cop but the sight that was held before you had you cursing underneath your breath.
Arvin stared at you for what seemed like a long time before he huffed and opened the passenger seat door. You would’ve ignored it and kept walking if your whole body didn’t feel like you were carrying bags of sand. You made your way in, closed the door, and leaned your head against the window. You knew you probably smelled like a cheap liquor store, so Arvin could easily guess what you had been doing.
It was quiet for a minute, you could tell he wasn’t as upset as when you found you and Tommy but he was disappointed. The car slowed back down a bit and pulled into an area with a lot of brush.
“I don’t get why Lenora associates with you…” he calmly said as he put the car in park. “You two are so different.”
You huffed and stared at the window. You weren’t going to get lectured by a boy, especially Arvin Russel.
“How are we so different?” You chuckled as you stared out into the dense forest. You turned your head to find Arvin looking directly at you his eyes were unnerving you a bit. You can tell he mumbled something but you couldn’t make it out, you were a bit too drunk. You thought you could hold your liquor, not tonight.
You didn’t understand what happened at first. You found his lips on yours and his arms around your waist. It was all too quick for your drunk mind to comprehend.
“Ar- Arvin,” You mumbled into his lips.
He shallowed your pleas instantly with his tongue as he forced it into your mouth. You usually didn’t like it when boys would try to take control and it was no different now. You tried your best to fight him off but your slaps were weak while he was tasting your mouth. You moaned into him when he pressed a spot on your thighs it had you trying to close them but Arvin only pushed them wider. You could finally breathe again when he pulled his mouth off of you but instead opted to kiss your jaw and the side of your neck. You could feel his fingers on your underwear. They slowly rubbed up and down and you could feel the pair becoming wet.
“You’re fucking drippin’ is that all for me?” he sighed as he pulled your underwear to the side and stared at it. Never in your experience has a boy even taken a peak. All the other times it was dark with you usually on top. It made you feel uncomfortable to have him this close. To have him staring at an intimate spot. To have him be the one that was overpowering you. It made you feel small, and you didn’t like the feeling of not being in control. He entered with a finger slowly bringing it out and in before adding another one.
“Arvin please,” you gasped when he curled his fingers in a way that had you tensing. You pulled at his wrist until you felt his fingers go a bit faster.
“Say that again,” he leaned over your body and whispered in your ear. “Say please and say my name again.”
“P- please, Arvin.”
Arvin kissed your lips as soon as those words left your mouth. His fingers didn’t stop nor slow once. Back and forth back and forth while you were squirming and moaning beneath him. Your hips met up with his hand every time causing his other hand to hold over your stomach to make you stay still. You cried out when his thumb started to rub at your clit. It was all too much for you, you were too weak, too intoxicated to get him off of you. It got to the point where he had you whining out for him. Begging him pleading for him to let you come. He smiled a devilish smile that had you furrowing your eyebrows, kissed your cheek, and nodded. You saw white and grabbed onto his hand that was holding you down. You moaned so loudly you swore that the woods were still echoing the sound that left your lips. Your body was too hot and paralyzed to even move. You breathed deeply as he fixed up your underwear and smoothed over your skirt. He stuck his fingers in his mouth tasting you while he stared at you. He stared at you while he did it. You could’ve slapped him if you weren’t too out of it to say something.
“Let's get you home, hmm?” he said a bit out of breath too.
You nodded and tried to pick yourself back up to a comfortable position. You both were deathly silent in the truck. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of your breathing. When he finally pulled into your driveway you thanked him and went on your way. You didn’t turn back as you went inside of your house and you didn’t hear him pull out until you closed the door.
. . .
“Y’all look like princesses,” Momma said as she fluffed up your dress and then did the same for Lenora.
Emma smiled as she watched you both from the dining room chair.
“Arvin is drivin’ y’all to the dance, right?” Emma asked as she got up and leaned against the archway.
“Yeah,” Lenora said happily.
You could’ve broken something right then and there.
“Arvin?” you said lowly and Lenora nodded in a smile. She didn’t notice how upset you were but Momma did.
“Don’t worry I am sure other people are going to be comin’ up in trucks too,” she giggled as she fixed your hair again.
You weren’t worried about that yet you played along. You sighed at Momma and Emma picked up your guys’s shoes. You didn’t want to go out of your house all of a sudden. You didn’t want to go and see him. You haven’t seen him in over a month. You didn’t know how you managed not seeing him considering he was basically Lenora’s brother. Yet you did, you hid away. You haven’t been out drinking since that night which made some of your “other” friends upset. You couldn’t give them the real answer as to why so you opted to just say you were grounded.
Lenora held your hand and guided you outside. Momma and Emma followed behind, smiling as soon as Arvin’s truck was in their line of sight.
“Be good girls,” Emma said as you and Lenora jumped into Arvin’s truck. You both gave them a quick wave and went on your way.
The car wasn’t silent but it wasn’t very talkative either. Lenora seemed to notice the complete energy shift and she was hesitant to start the conversation. Somehow she did. She and Arvin did some small talk. Now and then she invited you to a conversation. You would reply with one-word answers. Finally, you made it to the dance you knew that some people were already tipsy before even walking in just from the way they walked.
As soon as you and Lenora walked out of Arvin’s truck she checked on you. She whispered when she asked if you were alright. You only nodded. You didn’t want to be near Arvin for a moment more. She accepted it and walked you to the door. You glance to your right to see Tommy smile at you with a brown paper bag he isn’t careful hiding.
“You go on in, I'll meet you inside, okay?” You said and Lenora looked between you and Tommy. She didn’t look pleased but she didn’t say anything. She nodded and walked in.
You felt bad and you knew that what you were doing was bad. What you were about to do was impulsive but you couldn’t stop yourself as you walked towards Tommy. His little gang wasn’t there with him, it was just him with a bottle.
“I knew you couldn’t hold up on a good time forever,” he said.
You frowned and took the bottle from his hand. You downed whatever it was easily. It was sweet and burned the back of your throat. It was a pleasant burn, one that made you feel a bit better about leaving Lenora. You leaned against Tommy’s car, never noticing how he only stared at you.
“You look beautiful tonight…”
“I’m sure Susie would agree too,” you quietly said as you sipped the bottle.
“You’re still mad at that?”
“You said that I was easier than Susie Cox. Who wouldn’t be mad at that,” you quipped.
He stared at your lips then your eyes and only smiled. His hand touched your cheek, smoothing out your jawline and then finally holding it.
“You know I don’t believe that…” he whispered as he moved his face towards your lips.
You let him kiss you and you smiled. He was an idiot and a bully but you still let him kiss you. You couldn’t fully get why you did. You closed your eyes as you let him fully relax onto you. His hands started to make their way down to your neck then your back. It was calming, you felt calm as he held you. That was until you felt air circulate you, and Tommy was on the ground with Arvin on top of him hitting him repeatedly. You gasped as you stared at them. You couldn’t even scream from how stunned you were at the sight.
“Stop, Stop it! Arvin quit!” You yelled at him and pulled at him but you couldn’t get him off of Tommy. “Please, Arvin please stop.”
You could feel tears in your eyes. You know once you started crying you couldn’t stop. He only stopped when blood started pouring from Tommy’s nose. You yelped at the sight of his face. The whimpering sounds of the younger man were startling to hear. You couldn’t quell it though as you were being pulled away.
You were farther away from the dance from Tommy’s bloody face. You cried when Arvin shoved you against his truck, “Why did you do that?”
“How could you willingly give yourself to that boy?”
You didn’t know why he asked that or why he even thought it was any of his business.
“You’re not my dad. I shouldn’t have to tell you why I do the things I do and it shouldn’t bother you.”
“I don’t think you understand…” he quietly said as he took your hair in his hands. You screeched when he pulled your head back. He quickly covered your mouth. The searing pain of your hair being ripped and pulled back had you sobbing. You could barely look at Arvin from how blurry it all was.
“From the moment I touched you I claimed you. You don’t get to whore yourself around anymore. Not with me around to stop it.” His sharp words made you quiver against him. “Unless you want me to go to your mother and tell her all the sinful things I’ve watched you do.”
You shook your head whimpering at how tight his hands were around your hair.
“Are you going to be good from now on?” He asked and you nodded your head. His lips curved up at that. “Turn around, hold your dress up, and bend over against the truck.”
You paused for a moment before finally doing what he ordered. You knew crying wasn’t going to get you out of this but you couldn’t stop the tears that traveled down your face. You held up your dress and you bent over the side of his truck. He held your hips tightly and pulled you back so your ass could fully be seen by him. He slapped it harshly once and then again and again. You could barely hold yourself in the position from how bad his slaps burned into your skin. When he was done he pulled down your underwear and stuffed his fingers inside you.
“Soakin’ my fingers,” he whispered in your ear. You tensed at that. Your nails felt like they were going to snap as you gripped his truck for support.
You heard the sound of his zipper going down and the ruffling of clothing. If you could make yourself run right now you would’ve been you couldn’t wield yourself to move. Not even an inch. You gasped when you felt his head push into you. It was going to be a tight fit and you didn’t know if you could handle it. He was so thick that you could feel every vein and inch of him. You whimpered when he finally was flushed against you.
“That’s my good girl,” he said as he smoothed over your ass.
His touch was soft against you like he was saying sorry for slapping you but his thrusts were deep and rough. He was sending a message through them through each powerful thrust. You moaned at the feel of him and when he pulled you close to him, your back was to his chest.
“You’re mine now,” he grunted. “No one else gets to use this anymore. Just me, only me.”
You nodded as he fucked you against his truck. You squeezed your eyes shut when he hit a spot within you that had you cursing his name. He held his hand over your mouth and with one final thrust had you seeing stars. You came all over him. He didn’t stop only going in harder than before. You didn’t think he would come inside you not until he whispered breathily about how you were milking him dry. You mumbled under his hand trying to plead with him. But he only chuckled and held his other hand to your stomach. His finger slipped onto your clit rubbing it over and over again.
You didn’t know you had another in you until you were coming around him a second time. This time it sent him off the edge too. You sobbed when he held himself there planting himself deep inside you. When he pulled out you cringed at the feel of his come dripping down your thighs. No boy has ever came inside you there was no possible way you would ever risk getting pregnant. Yet Arvin did it. Without your permission. You wanted to hit him, to curse at him but you couldn’t even move. Arvin pushed some of his come back into you and pulled your underwear back up.
“Now go inside and give Lenora a good time.”
You nodded quietly doing what he told you to do. You could barely walk but somehow you made it to Lenora. She could tell something happened to you but to be honest you were too out of it to even notice. Just grabbed her and danced. Here on the floor, you could forget about Arvin and your newfound terrifying relationship with him.

Eternity
Tumblr media
Summary: You snooped into something that ended up being more than you can handle. It’s not your fault you were curious. As much as Arvin was your friend, he’d been acting out lately, little did you know that soon you’d be stuck together, for eternity.
Pairing: Arvin Russell x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Violent themes, Kidnapping, Murder, Slightly yandere!Arvin, Cursing, Brief mentions of suicide, and of course never proof read. (Probably needs more warnings than this just let me know)
Nothing, you saw nothing. Your ears still rang, eyes still stung from the hot tears that fell while your brain worked overtime to find reasons for todays events. You weren’t dead? Were you? Your fingers grazed against the odd plastic above you, the stiff material made it difficult to breath. Breathe. Were you still with him? You recalled the gargled speech of Pastor Teagardin as several bullets tore through his chest. A moment you weren’t supposed to be around for, one you were stupid enough to stumble upon.
Brown eyes you’d have believed were heaven sent before today stared back into yours. Arvin Russell. He’d scrambled around to pick up his shell casings so fast, you noticed him wince from them still being hot to the touch. They’d just blown through a man, and he was scooping them up like they were shells on a beach. “Y/N?...Listen to me doll-” Arvin had reached out to you, his unplanned visitor. You couldn’t touch him, you wouldn’t let him touch you. Hurt you too. “Please...Please don’t kill me- I won’t tell nobody, I swear Arvin!” You pleaded to the man through blurry eyes.
Arvin’s soft demeanor shifted as he looked to the ceiling with a click of his tongue. “Now, how could I do that to you my little trinket? Hmm?” His half lidded eyes shifted to you, chin still pulled up as his presence ate you alive. Closer. Until his rugged hands gripped your arm quickly pulling you out of the bloody church with him. “Arvin!-” Your scream fell upon deaf ears as Arvin covered your mouth with a heavy sigh before you were met with a heavy blow to your head.
Now you were here, panicked hands scooted across the black space in search of its end. A sliver of sunlight cut through to your fingers as you found the edge of the dark grey tarp. Pulling it aside you faced upwards in the bed of an old truck staring at the mid day sky. What you’d thought to be sweat before turned out to be blood coming from your temple. You sat up slowly while holding your head, looking around a bit whoosy until you met eyes in the rear view mirror. Brown eyes. You gasped and struggled with the rest of the tarp over your legs, the truck slamming to a stop flinging you against the back glass.
The air in your lungs escaped in a large gust, but you powered on hoisting your leg over the side of the truck bed. There they were again, evil hands burning against your heavenly skin. “HELP! HELP ME PELASE SOMEBODY!” You screamed out as Arvin yanked you into his arms, grunting against you while you tried to kick him. “Damnit Y/N STOP!” Arvin growled, tossing you onto the trucks bench seat. His body slid in next to yours, gripping you tight so he could lock the truck. The cool black barrel against your cheek made you tremble, vison blurring again with a whimper. You’d always thought of Arvin to be decent, maybe even your friend, now he may be the death of you.
