Where would you recommend looking to purchase Touhou cosplay outfits? I've been looking through EZcosplay, But I'm really skeptical of the how the quality may be. Are there other sites that you think would be better? I know you make a lot of your outfits by hand, but I really just don't have the skills to do anything wonderful like that. Thanks! Love your work!!!
Hello! First off thank you so much! I do make some of my stuff but typically if I am buying cosplays I do so secondhand. Mostly because it saves me a bit of money! So sadly I do not have a lot of experiences purchasing new! However I'll try to help the best I can with what I know :D! If you are interested in buying secondhand please send me a message and I'll send you my big info pile on it. I have a lot more experience with it in comparison so I have a ton of links and information on it! Ok so for new! I think the best place currently in terms of price and quality is typically Taobao. A lot of stores like aliexpress and other online shops that sell touhou cosplays are often just reselling from Taobao. Buying off Taobao can be a little tricky but you will need a proxy. I know a few touhou cosplayer mutuals of mine have had a lot of success with bhiner cosplay It is basically a taobao proxy with a focus on cosplay and there is a whole touhou section here <--- I have only ordered here once and it was for a Yukari Parasol prop. It was a pretty good experience overall and the quality was nice. The only major issue recently is I've hear Bhiner has stopped accepting paypal for payment. I'd have to try to put an order in to confirm that but it might be something worth looking into another proxy for! At the very least its a great way to browse what is currently being sold and bhiner always links the actual taobao stores themselves, so you could easily go through another proxy! Another touhou cosplayer also made a handy guide on buying some of the more fancy premades as well I'll also link that here <------ A very helpful guide!! I bought a costume off a cosplayer that bought it from a shop called fm-anime . Can't speak for the ordering process but the quality pretty good! It was a Touhouvania Alice cosplay. It looks like they have limited stock these days with touhou but it might be worth a look! RoleCosplay seems to have a decent selection and even some less popular touhou characters. I've never ordered off here myself though so I'd maybe look into reviews a bit more! Maybe I should put in a test order and do a review one day LOL EzCosplay (as you stated) I have heard mixed things about! It used to be regarded as a pretty okay place to get Touhou cosplays from but more recently I've seen some people complain about sizing issues and quality in regards to their photos vs product etc! So I'd maybe avoid that one! Lastly there was this google doc made a little while ago with some shops listed. I do not know if this is up to date but I thought I'd share https://docs.google.com/document/d/12w82AVDHKmJ1dKRRZ3CAYiy1S5TbqOR_o91NCJVqgUQ/edit Also there is a touhou cosplay discord I could get you the invite to (just send me a message first) Its full of really nice and supportive people and theres a cosplay shopping talk channel and lots of people with experience there that can help out! There's also a secondhand cosplay sale channel as well if you wanted to buy directly off another cosplayer! Anyways I hope that helped. Again please feel free to message me anytime if you need specific help. I'm always happy to help people cosplay touhou in any way possible :D If you have a specific character you want to do I can try and get as many links for you put together that I can as well!!

Hi there! I um…
okay this is like, unbelievably awkward for me but I’m in a catholic school for Highschool which means catholic sex ed and I’m not totally down for that so here are my questions because I have no clue about anything and I’m fifteen and idk why I’m telling you all of this I’m word vomiting and I’m so so sorry.
okay so um. I think I might be ace because I have no interest in having sex and to test that theory I read some novels featuring sex scenes and I did. Y’know, feel something, but like, Idk how to do the pleasuring yourself thing. And um. I was wondering if you had any tips on that that can be done without the use of purchased products or putting anything up there and oh my god this is so awkward I’m so sorry I love your blog and it’s been incredibly educational for me so thank you and im rambling again.
anyways also my period is like, a month and a half late and I’ve never had sex so I can’t be pregnant so any tips about that bc idk if it’s the lack of proper food water and sleep or if I’ve fucked something up internally when I tried to test my ace theory.
super sorry for the incredibly awkward ask I just don’t have anyone to ask irl and… y’know imma just send this. I am so sorry. Thank you for your time and I’m so sorry again.
hey anon,
thanks for sending this ask; I'm glad you did. my best friend's first college boyfriend also got a catholic sex education and he once sincerely asked her if she wanted to use shampoo as lubricant for shower sex, so I feel like I have a pretty good frame of reference for how little information you're working with here.
to your most pressing question: the great news is that it's extremely easy to masturbate without a toy or penetration; you can just start touching stuff in absolutely whatever way feels good to you! if you'd like some tips, I'd recommend starting with this video from sexologist Lindsey Doe and checking out more on her Sexplanations channel if it feels helpful - she's made quite a few videos covering masturbation!
youtube
(despite the age restriction, this is actually a very tame video that consists entirely of a very kind, fully-clothed woman cheerfully offering some advice on jacking off.)
there are a lot of reasons your period might be late, but reading a sexy book and masturbating isn't one of them. the only POSSIBLE way you could alter your period by masturbating would be if you caused some kind of internal damage, in which case you would probably know and hopefully be receiving urgent care. having irregular periods is pretty normal when you're young, although they can also be caused by stress, hormonal fluctuations, medications, excess exercise, and insufficient nourishment. many possible causes, but arousal is not one of them!
and circling back to the start of your ask, you absolutely can be ace and still enjoy reading sexy scenes and masturbating. tons of asexual people do! you can be ace and explore your own sexuality as much as you want. you don't need permission but I am giving it to you.

5 Agere Activities for a Rainy Day (Indoors Edition)
Ciao lovelies! We’re moving into spring here where I am, and with the spring, comes LOTS of rain. There are many outside ideas to do for agere, (and yes, even some rainy day ones!) but today, I’d like to share 5 of my favorite agere activities to do on a rainy day, or on days where I can’t go outside (snow, too hot, etc.)..
All of the ideas I’m sharing today are my personal faves!
Idea #1: Change your doll’s (or stuffies!) outfits….or make them some outfits!
Tumblr media
Super old pic, I know (I have wayyy different hair now, lol), but this idea is still one of my faves. Picking new outfits for my dolls is always super fun and sometimes I even have a mini photoshoot with them after changing their looks. I can also turn this idea into a full afternoon of play by setting up a “doll salon” to select their looks and they each get a spray of choice perfumes and hair brushes :)
If you don’t have clothes for your dolls/stuffies, you can also make them clothing or accessories! I’m aiming to put some tutorials of that sort on the blog and possibly on the Youtube channel soon, but for now, here’s some tutorials that I have already made to get you started:
youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
There are many fun and simple methods for making doll clothing or accessories, I once again have to highly recommend MyFroggyStuff’s Youtube channel for this! She has awesome ideas and she makes it all seem so easy.
Idea #2: Take a fun Bubble Bath!
Tumblr media
Taking a fun and relaxing bath is a nice way to both regress, and practice self-care! You can find cute bath toys like these at dollar stores, and bath bombs, bubble bath, bath fizzies, etc as well! I even love buying the “bath puppets” which are just washcloths that go on your hands like a puppet, and are shaped like animals! I have a sharkie and a froggie. When I take baths or showers, I like to imagine going through a checklist with my scrubby buddy (most often Mr Sharkie) to make sure I get 1000000% clean! Sometimes I even make a little song of this and hum it to myself. :)
It’s also nice having access to fun body washes and soap! My current favorite body wash is scented from “Viva las Vegas SWEET” which is some kind of perfume thing, but it smells like candy, and it looks cute out of the tube! (it’s pink and shimmery 0.0)
I’ve also seen body washes for babyshark, Barbie, and other kids franchises! Oh, and even some grown-ups products are still cute for this too! I have a Hello Kitty sugar scrub that was intended for grown-ups, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t cute anyway! :) Oh, and Crayola makes body wash “crayons” as well, the tubes are crayon shaped and the body washes are colorful!
Okie, okie, that’s a lot of me rambling about baths, sorry >.<
Idea #3: Play Video Games!
Tumblr media
Sometimes there’s nothing better than wearing comfy clothes, having a nice snack, and playing video games! On rainy days this activity feels super cozy and wonderful, and there are lots of games out there that are cute and good for agere!
My current faves are Animal Crossing New Horizons on my Switch, Sandbox Coloring App on my phone, Nintendogs on my 3Ds, and Minecraft on my PC! I love that games are on a lot of different devices, so that I can always find something to do~
I think Animal Crossing is a really cool game for age regressors, and the New Horizons one is very cute for a lot of reasons! I can dress my avatar up in cute fashions and i can even buy…..pacis! and…..Cute kawaii dresses!!! :0 You could make your dream agere outfits in this game, and i do it all the time, tbh!
Idea #4: Journaling or Writing in a Diary!
Tumblr media
I love love love my regression journal! I use stickers, washi tape, coloring pages, crayons, markers, and more on it, and it’s really freeing to have a journal that doesn’t need to be neat or tidy. My daily journal is also my regression journal, as I am someone who is semi-regressed all the time! :3 I also do vent journal entries in this journal (to share with my therapist), and lists, collages, doodles, info pages…lots of things!
I have an article on here actually about Agere Journaling!
I also want to briefly ramble about my stickers, I have found 2 really good sources of stickers for my journal. The first is a subscription service called Stickii, which sends you a themed sticker pack every month, these packs include stickers from lots of independent artists and I really love each one I’ve gotten so far (I’ve gotten 2 so far.) **DISCLAIMER: I am not sponsored or affiliated with this brand, I just wanted to give a personal recommendation!
The second is Blippo Kawaii Shop, which sells sticker mystery bags which I have an opening video of on OFT’s IG! :) I love their selection of kawaii stickers, and it’s always fun getting a package from them. Also… once again: **DISCLAIMER: I am not sponsored or affiliated with this brand, I just wanted to give a personal recommendation!
Idea #5: Play with Legos or building blocks!
Tumblr media
Something that I love doing when I am small is playing with building blocks or legos! I like the Minecraft sets or the dollar store legos! :) I use the legos to build things for my mini town and dollhouse, as well as make dollrooms! :)
Megablocks have larger blocks as well if you regress younger and want something more simple. Also… once again: **DISCLAIMER: I am not sponsored or affiliated with this brand, I just wanted to give a personal recommendation!
You can use building blocks to make obstacle courses for your minis, specific types of buildings for playing pretend, mecha robots for epic battles…….>.<’ sorry my brain totally went to gundam XD
They also sell building block sets for making iconic characters like pikachu and other pokemon, as well as other anime and game characters! I think this type of block is called a nano block.
CONCLUSION:
What do you think of these 5 agere activities for a rainy day? What activities are your favorite when small? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing from you lovelies and having great discussions!
And now for the most important thing in this outro…..I get to say……
STAY AWESOME!! You are awesome, just as you are, and you should look at yourself with love and kindness. Don’t forget to love yourself, whether you practice self-care, treat yourself, or take care of your future self by getting a task done ahead of time, self love is important!
Okie, all my ramblings aside, see you in my next post, video, or whatever comes next!

