One of the highlights of today’s stream: hearing what Soph had to say about the book pages they drew from Argentum Inanis (specifically, the one shown on screen here)! If there’s any indication that there’s more on the horizon for Marv... let this be it!

So @rogue-of-broken-time made a post about Marvin and how the "Silver Void" is the place your consciousness goes while Astral projecting and it gave me an idea.

I was going through Jack’s “3 Scary Games” video, the one with the camera watching over him? I’m not sure if this is the same one everyone was talking about with Watchr watching over Chase.
However, as a loyal Jacksepticeye theorist and a 5-year fan of Game Theory, you learn to go frame by frame to check out all of the glitches. And this is what I found:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is that a person? Am I looking too much into this? I could definitely be, but it’s only there for one frame. It vanishes directly after that. I wouldn’t take this as a confirmed person glitching in and out of the room, but it does make me question antimatter.
If this is Anti, he could be trying to break through and try to take a physical form, kind of like we see in Dark Silence. Or maybe Anti can turn into a physical entity, and that’s why he’s there for that split second. To say hi to us. The viewers. After all, we created him.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Also, thanks @isa-ghost for inspiring me to look deeper into Jack’s content- been awhile since I’ve theorized, but your posts inspired me ✨
(And don’t mind all of the tags, I don’t have a huge following on here, so I rely on them.)

I just thought of something...
I was just listening to the Argentum Inanis audio again...
Yes, I know, why did I do it after spending literal hours listening to it while editing it to try to make it clear. Well it's less about making it clear this time, as I just only listened to the original audio of it from my own post.
It has nothing to do with what was said... instead this realization actually aimed to WHO said it.
Duh, who said it? Anti. Who else could it be, haha, right?
Well...
What if it was Argentum Inanis that said it? Well half of it at least.
In the video when Marvin places his hand on the orb to look at the events that have happened or will happen (depending on when Marvin saw all of this)... We hear Anti do his infamous giggle.
BUT
The first one to speak to Marvin was not Anti persay but Argentum. The one that says "Do you want him back, Marvin?" was an growling echo. Which isn't all that surprising, Anti's voice growls and warps as he glitches out the audio whenever he shows up, especially when overly emotional in anger or taunting. At least in the past but we come to understand that Anti is much more stable than before. The thing is about that is even with the growling echo... it still closer to Anti's normal voice.
This one... was much more warped than usual. And it's making me think that Argentum spoke directly to Marvin before Anti cuts in with the "There's time" line.
And if that's true then Argentum did possess a body to go rampant as Anti. Or at least made Anti his Avatar and Argentum is taunting Marvin from his own space while letting him see what Anti is doing.
This spooks Marvin... at first you think he pulled away because of what he sees having been done or will be done... but likely the fact the creature in the book SPOKE to him directly. And he probably pulled away to avoid looking at Argentum, in case the massive ball of eyes and runes was to pop up on him in the orb.
Did Anti truly take possession of Marvin? It was implied by Sean and Robin... implied but not confirmed or denied.
Or did Marvin make a deal with Argentum to stop Anti at the cost of burning the book?

So Antimatter, huh?
Hm.
Tumblr media
That mysterious extra element.. Found in the book Marvin was looking at in Argentum Inanis..
Tumblr media
Hm.
Not to mention the fact that Argentum Inanis is linked in the description of the new WTCHR video..

So the title of the video changed from just ‘WTCHR’;
Tumblr media
To ‘The Iris Archives - WTCHR’
Tumblr media
It also now has a link to ‘Argentum Inanis’ in the description! So the two are most likely connected somehow, maybe we’ll find that out in the future.

Marvin is *not* a member of IRIS
There’s very few solid conclusions you can come to from the new video only guesswork but here’s one that I’m pretty sure of.  “But Chey!” you may ask “how can you be so sure? We didn’t even see Marvin in the newest video!”. That is a good question and one I will answer here today!
First of all let’s establish one thing very quickly, WTCHR is most likely before all of the other videos chronologically, this is not a sure fact, but it would make sense if it were, so we’re going to be acting like it is a sure fact in this theory.
That would mean WTCHR is before Argentum Inanis. In WTCHR it is said that IRIS has an Antimatter generator. In Argentum Inanis, the book says IRIS = ANTMATTER. This is where my theory comes in.
You see, in the book there seems to be two different writings.
Tumblr media
One written carefully and neatly and another in big dark strokes oftentimes scribbled in the corner and sometimes seemly having blacked out some words of the original text. They are visibly different handwriting so they’re not by the same person. The neat writing is probably the author of the book, that would only make sense considering it’s the majority of the text. The dark writing is probably Marvin’s notes. Scribbling things he knows but the book doesn’t say into the corners and crossing out stuff that isn’t true/irrelevant. He even underlined Argentum Inanis! That meaning that Marvin was the person who wrote IRIS = ANTIMATTER.
But see, that begs the question; if Marvin were a member of IRIS, why would he write that? As a member of IRIS he would know all about the Antimatter generator, wouldn’t he? So why would he need to note down that IRIS = ANTIMATTER? Also the note feels a bit...impersonal. Like he doesn’t IRIS personally. That’s not really founded on anything, it’s just a vibe.
Besides Marvin comes across as someone searching for information but getting way more than he bargained for in Argentum Inanis. If Anti was really created by IRIS as we’ve theorized, wouldn’t he know? Honestly it seems like: IRIS made an Antimatter generator, something went wrong and Anti happened, Marvin caught wind of some shit going on so decided to investigate, and Marvin gets in over his head and gets possessed.
The dark notes *could* be written by someone other than Marvin. Maybe by Marvin’s teacher or predecessor who got murked so Mavin decided to take up the mantle. We have no proof this person exists so let’s just assume the notes are Marvin’s.
In conclusion, Marvin is not a member of IRIS, he’s just someone who got more than he bargained for.

