What if after Renesme reached full maturity (7 years old) she feels herself too young to be in a relationship with Jacob? She would look 18 and he would look like a 25 year old swole man. (She inherited Bella's mentality. )
How does Bella take this news?
"Renesmee, sweetie, because Jacob is whatever you need him to be, if he feels you're ready for a relationship it must be because you are. He can't not be what you need him to be, so you're ready. You are beautiful, talented, and wonderful Renesmee and are ready for love. Go get em, tiger."

Gale is to The Hunger Games what Jacob is to Twilight, both insufferable, pick-me characters that y’all only liked/shipped with the mc bc they’re played by conventionally hot men.

Alright, Christmas is over so it’s time to hate again
In this house we hate:
Hardin Scott
Jacob Black and any werewolf who imprints on babies
Christian Grey
Ares Hidalgo & Raquel Mendoza (“ay mi mami trabaja, que vergüenza” púdrete niña)
Massimo Torricelli
Milk crate boy from Tall girl
Luke Castellan (we appreciate him as a villain though)
Sergei Benznikov
H de héroe 🤮 (quien secuestra un perrito 😡?) Babi y también el Pollo ese
Noah Flynn, Marco Peña and specially Lee Flynn
Emily Cooper and Gabriel
BONUS: not a bad or outright toxic person as the above but: Xavier Thorpe (Tyler ONLY is saved because i understand his toxic tantrum was a facade)
Of course this doesn’t mean i can’t be friends with people who likes or loves them. Just that know that i will bash them to dead from time to time.

just so we’re clear even if i end up hating every single character in twilight i will still always hate the guy who forced himself on bella (and thought it was funny when she got mad!) and then, on an entirely separate occasion, guilt tripped her by threatening suicide, the most.
(yes, we are acknowledging smeyers is racist, and wrote the wolves disrespectfully. no, that does not excuse all of jacob’s actions.)

idk.. the way edward talks to bella is so degrading. he really treated her like she was incapable of making responsible decisions (shes not, as later revealed to us but he didnt know that) I don’t see how anyone could like Edward. If a man treated me like that i would avoid him like the plague. If i saw him in my fucking bedroom?? I’d file a fucking restraining order. What the hell makes you think i’d let this disrespectful ass bitch watch me sleep? EVEN IF HE WASNT MEAN TO ME, SOMEONE, A STRANGER, COMING INTO MY BEDROOM TO WATCH ME SLEEP IS ALWAYS MEGA CREEPY.

What if in "Breaking dawn" Jacob had killed Rosalie and after that imprinted on Renesme?
Jesus Christ, anon.
Well.
That's called "Jacob kidnaps a baby" because he knows there's probably know getting out of this one and having access to Renesmee is now his highest priority. If Rosalie was alive, he could talk, as it is the smoke is immediately noticeable to the other vampires and he can't risk being killed himself and he won't have time to explain (the explanation being bad).
Jacob books it, in a bad position because he has to carry a baby and can't really bite it and run as a wolf and it can't grip him.
He probably tries to get to Leah and Seth first, who are there close with him, and tell them to get a message to the tribe that the treaty's off because he just murdered one of the Cullens and oh yeah imprinted on the demon baby.
Whatever follows isn't good.

Since Sam is guilty about what happened with Leah, do you think there's any part of Jacob that feels disturbed about his imprint on Renesmee?
(Thoughts on Jacob.)
(Thoughts on Emily/Sam/Leah.)
Sam and Jacob are very different people, and their imprints seem to behave differently, for lack of a better way to put it - Sam is tormented by what he did to Leah, while Jacob brought Charlie to a newborn vampire to facilitate his own access to Renesmee.
Even before imprinting Jacob had tendency to disregard others, in a way that reads to me like immaturity and hotheadedness. His insistence Bella had feelings for him, the forced kiss, the suicide threat, all of that is the behavior of someone who is too sure of what's right and that he knows what's best better than others. He responds with anger and appeals to emotion (in particular his "What was it all for?" speech to Bella where a little too much of how he sees her comes to mind) when he's in a disagreement he feels strongly about.
If somebody with that personality is then given an imprint, making one specific person the most important thing in the universe to him and causing him agony if they are separated, Jacob's not going to be rational about it nor is he going to care about others: it is right and just for him and Renesmee to be together, they need each other and always will. Anyone and anything who gets in the way of that are a problem.
Sam, by contrast, is older, didn't lose his mother nor have to care for his father from a young age the way Jacob did, he was in a serious relationship with a girl he loved. By all accounts he is very mature for his age and puts his duty above everything else.
So no, I don't think it's surprising their imprint seem to behave differently, nor do I think Jacob feels guilt over Renesmee the way Sam does Emily.