Hi! :D
I was wondering if you’re open to other series suggestions. If so, I wanted to suggest Murder drones to you. It’s a really cool show abt robots and other cool stuff! :>
And if you’re interested in it, you can find it on YouTube on a channel named “GLITCH Productions” (a warning for the future: DO NOT search “murder drones” on the search, instead just search their channel. I have seen the horrors of…a certain comic VA s3xual!zing the characters as clickbait and I don’t want you to come across it)
Oh! May I also suggest a cool tk fic writer named @leefl00f? She’s a really good writer when it comes down to writing the goobers :3
Again these are all suggestions, if you’re not interested, I completely understand.
Anyways that was all I wanted to share! Bye bye! :3
Thank you so much for the recommendation, as well as the search information. You wanting to protect me from that is so kind and thoughtful. I’ll have to give it a look sometime, I have a few mutuals who really like it!!
I am acquainted floof and their amazing blog (that everyone should go check out)💕😭
Also, to answer both of your asks at once, thank you very much for the tag info as well 😭💕 you are so kind! I’d love to hear from you again sometime! Thank you!!!

My Top Anime of 2023
Tumblr media
Hey everyone! I know this is SUPER late, I usually do this the first week of January but things have been a bit crazy. I promise I haven't abandoned this blog, however I have been working on my youtube channel like I've mentioned, it's going to be called threecheersforinking just like this blog. I'll def post about it again once I get a video up!
SO anyway after all that let's get into it! As usual, these are anime I watched in 2023, not necessarily ones that came out in 2023.
Death Parade
Tumblr media
Yes I know, it's taken me so long to watch Death Parade. But I finally got around to it! This show is so creative and unique, every episode was its own little story. My one complaint was I wish it was longer. Not just because I loved the characters and the world and wanted to see more of it, but also because I felt like there was a lot more that could/should have been expanded upon, especially in the last couple episodes. Besides that though, I really enjoyed this series.
Kaguya-Sama Love is War: The First Kiss that Never Ends
Tumblr media
Kind of cheating since this isn't a new series, but I enjoyed it so much I couldn't not include it. Kaguya really only gets better and better, and since I finished the manga a few months ago too I was in such a Kaguya mood in 2023. The character development in this arc is so great, and it's so rewarding to finally see Kaguya and Shirogane's relationship progress. I highly recommend the whole series to anyone who likes comedy anime, it's really top tier.
Pluto
Tumblr media
And lastly, my favorite anime I watched this year was definitely Pluto. I was so excited for this as a huge fan of Naoki Urasawa, and watched it in literally 2 days. As soon as I finished the episode that focused on North No. 2, I was hooked. What a great introduction to the world and to the series as a whole. There were some aspects of the animation and pacing that I wasn't a huge fan of, but the character designs were great and the story in general was so good. I am not sure how much the adaptation differs from the manga, but it really made me want to read the manga super badly. I really loved all of the characters, but especially Atom and Epsilon.
Anyway, thank you for reading! I'll be back soon with some one-off recommendations and reviews as well. Thanks again for all your love to this blog as always.

I have developed a new youtube strategy and if I don't write it down I'll forget but it's working nicely to find wholesome and delightful woodworking stuff I would never have otherwise found/looked at.
ah this is going to go long so executive summary: this is not really about my new youtube strategy but it is about youtube stuff I like and why. And a bit about my youtube strategy I guess. and how I have autism lmao.
For instance this guy:
youtube
makes very quietly-spoken, mostly shop footage and talking to camera (and a bit of inserted reference footage or pov shots, too) videos, making nice furniture out of nice hardwoods and self-made recycled skateboard plywood.
This all delivered with an affect my wife wife described as "radiating warmth and light" and a genuinely engaging and crucially understated enthusiasm. perfect blend of cali skater zen and also manual crafts zen.
Obligatory #youtube grammar notes: nothing egregious so far! One word really caught my attention (not enough for me to, like, remember what it was for sure - I think it was furthermore?), as being far enough away from exactly right as to be jarring also (Andrew if you ever read this I am trying very hard to write this in a way that doesn't seem, like, aggressively negative but if it does, [and this is unsolicited criticism so why wouldn't it] as a countermeasure: you're doing great! one and a half weird words in idk half an hour of footage is frankly incredible. and your videos are lovely. thanks!). The 'half' was one instance out of several uses of 'itself' also hit wrong but I can't explain why even to myself so who cares.
Anyway, it's exactly my shit except a lot of his thumbnails look like high energy sfx-heavy youtube maker stuff yelled at me by a bro (Sorry again Andrew once again you are doing great!) which I would never click on except for my grand strategy of:
subscribe early, subscribe often
just like follow links in videos when you watch a nice video and the presenter says 'inspired by a video from ...' - if they make the kind of videos you want, there's a better than average chance people that inspire them do too.
Yes, the second thing should have been blindingly obvious, but I have a medical condition and don't have to notice things.
Mostly it's that the links are now in the readmore of the description field, and I usually don't read those because they register in my brain as post signatures, so I maybe read the whole readmore once per channel.
(for the sake of internet epoch claiming the relevant signatures are on usenet)
That is, I expect the description to have the same content all the time after the obligatory first line modification (i.e. the actual video description text). There's usually a huge identical section of socmed links, affiliate links to products used in the video, affiliate links to endorsed products/channel sponsors generally.
So I didn't know that sometimes there are video/channel links in there, ok? Also there's a popup info panel but I think I adblocked it lmao.
Anyway. Subscribe early, subscribe often, though: Because windows just shuts itself the fuck down whenever it wants, and chrome no longer restores smashed windows by default (presumably for ultimately surveillance-enhancing reasons), and I have watch history turned off on youtube (yeah I know but also listen being paranoid about the internet is my actual job I am allowed to be a weirdo if I want), once I open a linked video in a new tab or whatever, if the video looks cool I subscribe immediately, because I won't watch it now and I'll lose the tab tomorrow.
Anyway this is probably exactly the usage model youtube would like me to have, but because I have watch history turned off I don't get youtube's """highly curated""" recommended bullshit, I only see <search results for niche interest query> and stuff recommended from videos I'm already subscribed to. So like sort of their model but much more actually useful to me.
cool strategy bro
but yeah the real question is hey do you know any more channels like this for carpentry/metalwork/basically any craft stuff? hit me with yr haberdashery yr leatherwork your embroidery - but not cooking for some reason. because they are extremely important for my little mental health right now cheers