y'all, feel free to correct me, but have we ever actually seen the egos (other than anti) interact with each other?
because after scrolling through IRIS's twitter, their whole schtick seems to be the multiverse, right? and we all remember that specific noise from chase, henrik, and jj's appearances back in 2019, along with the mystery vortex in henrik's appearance and argentum inanis?
i don't think it's a coincidence that the IRIS logo showed up in marvin's crystal ball. my memory's a bit fuzzy, but i don't think we have concrete evidence that these guys even exist in the same universe either (aside from henrik and chase).
i don't think these details are unrelated.
(edit: you know what i just remembered? this fucking thing)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(marvin seems to know a lot more here than he's letting on. we all know time is broken anyway, who's to say this wasn't the end result of the 2019 appearances and marvin's fucking around?)
(it'd also give more credence to the idea that chase and henrik are from the same universe, given that henrik at least recognizes chase)

"Oh come on Marvin, am I not allowed to just be curious about your magic?"
Of course he isn't, he's more than just curious. He wants to know precisely what he's dealing with. But in this instance, he's not here to harm Marvin. The entity, despite his reputation and the blood sometimes left in his path of carnage, isn't as destructive as all of that would suggest. He is, however, still looking for information.
He wonders how well he can feign innocence. Can’t hurt to give it a try, so he offers a quirked brow and a half-smile, relaxing his posture and leaning back from Marvin. It’s somewhat unsettling coming from him, but it sure is an attempt. His voice still is as encompassing as ever, though the tone is softer.
“I don’t come into contact with much in the way of magic, can you blame me for wanting to ask questions?”

Me: doodly doo, checkin on a D&D thing–
D&D thing:
Tumblr media
Me: … *squint*
Tumblr media
ohoho?
This may give a whole new meaning to Silver Void (what Argentum Inanis translates to).
In Dungeons and Dragons, the "Silver Void" is another name for the Astral Plane, a place described as "the space between everything, the road that goes everywhere, and where you are when you aren't anywhere else". It's an extradimensional space usually only reached by performing what's known as "astral projection".
Astral projection is where you leave your body to go explore this "Silver Void". Meaning, you can still be killed in either form– if your body is slain, then your spirit follows soon after; and if your astral self is slain, you return to your body in a coma.
Sound familiar?
This could imply two things:
1: If Character!Jack's spirit was killed while he was "astral projecting" (Mayhem 2018 maybe?) it'd leave his body in a coma state. And if he was actually astral projecting, it'd leave his empty body open to possession in the meantime.
And 2: If Marvin is trying to explore this astral plane of existence in search of something, his body, too, would be left open to potential possession. Hence why he'd need to "use it with extreme caution".
What this means for Marv's orb, I'm not sure. It could've shown him visions of the past or future, or he could've been having an astral-projection out-of-body experience when he touched it. Maybe both.
… I do like this potential definition though. Lots to be explored here.

I think now is a good time to remember that Marvin’s book said “IRIS = Antimatter”, so Marvin is well aware of IRIS. IRIS follows the Magic Circle on Twitter, which makes me wonder if IRIS is working for the Magic Circle? Or maybe antimatter is connected to Anti somehow?
I’m so excited for this project nonetheless, but I’m curious where Anti stands in all of this. He was clearly glitching out the advertisement, which makes me wonder if Anti created IRIS, and he’s the power source. Maybe Anti glitches through reality because he himself is antimatter.
I’m so excited Omfg

