Noticing that the flashpoint around members of religious minorities, including atheists from those groups, using the term "cultural christianity" seems to be that ex-christian atheists, or atheists who are not related to minority cultural-religious groups, think that when we say it, we mean something bad. That in this context "christian" means something derogatory, and cultural means "crypto" as in covert.
This is a neutral term. It isn't a bad thing to participate or be shaped by the culture that grows up around a religion, which includes language, holidays, architecture, food, music, storytelling themes, etc. Someone who grows up as a christian in a country that is not culturally christian but later becomes an agnostic or atheist is still a member of that broad, shared culture of holidays, food, etc.
The problem is when a majority culture uses the power of the state and of civil society to enforce cultural norms tied up in, or stemming from, its historical religion on others. This includes things like the state recognizing christian holidays, but not any one else's religious or cultural holidays; supermarkets being full of holiday associated food for christian holidays, but it being difficult or impossible to find appropriate food for Eid or Rosh Hashanah; Kosher and Halal slaughter being banned while fish Friday is still a thing, even if few students are practicing catholics; wearing crosses being fine, sometimes more fashion than religion, but kippot or beards or hijab being penalized; Assuming all religion is fundamentally similar to the dominant religion.
These are problems of cultural hegemony, not of culture. There is nothing wrong with having a December holiday party. There is a problem with assuming everyone has holidays in December and should be happy to participate in eating cookies and exchanging gifts, while not being willing to go have lunch in someone's Sukkah.
And saying people should be aware of and work to dismantle cultural christian hegemony means asking people to support colleagues who want to take time off for their holidays without dipping into sick or pto, and not assuming your world view is objective or the only correct one.
It's not asking people to "repent" for some inborn "sin" or saying anyone is secretly the thing they are saying they aren't, just like criticizing US imperialism isn't an attack on racial minorities in the US or erasing their oppression.
And assuming it is betrays a world view steeped in christian philosophy of good, evil, and personal accountability that is in no way a universal way of understanding things. It's not an inherently inferior way of understanding things, but it is specific, and assuming that it's how everyone understands things is a sign of the cultural hegemony of christian-dominant culture.

If you didn't already know: calling certain kinds of art 'degenerate', 'gross', and/or 'sick' is a nazi/fascist dogwhistle, and it's related to their pro-eugenics narrative.
Here's the deets:
From wikipedia:
The Degenerate Art exhibition (German: Die Ausstellung "Entartete Kunst") was an art exhibition organized by Adolf Ziegler and the Nazi Party in Munich from 19 July to 30 November 1937. The exhibition presented 650 works of art, confiscated from German museums, and was staged in counterpoint to the concurrent Great German Art Exhibition.[1] The day before the exhibition started, Hitler delivered a speech declaring "merciless war" on cultural disintegration, attacking "chatterboxes, dilettantes and art swindlers".[1]Degenerate art was defined as works that "insult German feeling, or destroy or confuse natural form or simply reveal an absence of adequate manual and artistic skill".[1]
Hitler's rise to power on 30 January 1933 was quickly followed by actions intended to cleanse the culture of so-called degeneracy: book burnings were organized, artists and musicians were dismissed from teaching positions, and museum curators were replaced by Party members.[2]
From the holocaust encyclopedia:
When the Nazi Party assumed control in 1933, its leaders began a campaign to align German politics, society, and culture with Nazi goals. This process of Nazification was widespread. The effort became known as Gleichschaltung, the German word for “coordination” or “synchronization.”
The Nazi regime disbanded organizations of every kind. It replaced these groups with state-sponsored, Nazi professional associations, student leagues, and sports and music clubs. To qualify for membership, a person had to be a politically reliable citizen and able to prove “Aryan” ancestry. All others were excluded from these groups and increasingly from the rest of German society.
In September 1933, the Nazis created the Reich Chamber of Culture. The Chamber oversaw the production of art, music, film, theater, radio, and writing in Germany. The Nazis sought to shape and control every aspect of German society. They believed that art played a critical role in defining a society’s values. In addition, the Nazis believed art could influence a nation’s development. Several top leaders became involved in official efforts on art. They sought to identify and attack “dangerous” artworks as they struggled to define what “truly German” art looked like.
The Nazis also claimed that the ambiguity of modern art contained Jewish and Communist influences that could “endanger public security and order.” They claimed that modern art conspired to weaken German society with “cultural Bolshevism.” According to Nazi ideology, only criminal minds could be capable of creating such so-called harmful art. The Nazis called this art "degenerate." They used the term to suggest that the artists' mental, physical, and moral capacities must be in decay. At the time, "degenerate" was widely used to describe criminality, immorality, and physical and mental disabilities.
The campaign to define and control art was shaped by disagreements among leaders. Officials competed for influence within the party and government. In this case, chief Nazi ideologue Alfred Rosenberg clashed with Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Goebbels led the Reich Chamber of Culture. As a young man, he had admired prominent avant-garde German artists. He even hoped that a form of “Nordic Expressionism” could become an official Nazi style of art. Rosenberg led a more conservative faction called the Combat League for German Culture. This effort was more aligned with Adolf Hitler’s tastes. Hitler prefered more realistic and classical styles of painting, sculpture, and architecture. Goebbels won this clash with Rosenberg by conforming to Hitler's tastes.
The regime attempted to clarify what “truly German art” looked like in summer 1937. The first annual Great German Art Exhibition opened in Munich at that time. Hitler reviewed selected artworks the month before it opened. He furiously ordered the removal of many examples of German avant-garde art. Goebbels witnessed this outburst and began making hasty plans for a separate exhibition. He intended to define and mock the types of art that the regime considered "degenerate." Hitler approved of the plan. The Nazis began confiscating thousands of artworks from German museums.
Roughly one third of the most valuable confiscated artworks were ultimately sold to enrich the Nazi regime. Another third of the artworks disappeared. Some have reemerged over the years. With few exceptions, none of the works were returned to the museums from which they were taken. German museums have not received financial restitution. In rare cases, some art from private collections was returned to its rightful owners. Several European and American museums still possess artworks taken by the Nazis.
Edit: To the pro-censorship antis who are reblogging this, congrats on missing the point COMPLETELY.

