Yes, Priscilla's my number one child but I don't consider her as a sim. She's an OC from a different story. Let's just say I used TS4 as a visualizer for her and the others (Tony and Albert).

Anywho, if we put Priscilla aside, my golden child in the sims is her:

Lady Lana Beau! Before starting the Davis Legacy Universe, she had existed already, and was named literally after myself when I was exploring the vampire life state in TS4. I almost almost made her into a super-sim because of that.

Currently, she is one of the heads of House Beau-Asvang, derived from an ancient vampire noble house (combination of House Beau and Clan Asvang). Its members consists only of her, her older sister, Lady Lenora Beau, her cousin, her fellow head of house, Valentina Asvang, and Valentina's clan descendant, Percival Asvang. She, along with her cousin, had only recently reawakened in the modern world. Originally, she planned to revive their house, and probably dominate all of simkind. To do that, she had to reawaken her older sister who had a failed human transformation, and was forced to hibernate to heal, retaining her vampiric self. To reawaken her sister, she planned to use Valentina's descendant, Percival, as the key ingredient for the reawakening.

Obviously, that didn't work, because a certain Overlord thought of something else that doesn't involve a sacrifice, which gave Valentina relief. I'm sure she's disappointed, because Lenora was revived, but she was "incomplete". Lenora will have to heal naturally, and it would be long, and on top of that, Lana's not sure if her sister will return to her normal self, like how she was before their hibernation.

She continues to seek how to fully revive her vampiric house, no matter the cost. Why? I have no idea either.

This is her before the makeover (and before I discovered CCs):

Very different, no? Only one thing remained: her color is violet. Because that's my favorite color!

Now, on to my least favorite:

Percival Asvang. A descendant of the Asvangs through Valentina's youngest brother, Rufus, so not as ancient as the others. You see, I don't hate him, but his creation, and the lore that followed that, was kind of abrupt. Side: Swanson & Harper went deeper the more I write about it, and luckily that side story will now conclude (not done with shooting though lmaooo).

He's my least favorite because story-wise, I think his lore is weak. I have to make it up for myself how to write him, in the other segment that I'll write.

Anyways, some background: he was the key ingredient for Lenora's revival. You see, Clan Asvang served House Beau. Thana forced her family to clung to the Beaus, seeking to raise their power and influence by doing so. To do that, however, you need to also have literal strength in your vampiric power. In their case, their bloodline was weak, and so they were treated only as the Beau's servants. Not until Valentina evolved through Lana's rigorous "training" (don't ask me what that is, all I know is that it was the reason Val despise her).

Anyways, this earned everyone's respect for Valentina, but not the whole family. Fast forward to modern times, Percival is an example that their bloodline is evolving. They're not weak anymore.

He was among the vampire attackers that attacked two prominent families. One of the family contracted him and his sisters to eliminate the Swansons. They did, except the sisters spared two (Elizabeth and Sid). When asked to provide proof, especially the proof of Sid's death, they couldn't present anything. They hurt his sisters, which resulted him killing the family on a rampage. His sisters told him to flee, and he did. What they didn't know that the contract was sealed with magic. He would hear whispers to finish the job, which then leads to the story of Side: Swanson & Harper.

Currently, he lives under House Beau-Asvang. Thankfully, the Overlord casted a charm that helps him calm down temporarily. He's not entirely sure what to do now, but he's going to follow Valentina.

I got so weary of endless testing that always seemed to take longer and longer that the next time my game passed the test, I went back in for some medieval makeovers. (The repositoried Celtic Bed set is 100% the culprit of the moment. I am now replacing it with the original and will then have to test for the next problem CC.) No lot builds, because I am missing a lot of stuff I want in, and I don’t fully trust Buy/Build Mode not to crash yet.

The Jacquet family:

and Denise! They wound up slightly bland for Yeomen, but I don’t think either of them cares that much about style and fashion. Currently, I’m planning to have them run the local Hedge Tavern--although I recently realized that the idea is for Yeomen to be farmers, not Peasants, and am debating whether I need to have a hedge tavern in every subhood. Bluewater Village can support both a tavern AND a yeoman farmer, though, with two Yeoman families.

And Melody! I’m particularly pleased with Melody’s unladylike outfit, which I feel matches her original look pretty well, but they all turned out nice. They’re the Merchant family of Bluewater Village, and will probably own a Food Market like most of my starting Merchants. Might reevaluate that once I see how things go.

Finally, Florence Delarosa, the Gentry of Bluewater Village and my last sim of tonight! I’m not sure I noticed before her unique face shape, which is very cute when styled well, and I like how she turned out! Have not decided yet what her occupation should be, but her top priority is gonna be finding a husband with no inheritance of his own, so she can keep her title and position.