Language Updates! May 25, 2022
My health is still being mean but hopefully it'll turn. As expected, I'm not studying much.
But I did get the urge to study again. So I did. And it went in an odd direction (for me) so I feel like documenting it.
First the Japanese stuff - I got into playing Final Fantasy 7 again, and video games always remind me how much I want to learn Japanese, so the urge to study kicked in gear lol. As of now I'm not doing anything big, I'm too tired lately for big goals. I am playing Yakuza 0 now and having fun picking up the words I do know. And learning some words, mainly though just refreshing my memory on things I already knew like 少し,あるんだ, zenbun matte etc. Some sentences I fully understand! Most I know a couple words, some I only hear omae lol. As one would expect.
I'm also listening to Glossika Japanese again (as review so the old files I've heard already). So not much listening, at the beginning again lol, but everything is coming back fast. So that's good.
I also bought Koisenu Futari today and started reading it on Kindle. It's like 249 pages and my reading speed says I'll finish in 8 hours, which honestly is amazing to me since usually I read too slow to Ever finish a novel ToT in a foreign language (unless it's french). I read 7 pages and it's clear to me on some level I remember the grammar i learned i jusr don't explicitly remember it if it makes sense. Like I know what's a noun or verb or how the verbs conjugation affects meaning but I'm not able to say exactly whats going on. Basically it's readable, thankfully, cause my brain still remembers how to interpret the grammar. I still credit forcing myself to do 600 Clozemaster Japanese sentences last summer for all the grammar comprehension improvements tbh, it really truly helped me get used to real world sentences and the variety in them (versus textbook sentences). Anyway so far its nice! It's to my happiness an easier read (difficulty wise) with a lot of Kanji I know so I also can kind of cheat and guess the meaning on a lot (I'm mainly looking up Kanji pronunciations/confirmations of definition and hiragana words). But I will say :c kindles Japanese to English dictionary sucks So I'm glad i recognize the Kanji a bit.
Basically, I'm back into Japanese a bit. I also found some audio dramas with eng subs I'd like to listen to that I was going to months ago, maybe yest Listening Reading Method with. But tbh my attention span is short and I don't think I can focus for 1.5 hours to get through them (though Nier Replicant Audio drama AND mdzs Japanese audio drama are on youtube which are both very cool and i do eventually wanna get to ToT)
Now for the out of character portion. So ive been watching kdramas. Live Up to Your Name, Mr Sunshine, Tomorrow, My Country the New Age, etc. As you do. And it turns out... when I listen to something long enough I really want to learn something. So I looked into learning Korean a bit.
I want to preface with!!! If YOU are brand new to learning Korean, like comprehensible input/nature method learning methods, I highly recommend going to Learn Korean in Korean YouTube channel and just Devouring all the videos made by that guy. THAT is a well made course where you can genuinely learn through comprehensible input for the basics and some surface conversational stuff (possibly more). I watched 1 of his videos once knowing zero Hangul and not caring if i learned and learned how to introduce myself. His videos are GOOD.
That said... mejo is a messy person who doesn't follow their own advice, and despite me KNOWING I love that specific learning material... I'm not using it. Why? Because watching YouTube videos requires consistent focus and i just cannot reliably focus on something for several minutes right now. I can't do long periods of focused study at the moment. Even though I know if I binged his channel I'd learn a lot.
So what is mejos plan to learn korean?
Well studying Hangul is step 1, which I've done before and have done the past few days again. Now I'm practicing just kind of seeing it in practice (like in textbooks etc) to get used to properly reading it and remembering. As my motivations for wanting to learn korean are Extremely Shallow right now - I'd just like to know some lines in kdramas when I watch, maybe absolute MOST I'd like to have a convo in korean like hi how are you do you draw (and in a world I'll never live in... enough to read Korean guardian translation but let's be real its not gonna happen.. probably). I have no intense need to learn to read Hangul. I'm gonna pick it up anyway, since it's everywhere and reading it is ultimately critical. But books with romanization are my friends right now so I can compare romanization to the Hangul to test my reading of the Hangul, and to learn words with an approximate pronunciation instead of absolutely no idea if i picked a moderately close pronunciation up (if theres only Hangul and I read a,syllable wrong I'm gonna learn words wrong lol).
So I found Teach Yourself Korean (or some equivalent type book) on archive.org for free. And am reading it. It covers Hangul, and then simple surface level conversations like your typical beginner textbook (hi, how are you, my name is, i work at, I study, I want to eat x etc). It works fine for some Hangul reading practice and getting a chance to look at sentence structure. Realistically I know korean is SOV and a really Great help would be a textbook that does literal word by word translations cause my brain likes seeing that but I'm not putting tons of time into this. (Also sadly? I KNOW there's a cool korean textbook out there whixh starts with english but in korean sentence structure then adds more korean words, like comprehensible input for korean but also intuitive grammar instruction. And i DONT know the name so I canr find it ;-; if you know the name of the textbook I'm mentioning please message me).
For words, i was going to just be brutal to myself and hop right into Clozemaster Korean. That was utterly impossible lol! With very poor Hangul reading skills you are screwed in clozemaster, there's no romanization to help you sound anything out. Also you don't hear audio until after you answer, also the diffetent grammar structure is not explained even minimally in Clozemaster. So I have realized. Yes, yes you really do need to be upper beginner or above to use Clozemaster reasonably comfortably. Unless you're learning a language with similar grammar and a similar alphabet like French or Spanish then maybe you could jump right in as a complete novice if you were up for the challenge (I can read some Spanish, I could probably push through clozemaster Spanish to study and learn more vocab even though it would be brutal). I realized clozemaster is just NOT helpful as a complete beginner in korean with zero grammar knowledge. Now normally, I'd dive right in and spend 1 week to 1 month reading a grammar guide summary of the language so I have a vague idea of what I'm looking at verb noun adjective subject object particle wise etc at all times. But as I mentioned, im exhausted lately, i cant do intensive focused reading for hours which a grammar guide would require of me. Also... to be honest, I find it an interesting experiment to go into a language totally unprepared. I was prepared for all the other languages I studied to some (minimal) degree since i studied literally all of them as a teen at least a little (japanese, Spanish, French, German, mandarin). While it's not much, it does mean if there were ever 6 months of struggling with sound or writing system or what the heck does a verb look like in z language, i got a little practice prior to diving in more as an adult.
So. What to do. Well I know for me, comparing sentence structure truly helps me grasp grammar the best. It's why clozemasrer Japanese helped me SO much with grammar, it's why one of my fave japanese textbooks is Japanese Sentence Patterns, it's why Spoonfed Chinese anki deck ans audio files help me so much. Seeing and hearing a sentence in both languages helps me figure out where words go in each, how they conjugate, what phrases are different completely etc. Unfortunately anki and memrise sentence decks in korean would make me exhausted, as i can't do the hours long intensive focus I need for flashcards personally at the moment. Clozemaster has a radio mode (to help make it easier on me) but clozemaster sentences start TOO hard compared to educational made sentences which tend to start artificially simple but help clarify the sentence structures before adding complexity gradually. Well i was like... glossika Korean might work. Turns out I'd downloaded the old glossika korean audio files a year ago so I put them in a place I could listen to. And that's going to be my primary setup for study probably. I doubt I'm going to pick up much, certainly not at the slow rate I've got to study right now. But if I DO learn anything then I'm putting in a good word for comparative 2 language audio flashcard type study materials. They worked EXCELLENTLY for me for chinese listening comprehension, increasing vocabulary, grammar patterns, but i used them as an upper beginner who could read some stuff already. Korean would be my first time trying to use glossika with a language I can't already read some things in (aka comprehend basic stuff to a decent level when reading already). We will see if i pick up much. But I can already tell it's easier for me to figure out new words than clozemaster korean, so glossika is easier for a beginner to use for sure. (Personally I do Not recommend modern glossikas subscription model I hate the flashcards but tbh i canr do flashcards often, I prefer the old glossika audio lessons they used to make so that's what I use whenever i say glossika).
So yeah, my plan for korean right now is: glossika korean audio files (dual language audio of sentences starting simple then progressing), and Teach Yourself Korean book read through. Maybe some other stuff, but this is easiest.
A side note: I am sad to report the FSI korean course audio files on archive.org are Only korean. I say thus because FsiS chinese course audios read the English aloud, then rhe chinese, then the drill directions then the drill answers. So you can basically do the entire course entirely through audio (which is great if visuals are an issue for you, or so it can be done without needing to look if say you're walking or working, and the book is mainly pinyin so it's not a huge loss to just use the audio files). So I was expecting the korean FSI course audio to also have all that - which would have made it serve the "simple sentences with dual audio to compare and pick up words and grammar" function. But there's no English in the audio, so i found the korean glossika audios instead. (In a pinch FSI courses are yes dry, but very good introductions to several languages. I like their tone drills a lot for chinese.)
Another side note: sad to report that unlike Japanese and Chinese I am not aware of the really cool niche textbooks yet. Like in Japanese, I have textbooks specifically suited to me - ones that focus on sentence patterns, 2 that teach through reading and progressive difficulty, Kanji mnemonic books. Same for chinese - I have an old grammar book that writes a way I understand, 3 comprehensible input massive graded readers that increase in difficulty, some more graded readers by difficulty, a 500 most common hanzi book with a bunch of words that use them underneath, parallel texts, a wonderful hanzi mnemonics book, a wonderful chinese intro book that covers 1000 words (which isn't ideal but i appreciate the author and irs better than one textbook I found which only teaches 200 words total yikes). I learn well with comprehensible input books like graded readers/stuff that makes you learn by trying to understand, and with comparisons of sentence structure with a LOT of common words so I pick them up. Like I mentioned above... I know a korean textbook exists that writes the English in korean word order then gradually adds in more korean words too, I am very interested in finding it if anyone knows the name or has heard of it before.

At this point I'm kind of losing track of what I already said vs. what's in my head, so if I didn't say it, I picture Mr. Plo's shop as Roman Customizing from the 1990's Disney Channel TV show Brotherly Love (which is still very watchable, btw, highly recommend, if I could ever talk myself into writing platonic Obikin I would happily write Obi-Wan as Joe/Satine as Lou, Anakin as awkward middle brother Matt, and Ahsoka as sunny youngest child Andy, with very-much-still-alive Shmi as Anakin and Ahsoka's mom/Obi-Wan's stepmom).
I had a summer job at 14, and do not in fact recommend it. (The job itself was fine, but I look back now and was like, what the fuck was I doing, let 14-year-olds have fun, jesus.)
Obi-Wan's first response, after Ahsoka telling him she got a job, being 'congratulations!' and only *after* that asking which job it was, just tickles me.
Obi-Wan strikes me as a person who would be uncomfortable bringing a private family photo to work and uploading it to his work computer to make it his desktop background, so he printed it out and framed it and set it beside his desk instead, and his actual desktop background is, like, the plain blue screen that comes with Windows when you first plug it in.
Half an hour before my first high school orchestra concert was due to start, my high school boyfriend comes to me with absolute panic in his eyes and tells me he doesn't know how to tie a tie. I didn't either, so I think we fastened it with, like, safety pins and called it good. Afterward I went home though and asked my dad to teach me to tie a tie. (We can discuss, later, about gender roles and expectations, and why didn't my boyfriend go to HIS dad and ask the same thing, because it was his tie in the first place. But I was sixteen, what did I know. Anyway.) So, next concert, I'm like, give me your tie, I'll tie it on me and then hand it back to you. (This is the mental image I was going for with Obi-Wan and Anakin at Anakin and Padme's wedding.) I ended up with a *queue* of teenaged boys all asking me to tie their ties. And I continued to do this! For the next two years! Every performance! High school, man.
Originally I was going to do more with the Anakin/continuing education plotline, but it ended up morphing into Obi-Wan going to a conference (again; I know that already happened once) and that subplot kind of fell by the wayside.
Valley Technical Center is a real place and, last I checked, you could study airplane mechanics there.
Anakin being mad about his bus pass running out of funds and not getting refilled is a callback to chapter one. All the way back to chapter one! I posted that back in July! We were all such different people then!
Now I'm sad we never got a canon scene with Obi-Wan taking Anakin and Ahsoka to Dex's. That would have been fun.
When I used to have cable I swear there was a Golden Girls marathon on every Sunday. Not that I'm complaining, Golden Girls is great, but it was a lot of Golden Girls.
I might as well have put blinking neon lights at the top of this chapter, this is about me being sad about not being able to go to Sunday afternoon Dodger games during the pandemic. (I realize there were more important things to be sad about. But that was on the list, for me.)
Do kids still play with Tinker Toys, or am I dating myself, here? (Or maybe Luke and Leia's daycare still has toys from the 80's.)
This story, in a lot of ways, is meant to be about Anakin realizing that he has had the power to make his life better all along. That's part of the way I read his fall in canon - he's so desperate for love, respect, affection (from Padme, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, the Jedi) that he already has. He just can't see it. In this story, or this part of the story, he's starting to look at his life, realize he's unhappy...and then instead of wallowing in that and making it worse, he starts to take concrete action to make it better. And the journey to that, and learning the tools that lets him do that, is why this story is so fucking long. Ha.
I love the 'parenting by committee' Anakin does for Ahsoka's birthday in this chapter. This isn't meant to be an indictment on his parenting in the slightest - I think it is non-sarcastically great that he puts Obi-Wan in charge of cake and Padme in charge of dinner and himself in charge of taking her to the DMV and Mr. Plo in charge of finding her a loaner car. They all, individually, have enough on their plates. Breaking it up into manageable chunks is the way to go.
That first solo drive after you get your license - Ahsoka uses hers to go see Korkie - it's a great moment. I still remember mine. I drove to the supermarket and bought ice cream. I am a very predictable person.