who wants peddie post-anubis fluff in bullet-point form :P
anubis reunion right before a new term is set to start
they’ve convinced whoever’s in charge of the school at this point to let them have the house to themselves for like. a week
(it’s a resident turnover year at anubis so all the rooms are empty)
first order of business? inducting everyone into sibuna who hadn’t been already
it’s mostly honorary now, but also just in case something happens to nina while the og members aren’t around
(thankfully, nothing does)
at some point, they’re sitting around and catching up and jerome (slightly tipsy) demands to know why eddie hasn’t “put a ring on it” yet
eddie splutters some excuses about wanting to finish uni/grad school/certifications/buying a house/getting stable jobs first while patricia nods along
(joy’s told her on more than one occasion that she could just propose herself.
but she knows eddie really wants to, and she’s going to honor that.)
anyway. now that he’s caught up on everything, mick insists on exploring the tunnels more
mara too—she’s fascinated by the architecture of the school (“what do you mean, the library and sweetie’s office and that shack in the woods all connect here?”)
so they spend some time down there cleaning/exploring.
willow also does some cleansing rituals which, oddly enough, does put the others at ease
but they tire of it after a few days and move on to other things like seeing how many places KT’s key can open around the school
the couples initially take the bedrooms while everyone else gets the chairs and couches in the hall
patricia and eddie immediately claim the bigger of the girls’ rooms, annoying everyone else (but hey, first come first serve)
however. all of them just end up having giant slumber parties in the living room every night
things get a little funky on friday, though. patricia suddenly wakes up early that morning to find that eddie’s no longer next to her.
she decides she must be dreaming and falls back asleep
when she brings it up the next morning, he pretends to have no idea what she’s talking about
the other girls plan a trip into town to get mani-pedis “for old time’s sake” as if that’s something any of them except amber did while they were in school.
joy insists that (read: makes) patricia get a really elegant set of acrylics she never would have chosen on her own
they come back and the boys, who were in charge of dinner, gleefully show off their tower of marshmallow sandwiches
ambers like “absolutely not” while joy mumbles something about having bad memories associated with that particular meal
nina suggests mashed potatoes and everyone else shouts her down
while they’re arguing about the nutritional value of graham crackers, eddie asks patricia if she’d like to go on a walk with him
“this week has been great but we haven’t really had much time together, just the two of us”
after that, how can she disagree?
“ok but one rule, yacker—”
“who makes rules for going on a walk?”
“just. humor me a bit.” “ok fine.”
“I lead the way, you just follow. there’s something I want to show you.”
and so they set off
they go to the field first.
“football >> soccer.” “they’re the same thing, doofus” “nO”
“here’s where we accidentally destroyed victor’s begonias. and here’s where you pushed me into a pile of manure because you had a crush and didn’t know how to tell me”
“i did NOT”
“well why else would you have—” “shut up”
they reach the crypt entrance in the woods. “oh eddie here’s where you jumped off a roof because you were so worried about me”
at to the clearing— “let’s take a moment of silence to honor our fallen friend.” “who, sophia?” “no, yacker, me. i died too, remember”
they wind back to the school and eddie pulls out a key from his pocket. “stole it from eric after grad. it should still work, i bet they haven’t changed the locks in the past century.” so they go in
their old lockers are obviously being used by other students now. “hey here’s where i kissed you.”
“ok if you start pointing all of those out, we’ll be here for days”
“your words, not mine 🤪”
at the science labs— “remember when you put moss in dad’s cookie”
at the pool— “i’m thinking about that one gym lesson where you fell in fully-clothed” “and instead of helping me you just stood there and laughed!” “excuse me, i’d just curled my hair. i wasn’t about to ruin that”
on their way back, they pass by the gatehouse. patricia shudders. “that place still gives me the creeps”
eddie draws closer to the door anyway. he stops and turns to her. “i don’t know if i ever told you this but…this is where I realized I loved you.”
she frowns. she doesn’t remember—oh.
they walk in silence for a bit after that. it’s starting to get chilly out; he wraps and arm around her waist, pulling her closer
ten minutes later—“wait, eddie, where exactly are we going?”
“I still have something to show you, remember?”
they finally stop right in front of the frobisher library. the door’s open.
eddie: “you know, this was actually a nice place to study”
“study?? the only thing you did in here was commit two murders within minutes of each other.”
“I didn’—actually yeah that’s fair”
he pushes open the bookcase hiding the tunnel entrance. “come on, let’s go back this way.”
“…why”
“reverse trust exercise. except you’re not blindfolded. cmon, you owe me this!”
she explains each of the task rooms in detail when they pass by. he knows most of it already but it’s almost cathartic for her, so he lets her talk
they get to the very end and patricia’s about to push open the door to the study when eddie stops her. “here’s where i need you to close your eyes. this is a trust exercise, remember?”
so she does and lets him guide her into the study.
“ok you can open them now.”
it takes patricia a moment to adjust to the brightness that greets her, but when she does, she can’t do anything but just gasp.
the desk and furniture are gone; instead, rose petals are strewn about the floor. every inch of space on the walls not occupied by shelves is covered in what looks like a giant picture collage of…them?
“eddie, what is this? did you—when? how?”
he shyly takes her hand and leads her around the room.
the collages form a little timeline of their time together after they left school, starting with the grad party photo booth strip right next to the tunnel entrance. there are polaroids from various dates they went on through university, pictures his mother took over their breaks.
an entire section is dedicated to random candids of her she didn’t even know he took, let alone saved.
then they reach their adult lives. college commencement, airport selfies from when they were doing long-distance while she finished grad school.
moving in together, that brief stint where they fostered kittens without their landlord knowing, buying their first house.
vacations to hawaii and vancouver and back home to visit her parents.
but it isn’t the occasions themselves that are captured in the images – it’s the look of happiness on their faces, the warmth shared between them. the love.
“what’s this section for?” she asks, pointing to a small blank square right next to the door.
eddie takes a deep breath.
“this.”
and he drops to one knee.
the world comes to a standstill.
“holy shit”
“patricia williamson—”
“yes.”
“yacker, I haven’t even asked—”
“fine, make it quick.”
“ok, ok. patricia williamson, every minute with you has been the best of my life. from arguing in the lounge to saving the world to almost burning down the kitchen more times than I can count, I can’t imagine a life without you right by my side. will you marry me?”
she says nothing but just tackles him to the floor
“hey, it’s cozy down here” “shut up and kiss me, doofus”
afterwards, as they make their slow ascent from the cellar to the house, she asks him why he chose the study of all places.
“it just felt full-circle to do it here, at anubis.”
“but the cellar???”
“the only place w any privacy. and, well, I didn’t think you’d appreciate being asked on the crocodile bridge. so.”
“did anyone else know?”
he shakes his head. “I just wanted it to be between the two of us.”
he pauses. “well, joy threatened me within an inch of my life if I didn’t get a move on within the next month, so I had to tell her something, but she thinks I’m going to pop the question when we get home.”