It's really unfortunate that a number of people (mostly white people) in the IWTV fandom here on Tumblr seem to have this watered down view of the gothic genre as "cool, sexy monster stuff." I mean, yeah. That's *part* of it, but that's like, a very high school Hot Topic view of it. I mean, nothing wrong with liking the stuff you did in high school or Hot Topic, but it shows a lack of a deeper understanding.
I know I've ragged on Anne Rice a lot here, but I honestly think that this is partly her responsibility. Did she craft interesting characters? Yes. Did she give them flaws? Yes. But does she do a good job of challenging them? Not really. In fact, the way she frames then makes it seem like they're not flaws at all. I can accept the fact that slavery was normalized in Louis time, but I cannot accept the idea if no one in the story challenging it. It is not unreasonable for Daniel to be attracted to Louis during the interview, but at the very least, he should be uncomfortable with his attraction to him. Sometimes bad people are still attractive. That's an uncomfortable truth. But AR doesn't handle it this way. She never addresses it.
So, it's really not hard to understand why her fandom carries such limited views on uncomfortable matter, because her writing didn't challenge them to feel uncomfortable with their attraction to Louis. To Lestat. To even fucking Marius (who I won't get into here. Other people have already written about him here and have done so better than I can). AR made the sexy vampire books, and her fans just go along with all the awful things they do because, hey, they're monsters and it's cool because they live outside human expectations of morality (even though Louis was awful before becoming a monster). AR presents shock value, but doesn't address what's shocking. Her fandom, in fact, seems to take pride in illustrating no shock over what is shocking. This, in my opinion, is an illustration of *failure* to create an effective gothic story.
The show does a much better job, in my opinion, at presenting something gothic. I, a Black biracial woman of the audience, should not be attracted to Lestat. But I *am.* I shouldn't be attracted to Louis, but I *am.* I shouldn't be looking at their family dynamic with Claudia in her earlier days as a vampire through heart-shaped lenses, but I *do.* And it's uncomfortable. It's supposed to be. And I think Daniel's character does a good job of bringing the audience back into the horrible reality of the situation and causes us to check ourselves.
And I think white fandom really does a disservice to Jacob Anderson *AND* Sam Reid by trying to argue with Black fandom over the subject of race. Racism is a central theme in this version of the story. But they don't want us to talk about it, because they're uncomfortable with it. They'd rather pretend it doesn't exist and doesn't need to be discussed. But it's *supposed* to make them uncomfortable. They're just not used to seeing the benefits of being challenged, because AR never did. And unfortunately, they're missing out in a very fulfilling part of enjoying the story because they want to keep themselves in a little bubble where they can pat each other on their backs for not being shocked by shocking things and never growing as people.

if i had a nickel for everytime i had to side with the ‘secondary’ male love interest in a poorly written book series who underwent a character assassination to make his character less likeable because the author herself was in love with the primary love interest who is a flaming piece of garbage, i’d have two nickels….
which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice right?

Jacob imprinting in renesmee makes sense. IF SMEYERS DIDNT MAKE IMPRINTING A ROMANCE THIBG. Like if it was kinda like a protection thing or a completely and normal friendship bond it would make sense. Jacob cares for bella, he finally realizes he cant protect her the way he wants, he goes and tries to bond with renesmee instead. Giving her a good childhood away from the supernatural of the twilight universe. Like a cool uncle basically

Team Jacob thoughts:
I think because loyalty and abandonment are my big issues. I can never choose Edward(among other obvious reasons). If you want me to be your immortal vampire wife you better let me bring my whole family with me. Like the Cullens are not a family to me. And when it came down to it they followed Edwards lead and abandoned Bella. At least the wolfpack (before smeyer ruined it) felt for the most part like a family to me. The whole la push tribe felt like a family. The Cullens just feel so perfect and cold. Empty. Fake. A fake family. Im sorry but Edward is not enough for me to give up everything for. Not even remotely.

Hey remember in Breaking Dawn part 2 when Jacob said all the attraction he was feeling for Bella and her need to be around him was ALL because of Renesmee and the imprint? And when he asks Bella if she feels anything she says it's long gone?
At what point does the imprint take place? We saw the big moment where Jacob drops to his knees after the birth. That's when it was like sealed. But the like ✨vibes✨ were there while Bella was pregnant.
Does that mean ALL of Jacob's feelings for Bella and vice versa were because of the imprint? Like he was attracted to her egg that would become Renesmee way back in New Moon? Or was it only after conception? Or is it after he began shifting?
If we're going by Smeyer's destiny and the imprint is fate BS then like, which is it? Was the sandbox love Jacob had for Bella when they were kids also part of it? Would he have even cared about Bella otherwise?
