a/n : haven’t posted in a while… i finally found time to write (it’s literally passed midnight, only free time i have i swear) anyways i know i literally just released another fic about cherries but jake literally gives cherry? like imo if he were a fruit he’d def be a cherry (maybe sunghoon too? but he gives more like blackberry or coconut) also i’m trying a new layout(ish?) adding the divider after a few sentences rather than before.

growing up jake was never a fan of cherries.

“is it yummy?” jake cooed at you, his eyes never strayed away from the cherry tucked between your lips, his imagination never ending.

he didn’t wait for your reply before he responded for you, grabbing your chin and forcing your head to nod up and down.

“well, i think that it would only taste so much sweeter from your lips” his fingers gently pressed on your cheeks, forcing your lips open with a quiet pop.

he delicately pulled it out from between your teeth, his breath catching in his chest as he watched the colour smudge across your lips, painting you red with his desires.

he leaned his lower body against yours, his leg parting your legs even further. his chain gently rocked against your chest as his heap swooped down, his lips connecting with yours.

jake groaned into you as the nectar met his taste buds, his eyes squeezing closed tighter as his movements fastened. his lips sucked yours, a messy kiss as he attempted to steal all leftover juice from your mouth.

the second he no longer tasted the fruit on your lips he pulled away, his lips swollen as his cheeks flushed the same colour of the cherry.

“or maybe your skin” he looked at the marks littering your chest, some a little too faded for his liking. a quiet gasp left your lips as the cold sensation spread down your neck, stopping as it reached a familiar spot on your neck. jake’s favourite spot to mark you.

jake’s breathing audibly fastened as the cherry’s colour transferred onto your skin. the colour contrasting, almost highlighting your faded purple spot.

“it’s so pretty” your lower body throbbed at your boyfriend's purr, your need for him only growing as the seconds passed. you felt him everywhere, everywhere except for the place you longed for him the most.

“please” you didn’t know exactly what you were begging for, but jake seemed to understand perfectly.

your body arched into his chest as his lips attached to your neck, the cherry held between two of his fingers as his lips sucked a third mark.

a soft sigh of approval left his lips, the vibrations spreading across your body. “i was right” he trailed off, lifting the cherry back onto your skin, dragging it to the right.

“you taste-“ his tongue followed the red trail, lips ghosting across your skin until he reached the next fading spot, “-so good”

a soft moan left your lips as jake gently nipped at the spot he just finished remarking, his lips pulling into a mischievous grin at your addicting reaction.

jake made a whole show of slightly pulling away, removing his lower body from yours. his eyes meet yours as he moves to straddle you, his knees pressing against your hips as he lowers himself onto the top of your thighs.

He maintained eye contact as he raised the cherry near his face, barely opening his mouth as he pressed the cherry against his lips. both your arousal and confusion grew as jake just rested the bitten part of the cherry against his lips, making no move to eat it.

the juice began dripping down his bottom lip, red streaks staining his skin as it travelled down at a constant slow speed. jake still did nothing but sit there, the cherry against his lips as he stared down at you with an unfamiliar look.

your jaw dropped as he finally reacted, his tongue gently poking out to lick a small part of it, his nose scrunching up in disdain.

he pulled the fruit away in disgust, his eyes teasingly squinting at you. “it doesn’t taste good unless it comes from you” he broke your staring contest as he looked down at your buttoned lace blouse, head slightly tilting to the side as he pretended to think.

“and i'd hate to ruin such a pretty shirt” he fake pouted at you, acting as if he’s disappointed. “i guess i’ll just have to remove it”

he placed the stem between his teeth, using one hand to undo the buttons, and the other to push your hair out of your face.

you went to aid jake with removing your blouse but froze on the spot the moment a tsk left his mouth. he only had to shake his head once before you relaxed your body, head resting against his pillow as you allowed him to unclothe you.

your shift was soon discarded on the ground, a garment that will soon be used as a reminder of what jake did to you.

“that’s better, isn’t it?” a sly smirk kissed his lips as the cherry returned to his hands, hovering over your neck hii la

for a moment before he changed its route.

“now i can touch you anywhere” you nearly flinched as the fruit touched your navel, a new blushed path beginning.

