Romans 12:2 (NIV) - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Finished Episode One. Here's My Take Away:
INAKI IS THE EMBODIMENT OF LUFFY'S JOY! He did FANTASTIC with portraying the confidence and happy-go-lucky attitude Luffy is known for.
The changes to the story were noticeable but not unwelcome. I think it added a solid pace to the story that doesn't crush it for the anime/manga fans but made it appealing to someone unfamiliar with the content
The casting choices were ON POINT
The set designers and costuming department deserve a raise. Everything looked accurate and perfect
I'm pretty sure Aidan Scott is actually Helmeppo in another universe and we got blessed to see it merge.
All together it's giving Pirates of the Caribbean with a touch of whimsy and I mean it in the best way.
The animation of the Gum Gum Fruit abilities came across without being cringe.
The only thing I DIDNT like being how flat they made Zoro's voice/personality. He's definitely got more air between his ears than brain. But I don't necessarily dislike serious Zoro either.
Overall I give it a 10/10 in a non-dramatic way. They really put a lot of work into this and it's evident.

Okay I watched episode 2 today also. Sue me.
The cinematography in this one caught me JUST AS MUCH as the story. The lighting and storyline parallels were ON POINT. The switches flowed super well between timelines and didn't feel clunky at all
They did change the ENTIRE story to this portion though - but it came off successfully. The big top had a little more interest to it than a rooftop fight.
Buggy wasn't...ideal. At first. I feel the actor had a hard time rolling with the introduction of a character who is equal parts threatening and dumbass. Once he gets rolling though, he really nails it, so it brought me back around.
They didn't include Richie OR Chouchou and that is a crime.
I think the town being held as a captive audience instead of tiny refugee camp was a way better narrative.
We didn't see Buggy get kicked in the nads and that's a damn tragedy. The rest of the Chop Chop Fruit scenes though? Those went great.
There's a ton of foreshadow and symbolism tangled in that I appreciate
Zoro got some life to his personality. Kudos to his character.
S E A K I N G
Nami's ear piece was unexpected and mildly icky. I want one.
Coby's story from the cover pages is ALSO being included and that is fantastic. It gives me hope we're gonna get a lot of extra detail that they easily could have glossed over but deliberately chose to include.
TINY BUGGY!!!
Lucky Roux is adorable
Benn Beckman does NOT look the part but he damn well walks that walk
Yasopp killin it too!
Overall it's a 9/10. Had a couple shaky moments and definitely didn't immediately stab into you like episode one, but that's common for shows and the anime probably also falls into that for a lot of fans starting it. It's still gripping enough I'm not upset at all and want to keep following through with the show. Experience still worth every moment.