i feel like an important context to me as a person is that like.
so i used to watch a lot of steven universe comic compilations back when i was like... 11, i would say
and like obviously there were comic DUB compilations but what i mean is comic compilations, which were just the comics passing through the screen with music in the background
and i remember the main channel that i watched would change the music up like, once every like 10 to 15 episodes right, of the comic compilations series
and one of the songs they picked, for, again, 10 to 15 episodes of a steven universe comic compilation series, was a mountain goats song
and keep in mind i was like 11, at most 12 right? like i had never heard of the mountain goats before this, i BARELY spoke english, and i wouldn't Truly Care about the mountain goats until i was 16, so at least 4 years later
and um, the way i PROPERLY got into the mountain goats was like, a friend of mine recommended me this year and i spent an afternoon listening to it and cleaning my bedside desk on january 2nd, 2021
but like, me and that friend would sometimes get on voice chat and listen to tmg albums like he'd show them to me and my now partner
and anyways imagine the whiplash when i realized that someone out there set 10 to 15 episodes of a steven universe comic compilation series to no children by the mountain goats
anyways if you've ever wondered why i can't take no children seriously, that is why

Books To Avoid With ADHD (Pt. 2)
For the 100 people that follow me, apologies for being MIA. I have been in a reading rut recently: nothing has been able to really keep my attention, besides I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jeannette McCurdy. I did an in-depth review about that on my YouTube channel, if anyone is interested.
Anyway, this blog is for books that work, and DON'T work for people with ADHD. So here are some books that just haven't worked for me in the past couple of months.
The Girl on the Train - Paula Hawkins
Before I really get into it, let me say - this woman can write one hell of an action scene. She described domestic abuse as "being underwater," which was extremely effective and powerful--had she only used it once, and not found one metaphor that worked and continued to overuse it to the point where it lost all of its value.
The ending was somewhat predictable. And honestly, her portrayal of the main character, Rachel, was horrendous. She wants Rachel to be hated because she's going through a rough time in her life, and she's an alcoholic, and she's depressed (although her portrayal of depression is also pathetic). But honestly, I felt bad for Rachel.
Also, there were SO MANY comments about how Rachel got fat. Extremely fat phobic book, as if fat = depression.
Took a while to get through. Would never read again.
The Silent Patient - Alex Michaelides
I feel weird putting this book on this list because it honestly kept my attention the entire time, but the ending was HORRIBLE. Like the idea was there...I think? Honestly, to this day I am still very undecided about it. It just had so much lead-up, and it was decently written, but the ending just didn't do it for me.
I really enjoyed the idea. Execution just wasn't there, for me.
Alias Grace - Margaret Atwood
This book just couldn't keep a consistent pace. I couldn't put it down during some chapters, and during others I couldn't read two more words without my eyes glazing over. Keep in mind that I think Margaret Atwood is one of the best writers in present time, but this book was just not it.
But I must mention the hypnosis scene. That scene was fantastically written, and I'd read just that scene before reading any other part of the book. Then you will have experienced the best part of the book without any of the boring tidbits.
The Golden Couple - Greer Hendricks
Honestly this is not a memorable story to me. I read it over the summer, and it just wasn't it. The villain, (spoiler) her husband, was not a realistic villain at all. He was meant to be some sort of twisted masochist, or something, and it just fell flat. No one talks like that.
The portrayal of manipulation and gaslighting wasn't convincing, which ultimately led to this book being on this list.
When the Sparrow Falls - Neil Sharpson
This is a sci-fi novel, and I'll be 100% honest when I say I do not remember a single thing about this book. I remember it took a while to get through, and that there were some good parts--and there was this one long, weird 50 page story near 3/4 of the way through that was horrendous to get through.
Local Woman Missing - Mary Kubica
The ending was such a let down! It kept me entertained--for the most part--but I just wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't all that exciting and I would just spend your time on another book!
Again, these are all my own personal opinions. If you were planning on reading any of these books, feel free! You may have a different opinion than me, and that's okay! :)

Jim Humble’s MMS 1
The book MMS Health Recovery Guidebook, First Edition (2016) by Jim Humble with Cari Lloyd, came to my attention some time in 2019 possibly. I did not read it then. The book came to my attention again on 24 May 2022. This time I read it. I joined Telegram groups (testimonials and videos), I surfed the website https://jimhumble.co/ and watched a documentary (The Universal Antidonte by an unrevealed reporter). I also read what was too shared with me,  Forbidden Health by Andreas Ludwig Kalcker.
What caught my attention in May 2022 was that I was hearing it from someone who had tested it on themselves, their children, their wife, and their parents. And that specifically had taken it to address Arthritis in the fingers, and that it was successful (I cannot state whether in stopping it or reversing it, am always careful to not get carried away) - a condition a family member has too, and that I care to help where possible.
That person\s wife had taken it before a decision to go to the hospital when COVID symptoms increased at home, no hospital visit ensued or was the story that the visit to the hospital was made and that the drops were taken anyway and symptoms reduced. either way.
June 13, 2022 I was ill, and it was clear it could be of those tested positive for COVID 19. God willing while I had done some research on how to get Sodium Chlorite 22.4 (mind you with a “t” not a “d”) and HCL 4%, it was far from arriving, and a person who had them passed them on to me. And so, I was ready to test it out, in light of what it might do to COVID symptoms but too as a way to test out what I was otherwise intending to pass on to a family member for Arthritis, a buffer, myself.
----
Did MMS 1 cure me from COVID 19?
In Allah’s will I am getting well, today 19 June, and negative in my rapid test. I cannot tell if MMS 1 intake was a cause to the relief but there is one matter I could feel directly: the “cup“ protocol that is intended to help get mucus out, before the illness hits the chest with congestion, that, I felt clearly, that mucus was exiting even before I could identify that it was there, be it in my breathing channels or chest.
----
The protocols I applied
1. Starting Protocol from book: MMS Health Recovery Guidebook
2. The Lung Protocol (The Cup) from book: MMS Health Recovery Guidebook
3. The COVID protocol from a chart the friend shared with me that showed four stages of application depending on the severity of COVID, I applied both second level: COVID positive with no symptoms or low symptoms (one drop per cup, one cup per hour over 8 hours,, + ten drops MMS1 in half cup water: gargle three times, apply twice or three times a day also add on brush teeth with the remaing, with fresh ), and the third level: COVID positive with symptoms to acute symptoms (same as previous except that the 8 dozes are taken one per 15 mn instead of one per hour, ie process completed in 1 hr 45 mn).
4. Add on that was shared with me and is not on record in the book, as tested by that person (MMS1 in water in cup, quantity handlable, getting the water through in each of the nostrils till it reaches the throat) - I do not recommend the use of this one without familiarly with MMS use and dosages and its effect on one’s own body.
5. Add to that, I was recommended to take pro-biotics, and I did once a day over three days.
Note I used Arwa bottled water. Not free of extras but low enough that it should pass. ie as close to distilled water as I could get my hands on.
----
What I did over a period of 6 days,
Monday 13 June, (day 1)
Starting Protocol as per the book, day 1/4. The start on Monday 13 was at 10pm because this is when I received the drops, 10pm to 5am waking every hour to take it
Tuesday 14, (day 2)
Rapid test Positive.
Starting Protocol as per the book, day 2/4. Started at 5pm, ended midnight.
The COVID protocol third level: took that Tuesday 14 June before starting on the starting protocol, it was intense but still felt manageable, even though all this was new to my body.
Also, the Lung protocol for mucus excretion if any.
Wednesday 15, (day 3)
Starting Protocol as per the book, day 3/4. Start 11am to 6pm. And the Lung protocol.
Thursday 16 June, (day 4)
Starting Protocol as per the book, day 4/4. No additional protocols.
Starting Protocol completed.
Friday 17 June, (day 5)
COVID protocol level 2: Positive, no symptoms or light symptoms, which consists of one drop MMS1 in half cup water per hour, every hour, over 8 hours.
Saturday 18 June, (day 6)
On this day I made a severe mistake: I was well enough though not fully recovered, I did the third level COVID: a drop MMS1 with half cup every 15mn for 1 hr 45 mn. I knew I was pushing but I was tired of the stretch over 8 hours, I felt sick after that, threw up, diarrhea, and so all that I consumed that morning was released and I could barely put anything else in my mouth till the next day, lied down most afternoon and evening not from illness, rather from excess intake.
Sunday 19 June, (day 7)
Rapid test Negative.
No MMS intake.
----
Symptoms
Fever up to 38.6 but mostly within the 37s choppily over two nights, daytime was mostly clear.
Every rise of fever the feeling was in my back, acutely, to the point that I could not find restfulness in a position lying down almost no matter the surface, floor, mattress, hard soft..
Flu like sensation around the nose ducts areas
At times beginning sensation of weak chest with some mucus from throat or nose.
الحمد لله. الشافي.
No matter the steps actively taken for an attempt to heal, I trust my healing to be from Allah.
----
Conclusions
I cannot tell if MMS1 is a curer of COVID symptoms, but I can tell like mentioned above it is likely it helped to the least with the mucus extraction. I have had in the past weakened moments in my chest from bronchitis to coughing heavily in flus, and that this time did not continue onto my chest could have - I say could have - been stopped through Allah’s will by MMS1 Lung protocol. No one will know.
I at least took it, MMS1, familiar with it, and if need be, someone with severe illness can at least ask me and I can reply about the process and flow, but I can’t answer to it being a cure to what I experienced this week, nor to other illnesses, at least not yet.

