Art Of The Day: "The Secret Passage" 50 x 60cm Unframed Dimensions Variable 2022 - Recycled Cotton Canvas, Grains Of Soil, Bead, Marble, Enamel, Acrylic, Pen Paint, Polyurethane Stained Varnish, Adhesive. What's the artwork about? Its all started into a deep sleep and having a dream. A dream that not knowing where's the beginning nor an ending. For all you know it, you are runnning as fast as you could to save your life. Your life is in danger. Nature becomes catastrophic, nasty and antagonising. Suddenly, you stumbled into a forked road. In dilemma as to which designation should you follow. The left road is crooked, meandered and unguided. The right pathway is direct, straight forward and seemingly safe. Confused. Perturbed. Anxious. At this point of time, I woked up in the middle of the night and panting heavily. Full of perspiration rather than inspiration. "The Secret Passage" remains a mystery till today. Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its center. The force of gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun. Gravitu is an invisible force that pulls objects toward each other. Earth's gravity is what keeps you on the ground and what makes things fall. Anything that has mass also has gravity. Objects with more mass have more gravity. Gravity also gets weaker with distance. So, the closer objects are to each other, the stronger their gravitational pull is. Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. All its mass makes a combined gravitational pull on all the mass in your body. That's what gives you weight. And if you were on a planet with less mass than Earth, you would weigh less than you do here. Gravity is what holds the planets in orbit around the sun and what keeps the moon in orbit around Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon pulls the seas towards it, causing the ocean tides. It is inspired from the Japanese drama series way back in 1980's about the life story of "Oshin". It has a very moving plot that touches the heart of many to whom that have watched it.It is very motivational to learn how to cope with our life. It takes resilence to go through life in times of many challenges. To such an extent that "Oshin" have to submit herself to become a Geisha due to unforeseen circumstances. In dilemma whether to continue her gloomy life or transcends to a brighter & optimistic life ahead. Are you able to find the "Geisha" in this painting..??? Myself & The Home Owner are admiring the painting in awe. Credit to Imma, her eldest daughter for taking the photo. Finally, I've got the opportunity to view my own artwork mounted on the wall with a great sense of achievement. She also felt very joyful to pose with her upcycled Kipling haversack that I've done a 'Make Over' with. Handpainted with abstract motif using enamel & polyurethane stained varnish. The whole creative narrative of this artwork is about the element of Multiculturalism living in a plural society. A diversity of ethnic groups is depicted via choice of textile by the Artist. It conveys the roots of culture in the different ethnicities yet bonded and fabricated well to form as oneness in the fabric of society. Here, it is also incorporated with the Artist's art journal which is often in a booklet. Thinking outside the box, the art journal has merged as part of the fabric.To unite as one multi racial society though it comes from a different dimension altogether. Therefore, to learn and to adapt in a new environment. A unity in diversity as a societal cohesiveness seen in "Extended Clothing Line."