So, a very small update. Next sims to makeover are the Ramirez family, followed by Strangetown which I’m looking forward to. Strangetown, then Riverblossom Hills, then Veronaville, then Sim State University, then La Fiesta Tech, and finally Academie le Tour. That’ll be all the playables, and I’ll snag townies as they appear. I won’t be ready to play until I finish remodeling or rebuilding all the homes and businesses I need in Belladonna Cove, though, but makeovers are fun. I’m probably also going to do extremely light remodels on the other buildings in BDC, just enough so they look reasonably medieval from neighboring lots. Full remodels will be saved for after they are purchased and put into play.

I’m also pretty much out of stuff I can add to my spreadsheet or obsess over while I can’t play the game yet, which is a bummer, but for those unaware I am very proud of the calendar I worked out and the ages and birthdates I calculated for everyone. I also made up rules for ships and war and came up with some ROS events... I really need to be able to play! All I have left is assigning traits, secondary aspirations, and hobbies, all of which are better done in game anyway. Oh, and I also realized that some of the houses I have built might be too big, and LOTS of the premade houses coming up are going to be too big for the class of the inhabitants, so I’m gonna calculate a land value based on the size of the lot x 100, and sims living on a lot which has a value exceeding their social class-based rent will have to pay an additional 10% of the land value as part of the rent. This will encourage sims to move to a more appropriately sized lot if they can’t afford the one they came with.

GUESS WHO’S HERE AGAIN. Seriously wtf is the wolf’s problem, why does he constantly show up in every lot except the one I want him to, GOD. 

Anyway, let’s get this update rolling cause I wanna get back to the main house at some point, it’s unreal how much time I spent on the spares, I really didn’t expect them to be such a shitshow. We begin with Melody and Gunther, who remain shockingly, disgustingly happy:

I’m not kidding when I tell you guys that Gunther hasn’t rolled a single cheating want his entire time with Melody. Loyal king! 

So Melody is in like her 100th LTW, she became a Mad Scientist while married to Daniel, then she became Hand of Poseidon-

-then she became a World Class Ballet Dancer (wtf lol)-

and finally she became an Ecological Guru! We stan a Renaissance Woman.

She also earned 100k without having it as an LTW, but whatever, it counts!

Melody also got to live her dog dreams as we adopted Lulu and she had 4 puppies with Benny..

..whom I named after painters since Gunther is an art ho:

This is Dali, Pollock, Frida, and Vincent! Unfortunately, as evidenced by Lucy Hanby’s presence, Gunther’s weeaboo house is not meant for this many pets, so we kept Frida and sent the other 3 to live with Angel and Wulf so we’ll be seeing them later (these dogs are the. WORST).

Finally, Gunther grows up in this iconic ‘leather blazer + boxers outfit’, when I tell you guys I lold for 5 min-

-and then Melody comes home from work, finishes her 5th LTW (I can’t remember what it was) and grows up in the same outfit! CUTE

And they lived happily ever after, ignoring their kids♡

We switch to Daniel, who’s.. uh.. not doing great. He had to get a job because it was Melody who was bringing in the big bux, and between that, taking care of JuJu and taking care of his 50 cats, he’s perma exhausted. 

He’s also rolling depressing fears such as above, thankfully between his kid interactions and his cat interactions he’s always plat. I did change his LTW from Golden Anniversary to the Journalism one because honestly I don’t think he would remarry anytime soon, he’d be focused on JuJu plus he’s bound to have some trust issues :(

The blows just won’t stop coming, as Roux, the last of the original Komei cats, passes away💔 End of an era.

-So you see, June, sometimes a family is a Daddy and the kids in one house, and the Mommy in a different house with Uncle Gunther! -But why is Mommy with Uncle Gunther? -Beats me, honey.

Despite the traumatic divorce, JuJu remain absolute units, I can’t believe their skill points-

-and Daniel remains the best sim parent I’ve ever had, I can’t believe Victoria and Komei produced him. 

Then at other times, I can believe the Komei part.

I just want him to be happy instead of talking to his trees :(

-Ok, Jul, so we agree that Dad needs a serious relationship yesterday? -Absolutely, Jun, before we know it he’ll go from talking to the tree to marrying it. 

-Nana, we have a cunning plan to get Dad a girlfriend, I need you guys to help us make Lucy attractive to him!

It’s JuJu’s birthday, which Melody shockingly attended, I legit thought she might not come-

June is FUCKING ADORABLE. She looks so much like Melody from the front, but from the side..

June celebrates her birthday by immediately kissing Sugar, who is.. her uncle Jojo’s grandson, so her cousin, once removed? If only we lived in the time period Sugar gets his clothes from, this would be fine, sorry Jun! 

Julian grows up right after and is also INSANELY ADORABLE. The first thing he does is hug June, I cannot, just like when they were bebes♡

With the kids about to leave for college, Daniel married Tara-

-and promptly knocked her up! I didn’t want more kids but I felt bad for Tara because having a married family aspiration sim with no kids is borderline cruel. And how did Tara repay me for my kindness??