“lmao”
“she also said she wants a ‘pretty ring picture’ in the announcement, whatever that means”
“oh, that explains the french-tips on my nails.”
they agree to keep the engagement a secret till they get home but
they both have the subtlety of a baby elephant
(and an hour into their 2.5-hour ‘walk’ kt got worried, checked the study, and saw eddie’s set up)
so everyone in the house knows within minutes of them emerging
which honestly works out for the best because of the amount of teasing they have to endure the rest of the weekend (at least they’re getting it all at once)
the end <3

Desservir
Tumblr media
Desservir was founded on the Ambitious of the Lights Maiden (Tiana). The subjects in this dorm are Culinary Arts, Home Economic and Incantations.
Student
Desservir students have big, ambitious dreams for the future. They are clearly uptight and workaholic due to their desire to fulfill their dreams. They actually like jazz music and retro styles. Some of the students appeared to come from families that ran catering businesses.
Notable students in the dorm:
Aniket Symphonie
Laurette Violet
Antonio Roxia
Architecture
The design of the dorm building is inspires to the combination of Tiana's Palace and La Bouff Mansion.
The interior areas of the house look vibrant. The ballroom sometimes hosts dinner parties with a live jazz band on stage.
Nearby the house is the river boat that they sometimes used to celebrate the dorm events, Water Lily Gala.
At the backyard, it is a garden resemblance to the bayou. The lilypond become a main location for students because it close by the a woodland where fireflies lives.
There is a gazebo by the lake for students to drink tea. The roof is covered with wisteria flowers. Two swans are swimming by the lake.
At the far away of the garden, it is a place where often there's frogs or alligators across nearby.
Outifts
The colors are followed the characters of Princess and the Frog.
As it is the dorm of Princess Tiana, students wear in vintage styles with vibrant colors, associate with the Jazz Age.
Plus, they have a ton of clothing to choose from. As in Laurette's case, she wore a white sleeveless gown resembling classic '20s swinger attire, complete with a fur cape.
Etymology
The word Desservir is a French word of "Serve".

Christmas at the Tech, 1912-1963 - Part 1: Students’ Christmas Ball and Children’s Christmas Party
With Christmas time approaching and most of Strathclyde’s students and staff back on campus following the pandemic, many in-person celebrations and festive activities are being planned for the first time in several years. This series of three blog posts looks back at some of the Christmas activities associated with Strathclyde’s antecedent institution, the Royal Technical College (RTC), renamed in 1956 as the Royal College of Science and Technology (RCST) and popularly known as ‘the Tech’. We begin by considering two of the most eagerly anticipated events of all: the students’ Christmas Ball and the Children’s Christmas Party.
Christmas Ball
Organised annually by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), the Christmas Ball was a major event in the RTC and RCST social calendar and provided a welcome opportunity for students to let their hair down following the end of term exams. To encourage ticket sales, the SRC’s Dance Committee publicised the Ball in the student magazine, The Mask, and in the student newspaper, the Telegraph. The advertisement below was placed in the December 1938 issue of The Mask (reference: OJD/1/2/76).
Tumblr media
The Dance Committee (later the Entertainments Committee) invested considerable time and effort to ensure the Ball’s success. In the early years, a hotel in central Glasgow would be booked to host the event: in 1926, for example, the Christmas Dance took place at the Grand Hotel, and in 1930 and 1931 the venue was the Ca’ D’Oro Ballroom. By the 1940s, however, the Christmas Ball generally took place in the RTC’s own Assembly Hall, which doubled as the Exam Hall. The new Student Union building in John Street, which was opened in 1959, later provided appropriate facilities for hosting the Ball and similar functions.
When the Ball was held on campus, the Committee had the unenviable task of decorating the hall for the occasion. In 1944, the RTC’s Navigation Department loaned them some flags for this purpose, ‘and it was [also] decided that the members of the Dance committee should look around the local shops for streamers etc’.[1] In subsequent decades, as the numbers of students studying at the RTC expanded, more resources were available and the new Union building offered increased space and scope for decorations, the Committee’s plans became more ambitious. The early 1960s saw the Christmas Ball organised according to a different theme each year, ranging from ‘Arctic Aurora’ (1960) and ‘Tropical Bally-Ho!’ (1961) to ‘Neptune’s Nocturnals’ (1962: programme pictured below, reference OJA/18/2/3) and ‘Black Friday’ (1963).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Designing and constructing props and decorations for a themed event demanded specific skills for which the Committee turned to members of the Architecture and Building Society, the RCST’s club for architecture students.[2] As the Committee minutes show, the ‘Architects’ club’ chose the theme for the Ball from a shortlist of suggestions supplied to them by the Committee, opting for that which offered the best artistic and practical possibilities.[3] As well as designing and building the set and props, the architecture students also designed the Ball tickets. Unfortunately, we have no photographs of the themed sets and decorations, but they were impressive, at least according to the writer of this letter in the student newspaper of 13 January 1961:
Dear Madam, I feel I must write an appreciation of the decorations for the Christmas Ball. The Assembly Hall and the Fourth Floor landing, were masterpieces in decoration and the spiral of tinsel down the stair well was a magnificent welcome on entering the building. The Architects who de- -signed the “set” as it were, and also everyone who helped in any way with the decorating of the building are to be congratulated on their wonderful achievements. I must, however, deplore the practice carried out at the Ball itself, of stripping the Christmas tree in the Dining Hall of its tinsel so that the female participants in the Ball might be decorated still further. Not only is this tinsel costly, but it did not greatly enhance the coiffures of the ladies who were seen wearing it. To conclude, thanks to the architects, for the splendid decorations and no thanks to those members who spoiled it slightly by ruining the Tree.[4]
The Committee’s labours did not end with decorating the hall, for one of their most important tasks was to engage a suitable band or bands for the evening. The 1950s and 1960s saw combinations of dance bands and jazz bands booked to play at the Ball; by the early 1960s, an additional ‘beat band’ was also booked to play during the interval. The Committee was further responsible for hiring caterers to provide a buffet; arranging the provision of at least one liquor bar; and organising screenings of several short films (mostly cartoons) in rooms adjacent to the main dance hall. If funds permitted, the evening’s entertainment would extend to a cabaret: a ‘Malayan fire eater’, who also performed hypnotism, was booked as the cabaret artist for the Christmas Ball in 1961.[5] Less spectacular (and less dangerous) amusements were also laid on for that year’s event, including ‘Enticing Bingo Sessions’.[6]
As the decades progressed, so too did the hour at which the Ball concluded. In the 1930s, the event tended to finish at 2.00am. In 1944, the students sought permission for the Ball to last all night, but the RTC’s Director, Sir Arthur Huddleston, was averse to the idea.[7] By the late 1950s, however, the Ball was generally scheduled to conclude at 6.00am and ‘breakfast tickets’ were available, entitling each holder to enjoy a hot meal in the early morning before making their way home.[8] In 1960, a double ticket for the Ball cost 25/ and a breakfast ticket cost 3/6d.