nct’s jaehyun’s perfume collection review!!
for part two, please refer to here!
hello, all! so some of you may have already known that in the past month, i have impulsively purchased various of perfumes, some of which are based on jaehyun’s personal perfume collection that he uses as mentioned on various platforms. some of the scents he uses are:
tom ford white suede
tom ford fucking fabulous
le labo neroli 36
jo malone myrrh & tonka
jo malone wood sage & sea salt
byredo bal d’afrique
as someone who loves collecting perfumes myself, this was a perfect excuse for me to buy some to get an idea on how he would ‘smell’ like!
some of you have asked for me to post a review of his perfumes! i will be primarily listing my reactions, experiences, and ratings for each scent, along with pictures of jaehyun associated with each scent and if the scent is masculine, feminine, or neutral. i have purchased all of them except for tom ford fucking fabulous. the byredo bal d’afrique will be reviewed at a later date after it arrives in the mail, so for now only 4/6 scents will be discussed.
disclaimer: this is NOT an advertisement but simply a fun and personal review of his perfume collection! but i wouldn’t be opposed with possible brand deals with any of them
before you buy!! some of the fragrances will react differently on your skin as the scents are based on your body chemistry with certain chemicals listed on their ingredients. thus, you may smell a different scent when sprayed on your body than on mine. not only that, some of the perfumes utilizes synthetic ingredients, which can be a deterrent for those with a sensitive nose. i strongly recommend sampling them out at local stores before purchasing as these brands are expensive.
without further ado, happy reading! please do tell me your personal experiences if you have also tried some of them (or perfumes from other members!) <3
warnings: heavy cursing, some vulgar language lmao (they will be listed as [**] if you would like to skip those parts, especially for minors)
TOM FORD WHITE SUEDE
“The addictive pull of leather and suede is channeled through an elegant musk-derived composition. Musk’s primal intensity is harmonized with saffron and thyme, heightened with velvety rose and warm amber. Warm, supple and sensual, a perfume with an irresistible expression of raw desire.” —Tom Ford
Tumblr media Tumblr media
first and foremost, i just want to say holy fucking SHIT HE SMELLS SO FUCKING GOOD WTF ASKJFKLSJ

i literally CRIED in my car after smelling it bc oh my gOD HE SMELLS LIKE THAT??!?!??
HE SMELLS LIKE A FUCKING BOYFRIEND OH MY GODJSJFJKS
i can never look at him the same way ever again holy crap
“raw desire” sOMEBODY PLEASE SAVE ME I CAN’T—
[**] like honestly it makes me want to eat his neck and choke on his dick whAt
anyways
it has a leathery and musky scent to it with a mix of powdery!!
slightly sharp when you first spray it but once it settles and marinates on your skin and clothing, it’s PERFECT
listen i’m still shooked that he smells like THAT
my friend told me one day to spray it on a big sweater and wear it to mimic wearing one of ‘his’ sweaters and—
:(
i wanted to kith him
and hug him
and cuddle with him
and never let him go aaAAAHHH
[**] oh daddy
masculine or feminine? androgynous
recommend? YES ARE YOU KIDDING ME
rating? “i’m going to name my future kid eleven because he is going to be better than you.” —liu yangyang to ten
LE LABO NEROLI 36
“Neroli is another name for the essence of Orange Blossom. The unique quality of our Neroli is its sunny floral character with an extraordinarily warm, sensual base. Rose, musk, mandarin orange (slightly aldehydic), jasmine and vanilla, among other essences, complete the portrait, bringing Neroli 36 spikiness, ease, zest and heat... Well-being, elegance and charm all in a bottle!” —Le Labo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
okay so i purchased this (and many other scents) as a sample (1.5 ml) bc this shit is hella expensive
like bro the price of it as 15 ml costs more than jo malone’s 30 ml
maybe it’s bc they said lab techs compound it on-demand??
not sure
but anyways
this gives me straight flower boy vibes
like i’m in a flower shop and there’s a cute florist behind the counter trimming and tending plants with such careful hands
but the white floral kinds
OHOHOHOHO
WE LOVE IT
if you like those kinds of scents, then this is definitely the scent for you!
seriously it smells like lilies and all the white florals alike
personally i like the sweet floral scents so this one is okay to me
still smells really good!
reminds me of glade’s fresh linen carpet powder so it unlocked a repressed memory of my childhood LMFOAODA
what a gentleman he smells like uwuuu
honestly if i was getting married to someone and he showed up to my wedding as a guest wearing this perfume i’d leave my fiancé on the spot
this man has quality tastes wtf
masculine or feminine? gender neutral (ish)? more feminine if i have to say
recommend? if you like white floral scents then you would go BONKERS over this!
rating? 7/10 only bc i prefer sweet floral over white floral scents but if i didn’t then i’d rate it 10/10
JO MALONE MYRRH & TONKA
“Rich, hand-harvested sap of the Namibian myrrh tree, mingling with the warm almond and lush vanilla notes of the tonka bean. Noble and intoxicating.” —Jo Malone
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh bitch
BITCH
THIS MOTHERFUCKER SMELLS SO FUCKING GOOD OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDDD
“noble and intoxicating” DAMN FUCKING RIGHT IT IS
[**] I WILL GET ON MY KNEES FOR THIS MAN IF I EVER SMELL THIS ON HIM
my royal liege, jung jaehyun, i am at your SERVICE HELLO SIR WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU TODAY
he could step on my face and i’d thank him for allowing me to breathe the same air as him oh my god—
ahem
moving along now
it has a vanilla and amber scent to it! a very nice and sweet scent to it that’s not too overbearing
usually i’m not a big fan of vanilla or cake fragrances bc they tend to nauseate me
but this one?
ohohoho
this is the good stuff
i didn’t exactly purchase this one; i bought other fragrances from jo malone and they gave me free samples to choose from, and myrrh & tonka was one of them sO MIGHT AS WELL TRY IT OUT
so glad i did omg i don’t regret it
i might just buy a bottle of it
[**] another one bites the dust just RAIL ME ALREADY JUNG JAEHYUN I’M BEGGING YOU—
[**] daddy pls
masculine or feminine? androgynous, but leaning slightly towards feminine
recommend? YES OH MY GOD
rating? CHITTAPHON OUT OF TEN
JO MALONE WOOD SAGE & SEA SALT
“Escape the everyday along the windswept shore. Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. The mineral scent of rugged cliffs, mingling with earthy sage.” —Jo Malone
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yo this shit smells good
like REALLY good
he smells like beaches and lemons hELLO THERE
no wonder this is one of their best sellers wtf this man has IMMACULATE TASTE EYE—
AND THERE’S ONLY ONE (1) OF HIM IN THIS ENTIRE WORLD???!?
HUH!?!!?
life truly isn’t fair, huh
okay god i see you with favorites
now
let’s see here
very citrusy!!
also has that marine type of scent to it making it exceptionally aromatic!
not too much of a boujee scent like m&t where you would use on special events
this is more like a scent you would use on a daily basis going out
but upgraded
like you would smell fresh and expensive
kind of like a lowkey rich kid type of scent but you’re humble about it but lowkey kinda flexing yk?
this smell is BEAUT i love it omg i cant stop sniffing it
i’m a sucker for citrus scents :(
i’d wear this shit to school everyday if i could and have all my friends smell me
damn i bet his sweaters smell hella nice with this perfume :(
masculine or feminine? gender neutral
recommend? yes, yes, and yes.
rating? 10/10
tl;dr— jaehyun has expensive tastes and smells so fucking sexy how is he even real what the fUCk

Looking for a book to read?
Let me put an author out there who may or may not be on your radar: Kendra E. Ardnek. If you're in the market for a fairy tale retelling or a portal fantasy (or, in one case, a high fantasy political thingy), she's your girl. Her books aren't consistently masterpieces, but they are a delight to read and full of cleverness and adventure and humor and tragedy and love.
(Also, full disclosure: Kendra has a necessary medical procedure coming up that she needs to find a way to pay for. So, while I would recommend her books anyway, that is a motivation for making this post and trying to convince you to pick them up.)
My favorite of her books is The Worth of a King — it's got long-lost siblings, murder, plots, fabulous non-long-lost sibling relationships, a whole nation of people who are basically doing their best Zorro/Dread Pirate Roberts impressions 24/7, a super sweet romance, actual contemplation of what it is to be a good leader, and, last but not least, Prince Delaney, who I love. (You'll also love him once you meet him.)
A close second is her Rizkaland Legends series, which is portal fantasy in the vein of Narnia, but more modern (and also with bonus arranged marriages — don't worry, there's nothing remotely questionable on the page). You can start with either book 1 or book 2; I love book 2 best, but that's because it contains most of my favorite characters in the series. Be aware: Book 3 is awesome — it deals a lot with that question of how the people who go on these adventures adjust to being home again (spoiler alert: the answer is "not terribly well) — but it will also tear your heart into tiny pieces. In a good way, though!
Her latest book, Rose Petals and Snowflakes, is also pretty fun. If you're a fan of Austen and fairy tales, give this a shot; it's a blend of Sense and Sensibility with Snow White and Rose Red, and it works astonishingly well. I had my doubts about it when Kendra said she was going to write it, but storm me if it isn't a genuinely clever idea and a good book. (She's doing Pride and Prejudice crossed with Cinderella next, and I think Emma/Rapunzel is after that. She actually has me excited for the Emma retelling, which is saying something since I have yet to get through a version of that book, full stop.)
She also has the Bookania Quests, which are humorous fairy tale retellings that end up hitting some serious topics by halfway through the series. The first couple books are her early work and therefore a little rough, but the second half of the series makes up for it by virtue of (A) just being generally better quality and (B) having the main couples get married and then just . . . keep having adventures. Like, who does that? More people should! If you want to skip the rough start, you can start with Book 4, which was written as an alternative entry point and features the aforementioned married adventuring couple. (Well . . . sorta. You'll see what I mean if you look at the book.) And then if you fall in love, you can go back and read how they got together.
All of her books are available in Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and paperback. If you don't want to go through the 'Zon, contact her and she'd probably be willing to set you up with a back-channel copy.
Also, if you've already read her books, tell me so we can chat! Or try to chat. I am not very good at carrying a conversation, as you might have noticed. xD