We legit have so many cats now with Tara’s added three that the lot was flashing pink and JuJu had to fuck off to college early, but they’ll be living with Sophito and Sugar in the UUU Greek house so we’ll see them again soon!

And Daniel grows up!

Sim Dump 2 (Part 1) - GC Downtownie Teens + Rainelle Neengia

Goodies are below the cut!

It's been a while since I posted the first Sim dump in this Downtown Residents series I seem to be doing. (1 year and five months to be exact!) but I do follow through on my promises...eventually!

This sim dump is split into 2 parts because there are 15 sims in it. Originally there were only going to be the 6 Downtownie Teens and Rainelle Neengia. Now there's a bit of a surprise waiting in part 2. (surprise is spoiled below the cut btw....so yeah, if you want it to actually be a surprise....go to Part 2 first...)

But first I'd like to take a moment to link you back to the first sim dump I did in November of 2020. I linked this sim dump because the parents in it are the sims I used to genetically correct the Downtownie Teens and Rainelle.

Between the first sim dump and the two parts of this one, you will now have 26 new or refreshed sims to populate Downtown with! 26! and hell I'll probably still end up making more....Downtown has a ton of lots, and quite a few of them are residential lots....(speaking of...possible downtown makeover in the future? Idk yet but I'm considering it if I can figure out how to do it.)

All sims SHOULD be packaged without CC (aside from my defaults, but those won't matter, your game will just replace them with whatever your defaults are or with the actual EAxis clothing and hairs) but on the off chance I missed a wayward piece of CC I recommend that you use Clean Installer by Mootilda. I recommend you use clean installer for anything anyway though. (Previews of the sims without CC, aside from my defaults, are included in the Zip.

But without further ado...

Sim 1: Rainelle Neengia

Rainelle is an adult in the download, but because she's a teen in my HC I also included a picture of her as a teenager just in case you want to age her down! Her parents from the first sim dump are Odelia and Antoine Neengia.

Sim 2: Kestrel Teens/Tricou

Kestrel (along with all of her other Townie siblings) is a teenager in the DL, just as she is in game. Her other parent from the original post is Alyssa Arrington. I used my edited Jon Smith (Johnathan) Tricou (SURPRISE! that's what part 2 of this dump is....My edited and in the case of Jennail, Nylissit, Fricorith, and Gvaudoin, Genetically corrected Tricous.) combined with Alyssa to create Kestrel's new look.

Sim 3: Loren Teens/Tricou

Loren is a teenager in the DL, just as he is in game. His other parent from the first Sim Dump is Lorraine Adams. I used my edited Jon Smith combined with Lorraine to make Loren's new look.

Sim 4: Orion Teens/Tricou

Orion is a teenager in the DL, just as he is in game. His other parent from the first Sim Dump is Anna Marinos. I used my edited Jon Smith combined with Anna to make Orion's new look.

Sim 5: Patrick Teens/Tricou

Patrick is a teenager in the DL, just as he is in game. His other parent from the first Sim Dump is Mae Ayers. I used my edited Jon Smith combined with Mae to make Patrick's new look.

Sim 6: Swan Teens/Tricou

Swan is a teenager in the DL, just as she is in game. Her other parent, whom she shares with Patrick (they're twins in my HC), from the first Sim Dump is Mae Ayers. I used my edited Jon Smith combined with Mae to create Swan's new look.

Sim 7: Tiave Teens/Tricou

Finishing this part of the sim dump off is my GCd version of Tiave Teens/Tricou. He's a teenager in the DL, just as he is in game. His other parent from the first Sim Dump is Jacqueline Ellington. I used my edited Jon Smith combined with Jacqueline to make Tiave's new look.

Now for the DL links. This one isn't a pick n choose kinda deal, But if you don't want all of the sims (not sure why you wouldn't) just delete the files from them.

A text document of the recessive genes I intended for these sims and preview pictures (both with CC and without CC) are included in the Zip.

*If you want my versions to replace the EAxis versions, use the Alt-Sim-Surgery plugin for SimPE to replace the facial structure of your hood's versions of these sims (Downtownie names will be random, so you'll have to search for the teens, Rainelle's name will be the same as she is technically considered playable by default, you just have to resurrect her with something like Sim Manipulator's Death and Creatures manipulator). Some gene manipulation in SimPE will be necessary if you want these sims to have my intended recessive genes, as sims alt sim surgery has been used on will by default have the same dominant and recessive genes, but it's really not hard to do.

Please note: you have to trick SimPE into thinking you've "installed" the sims to use the alt-sim surgery plugin, to do this just use clean installer and change the install path from the default to a folder somewhere on your desktop that is separate from the game's files. After you've "installed" the sims you can use the plugin to load in the package for the sim. Packages have a random sequence of letters and numbers as their names, and SimPE will not show you what the package looks like, so you'll have to keep track of which package is which sim. I usually make subfolders in the folder on my desktop for each sim.