Annual Children’s Christmas Party
As well as a Christmas Ball for the students, the Students’ Representative Council of the RTC and RCST organised an annual Christmas party for younger children from local children’s homes, held in the Students’ Union. Transport and catering costs for this event were met from the proceeds of Wednesday lunchtime showings of Fred Quimby’s Tom and Jerry cartoons, organised by the Entertainments Committee. Each student attending the ‘Freds’, as these cartoon screenings were known, was asked to give a donation of 3d.[9]
According to this report in the student newspaper of 13 January 1961, the children’s party was a loud, frenetic, but happy occasion:
The Children’s party was held in the Union on Wednesday the 28th December. Children from homes and orphanages in Glasgow as well as the children of Union employees were given a first class treat. [To] The music played by the members of the College Music Society, the children enjoyed all their favourite singing games i.e. “The Farmer Wants a Wife”, “The Grand Old Duke of York”, and “Pass the Parcel”. The band survived although surrounded by hosts of inquisitive children who found the microphone a very intriguing gadget. Lemonade, cakes, jelly, fruit and ice cream disappeared at an alarming rate. The children had a break from balloon bursting and musical games in an excellent little film show. Then Santa, alias Ian McClure, gave them each a present before they went home.[10]
A more candid report of the same event appears in another section of the newspaper, revealing that, due to an outbreak of mumps among the younger children at one of the homes, a group of 14-year-olds had been dispatched to attend the party in place of the usual 3-8-year-olds. Unsurprisingly, ‘They did not appreciate the Farmer wants a Wife as much as usual and Santa felt perhaps just the tiniest bit embarrassed . . . by giving “Bunny Painting Books” to mature youths. Luckily they were wrapped.’[11] Despite this hiccup, the annual party was both a welcome source of diversion and entertainment for the children, and a rewarding, if physically exhausting afternoon for their student hosts.
Today, Strathclyde’s students and staff continue to bring Christmas cheer to disadvantaged children in Glasgow through the University’s annual Christmas Toy Appeal. Since its inception in 2016, the appeal has provided approximately 8,000 gifts of toys, which have been distributed to six schools and nurseries and 14 charities. Staff and students wishing to participate in this year’s appeal may hand in donations of new, unwrapped toys to the University of Strathclyde Library until 12 December. Cash donations may also be made by following this link: https://onlineshop.strath.ac.uk/product-catalogue/student-experience/widening-access/christmas-toy-appeal-2022.

It was the roaring 60′s. The years in which the younger generation forged their own identities, ideas and fashion trends, separating themselves from their ancestors. It was chaotic and beautiful at the same time. The children of humanity rising against the archaic ideals of their predecessors.
But, where did she fit in all this chaos? In this psychedelic rainbow of ideas, she was still figuring out her place in the world, still trying to etch her name into history, she was unlike most of the women of her generation, because we all know, well-behaved women rarely make history.
~
Linda Kirk made her way up the stone stairs of her university. The structure towered over many in all it’s architectural glory. It’s stained glass windows streamed colorful light into the corridors.
Her heels clacked on the marble floors as she made her way towards her first class, her satchel slung across her chest, resting at her hip, slightly jingling as she reached her first class of the day before taking a seat at the front.
Her fellow classmates, who were mostly male shuffled into the class, most ignoring her presence but some sending disgusted looks towards her, for her mere presence in the class. She merely smiled at the glares, eyes sparkling dangerously.
Soon the professor shuffled in, starting the lecture and taking all eyes off her.
It was quite frankly hard, being one of the few women in a University, even more so she was pursuing Science, majoring in Engineering which made her the only woman in the elite university to be pursuing what was considered to be a ‘manly’ subject. She excelled in her studies as well, which further painted a target on her back.
The bell rang, dismissing the students. She slowly packed her bag, waiting for all the students to exit the class before zooming to her next class.
After the last class of the day was over, she was bone-tired. Her satchel felt heavier and as she entered the backseat of her car, she sighed in exhaustion. Her pink lace skirt spread over the back-seat as she buckled herself in and the car started to move. Her driver, Bill, gazed at her sympathetically.
“Exhausting day, ma’am?”
“Yes, Bill. But thankfully the summer vacations are starting up soon so I will be able to relax a bit before diving back into my homework. Enough about me, how are your children? And Claire?”
“They are doing quite well, thank you for asking madam.”
The rest of the ride continued in relative silence. As they neared the Kirk mansion, Bill said, “I heard your mother is organizing a dinner party for one of your father’s business associates. Just thought you might want a forewarning, before you’re swept up in the hurricane that is Jessica Kirby.”
Sighing, she said, “Thank you Bill, for the heads-up. Here’s a 20 dollar ‘bill’, spend it wisely,” chuckling as she exited the expensive car.
Her family was incredibly wealthy, thanks to their company which designed and manufactured luxury as well as economically purchasable cars, that way they served both the elite as well as the every-day-man. Their engines were well-built and ran for years.
The business was started by her grand-father, Walter Kirby, who had a great love for engines. His friends called him the ‘Machine whisperer’ but his true passion was cars so he started his own company, but it was only truly made successful when his son, David Kirby took over the business. He lacked his father’s knowledge of machinery but made up for it with his prowess in business. Soon their business became a house-hold brand all thanks to David Kirby’s business mind.
Linda, however inherited her grandfather’s love for machinery as well as her father’s business mind, she was quick to find errors and correct them and had foresight that almost put her father to shame. It was a pity she was not born a man.
~
She entered the mansion, seeing a flurry of servants carrying chairs, trays, curtains and a plethora of other things, all rushing to be ready for the master’s guests.
Her mother shimmied towards her, a crystal glass of bourbon in her hand as her short styled curls bounced with every movement, her heels clacking against the marble floor as she made her way to her.
“Darling! You’re back!” she exclaimed.
“Hello mother.”
“Your father is having guests over tonight and he just told me! I don’t have enough time to prepare! He thinks it’s so easy to plan magnificent dinners, I’ll see how well he can do if he were in my place,” she harrumphed, losing her train of thought.