Hey everyone! So, I don’t know when I’ll make the youtube video for this, but I plan to once I am done with classes. So, here’s the script for it since I finished writing it. This is basically what I would personally hope for if they ever come back and make another season of this or two. I think two would be better, but it will likely get one. Regardless, there is something here and I love this show way more than I thought I would. I do highly recommend it for the animation, style, story, and if you need a laugh and some good moments.
To clarify something, I did watch this when I started high school. I didn’t get to finish it, because life happens and Disney wasn’t showing it much on my end. I finally finished it in a month, so yeah.
May 7, 2022: I updated this to add one more part to this. I will have the video on my channel on May 9th! Thanks for reading and enjoying this!
May 9, 2022: Here’s the link to video if you want that. I don’t know if you do since there is this already, but it doesn’t hurt to share.
https://href.li/?https://youtu.be/uK516qs5BWw
I have nothing else to say other than I would honestly like another season. So, here’s the script I wrote for if this show got another season or two. I’ll make the video soonish. I also plan to do a review video on it too. Either way, I like this. He feels like a high school kid and did half the nonsense my friends and I did when we were his age. We weren’t smart and we are barely smart now. Enjoy!
Introduction:
Hello everyone, I am the writer, I have no words to describe the nonsense this show is, but here we are. To be honest, I like this, because it is my guilty pleasure with magical girl shows and an idiot clearly in over his head and being a normal teenager.
Again, this show is going through a renaissance right now, and I have no clue. The best I can come up with is that Ben Schwartz being Sonic launched this, but I don't know. Or, it is because Kick Buttwaski got the third season, and fans of this show want it. To be honest, I do too. There is something here and it has a charm to it. The humor and style, and the characters. It is great and consistent and finished the main goal of it.
Rules
So, I don't know where to start with this, but I will keep some rules in mind as I write this.
I will keep the episodes in the 15-minute format.
Randy will appear in all the episodes
I will keep all the cast the same. Not adding nor subtracting anyone.
The sorcerer will not return to be a major character in the newer seasons.
Just a personal note, please don't change the animation. I love it. It is so good. I think it is wonderful. Please do not change it.
Also, these are just my ideas. This is just what I think would be fun to see if the show ever continues or gets picked up. This is just what I hope to see. I am sure a ton of fans have ideas of their own and maybe they are secretly working on this and already have the entire thing planned out from beginning to end. Also, this is for fun!  And you can have your ideas. So, just enjoy it and have fun. Again, for fun!
If anyone from the show is watching this for some odd reason, you are free to take this and use it. I am not kidding. I want to see this end, so if this helps, please take it. I just want to see more of this show and the content. Please do more with this show.
I will make this assumption. Randy and his classmates might be juniors if we pick this up. The reason I believe this is because he had a chemistry textbook in season 2. I can believe that he and his classmates wear the same clothes to high school for two years and that he was a sophomore. I do believe he is junior now with most of the cast. I'm also basing this off the public school system in North America because he is clearly from one.
I believe two more seasons would be the best to wrap this up.
Each season is a year of high school which I think is fine. You would normally graduate in four years anyway.
Season 3 will be a junior year and the last and fourth one will be a senior year.
Also, they need new clothes. I do love how they do have different outfits, but for junior and senior years, they should get a new wardrobe. I think it would reflect the passage of time.
Also, and I cannot believe I am saying this, thanks to Disney plus, they can come back to this and work on it. Also, I think this would benefit from a whole release than a weekly one considering it is an animated series. Similar to how Visions was released. That would work out well for it.
I think that’s it.
We will start with season 3.
Sorcerer's Origin
So, let's address one episode I think we all want and will kind of break a rule.
One episode that can be a two-part special is the sorcerer. I know I said we should move on from this guy, but I think an origin story would be fine. It can start the third season off with Randy sitting in his new room and reading the book and seeing the origin of the Sorcerer which can lead to the new antagonist the sorcerers. She got out of the land of shadows once, she can do it again. I think it would work well and even see the return of the First one and his sidekick. This can be two parts to pace itself and also get the audience caught up to the third season.
The Book
I know we love the 800-year-old non-binary book, but I want an episode on it. I know it is alive because it reacts to Randy and the situation he is in. It also created an evil version of him and has done so many things that I want an explanation. That can be 15 minutes, but to tie into this, we could get the second part being the book's perspective. I will be honest, I thought we would've gotten an episode on the book's POV. I'm surprised they never did that. I would love to see the book's POV on some situations Randy gets himself into. We can even have the First one and his sidekick appearing.
Sorceress' Return
Again, she got out before, she can get out again. I also think this would be an interesting parallel to Randy. Look, we all know Theresa is supposed to be his love interest, but I can see her becoming a tri protagonist to Randy and Howard and that's not a bad thing. Sam, Danny, and Tucker are a trio, heck kingdom hearts exists, so it can work. I think she's spunky enough to join them and go on adventures. I'll talk about her in the next section
As for the sorceress, she could return and try to steal energy from others and go after Randy once she discovers that he made the sorcerer turn good and gain peace. Heck, she can take different forms and stay at the school.
She could also stink Randy and Howard, two characters who haven't had those forms. It would be interesting to see and figure out how to save them. I really can see her being the next threat.
Theresa Being a Protagonist
I believe she was going to have a bigger role in the next season since she was featured in the final ish. I know I am grasping at straws, but I can see her becoming a protagonist. She does open a lot of potential storylines in the series.
I feel like her and the Sorceress would be an interesting parallel. We don't know much about the sorceress's relationship with the sorcerer other than they love to cause chaos together, but considering she manipulates boys to do her bidding and to earn her affection, I don't know how long that relationship would've lasted.
As for Theresa, she likes Randy for who he is and what he does. She doesn't want him to change and wants him to be who he is. There are little deleted moments where she is sad he doesn't think about asking her to the dance in the episode. She is confident, but she does love Randy for who she is. Even if we don't quite understand it.
With her, you can also do plotlines that can have her finding out who Randy is, and maybe she gets a turn with the suit. She can get sucked into the book. Her relationship with Debbi would be interesting to see. Heck, maybe something with the cheer team. I can honestly see that being interesting episodes. She would be a calmer version of Sam, but still have the spunk to help out and go on adventures.
Randy's Parents
I know this show has done fine without his parents, but I think it would be nice to see his parents. We know he has a mother who comes and goes. She probably has a job. We know he has a father, but we have no idea what either of them does as a job. He does have a good relationship with both since they do give him a curfew and don't hesitate to punish him when he does mess up. I also think the mother must be aware that her son is the Ninja and that would be a good dynamic. I can also see her supporting her son as being the Ninja. As for the father, I have no idea. We know more about the mom than the dad. I also don't think they need to appear more. Just do one episode with his mother and then the second one with the father. Then, they could appear here and there. They don't need to be main characters, but they will be there on and off which I think is fine.
Prom
This is one of the highlights of high school. One is not all the highlights of high school. I can see this being a huge shipping moment for Randy and Theresa and technically Howard and Debbi too since Howard kind of has an interest in her, but I can also see him and Howard messing up everyone else's prom. I don't know. I feel like this would be an episode where something plot-important would happen along with shipping moments. It is prom! Let them have a dance! Randy can dance and Theresa is a cheerleader, give it to me!
Conclusion to Season 3
To be entirely honest, I have no idea how this will end. I hope it ends similarly to how Howard sort of helps him defeat his enemies, but with Theresa too. Yes, if it isn't obvious enough, I love them. they're so cute together. I think it would be a fitting end to the sorcerers too. Being defeated by their version of love, I don't know. I know romance is not the point of this show, but I think it would be sweet. At the same time, I don't know how many people would be fine with that. I think it would work as a way to parallel how Randy and Howard did work together to sort of stop evil Julian. Having Theresa help Randy beat the sorcerers would be a good parallel too. Either way, I think it would work.
Hopefully, she'll either find peace or something else. I think she'll be defeated than find peace. I think that would be an interesting ending for her, but since this show does redeem or give its characters peaceful endings, she'll have one. Maybe she'll move on from love and magic or find her love. I don't know, someone else writes the ending for me.
Then, we have Season 4
Viceroy as the Final Main Antagonist
The past seasons are a villain origin story if I ever saw one forming besides Harry Osborn. The way his boss treated him! I'm honestly surprised he hasn't started a coup! He could do it. He's evil enough too, but also, he's redeemable too. I don't think it would be like the sorcerers, but something else. Like an apology but heartfelt. Again, this man is one bad day from being a villain and we've seen it throughout the show too. If anything precious to him is lost, he will destroy the city for it. All I am saying is that man did see where the Chaos Pearls fell and would be able to figure out how to use it.
McFist + Viceroy Past
We know McFist and the ninja of 85 had a past together and that his wife was a daycare worker. But how did they meet? What did Viceroy get out of this? Seriously, why do you bother to work for the worst person in the universe? What do you gain out of this?! Please tell me! Also, and yeah, I'm not a fan of the wealthy man, but how did he lose an arm and then give it a brain? That's a story! That's a story! But mainly, I want Viceroy. I do.  Sure, evil college school was cool, but how did you meet this terrible person? Tell me!
The Last 8 Chapters + Spider-Verse But Ninjas
I love the first Ninja and we get another one who is Kronk. I think a good idea would be for Randy to see some other notable ninjas in a spider verse kind of way but either with time travel or something happening to the book. This book has been alive for 800 years. I want to see more of them! Show me more! I think it would work. This could also help them revisit old concepts or even help him finish training the last 8 chapters since this kid is supposed to be the chosen one which is insane. I don’t know who decided that, but all right. I think it would work and show each Ninja helping him learn the last 8 chapters. This would be an interesting arch in this season, because again, Viceroy seems to be a bigger threat.
The Creeper
Going to be entirely honest, I think Randy would keep his memory of the book. I believe some people might’ve kept their memory of being the ninja. I can see him being one of them. Heck, maybe the Creeper will give him the book and become the guardian. Of course, that depends if Randy wants to go to college or do something else with his life which is also a valid way to end this.
Either way, he and the swordsmith need an episode about their pasts. I can see this also being a two-part episode, but I think four would be better to flesh it out.
Tengu's Past
So, he burnt the mask. Unless every ninja goes through this, the Tengu fireball is something unique to Randy, right? I have no clue. I want to know more about the bird. So bad. I want to know how this existed and was sealed into a stone. How does this work? Are there more mythical creatures? Why didn't the first one use it? I have so many questions and so few answers!
And they could even bring back a concept that was featured in the games a cold form of the suit. Again, there are interesting concepts. I wouldn't be surprised that besides the tengu, there is something else in the suit. I believe it could work too. But how did he meet the bird and why don't we see more of it? I want him to summon it like a persona! What can I say, I'll always be a video game nerd first.
Conclusion to Season 4
If anyone is going to reveal Randy's Identity, it's Viceroy. This would be a four-part ending too. I can see Viceroy revealing Randy's identity in the first part of the final and then having to deal with that.
Also, magic and machines are not a combination you want to fight. That would overwhelm Randy. However, I think this final would be in four parts, and Howard and Theresa would do something to help him with Creeper too.
For the first two-part episode, I can see Viceroy revealing who Randy is to everyone as Viceroy goes mad with power and tries to destroy the world. Heck, maybe he damages or destroys the Nomicon. There's your angst to anyone who ships Randy with the book! As for how Howard and Theresa could help, I can see them picking Randy and helping him through the pain of losing the book and possibly dooming their city. They can similarly help him as to how MJ and Ned did in Spider-Man No Way Home and Far From Home. I can see Theresa stealing the Chaos Pearls as Howard destroys the machines. I also imagine Randy not being here, because he feels like a failure and beating himself over this mess. Then, the Creeper comes in and helps Randy back up to his feet to fight the Viceroy. I think what would snap Randy back is seeing both Howard and Theresa getting captured by Viceroy. Randy saves them, thanks to them, and goes back to fight the Viceroy.
The second two-part episode can be Randy fighting Viceroy and doing what he can, but his power isn't enough. Randy realizes that he has to get McFist to make him apologize to Viceroy. Of course, he trusts Theresa and Howard. As for Randy, he gets to use the powers of all the Ninjas. I can sort of see him using their skills and teachings as he gets the Chaos Pearls away from Viceroy. Without the magic, Viceroy is still a threat and uses his machines. He effortlessly beats Randy, because again, the engineer is smart and probably programmed his machines to handle their fight against Randy. So, just as Randy is getting beaten, Howard and Theresa arrive with McFist who genuinely apologies to Viceroy for what he has done.  Viceroy calms down and Randy destroys the machines to then destroy the Chaos Pearls once and for all.
Afterward, Viceroy and McFist make up, and the scene changes to them about to graduate from high school. I can see the three of them preparing to get a mind wipe but don't. I think the Creeper would mind-wiping them and I see him giving Randy the book and mask. This would be along the lines of "my time is done. It is your turn". I can see Randy hanging on to the book and mask, but I can also see him heading to college or doing something else. I think both or either works as an ending. But, I think maybe the Creeper will still stay and watch the book and mask, but I don't think Randy will lose his memory. I can honestly imagine the ending scene where a new ninja is watching the school and fighting evil as Randy looks from a distance and smiling, proud and content. But to be honest, I have no clue how this should end, so again, go nuts with this. I think this has the potential to have any kind of ending and that's pretty awesome.
Stuff I wasn't sure where to put in the video, so this is where it goes.
Everyone does not like Bash
I just think it would be hilarious if there was an episode where Bash leaves and then everyone in the school throws a party. I just think that would be hilarious until the book snaps Randy out of it to teach him a lesson.  As for the ending, Bash does leave because he finally graduated, I don't know. Someone can come up with a better reason, or maybe he doesn’t leave. Maybe they interpret it wrong. That is probably what will happen.
Dear Nomicon
I thought the second season was going to have Randy start writing in the book and informing it about what he learned over the years. Yes, I am thinking of Twilight who would write to Princess Celestia. I thought that's what was going to happen. I just think that would've been funny to see, but I also think it would be a good way to show he's moving on and writing lessons for the future ninjas to use. I don't know if they can even use this without fear of copyrights. I just want someone to draw Randy writing in the book and saying "Dear Nomicon, today I learned not to do this stupid thing" To which the book is thinking "I can't believe you needed to learn that, but I am grateful you did"
Nomi Randy
For the small-time, he was out, he caused enough chaos. This makes this better when you realize the First Ninja is watching him too. There is more potential with this …. What even is he? He came from the book…. And has a Boston accent. I have so many questions about this being. So… another episode. Make it a two-part special.
Star Crossover Episode
If you grew up in the 2000s, then you remember how cool crossover episodes. Billy and Mandy meeting the Kids Next Door to Lilo meeting Kim, Jake, and Penny. Seriously, those were so cool! So, I think out of ever Disney shows around the early 2010s, Star and Randy would've crossed over. For one, in the side game, the two of them have been shown to be good friends. Randy and Star would be good friends, because they are both magical girls. One is clearly based off that while the other has the transformations and power ups. Marco would be losing his mind and freaking out about the chaos. Howard would just be questioning what his life is at this point. Magic, dimensions, and other nonsense. Again, this would be an interesting crossover and just be fun to see. I hope they would get some of the original cast to come back and do this. It would just be fun and doesn't have to be canon unless they want it to. This would be fun to see, but very unlikely to ever happen.
Conclusion to the Video
This was a video. I am not sure where this came from, and this kind of has nothing to do with the channel's content to an extent. I just thought of this and haven't stopped since. I like this show. It is a lot of fun. Making this video was also fun. I want more of this show and I think it is possible to see more of it, I hope. Also, this was for fun. I am sure everyone has their ideas of their version of how this series should end, and hey, you can share down below if you want. Well, that's it for this video. Thank you for watching, be sure to subscribe, like, and comment, and have a wonderful day! Goodbye.