“Nah, c’mon now darlin’ don’t- don’t do all at’ now.” Arvin furrowed his brows wiping some of your tears away with his thumb. “Make a man feel bad.” He huffed buckling you in before himself. You stared at the curly haired man in disbelief, “Make you feel bad? You murdered a man!” You shouted, though you dared not much more as Arvin was armed. “I know you was stalkin’ the preacher. I saw you outside his house.” Arvin turned his head towards you with an unimpressed look. “I know. I was watchin’ him for what he did to my Lenora. Raped her. Made her kill herself.” His eyes watched the road again letting you think about his words. Lenora’s baby, of course. Choosing not to press this issue for now, you stayed silent.
“I been watchin’ you too lil’ girl. longer than I was watchin’ that no good preacher. You can’t watch the watcher doll. I was after you first.” Your eyes blew wide. “But, I followed you! I-” Arvin laughed dryly “Dumb lil’ girl. Whatever kinda detective you thought you was, I let you be.” You swallowed thickly choosing to stare at the road with Arvin. He’d been stalking me too. He really was sick. “Where are you taking me?” You mumbled, moving to lean your head against the window. “Wherever I want. I was thinkin’ we’d make home over in Cincinnati.”
We? “What uh, what do you mean we?” You felt like you knew what he was implying, especially after his newest confession. “I figure, you’ve seen too much, know too much. I-I can’t kill you, I love you-” You shook your head. “Arvin you can’t love me! I mean for gods sake you hurt me! You’re sick and you need help!”. Arvin’s jaw tensed “I DO LOVE YOU! DON’T YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE!”. You cried feeling his hand come up to your face, fingers squishing your cheeks in as he pulled you closer. The truck came to a stop as Arvin watched you, a smirk playing on his lips. “I didn’t want to hurt you Y/N, honest. Y-You tried to leave ME.” Arvin pressed a hand against his chest in hurt “I had to, see what you make me do?”
He frowned tired of your crying, placing a kiss to your wounded temple. “M’sorry darlin’.” His warm lips traveled to your cheekbone, then encased your pouted lips. You struggled against him face still in his hand. “I don’t love you.” You sniffled making Arvin’s frown grow deeper, eyes grow a bit dark. His fingers squeezed your poor jaw tighter making you whine in pain. His posture slouching slightly to meet your eyes, noses touching ever so gently. “You love me. Go on. Say. it.” You kept your mouth sealed shut, eyes drifting to the fabric of his jeans, scared of his unstable state. “SAY IT.” You jolted, Arvin’s thunderous voice filling the small space.
Hot breath that smelled of mouthwash and cigarettes fanned across your face. Despite his tantrum, you stayed frozen, he wouldn’t kill you. “You don’t love me?” Arvin’s voice cracked as you shook your head. He forced you to meet his bitter chocolate eyes again, oh how you wished they were sweet like before. “Figure it out.” He grunted, pushing you back from him, continuing to drive. Arvin couldn’t seem to stay mad at you though, his right hand smoothing over your leg curled up on the bench seat. “You’re mine, and we belong, together~” Arvin sang softly to you along with the old crackly radio. His hand halted on your knee before dipping under your floral skirt to rub along the supple skin of your thigh, ignoring your discomfort. “Yes, we belong, together~...” Arvin’s mind had been set, if you didn’t love him, he’d make you fake it until it was true. “For..Eternity.”
Somehow you drifted off to sleep and some time passed, a few hours maybe? The sun had just barely gone down when the truck stuttered to a halt again. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK.” Arvin beat his fist against the steering wheel reading the gas gauge. Arvin’s shouting forced you up right in your seat, the door mechanism unlocking beside you as he climbed out of the truck. Your hand trembled against the truck door handle debating escape. “Don’t get any ideas doll.” The truck door popped open, Arvin standing over you. “What are we supposed to do? Walk?” You cocked a brow at your kidnapper making him roll his eyes “What else? C’mon, maybe we’ll get lucky and somebody’ll pick us up.” He waved a hand while the other grabbed ahold of one of your own. Unsure why you didn’t attempt to run, you let Arvin take your hand as you walked “And if someone doesn’t? Do you know where the next town is?” You huffed kicking a rock. “Nope.” Arvin chuckled at your despair.
“What. What happened with Lenora?” You whispered, unsure of which side of Arvin you’d receive. A soft sigh beside you helped you put your nerves at ease. “Y’know how she used to go a-an’ sit with her momma?” Arvin raised a brow watching you nod. “Well, I left her there one day, an’ I guess, that bastard preacher saw his chance an’ took it.” Arvin’s voice wavered, this was your Arvin. “The baby you mentioned? You think...” You couldn’t help the way your lips pulled in disgust. “I don’t think, I know. Lenora wasn’t just wonderin’ around with anybody. All of a sudden she’s with this preacher is secret. She comes home sick as a dog one day. The next she’s- I-I found her in the sh-shed.” Arvin’s eyes widened “Hanging there. She was cold when I got her down.” He sniffled. “Police come round saying that she was pregnant, they figured it was some kinda incest. But it was that preacher. H-He even tried to talk me onto his side.” Arvin sighed shoving his free hand in his pocket. “Arvin I’m sorry.” You mumbled making him nod.
Luckily for you both after some time, a car honked and pulled up to you both. “My goodness what’s a pair of kids like you doin’ all the way out here?” The large set man chuckled out. He looked to be a bit older than the blonde woman next to him, his hair slightly thinned, a crooked smile that blew smoke out while he spoke to Arvin. “Truck broke down a while back. Y’see my fiancé and I were wanting to find somewhere to start new y’know? Ain’t that right darlin’?” Arvin squeezed your hand. “Yep! Hoping to find a little land of our own.” You sputtered out making the blonde woman nod, the man you’d learn was her husband popped the car door open to let you and Arvin file in.
“Thank you.” You hummed while Arvin instead stayed silent, hand remaining locked in yours. Something about them seemed off to him. The couple rambled about their own lives, photography, religion, how they’d met. To you they seemed like a nice couple on the search for a good photo opportunity. To Arvin, they seemed too close to himself, everything seeming calculated before being said, the small glances between the two before a detail was given. “I hope the two of you don’t mind but, my bladder ain’t what it used to be. we’ll just pull over, yeah just right down in here is fine.” The woman tensed in her seat, watching her husband closely as he got out of the car to take a leak.
“Y/N. I need you to trust me here.” Arvin eyed the gentleman relieving himself, spotting the flash of a gun tucked below his belt. He nudged his head in his direction, dropping his own gun out in the seat for you. “A-Arvin? I can’t.” You shook your head matching Arvin’s whisper. Of course, he didn’t ask if you could, he made a silent demand. So you gripped the pistol in your hand, Arvin quickly popped his door open, snatching the mans gun from his hip. Your eyes tore away from Arvin at the sound of a gun cocking in front of you. Raising Arvin’s gun high matching the terrified woman you shook in your seat “I-I don’t wanna hurt you.” You clenched your jaw watching her finger flick down to her guns trigger. You had no choice. You did the same, pulling the trigger once clenching your eyes shut as two more shots had rung outside the car.
You gasped letting your hand run along your body in search of a bullet wound. She hadn’t hit you? Now came the next problem, you sat face to face with a dead woman, just as scared as you. Why were you right to kill her? You weren’t. Arvin fumbled into the front seat, stopping to take a look at the woman hearing you hyperventilate in the backseat. “You’ve got to breathe Y/N.” Arvin called to you, snatching some money and a few other things from the car before joining you in the back seat. “I-I c-Can’t!” You cried still clutching the hot gun in your hand “I didn’t wanna Arvin! I-I thought she was gonna, gonna shoot me!” You sobbed, letting Arvin pull you out of the car. “We gotta get out of here and you gotta stop that.” His face gave away his own nerves, walking back up the road you’d come out of.
You wiped your eyes looking down at the gun in your hand. You stopped in your tracks, eyes lifting slowly to Arvin who kept walking. Bringing the gun up you aim it towards him, Arvin Russell, a murderer, an old friend. Only hearing his own footsteps Arvin stopped with a laugh “I can’t carry you all the way doll, c’mon-” His voice caught in his throat at the sight of you. A soft breeze blew the loose hair around your face, your eyes leaked tears that read every emotion under the sun. How could he have forgotten about the gun? Arvin didn’t reach for the gun he’d stolen from his victim, he settled on taking steps toward you. “I’m not your doll.” You hissed through gritted teeth yet Arvin still came towards you. “Don’t come any closer! I’ll blow your fucking head off.”
Arvin smiled at you, stepping in front of your gun. “Okay. Do it. I’m not sure where you think you’ll go, I’m all you’ve got.” He picked at his nails watching your mind crumble. “And you are my doll, sweet, naïve little puppet.” The gun in your hand weighing more than you could bear thud against the dirt road. He was right. A gentle kiss placed itself against your forehead, hands holding your jaw to tilt it so Arvin could look you in the eye. “It was us or them. N’from what I found, they weren’t no good neither.” He lifted the photo of a mangled man on a picnic blanket to you making you gasp and avert your eyes. “You ain’t tainted darlin’ you’re just surviving.” Arvin nussled his nose against your cheek making you shudder and nod. He wiped your tears like he had before, this time much more sincere, like your old Arvin might would.
“We gotta get out of here.” You met Arvin’s gaze, not able to match his smile. “Atta girl!” He beamed, pulling you in for a kiss which you stood still for, but let him. Arvin picked your gun up off the ground and you were off, leaving the couple in the distance. The cool feeling of metal sliding up your finger made you glance over to Arvin confused. A ring, her ring. “Just as a place holder for now, for our story. I’ll get you one of your own later.” He looped his thicker fingers into yours. You should be horrified, but you’re not. In fact, you’re flattered. For the first time in you endeavor, you offered Arvin a smile.

Arvin gets riled up when you come to him upset, “Those God Damn, no good sons of Bitches! Always picking on you,” he breathes out gripping the wheel tighter as he drove pass the school.
Arvin just dropped you off home, knowing that your safe. He can start to mean business. He parked up out front at some old, rusty garage.
Arvin took out a smoke, lightening it up as he took a puff he sees those hillbillies. Not even thinking that those boys, who seem to bully you. Actually, work there! Which is a coincidence.
“Fucking, thinking they can mess with my girl! Well they got another thing coming,” Arvin scoffed, taking a last drag out of the smoke. Stepping out his truck, Arvin threw away the cigarette as he walks inside the garage.
Seeing that one of them is fixing a hood, he grabs him.
“What the fuck!” Chuck, screeched noticing it’s Arvin!
“You son of a bitch,” Arvin lowly, spoke as he punched the boy’s face. Definitely, giving him a red mark as Arvin leaves him on the floor.
“Oh, Fuck,” Chuck groaned, loudly still hazed by the attack. He was a weaker one out of the three.
“What’s all the commotion,” Tommy comes out scoffing with Nick giving Chuck a raise eyebrow.
Arvin crouched down by the car, so the other two couldn’t see him. He planned his attack carefully, seeing that Chuck distracted them for a minute.
“Arvin,” Chuck breathes out, “What Arvin Russel?” Tommy smirked with Nick.
“Yh,” Chuck muttered, rolling his eyes, “He just punched me,”
“No shit,” Tommy laughed, “That devil will have it, come to beat us up over your little girlfriend,” Tommy shouted out teasing Arvin, “She don’t deserve a man like you, Russel! She deserves better,” he scoffs.
Arvin tighten his jaw line as he listens to Tommy’s filthy, dirty, lairing words. He shook his head, trying not to become mad and blow his cover.
Proceeding to take a base ball bat off of the wall, Arvin smacked Nick right around the waist.
“Fuck,” Nick hissed, holding his side, he charged at Arvin but he tripped Nick up. “As you was saying Watford!” Arvin grins, throwing the bat away.
“Fucking, Russel,” Tommy grumbles, “Leave,”
“I don’t think so,” Arvin coming closer, he punched him. Tommy, punched him back In the face.
“How do you like that Russel,” Tommy smirks, “Bet your girl would be better if she opened her pretty, little legs to me,”
“Not a chance in hell, Watford,” Arvin wiped the blood from his nose, Nick is still on the ground just recovering.
Chuck is just staying out of it for obvious reasons.
Tommy grabs Arvin and they push and shove each other until Arvin goes into a car, Tommy punches Arvin’s face.
“Fuck,” Arvin hisses, Tommy was going to give another blow to his face but he gripped his wrist. Bending it backwards as Arvin pushes Tommy off of him, he punches him into the face this time.
Pushing him down on the floor, kicking him until he is black and blue.
“Don’t,” punch, “You” punch, Ever,” punch, “Bully,” punch, “My Girl,” Punch, “Again!”
“You understand, me,” Arvin growls gripping Tommy’s shirt really tight, ”You no good soon of a bitch,” Tommy just smirks as Arvin threw him down on the floor.
Nick scrambled off of the floor, throwing a punch Arvin’s way. Arvin had his nose bleeding again but punched Nick right in the jaw.
“Stay away from Y/N, I swear Damn you ain’t gonna see light again,” Arvin grunts walking away back to his truck, Tommy and Nick holding their faces as Chuck gets the ice.
It’s not really Chuck that causes problems, it’s just that he follows those boys. What a coward he is! Arvin thought.
Arvin is now bruised up with red marks across his face including his jaw and nose.
“Fuck, Y/N gonna kill me,” Arvin breathe out looking at his knuckles as he drives off. picking up a cigarette and puffing out smoke is only when he sighs in relief.
You didn’t mind Arvin smoking but he knew that you much rather, for him to kiss your face off. Arvin dose just that, when he is with you. Grabbing your face, when you least expect it because Arvin may not like much but he cherishes you like his momma.