Taking a large sip from the glass she said, “You’ll know one day, when you’re married. Anyway! I’ve instructed Mary-Lou to set out a gorgeous dress for dinner for you. Make sure to smile, God you always look so depressed with that sullen face of yours. Also, tell Angela to put some make up on you, nothing too heavy, we don’t need you looking like a call girl.” Saying this, her mother sauntered away to yell at a servant.
Grinding her teeth at her mother, she sullenly climbed up the mansions’s carpeted stairs towards her bedroom. Her mother had always been negligent, preferring her younger brother, Roy, over her. She was the proverbial black sheep of the family, because and I quote, ‘A woman should be married by the age of 20 at the most’ and, ‘You’re disgracing the family by going to school like a man’ and her personal favorite was, ‘What are you going to do with that degree? It’s not like you’ll be allowed to work. Quite frankly you’re wasting your father’s money ’.
She entered her bedroom, seeing the beautiful dress Mary-Lou had set out for her. It was ironic how Mary-Lou was more of a mother to her than her own mother.
The dress was a beautiful white with light pink lace on the flow-y bottom of the dress. Next to the dress was a jewelry box, a pair of frilly white gloves with pink edging and a pair of soft pink Mary Jane’s with a 3 inch heel.
~
Dinner time rolled around faster than she expected, she sat alone in her room awaiting a servant to call for her. She’d spent hours with two maids twisting, curling and gelling her hair into place while Angela artfully painted her face with make-up, accentuating her features.
Their butler, William called her down as their guest was about to arrive.
She descended the stairs just as the front door opened and behind her father stood a man with eyes as green as a forest. He wore an unbuttoned black trench coat, a suit vest with silver buttons that shone against the black of his outfit as well as a black button-up shirt and black dress pants and a pair of polished Oxford shoes. He had bright red hair that stood in contrast to his deathly visage.
She felt herself frowning at the stranger before her mother nudged her sharply, reminding her to pull her lips into a smile.
Her father introduced the family, the strange man was Mr John Perry who owned a chain of factories that specialized in manufacturing car parts.
He shook her brother’s hand with much enthusiasm, kissed her mother’s knuckles, whispering an ‘enchante’ which made her mother trill with delight, he also kissed her gloved knuckles which she begrudgingly placed in his hand.
Over dinner they made polite conversation, getting to know the stranger whom their father had called home. Her mother then burst out a question that made Linda freeze in her seat, “So, John are you married?”
“No, Mrs Kirk, unfortunately I have not found a woman who sings to me.”
“Oh how romantic! But surely you have your eye on someone, a well-mannered young man of 29 like yourself.”
“Unfortunately I have not had much free time on my hands to find myself a wife.”
“How tragic,” her mother said.
“Dad, so what are you and Mr Perry working on together?” Roy asked his father, curious about the business he would one day take over.
“Well, Roy, John here has come to me with a rather profitable venture. He’s asking me to license the production of our carburetor exclusively to him. If we’re able to produce the carburetor in the United States then we will be able to save millions, and of course, support American businesses,” their father replied with much glee.
At his statement she froze, the carburetor was an incredibly delicate piece of machinery that had a large room for errors. If there were any errors in construction, the car would not be able to start and it would be very expensive for them to replace. It was also not cheap to produce and they had always imported the part from Europe which guaranteed them with top quality merchandise as well as enabled them to sell their cars at a higher price.
“What a marvelous endeavor, father,” she was broken out of her thoughts by her brother’s voice.
“Mr Perry, you have never been to our mansion before, how about after dinner, I can give you a tour of our home. I’m sure you’ll find our personal gallery to be quite exquisite,” Linda said, sweetening her tone despite the venom she felt brewing in her chest.
“I would love that, Miss Kirby,” he replied, flashing his teeth.
~
After dinner was done she led the stranger away, towards the gallery. It was on the other side of the mansion so it would take them a while to get there.
As soon as she made sure that they were out of ear-shot she pounced.
“Miss Linda might I say your home is magnificent.”
“Oh, cut the bull-shit I know what you’re up to, you snake.”
“Oh really, Miss Kirby and pray tell, what is it ‘I’m up to’?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, you know well and good how important the carburetor is to the functioning of the car. Getting my father to license production to you is akin to you getting a golden ticket and the entire chocolate factory!”
“Hmm, it seems I underestimated you, princess. Let’s assume that hypothetically you’re right. What are you gonna do about it? Hmm? Run and tell daddy dearest? Please, like he’d believe you. After all, you’re just the black sheep wasting his money without even achieving anything. Honestly, Lindy you’re a freeloader.”
“How dare you?! You simply want to use my idiot of a father in order to fund your little lemonade stand of a factory. You-You-You CAD!”
“I’m not a cad, princess,” he said walking away.
After taking a few steps he halted and turned around saying, “Maybe your father should give you more credit, you’re far from the air-headed floozy he described.”
Floozy? He called her a floozy? Enraged, she stated, “And you’re far from the poor hippie chuckle head he described.”
John simply laughed at her before making his way back to the main hall.
~
That night she tossed and turned, trying to figure out a way to warn her father, but John’s words rang in her mind, did her father really call her a floozy and a mooch?
John was probably lying to get a rise out of her anyway, but it still irked her for weeks.
Her father, on the other hand refused to listen to her regarding the licensing deal, saying, ‘You don’t understand business, Lindy’. Well, she may not have had his experience in business but she certainly understood machines and production.
Regardless of her reservations her father went ahead with the deal, which led to John spending more time in their home, most of which was dedicated to getting under her skin, it seemed.
A week into her summer vacation her father announced that he wanted to hold a grand party with all his business associates in their mansion. Her father said that he would be announcing his successor at the party.
Her mother went into a tizzy, wanting only the best for her son who was sure to be the successor of their business. Mobilizing a plethora of servants, caterers, decorators and a wide variety of other people in beautifying the mansion in preparation for the rich that would surely flood their home. Everything had to be perfect, even the smallest flaw would be scrutinized by the wives’ vulturous gazes.
The purpose of the party left a bitter taste in Linda’s mouth, her brother Roy was a mere child of 19 yet he would get control of the family business and her future. Roy was a cruel boy, arrogant in his ways, constantly tormenting the staff, particularly the African-American staff, with his borderline sadistic temper and actions. He was unfit to run the family business, he lacked the patience, grace and most importantly the foresight to successfully run their business. His personality wasn’t helped by their mother constantly coddling him and treating him like the Earth revolved around him. To put it simply, he was a spoiled brat.