Lothario Family

First family in my round is Don Lothario, everyone’s favorite womanizer. He’s one of my favorite Sims due to the drama he carries. He’s also hot.   ...  Anyways, let us begin. 

As we know, Don Lothario is a womanizer. He is currently engaged to Cassandra Goth, and yet has other romances going on. Right now he is currently involved with twins Nina and Dina Caliente, and Kaylynn Langerak, a maid who is also entangled in another web of love. Hilariously enough, Dina Caliente is involved with Cassandra’s father Mortimer, and she also used to be married to Cassandra’s maternal uncle, Michael Bachelor. Don also tried to make moves on Cassandra’s mother, Bella, before she got abducted by aliens.  Yeah, we’re in one household and already the story is going crazy. 

Onto Don. When you first play Don, he has a day off from his job as an intern in the medical career. 

This is the pop up that first comes up when you play this household. The game suggests that Don calls Nina Caliente on the phone and invite her over. However, if you pick up a pile of trash, you get this pop up. 

When Don calls the maid service, the maid that is assigned to him is no other than Kaylynn Langerak. 

This only makes Don’s love life just a bit spicier. And if you’re into the drama, it can definitely add some fuel to it. 

Kaylynn came over and cleaned up Don’s place. When she finished, she asked Don if he wanted to hang out. I chose yes, and Don had some fun with Kaylynn.

He dismissed her afterwards and went to call Nina as the prompt originally wanted. 

Nina, no. From what I’ve seen in my game and others, when you allow Nina to bring a friend, her friend is Dina. That will only make things awkward. 

My defaults kicked in, so I had to give Nina a quick makeover after this. 

Don invited Nina into the hot tub and they had their hot woohoo. 

Don had a want to woohoo with Dina as well. I was going to satisfy that want when someone was outside his condo. 

Hi Cass. 

Cassandra does not expect a thing. Not even when Kaylynn phones Don and invites him Downtown. Here is Cassandra awkwardly dancing in the background.

Don is still a Romance Sim, so while he fears getting married, that does not mean he doesn’t want to woohoo Cassandra. One charming flirt and make out later, the two end up having a fantastic night. 

Let us now hope that Don does not break her heart at the wedding. 

After Cassandra left, I had Don pack up most of his belongings in his inventory. This included his bed, his paintings, his tv and couch, etc. If he ends up marrying Cassandra, he will move out and his stuff will be sold. I used this moving sign mod that sells everything in his house except for the lighting, plumbing, and kitchen appliances. Here is to a hopefully new chapter for you, Don Lothario! 

And with that we end the Lothario round. 

Bonus:

Does anyone still remember my sims 2 to sims 4 uberhood project from like a lifetime ago? Well I’ve been going back to in since like a month. I finished Veronaville/Oasis Springs and Desiderata Valley/Newcrest in the meantime. I’ve also remade the premade sims to make them look more accurate to their sims 2  originals and to match their traits even more to their personalities. I own more packs now so the builds look way better (though I didn’t revised the Pleasantview/Willow Creek lots). My goal is to finish and really play this save! I always wanted to play an Uberhood in the sims 2 but I don’t have the nerves to do so. But with the Story Progression of MCCC I might be able to skip households that aren’t interesting to me. We’ll see how this works out in the end. There is still a lot of work ahead of me. Let me know if you are interested in pics! Under the cut some notes to which world will be which ‘hood and some thoughts about them and my system for giving sims 2 premades sims 4 traits (mainly for my own reference when I’m not on my usual device).

Oasis Springs -> Veronaville -> Done Might be a funny decision, I was even asked before why I decided to do so. I stated that Veronaville always gave me Mediterranean vibes, I never gave Veronaville a winter season in sims 2. And I mean climate change is real you guys! This is probably what a Mediterranean area looks like today.

Willow Creek -> Pleasantview -> Done This is the obvious choice I guess. All makeovers can be found in the tag above. Sims have been remade.

Newcrest -> Desiderata Valley -> WIP Desiderata Valley has quite the suburban vibe to me, with the skyscapers in the background of Newcrest I thought that was really fitting. The lots are a bit small (as are a lot of lots in sims 4) but I made it work. Currently recreating the sims. I always had a soft spot for DV and I missed playing them. Some lots are really hideous!

Granite Falls -> Three Lakes I don’t own Outdoor Retreat but I plan to build the lots I planned for it anyway and save them to the gallery (if I ever get the GP).

Magnolia Promenade -> Bluewater Village (partial) In Magnolia Promenade I’ll build the own businesses by the Ramirez, Jacquet and Landgraab family.