If only she was alive, momma would of loved Y/N Arvin thought as he pulled up to your face place. Arvin didn’t get sad very often, seeing that he needs to be tough. Especially, in this world around him and to definitely, protect you.
Arvin grumbles shutting his car to knock on your door, only smiling when he sees your face.
“Arvin?” You furrowed your eyebrows as he said see you tomorrow to you, earlier But none the less you pulled him into a bone crushing hug.
“Sweet girl,” Arvin kisses your forehead, looking into your eyes as he puts your hair behind your ear. He softly, strokes your cheek with his thumbs as he licks his lips at you.
“Arvin, why are you here?” You giggle, still not noticing at what bruises and cuts he has because it’s dark out since it is night time.
Arvin hugged you tighter as your question came out. Nuzzling his face into your shoulder, “Can we go inside,” he whispers in your ear. You nod taking his hand leading him to your room.
You sat on the bed with him, looking up to his face properly. “Arvin Russel, what happened to your face and hands?” You gasped, holding up his hand into yours.
“Um, well,” Arvin gulped, looking the other way. He knew that you wasn’t going to take this lightly but only wanting to protect his girl.
“Silly boy aren’t you,” You sigh, “You stay there! I’m going to get the first aid box, MR,” You walk off swaying your hips just a little bit, enough to tease Arvin.
Luckily, you had the house all for yourself. Your parents are out on a business occasion and well your sibling is out at a friend’s.
Arvin adjusted his cap as you came back, being quite nervous around you. He’s just a love sick, cute little puppy around you. May act tough and rough but with you he melts like chocolate.
“You going to enlighten me on how you got these injures?” You softly asked, dapping some cotton onto Arvin’s scratch marks on his face.
“Fuck,” Arvin hissed, pouting. You shook your head kissing him on the lips.
Secretly, making him feel 10x better. As you thought, such a sucker for you being a love sick puppy and all!
“I went to a garage, turns out Tommy and his gang work there,” Arvin winced at the pain, you kissed him again.
“Oh right,” You narrowed your eyes at him, playfully. Arvin looked down, feeling ashamed.
“Arvin, don’t look down. Look at me, Baby,” You gently, kissed his lips when he winced at one of the cuts being cleaned.
“I’m not mad,” You give him Adorable, puppy eyes, “I just don’t like seeing you hurt because I care and love you,” you breath out.
“I know, Y/N. I care and love you, Darlin!” Arvin tried to smile, “Sorry, I really need to clean them up, Pretty boy!” You kiss him passionately.
“I had enough of those no good sons of bitches bullying, my girl,” Arvin scoffed, “I wanted to teach them a lesson, they got it worse than me,” referring to the injuries.
You move onto his hands next, damping the bruises with some cotton and water. Looking at his chest you see blood marks on them.
Your heart swelled at the mention of being his girl, “Arvin I’m not saying it’s ok to beat the shit out of them because you got yourself hurt! But..” you paused, looking him into his eyes breathing out slowly.
“Thank you for protecting me because I really do appreciate all your hard work and love for me,” You smile, Arvin actually smiling back as you move down to his chest, side area.
“May I?” You ask giggling, seeing that his flannel is kinda bloody. You giggled because you had to take it off to fix him.
“Yes, sweet girl,” Arvin, kissed your forehead. “You really did yourself this time! Didn’t you,” You sigh as you see you need to get a needle to stitch him back up.
“Yh, sorry,” Arvin pouts towards you, hissing at the pain straight after, “Its ok, Oops! I should of gave you a warning,” You mentioned, kissing his lips.
“No, need I’ve been through worse,” Arvin chuckled, shaking his head. You put three stitches in securely, giving a kiss to his skin where it is marked you use the cotton to clean it.
“Your too good to me, Doll,” Arvin smiled, “Well what can I say?” You grinned, “Got the best boy to be my boyfriend,”
“As if,” Arvin scoffed, “But better than those no good sons of bitches,” he smirks back at you.
“Damn right,” you giggle, “I’m all done cleaning you up,” you pack the medical box up, putting it back into place.
“Thank you so much, Darling,” Arvin caressed your cheek, kissing your lips passionately as he slipped his tongue in to taste yours, “The best god, damn nurse I ever had,” he whispered between kisses.
“I know,” You smirked, straddling his lap as you wrap your arms around his neck, “Your welcome, Pretty boy,” You kiss his lips again, running your fingers through his brown, fluffy hair.
“You are beautiful, Darling,” Arvin runs his hands into your hair looking up into your gorgeous eyes, he smiles leaning in to kiss you again.
“And you are handsome, Arvi,” You booped his nose, laughing.
Without warning Arvin lifted you up placing you on your bed, you giggled.
“ARVIN,” You squealed, as you hit the fluffy pillows.
“Here, Darling. Your duvet,” Arvin wrapped your cover around you, kissing you on the forehead such a gentleman as always to you.
You snuggle up into Arvin’s chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist, “Sweet girl,” he whispers, stroking your head.
“Sweet boy,” You giggled again as Arvin is kissing your face off.
“Sweet for you, my love,” Arvin winked, giving you a cheeky smile as he leaned in to kiss your perfectly, plumped lips.
Taking his thumb to caress your cheek, gently stroking it as Arvin deepen the kiss with his tongue. Your breath hitched feeling the sweet, taste of his lips.
“Your too sweet,” Arvin moaned into the kiss as you grabbed his face gently feeling his jaw line tighten.
“Says you,” You smirked into the kiss, swirling your tongue back into his mouth. Your hands adventure through smoothing his locks, ruffling his hair line as he brings you closer.
“You taste so good,” You moan back into his lips, “So do you, Darlin,” Arvin smiled, actually generally smiled.
Arvin is always happy with you, no matter what. He finds his peace and comfort in you. He always wants to protect you because your his girl.
“Fuck, so precious! Darlin,” Arvin took your hair behind your ear, looking into your eyes, “You are too good to me, Love,”
“You already said that,” You giggle, kissing him again slowly as you take every single, perfect feature of his in.
“I’ll say it again,” Arvin said, “No need,” You shook your head, pressing a finger to his lips.
“Because there is no such thing, we are good for each other. That is what I believe,” You whisper, right into Arvin’s ear, “That, tickles,” he chuckles.
“Good,” You smiled, pushing back his hair away from his eyes to see him.
Arvin pulled you back down onto your chested as you yawned.
“You tired, Darlin?” Arvin asked, you nodded your head, “Sleep Beautiful,” he kisses your cheek.
“Love you, Sweetheart,” Arvin whispers, “Goodnight,”
“Love you too, Arvin,” You smiled into your chest as you said, “Night, Night,” now, kissing him on the cheek.
Arvin blows the candle out, closing his eyes as you snuggle further back into him. He noticed you have kicked the covers off of you earlier, so he put them back on you.

Dark!Arvin Russell Short Story 1
Written: circa early 2020
Pairing: Black Female Reader x dark!Arvin Russell
valkryienymph asked:
Arvin russel headcannon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sweet lovely waitress. Kind eyes, soft skin.
How was he to know you would get so worked up? Fate, God, whoever decides the path of man, told him you would be perfect for him. Ya, he knew it in his gut like he knew the sun would rise the next day.
A nice looking girl for sure. In all his travels, he hadn’t seen a more beautiful woman. Even prettier with your skirt hiked up around your thighs.
Arvin fiddles with your folds after he rolls your off white panties to the side.
“I don’t feel too good,” you huff out.
Arvin leans across the seat of his truck, presses his face nearer to your ear.
“Now you be still darlin’“ he whispers in your ear. “Do what I say and nothing bad will happen to ya.”
He can hear you swallow. He thinks about the stories from the guys on the road, their tales of a women and how their throats are wet and tight.
But he pushes the thought away. No, he wants what you have between your legs.
You clap them shut tight on his hand, you push at his chest.
“You son of bitch!” you hiss and shake. It gives him pause, he wonders how much fight you got in you.
“What you ain’t never been with a man?”
He chances another kiss, you swipe away and he brings the hand from between your legs and holds your jaw.
He smears your wetness across your bottom lip before crushing his lips on to yours.
“Taste how much you want it?”
Like a fighting cat you swat at him but it doesn’t do any good.
“Now I told you I would give this here ride home. But-”
Arvin’s tight mouth shifted into a grin in the dark of the cab.
“You gotta treat me nice. You hear me?”
You didn’t move much after that, and only when he forced it. He pulled you by the legs, made you lay flat on the old worn out seat. He nestled his hips right between them, shoved up your dressed and pulled off your panties.
Not taking his eyes off you, Arvin removed his cap, swept a hand threw his brown strands before unbuckling his belt. Your sniffling did little to make him feel sorry for your plight. He unzipped his jeans, brought out his cock, rubbed it a bit while he slid a flinger up and down your wet slit.
“Be nice now,” he said softly and laid on top of you.
Arvin pushed inside, he held your breasts over the top of your uniform and thrusted hard.
“That’s it honey.”
He pumped harder, licked your lips. “I can tell it’s hurtin’ you something bad.” And he thumped harder. “Tight little hole for me, huh?”
He held on to you, hunched over your body, his hips smacking against the backs of your thighs and ass.
“I’m gunna finish in it.”
You shook your head and brought your hands back to his chest and tried to push him off.
Arvin leaned in harder, pressing his weight on to your tits, holding you down as you tried to wiggled your hips away.
That seemed to urge him on. Arvin tossed his head back, groaned loud as he came inside you.
And he stayed there for a minute, to you it felt like ages. His heavy breathing began to level out as he swayed a bit in the dark.
“Now,” he whispered roughly. “Don’t go tellin’ people you got yourself in trouble.”
He pulled out from your body. Fixed his pants as you shifted away from him correcting your own clothing.
Arvin sat back down behind the wheel and turned to look at your wide eyes.
“I’m gunna be in town.”
When you didn’t say anything he reached over the back of the seat and grabbed the side of your head.
“You hear me? I’m gunna be here.” He let go and caressed your temple. “I’m gunna make a home for us. Don’t you worry.”

The week went by quickly. It became a normal schedule -- Y/N had cheer practice until three o'clock, Arvin would pick her up then and take her straight to work. Recently, Ralph had been making Y/N work longer hours, which meant that she'd have to stay at work until eight or nine instead of seven. Then, Arvin would either drive to either her house or his house, let her take a shower, and fall asleep.
Y/N was exhausted. It was pretty obvious. She barely spoke (besides something small like 'mhm' or 'uh-huh'), she barely ate, and her grades were starting to slip.
Arvin looked over at Y/N, who's eyes were closed with her head leaning against the window. Arvin tried his hardest not to hit any bumps on the way to the diner, but every few minutes, he'd accidentally run over a pothole and cause Y/N's eyes to softly flutter open.
"Sorry," Arvin muttered quietly, glancing at his girl. He felt so terrible for her, wishing she didn’t have to work this hard. He wanted to walk into that damned diner, tell her weird boss that Y/N quit, and drive somewhere far away. But he knew that this was not a possibility, and that only made him feel worse.
"S'okay," Y/N whispered, keeping her eyes open as she realized that Arvin was getting closer to the diner. She sighed, wishing she could have just five more minutes to rest.
Arvin came to a stop at the diner as he usually did. Once he put the car in park, he looked at Y/N. "We're here."
Y/N nodded and sat up. A yawn came up in her throat, but she pushed it back down. She knew yawning would only make her feel more tired. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Arvin replied. His heart broke for Y/N. "Don't work yourself too hard, okay? I'll be here at eight-thirty. Promise.”
Y/N scoffed. "I'll try." She leaned forward and kissed Arvin's lips. She turned to get out, but before she could, Arvin grabbed her wrist. Y/N turned back to Arvin, her tired eyes focused on his.
Arvin sighed, feeling worse and worse for the girl. "I love you,"
Y/N gave the boy a soft smile. "I love you too."
Of course, Y/N's day was by far the hardest. Every customer she had was rude to her, she barely got any tips, and Ralph still had her scrubbing on that same damn grease spot that Y/N was pretty sure had been there for years.
Thankfully, it was Friday. Y/N could finish up her work, Arvin would pick her up, and they would spend the whole weekend together. That was currently the only thing keeping Y/N going, the thought of taking the weekend off without work or school and just being with Arvin and Lenora.
Another thing that made Y/N hopeful was that she'd finally made contact with her dad. She'd called him from the diner phone during her break about three times before he finally answered, with a gruff, "Hello."
"Dad?" Y/N almost whispered, just realizing how long it'd been without hearing her father's voice. When William Lewis didn't reply, Y/N continued, her voice shaking slightly. "Everything alright?"
William sighed. "Everything's alright, baby. I'm just sittin' 'round, writin' a few words."
This made Y/N's heart light up slightly. "You're writin'?"
"Oh, yeah," William answered, the joy that Y/N used to hear in his voice as a kid starting to come back. "I've written a few pages. It's not as fast as I used to be able to, but I'm getting there."
Y/N felt her mouth turn up into a smile. "That's alright, daddy. Better than nothin'."
"You've got that right, baby."
Y/N was silent for a moment, trying to collect her thoughts. Maybe her dad was finally out of the rut that he'd been in for years. For so long, her father had kept himself in his room, barely eating, barely talking, and refusing to write. When Marie died, he'd tried so hard to come off as 'strong' and 'collected', but the refusal to talk about his feelings eventually sent him into a depressed state. He'd refuse to talk to anyone, even Y/N, and he wouldn't even consider looking at a type-writer.
But now it seemed like maybe he was finally out of it.