~
The day of the party was filled with much anticipation, her mother took more than the prescribed amount of Valium to ‘calm her nerves’. It was surely not a good idea to be mixing her meds with alcohol so early in the evening but her mother seemed to be in a jolly mood and off her back for once so she said nothing.
The mansion was tastefully decorated with twisting fabrics, flowers and lights. It seemed like it was right out of a fairy-tale.
There was an open bar at one end of the room with the bartender performing tricks. Waiters and waitresses served the rich attendees with hors d'oeuvres on fancy silver platters.
Linda was on the upper floor of the mansion, looking down at the guests from the balcony. Wearing a breath-taking soft pink gown with white lace on it, she practically screamed ‘royalty’. Her transparent elbow-length gloves and the heavy jewels around her neck complimented the dress beautifully.
As she descended down the steps all chatter seemed to cease in awe of the beauty that had seemingly descended from the heavens.
On reaching the ground floor she proceeded to mingle with the wives of the businessmen, each scathingly complementing her outfit and jewels. She wasn’t one to back down and returned their compliment’s with equal venom.
Soon she headed to the bar, looking agitated.
“Bourbon, on the rocks,” she barked at the bartender.
“Well, well, well. What do we have here? My, my, princess never thought you’d be a hard drinker.”
“Johnny-boy. Please take your plague-doctor costume and sicken someone else, I do not have the patience for your antics tonight,” something in her tone seemed...almost defeated. He then did something unexpected, he took a seat next to her and ordered a drink.
“What are you doing here, all alone, princess? Aren’t you supposed to be out there dazzling all the rich young men with your fancy dress?”
“Shove off, Johnny boy.”
“Oof, such harsh words coming from such a pretty mouth. What would your mother say? Speaking of which, where is your lovely mother?”
“She’s off getting shit-faced and clinging onto one of father’s younger business associates,” she said, taking a sip from her drink. God, she needed that.
“I thought ladies of high society didn’t curse as much as you do.”
“And I thought cads were supposed to be charming, but we’re all faced with disappointments.”
“I AM NOT A CAD!” he exclaimed, his tone dangerous, almost like a snake coiling, ready to strike.
“You’re right, you’re not a cad-”
“Thank you.”
“-you’re an asshole,” she finished, looking smug as he grew angrier.
“I would say you’re wrong, but then again, I suppose you’re right,”
Her eyes widened. Had he just admitted that she was right. “Who are you and what have you done with John Perry?” she asked playfully.
“You never answered my question.”
“Hmm?”
“What are you doing here?”
Sighing she said, “Father is going to announce Roy as his successor.”
“And that’s a bad thing because?”
“Have you met Roy?”
“Unfortunately, I have.”
“Then you get it. He’s a spoiled brat who gets everything he wants served to him on a silver platter.”
“So, who do you think would be better suited for the job? Hmm? You?” He asked.
“Please, anyone is better than Roy. But yes, I would be better suited for the job.”
“Not that I’m doubting your capabilities but you’d do more harm than good. Most, if not all of your investors would pull out and what would be left other than a mere shell of a company?”
“Don’t you think I’ve thought of that?” she said, exasperated. Pausing to take a drink, she said, “You know, if you weren’t an evil self-serving cockroach and my nemesis, then I might’ve called you an evil genius.”
He chuckled saying, “Thank you, princess. If you weren’t an irritating, head-strong brat, then I might’ve told you that-”
He was interrupted by her father holding a glass on the stairs, calling for a toast.
“Hello everyone,
I hope you’re enjoying the celebrations....,” she zoned out, not wanting to listen to the speech until she was snapped out of her thoughts.
“I invited you all here, to announce my heir, the one who will be taking over my company after I retire. After much deliberation, I have decided that the heir and successor to my company will be my son, Roy Kirby!”
At his declaration, the room burst out into cheers, their mother clapped and cheered at her husband’s declaration. Roy on the other hand was elated and John looked disappointed, standing besides Linda.
And Linda, poor Linda, she was stunned into silence. How could their father to do this?! Give all their family’s hard-work to a her arrogant brother?
She was fuming over the news when her father continued his speech.
“Now, I know some might be surprised by my decision, but by watching Roy grow up to be the man that he is I know and trust that he will take our business to new heights with his innovative spirit and acute business sense. So, I raise my glass, to Roy and the future of our company!”
The guests raised their glasses to Roy and drank.
Linda felt sick and retired to one of the unoccupied guestrooms. She had expected this outcome, their father may have been great in business but regarding his children, he was often blind to their faults, especially those of his beloved son.
She paced across the room, thinking of a way to persuade her father when she heard the door creak open. Glancing up she saw John, smiling at her with that infuriating grin of his.
“Tense, princess?”
“How many times do I have to tell you, I’m not a princess?” she said, infuriated.
Ignoring her statement, he continued, “Well, princess, I may have a solution to your problem.”
“Oh? And what solution would that be?”
“Your father has merely announced who his successor is to be, he hasn’t written it into his will.”
“And how would you know what he has written in his will?” She asked curiously.
“I have...sources.”
“So, what is your plan? Hmm? Write me into the will as his successor?”
“Yes,” she burst out laughing at his response, thinking it was a joke yet his face remained serious. She quickly sobered after glancing at his face.
“You’re serious?”
“Yes.”
“You do realize that if I am written into the will our business will reduce and our high-level clients will pull out, not to mention our investors! What you’re proposing is corporate suicide.”
“Maybe, or maybe a certain someone proposed that Roy works in the office before he takes over to ‘win over’ the investors and clients.”
“And when they see Roy’s ‘marvelous’ capabilities, I will look as a much better option as compared to him, since I have the qualifications required to understand the engines, as well as the business side of things.”
“Exactly, princess. You’re a quick learner.”
“I knew you were a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Johnny-boy but I never expected this from you. You truly are an evil genius.”
“Thank you for your compliments, princess,” he turned to leave the room when she suddenly said,
“Johnny?”
“Hmm?”
“Why are you doing this? What’s your motive?”
“Why do you think I have a motive, princess?”
“There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you are a man driven by profits.”
“Guess.”
“If Roy were to be the CEO he would be easily manipulable but that wouldn’t be good for you because if he could be swayed by you he could be swayed by anyone furthermore his temper and arrogance is what makes him dangerous, a wild card, hard to predict. He is not far-sighted either, choosing to make decisions in the moment on pure whim as opposed to reasoning out his decisions. Who’s to say what he would do? He may even revoke your contract on a whim if you agitate him too much. My brother plays checkers while his opponents are defeating him in chess.”
He slowly clapped his hands at her answer.
“Well done, princess. Placing you at the top will be beneficial to the both of us. It’s a win-win.”