once again i am answering asks in a big compilation post. included is... gotham, patrick stump, tips about drawing backgrounds, tips about drawing in general, links to my faq, and infinity train
Tumblr media
like.... the tv series? No... I’ve drawn dc comics fanart before, though. But it’s been years since I’ve been really into it. I like jumped ship like 10 years ago when the New 52 happened LOL.
Tumblr media
AFJHDSLKGH I’m sorry I (probably) won’t do it again??
Actually full disclosure I have a truly cringe amount of p stump drawings/photo studies in my sketchbook right now LOL. He’s just fun to draw... hats, glasses, guitar, a good shape... but I don’t think I’ll rly post those until I can hide them in another big sketchbook pdf.. probably Jan 2022. Stay tuned........ (ominous)
(ominous preview)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are all sort of related to backgrounds/painting so I grouped them together even though they’re pretty much entirely separate questions.... ANYWAYS
a) How is it working as a BG artist? Is it hard? What show are you drawing for?
I think you’re the first person to ever ask me about my job! Being a background artist is great. It’s definitely labor intensive but I think that could describe pretty much any art job (If something were rote or easy to automate, you wouldn’t hire an artist to do it) and I hesitate to say whether its harder or easier than any other role in the animation pipeline. Plus, so much of what truly makes a job difficult varies from one production to the next, schedule, working environment, co-workers etc. But I will say that I think while BGs are generally a lot of work on the upfront, I think they’re subject to less scrutiny/revisions than something like character/props/effects design and you don’t have to pitch them to a room like boards. So I guess it’s good if you don’t like to talk to people? LOL
A lot of my previous projects + the show I’ve worked on the longest aren’t public yet so I can’t talk about em (but I assure you if/when the news does break I won’t shut up about it). But I’m currently working on Archer Season 12 LOL. I’m like 90% sure I’m allowed to say that.
b) ~~~THANK YOU!! ~~~
c) What exactly do you like to draw most [in a background]?
@kaitomiury Lots of stuff! I really like to draw clutter! Because it’s a great opportunity for environmental storytelling and also you can be kind of messy with it because the sheer mass will supersede any details LOL.
I like to draw clouds... I like to draw grass but not trees lol,,, I like to draw anything that sells perspective really easily like tiled floors and ceilings, shelves, lamp posts on a street etc.
d) Do you have any tips on how to paint (observational)?
god there’s so much to say. painting is really a whole ass discipline like someone can paint their whole life and still discover new things about it. I guess if you’re really just starting out my best advice is that habit is more important than product. especially with traditional plein air painting, I find that the procedure of going outside and setting up your paints is almost harder than the actual painting. There’s a lot of artists who say “I want to do plein air sometime!!” and then never actually get around to doing it. A lot of people just end up working from google streetview or photos on their computer.
But going outside to paint is a really good challenge because it forces you to make and commit to lighting and composition decisions really quickly. And to work through your mistakes instead of against them via undo button.
My last tip is to check out James Gurney’s youtube channel because hes probably the best and most consistent resource on observational painting out there rn. There’s lots other artists doing the same thing (off the top of my head I know a lot of the Warrior Painters group has people regularly posting plein air stuff and lightbox expo had a Jesse Schmidt lecture abt it last year) but Gurney’s probably the most prolific poster and one of the best at explaining the more technical stuff - his books are great too.
e) Do you have tips for drawing cleanly on heavypaint?
@marigoldfool UMM LOL I LIKE ONLY USE THE FILL TOOL so maybe use the fill tool? Fill and rectangle are good for edge control as opposed to the rest of the heavy paint tools which can get sort of muddles. And also I use a stylus so maybe if you’re using your finger, find a stylus that works with your device instead. That’s all I’ve got, frankly I don’t think my drawings are particularly clean lol.
f) Tips on improving backgrounds/scenes making them more dynamic practicing etc?
Ive given some tips about backgrounds/scenes before so I’m not gonna re-tread those but here’s another thing that might be helpful...
I think a good way to approach backgrounds is to think of the specific story or even mood you want to convey with the background first. Thinking “I just need to put something behind this character” is going to lead you to drawing like... a green screen tourist photo backdrop. But if you think “I need this bg to make the characters feel small” or “I need this bg to make the world feel colorful” then it gives you requirements and cues to work off of.
Tumblr media
If I know a character needs to feel overwhelmed and small, then I know I need to create environment elements that will cage them in and corner them. If a character needs to feel triumphant/on top of the world then I know I need to let the environment open up around them. etc. If I know my focal point/ where I want to draw attention, I can build the background around that.
Also, backgrounds like figure compositions will have focal points of their own and you can draw attention to it/ the relationship the characters have with the bg element via scale or directionality or color, any number of cues. I think of it almost as a second/third character in a scene.
Tumblr media
Not every composition is gonna have something so obvious like this but it helps me to think about these because then the characters feel connected and integrated with the environment.
Tumblr media
Some more general art questions
a) Do you have any process/tips to start drawing character/bodies/heads?
I tried to kind of draw something to answer this but honestly this is difficult for me to answer because I don’t think I’m that great at drawing characters LOL. Ok, I think I have two tips.
1) flip your canvas often. A lot about what makes human bodies look correct and believable is symmetry and balance. Even if someone has asymmetrical features, the body will often pull and push in a way to counterbalance it. we often have inherent biases to one side or another like dominant hands dominant eyes etc. you know how right-handed artists will often favor drawing characters facing 45 degrees facing (the artist’s) left? that’s part of it. so viewing your drawing flipped even just to evaluate it helps compensate for that bias and makes you more aware of balance.
2) draw the whole figure often. I feel like a lot of beginner artists (myself included for a long time) defer to just drawing headshots or busts because it’s easier, you dont have to think about posing limbs etc. But drawing a full body allows you to better gauge proportion, perspective, body language, everything that makes a character look believable and grounded.
Like if you (me) have that issue where you draw the head too big and then have to resize it to fit the proportions of the rest of the body, it’s probably because you (I) drew the head first and are treating the body as an afterthought/attachment. Sketching out the whole figure first or even just quick drawing guides for it will help you think of it more holistically. I learned this figure drawing in charcoal at art school LOL.
Tumblr media
oh. third mini tip - try to draw people from life often! its the best study. if you can get into a figure drawing/nude drawing class EVEN BETTER and if you have a local college/art space/museum that hosts those for free TREASURE IT AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT, that’s a huge boon that a lot of artists (me again) wish they had. though if youre not so lucky and youre sitting in a park trying to creeper draw people and they keep moving.. don’t let that stop you! that’s good practice because it’s forcing you to work fast to get the important stuff down LOL. its a challenge!
b) I’ve been pretty out of energy and have had no inspiration to draw but I have the desire to. Any advice?
Dude, take a walk or something.... Or a nap? Low energy is going to effect everything else so you gotta hit that problem at its source.
If you’re looking for inspiration though, I’d recommend stuff like watching a movie, reading a book, playing video games etc. Fill up your idea bank with content and then give yourself time/space to gestate it into new concepts. Sometimes looking at other art works but sometimes it can work against you because it’s too close.
Also something that helps me is remembering that art doesn’t always have to be groundbreaking... like it’s okay to make something shitty and stupid that you don’t post online and only show to your friend. That’s all part of the process imo. If you want to hit a home run you gotta warm up first, right? Sports.
I should probably compile everytime i give tips on stuff like this but that’s getting dangerously close to being a social media artist who makes stupid boiled down art tutorials for clout which is the last thing i want to be... the thing I want to stress is that art is a whole visual language and there are widely agreed upon rules and customs but they exist in large part to be broken. Like there's an infinite number of ways to reach an infinite number of solutions and that’s actually what makes it really cool and personal for both the artist and the viewer. So when you make work you like or you find someone else’s work you like, take a step back and ask yourself what about it speaks for you, what about it works for you, what makes it effective, how to recreate that effect and how to break that effect completely, etc. And have a good time with it or else what’s the point.
Tumblr media
for the first 2, I direct you to my FAQ
For the last one, I don’t actually believe I’ve ever addressed artwork as insp for stories/rp but I’ll say here and now yeah go ahead! As long as you’re not making profit or taking credit for my work then I’m normally ok with it. Especially anything thats private and purely recreational, that’s generally 100% green light go. I only ask that if you post it anywhere public that you please credit me.
(and I reserve the right to ask you to take it down if I see it and don’t approve of it’s use but I think that case is pretty rare.)
Tumblr media
a) @lemuelzero101 Thank you!!! I haven’t played Life is Strange but actually  that series’ vis dev artist Edouard Caplain is one of my bigger art inspirations lately so that’s a really high compliment lol. And yeah I hope we get 5-8 too...!
b) Thank you for sticking around! I’ve been thinking about Digimon and Infinity Train in tandem lately, actually. They’re a little similar? Enter a dangerous alternate world and have wacky adventures with monsters/inanimate objects that have weird powers... there’s like weird engineers and mechanisms behind the scenes... also frontier literally starts with them getting on a train. Anyways if anyone else followed me for digimon... maybe you’d like Infinity Train? LOL
c) @king-wens-king I’M GLAD MY ART JUST HAS PINOY VIBES LOL I hope you are having a good day too :^)
Tumblr media
a, b, c, d) yessss my Watch Infinity Train agenda is working....
e) aw thank you!! i think you should watch infinity train :)

