LOL. i love that scene. mainly because percy said that even if his parents heard annabeth, the worst thing that would happen is sally offering her a cup of tea 😂

i also thought it showed development in their relationship because in MoA, when annabeth appears in his room to wake him up, he gets super nervous and his heart races. but in cotg he literally wakes up to her fiddling with his window and breaking into his room, and he’s not even phased lol. then shes goes and sits on his bed with him, and that’s also nothing new apparently. so that’s a big step from mark of athena. she also knows exactly how long it takes for him to shower LOL.

so basically yeah, i’m with you. i feel like there were a lot of very subtle implications in that book. i’m desperately hoping we get more in wrath of the triple goddess!!

this was such a big topic on my page for a while. honestly, i go back and forth.

on one hand, dealing with periods would SUCK as a demigod, and i so badly hope they don’t have to deal with that on top of everything else. plus there’s the fact that they aren’t human, so they very well could not have one.

but on the other hand, the whole point of being a demigod is that it sucks because you have to deal with the bad parts of being both a human and a god. so i think they probably do 😭😭

gotta say, the way the LGBT community center in Cleveland convinced what seemed nearly 80% of people to wear masks was kinda brilliant, and definitely made me feel a whole ton more safe at the craft show.

the papers on the walls and in the flyer booth said masks heavily recommended (which holy fuck just even THAT was a relieving change to like. all of my literal doctors offices (including ENTs!) saying masks are unnecessary and refusing to wear them even for immunocompromised patients)

but most importantly AT THE DOOR! they were offering free rainbow face masks to everyone! which meant SO MANY PEOPLE took one to put on! because heck yeah rainbow on my face! and also fuck you, megaphone protestors outside! which meant I could sit in a chair in my n95 and look around and see actual masks on (most) people's faces!

not gonna lie, I almost cried at that. mostly as an at-risk disabled person, but also as a queer walking back to the car and seeing so many rainbows lighting up the street blocks.