“Fine, I shall agree to your scheme, but what guarantee do I have that you won’t stab me in the back, Johnny?”
“I guess you’re gonna just have to trust me, Lindy.”
“No chance in hell. I need a guarantee.”
After thinking for a moment, he said, “What guarantee could be better than an alliance forged in marriage?”
“What?!” She exclaimed, shocked at his audacity.
“Think about it, it would ensure that we do not move against each other, because a move against you is a move against myself also your business would be able to make use of my factories to manufacture the parts you need in-house,” he said simply, as if he was discussing the weather and not a life-altering decision.
“You would also gain control of the company, at least partially,” she said, smirking at the man.
“How about this, since our alliance will be purely for business we’ll set up a pre-nuptial agreement in which you can clearly state that I do not have any control of your company unless you grant me said control.”
“Fine. But you are to in no way manipulate the agreement with your ‘connections’. Do you understand me, Johnny-boy? Or I WILL make your life a living hell.”
“I’d expect nothing less, princess.”

hoooooo boy I had to think way too hard about this LOL.
I have 4 university degrees: 2 bachelors in Information Tech and Cyber Criminology, and 2 associates in Graphic Design and 3D Art and Animation. It's because I'm indecisive. And apparently I just love student debt klsajfkladg; I'm also certified in architectural design and pre-licensed for real estate. I don't even know why I did those.
I collect hobbies like they're Pokémon cards, but the one I always go back to is cosplay! I've been cosplaying for somewhere around 12 years, I think? Give or take. It's one of those hobbies that I tend to put down and pick up a lot, but I've never lost passion for it. Almost all of my sewing, Cricut, embroidery, and 3D printing projects have been for cosplay. I'm incredibly proud of my garnet rod, my revival microphone, my custom built skateboard, and anything I've made involving vinyl. ✌️
My party trick is having people throw M&M's (or any small candy) from across the room for me to catch in my mouth. Every single time.

Unlocking Learning: The Future of Blockchain in Education
Tumblr media
Blockchain technology is revolutionizing the way we think about education. By leveraging distributed ledger technology, blockchain has the potential to make learning more accessible and secure while also providing new opportunities for financing education. With a decentralized system of record-keeping and data sharing, blockchain can provide an unprecedented level of transparency and trust in educational transactions. This article will explore how blockchain can be used in educational settings, as well as some of the challenges associated with its adoption. We’ll examine how this emerging technology could help unlock learning for everyone by making it easier to access quality educational resources at a lower cost. Finally, we’ll look at some examples of successful implementations of blockchain solutions in schools around the world.
What is Blockchain?
At its core, blockchain is a distributed ledger technology (DLT) that records and stores data in an encrypted and secure format. It is a system of recordkeeping and data sharing that is completely decentralized, meaning no single entity has control over the network. Its architecture allows for trusted transactions to take place without the need for intermediaries or centralized authority. This decentralization makes it more resistant to manipulation and fraud than traditional systems. In addition, because data stored on the blockchain is immutable, it can provide increased levels of trust between all parties involved in educational transactions.
Benefits of Blockchain in Education
Blockchain technology has been transforming various industries like banking, healthcare, and logistics. However, not many people are aware that it also holds great potential in the education sector. By employing blockchain technology, educators can develop new and innovative solutions for the most pressing issues faced in the education industry today.   Secure Record-Keeping One of the primary benefits of blockchain technology in education is secure record-keeping. Educational organizations generate a significant amount of documents, including certificates, transcripts, and degrees. The traditional methods of record-keeping, like paper-based or centralized digital systems, are susceptible to tampering, loss, and fraud. Blockchain can help ensure the integrity of education records by providing a transparent, immutable, and decentralized ledger of all academic achievements. This feature can save time and resources wasted on manual verification of credentials and improve transparency for students and employers alike.   Peer-to-Peer Learning Blockchain technology can support the development of peer-to-peer educational platforms by offering a secure, decentralized network. The biggest advantage of peer-to-peer learning is that it allows learners to take control of their education and learn at their pace. Blockchain-based peer-to-peer platforms enable students to share their knowledge and skills without relying on traditional academic institutions. As a result, both students and educators can benefit from an open, collaborative, and decentralized learning environment.   Personalized Learning Another way blockchain is revolutionizing education is through personalized learning. Blockchain technology can support the creation of a personalized educational experience that considers individual needs, preferences, and learning styles. For instance, educational institutions can use blockchain to store a vast amount of data on student performance, behavior, and aptitude, which can be analyzed and used to create custom curriculums. By using this information, educators can offer tailor-made learning paths that meet the unique needs of every student.   Digital Credentials Blockchain can also help streamline and secure the credentialing process for academic achievements. Digital credentials stored on the blockchain can substantially improve transparency, portability, and security compared to traditional degrees and certificates. With blockchain, students can share their digital credentials with potential employers or academic institutions, and employers can verify them in real-time. This feature can enhance the efficiency and convenience of the credentialing process while minimizing the chances of credential fraud.   Funding Transparency Finally, blockchain technology can enable increased transparency in funding for educational institutions. Blockchain can provide a secure, decentralized platform that enables donations and funding to flow directly from donors to institutions. Such a system can significantly reduce transaction costs, increase autonomy, and promote trust between institutions and donors.
Implementing Blockchain Technology in Schools
The use of blockchain technology in schools can bring many benefits, such as increasing transparency, security, and efficiency. In this blog post, we will explore the potential of blockchain technology in schools and how it can be implemented in the education sector.   Transcripts and Record-Keeping One of the most significant benefits of blockchain technology is that it can make the process of maintaining and verifying transcripts and student records more secure and efficient. Currently, schools and universities rely on central databases to store student data, which means that records can be susceptible to fraud and irregularities. By adopting blockchain technology, schools can have a secure and tamper-proof digital ledger that can store student records and transcripts in a decentralized manner. This can help to prevent fraud, reduce administrative costs and increase transparency.   Certifications and Diplomas Another significant application of blockchain technology in schools is the issuance of certifications and diplomas. With blockchain technology, students can receive digital certificates and diplomas that are stored on a distributed ledger, making it impossible to alter or tamper with the records. Moreover, using blockchain technology for issuing certificates can streamline the process and reduce the time and cost of obtaining certification.   Secure Communication and Collaboration Schools need to ensure that sensitive data remains protected from cyber-attacks and unauthorized access. With blockchain technology, schools can establish secure communication channels, allowing students and educators to communicate and collaborate safely. Blockchain technology can also help to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information and data by providing an immutable records system that allows administrators to track and monitor access.   Payment Systems and Financial Aid Distribution Administrative tasks such as distributing financial aid, processing payments, and managing student fees can be time-consuming and costly. Blockchain technology can be used to streamline these processes and make them more efficient. Schools can implement blockchain technology to distribute financial aid and process payments securely and transparently.   Digital Identity A digital identity is a unique identifier that can be used to verify an individual's identity online. Blockchain technology can be used to create a decentralized digital identity system that is secure, transparent, and tamper-proof. With blockchain technology, students and educators can create digital identities that can be verified and authenticated easily, providing a secure and streamlined way of accessing services.