“a cherry for my cherry” his hot breath blew against your sensitive skin, goosebumps sprouting along your arms. “only mine”

your head flew back as his lips once again pressed against you. only this time, he knew exactly where this next path would lead.

but now, he’s never loved them more.

i’m not sure if this is something that people are interested in, but i kind of wanted to make this as a personal thing anyway in case i end up losing all of my occult related mods one day. these are mods for occult sims that i have in my game and either can’t live without, or am excited to try out myself!

this is heavily inspired by many other wonderful must have mod lists, so thank you to everyone who has made one of these as this post will follow a similar layout and structure and inspired me to make my own. i’ll try my best to keep this post up to date! - updated 6th april 2024.

mods marked “new!” aren’t necessarily new mods, but are new additions to this list.

vampires.

bloody bites & wounds.

i think i’d consider this my most essential vampire mod. it’s not for everyone, as it is quite gory, but i personally love that this adds levels of blood messiness depending on how much they drink etc. it’s pretty self explanatory otherwise!

vampires can kill.

this is a fun one that just made sense to me. i’m not one to have violence mods in my games, but sometimes a vampire can get a little carried away and drink more than they should, y’know?

immersive vampires.

i’m a big fan of any mod that adds depth to the way sims can interact with each other, even if it doesn’t have a significant effect. this mod adds the ability for vampires to ask others more about vampires and confess that they’re a vampire etc.

vampire magic.

i still have yet to actually play with this mod, but it appealed to me after making my vampire the masquerade sims and the tremere clan as they’re known to be magic users of sorts. i also really like how this mod can add a special sage too, and you find out vampire spells by asking the sages!

vampire bloodlines.

reworks the vampire bloodlines a little bit, making each bloodline have a different weakness/strength level in regards to xp gain and energy drain when being exposed to sunlight.

vampire initiation ritual.

this is another mod i haven’t played with yet but i 100% plan to when the time is appropriate in my gameplay. this adds a special event for a vampire initiation, where you can invite other vampires to witness the turning of a human.

more drinks for vampires.

another mod that i’d consider essential for my gameplay, i’m always on the lookout for more vampire drinks and food as the game is lacking them! this mod only adds drinks though, featuring a simple glass of blood and a blood cocktail. these can also be accessed from the vintage glamour bar which i think is super handy.

vampire food set. & NEW plasma foods!

similar to the above mod, this features food specifically for vampires. i do wish there were more vampire recipes, though. i also wanted to mention srslysims’ cooking overhaul includes some vampire recipes too, and for those who enjoy playing with vampire toddlers, this mod is great!

plasma fruit override.

pretty self explanatory and simple. it makes the plasma fruit look more blood-like by making everything red, this is something i’ll only use sometimes depending on the vibe of the gameplay i’m doing with vampires as sometimes i want it to be more sims-like and keep with the purple theme. but i’m currently using this mod!

vampires weakness freedom.

this is something i like to be selective with with my vampires, some i want to give weaknesses and some i don’t. i used to use mccc to remove weaknesses after picking their powers but this one allows you to pick powers without requiring weaknesses, too! but you can still pick them if you’d like. i also highly recommend this creator’s other vampire mods, such as no friendship decay from hissing.

misc. vampire mods.

there are a few other minor vampire mods that i want to include but they’re not major enough for me to make a section for each, so i decided to link the creator i depend on the most for my vampire mods, zero. they have various mods that i find to be more quality of life things for vampires, such as the pass out animation being more dramatic, and many more.

spellcasters.

alchemy overhaul.

once again, one of the most important mods for spellcasters i think! this mod allows you to create the outdoor retreat potions with the cauldron, adjusted the prices and ingredients and you can also purchase alchemy ingredients at the computer.

functional spellbook.

i actually adore this mod and every spellcaster of mine has one in their home! it’s very helpful for spellcasters that live in small homes as they can learn things from the book without having to walk all the way out to a big open space to practice spells in front of their neighbours.

expanded spells collection.

another handy mod that expands on pre-existing spells for your spellcasters. it adds more depth to certain spells such as allowing to clean pets with scruberoo, adding new types of summonable undead with necrocall and more.

craftable wands, brooms & tomes.