https://frater370.blogspot.com/2021/05/magical-approach-to-plant-materia.html
This is a short piece on how I go about selecting, procuring, and using plant materia in my own magic. I have posted it on my other blog as it may be easier to read. I will also post it below.
Magical Approach to Plant Materia.
Overview.
My approach to plants has been influenced by several sources, some of which I have listed at the end, however it is far simpler and less involved. This has its costs as well as its benefits. I know what works for me, I know what mythos I like to clothe my magick in, and I know what is personally important to me as well as what is not. Therefore, it may seem like my approach is at odds with that of other people, and it is, but it is not at odds with myself! Try my methods out alongside the methods of others, experiment, and see what works for you.
Dried or Fresh?
One of the questions that people usually ask first is whether dried ingredients- the ones you usually buy from metaphysical stores- are okay to use in magick. Yes, they are. But fresh is always best. The same is true in cooking as well as magick. Fresh herbs, especially those picked from nature by the magical worker, contain more spirit within them, more essence. They are also more potent in their latent power. Notice I say latent, in magick the magician can awake the same power in dried herbs and consecrate it to work in alignment with their Will. But fresh herbs will have more of this latent power in abundance.
Sometimes certain plant materia is rare, expensive, or simply cannot be found within your climate. In this case, I recommend first seeing if there could be a local alternative, and if not, buying dried from a reputable seller. Of course if one is making incense from plant materia dried is naturally better to begin with.
Preparation Before Going Out Into The Fields.
Before going out collecting herbs I like to align my Will with the universal Will and local spirits. So first I wash my hands and face. Then I will go to my altar and pray and state my intention out loud. For example, “I wish to venture out and gather herbs for the sacred work of x” I normally have an idea of what plants. I want, and so I list those too, however, sometimes nature surprises with you with great additional plants or alternatives. I then petition the spirits of the local area and offer some fresh water and incense that they may help me favourably.
I then pack my things. This includes:
A small sharp knife which is capable of cutting plants and small pieces of wood cleanly and with one stroke.
A small silk lined bag. (I bought some silk and stitched it to the inside of a small bag)
A bottle of fresh spring water.
A smartphone which has a map for safety as well as an internet connection which allows for identification of plants.
Collecting Plant Materia From The Fields.
Most of the time I see a plant I know and want to work with. Other times I find I am drawn to plants as though they are calling me. In this case, I get out my smartphone and get to work identifying the plant. I check if its poisonous and superficially check if it is suitable for my working. If it isn’t but seems useful for another working I make a note of its location and leave it for now. I will detail how I decide what plants are used for later.
Once we come to a plant I want to pick I kneel by it. I place my hand upon it or just over it and I communicate with intent, energy, and words what I want to do. That is, I ask its permission to be an ally in my work. I then wait for a response. This tends to be an inner feeling of rightness or wrongness, both of these feelings are unmistakeable. Other times the plant seemingly responds a certain way to the wind which causes these feelings to arise. It is truly a matter of intuition and cannot be taught human to human.
If an agreement is reached I offer the plant spirit water and then cut only what I need from the plant and place it in my silk bag. Do not let it touch the Earth as the spiritual powers may become grounded. I recommend you research beforehand how to cut from different types of plants for the least harm. I then take my finger, dab it in the spring water and rub the wound of the plant channeling an intent to heal. Once again offer a little water to the plant, and thank it for its sacrifice.
If an agreement is not reached, which does happen from time to time, give your thanks and offer a little water anyway. Either move to a different plant of the same species nearby, or search for an alternative altogether. It may be that despite a book stating one herb as brilliant for this use, the local nature spirits may have a better alternative for the working at hand. Either way, we must respect the plants decision.
Obviously, if you are collecting dried herbs you are simply purchasing them from a reputable vendor. Whilst we cannot offer the plant water and some spiritual power may have been lost due to contact to the ground, or because it is ‘less fresh’ we can still awaken the latent power within them. I hold the dried herbs in my hand and reach out to the parent plant or plants. I then give thanks and blow into the herbs with my own life force. This in turn awakens the life force within.
Consecration.
Prior to magical work I take the herbs and wash them under the tap and place them in jars. Each plant in their own. I then gather materials for my ritual. There are many ways you can use plants in magic. You can create magical incenses, tinctures, teas, charm bags, mojo bags, and magical oils. The idea behind most of these methods is that the herbs are consecrated to a purpose and work alongside other herbs and materials to form a sort of spiritual being, an ally to do the work.
If in a charm or mojo bag the spirit will have to be fed with energy or condition oils. The rule appears to be that if you make a charm out of degradable materials, i.e., fresh herbs that rot and dried herbs that lose potency over time you need to continue feeding so that the spirit still has strength. In oils and tinctures this is not usually an issue as the oil or alcohol preserves the plant matter. So regular feeding is not required. Incense is also not required to be fed as the fire releases the spirit essence when it is burned.
There are different traditions as to the number of herbs used, the time of feeding, the method of feeding. As a rule of thumb- if it is a short-term goal once a week is fine. If it is a long-term goal for a slow manifestation process or ongoing process once a week for the first month and then once a month thereafter, or whenever it feels it needs it.
Occasionally, I set up a ritual magic setting, other times I do not. It depends on my mood and what exactly I am doing. For example, if the Herbs I have are for something to do with love I will sometimes perform the ritual of the Hexagram of Venus and channel that energy along with my own into the plant. This also allows you to call upon the energies of Venus to maintain the charge of the consecrated item. However, this is not necessary, your energy, Will and the spirits of the plants are sufficient. It is a good boost to have though if say you are using lots of dried materials. Another good idea is to consecrate a crystal or talisman (something more durable requiring less feeding) with the intent of maintaining the charge of the charm bag etc.
But in general, I take each individual plant and whisper my intent into it. Breathing my energy into it and drawing out the energy within it. I then add it to whatever it is I am creating. I do this with each one, spending some time with each herb. Sometimes if I have an appropriate incense I smoke the herbs over the incense. Once the product is constructed I whisper once more and breathe three times. I then seal it. This is true of all techniques I use except mojo bags which have a different procedure, albeit similar. But not wanting to get into the realms of cultural appropriation and being cancelled by children who have no concept of magical history or practice I shall not state the method here.
I normally feed with energy infused with breath, however, smoking through pertinent incense is also satisfactory. I normally use plant magic these days in oils and tinctures and use them to energise other things such as talismans as well as my own etheric body.
If a product has become spiritually inert I deconstruct it and bury the plant materials giving thanks and permission to depart. I then leave another offering of water and cover with Earth. It can be nice to bury the plant material near where you picked it and give thanks to the parent plant and local spirits. However, this is not always practical and your own back garden is absolutely fine! Unless it is a curse in which case away from the home, perhaps in a cemetery or church is better.
This is my own simple method. I have done and sometimes still do more involved rituals. But I don’t want to share them here. They are quite personal and in some cases are family traditions. I believe I have covered the essence of plant magic in a simple way which can be embellished with personal flair.
How I select plants.
I tend to start with the basics, what does it look like? What colours does it have? What are these colours associated with? I then branch out into folklore and myths surrounding the plants- what sorts of things did the stories have about the plants. What have they been traditionally used for in medicine? This allows you to start forming a tradition around the plant, a correspondence around the plant within which you can plug your magical intention. For example, we know Lavender is purple, purple is Yesod- the moon. Lavender has been used medicinally to calm and induce sleep. Therefore, lavender is a potent herb to include in a recipe for dream work. It is that sort of thinking.
Luckily, many people have already done this thinking for you. Which is the purpose of the resources list below. Like I say sometimes plants will call out to you, it is ultimately up to you to find out how they can work for you.
EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that uprooting wild plants is illegal and environmentally irresponsible in the U.K. I thought I made it clear but if not- never take the whole plant, only what you need. Always research how to take from a plant without harming it. An app is okay for identification on the go but always strive to have knowledge of the local species first. Sometimes I assume I have made things clear when I have not.