"I'm gonna be spendin' the night with the Russells tonight," Y/N said softly.
"Sounds good to me, baby," William answered. "Be good for Ms. Russell, ya hear?"
"Of course," Y/N almost laughed. She just couldn't contain how happy she was that she was finally getting her father back. "I'll see you later. Love you."
"I love you too," William replied before hanging up the phone.
The rest of the night seemed to go differently for Y/N. The customers seemed nicer (though they were still considered rude, they didn't call her racially motivated names as much as they used to), Ralph mostly left her alone (of course besides the lewd stares at her legs and chest, but Y/N was used to that it this point), and the night seemed to go by much faster.
Eventually, eight-thirty rolled around. Y/N looked out to see Arvin's baby blue Bel-Air pulled up, the wind-shield wipers violently running back and forth against the wind-shield. Y/N made her way to the back of the diner and took off her apron. That feeling was definitely one of the best ones -- taking off her apron and hanging it up. Soon, she'd be able to take off her stupid blue waitress dress and her stupid hat and her stupid shoes and change into more comfortable clothes. Soon she'd get to stay up all night talking with Lenora and Arvin until she fell asleep and not have to wake up early the next day.
"Headin' out, Y/N?" A gruff voice asked as Y/N put away her apron. Y/N recognized the voice immediately. She felt her heart drop into her stomach.
"Oh, yes sir, Mr. Alby," Y/N replied, smiling at her boss but already starting to feel uncomfortable. The advances that he'd been making recently were starting to get worse. It started with the weird looks -- glancing at Y/N's chest whenever he thought she wasn't looking. Looking at her legs as she sat down or stood up. Then it moved onto a more physical approach -- touching her shoulder whenever he spoke with her. Kissing her cheek randomly. Unnecessarily grabbing onto her waist as he walked by. Each and every advance made Y/N more uncomfortable than the last. But she needed this job. She didn't know of anyone else who would give her a chance like this.
So Y/N just had to deal with it.
Unfortunately, this meant a lot of weird hugs from her boss.
Ralph nodded. “Well, have a good weekend. I’ll see you on Monday, right?”
Y/N smiled. “Yes sir.”
She watched as Ralph’s arms opened, knowing this meant he wanted another one of his weird hugs that Y/N despised giving. Y/N stepped closer, loosely wrapping her arms around Ralph’s shoulders for an uncomfortable hug.
After a second, she could feel Ralph's hand starting to slide down her back, getting closer and closer to somewhere that she definitely did not want his hand to be. Y/N felt herself start to pull away from the hug, but Ralph's grip on her wouldn't loosen. Y/N's heart began to beat harder as she tried to push herself away. But Ralph was relentless. His hand was now just getting to the small of her back, and only gripping harder as his hands almost reached their destination.
But before he could get there, Y/N heard the familiar ding of the door opening. Y/N looked through the small window the opened into the diner and saw Arvin standing there, wet from the rain. His dark gray shirt was almost black now from the heavy rain. His hair was curlier than usual and dripped water onto the floor. Y/N could see Arvin looking around, probably wondering where Y/N was.
Ralph looked over to see who had walked in, distracted for just a moment. Y/N pulled away from her boss and walked towards the front of the diner, giving him one last 'goodbye' and going to Arvin. She strutted towards Arvin, watching as his face lit up at the sight of her.
"What are you doing?" Y/N asked, grabbing onto Arvin's hand and pulling him out of the diner. The two jogged towards the car, trying to stay as dry as possible. Arvin opened the passenger's side door for Y/N and waited for her to climb in.
A part of Y/N was happy that her boyfriend came in and practically saved her from her boss, but the other side was nervous. All of those white people eating their food just witnessed a colored girl and a white boy holding hands and leaving a diner together. Things like that tended to make them nervous, and when they were nervous, they tend to make assumptions. And a lot of the time, assumptions get someone killed. Sure, it was none of their business, but that's never stopped anyone before.
"I got worried," Arvin explained, shutting the door and jogging to the other side. He got in and slammed the door shut beside him. "You were takin' longer than usual."
"Sorry," Y/N apologized. "My boss was talkin' to me."
"It's alright," Arvin began driving to his house. "Just makin' sure."
Back at the Russell house, Arvin pulled up as close to the house as he could, since the rain hadn't let up for even a second. He and Y/N opened their doors, laughing lightly as they ran straight to the house and onto the porch. Before Y/N could open the door, Arvin grabbed onto her wrist to stop her. "Hold on just a second."
Y/N turned with a confused look. "Everything alright?"
"I just," Arvin sighed, his grip not faltering from Y/N's wrist. Y/N waited patiently for Arvin to continue. She knew how hard it was for him to speak his feelings.
Arvin stuck his tongue out between his lips, wetting them slightly. He needed a cigarette.
"I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you," Arvin said slowly, looking right into Y/N's eyes.
"What do you mean?" Y/N asked, moving her hand from Arvin's hold, but quickly taking his hand in hers instead. Her thumb gently rubbed the back of his hand.
"I'm just proud of you. For gettin' a job, holdin' your own. And for still doin' great in school and being on the cheerleadin' team. I know workin' at that diner ain't the most fun job in the world, and I can see how tired you've been. But I'm still proud of you." Arvin shrugged. "That's all."
Y/N felt as if her heart both rose and sank.
Y/N did hate her job. She hated the customers, she hated (most) of her coworkers, she hated her boss. She hated taking orders and taking their food out. She hated having piping hot coffee "accidentally" spilled on her nearly every day. She wanted so badly to just quit and pray that maybe a different, better run diner would hire her.
But now she couldn't. Not when Arvin just told her how proud he was of her for not giving up.
Y/N smiled up at her boyfriend, thanking him. He nodded and bent down, moving his hand to the back of Y/N's head and gently kissing her forehead. Next, he leaned closer and kissed her lips softly. Arvin loved the feeling of Y/N’s lips. They were always so soft. He loved the way Y/N’s hand would always grab onto his waist to hold onto, almost like if she didn’t grab onto him she would fall over. Like he was the only person that could hold her up. Kissing Y/N had to be one of Arvin’s favorite things.
After he pulled away, he nodded towards the door, gesturing that they could go inside now.
As she opened the door, Y/N and Arvin were bombarded with the strong scent of fried chicken. Y/N gave Arvin a confused look, which he returned to her. Arvin, whose hand hadn't moved from Y/N's waist, looked around for his grandmother, uncle, and step-sister.
"Gran'ma?" Arvin called out but was interrupted by many voices laughing from the kitchen.
"Oh! Arvin, honey, we're in here!" Emma called out from the dining room. Arvin and Y/N made their way to the dining room to see the rest of the Russells sitting around the table, eating. Y/N's eyes flickered around the table. She saw Emma, Earksell, Lenora, and ...
And Pastor Teagardin and his wife.
"Come sit with us, you two!" Emma smiled, gesturing for Y/N and Arvin to sit. Y/N and Arvin did so, Arvin pulling out a chair for Y/N to sit and pushing it in once she took her seat beside Lenora. He rounded the chair and sat beside her, his hand immediately landing on her thigh and rubbing the skin softly for a moment, to calm her. He could tell immediately that Y/N wasn’t comfortable with pastor Teagardin being there.
"What's goin' on?" Arvin asked, referring to the Teagardins who had never seemed interested enough to visit the Russells before now.
"Well, Pastor Teagardin and his wife decided to stop by and have dinner with us," Emma said happily. "Ain't that so sweet of them?"
"So sweet," Arvin muttered under his breath, grabbing a plate and getting some food. He must've been too worried about Y/N not getting too wet outside to notice that another car had been parked in front of the house.
Y/N also grabbed a plate and got some chicken, collard greens, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a roll. Sure, she was nervous, but she was still starved. As the dinner went on, she stayed almost completely silent the whole time, just eating her food and waiting for this night to be over.
"So, Y/N," Pastor Teagardin spoke, looking at the opposite end of the table where Y/N had just taken a bite out of her potatoes. Y/N could feel Arvin stiffen beside her, but she grabbed onto his hand to hopefully calm him. Y/N looked over at the pastor, waiting for him to continue. "Emma tells me you're workin' at the diner down the road."
Y/N nodded politely, swallowing her food, and taking a sip of her sweet tea. "Yes, sir."
"How do you like it?" Teagardin asked, watching the girl closely.
Y/N almost gulped. "I like it real well, sir. The pay is pretty good, and every so often I get a good tip."
Teagardin nodded. "That's good. You doin' alright at school?"
Y/N shrugged. "I'm doin' okay. Between school, cheer, and work, it can get to be a lot."
Pastor Teagardin nodded in understanding. "The Lord said, 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.' Philippians chapter four, verse six."
Y/N didn't know what to say to that. She nodded and took another bite of her mashed potatoes and gravy.
"What about y'all's relationship?" Teagardin continued, causing Arvin to start choking on his greens.
Y/N closed her eyes and sighed, wishing this night could be over. Once Arvin was able to breathe again, he looked up at the pastor and muttered out, "Sorry?"
"The Lord also said, 'Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.' First Corinthians, chapter six, verses eighteen through twenty." Teagardin said, glancing over at Emma, who looked like she was about to faint right there.
Arvin didn't want to make this night worse. He really didn't. He wanted to finish up their dinner, scoop Y/N into his arms, and fall asleep on his bed. He wanted to wake up in the middle of the day tomorrow and take her on a picnic somewhere in a grassy valley, maybe even take another nap there too. He did not want to fan the flame that was Pastor Teagardin.
But he just couldn't help himself.
"Are you implyin' that me and Y/N have been sexually immoral?" Arvin asked, sitting up in his chair a little bit. Y/N could already see his face beginning to redden with anger. She wanted so badly to get up, grab Arvin, and lock them in his room for the rest of the night. But she sat in her seat with her head down, playing with her food.
"Arvin," Emma gently whispered, but Arvin ignored her, not looking away from the pastor.
"I'm not tryin' to imply anything," Teagardin shook his head, looking between Arvin and Y/N. He noticed how different the two were, besides physical. Arvin was fully sat up, arms crossed and staring deeply into his soul. Y/N, on the other hand, hadn't looked away from her plate. He did notice, however, that while one hand was playing with her food, the other was under the table and probably resting on Arvin's lap. "I'm simply statin' that y'all two better be careful."
"Why should we be careful?" Arvin didn't back down.
"Next time I may not be the one catchin' y'all in the backseat of your car, is all I'm sayin'." Teagardin said lowly, causing Emma to gasp quietly from her seat.
Arvin could only feel his heartbeat quickening. "Y'know, that reminds me," He cocked his head to the side, his eyes never leaving the pastor. "Why were you out there that night? What were you doin'?"
This question seemed to take the pastor by surprise. He swallowed thickly and looked around the room, noticing that everyone (including Y/N and his own wife) had their eyes on him, waiting for an answer.
Y/N had also been wondering the answer to this question. She found it a little odd that he happened to be driving around that late at night and decided to stop and talk to the two teenagers. She was eager to hear his side of the story.
"I was just ... " Teagardin started slowly. "I was just takin' a drive, is all."
Arvin hummed in fake understanding. "Takin' a drive that late at night? Sounds a little suspicious to me, sir."
"Arv," Y/N whispered harshly, squeezing his thigh gently, but Arvin couldn't stop. Pastor Teagardin talking about his and Y/N's relationship only fueled Arvin's anger. Teagardin knew nothing about those two. He was just some guy from Tennessee who thought because he was a pastor that he had to know everything about everyone. And Arvin was definitely the type of person who liked his privacy.
"What are you sayin' boy?" Teagardin nearly grunted. Arvin smirked, knowing he was making this man mad. That was what he wanted -- to make him mad. That way Arvin could show everyone that he shouldn't be trusted. Arvin knew that Emma, Lenora, and Earksell, and even Y/N had some sort of trust in this man.
"I'm not sayin' nothin'," Arvin shook his head and leaned back in his seat, knowing he'd made his mark. Teagardin was about to explode.
Y/N looked from Arvin to the pastor. She didn't dare utter a word, she was already not very fond of this entire conversation. A part of her was sort of pissed at Arvin for making this night harder than it should've been. She glanced over at Arvin with a glare, not happy with him. Arvin, now leaned back with his arms crossed over his strong chest, nearly smirked as he watched Teagardin try to calm himself down.
But then his eyes looked over at Y/N, and his heart dropped.
Did he go too far?
"I think we'll be headin' out now," Pastor Teagardin grumbled, standing up and helping his wife stand as well. Everyone else, except Arvin, followed in suit, standing and walking with the Teagardins over to the front door.
"Thank you so much for your time, pastor," Emma smiled graciously. She stuck out her hand for the pastor to shake, and he did so. After shaking her hand, he also shook Earksell's. Next, he looked over to Y/N and Lenora, taking both of their hands and kissing them. Y/N laughed uncomfortably and put both of her hands behind her back when the pastor let go.
Arvin, who was still sitting in the dining room, scoffed and rolled his eyes. It was pathetic watching the pastor try to move in on two teenage girls. Arvin was almost positive that Teagardin did that just because he knew how close Y/N and Lenora were to Arvin. Arvin stood and walked over to Y/N, grabbing her hand and pulling her away.
When they made it to Arvin's room, Arvin shut the door behind him. He didn't realize how upset he was until he felt Y/N grab his squeezed fists. His closed eyes then opened, looking straight into Y/N's. She looked beautiful. Her hair was a little messy from work, her eyes were lidded heavily, and her shoulders were slumped. But Arvin knew she'd stay up as late as he needed her to be, and that was one of the reasons he loved her.