this one is completely new to me and i actually just found it when i was compiling this list, but it seems exciting to use and a great idea for running an alchemy shop. it’s pretty self explanatory, it allows you to craft certain wands and brooms with the woodworking table. tomes can be written on the computer like a regular book.

kids can perform magic. UPDATED (untested)

i know this mod used to work at some point, but i’m not 100% sure if it does anymore as i remember having some problems the last time i had a spellcaster child in my game. i was recently browsing this creator’s patreon and discovered that i THINK this mod has been updated? i haven’t been able to test it yet but here’s hoping! but if it does work or gets updated, this is a great mod as i never understood how magic for children wasn’t a thing in RoM already.

magic realm initiation rework.

i really like the sound of this mod as i never personally liked the “mote hunt” to become a spellcaster. this mod makes it so that each sage has a different task for spellcaster initiation.

misc. spellcaster mods.

similar to vampires, i depend on zero a lot for my spellcaster mods. they have many other minor quality of life mods or spellcasters as well that i highly recommend you check out if you play with spellcasters a lot!

werewolves.

i want to add a sidenote to this section to say i actually haven’t played with any of these mods yet as i have yet to play with werewolves in general, but i wanted to include werewolves in this list regardless as there are actually mods for them now!

mooncasters.

this mod seems to essentially give the ability for werewolves to be spellcasters, but they’re called mooncasters. it seems a bit complicated to become a mooncaster, but this mod looks very well thought out and in depth!

werewolf blood kills vampires.

i put this in the werewolf section as it seems to be more beneficial for werewolves than vampires, considering it has dire consequences for vampires. but the mod name itself is pretty self explanatory!

werewolves can kill sims.

another self explanatory mod name, and similar to the vampires can kill mod. werewolves can attack and kill sims with this mod!

no relationship loss from werewolf reactions.

i never liked these features that EA adds that makes it so that all sims react negatively to occult sims, so i’m happy to have this addition in my game!

less furious werewolves.

another mod i have yet to experience, but it seems that werewolves’ fury meters fill up way too quickly so this seems like an important one.

fated mate changes.

changes the way a werewolf can find their fated mate. previously, the werewolf would have to use a romantic interaction to discover if a sim is their fated mate. now this mod can make it so that any interaction can find their fated mate. also makes it so that a werewolf can find a fated mate whether they’re an occult or not!

werewolf club activities.

allows you to add werewolf activities to a club, essentially making a club version of a werewolf pack!

werewolf tweaks. new!

pretty self explanatory. this mod features a few tweaks for werewolves such as giving vampires a venomous bite, more vicious rampages and even a tea to protect sims from werewolves.

werewolf bloodlines. new!

basically the same as the other bloodline mods included here, but for werewolves.

various occult mods.

this section will feature mods for other occults or multiple occults, considering i haven’t found enough to give them their own section yet. werewolves will be added once more mods are made and i’ve experienced them to see what mods i find useful.

occult activities.

this applies to both spellcasters and vampires, and i think it’s really useful! it allows vampires to go out hunting in a rabbit hole if you don’t feel like helping them hunt for sims to feed from, and spellcasters can forage for ingredients for their potions.

supernatural traits.

this is a great mod that allows you to add special traits to your supernatural sims. these can either add depth to a pre-existing occult sim (i.e, a vampire with a haunted trait) or make new occults all together (sort of).

enhanced aliens. CURRENTLY BROKEN - Causes wants & fears to not show up!

this mod adds some well needed features to aliens. it gives them powers such as mood boosting and draining other sims and mind control powers that allow them to command a sim to do things, plus some other stuff.

alien bloodlines.

this basically just adds bloodlines similar to those that spellcasters have to aliens, but i definitely think it’s worth using if you play with aliens!

ghastly ghosts.

something that i’ve ALWAYS wanted is the ability to make ghosts feel more unique, and this mod seemingly does exactly that. now only certain sims can see ghosts (children, occults & mediums) and ghosts can’t easily communicate with living sims anymore, making those sims that can see ghosts feel special.

dormant occult traits.

this allows sims who have a lineage of occults to be born with a dormant trait related to that occult, which is apparently something that came with werewolves. these dormant traits can be unlocked in certain ways and allows said sim to rediscover their lineage and become that occult!

various occult food.

this find was HUGE for me, considering i’m always wanting more food for vampires in particular. BUT this list features foods for other occults, too!

credit of course goes to all of the wonderful mod creators, and i want to credit those who have made mod lists before me as i was heavily inspired by those lists.