Chase theory : He's a Psychic
Sort of. Maybe. I dunno it's a theory.
Anyway, last night in the wee hours of 2am CST I typed out a smallish theory while half asleep. Now the theory is still in the works of being worked out as we just had Project IRIS happen yesterday of Halloween~! So it won't be as refined, or at least still just left loosely there to leave room for new information that may come our way in the future.
Anyway, I gave a rough draft of the thought of why Chase is a psychic of some kind. One of those reasons was his talk of energies. Which I found a bit odd, given his character, you wouldn't think of him saying, "Not like that but there's a certain energy in this room that I felt before." But rather say something along the lines of, "I dunno, just feels like I was here before." We have painted Chase as the sad dad, the man that tried his best to be a good father, a good husband and overall good man, doing videos for youtube for a living, being the goofball dad for his kid. Granted his attitude and outlook in life evolved very differently to be a bit more down to earth and less childish. Whether that as a change to his character from the get go or reflecting his view of life after the loss of Stacy and their child. So he would grow more cynical and cautious around people with his seeing of Anti haunting him everywhere.
Anyway, it still makes it odd to have Chase say something like that. But it could be something of a slip of the tongue, likely used to talking about it to Stacy during their early days of marriage or dating... who knows. So you wouldn't think he was "special" and given his answer to Echo, he didn't realize either... at least not aware of it as much as he should have. It's likely he wasn't aware how much of a psychic he is. Probably thought he only had the ability to have premonitions, just weird deja vu dreams and and a feel for energy... just low spectrum of stuff. But didn't know how powerful he could be in actuality or has a certain, rare ability that Anti wants. Like Channeling certain energies... or connect to others on a wider scale that is useful to Anti and AI (maybe, dunno about the eyeball blob). Or perhaps has an ability to touch time in a certain way... (not likely but its on the table). Speaking of premonitions, Chase had one. Back in Dark Silence, Chase was wandering around lost in a dark space but stumbles upon a red lit hallway with Anti (whom he doesn't know who the heck he is) standing at the very end of the hall. And we all know how that went, but Robin had confirmed that scene in Dark Silence was a dream. Thus, Chase had a premonition and eventually experienced something like this himself when Stacy and their child were killed. ((By Anti by his own hands, warping Chase's family's perception into making them think they were killed by him and warped Chase's perception into trying to make Chase believe he killed his own family. Or Anti forced Chase into killing his family by warping Chase's perception and senses into thinking he was harming Anti or some other enemy when it was in fact his own family. We don't know for certain which one. All we do know is Anti torments Chase by repeatedly showing him the images of their deaths and how it's his fault. His two treasures ripped away from him and all happiness visibly drains from Chase.)) And he sees this very same hallway when he was taken from his current room to be moved elsewhere for safety (jokes on IRIS... no where in the facility is safe) and drag him out of the room to go. But to get where they need to go... they have to pass this hallway... bathed in red light. Chase recalls his dream and begins to panic about it, insisting to (I don't know Arin's character's name so I'm going to call him Arin for now) Arin that they have to leave this area, to NOT go into that hallway. He screams that he HAS been here. That He's been in this exact spot. But how? He knew he never set foot in this facility. Arin confirmed that Chase has never been here before at all, no records whatsoever of him being here prior to the recent days of interviewing. So... how did Chase know that going down that one hallway will lead to disaster? How did he know he was here before? His dream. He had a premonition of this area, bathed in eerie red light and someone at the end of the hall, dressed in dark clothing and glowing eyes... and that man is stalking towards him. He doesn't know if he dies in it or what but he knows things will not end happily if he's forced there. Sadly, he was forced across... and sadly like he knew... things did not go well. Those around him were killed, being the only one left to face the terrifying nightmare that has haunted him for months... possibly years... stalking toward him... just like in his dream.
OH! I almost forgot about two more things! Echo and Arin. Echo briefly appears to speak with Chase, warning him of Anti and him needing to escape before he's found. But it also vaguely told him that the reason Anti was hunting him down was because he was special. How special? Hell if we know, but still special enough for Anti to catch interest and stalk him everywhere. Thus he has a use to Anti... if not then our walking nightmare with a knife would have offed him long ago. And then we have Arin who oddly points out "Mr. Brody there are powers in this world that seek to harm individuals, such as yourself, that we are trying to protect you from." See that there? Individuals. Why not just say, "There's powers in this world that seek to harm the public"? Or the world? Why specifically say individuals? This further leads me to believe that Chase has a power that Anti wants for himself or seeks to destroy but do it slowly and methodically to cause as much suffering all for the sake of his own entertainment. Perhaps Anti is seeking individuals out to become his puppets but Chase, despite being battered repeatedly by mental and emotional assault of the deaths of his family, remains as himself, if just as cynical and guarded to protect himself. So this intrigues Anti and keeps hunting him down. Like a cat playing with a mouse, curious of what it will do next. Hell, Anti could be hunting him down to be Argentum Inanis' vessel or something. I don't know for sure but that's about as much reasoning as I have currently that makes me believe Chase is something of a psychic or someone of a great dormant power within him. For all we know Chase could be of a bloodline that can open and close gateways to other realms so those like Argentum Inanis can crawl on through. Don't know but that would make it more fantasy than Sci-fi horror but then we have Marvin and the AIMC running around so hey, magic exists! But I do understand this is not a lot to go on but like I said, it's not completely refined. Perhaps the whispers in the clips video would give more answers. What do you guys think? In fact, what do you guys think Chase's "specialty" is that Anti wants?