"I'm okay," Arvin put his hands on Y/N's shoulders and rubbed, giving her a small massage. Y/N's eyes closed immediately and she let out a soft breath. "I'm okay."
"Are you sure?" Y/N asked, her eyes still shut from the relief.
Arvin pulled Y/N closer, wrapping his arms around his girl. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and slowly swayed them back and forth almost like they were dancing.
"Let's go to bed," Arvin whispered.

You Go To My Head - Two
gif by @arrans| divider by @firefly-graphics
I wanted to write an Arvin Russell piece for a while and so I’m going to sprinkle in some experiences that my grandma had when she met her second husband when she moved to Los Angeles in the 60′s. Yes, I am a romantic at heart, even if I write my usual dark things. Sometimes I have a heart. Sometimes.
This just makes me happy to write. I’ll throw a fact or two that I’ve added into the comments that I’ve thrown into the fic. Tag list will be below.
Arvin Russell x Black Female Reader (anyone can read, of course, but I am not shying away from certain attitudes that fit the time period so just a warning.)
Warnings: Nothing at the moment. We’re introducing the antagonist at the end of the chapter.
Previous: One
Summary | A stranger at a diner with a violent past hitchhikes his way to Los Angeles in the 1960′s, intent on passing through until a small act of kindness from a waitress catches his eye and his heart.
Tumblr media
His hand brushes against yours once, gently making you move away from the edge of the busy street as he takes up the space where you were walking. It’s a safety tactic, one you’ve seen a few times that makes you hide your smile as Arvin adjusts his cap over his head.
“Born and raised here?”
You nod, trying to slow your steps just enough to draw out the conversation. It’s been mostly trading observations about the people you come across. He’s a good judge of character but you get the sense that he doesn’t trust people much. Not that you can blame him.
“Sure am,” you answer, his eyes lifting to the sky to stare at the skyscrapers  as you follow suit. “They’re big, aren’t they?”
“I used to see ‘em on postcards. Looks like they can touch the heavens.” He gazes back down, eyes on you now as you continue on.
“Any family here?”
“No. What’s left of them are still in Ohio. Bad times. Needed to get away.”
You don’t pry. It’s not your place and you can tell by his quiet tone that he doesn’t want to expand further. Your place of work has taught you how to flip a conversation and so you do just that.
“Los Angeles is a different world. If you plan to stay, that is. Otherwise it’s a good place to visit.”
Arvin shoves his hands in his pockets after he gives a small shrug.
“Haven’t given it a thought, whether I’m staying or not. Got a quick job in the meantime. Save up some money then who knows.”
You can’t hide your surprise but you know better. It’s much easier for someone like him to find a job than you.
“Where at? If you don’t mind me asking,” you say quickly, not wanting to be rude.
“Repair shop down past… Pico, I think it’s called?”
You stop in your tracks then. There’s only one repair shop on La Brea and that’s Ray’s. Ray hired people from all walks of life in his shop but he was known to run a tight ship. It paid well, you knew that by the amount of tips you’d get when one of his men would stop by for a late night dinner.
“Everything alright?” He asks. You realize your expression gives you away as you blink and nod your head.
“Yeah. You’re a lucky man, Arvin. Ray doesn’t just hire anyone. Must have seen something special in you.”
“I guess these hands are good for something,” Arvin teases as you continue on your walk.
When you reach the apartment complex, you can tell he’s surveying it, looking at it carefully as his jaw works gently. You don’t know why but you feel compelled to tell him everything.
“Fancy, right? I just rent a room from this lady down the way. Don’t have to pay much rent since our families knew each other. Thank you,” you pause, turning to give him a smile. “You didn’t have to walk with me all this way.”
“I wanted to.” It’s matter of fact and you try to take it as a compliment as you awkward stick out your hand.
“So, Thursday then. It’s officially nice to meet you, Arvin.”
When he reaches for your hand, it’s slightly calloused but warm, his fingers brushing over the top of your hand as he applies a gentle pressure.
“It’s nice to meet you too. And you’re welcome. It was my pleasure to make sure you got home safe.”
When your hand falls away, he gives a quick nod, turning to walk back as you stare for a moment. You aren’t sure if you’ll actually see him again but you’re grateful for the walk, digging through your purse to find your house key before you head up the steps.
Tumblr media
Arvin takes off his cap when you slide down his pancakes and cup of coffee. You were busier than you anticipated this morning, a fresh wave of laborers huddling up at the counter that kept you on your toes. It gave Thomas something to do in the early morning hours while you set about refilling empty cups and doling out condiments.
“Good morning,” you greet, his smile quick to appear as it lingers. “Hope you weren’t waiting too long.”
“Morning. Not too long,” Arvin assures you, taking a sip of his coffee. “Thank you.”
You offer a smile and quick nod.
“You’re welcome. I’ll come check on you in a bit.”
By the time you make it back to the front, one of the laborers has his eye on you, giving you a lengthy stare as you try to ignore him, wiping off a counter while you wait for Thomas to finish another order.
“What’s that boy doing here?” The man asks, turning his head around to stare at Arvin.
“Eating his breakfast. Just like you,” you remind him, your tone tight as he rears his head back around.
“He’s on the wrong side of the street.”
“I don’t see him minding your business, do you?”
At your admonishment, the man’s eyes widen for a moment as you cross your arms over your chest, waiting for him to challenge you.
“Leave her alone, Daryl,” another man sighs, finishing up the last of his coffee. “The kid isn’t hurting anyone.”
It’s only when the man is quiet that you relax your shoulders, remembering your duties as you pour him another cup of coffee as you stare into his eyes.
When the bell rings, you head back to the kitchen where Thomas is dicing up onions.
“Leave those men alone,” Thomas chides, shaking his head with a smirk. “No one’s gonna mess with your boy.”
“He’s not mine,” you huff, grabbing the plate from him. “I don’t like nosey people. That includes you too, Thomas.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he relents with a laugh. “No need to get all uptight.”
When you place the plate down in front of the diner, you top off their coffees and head toward Arvin, pouring the remainder of what’s left in the pot as he finishes the last of his pancakes.
“They giving you trouble?” he asks, making sure to not make eye contact with the men at the counter.
“They’re curious about you but you aren’t their business and they aren’t yours.”
Arvin laughs then as he takes a sip of his coffee.
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Miss,” you correct with a smile, placing two extra napkins next to him as you continue on your way to refill the pot.
Tumblr media
“Arvin.”
He pushes himself out from under the car, looking up at Ray who holds out a brown paper bag. He reaches for it, unsure of what it is. It’s warm at the touch and Ray watches him as he lifts himself up to open the bag.
“You got lunch dropped off for you,” Ray informs him as he looks down inside of it. When he opens the container, there’s a patty melt and fries. It’s late in the day and he hasn’t stopped working since he got in. With a quick crack of his neck, he rolls over to the side of the bench, pulling out the container as he finally takes a break.
He knows you packed the lunch for him, he can tell by the amount of fries that overflow in the container, remembering how he’d said he hadn’t had them since he’d been out on the road, hitchhiking for rides.
It’s a far cry from where he’s come from, crushed between strangers with hopes and dreams in the backseat of cars, wishing for a quiet refrain from his thoughts. He thinks he may have found it. This quiet peacefulness that has only been around for a few hours, allowing him to clear out his thoughts as he takes his time to eat. Actually savoring every bite, instead of wolfing it down like he’d done before, trying to get from place to place before his luck would run out.
It was honest work. His Pa would be proud. His Ma even more if they were still alive. He doesn’t dwell on what could be. He can’t. Not since running from that town with all the devils and the sin that people preached against, practicing it right out in the open. He’s almost certain that he doesn’t deserve your kindness. Nor that pretty smile that he thought of on his way to work. It definitely wasn’t the first thing he thought of when he woke up.
It’s risky, Arvin decides, crushing the brown paper bag and tossing it into the trash as he wipes his mouth, sliding back under the car to finish. He’s curious about you. That’s all he’ll allow for the moment. There was nothing wrong with making a friend, he reasons, grabbing a wrench as he went to work.
In this town, he’d counted on luck.
He’d found you.
Tumblr media
Lee shifted in his seat, the hard candy hitting the back of his teeth as he placed his car in park. He’d washed down his current lunch with a soda, the can staring back at him as he looked up at the skyscrapers in the distance. Maybe it was like finding a needle in the haystack but somewhere, Arvin was hiding away. A few phone calls and tips had led him this far.
He had to hand it to Arvin. Los Angeles was a long way from home, even for him. He’d find him. Come hell or high water, he’d search high and low until he caught him.
Lee cracks his neck, popping another candy inside his mouth.
It would only be a matter of time.

"Bad together"
Prologue: Benjamin Reilly
Tumblr media
Peter Parker x Reader
General audiences
Warnings: none.
"And if I'm dead to you
Why are you at the wake?
Cursing my name, wishing I stayed"
My tears ricochet - Taylor Swift
"... It's a disaster! Look at her! It's like someone took a look at Black Cat, selected everything that made her sexy and then took it out!"
Black Cat. The name froze the young photographer on his tracks right outside his boss' office. He hadn't heard that name in a long time, the last sighting had been well over a year ago. He would know.  After all, it had been him, the very last person to have seen Felicia Hardy, alive or dead.
"What are you talking about? That looks hot af, not to mention badass!" Jade's persuasive voice reached his ears, making him smirk: It was no secret the chief editor had a soft spot for the young intern. And, on her part, the petite brunette was a firecracker. Poor old Jameson didn't stand a chance. "Come on, dad. Single handedly taking down three of the Kingpin's goons? That's impressive. It deserves to be one of the slides!"
"Not if we don't get a higher quality picture. That blurry video is good enough for a thumbnail, but not for a slide" Slides were a big deal, they were the Dailybugle.net's equivalent of a front page, and if J. Jonah Jameson took something seriously, it was his web site. He prided himself in the quality of the "receipts" of his "tea", as if that validated the trashiness of the bullshit articles he posted, more fiction from hyper imaginative wannabe writers than serious work from real reporters.
"Well, then let's get the pictures. Where is that star photographer of yours?"
The photographer rolled his eyes, typical Jade. As if the queen of cool didn't know his name. As if she hadn't graced his bed a handful of times already.
"That's a good question. Dolores, get me Reilly!"
"I'm here, Jonah" Ben finally stepped inside the office, throwing an envelope on Jameson's desk before throwing himself on a chair across it. He could feel Jade's eyes on him, almost like a physical caress, trailing from the long, slick back curls on the top of his head, to the muscles of his arms, threatening to rip open the seams at the sleeves of his white t-shirt, to his jean clad thighs. Still, he didn't turn to look at her, refusing to give her the satisfaction.
"What do you have for me today, boy?"
Ben gesticulated vaguely with his head in the direction of Jade, and Jameson caught the hint.
"Jade, out!"
"But, dad, my story!" The petulant reply left her mouth before she could stop it, undoubtedly the product of years of habit. But she had the grace to look embarrassed and leave the office without another word, trying to save whatever professionalism she had left.
Once she was gone, Jameson opened the envelope, flipping through the various pictures of a masked figure swinging around New York in a black and red suit.
"Hmmm… these are good" the older man praised, staring at the images of a frustrated robbery at 5th avenue
Ben snifled nocomitically,
"There was a fire at 16th avenue happening at the same time" He offered, "we could use that. Spider-Man forgets his roots and leaves his old neighborhood to fend for itself, running off to save some pretty socialite…"
"Oh, that is excellent! See, this is why I like you, kid. You have initiative. Unlike these snowflakes out there. Oh, but Spider-Man is a hero. Hero, my ass"
"Well, when you watch your so called hero sit back and do nothing as your life gets destroyed" Ben shrugged, "the rose colored glasses tend to fall off…"
Jameson made a face at that,
"Yeah, about that… I'm sorry. For the role the Daily Bugle played on that…"
Ben shook his head,
"You thought you were getting the truth out there. It's not your fault to have been played, along with half the world. Plus," he added, sounding genuinely enthusiastic, "you gave me this job. And now we can really tell the truth"
"Even when our idea of the truth is somehow different" The older man scoffed, flipping around a picture of Spider-Man sat on what appeared to be a hammock of his own webs, eating a hamburger and reading something that looked suspiciously like a comic book, "Still hung up on that high schooler theory of yours?"
"Well, if it talks like a brat and acts like a brat…" Ben took out another envelope, this time containing a few burger king wrappers and, effectively, a spider-man comic book.
"Where did you even get these?"
"Harlem" was Ben's curt reply, and Jameson knew that was as exact a location as he was going to get.
"So you still believe this is a copycat? Some kid playing dress up"
Ben simply shrugged again.
"Well, there seems to be an epidemic of those lately" Jameson admitted, indicating Ben to come closer, passing a tablet to him, "Jade just handled me this, take a look"
Ben took a deep breath, steeling himself, already knowing what he was going to see in it. Yet, a part of him couldn't help but hope to be wrong. To hope the silver haired figure facing three much bigger, stronger looking ones as he pressed play, wasn't the same one he had spent weeks memorizing last summer. Wasn't the body he had found solace in, when everything fell apart, once again, for the hundredth time in his life.
To hope it wasn't you.
But when in his twenty-two or so years of existence, had things ever gone his way?
Ben felt the screen crack under his fingertips.
"I've heard of her" he lied through his teeth, "didn't even think she was real, to be honest. Extremely elusive, and cunning." That much was true, "I don't understand how something as mundane as a security camera managed to catch her…"
Unless you wanted to be caught, that was.