Mosquito Bites - short scene

Turning your head from side to side you examined yourself carefully in the bathroom mirror. Wine stained blossoms were creeping from your collar bone to below your jaw. You sighed, touching them gently.

“It’s a damn good thing my mother isn’t here Billy Hargrove...” you huffed drying your hair and leaving the room to look for a shirt.

“And why’s that?” he mused, flicking his cigarette out the open bedroom window.

Rummaging around in your drawers you found the top you wanted slipping your arms into it.

“Because there’s not a chance in hell I’d slip past her looking like this.”

He licked his lips thoughtfully looking you over, lounging among your pillows.

“–––let alone smelling like you.” You added.

He grinned wickedly.

“Mommy’s good little girl isn’t so sneaky, hm?”

He quickly rose from the bed, pulling your t-shirt from your arms and tossing it aside.

“Don’t start.... I just showered...” you whined pathetically.

The space between you two was closing quickly and soon your options for escape would be nonexistent.

About to turn and run, he caged you in his arms looking positively smug.

You looked up at him with the biggest doe eyes you could muster.

Your final plea.

“Billy... school is in thirty minutes.”

“Fuck’em.”

“But....”

His lips were on yours.

Game over.

He was drawing you in, biting your bottom lip harshly, a low rumble in his chest egging you on.

You clasped your hands desperately to his biceps, you were fading fast already.

“Billy....” you whimpered.

The day was going to be shot.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

“Hey kiddo, it’s me! Just checkin’ in! Got some grub!”

Billy looked at you quizzically.

“Hopper” you manage to puff out.

You grabbed his wrist shoving him into your closet.

“Quiet.”

You quickly got dressed and answered the door.

“Hey...” you said meekly looking up at the adult.

“How’s it going kiddo?” He stepped inside and placed a brown paper sac on the kitchenette counter.

“Good. Settling in.”

He nodded, his eyes scanning the small apartment in approval.

“Glad to hear.”

He started walking towards the bedroom.

“So... Hopper —!” you croaked loudly, blocking the bedroom doorway.

He stared over your shoulder curiously at the messy layout.

“Is there any reason you came by... or can I just see you at the station later? School starts soon.”

He crossed his arms, running his hand over his mustache in thought.

“Yuh, I s’pose. Nothin’ big is happening. I need you to come in a bit earlier to run the phones. Flo is out this week.... her daughter just had a baby.”

You nodded. “No problemo.”

He looked at you suddenly worried. His chest bulging. “What are those?”

“What?” you asked dumbly.

“Those....” he pointed to your neck.

“Mosquito bites” you said, slapping a hand over them.

“Mosquito bites” he repeated in disbelief... “In April.”

You laughed nervously, “yeah I’m like candy... to ‘em. Can’t get enough of me.”

The clothing hangers in your closet shifted.

Hopper craned his neck into your room, “what you got in there?”

You started shoving him back towards the front door.

“That? The top shelf is unstable, falls out sometimes... no biggie.”

He looked over his shoulder at you.

“I could fix that for you...”

“Nah I’ll have the super do it. Hopper I have to get to school!”

“Right.”

He grabbed his keys off the counter as you wrenched open the front door.

“I’ll see you this afternoon.”

You hastily waved and slammed the door.

“Mosquitoes huh?” Billy mused.

You jumped.

“Shut it...” you grumbled, a blush settling across your cheeks.

“Like caaaaandy...” he drawled grasping at you.

Before he could grab you, you pinned the bag of breakfast sandwiches to his chest.

“School. Now....”

The rest of the day went by without incident.

That was until after school.

You were waiting with Billy. Max wasn’t out for another couple minutes.

“You’ve caused me so much trouble today...” you looked over at him as he lit up, arm hanging out the driver’s window.

He lolled his head over to look at you, a small smirk pricking his lips.

“Not such a good girl after all....”

You inhaled sharply, looking away.

Thank God. Max!

“Hey Max! How’s it hanging?” you said with immense relief.

“Hey!” she tossed her skateboard in and climbed into the backseat.

