not to analyze my own work but i do rly like how anthea so often is this kind of disruptive agent to the stories i put her in. its her Witchiness, for certain-- she never quite plays by the rules and expectations of the people around her, or the genre she finds herself in. on alternia she pushes the definition of what it means to be a jadeblood and to exist in a fanventure. in QFDP, a horror comic, shes a naggy vampire who straddles the line of doting friend and bad influence. in a magical girl yuri she eschews the nadeshiko yamato senpai class S love interest to sieze her protagonism from death itself. in a pokemon comic where all disputes are solved by friendly sparring, anthea refuses to compete.
