F O U R. Y E A R S Four years ago today I had just finished 4 weeks of slog turning an old hairdressers into my new art business and getting ready to officially open. Swipe to see the day I got the keys! Over those four years I have worked seriously hard from the get go. In transforming the interior into the lovely studio I have today. In starting art workshops and after school art classes literally from scratch and within a year I had waiting lists and fully booked classes. In working out what worked for me and my business (lots of trial and error on that part) and in constantly adapting to the changing times and the needs of others and myself. I am very proud of everything I have achieved so far. Things are changing once again. I am now teaching privately and making sure to keep a balance between teaching and focusing on my practice. Having your own business isn’t easy but it’s very fulfilling. You have to remain adaptable and you also have to be true to yourself and what it is you want to get from it. It’s no good running around trying to please everyone, you never will and you’ll be fed up and exhausted trying to. Massive massive thank you to every single person who has helped, supported and picked me up over the years. Big or small, you have kept me going. If you’ve got to the end of this long post you’re probably one of the people who have in some way helped me.