Windenburg -> Bluewater Village I know that a lot of players see Windenburg more like Veronaville but I thought the whole setting with the big urban part would be more fitting to a Shopping District. Still don’t know who to handle home businesses...

San Myshuno -> Downtown (partial) and Belladonna Cove (partial) It makes sense to turn San Myshuno into Downtown. The Apartments will be filled with Belladonna Residents though.

Forgotten Hollow -> Downtown (partial) The vampire parts of Downtown would go to Forgotten Hollow. I don’t own the Vampires GP though. I’ll still build the lots and to the same as with the Three Lakes lots. Might get Vampires in the future...

Brindleton Bay -> Riverblossom Hills Those two ‘hood just give me the same vibes, idk...

Selvadorada No changes to the hood. I don’t own the pack, I don’t plan on getting it and even if I would, I’d have no idea what else to turn it into.

Del Sol Valley -> Belladonna Cove (partial) This would be like the uptown part of Belladonna Cove. I don’t own the pack so same as for Granite Falls and Forgotton Hollow applies.

Strangerville -> Strangetown Do I really need to elaborate this? I don’t think so. The lots in this world are really small and the Strangetown lots tend to be huge so I gotta improvise, but I’ll make it work!

Sulani -> Twikki Island This is pretty obvious too I think. With the possibility to have rental homes in residential worlds I could turn Sulani de facto into a vacation hood. Yet I don’t own the EP so same as above applies.

Glimmerbrook -> Magic and Belladonna Cove (partial) Glimmerbrook will be the homes to all thise magical beings from apartment live (and a not so magical neighbor of the Cordial sisters).

Britechester -> SSU, LFT, ALT This one is really giving me a headarche. I’ll include one residential lot from each S2 University and merge the Sororities and Fraternities of the SSU and LFT. They’ll move into Dorms I think. Don’t know what to do with the rest of the students yet.

Evergreen Harbor -> Belladonna Cove (partial) Probably just made this decision because there are apartments in Evergreen Harbor too. Will turn it into the low and middle class part of Belladonna Cove. I really don’t like this world, guys it’ll probably be a lot of community lots.

Mt. Komorebi -> Takemizu Village Guessed it, right? xD See Sulani on the how to. Mt. Komorebi will see a special inhabitant as it has one lot more than Takemizu.

On Traits:

I take Sims Personality, Hobby, Aspiration and Secondary Aspiration to calculate their traits. I use my own playing preferences and experiences on what Sims 2nd Aspirations and Hobbies are.

hey everyone!! so i’ve just about collected all of the sf entries, and i’ve been getting them all organized and in game. but you’re probably wondering, what happens now? so i thought i’d go over a few faq type questions in this post!! (if you have anymore questions, please let me know and i’ll add them)

general questions

what are you doing with our sims, anyway?

well! at the moment, i’m sorting cc, giving them lil makeovers so they all fit together/in my game, and figuring out where they fit in everything i already had planned. this is a teeny spoiler, but all of them won’t be auditioning- some are already trainees with SF! but knowing how they DID audition was important, so that’s what i asked for~ hehe. i didn’t want anyone to get hopes up because not everyone will be in the posts all the time- i’m still writing and figuring out dynamics and stuff, and i have my own characters too of course- but i’m hoping everyone will show up at least once.

what exactly are you changing about them?

i’ll be changing their appearance somewhat in terms of some skin details, makeup, and clothing (dependent on the scene in question). but i’ll be keeping them as close to the original sim as i can while getting them a lil closer to my style (and lessening the load on my poor poor mods folder, lol). also, personality wise there may be some changes, just to fit the plot. i’m keeping 99% of everything you guys said, but i’ll be adding some things too. just because, though there won’t be any over the top “villains” in my story, people (especially young vulnerable teens in a stressful situation) are complicated and have flaws!! but i won’t be making them totally different sims or anything like that.

can we talk to you about our sims more?

yes!!!! if you have something to add, feel free to message me anytime. i love bouncing ideas off people, it just makes stories 10,000 times better imo (and i’m more of a roleplayer than an author at heart, i admit it willingly lol)

what the heck is this story even about???

like i said in the casting call post, it’s about yoonie’s entertainment agency, sugar free. yoon isn’t a main character in this, exactly, bc i wanted to focus on new sims, like a next generation type of thing, but it IS his company. so his life will have a lot of influence over what’s happening in the story, even if it’s not all on screen (which is relevant to the next question). but overall it’s about the trainees.

are there any potential triggers i need to know about?

yes. note that a large amount of these mostly have to deal with backstory, and while they may be mentioned, might not actually appear in the posts themselves. however, i will still tag EVERYTHING appropriately just to be safe. and will do warning text posts in advance if something i didn’t think of before pops up. here’s the list for now:

i don’t intend this to be an over the top “dark” or mature story exactly, like i said a lot of this is rooted in backstory mentions, but there are some things that also just go along with the subject matter (homophobia, colorism, eating disorder, etc). it’s not drama for the sake of drama, but realistic i’d say. i’ll treat everything as sensitively as i can and, like i said, include appropriate tags. esp. regarding transphobia as my yoonie is trans and very candid while being in an environment that isn’t always accepting and kind.