"Well, I don't care if she's the fucking Loch Ness monster, I want an HD picture of her on my desk tomorrow to go with Jade's article. I already have a headline: New Catastrophe Jen wreaks havoc on Hell's Kitchen" Jameson's eyes lit up with glee as he weaved his hands up in the air, like writing on an invisible marquee.
Ben snorted
"Don't you mean Calamity Jane?"
Jameson's face fell, the color rising to his cheeks, characteristic vein popping on his forehead.
"I meant what I meant, boy! Now, what are you still doing here? You have 24 hours to get me that picture"
"I'm going to need 72," came Ben's unphased reply, "and I want twice what you pay me for the spidey pics"
Jameson's vein looked about ready to explode,
"48 hours. And deal."
Ben jumped from his seat and bolted out of the office before his boss could change his mind, not realizing until it was too late that he was on a collision course with a sweet looking short haired blonde girl.
"Watch where you're going! Jeez!"
"Me? You're the one who crashed against me!"
Ben rolled his eyes, but crouched next to the girl anyway, helping her gather the papers that had been sent flying on impact back together.
"Peter? Oh my god, is that you?"
Of course. What an idiot, he should had recognized that annoying, shrilly voice the second he heard it. It had caught him off guard, something he knew he couldn't afford. But how could he had ever imagine he could run into Betty fucking Brant, Yale cum laude, in the freaking dailybugle.net headquarters of all places?
"Sorry, sweetheart. You must confuse me with someone else…" He mumbled, lowering his head even more in a vain attempt to hide his face.
"Of course not!" She insisted, "You're Peter, Peter Parker, we went to Midtown together!"
"Miss, I have no idea what you're talking about…"
"Don't be silly, Peter!" She chuckled, completely deft to his tone or the way his whole demeanor had changed the second she had called him by the old name. "How have you been? Oh, just wait until I tell Ned, he's going to be so-"
CRACK.
At last, the tablet that had been in peril ever since Jameson had put it in Ben's hands, the one that contained his assignment, met its demise, both broken halves falling to the ground, along with all the papers he had picked up for Betty. It was several moments before he could get the shaking of his hands under control, before the tar black rage inside him subsided enough for him to be able to move without shifting. But it had.
"Peter Parker is dead." He deadpanned, dark brown eyes finally meeting Betty's stunned blue ones, "Tell Ned that, he'll probably be glad to hear it"
With that, he stood up and walked away, leaving a confused and agitated Betty behind.
To be continued...

Idk if anybody had this idea before but well here it goes: Arvin Russell having a smaller wife -in size- and they are both awkward bcz the marriage was sorta out of business but they are both getting along some fluff will be great (add filth if u want :3 )
P.S: srry rly for being awkward it's my first time to request smth😅
Hi! I hope you don't mind, I'm gonna answer this as a black!reader(bc I don't see a lot of black readers).
TW: Business partners to lovers, mentions of Lenora's death and the serial killer couple, Spoilers for tdatt, slow burn(ish).
Your daddy disapproved of Arvin and so did your momma but you knew this was the only way. See, you had always wanted a house and business of your own but being a young small black girl, you often were looked down upon and often times, given the classic talk of "well, maybe this is outta your league little girl." and told to just go find a black man and stay in your "neck of the woods". When you got away from the person who made these comments, you just rolled your eyes and said,
"Well what does he know? That old shit has nary a business bone in his body. Old hick."
Arvin overheard your personal pep talk and said,
"Umm little girl?"
"JESUS CHRIST." you said, startled.
"I'm so sorry it's just you were yelling and I thought you were hurt, my apologies" Arvin said.
You looked him up and down and immediately knew he would be a perfect pawn to get what you need.
"It's okay." You said with a smirk on your face.
Arvin began to walk away when suddenly, you blurted out:
"Hey listen. How would you like an opportunity to make money and get out of this shit town?"
Arvin stopped dead in his tracks but he didn't turn around:
"And how would I do that? Selling Girl Scout Cookies?" Arvin asked. You could hear the bemusement mixed with genuine interest in his voice.
You chuckled. This wasn't the first time you had been underestimated because of your size.
"Not quite. See I'm fixing to start a business and buy a house but I can't do that since I'm-" you pointed to your skin.
"I don't know little girl sounds like a big ask for someone so small." Arvin chuckled
"Listen here Mister, I am 20 and a LEGAL adult just like you. I may sure as hell be damn small but these dreams and the money I'll cut you will be bigger than the fattest man alive, so what do you say?" you said.
"What are we selling? Arvin said, interested.
"Teas, coffee, specialized refreshments." You smiled.
"You really think people want that?" Arvin said.
"Well not these people, that's why I said we're getting out of here. Now come on, I'll let you taste the product." You said pulling Arvin's arm.
6 months later:
"It says here, we need to be married in order to get the house and the storefront." Arvin said.
"Nice try, pal." You said, believing it but not wanting it to be true.
"Business partners don't lie to each other, darlin' " Arvin said with a smirk.
Over the past 6 months, Arvin had taken a liking to you. You were ambitious, pretty, outspoken, goal driven and not a bad cook either. You two always had moments where it felt like you would kiss but you never did. So Arvin convinced himself that you were off limits.
"Alright fine, I know a chapel we can go to." You said begrudgingly.
"Actually?" Arvin didn't think you'd go this far for what you wanted but in a way, he was kind of happy you did go this far.
"Yes Actually now stop wasting time and get dressed." You said.
"Yes ma'am" Arvin called.
When you two arrived at the chapel, You saw your preacher. It was nice to know that this man who had known you since you were in diapers, is marrying you off. Admittedly, you wished it was with someone whom you had loved for years.
Once he married you off, the next stop was your parents house:
"ABSOLUTLEY NOT. UNDER NO SURCOMSTANCES WILL I ALLOW THIS. HOW DARE THIS THING COME IN MY HOUSE AND TELL ME THAT HE WANTS TO MARRY MY Y/N." Your dad said.
"Daddy I'm sorry, It's all for the house and store. I promise."
"FIND ANOTHER WAY." Your dad said.
"Daddy, this is the way. I'll finally be able to take care of you and momma." you said almost tearing up. You haded when he would yell at you.
"I just don't want you to be unhappy." Your dad said.'
"Than let me marry Arvin and get us out of this place." you said through tears.
"Okay baby. If this is what you need to do then do it." Your dad said begrudgingly.
You hugged your momma and oveheard your dad telling Arvin that he would kill him if he tried anything. You went upstairs, packed a bag, and left. Arvin did the same and both of you were off to New York.
1 year later
You and Arvin had just gotten the title to the store and you couldn't be happier. Arvin was falling more and more in love with you as the days went on. You found out a lot about him too, like he had shot a preacher that drove his sister to suicide, how he almost became a victim of these serial killers, and so forth. You were still sleeping in different "beds"(Arvin sleeping on a sofa):
"You sure, country boy? I don't mind sleeping on the couch. I could fit a lot better." You asked genuinely concerned for his wellbeing on that sofa.
"Ladies get the better bed. Besides, It's comfy enough." Arvin said. You realized that Arvin would never tell you if he was in pain or sick or anything about himself really. You had to pry into him to figure out the serial killer story.
You caught yourself staring at Arvin more and more. You never noticed how veiny his arms were or how big his biceps were. He was incredibly protective over you(even though you didn't need it) and he was incredibly strong, like he lifted a 100lb bag of coffee beans over his shoulder like it was nothing. It was safe to say you were starting to fall for him but this is what made you 100% head-over-heels for him:
One cold night in December, you were shivering in the bed. You had woken up from a nightmare and desperately needed to go back to sleep because you had a meeting the next day. You saw Arvin tossing on the couch and decided you couldn't take it anymore:
"Hey Arvin?" you asked as gently as possible
"What's the matter, Y/n?" he asked groggily.
"Uhm, I'm cold." You said sheepishly.
"What do you want me to do about that?" Arvin asked with a smirk on his face. He knew exactly what you wanted, he just wanted to hear you say it.
"You're really gonna make me say it?" you said half embarrassed, half jokingly.
"Mhm. If you want it that badly." Arvin said smugly.
"Arvin can you sleep with me?" You said regretfully.
"What's the magic word?" He said now with a full grin.
"Pleeeeaaaassseeee?" You said.
"Good Girl." He said. This sent butterflies through your body.
You two got in the bed and he brought the blanket from the couch. You snuggled up to him and he planted your face in his neck.
"Is this gonna become a daily thing, darlin'?" Arvin asked.
"I don't know. Do you want it to become a daily thing?" You replied.
"I don't mind." He said.

Help wanted
Summery: Boarding house with the occasional unwanted tenant.
Note: I don’t think Arvin is dark in this, but it might be for other people.
Warning: non-con/dub con, dark theme, choking, slight spanking, cream pie
Grey Arvin Russell x Reader; Dark Lee Bodecker x Reader
🛎
The bell rung on the door of your boarding house. Drying your hands with a dish rag you got yourself ready to meet whoever it was coming through the door. When you crossed through the archway you were shocked still.
He had a duffel bag slung over his shoulder, his clothes looked all greased up, the hat that hid a thick tuft of hair peaked out looked like it had seen better days.
His type weren't known for being on this side of town so you figured he was either new to town or looking for someone.
You welcomed him with a soft smile and gave your name.
"How can I help you today sir?"
"Hello Ma'am." He said politely, tipping his hat slightly at you. His thick country twang confirming the former. "I saw the help wanted sign out side. Y'all still hiring?"
"Um..Y-yeah... I need a handy man, job includes free room, and board, but I won't just hire anybody though. There is a washer in the basement, if you fix one of them the jobs yours."
🛎
Waddling to the basement with your Daddy's old toolbox, the heavy rusty thing knocked at your knees each step. He jogged over to you, taking the kit from your grasp and you thank him for it.
"The left one broke down a month ago and the other I'm guessing couldn't handle the over use. Dryers work just fine though."
Before he could reply you heard the door bell ring again. You excused yourself and left him to work.
"I'm coming, just a minute!" You shout down the hall as you hurried.
🛎
"Sorry it took so long."
"Saul right Ma'am" he said rising from the floor. You watched from the door as he twisted a dial. The hum of the machine filled the growing awkward silence.
"Well aren't you something! I guess that means your hired."
He lifted his hat to smooth back stray strands of hair, his shy smile hid as he looked down to the floor.
🛎
"Your room's on the third floor. Has a bed and a little sitting place. It's really small just enough room to lay your head really." The sound of foot-steps coming down the stairs halted you. Your eyes watch their back disappear into the night, until he cleared his throat bringing your attention back.
"That'll do just fine Ma'am." Something about his southern accent made your heart flutter. He picked up his duffel, throwing the strap over his shoulder as you dug out your ledger.
"Just down there is the supper table. I cook breakfast and dinner. You can eat in your room if you like, a lot of them do."  You explained as you watch him sign the book. Arvin Russell it read.
He adjusted his strap as you talked, his deep brown eyes made it hard for you to keep his gaze, making you fidget nervously in place. "Most folks are gone during the day so I don't make lunch, but if you like no problem just give me a holler. Bath rooms are at the end of each hall."
Digging in your desk you find the master keys and a list of things that needed to be fixed. His fingers grazed yours lightly in the transfer, Arvin's touch sent a ripple of heat up to your face. He flipped through the wrinkled papers, scanning over the chores with a wrinkled brow.
"S-sorry to put so much on you, but when my daddy got sick things got out of hand and I never been one for fixing things."
"No problem Ma'am."
🛎
During the day you kept busy. Scrubbing windows and mopping the halls of each floor. Arvin crossed paths with you on occasion. Gently brushing past you with his tools as he headed to his next assignment.
The door to Odis', one of the tents, room was left wide open when you walked by. Curious you glanced in, catching sight of Arvin lifting his shirt. Your legs stop moving as you watched him wipe away beads of sweat from his brow with the hem. You couldn't stop yourself from ogling his well toned exposed stomach.
The clanking of the dust pan hitting the floor caught his attention. Your face burn with embarrassment when he found you standing outside the room. Panicked you quickly picked up the pan and rushed off to the ground floor.
🛎
You heard Arvin call your name. "Yeah?" You replied weakly still embarrassed.
*Relax he isn't thinking about you. Probably just thinks your a clumsy dits.
He came halfway down the stairs, looking down at you from the banister. "You got a minute? I need a little help" he asked politely.
"Oh sure... Uh sure" you reply looking up at him. Arvin abandoned his cap, his dark hair sticking to his forehead, curling from sweat. More sweat pooled on his shirt, the dampness helped stick the fabric to his lean figure.
Following him up the stairs he led you to a room on the third floor. In the corner of the room there was a large metal pipe leaning against the wall.
You watched as Arvin lifted the heavy pipe, angling it vertically in position.
"Can you hold this?" he called over his shoulder.
Walking over you grabbed it and Arvin moved to get behind you. He took your hands and placed them along the pipe as you steadied yourself to hold it still while it slightly wobbled.
"OK hold still just like that." He bent over beside you, digging into the tool box that rested on the floor. When he rose, Arvin stayed close behind you. You could feel the heat coming off him, he smelled like sweat and after shave. Your hands felt sweaty as you felt rattled a bit by his closeness.
The pipe shifted a bit, you tried nudging it slightly, but couldn't get it back in place.
"Stay steady" his breath tickled your ear, you gasped making him chuckle lightly. "Just like that" he moved the pipe back into place, pushing into your butt when he stepped closer. "Just hold right... here." He placed a hand on your hip and you tensed. His fingers lightly squeezed your softness. You had to fight hard to bring your mind out of the gutter, he just needed your help, nothing more, the spot between your thighs thought otherwise.