You smiled happily.

Max gasped audibly. “What the hell happened to you?”

You turned in your seat, picking your brain for a believable answer.

“Well it’s a––”

“Mosquito bites...” Billy said cooly, starting the engine and peeling from the parking lot.

Your face flushed bright red as you sunk back into your seat.

“Gnarly...” Max replied.

FMP Conclusion

Sunday 7th April 2023

This blog post includes a comprehensive reflection of my final product.

My final major project at university is a time I will never forget. It was one of the hardest times of my life. My Grandmother, Brenda, and I were extremely close. She'd be the one I'd phone on my walk back from uni, telling her about my day even though she didn't have a clue what I was doing. Losing her was shocking but I'm so glad that I had the relationship that I did with her. I could blab on about how wonderful my Gran was all day because of how much I really did love her. So, basing my project on her and the family home that I lost with her, was one of the most perfect ways to grieve and express myself creatively.

From the start of this project, when I decided that I wanted to go down this route, I knew it needed to be just right. Collecting her belongings from the house made me realise that these objects were the only things I had left from her other than my memories. This sparked a creative fire inside of me, and I couldn't wait to get started experimenting.

The process of this project took endless turns. From photographs, printing, exposing, and photoshopping to mapping the items- I frankly do feel as if I tried every route I could. But it wasn't easy to come up with these experimentations. A lot of thought, reflection and emotional thinking went into all of my experimentations which I believe makes my experimentations just as strong as my final outcome. What I enjoy about the other elements I produced as a result of my project, is they're mine. The polyprint sheets I created out of my Granny's peals I think are a beautiful piece, and one I will frame and keep in my home in the future; adding another reason why this project means so much to me. There were complications in my projects, there were days where I was in a rut and did not know how to progress. But, I got out of them purely by experimenting and pushing. I think about what my project would have been if I hadn't thought of that one idea, or went down a completely different path.

I feel as if I worked well this term. Unlike other terms, I have been consistently motivated to continue moving forward. This could be down to the context of my project or my maturing as a designer. Managing and organising this project has been the best since I started uni. My Excel organisation document meant that I could see my daily to-do lists, map out my weeks and balance other projects on the side. The list also held me accountable for not finishing any work, meaning I was more motivated to keep pushing to get everything done that needed to be completed. Having a weekly roundup helped me reflect on how I had been working and what I could do better. My sketchbooks have been a great addition to my workflow. Ditching the lined notebooks to a blank page allowed me to stop being so particular about being neat and to just do it. These organisation and documentation changes will come with me as I leave university.

What was refreshing about this project was the amount of physicality there was. Apart from creating the house key, type and grid layouts for my cards and digital measurements, everything else I did was physical. As I've mentioned previously, I think this is extremely well suited to my project because of how much of a creative child I was, constantly getting my hands messy in art projects -way before I even comprehended what a computer was! My future is looking promising towards working for an agency, and in a digital era, I'm sure physical projects won't come up o often. Therefore, I'm so glad that my major project took such a physical approach.

My final outcome, on a personal level, I am very proud of. It is a representation and conclusion of the past few months, and I am so pleased to see it all come together. But, from a constructive perspective, some points need improving for it to be exhibited in the Grad Show. Such as the inside keys, for example, they could have done with tweaking to be cleaner. The vinyl on the outside of my box is very precise and modern, and I feel when you open the box, the inside box lid lets that feeling down. The vinyl isn't straight on my box, and to improve on this I intend to screenprint it in the future. My cards are a little hard to get out of my box, and some finger holes would have been a nice touch. Some of my prints, I worry, are too faded or not interesting enough to be as large as they are on A5. Using cyanotypes was a bit of a nightmare, but to improve in the future (and whist the proper sun is out!) I intend to redo my cyanotypes to make the prints more visually captivating. All of these things don't change the way I judge my project. I am still so satisfied with the outcome and I hope that I made my Grandparents feel proud of what I achieved.

This project is one I will always remember. Not only from an emotional level but from a perspective of how amazing my final term has been. I value the course and everybody I have met on it, so for this to be my last project is saddening. However, I am looking forward to the next stage of my life and I'm grateful for what Vis Com has taught me for me to be in this position.