how will the posts be formatted?

i’ve gone over this a lot in my head, because i’m always caught between doing subtitles on posts and writing in the description. so this is what i think i’ve settled on: the posts themselves will usually have dialogue subtitles. however, down below i’ll write a much more descriptive version of what’s going on, including all the dialogue from the subtitles. i hope this will help especially with people that find it difficult to see subtitles on pictures/just don’t like them that much, as well as people that don’t want to read everything in big blocks of text.

do you already have posts finished? is there a schedule?

i already have some posts finished and i’ve been doing a lot of writing. however, since i just got everyone’s sims, i’m still working out some plot points with new characters. there won’t be a formal schedule. i just wanted to share from my personal universe in a fun way (and see all you guys’ amazing sims hehe).

in-universe questions

when does this take place?

2028. bangtan has been disbanded for seven years. sugar free entertainment is still in its relative infancy as a subsidiary of big hit entertainment. big hit still has the same CEOs, while jin holds a president position. source music still exists as a subsidiary, and so gfriend is still a thing, but txt does not exist here. for reasons... you’ll see eventually.

where does this take place?

two countries: us and sk. i’m using sim cities too, but i consider them to be “american” cities (ex. san myshuno). sfe is based in korea of course, but yoon does a lot of traveling and capitalizing on the western market (so he holds auditions in usa, canada, etc too)

simlish? english? korean? what’s going on with languages?

just because i like simlish (lol), in this universe simlish replaces english. but of course, i’m still typing in english so everyone that is an english speaker can understand XD plus, that’s the only language i’m fluent in... tho being fluent in simlish would be an achievement, haha. all other languages still exist, korean, japanese, etc.

Hi Sam!!!!

So... Awhile ago, I was looking at the founders of my bpr, and thinking, wow, I made them 2 years ago (3 in Plum’s case), my sim style has changed so much. So, on a whim, I gave them makeovers. Not to say I don’t like the original sims, unless it’s Casper, but I really liked how they turned out! Plum looks... Nearly the same, he’s a sim ahead of his time. This ended with me thinking, you know, I really liked the intro to my bpr, but I also don’t. I liked the general idea I had, but I didn’t like how I actually portrayed it, and a lot of ideas I had changed partway through so it wasn’t quite as good as I had wanted it to be.

So. Why not redo it? Not the whole thing I don’t have the heart and soul for that, just the intro. With the makeover sims. It just works better that way. Maybe. I’ve already got most of it laid out and some of the scenes done, so there’s that!

Some changes to come:

Casper’s family, namely his mother, is actually part of the story now, whereas originally they just didn’t exist whatsoever. There’s also subtle references to someone who wasn’t part of the story when I was writing the original intro, because when I was writing it, I had no idea what I was doing. Just generally more on Casper’s family and how they’re really the ones who run this rodeo.

Coconut’s mother has changed quite a bit. Instead of being strict for the sake of being strict, she has her reasons. One being that her husband spoke up against Casper’s parents, and was never heard from again. He was pretty useless in the first place, I didn’t know what to do with him, but now look he serves some sort of purpose.

There is more emphasis on the kind side of Casper, in which it’s actually seen. Just little things sometimes, reading books quietly by Coconut painting, bringing her art supplies, letting her use his phone. My original plan was not to have him part of the story after she runs away, so originally his only personality was jerk. He’s still a jerk at points, but now he’s someone that Coconut can’t bring herself to hate.

For set-indulgent reasons there is so much more gasper. I have a problem.

Anyway so if anyone wants to tell me to stop starting projects I haven’t even finished the one thing I should be working on, that would be great

And that should be all the sims I have living in Veronaville right now. I’m trying to keep couples to having only one child now, but you can see how well that’s been working...

Anyway, here are the households living on the Monty side of the river. The Montys themselves are in a makeover I’ve done of the Ranch, and the Dottores are living in another original Veronaville lot I made over. All the other lots are downloaded ones, mostly from MTS.

The Monty side is basically one large district, but the Capp side has 4 separate ones. The Capps themselves have only recently moved into a makeover of Capp Manor (after a few genie wishes for money). Most of the other lots are from other, more talented creators.

So, all those family photos are from the end of round 19(!) which means I’m about to finish the fifth in-game year of Veronaville. Feeling pretty accomplished. I’ll try to share family photos every round, especially since I’m so close to the premades from the start of Maxis’ Veronaville being born!