With his arms raised above you, Arvin tightened the nuts to secure the metal tube. You swallowed thickly when you heard him grunt as he forced the wrench to move. Looking over to your right you spied his exposed arms. His muscle flexing as he moved.
"Almost done" he said to you, pushing you almost flush to the steel, bumping you gently with each twist of the wrench. You only nod, unable to conjure words to speak properly. Through the cheap fabric of your dress you felt something hard poke at you through his jeans.
*Stomp it now get your mind out of the gutter.
You don't know what had gotten into you lately. First staring at him like a creeper now thinking about his manhood. Maybe its about time you started going back to church you thought to yourself. Cause right now it felt like the devil was leading you to temptation.
When Arvin stepped back you had to choke down a whimper from the loss of his feel. Pressing your lips together you prayed he aint hear you.
Tapping a hand on your shoulder you turn to look at him. "All done." He smiled at you, your hands release the pipe and you backed away.
"Thanks Ma'am."
"You're welcome Arvin" You smiled shyly then rushed off back to your desk.
🛎
No matter how hard your days were the nights were by far the worst. Lying in bed you felt the mattress dip. The fear of the impending figure behind you prickled your skin.
Your eyes squeezed tightly shut as you tried to force yourself to sleep. Holding your breath in a dumb attempt to force yourself to pass out. The blanket covering you pulled away and you felt water fall from your closed eyes.
🛎
Propping your head on your hands you leaned on your desk. Your eyes drooped as you zoned out, looking into space.
"You alright Ma'am?" Arvin startled you as he walked down the stairs.
"I couldn't sleep." You stand up and stretch, yawning a bit. He walked closer to your desk, dressed in his work pants shirt.
"Try some warm milk. Used to help me." He passed by your desk, walking down the hall with tool kit in had to the washers. The old machines acting up again since last time he fixed them.
"Oh Arvin" you shouted at him before he passed through the door. "Um.. can I add something to your list. No worries if you can't get it done today, but I would much appreciate it if you could."
Placing the box down by the laundry door he walked back over, digging the sheet from his back pocket. You grabbed a pen hopeful it was a task he wouldn't mind sorting right away.
"If you can't fix the lock today no problem. I will just go sleep in the attic." You spoke casually as he slipped you the paper to write on. He read over your assignment and you watched as his lips made a hard line.
"I locked myself out of my room, didn't want to wake you to get the spare, sorry. Now I done made more work for you" you laughed, but their was no humor in it. His features softened and you hoped he wouldn't press the issue.
Pushing the paper back to him, you bid him a due and turn to face away to pretend to make a call. When you heard him walk away you let out a breath.
🛎
Arvin was a saint among men. You don't know where he found the money, but he added a chain lock to your door. You smiled at the shiny gold. Sliding on the chain and the bottom lock you prepared for bed.
Laying in bed the thought of the extra lock helped sooth your nerve as you slipped into sleep.
You felt an uncomfortable lump at your back rousing you awake. Your eyes shot open and a hand covered your mouth before you could scream out.
"You think your smart, putting that chain on that door" the beer on his breath hit your nose. Your tears soaked his hand as he held you.
You shake your head 'no' repeatedly in reply. He was still dressed in his work clothes as he laid next to you. The sound of his belt jingling made the tears fall harder.
"I told your daddy I would look out for you. How am I gonna do that if you lock the door?"
Lee, a local cop, only came around when his wife was either on the mends or she just flat out kicked him out. Your father had offered the man a free bed whenever he needed. His way of thanking him for keeping the neighborhood safe.
Lee pushed up your night gown and tsked when he felt your panties. The hand on your mouth slipped down your neck and you blubbered out your apologizes. He hated panties, too much work he called it. "What I told you about these?" he grumbled, forcing the fabric down.
"I-i'm sorry I thought my monthlies were coming on." You sniffed. You tried hard not to cry, you just hopped he would squeeze hard enough to make you pass out.
You heard him spit in his hand, he bumped into your back as he lubed himself up. You yelped when he smacked your ass hard, the sudden sting of pain loosening your locked legs.
"Yea you said that last week. I aint forget girl." He shoved himself inside after he found your opening. "Fucking bitch. I run the house gawd damn it!" Lee was mad at his wife agin. What ever his spite with her, you were paying for it. "Not gonna tell me what to do. Fucking bitch." He growled, panting heavily as he pumped.
You jolted with each thrust, no matter how many times Lee did it, it never got easier.
"Please." You panted desperately. "Please don't come in me" you choked out, his hand tightening his grip around your throat. You had been lucky so far, but you knew it was only a matter of time before your luck ran out.
Lee didn't like back talk, this was his show and you were just here for the ride. Pushing you completely flat you grip the fabric of the sheets. Lifting your ass as he rose to his knees he fucked into you harder. You cried out unable to adjust to his lengthen. He chuckled darkly at your pain, slamming into you repeatedly with a punishing rhythm.
He cursed your name. Reminded you of your place as he came deep in you. His seed filling your cunt as you pressed your head into the mattress and cried.
He slipped out of the bed. His pants once again jingling as he fixed himself up and headed out the door.
🛎
It was that time of the month again.
Whenever he shouted he spit. It was disgusting. You had given him chance after chance, but he used them all. "I'm sorry Tommy if you don't have the rent by Thursday you are going to have to leave."
"Fuck you bitch you let that boy stay here rent free!"  He shouted. Trying to make sure tent knew.
"He works here. He earns he keep."
"Then let me earn mine? or give me another week." He barked. His tone more of a demand than a request.
Sighing you hung your head low. Rubbing your temple with one hand you hugged your stomach with the other. First of the month was the worst. Tents ducked and dodged. Begged and pleaded or straight up demand just to not pay rent.
"Next Friday Tommy... That's the last time you hear me." You try to sound strong, but you knew he didn't give a shit as long as he won. "If you aint got it then, then I'm changing the locks and putting your stuff on the street."
He slammed his door in your face and you turned on your heels headed to the next delinquent.
"You alright Ma'am?" Straight ahead, Arvin poked out from the bathroom. You had to fight yourself from looking down at his lower half. In your peripheral you could see he was just in a towel that hung around his waist.
His wet hair seemed to curl under the towel on his head. Strands sticking to his forehead, his face still damp from the shower.
"Umm yeah. Uh just rents due and folks get a little uppity around this time of the month." You dry chuckle turning your eyes up at the ceiling. Fighting yourself from venturing further.
You couldn't tell if it was the steam that came from the bathroom or you. Whenever he was close, your body would react. The heat would turn up making you sweat.
"Well alright then. You have a good night Ma'am."
🛎
*Bang Bang Bang
"Tommy!" You bang again. "Tommy! I will give you to the count of three. If you don't open this door and pay up. I am coming in and kicking you out!" You huffed tapping a foot.
"Ma'am?"
"Morning Arvin. Sorry did I wake you?"
"No was working down the hall."
"Tommy, skipped out on rent I think." Taking a deep breath you lifted your master key ring and unlocked the door. When you peered inside the room was a mess, no sign of Tommy.
Arvin followed you in side, with a hand on your hip you groaned. The amount of clean up you would have to do to ready it for a new tenant would take all day.
"Arvin can you change the lock on the door. I hate doing this, but I gotta kick him out"
"Sure thing ma'am"
As you turn to leave you over at Arvin who was still assessing the damage to the room. "Oh and can you possibly stay close. If he comes around I might need your help."
Arvin only nodded in response as you took your leave.
🛎
Tommy didn't come back that day or the next. Putting up a sign you thought that you could clean up the room a bit, before the weekend. With the storm you figured not to many people would be coming around anyway.
Taking up a few boxes you get to tossing. One box you would keep in the addict. Somethings were just to hard to throw away sometimes, but a good chunk would go.
Thunder bashed down filling the room with a blinding white light. You yelped loudly bringing the sound of feet rushing down your way.
"You alright Ma'am?" Arvin looked in the room worried.
"Sorry Arvin, it’s just the storm. Lightening makes me a bit skittish sorry." You apologize as you get back to clearing the room.
"Well I am finished with my list for today, would you mind if I trouble you for some company?"
"U-um sure" you tried to fight off the smile.
His lips curled as he walked in the room. The instant he crossed the door frame you heard shouting coming from down stairs. When the voice made itself more clear you frowned.
"Oh uh sorry.. I need to tend to that" you say softly. With your head low you walked past him.
🛎
Lee was wet and agitated. "Fucking bitch had the nerve to accuse me of drinking again." He spat while you sat waiting on the bed. "I aint touch a drop today" he said smugly.
You looked at your feet as he undressed in front of you. The sound of a siren blared loudly from out side, Lee turned and squinted at the sound. "Shit!" He stopped undressing and ran out.
Getting up from the bed you grabbed your robe and peered out the hall. The front door was open and Lee wasn't there. The rain still coming down hard, blew in through the open door so you walked bare foot to close it and see if he had really gone. His car was gone that was for sure and as you looked into the rain it seemed he had disappeared too. You exhaled in relief, backed away and closed the entrance.
"Ma'am?" Arvin called to you out of breath.
"Shit!" You gasped, turning to face him. Your heart bashed in your chest as you stared at him crazily. He was soaked to the bone. "Your gonna catch a cold walking around like that" you scolded tightening your robe.
"Do you have any clean towels?" You asked, but you turn back to look at the door. Hoping that Lee wouldn't suddenly comeback.
"I think so.. I know I need to do laundry, not too good at it so I've been holding it off."
"Well, I don't normally do this, but if you like I can mix yours with mine. I don't have enough clothes to justify using all that water anyway."you shrugged.
"I don't want to put you out" he stepped closer to you. "The way his clothes clung to him you had to try hard not to stare.
"N-no trouble. Um wait here I'll give you a towel just in case." You leave him and head back into your room. Digging in your cabinet for the towels. When you turned around again Arvin stood in your living room, looking around your meager abode. "I know it aint much, but at least I got my own bathroom" you chuckled.
When he stepped closer and you had to hold yourself together. Arvin dragged his teeth over his bottom lip while his eyes fell to the opening in your rope.
"S-sorry" your face felt on fire, embarrassed you looked down to your feet. You held out the towel and closed the robe with the other. Arvin’s hand lifted your chin and your eyes went wild.
His lips felt so soft. You just wanted to kiss them all day. Arvin's arms wrapped around your waist and you wanted to melt into him.
Arvin turned you around and backed you up until you both fell backwards onto the bed. Arvin rested comfortably between your thighs while his manhood pressed on your mound. You didn’t know if it were his jeans or your nature making you go wet, but either way you welcomed it.
You gasped when he sucked on your neck, kissing the spot after pulling off. Arvin ground his hips into you making the warmth between your legs soak with desperation.
Holding himself above you, you forced yourself to finally look back at him without shying away. He smirked down at you as he peeled off his top, the wet garment hit the floor hard. His muscles moved and tightened as he freed his shaft. Biting your bottom lips you hummed when he rubbed the tip hard against your slit then lining himself up. Arvin pressed his weight down as he pushed inside slowly. You moaned his name at his fullness. The bed frame squeaked as he rocked.
Kissing you again swallowing your moans, you wrap your legs around his back urging him deeper. Ever the gentleman he obliged.
🛎
*Bang Bang Bang
The furious jiggling and banging was most definitely Lee. You were surprised he hadn't popped the lock as usual, but it was only a matter of time before he got through.
Arvin must not have noticed so you slapped his chest. Pushing him off, but he wouldn't stop. Instead kissing you again as you tried to speak.
"Arvin please, that's Lee... he's.. cop" you spoke on his lips, but your words meant nothing.
Arvin's eye were darkened with lust. You tried to spin away, but he hooked your legs keeping you there, fucking you with his slow pace. He was splitting your mind in two. You wanted to cum so desperately, but your reason told you that Lee wouldn't take kindly to this.
Arvin continued to rock into you as Lee screamed at the door.  Your back arched when Arvin took your nipple in his mouth.
"That's it. That's my girl. Come for me." He mumbled over your nipple. Licking the areola and sucking it again, you came around him, squeezing his cock making him hum with approval.
The banging on your bedroom wall brought your high down fast. "I will shoot through this gawd damn wall if you don't let me in!" Lee threatened. You looked at Arvin with panic in your eye. Arvin kissed you gently again as Lee screamed on. You were terrified, you hoped you could explain Arvin's presence away as a maintenance emergency, but before you could properly forma a though he pulled up his pants as you fixed yourself. Arvin didn't stop or look back as you called out to him. Paying you no mind as he opened the door and walked out.
The sound in the hall was so loud you thought lightening had broke through the roof. You rushed out of your room and found Lee out cold, with a pool growing around his perimeter. You looked at Arvin, the young man unconcerned as he began dragging the cop into your room by his feet.
"Get a bucket and a mop" he commanded, the pistol tucked deep in his pants. Without a word you followed his orders.

me and my dog with an impossible view
Pairing: dad!Arvin Russel x Reader
Synopsis: Arvin won’t admit how much he loves the new puppy
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“I just have to stop and get some apples for your momma.” Arvin told his daughter as he parked in the market parking lot. “We won’t be long, promise.”
“Okay daddy.” Bessie nodded as she waited to be unbuckled from her car seat.
Arvin held his daughters hand as they walked around the market. After getting a sack of apples, Arvin ran into one of the vendors he typically bought from.
“Hey Bill.” Arvin nodded his head at his friend.
“Hey, Arvin. And hello to you miss.” Bill waved to Bessie as she hide behind Arvin’s leg.
“This heres Bessie.” Arvin introduced his daughter as he moved some hair off her forehead.
“Hi Bessie.” Bill waved. “Would you like to see something cool?”