Using Cryptocurrency to Fund Education
The use of cryptocurrency in schools and universities can also provide a more secure and transparent alternative to traditional payment systems. Schools can accept donations or pay for services using cryptocurrency, making the process faster, cheaper, and easier to track. Furthermore, blockchain-based tokens can be used by students to purchase educational materials or pay tuition fees securely. Preventing Academic Fraud Blockchain technology can help to reduce the risk of academic fraud by providing a secure and tamper-proof way to store and access student information. With blockchain technology, schools can create an immutable record of student data that cannot be altered or tampered with, reducing the chances of fraud or irregularities.
Making Learning More Accessible and Secure
Blockchain technology can also be used to make learning more accessible and secure. Schools and universities can create online classrooms that are powered by blockchain technology, providing students with access to educational materials securely and reliably. Blockchain-based platforms can also enable remote learning opportunities, allowing students to gain knowledge from anywhere in the world. Overall, blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize the way schools and universities operate, making processes such as issuing certifications and diplomas, transmitting data securely, distributing financial aid, and processing payments more secure, transparent, and efficient. By leveraging this revolutionary technology, schools can create a more accessible, secure, and cost-effective learning environment for students of all ages. By implementing blockchain technology, schools are not only making sure that the information is secure but also ensuring that it is accurate and reliable. This helps to reduce the amount of time and cost of obtaining certification. With blockchain technology, schools can create a secure and reliable way to store and track data, making sure that it is accurate and up-to-date. Furthermore, blockchain technology can help schools to reduce administrative costs and make processes faster, easier, and more secure. Ultimately, blockchain technology can be used to improve the way schools operate and provide students with a secure and reliable learning environment.
Overcoming Adoption Challenges
The challenge in implementing blockchain technology in the education sector is its adoption. Schools and universities need to be willing to invest in the technology and devote resources to properly educate staff on how it works. Schools could also look for ways to incentivize students and faculty to use the technology by providing rewards or discounts for those who embrace it.   Lack of Awareness and Expertise One of the most significant challenges schools face is a lack of expertise in blockchain technology. Many educators either do not understand blockchain technology or do not know how to implement it. Educators need to invest in professional development resources so that they can better understand blockchain technology and adapt it to suit their academic needs. Schools can also look to partner with technology companies that have dedicated blockchain experts who can provide the necessary guidance and training.   Limited Budget for Implementation Another significant challenge that schools face is budget restrictions. Blockchain implementation requires an upfront investment that may deter some schools from adopting it. To overcome this challenge, schools can explore cost-effective blockchain solutions, such as open-source blockchain platforms or hosted blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) solutions. Schools can also look to partner with blockchain startups that specialize in the education sector, which may be more affordable than established blockchain companies.   Integration with Existing Systems Another major challenge of implementing blockchain technology in schools is integration with existing academic systems. Many schools have already invested in legacy systems, which may be difficult to integrate with blockchain technology. One approach to overcoming this challenge is to take a phased implementation approach, where schools can gradually integrate blockchain capabilities into the existing academic infrastructure. Another approach is to adopt blockchain solutions that offer seamless integration with existing systems, such as blockchain middleware.   Regulatory Compliance Schools must comply with a range of regulations and laws related to student data protection and privacy. The introduction of blockchain technology in the education sector may leave educators uncertain about its compliance with data protection laws. To navigate these challenges successfully, schools need to involve legal experts in the blockchain implementation process. Schools should also consider blockchain solutions that comply with regulatory requirements, such as permissioned blockchain platforms that offer greater control over data access and sharing.   Resistance to Change Finally, schools face the challenge of resistance to change. Educators may be hesitant to adopt blockchain technology due to concerns about its security and effectiveness. To overcome this challenge, schools can engage with educators meaningfully and effectively to explain the benefits of implementing blockchain technology. Educators can be assured that blockchain technology offers a secure and transparent way to manage academic data that can benefit both students and educators.
Conclusion
Blockchain technology is a powerful tool that can revolutionize the way schools operate and provide students with a secure learning environment. While there are several challenges to overcome when implementing blockchains in education, such as lack of expertise, limited budget for implementation, integration with existing systems, regulatory compliance, and resistance to change; these challenges can be managed by taking a phased approach or partnering with experts who understand blockchain technology. With careful planning and execution, schools have the potential to unlock immense value by leveraging this revolutionary technology.   Sources: THX News & e-Learning Industry. Read the full article

The Twenty-Tens, a Decade in Review
Based in Los Angeles, California, the ABCs of Attraction team features coaches of Asian, African, Hispanic, and Caucasian descent, and has been entrusted with the dating lives of students of every ethnicity. Unlike the other reviews you find online, our team has extensively used more than 100 different apps in the past year, including buying the paid memberships. That put pressure on the Hinge team to matchmake with greater accuracy, which required them to extract more meaningful data from the app to determine what made relationships last, and how to predict them. A good dating app for international matchmaking knows that people have different needs. I would want someone good with money. You want to send a message that your match can relate to, said Ray. The app is free, but you only have 24 hours to send a message to a potential match unless you sign up for a Boost membership, which will run you $11.99 per month. Like anything online you need to be aware and keep yourself safe while using this app. No, I don't respect women like that. No, she loves me.
No, not as long as we like each other. I don't think about things like that. I don't think women are funny very often. The casual fonts and modern design layout make this template easy for casual websites like the dating site. Narayanan et al. Bumble, for instance, only lets women message first, whereas OkCupid and Grindr offer pronoun options. This always left me confused, sad, and heartbroken after things didn’t work out when the red flags were in front of my face the whole time--I just chose to ignore them. Slap me in the face and say she never wants to see me again. No, they say my girlfriends are too bossy. I should also say that when I first began I used “duplicate” on the dialogue and music tracks, to make sure that when I started cutting and pasting, I’d still have the original version of each track in case I didn’t like what I had done. Keep in mind that the changes you make on your Dating profile won’t influence the information on your original Facebook profile.