Progress report:

I downloaded many medieval things from many sites. Still need to install most of them. The big problem was attempting to download literally everything from Almighty Hat--I was planning to mainly just go for objects at this point, but there was so. much. hair. and medieval undergarments! different ones from the other Almighty Hat ones I already had! ...so eventually I bookmarked the hair pages I thought I didn’t have, and promised myself to do a hair run later. That means it feels like I only have PBK left to scour for objects, without counting things like GOS gift sets as I don’t even know how to begin searching through that without literally looking at everything.

The CEP seemed to solve the blue on the medieval wood set... until I loaded a lot where I had already placed them. Then the blue was back, would not depart, and any new attempts at placing also came with blue. This is after emptying my cache AND clearing all the thumbnails, you understand. I guess placing the blue objects was a bad idea as now the lots have re-cursed the objects with blue? Should I just sell and replace the cursed objects with different ones, or do I need to do another re-download, or what? I will have to see.

Anyway, today I built a beekeeping farm for the Patels that turned out pretty great. Try as I might, I could not make the lot be worth $35,000 as yeoman lots should be, but it’s fine. There’s only so much decor I could cram in there anyway.

I forgot to position the camera correctly to see the ceiling, but trust me it has one. Oh, probably I left the game set on an upper floor after taking the outside picture. Mea culpa!

Bush clipping in from outside, might have to deal with that. I found I like clustering the fridge, sink, and tub next to each other in my medieval kitchens in an effort to imply that they are sharing a small water supply rather than having the whole house full of plumbing wherever.

Second floor! I have finally figured out to put roof walls above interior walls. This room is currently a vague nursery, and has loads of space for more children as needed. 

The bed looks a little overly fancy, but it wasn’t expensive. I’m just going to pretend a relative carved it all nice for them.

The yard! Little outhouse, five beehives ready to be filled, a honey press, four apple trees and one each pear and persimmon for variety, and a row of blackberry bushes.

Rows of herbs and berry bushes, and in the distance a slightly overgrown cluster of shrubs and wildflowers for the bees to enjoy!

And a small market stand out front to sell their herbs, fruit, and honey. Maybe someday, they’ll add a fully indoor home store to sell out of, but right now I love this house too much to change it. It’s that glamorous yellow plaster-and-timber exterior, I am sure. I’m a little concerned I made it too nice for yeomen, but it has the correct number of rooms and furniture (plus some decor and one extra side table for the scroll phone), and they didn’t even fill out the standard pre-garden yeomen budget of $35,000, so it’s probably fine.

And I am getting very close to finishing the makeovers of Desiderata Valley, after which will be everyone’s favorite, Pleasantview!

The second yeoman family of Desiderata Valley, after the Ottomases, is the Jocque family.

Sophia Jocque. I try to match the colors of each sim’s original outfit unless I find something else I like better, and I made a point of giving her long, soft hair to counteract her very square jaw. I think she came out looking really nice!

Marcel Jocque. Nothing special, but I’ve been trying that hair on lots of men and am pleased I finally found one for whom it worked!

Violet Jocque, now with one long braid instead of two short ones!

Next we have the Bells, the only merchant family of Desiderata Valley.

Hannah Bell. Although I usually vaguely aim in the direction of whatever texture a sim’s original hair is, in this case I didn’t think it was particularly sensible to give Hannah and Sharon straight hair. No straighteners in the medieval megahood! Besides, she looks much nicer with those braids.

...and Sharon looks amazing with this short curly mop. She’s a tad rebellious anyway, and I didn’t want to repeat my longer curly hairs this early.

Isaac Bell. It was kinda tough finding him an outfit that reflected his colors without being too high or low class, and without simply repeating what I’ve put on other yeomen. As you can see, I didn’t quite nail it (his original outfit is pink and grey), but this works; he looks like he’s got a bucket of charisma.

And Daniel Bell, sneaking in one last use of the TV before everything goes full medieval.

Finally, the gentry of Desiderata Valley, Lady Natasha Una.

...she’s still obsessed with grilled cheese. I might change that, but then again I might not. She’s one of the highest ranking available adult women, so she probably won’t stay single for long. Her best prospects are currently Duke Armand DeBateau, Lord Nervous Subject/Specter (I’ll probably change his last name to Specter, Subject is his... hostage name), or, failing either of those, Lord Geoff Rutherford, Lord Connor Weir, Lord Kent Capp, or Lord Frances J. Worthington III. Kent Capp is less likely, as I want to prioritize him for ladies that need to keep their names and positions, but he’s definitely an option, and they have hit it off before in other, non-medieval megahoods I’ve played. 

I just have to makeover the Aspir family, and then I’ll be on to the peasants of Pleasantview. Also, I have decided that I need to finish making over all the playable sims (including the college sims) before I can start actually playing, in addition to completing all lot construction and remodeling in Belladonna Cove. I... am not sure yet whether it’s a great or terrible idea to start actually playing before I finish Everything, but it at least makes a nice smaller goal to shoot for.