“Okay.” Bessie shyly nodded and came our from behind Arvin’s leg. Bill led them over to the other side of this booth, where he had a crate full of black and white spotted puppies.
“My dog had em last night.” Bill explained. “We can’t take care of em all, so we figured we’d bring them here.”
“Puppies!” Bessie exclaimed as knelt down in front of the crate. She began to pet the puppies as they excitedly jumped to greet her.
“You can pet em if you like.” Bill said when Arvin made no effort to see the puppies.
“That’s all right.” Arvin shrugged. “Never liked animals that much.”
As if on cue, an all black puppy with white paws jumped out of Bessie’s arms and ran to Arvin. The puppy began to jump on Arvin’s leg until Arvin picked it up. As soon as the puppy got close enough, he licked Arvin’s face.
“That one likes you.” Bill noted.
“He probably does that to everybody.” Arvin brushed it off as the puppy bit and tugged on his earlobe. He wouldn’t admit it, but he secretly loved dogs. And the attention he was getting for that puppy was warming his heart.
“This one heres been pretty shy actually.” Bill told him. “Never seen him do that. Here, you can hold him if you like.”
“Might as well.” Arvin stopped holding the puppy at arms length and let him rest against his chest. The puppy immediately snuggled into Arvin’s neck and licked behind his ear.
“He likes you daddy!” Bessie clapped her hands.
“Puppies like everyone.” Arvin dismissed them claim as the puppy nuzzled into him.
“He’s so cute. And he’s so soft. He feels like a pillow.” Bessie exclaimed as she reached up on her tiptoes to pet him.
“He is pretty soft.” Arvin admitted shyly. “Hey, little buddy. You like my shoulder? Is it comfortable?”
“Look at that.” Bills mouth opened in surprise. “He’s asleep.”
“Aw, look at him daddy.” Bessie gushed. “He loves you.”
“Quiet now, Bessie girl.” Arvin whispered. “Don’t want to wake him up.”
Bessie pretended to zip her lips shut, and Arvin did the same.
“How much you charging for em?” He whispered to Bill.
“For you and your little girl, free.” Bill smiled.
“Hm.” Arvin bounced the puppy a little as he thought about the offer. He did like the dog, but he wasn’t willing to let anybody know that yet.
“Can we keep him daddy? Please?” Bessie asked as she shook Arvin’s arm.
“We’ll have to ask your momma first.” He tapped her nose before handing the puppy back to Bill. “Take care now, Bill.”
On the drive home from the market, Arvin thought about what it would be like to have a dog again. He hadn’t had one since he was a kid, and he hadn’t realized how much he missed it. The black puppy with the white paws did seem to like him, and Arvin liked him just as much. As he pulled up to the house, he slightly regretted not taking the puppy home. Bessie ran inside the house as soon as Arvin unbuckled her seatbelt and jumped into your arms.
“Hi baby girl.” You smiled as you scooped her up. “How was the market?”
“A puppy fell asleep on daddy.” Bessie gushed as Arvin came into the room.
“A puppy?” You asked him in surprise.
“Yeah. Bill was selling em. Cute little bastards.” Arvin mumbled, but you saw right through his act.
“Aw. How many did you count, Bess?” You asked as you bounced her on your hip.
“I counted 7 puppies.” She said as she held up 8 fingers.
“Good girl.” You praised as you put one of her fingers down. “Now go wash up.”
Once you set Bessie down, she ran to wash her hands for dinner.
“Puppies huh?” You asked as you gave Arvin a knowing look.
“Yeah. She really liked those puppies. I didn’t care much for them.” Arvin lied.
“So not even puppies can get through that cold exterior?” You teased before kissing him. “What breed were they?”
“Who knows?” He shrugged. “They all look the same to me.”
“We should get Bessie some sort of pet.” You told him. “She’s always so good with the neighbors cat. She deserves it. And her birthdays coming up.”
“Maybe.” Arvin tried not to sound too enthusiastic as he agreed. “I’ll talk to her about her.”
“Think your might like one too.” You smirked, making Arvin roll his eyes. You let out a loud laugh as Arvin dipped you and pressed a kiss to your neck.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, Mrs. Russel.” He teased as he brought you upright. “If we get a dog, it’s for Bessie and Bessie only.”
“Sure.” You rolled your eyes. “Whatever you say, mister.”
The next day, Arvin went to get Bessie for family dinner. He found her in her room, wearing one of your old dresses and surrounded by toys.
“Hey, Bessie girl.” He knocked softly. “You almost ready for supper?”
“Almost. I was just finishing a tea party. Do you want to play tea party, daddy?” She asked as she held up her cardboard tea pot.
“Bessie, come on now. Don’t ask silly questions like that.” Arvin shook his head. “Course I wanna play tea party with you.”
Bessie clapped in excitement as Arvin came over to join the party. He sat down beside his daughter and tipped his hat to the teddy bear on his left.
“Tuffy, always good to see you. Hope you’re well.” Arvin greeted and shook the teddy bears paw.
“Here you go, daddy.” Bessie said as she handed Arvin a paper crown. Arvin swapped out his baseball cap for the crown that matched his daughters.
“Do you want the pink or the blue?” Bessie asked and held up a tea cup with messy pink flowers and a tea cup with blue scribbles.
“Blue, please.” Arvin answered politely.
“Nice manners, daddy.” Bessie giggled while pouring invisible tea into the blue tea cup.
“Thank you. Your momma said I need to work on em.” Arvin said before lifting his pinky and taking a sip from the empty cup.
“I think you’re doing a good job, daddy.” Bessie approved. “More tea?”
“Yes please.” He held out his cup and let Bessie pour more in. His eyes wandered to the worn out dog plushie that was also in attendance at the tea party. The fur was matted with love, making Arvin’s mind wander back to the market.
“Hey Bessie, you ever thought about getting a puppy?” He asked.
“I had a dream we got the puppy from the market and named him Socks.” Bessie answered with excitement.
“Why Socks?”
“Everyone loves socks.” Bessie shrugged.
“You know. You make a good point, Bessie girl.” Arvin chuckled as he moved some hair off of Bessie’s face.
Later that night, Arvin was laying in bed when you placed something warm in his lap.
“Here you go, sugar.” You said before kissing the side of his head.
“Whats this?”
“I warmed some socks up for you.” You shrugged as you climbed into bed. “You said you were cold at dinner.”
“Socks?” He curiously held up the warm pair of socks.
“Yeah. I just warmed them in the oven.” You chuckled at his reaction.
“Socks.” He smiled a little as he thought back to his conversation with Bessie.
“Yes…socks?” You looked at him in confusion.
“Thank you, darling.” He smiled brightly and kissed you. “Thank you very much.”
“You’re welcome.” You chuckled again. “Nice manners.”
“Thanks.” Arvin grinned. “I been working on em.”
~
The following week, you and Arvin set up makeshift decorations for your daughters birthday. Arvin went to her room to wake her up and found her sleepily rubbing her eyes in bed.
“Happy birthday, princess.” Arvin scooped her up and pressed kisses all over her face. “You’re a big girl now.”
“Daddy, you said that last year.” Bessie giggled as she pushed him away.
“Well it’s true.” He insisted as he swung her around. “Now let’s open your presents.”
Arvin made airplane noises as he carried Bessie into the living room, where you were waiting.
“There’s my birthday girl.” You smiled and kissed her cheek. “Do you feel older?”
“A little bit.” She nodded.
“You’ll feel it as the days go by. Now, which one do you want to open first baby?” You asked as you gestured to the presents on the table.
Bessie took her time as she unwrapped the clothes you had sewn and the doll Arvin had made for her. Her favorite present thus far, was a plastic tea set Aunt Lenora had brought over.
“Thank you! Can I go play?” She asked as she hugged the doll.
“Now hold on. I got one more gift for you to open.” You winked at your daughter before leaving the room. Arvin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as you came back into the room with a large cardboard box, unaware of any extra gifts.
You set the box down in front of Bessie and he was just as surprised as his daughter was when she removed the lid.
“A puppy!” Bessie exclaimed.
“A puppy?” Arvin looked in the box and sure enough, the very puppy from the market was jumping around inside.
“Bill showed me which one you liked.” You whispered in his ear before taking the puppy out of the box and handing him to Bessie.
“Look daddy! It’s Socks!” Bessie excitedly showed her father the dogs white paws.
“Hi Socks.” You smiled and shook one of his paws. “He’s cute, isn’t he?”
“I guess.” Arvin shrugged as he failed to fight back a smile.
“Look at you.” You teased. “I haven’t seen you smile like that in ages.”
“Just a puppy.” Arvin brushed it off. “Probably gonna be a lot of work.”
“We’ll all pitch in.” You insisted. “Everyone needs a dog.”
“Do you want to hold him daddy?” Bessie asked.
“Sure.” Arvin pretended not to care as he took Socks from his daughter. Socks excitement went up a level when he was back in Arvin’s arms. He put his white paws on Arvin’s chest and licked every part of his face that he could reach. Arvin smiled a little and rubbed the dogs back, secretly overjoyed that he was there. He kissed the Socks when no one was looking before handing him back to his daughter. You all played with the dog for an hour until the excitement of the day caught up to Bessie. She soon feel asleep on the floor with her head in Arvin’s lap. Socks was asleep on Arvin’s shoulder as Arvin rested his head on top of the puppy and slowly stroked him.
“I’ll take her to bed.” You whispered as you carefully picked Bessie up. “You can stay here with you new best friend.”
“Not even that cute.” Arvin said through a smile as he kissed Socks paw.
“Sure.” You chuckled before leaning down to kiss him. Arvin watched as you carried Bessie to her room before returning his attention to Socks.
“Suppose you are pretty cute.” He mumbled as Socks woke up. He climbed down to Arvin’s lap and nibbled on his fingers
“Ow.” Arvin chuckled. “You got some sharp little teeth, don’t you?”
Socks went from biting to licking as his tongue darted all over Arvin’s fingers. He picked up a wadded up ball of wrapping paper and held it up for Socks to see.
“You play fetch?” He asked before tossing the ball. Socks ran after it and began to tear it up.
“You’re supposed to bring it back, silly.” Arvin rolled his eyes as he crawled over to socks. He tossed a different ball and watched as Socks ran for it. He carried it back to Arvin and proudly dropped it on his lap.
“Much better. Thank you, Socks.” Arvin cooed as he scratched the puppy behind his ears. You came back into the room after observing the scene with a content smile on your face.
“Hope you don’t mind I got him without talking to you. I wanted it to be a surprise for both of you.” You told him as you knelt down beside him.
“Don’t mind at all. He’s kinda cute.” Arvin admitted as he scratched Socks tummy.
“Yeah. He was such a good boy on the car ride home.” You smiled and pet the dog as well.
“Did he stick his head out the window?” Arvin looked at you in excitement.
“He tried. Wasn’t tall enough.” You laughed.
“Bet that looked really cute.” Arvin mumbled as Socks licked his hand again.
“It did.” You smiled as you watched your typically stoic husband be melted by the small dog. Arvin grinned at the answer and picked Socks up to place on his lap.
“Thank you for getting him.” He whispered before leaning in to kiss you. “I think he’ll be a good addition to the family.”
Just as Arvin thought that first night, Socks proved to be a great addition to the Russel household. He started coming to Bessie’s tea parties and was always there to greet you when you got home from work. But most of all, he loved Arvin. He slept at Arvin’s feet at night and never left his side during the day. And when Arvin’s was away at work, Socks slept on a pair of his shoes until he got home.
And every single day, without fail, Arvin took him on a walk.
“Come on, Socks.” Arvin cooed and scratched the dogs chin. “Let’s go.”
Socks jumped in a circle before running to the basket where his leash was kept.
“Woah. You’re faster than me.” Arvin laughed as he took the leash out. He fastened the collar around Sock’s neck and held out his hand.
“Good boy.” He complimented when Socks put his paw in Arvin’s hand. “Let’s go.”
Socks was a few months older now and accustomed to his daily walks with Arvin. The people in the neighborhood were quick to notice how the dog changed Arvin’s mood. While they were used to his quiet nods and infrequent smiles, Socks brought out a side of him that waved to neighbors and asked about their families. Even you noticed how Socks changed Arvin’s personality.
“I’m home. Where’s my baby?” Arvin walked through the front door after work one day and rubbed his hands.
“I’m right- oh. You meant the dog.” You realized as Socks ran past you and jumped up on Arvin. Socks was much bigger now, but that didn’t stop Arvin from picking him up.
“Hi buddy. Did you miss me?” Arvin asked as Socks licked his face. “I sure missed you. Told the boys at work all about you. Told them what a good boy you are. Yes you are.”
“I swear, you love that puppy more than Bessie does.” You chuckled as you watched the scene unfold.
“No I don’t.” Arvin responded to you in his normal tone before returning to his baby talk. “No I don’t. No I don’t buddy.”
“Oh really?” You raised an eyebrow. “You spoil that dog more than Bessie and me combined.”
Arvin scooped Socks up and held him like a baby before looking at you.
“Socks and me don’t appreciate the attitude.” He joked. “If you’ll excuse us ma’am, we have a walk to go on.”
“You walk him every day.” You teased. “When’s the last time you took me on a walk?”
“If you grow some paws and a fuzzy tail, I’ll think about it.” He grinned before leaning in for a kiss.
“Is that what I have to do?” You laughed once you pulled away from the kiss. “If I don’t start getting the same attention Socks gets, I’m gonna have to give him away.”
“Don’t you dare.” He pretended to be mad as he bounced Socks on his hip. “We’re going on a walk now. And don’t talk to me or my son ever again.”
