I said this in a tweet and I'll say it here: These two have the same energy, maybe not completely one-to-one, but there is overlap.

This is a little ranty/venty but I think I'm done with the Star Wars fandom. Just fed up. And I'm shocked that it's the Imperial corner that did me in.

and while there’s been day after week after month I’ve doubted my future and struggled to reconcile the body and heart I carry to the life I want. this morning I was babysitting for a close friend and I was standing in a kitchen that smelled like candles and breakfast and home and there was a laughing child curled on the counter and coffee in my hand and sun on the floor. and suddenly I understood how this, too, was possible and I deserved it and I hope these moments are sent by our older selves to say the future is waiting kindly.

yk if any of the greek gods were real and for some reason they all asked me a favour, i’d turn them all down (with fear) but if apollo god of literally so much shit no one even knows anymore even appeared in front of me, i’d be on my knees accepting anything he wants with little hesistance or regard to whatever he wants. i dont care if hes done some bad shit or he asked me to do mass genocide, i’d do it.

hes got that kinda chokehold on me and also like hes powerful for no reason??? like hes the god of so many things, he cant not be powerful? im willing to bet that if zeus and apollo went up against each other apollo might be able to hold his own for a log while. like yeah poetry and music arent particularly useful in a fight but archery, light, sun (in some instances), and medicine (depends on who you ask) are pretty useful.

theres also so much more hes attributed to depending on what civilisation or culture we’re look at. apollo is literally seen everywhere (in ancient mediterranean) and doesnt rlly change much either (at least not big details). even his name doesnt go major changes! like hephaestus goes from hephaistos to sethlans to vulcan and a lot of other gods have their name majorly changed with each civilisation but apollo is a constant.

I miss being able to talk about my struggles with being fit and managing my weight to aid in managing my disability without being yelled at by fat activists.

Listen. Your body is your business. Be whatever weight you want. Eat what you want. Live your best life whatever that looks like for you.

But it doesn't sound like I am the one with internalized fatphobia if MY struggle with MY body is so triggering to you that you have to leave an angry screed about how horrible I am under a post you can just scroll past.

My chronic pain is more manageable with exercise. My disability will eventually cause me to lose mobility- if I stay active and keep my weight below a certain point I can take pressure off my joints and have a better quality of life for longer.

If that isn't true for you, then so be it.

But stay out of my face with your bullshit medical advice. Stay out of my DMs with your negativity. Fat people have a space in body positivity but it's not all about you. Go touch grass.