BEDLINGTON BOATHOUSE (house renovation)

Hi guys! As you may have noticed, I’ve been working on a little house renovation ever since Cats&Dogs came out. I was so happy with all the build objects that I didn’t even get into the gameplay part yet! Anyway, I placed a sim in the little starter house in the north-east of Brindleton Bay and decided that it needed a makeover! You’ll see that I changed its shape a because it was huge for the little house I wanted it to be. It took me all weekend but there it is, all ready to welcome your sims!

Storyline : After finishing her studies, miss *insert your sim’s name here* and her two dogs *insert your dogs’ names here* came back to her home town, Brindleton Bay, where her grandma’s old house was waiting for them to move in. It took a lot of hard work to renovate it without losing its quaint charm but it was totally worth it in the end. With the money she had left, she managed to buy a vet clinic in town. It was a childhood dream to work with pets, to take care of them and it was finally coming true. Everything was going perfectly fine until the day he/she entered the clinic with his/her dog. From there on, a new feeling made its way into *your sim’s name*’s heart. Love was in the air and it wasn’t the kind of love she felt towards her pets. It was something else entirely.

I’m almost finished giving everyone in Belladonna Cove a medieval makeover!

The holdout is Jessica Peterson, because so far it has proven difficult to get her moved into the church properly, but I thiiiiink I got everyone else. Still slow going on building lots, but I’m alternating between lots and makeovers for maximum fun, so I’ll move on to dressing up everyone in Desiderata Valley while I’m still building homes in BDC.

First, Carlos Contender, who has moved in with his niece’s family. I’ll use his money to help make sure they can buy their hedge tavern, then send all the excess to the church.

Jason Cleveland. I think I’m going to have the Cleveland family own the local food market.

Marissa Cleveland. I could only do so much about her heavily-sculpted face, but I really like this vest matching her base game outfit.

And Justin Cleveland, looking rather dashing.

...I can never remember which Cordial sister is which, but I thiiiiiink this one is Kimberly. First in the sim list, and the one clearly set up to be an evil witch with her clothing.

The other Cordial sister, let’s call her Samantha. I’m planning to have the Cordial sisters officially run some kind of herbal tea shop, with a back room that sells magical ingredients and potions. Although I haven’t decided yet what happens if/when they both get married; maybe I’ll make sure one of them marries a nice college man and keep the family name.

Geoff Rutherford, a Gentry who is going to have to hustle to find a good wife among those available, not that he’s in any hurry to be tied down...

And Connor Weir, who definitely feels greater concern and responsibility regarding the whole “find a wife and start a family” matter. I’m planning to have Connor move out and have his own home, but I think I’ll sell off all the furnishings first just to maximize the funds to split.

I also built a Town Well lot, which might not have followed the guidelines exactly but I’m pretty happy with it. It features a functional well, fishing pond, toad and duck spawners, reeds, a beehive-spawning log, one Giving Tree, harvestable herbs, berries, and mushrooms, a bench for sims to relax, a chess table, a knife-throwing board, and a designated bathroom shrub in the far corner. It has not been tested, and I forgot to cover up the road and sidewalk, but I feel I did a fairly good job of sprinkling in some assorted harvestables and entertainment without going overboard.

I hope to place some sort of Meadows lot with lots of harvestables and spawners, and the village green next to it to get it looking a little less sparse around the edges; although Belladonna Cove is, according to my plan, heavier on flowers and herbs than trees anyway. 

I also think I’ve figured out what to do with Alexandra Teatherton--since she’s a peasant anyway, she didn’t have to be shipped off to the church immediately, and she’s welcome to fend for herself or get remarried as she pleases. However, if she really wants to be a pirate, she will have to 1. earn her freedom fees for the right to move to a port town, in this case Bluewater Village, 2. wait for her chosen port town to earn and place a dock community lot (which, in BWV, will NOT be among the last, maybe a level 2 or 3 lot), 3. either earn the value of a (downloaded) ship lot herself (...which might also require her to become a merchant), reach an agreement with a noble wherein they purchase a ship and she works on it and the noble keeps the profits, OR something something criminals I haven’t figured this out yet but I really need a less-than-legal route to a ship to really make proper pirates. Eh, I’ll think about it. Right now, I’m just excited that I’m almost ready to makeover Desiderata Valley--and after that, Pleasantview. 

(...I have a carefully planned play order designed to prevent long stretches of less-interesting hoods between the original three. It goes Belladonna Cove, Downtown (if any), Desiderata Valley, Pleasantview, Sim State University (if placed), Bluewater Village, Strangetown, La Fiesta Tech (if placed), Riverblossom Hills, Veronaville, Academie le Tour (if placed). I think the slightly shuffled around bin families, the theme in general, and the specialties I have planned for each subhood will go a long way toward making each subhood interesting in its own right, though. Especially rebuilding the lots in DV, those lots suck.)
