Nomadic Lifestyle Less than a year since the opening of the ’NoMad Las Vegas' the much-lauded luxury hotel group, which also has properties in New York and Los Angeles, announced plans for a fourth hotel in London. It will be the first one outside of the United States. The 91-room hotel will be housed inside the historic Grade II listed former ‘Magistrates Court and Police station’ on Bow Street, Covent Garden - which had sat empty since 2006. The building has a colourful past: it was once an active court in which author and playwright Henry Fielding served as magistrate and Emmeline Pankhurst and Oscar Wilde were tried. The hotel will retain the building’s history while other parts of the original 19th-century structure will be renovated. Former jail cells, for example, will be turned into a selection of guest rooms. Interiors by ex-film set designers ‘Roman and Williams’ will draw on the original materials, colour palette and unique architecture, while referencing the decorative traditions of England’s heritage and exploring the relationship between the New York and London art scenes. There are also plans to create a museum with rotating exhibitions, which will honour the rich history of the Metropolitan Police Force. The restaurant will feature food and drink offerings under the direction of acclaimed chef Daniel Humm and his partner Will Guidara of the three Michelin-starred restaurant 'Eleven Madison Park' in New York, which was ranked best restaurant in the world in 2017. The duo are also set to open 'Davies and Brook’ a “fine dining restaurant without pretence” at ‘Claridges' this summer. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe. We stress the importance of: - Continuous sanitization, spraying and wipedown of materials, common touched areas and rooms after each class. - thorough clean up of our art school twice every week. - Digital attendance scheduling to ensure correct number of students per class. Artistori's Safe Management Measurement is still in the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) Setting. In summary, fixed pairs arranged to seat with social distancing. 1 metre or more social distancing amongst pairs. Our Creative Mix Media Art programme class will reduce the total number of students in a class to 8 only with 4 tables separated in staggered formation to cover more than 1 metre of social distancing. Per table, students are arranged in groups of 2. These groups will be fixed to the same person every week. Creative Fine Art (Art Foundation) programme class will adopt the same safe management measures. Tables are shifted to ensure more social distancing. Per table, 2 pairs seat facing each other ensuring 1m social distancing. An additional single table is placed for just 1 fixed pair. Our common area studio will apply similar seating arrangements where pairs are fixed per week and social distancing of 1m and above is ensured. We have 3 tables in our common area studio that can seat up to 5 fixed pairs to work on art. Creative Visual Art (Art Preneurship) programme digital art classroom shall remain as is current where there is already 1 metre social distancing in this staggered seating arrangement.
