I'm gonna say it, I think Disney's political message in TFATWS is really ironic considering their pro-Israel stance — in particular, the one in which Sam makes a speech calling out the governments purposeful ignorance towards the why behind the terrorism.

This might be a bit of a long one; I finished TFATWS yesterday and the whole show just really had me thinking. There was a lot of political undertones to unpack, but also some blatant hypocrisy from Disney (and their Zionist supporters) that I feel like mentioning.

I mean, come on. Sam's whole speech about how people need to consider why extremeists and/or terrorists feel the need to take the measures they do to change things? Why aren't they taking into consideration all the years of apartheid and occupation Palestinians had to endure to push Hamas to these measures? How are they able to promote sympathy/forgiveness towards the show's "terrorist group" but continue to enable Israel's actual terrorism towards Palestine?

Sam points out that the government's so-called "Peace Keeping troops" are also carrying weapons and forcing millions of people into settlements while the government only condemns the Flag Smashers, and he's right. But does this logic and morality only exist in fiction? Because it feels eerily similar to the praise and pity the IDF gets despite the constant oppression of Palestinians. Carrying weapons? Forcing people into settlements? Gee, wonder where I've seen that before...

"I mean, this girl died trying to stop you, and no one has stopped for one second to ask why. You've got to do better, Senator, you've got to step up because if you wont the next Karli will — and you don't want to see 2.0. People believed in her cause so much that they helped her defy the strongest governments in the world. Why do you think that is?"

Hamas' actions were terrible, but they were not unprompted. How can Disney recognize this in a TV show in such a explorative and impactful way but not apply it to real life? Critical thinking, guys.

Just something to think about. Remember to keep putting pressure on Disney, and free Palestine 🇵🇸.

This IMDB interview for Spider-Man Far From Home hurts so bad now. All she does is talk about how much she loves working with everyone and she loves playing Maria and doing these movies and how everyone is so great to work with and how much she trusts Marvel and their process and then they killed her off.

Also bonus: Anthony Mackie comes to Cobie Smulders for relationship advice and now she won't even get to be with him in any new Cap stuff. UGH. This interview is so cute too.

Especially frustrating in another interview at San Diego Comic Con --- where Cobie was the ONLY cast member to show up to promote Secret Invasion and the whole audience was lead to believe she had a "major" role in the show Cobie confirmed that in Spider-Man Far From Home Maria and Fury were made to be skrulls (Soren & Talos) after the fact because there was no conceivable way for Fury and Maria to be tricked by Quentin Beck-- especially because Maria worked at Stark Industries! If you were watching Spider-Man in theaters like me and said out loud mid movie there is no way Fury & Maria would fall for this-- you were right! They wouldn't and this was the only way to get around that major fact. Another reason why Maria getting killed the way she was killed was such a waste. There's just no way that Maria would tell Fury 'you can't do this' and then he goes 'i'm going to do it' and she's like 'okay i'll help!! bad idea but shrug emoji let's go!'

I went to the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit and wanted to share for anyone who has not seen it. I am under the impression that the installation changes from location to location so I wanted to show this snapshot in time. I fully admit to being biased in what I will post so if you want to see a particular character, please let me know! Apologies ahead of time for my crappy photo taking skills.

Sam Wilson (Falcon/Captain America)

One of the reasons why I love The Winter Soldier movie so much is because it introduced Sam Wilson to me. Unfortunately there wasn't that many items for Sam at the exhibit. I need more! 😭😭😭

The image above is the first cover appearance of the Falcon in 1969 where he helps Steve who has been body swapped by the Red Skull. (Yup, you read that correctly).

All right, I did some googling and the comic Redwing story is just WILD. Sam has a telepathic link to Redwing and can see through his eyes. But then Redwing got bit by a vampire so now he's a vampiric bird with regeneration. And Torres got kidnapped and Redwing's DNA was used to turn him into a Human/Falcon hybrid and now both Torres and Sam has the mental link to Redwing. Then Torres becomes the new Falcon. Wow. Just Wow.

The Falcon costume is from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and I know the Bucky outfit is not but they look so cool together! And the shield between them!! I squealed so hard when I saw this!

Yes! Captain America in all his glory! Looking good Sam!

I kept on the lookout for any other items in the exhibit that had Sam...and the only one that I found was this! 👇👇👇

Squirrel Girl seems quite formidable to take on Captain America, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, and Black Widow! Loving the wings on Sam's Captain America suit!

And that's it! Hopefully the Marvel exhibit will add more Sam in the future!
